Learning

In a short time, so much had changed, but a lot had stayed the same. Looking at her books on the table, Twila sighed. She had a new home, duty and family, but few friends, and the same schoolwork.

She knew she had to get used to her family. Sugar was away a while for study, and her parents often were busy elsewhere, so she and Flurry Heart, her new young sister, were often alone at the Palace.

Then, one time, Sugar was coming home at the end of the day, and to celebrate, Twila wanted to bake some sweets. Twila was busy in the kitchen, when Flurry flew over, and started babbling to her.

Twila sighed, finished mixing, put the cupcakes in the oven, and grabbed some crayons and paper for her. Now, the cupcakes were baking, Twila was doing her schoolwork, and Flurry was happily drawing.

Suddenly, exactly as the timer rang, Flurry dropped the crayon and flew off. Very carefully, Twila took out the cupcakes, and placed them on the counter, when Flurry came back, carrying a small toy.

Twila sat back down at the table, when Flurry tried to give her the toy. Twila groaned, picked up Flurry, who handed her the toy, that she put next to her, and placed her on her lap as she studied.

Soon after, Flurry fell asleep and Twila breathed a sigh of relief. Later, when Sugar got home, she found Twila cradling Flurry, cupcakes on the counter, and crayons and paper scattered on the floor.

She smiled sweetly at the cute sight, and took over Flurry from Twila, when she noticed the toy and the drawings. Usually, Flurry was very protective of her 'Whammy', but she gave it to Twila freely.

Twila was confused, but then she saw the drawing that Flurry made. Her family, with her parents and big sisters, including Twila. Sugar grabbed the cupcakes, and told Twila she was going to watch TV.

A moment later, she joined her sisters on the couch. Much later, when Cadance and Shining got home, they found the three sleeping, surrounded by crumbs and wrappers, and the drawing on the fridge.

They were happy to see Twila was learning and growing, as a Princess, a daughter, and a sister.

Due to the sheer number of nominations (there are OVER 330 RIGHT NOW), I'm closing up the form in a few minutes. If you've meant to submit someone but didn't get around to it, now's the time.

Once I'm done tallying the votes, I'll announce the bracket and there'll be a 3-day gap to let everyone start campaigning (and to let me go enjoy my spring break lol).

I do have one question before the polling starts up proper: Considering that these guys are from a medium that is... not visual, a lot of them don't have canon art/photos/whatever. Its bloggin about real life shit time!

Heres before and after pics of my floors.

We spent the last two days getting the actual floor done, and the rest of this week was getting my stuff out of the room in the first place.

Theres talk of repainting my walls while i still have my stuff out of the room, but that was literally brought up for the first time 30 minutes ago, so we might not?

Either way, ive still gotta spend a lot of time sorting through stuff as i put it all back the way i want it. I have a lot of clutter that needs to be either gotten rid of or reorganized.

Im gonna be busy for a while, i think. Also, my brother and i wanna go to the beach, so thats gonna be a whole day's delay. Im exhausted lol.
