So this might be a bit controversial, but, I think Blathers and Brewster should be put in night gowns and caps and have candles and go to sleep in a comically large bed together and go “honk mi mi mi mi” in sync while cuddling and holding hands.

Weird Animal Crossing Headcanons!

Tom Nook used to be married to Redd, now is dating KK Slider. He used to just have a crush on him, but after KK came to the island they got drunk on vacation juice and hooked up in the closed Able Sisters’ changing room, and other places after Sable caught them and kicked them out. The next morning, they talked about it and decided to take things slow. After meeting up every Saturday for a few months, they put labels on things. Timmy and Tommy who were so glad to see their Dad/Uncle happy, even though Tom Nook had to make up a sfw story about how they got together.

Redd is single, but still likes Tom Nook. He’s scornful and jealous that Tom has moved on. He always hopes that he will see him in his boat and want him back. It hasn’t worked yet, but he’s hoping if he keeps selling fake art, Tom will get mad enough to talk to him. Recently he came to tell Redd that he was welcome to sell his art on the regular part of the island as long as he didn’t claim the forgeries were real, but Redd told him to go fuck himself.

Blathers is married to Brewster. It was hard being long distance so Brewster decided to move to the island, too. Sometimes Blathers is self-conscious about how much he talks, but Brewster finds it adorable. Sometimes a family is a bird who talks too much and a bird who doesn’t talk enough.

Harvey, Harriet, Leif, and Pascal are in a polyamorous relationship with each other. Harvey and Harriet got together first, then they met Pascal and Leif. Harriet isn’t dating Pascal, but they are good friends. They’re currently a closed polycule.

Flick and CJ are dating. They were childhood best friends, then got together as teens. Now they live together in a 2 bedroom apartment. One of the bedrooms belongs to the bugs and fish. Flick doesn’t talk to his dad much, and people assume it’s because he’s homophobic. Really it’s because Nat loves eating bugs. Another example of politics destroying families 😔

Pelly moved on from Pete after she caught him pirating content from Phyllis’s Onlyfans. She’s now with a pelican named Pierre, who is a Boondoxian. Pierre is scared of Phyllis, as everyone should be.

Gracie is friends with benefits with Pavé and Resetti. She’s a dom and they’re into that.

Dr Shrunk’s wife wanted to open up their marriage and he agreed, but now regrets it. He talked to Dr Shrunk (his wife) about his regrets and she told him she wanted a divorce. He is having a midlife crisis, and now the only reactions he can teach are ‘heartbreak,’ ‘hefty child support,’ and ‘look at my exotic tattoo.’ This is why he is absent in New Horizons, as Nintendo didn’t think these reactions would be profitable. (Geez, show the man some compassion.)

Ankha is taking a break from dating after someone leaked her nudes. She went on a coffee date with Wisp once, but he was too much of a scaredy-cat for her.

Don Resetti has a crush on Beppe at OK Motors. They don’t see each other much, but every time they do is magical. A scrapped part of New Horizons was the player setting them up on a date in exchange for bells, but Nintendo decided against it.

Reese and Cyrus are happy as ever, and are that couple you mute on social media because they make you feel bad about your own love life.

Franklin used to have a Tinder, but deleted it after he only got messages from vore roleplayers. Speed dating hasn’t worked out well for him, either.

Gillivarr has an unrequited crush on Celeste. Celeste is the unrequited crush of many, many people.

Wardell and Niko are in a committed relationship after working together for years. Digby and Lottie had to make amendments to the HHA rule book because they were sick of the PDA.

Lloid is well-endowed, but he still has a difficult time with dating because it’s made of clay, and no size in the world can make up for that.

Grab Bag Doodles

Nothing really feels "right" anymore. I dunno, I just feel creatively bankrupt as of late. But nonetheless, I still find some occasions to put the pen nib to the tablet.

Notes under the cut.

1-2) A few attempts at some different "mini Kun3h0s." I'd like her mini form to look fairly consistent across appearances, some I'm trying to work out a good simplified look for her.

3-5) Misc. Kun3h0 Sketches. Still getting a feel for drawing her more consistently. I keep drifting back towards her original proportions. Also the rare semi-x-ray view. I've done a lot more recently, but I just wanted to post a small sampling since they're all essentially the same.

6) Sweetie & Katrina doodle. Going through the old posts made me a little nostalgic, so I drew a couple of the girlies from TPS. No, the show really hasn't aged that well, but it's always gonna a special place in my heart.

7) Mini!Kul Fyra + Young Kliff. Silly doodle trying to solidify their young designs. You can still see the original sketch underneath the new one, so you can probably tell that originally Fyra was supposed to be picking up Kliff by his shirt collar. It's my headcanon that at some point she just started carrying him around like luggage because it was more convenient.

8) Puppet Party. A call back to this doodle from a while back. I originally joked that how sinister the image was depended on how you interpreted Kliff as a character, so here's that more sinister take on the idea. But I'm not that into it, so I doubt I'm gonna come back for it.

9-12) Animal Crossing Open Seas character sketches. Some terribly rough sketches of a few NPCs from Open Seas. I'm not happy with any of them yet, but I hope that I'll find the motivation to put more work into them.

First are "The Katz," the potential cover band that teaches you how to play different instruments in exchange for food. I don't have names for any of them yet and I'm not even sold on them being cats.

The Faraway Museum Curator. This sketch really isn't close to what I want for them. I'd like something more "wise" and imposing looking to contrast with the kind of bumbling Blathers. I'm thinking that they're a stoic looking character that nonetheless gets really giddy when you show a genuine interest in the museum. Kind of like a tsundere, but they're old.

Brewster's Apprentice. I think they're supposed to be a budgie, but I honestly can't remember XP. I haven't developed them at all~

Castaway Creature. Implied to be the mayor that got lost during "the incident". They got washed up on a small neighboring island and have been living there ever since. The idea was to completely obscure what kind of animal they originally were, so their fur has grown out and matted so much that most of their features have been obscured. I need to refine it, but I think they're really cute. I have a distinct mental image of them waddling around and wagging their tail when you give them something nice. I'll try to detail exactly what they do in the "Boats" post for Open Seas.

Snowman Seal Villager. An idea for a potential seal villager. I think the seal lends itself to a snowman-esque design, so I made one. The name isn't set in stone, but I've taken to calling them "Snowbert" for the time being. Alternative name suggestions are welcome~

I have a few more sketches of both seal and ferret designs, but this one is the most complete right now.

Just some thoughts on the Tom Nook ships

Tom Nook x Sable:

It’s a decent ship, while I don’t personally ship it myself I definitely understand why people do. It just makes sense and overall is really cute, unfortunately I just see them having a sibling dynamic, but STILL it’s very cute 7/10

Tom Nook x Redd

Now this is one of the ships I don’t really like, the art is cute but I just don’t ship it. The only way I think they could be in a relationship is if redd redeemed himself(which most comics do), but I just don’t see redd as that kind of guy. And I also feel Tom would be hesitant in dating redd, BUT I do believe they dated in the city. 3/10

Tom Nook x Blathers

Yeah…I honestly just ship blathers with Brewster, and just see them as friends. Plus they dont interact that much sooo….yeah, cute but just dont ship it (fun fact: this was my first ac ship if that means anything)

Sooo I’ll just be honest this one doesn’t make much more sense either, but I still ship them. Yeah kinda a weird ship but still, I’ll talk abt it ig. Lyle honestly seems a lot happier when he’s working with Nook(I also think other things play into this but still) and THIS:
