Day 7: Blackclaw

He’s the simplest one I’ve drawn so far but i think he looks cool. The wiki says he has a long tail which I didn’t even know i just drew it so somehow i got that right

blackclaw is such a hater and it’s so funny cause he’s like that til he dies

-stubborn enough to be rude towards fireheart and graystripe after they save the lives of his kits and accuses the two of stealing them, even though riverclan is literally flooding and both fire and gray are soaking wet

-protests against windclan wanting to drink water and accuses them of wanting to steal riverclan prey (despite nobody from the three other clans knowing how to fish)

-helps hawkfrost spread rumors about mistyfoot behind her back (she’s his mate btw)

-thinks that brook should be exiled from riverclan because she chased a squirrel over the shadowclan border

-yells at mistyfoot for voicing her opinion

-thinks that onewhisker and ashfoot should die so mudclaw can become leader

-tries to get pouncetail to kill an innocent shadowclan warrior

karma is real though cause he chokes on mud in mothwing’s secret 😭

Was originally going to do that challenge where you draw Cinderpelt, Bluestar, Crowfeather, and Ashfur but instead decided to draw a bunch of black cats instead.

Anyways here's my shot at guess which cat is which in the two big group shots we see in the new preview. Some of these are incredibly easy to guess, and others I'm a lot more hesitant on. Obviously all of the easy ones like Longtail, Tigerclaw, Whitestorm, Oakheart are guaranteed, but RiverClan is probably THE Clan most effected by the inconsistent allegiances in the first arc. I'm pretty much certain the cat I labeled "Mistyfoot?" isn't her at all, but I needed SOMETHING to put there. It's incredibly possible and decently likely that the cat I labeled as Stonefur is actually her, as we know they were both present at the battle.

Also the brown ear that Potentially-Stonefur is fighting is absolutely Mousefur. We know based on the original books that Mousefur was present at the battle, but notable she's also not a tabby and doesn't have green eyes, so she can't be the cat hanging on the ledge (Who's most likely Runningwind, as a brown tabby with green eyes), so the brown ear at the bottom fighting Potentially-Stonefur is absolutely Mousefur

How do you think Mistyfoot would have taken it if Reedwhisker had been rescued alongside her, Feather and Storm during The whole Tigerclan debacle and chose to stay in Thunderclan? (If he'd been in the hole with them.)

I will entertain the hypothetical as presented, but just to be clear on my stance I absolutely refuse to accept canon in regards to Reedwhisker being part of Mistyfoot's first litter. It's an infuriating example of the authors taking the wiki as gospel and canonizing obvious mistakes. Plus I like the idea of a prolonged attempt at a return to normalcy with Blackclaw and then a painful divorce in the leadup to TNP as a backstory for Reedwhisker.

Anyway, I don't think she'd let him. As I said above, I feel like Misty would attempt a return to normalcy following the TigerClan debacle. She strikes me as overly optimistic of Leopardstar in a way that is not naive but rather... self-deceptive I guess.

I would say that knowing Reedpaw would go to ThunderClan maybe ruptures the mother-son relationship. I imagine it welling up a very bitter feeling on Misty when she and Blackclaw break up. Almost like her own son sabotaged it all. Sharp contrast to how I imagine the canon breakup where she is more clear-headed about it and how Reed is not at fault even if a make-up baby wasn't their best idea.

Some Warriors designs pt. 2

More designs for my return, after i disappeared for over a month.

Also, i made the first one a very long time, so it's kinda old, while the second one, only Hawkwing is old, the rest of the designs are pretty new. Sorry for the absence, alot of sh*t happened this time i was offline, i will try to start posting again.

Mosspelt's Kin

Next, we'd like to introduce Mosspelt's kin. We decided on her kin before Leopardstar's Honor came out!

Mosspelt was born to Dawnbright and Blackclaw alongside Whiteclaw and Greenflower. They were born in the newleaf before Firepaw joined ThunderClan and in the same season as Silverstream.

Blackclaw was an absent father, and she was raised mostly by Dawnbright and her aunt, Mallowtail. The trio were always close, though they had differing opinions on the absence of their father.

Through Dawnbright, she is kin to Softwing, Owlfur, Mallowtail, Shadepaw, and Dacepaw. Through her father, she is the grand-kit of Shimmerpelt and Piketooth, making her kin to Skyheart and Leopardfur.

Mosspelt was mentored by Crookedstar, while Whiteclaw and Greenflower were mentored by Leopardfur and Ripplerain respectively.

She's always been closest to Dawnbright and Shimmerpelt out of her kin, though she has a firm friendship with Silverstream, Shadepaw, and Dacepaw too!

You can see Mosspelt's kin dynamics in endlessly bound to crave approval.

I don’t remember if Blackclaw is ever mentionned training in the Dark Forest, but a lot of his behaviour seems to indicate some kind of ritual sacrifice (attempts)? I would joke that he’s desperately trying to kill a family member in order to join the Pure-Bloods but he ain’t a Tyto owl so they wouldn’t take him in.

In Forest of Secrets, he is mad at Graystripe and Fireheart all the time they are visiting when they are just bringing back his own kits (since he’s been more or less retconned into being Mistyfoot’s mate and her kits’ father). Why would he be mad at them for saving his kits?

In The Darkest Hour, he is the most vocal Riverclan supporter of Tigerstar when his mate and kits have Thunderclan blood.

I don’t remember much about him after but he is one of Hawkfrost’s supporters (against Mistyfoot, again). He doesn’t seem to care for her when she’s been catnapped, etc.

Sorry for being so dark but like... if he had just had a fling with Mistyfoot then regretted it, I would have understood his hostility towards her, but being mad at someone who just saved his own kits is a whole other level.
