Black myth wukong fanart NO ONE FW THIS GAME THE WAY I DO☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️
I like the theory that we’re playing as the six-eared macaque as opposed to playing the real wukong…. Turning into yappatron 3000 rn but TO ME the six-eared macaque is mainly villainised because he’s supposed to be a manifestation of Wukong’s “negative traits”, the side he has to discard in order to be truly enlightened. The game’s story might possibly switch things? The six-eared macaque is treated as wholly separate from Wukong in some adaptations but to me (especially in Black Myth) he is Wukong to an extent (or at least specifically representing his unenlightened self) IM JUST YAPPING IDK!!!😄😄😄😄😄 tell me to shut the fuck up if I talk too much

A new trailer has been released for the game Black Myth: WuKong, an RPG game inspired by Chinese mythology!
Black Myth: WuKong is a game which has long been in development and long anticipated by fans. It is developed by the game studio Game Science -- a Chinese based video game studio! You can take a look at their official Chinese website here.
I've been following this game's journey for a number of years now myself, and being a big fan of these types of games I'm very interested in seeing this finally release, as it looks both visually stunning as well as intriguing with the setting. A lot of people are excited to see a AAA game from a Chinese developer hit a larger worldwide audience, with many hoping that this could be the beginning of more games coming from China!
Black Myth: WuKong releases this year on the 20th August, and it'll be available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X, as well as to PC.

Not gacha but psa Black Myth Wukong is made by a bunch of incels. One of the key developers had publicly stated that he think women are dragging the game industry down and souls like games should be for men only. The company never acknowledge this behavior and uses sexual innuendos as hiring ads. Chinese incels spend a lot of time going around both weibo and twitter harassing women who express negative opinion on the game as well as threatened refund and review bomb when the studio censored one of its female character's design.
Don't give the studio ur money and if anyone you know decide they want to play even after knowing the studio doesn't see women as people be careful around them.
Here's some context for eng speaker

Thank you, I would advise everyone read the article as it’s a good overview on the entire thing and gives the reader some information about feminism in China. There would be a lot for me to post everything here, I’ll post a couple screenshots and encourage everyone to give it a read. I hope everyone will not support these extremely misogynist men.

BEYOND parody. Like a lot of these kinds of guys, he sees men as fellow humans with emotions- depression, anger, pain. Manly emotions women cannot understand I guess. He sees the games that cater to these men as worthwhile. He sees women as not human- their personality is that they are girls. They will play the sellout crap you make and spend money frivolously to make their friends jealous. He thinks this is biological for some reason. I guess I should have consulted my uterus before playing “bloodbath” games like Bloodborne 😂 I swear inside of his head must be one of those toy aisles where every pink thing is on one side and blue on the other…

Watching Lego Monkie Kid and I keep wondering what exactly happen between Macaque and Sun Wukong (not helped by the fandom writing shipping drama); I assume the show explains it, maybe in season 4 but I realized I could just find out what happens in the Journey to the West; short version is that Six-Eared Macaque impersonates Sun Wukong to steal the glory of his quest, doesn't work, the two fight, no one can tell them apart except Buddha, and Wukong kills his double, also he might or might not be the Macaque King from the Seven Sages group; so yeah I assume a more toned version of that happens in LMK
But searching that (and stuff on other spiritual monkeys, there are 2 more); I found this blog with analysis on the Journey of the West:
It's very interesting; and the entry on the Six Eared Macaque references the LMK fandom! Apparently, author has conversations on JTTW on social media and Shadowpeach shippers don't like scholarly analysis that doesn't go with their ship, and like, guys come on, you should know by know that the Journey to the West and Lego Monkie Kid are widely different things
Also, I don't know if you've heard of Black Myth: Wukong; a game about the Monkey King, the blog thinks the protagonist might actually be Six Eared Macaque; Macaque fans keep a few ears out

Black Myth: Wukong looks extremely beautiful and has some interesting mechanics. I will probably play it when it comes out. However, part of me is pained that we won't get the real Sun Wukong experience. (I think within the game this is absolutely justified, because there are hints that the monkey we will be playing isn't actually Sun Wukong.)
Why do I say this: The game is Dark Souls inspired, with extremely difficult fights which can nonetheless be won if you pay a lot of attention to how the enemy fights and get good at timing your attacks and the likes. But that is not how it works in Journey to the West. In Journey to the West Sun Wukong's opponents fall into three categories:
trivial enemies (there are many many enemies that he just kills first try)
evenly matched enemies (in those fights neither one can win by fighting, and they need to find a way around that problems)
enemies with a special trick (they defeat Wukong because of an artifact or the like that counters his powers, the challenge is to neutralize their advantage)
Remember, Sun Wukong is immortal several times over. The Dark Souls experience on the other hand is to die alot. (Yes, it is also a kind of immortality, but a different kind.)
So what I am saying is: If you turned Journey to the West into a game, it wouldn't be an action game. It would be a puzzle game.
