Trying to figure out why i get so attached and feel so much because of fictional characters and situations to the point it’s genuinely overwhelming so i searched it up and. No. you don’t understand I do not imagine myself being friends with characters or being in a relationship with them or merely existing in that world i think about them and their relationships and their gut wrenching world ending trauma obsessively to the point it is unbearable. to the point it is PAINFUL. i don’t want to be them, I don’t WANT them, i simply need to comfort them in a way that is not humanly possible and it pains me i cannot cope with it

for me the saddest thing about beefleaf is that they were ACTUALLY close, close to the point sqx said they were best friends and i know it could seem obvious but we dont get to see a lot of scenes of them together and i keep imagining how they acted alone

was he xuan tender with sqx? did they make each other laugh? were they touchy? how would he xuan react when sqx was sick? what did they talk about? was it all a part of he xuan's plan?

Soooo ... I just read the Black Water Arc for the first time (bc I'm slow and read a hundred books at the same time)

I. Am. Broken.

I have flipped through the rest of the book and I haven't caught Shi Quingxuan's name ONCE!!! Is the subject dropped just like that?! How am I supposed to move on?! WHERE IS MY BABY?!!!

I don't get how He Xuan is still liked pretty well by a lot of people. Like, I know there's probably knowledge I don't have yet but still? I mean ... yes I would be pissed too in his place (understatement of the century) but how can Beefleaf be a ship after this?

Yes, He Xuan went through unspeakable pain and his hatred is understandable. It explains things, it doesn't justify them. Also, he didn't just take revenge on Shi Wudu, he also tormented Shi Quingxuan, despite him not knowing about anything this whole time. He also lived by his side and acted to be his best friend, which allowed him to crush Quingxuan later on. That's monstrous. I can't even imagine the psychological horror inflicted on Quingxuan.

Is there something I didn't catch or don't know yet? You can spoil me idc. But like, I really don't get it how the fans call Beefleef 'tragic' when they really are just toxic.

Like the whole base of their relationship was a lie from the beginning. How can you recover from a betrayal like this?

If you really simplify it, the Blackwater arc was just a really tragic triple date. Three couples walked in and one walked out(fully intact)

Beefleaf is tragic yes but think abt this, what if SQX and HX we're already together and HX was getting ready to reveal himself then he finds out SWD is the one that fucked him over

I just know in my heart HX would be like THE BEST father/husband. Y'all think he's all cool and brooding and distant, like yea, after EVERYTHING was taken from him, sure.

But I absolutely know for a fact he would have been so sweet and caring if he actually got to marry his fiancee (which too many people forget he had/loved dearly)

Especially because rich people sometimes marry only for status, while poor people typically marry for love.

It drives me batshit insane when people ship him with SQX WITHOUT at least acknowledging that HX's revenge plot was for his family and LOVER. Like, he obviously is NOT over it.
