Watched Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated for the first time today…

I know it’s really old by now, but with the horrible rise of that new one for “adults” I wanted to watch it since I’d heard good things. So…here are my thoughts as I watched:

-I love each character’s introduction:

* Velma the cynical tour guide who is also so bossy and pushy, especially with her relationship with Shaggy (I’ll get to that)

* Fred the trap-obsessed himbo…and his dad is the mayor here? Interesting.

* Daphne having sisters?! And all are super successful? That’s really cool! They’re pretty but they all have successful careers…nice touch. And it isn’t thrown in your face too long. A brief joke and background detail that might come back. (No spoilers though)

I love her voice too. It’s nice to hear Grey DeLisle’s voice and I think it fits Daphne here very well.

* Shaggy and Scooby once again eating everything as always, but the parents look very similar to Shaggy which is nice. It helps pull away from the fan joke Shaggy’s a stoner

-Patrick Warburton as the chief of police…perfect. I love his voice and though that mustache doesn’t fit it, that’s okay. XD

-Nice Easter eggs nodding back to the old shows too! Not only the most famous monsters from the original cartoon, but there was also the clown-jester looking one from the first live-action Scooby Doo movie. The one they unmasked at the very beginning before the tone shift of everyone separating.

-I knew when I saw the shade of green of the fruitmeir stuff it was connected to the goo…gross.

-Scooby is part cat??? (He extended a talon to open a lock somehow???)

-The joke about why a high school teacher would need more money. XD Too real…but very funny

-Shaggy and Velma are painful to watch…oof… And I know the twist there, so I know why. But it’s so obvious Shaggy isn’t that into Velma and that she’s trying too hard to be a couple. I don’t know why yet, but no spoilers.

Overall it’s a fun show so far. I got a few chuckles and though for this first episode of the reveal of the teacher as the culprit was…weird…since the group never suspected him to begin with so maybe the scene where he stages being a victim himself was for us and not the one-brain cell group (Velma usually has the brain cell), but it was fun. I liked it. lol

Bonus thought under cut…

I have a theory about why the show, Velma was made now too…

Mindy Kailyn hated this reboot of the show so much she thought “I can do better, and make it adult” and so we got the adult trash that is her show. It’s just the complete opposite of everything that Mystery Inc is:

-Fred is the most hated on (by characters) person and an unlikeable idiot of a kid whose father is embarrassed by him. Said father is also rich and important. Mystery Inc has Fred as a lovable himbo oblivious to Daphne’s feelings but with a father that is worried about him but not cruel.

-Daphne is a stuck up bitch that only becomes less of one when the forced writing of her being with Velma starts. Her parents are the ones they try to make likable, but no one in the show is. Where in Mystery Inc the parents want Daphne to drop her friend group and stop obsessing over Fred and make something of herself.

-Norville has an unrequited crush on Velma, and she is relentlessly cruel about it. This is the opposite of Mystery Inc where Shaggy is the one hesitant on how he feels and Velma is pushing to become public about their relationship.

-Velma isn’t just brutally honest, she’s judgmental and hateful toward everyone. Especially Norville, who doesn’t get the hint and keeps trying to get her to like him. Until he sees her kissing Daphne. Then he meets a black girl that people suspect replaced Scooby. Maybe a middle finger to Warner Bros for not letting the show use him.

Because yeah, they said no to Velma using Scooby in their show. It wasn’t because it wasn’t adult enough if they include him.

That’s just my theory, since it seems Velma went out of its way to be the opposite of Mystery Incorporated.

I barely remembered yesterday was the Summer Solstice. That's what happens when one has a busy life, uh? I forgot my camera, but it was ok, that's not what mattered, I guess. I still wanted to share, in case any of you guys missed it, so I snapped some quick pictures with my phone from the park's bench.

It was nice, calm, hard to believe it was so late at night, right? How crazy is that... I mean, the sun. The light, and the dark and the planet just going around. Sometimes being out late can be so scary, and other times there's still so much light, as if the universe was watching over us. Maybe the sun. But it's really just how things are. Is there a reason behind it being like that? No, not really. There's no motive, it's just how it is. I think it's nice anyway to give things a motive, it keeps us going.

I just sat on a bench a few blocks from my apartment after work and waited- had to do extra hours, got let out late from the office, how trashy is that? I was a bit mad about it at first, but I guess if it hadn't happened I wouldn't have gotten kimbap for dinner, or watched the sunset or remembered the first day of summer. I don't really remember many seasons, anyway, I guess. That's ok, though.

It's been a long day, I think it's time for bed already. Good night, happy first day of summer~.

Cw// new member of blackdragons,felix has a mental breakdown, small description of his death

Felix wiped his blood covered blade with a napkin as he got up and walked out of the alleyway. "Miya the target is killed, im on my way back."

"What happened to the pretty boy with the innocent heart?" Felix stopped and turned around to see nobody nearby. He shrugged his shoulders and turned to walk away when he heard the person speak again.

"God what did hell do to you Lix?" Felix instantly turned to see nobody before walking off,speedwalking when he heard the voice again.

"God Felix you look so pale compared to your used to be glowing skin." Felix stopped and turned around in anger. "COME OUT AND SHOW YOURSELF YOU BASTARD!" Felix felt a tap to his shoulder before turning around, eyes widen at the sight of his ex-best friend in front of him. "God when was the last time you smiled?" The guy questioned.

"October 17th 1999, the date of my death. You remember that don't you Chan? The day I died? Considering the fact that you knew I was going to die and did absolutely nothing to help me." Chan looked down at his shoes as he shoved his hands into his pocket.

"What the hell could I do? Tammy already threatened to kill me if i were to stop you from going with her!" Felix glared at him as he clenched his fist in anger. "Well now you don't have to feel threatened because i killed her." Chan looked at Felix with widen eyes. "Y-you did what?"

"I murdered her just like how she murdered me." His eyes watered as he could feel the vivid memories of his death. "I tied her to her kitchen table and used a fucking axe to stab into her chest. I opened her up and pulled her organs out JUST LIKE HOW SHE DID THAT TO ME." Felix exclaimed,tears running down his face as his eyes grew darker.

"F-felix I-"

"Wanna know why I don't smile?" He questioned, anger and sadness being heard from his voice. "Because your best friend, my ex crush took what was precious from me. She didn't neeed me for a sacrifice. SHE KILLED ME BECAUSE THEY HATED MY EXISTENCE." More tears fell as he dropped to his knees.

Chan looked at Felix with tears in his eyes before pulling the younger into a tight hug. "LET ME GO RIGHT NOW YOU EVIL LYING PIECE OF SHIT!" He exclaimed as he beat on Chan's chest, his tears staining the older's shirt. "Im sorry Lix im so fucking sorry."Chan apologized as the younger stopped hitting and cried in his arms,revealing the scared teenage boy that was hiding under all the pent-up anger and sadness.

"They murdered me for no reason." Felix mumbled as Chan rubbed small circles onto his back,something he used to do whenever the younger was worried or sad about something. "I know I know," Chan whispered. "I should've stopped them..i should've stopped her." Chan looked down at felix and smiled when he saw Felix asleep in his arms.

"Can demons even sleep?" Chan questioned before he lifted Felix up and threw him over his shoulder. "Lets get you out in the open."

Felix slowly woke up and looked around in confusion. "You woke up." He looked over towards the voice to see Miya sitting in the corner of the room. "Mr.Bang told me what happened and asked me to watch you while he was getting his things."

"Getting his things?" Felix asked in confusion. "What do you mean by that?" Miya got up and moved to the end of the bed,sitting down before looking at Felix. "He regrets not helping you. I can see it in his eyes and hear it in his mind. I told him that he got time to make it up to you so he said and i quote 'If Felix is doing dangerous missions then I must be there to help him, even if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore' So of course I brought him in for a test run."

Felix nodded his head and sat back on his pillow. "Im gonna go stay at Kun's house for the night. Tell Chan that I forgive him but i'll never forget it." Felix got up and grabbed his backpack before packing himself clothes for the night and for the morning.

He headed towards the door when he heard miya say "Mr.Bang told me to tell you one more thing before he left."

"And what was that?" Felix asked.

"He said 'smile, old friend'." Felix's lips curled at the comment before he nodded his head and exited the room. "Classic Christopher."

It always breaks my heart a little to watch one half of a couple patch the other half up after a fight- in this case, after an attack of manhunting muffaloes.

Poor Vasso probably finds it incredibly taxing to care for his childhood best friend-turned-husband, but it doesn't stop him from doing an excellent job— he even remembered to kiss it better!

I've also decided that, while he's wearing winter gear, I'm going to indulge myself and draw Vasso with his hair out.

Oh, and Blackdragon lost his right leg to the muffaloes, too. No biggie, Euclid had a prosthetic made for him faster than you can say "If I had a dollar for every time one of my colonists has lost a leg in this run..."

Toddler Blackthorn is now Child Blackthorn, and looks just like her mama <3

Speaking of mama... Honestly, Buckeye, you're supposed to be an asexual tree person married to a dragon with reduced fertility!! Stop doing this!!

Also, I have made the executive decision that new saplingchild doesn't count as "the next person to come onto the map" and will not be sacrificing her.

Not to worry, though. We have at last sighted the sacrifice that will earn us our ship!

The Empire is none too pleased with our valiant efforts, but they won't be a problem for long. Soon we'll have our ship, paid for in blood!

The black dragon and the coward CH. 15

Verde and Viper started to get a bit antsy. Their dear Clouddragon wasn’t back yet and Tsuna’s party was only a few hours away from returning. And even if Colonello doesn’t show it, he was starting to get worried too. Just as one of them wanted to tell the others, Skull broke through the treeline. Seeing him jump and bound they were relieved. Whatever he has done hasn't hurt him. They didn’t even have to ask: once he was close enough Skull talked all on his own. “You won’t believe what I saw!”

With Tsuna

Tsuna felt right at home with Yuni. She was so much like her mother that it was easy to talk to her but at the next moment she just… wasn’t. Sometimes he could clearly see just how young she was and how much the poor girl had still to learn. But her laughter…… It eased something deep within his heart.

“Ne ne, Tsuna-kun?” came a slightly hesitant voice. He looked patently at her and just waited but whatever she wanted to ask seemed to be something difficult. She looked at him, then at Reborn, back to him and then at her hands. And the longer no one said anything the more nervous she got. At least until the Blackdragon beside him had enough. “You’re just as bad as Tsuna. Out with it!” While the brunette started to protest, Fon only giggled and Yuni slightly blushed. But it was this blushing that made them stop again. Why exactly was she blushing? “Yuni?” questioned he quietly.

Reborn and also Fon had a good idea what the poor girl wanted, because it was the only thing she could almost never do here. It was part of their draconian instincts, part of their nature. At the end it was Fon that took pity on the poor child.

Because they were still outside with more than enough space, both adult dragons still wore their scales, so the Stormdragon unwound his long body and stepped up to her and gave her a gentle nudge with his nose. “He won’t know if you don’t ask. And he won’t bite if you do.”

Then he slid around her and back towards his companions, where he gave his brother a playful little shove and coiled his body around Tsuna. When Fon had settled himself, Reborn took his turn. But instead of getting up he just adjusted himself, so that his tail was right behind the young Giglio Nero and his head right beside the Vongola heir on the other side of Fon. Tsuna, completely unbothered by this closeness, just started to pet his friends, till both of them started a gentle purring. Seeing this open display of familial affection, Yuni looked at Gamma and at his encouraging nod took a deep breath before she too let her human skin fall away.

Tsunayoshi watched in anticipation. What would his niece look like in her scales? Would she look like her mother? Or would she look like Luce in all her glorious white? When the gentle orange flames started to fade away the boy stood up and slowly approached the young dragon. While Yuni wasn’t as big as Reborn or Fon yet, she was clearly bigger than him, but that didn’t matter. Gently cradling her head between his hands he put his forehead on hers.

Her scales were just as white as her grandmothers, but unlike Luce she had light blue and orange highlights across her slender body. So he told her the only thing that came to mind: “You’re just as beautiful as your mother and grandmother were.” Her answer was a short and high whine closely followed by a deep, rumbling purr. Together both children enjoyed this moment, because this moment was theirs: as an uncle and niece, simply as family. The other two dragons watched them with fondness and if there were one or two little tears in their eyes, no one would ever know. And just like this the sun started her way to the other side of the horizon.

After a rather teary goodbye they were ready to depart again, when Yuni started to sway all of a sudden. Gamma was immediately by her side before she could fall and held her close when she opened her now unseeing eyes. It was like time stood still and no one could breath for this fraction of a second. Brown eyes stayed glued to the shaking frame of his niece and he clenched his fists against the tough hide of Reborn. Said dragon just waited, because he has seen this way too often already. This was the curse of their gift: this vulnerability. The need for somebody else to be there. Seconds ticked by before the black haired girl sacked in her guards arms and panted slightly. Then she opened teary eyes and looked right at Tsuna.

Being the focus of these eyes made him slightly uncomfortable but the Decimo knew that he had to know what she saw. His intuition was slowly starting to hammer at his head and a feeling of dread was slowly consuming him. And because of this he just had to ask. “Yuni, what did you see?” But instead of answering she just shook her head, fighting against her tears. Standing up on now shaking legs she walked up to them, causing Reborn to bow down so she could reach him. “Hurry. You need to hurry!” Now she was desperately clawing at black scales, trying to reach the human on top. “Please Tsuna-kun! You need to hurry back to the forest! Disaster is fast approaching!!”

Swiftly sliding down the dragon's body he stood before her trembling form and took her in his arms and asked again. “What did you see?” It was neither a whisper nor was it a shout, yet it still held so much weight. The moment she was in his tender embrace she broke down.

“A foolish human. I saw fire and poison, dark clouds and thunder. The human demands but our kin wouldn’t tell, wouldn’t move! I saw weapons and blood”

Ice filled his veins at her words. The mentioned elements were clearly Skull and the others and even if he hoped not, the foolish human could only be his stubborn, stubborn father. But what weapons? And whose blood?! `It’s starting to repeat itself.´ His heart thundered behind his ribs. `History will always repeat itself´ Pictures of Luce and the burned forest filled his mind and slowly, oh so slowly those pictures were replaced with Skull, Verde, Viper and Colonello. The thought of his precious and fierce dragons bloody and motionless on the ground….. set his heart into overdrive. Next came the thought of Reborn mourning not only one but four of his brethren and he couldn’t let this happen, not again. NEVER again!

A fire was lit deep within, a gentle warmth that’s turning into a blazing inferno. His helplessness from back then wouldn’t keep him down this time. Not now and never again in the future. Brown eyes bled orange and silent rage flooded his body.

With one last tight squeeze he pushed Yuni gently back towards the waiting arms of Gamma. And with just as gentle hands he wiped away her tears, giving her a reassuring kiss on her forehead before smiling. “No hurt and no despair shall befall our family. Not as long as I have anything to say.”

In this moment all the dragons saw not a young boy, shunned by his village. Not a future Villagechief, forced to endure his teachings. They saw a vast and bright sky, despite his human appearients, a mighty dragon in his own right. They saw the son of Luce, Aria’s brother, a Skydragon ready to fight. And Reborn as well as Fon couldn’t be prouder.

With sure steps Tsunayoshi sat atop the Blackdragon once again, settled in while his eyes always stayed where their home was in the distance. He held tight before looking at the Stormdragon. “We need to hurry Fon. Our home and our family are in danger!” No more words were needed. His serpentine body wound itself into the sky and with his own anger rising he roared a song of rage and storm, causing the wind to pick up. In response to this Reborn opened his wings and gave his own cry, powering the storm even more with his given power. Standing on his hindlegs he beat his mighty wings, taking off with practiced ease and setting off towards home. With the brewing storm right behind them they traveled as fast as the winds would allow them and yet it was still not fast enough.

Gamma and Byakuran could only watch as poor Yuni looked after her friends and family. Could only watch as she buried her face in Gamma’s neck and whispered `Please stay safe.´ like some kind of mantra.

As a sky mage himself, Byakuran could feel just how much anger Tsunayoshi felt. Usually soothing flames turn hard and fire that’s not used to hurt is ready to burn all enemies to the ground. Looking back at the young dragon in the foxes arms he clasps his hands.

“May the kind one have mercy and guide us away from bloodshed.”

Even if he didn’t know the details, he had a feeling that this prayer was not the only one that’s needed….

In the forest

Four dragons stood ready for battle, their opponent none other than the man that took away their young sky.

Same man stood before them, fearless and with his weapon firmly in his hand.

“You have one chance, monsters. Where. Is. My. Son.”

Viper uncoiled menacingly, while Verde stood vanguard. “The only monster I can see here is the one pretending to be human!” was the hissed answer. Above them Skull was already taking a deep breath, protected by Colonellos water.

Iemitsu and Viper locked eyes, mist slowly rising around them.

With Tsuna

The wind whipped around his face and tried to steal his breath, but they didn’t slow down. Quite the opposite. “Faster Reborn!” Another cry, another roar and they actually sped up another bit. Through his blurry eyes he could see Fon circling around them, commanding the wind to carry them faster and faster. Ordering the storm behind them to blow fiercer than ever before.

`Please, oh kind one. Don’t let us be too late.´

He prayed one last time before they closed in on the forest's border. They heard a song, a cry. And what they saw……..

“…The Hex Girls manager has informed us the girls will be somewhat unavailable within the upcoming days. A road trip will be taking place and the girls are traveling across the country with one another in order to perform at the ‘Vampire Rock Music Festival’ at Vampire Rock. The girls will be performing alongside other notable big names, and will not be as active during the drive and performance. Happy Valentines Day everyone~! I hope everyone feels loved today in some way. Remember, not all love is romantic. There are so many way to express love! Don’t even think to say “lol not me!” Lol yes you too! Romantic, Platonic, and self love are all valid forms of love on this day!

Here’s a random Suzy fact!: In 2016, Suzy participated in the Give Grumps charity: Freddy Mercury Charity Marathon. It was her idea and proceeds and donations went to: Mercury Phoenix Trust! 

Alongside Suzy! Arin, Barry, Ross, Jack Walsh, Pamela Horton, Ian Hecox, Chad Quandt, Ryan Fey and Josh “Blackdragon” streamed Overwatch for six hours.

I’ll do this one on the Parental and Platonic F/Os

Platonic: Flug, Demencia, 5.0.5

Flug (Nerd Friend ✈️)

-I have several angles I write for how they met and why they’re friends...but the one that seems most fitting is in my story “Missing Pieces”

-Me/g was pulled through from “our” world into theirs via one of Flug’s ray gun inventions (that totally isn’t based on another dimension-travel device from another show I’ve never watched... lol)

-Because of this he’s very curious about her. Specifically what makes her different from the humans in their world.

-If not for Black Hat’s order not to do anything to it (the girl that just passed out on the lab floor) he would have dissected her for science.

-He still wants to do so...but she quells his curiosity a bit by voluntarily answering questions about her world.

-Though she’s more of a biologist (animal-focused), being a biology student before all this, and he’s more of an engineer...they can talk science on a competent level. Though he’s obviously much more knowledgeable than she is on it.

-They also both agree coffee is a godsend.

(That’s all I’ve got for now on him)

Demencia (Lizard Friend 🦎)

-First off, I know Demencia is mostly feral...but I wrote my notes for “Missing Pieces” before I knew this. So keep that in mind.

-I use the term ‘friend’ loosely...

-She is not a friend for quite a while, mostly because she is basically a yandere...and Meg is her (self-proclaimed by Demencia) rival.

-Even before Meg gains the (mostly unwanted at first) attention of Black Hat, Demencia disliked her.

-It isn’t until she accepts the painful truth that she and Meg have any chance of forming a friendship. Or at least a tolerance.

-To clarify, Meg likes Demencia. Demencia does not like Meg.

-They could bond over their love of monsters and reptiles if they become friends.

5.0.5 (Safest friend)

-Honestly he is her stress relief/comfort friend

-Sometimes the cartoony evil of the others can be overwhelming and she needs some semblance of gentle and caring.

-She’s a simple girl with simple needs. She didn’t ask for any of this.

-They draw together

-She bakes and he helps if he’s allowed

-Best hugs

-Her friendship with 5.0.5 helps her friendship with Flug

-It does not help her...whatever it is...with Black Hat

Eclipsa (Goth Butterfly Mom 🦋)

-I don’t know when she started feeling like a third mom to Me/g...but it happened. (To clarify, I’m adopted. I have a birth mom, an adoptive mom, and apparently now a sort-of fictional mom)

-Maybe because they have a lot in common (like dark, creepy things, monster lovers, kind of socially awkward)

-She’s there to give advice or just someone to talk to if Me/g can’t talk to anyone else.

-Would probably get along well with Aaravos... (hint at future art post)

-How Me/g met her: It only works for Universe Traveling version’s of my S/I story...but the one I think about most for this relationship development is BlackDragon-Me/g. She can Universe jump at will So visits the worlds of MY favorite shows, books, and games. That includes “Star vs”.
