Not really... but I think the potential is there!

I won't lie, it hasn't really bitten me the same way shadowvanilla did. I think the thing about Hollyberry's chapters that's drawing me in the most is Hollyberry herself. I find the exploration of Hollyberry's alcoholism, its relation to her being a neglectful mother + ruler, and her possible self worth issues far more interesting than any ship. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing how that resolves in ch 10.

I think I'm having trouble finding an interesting dynamic between them just yet because we don't know enough about Eternal Sugar. The main appeal to me with beast x ancient ships is the "you are the only one who understands" mentality; they are all literally soulmates (not necessarily romantically), and that divine, irresistible connection is what draws me in, but I don't think we've seen the empty part of Eternal Sugar's struggle that Hollyberry is meant to fill just yet. Based on the little bit of her past we saw, I definitely think there's potential! But as of right now, I only see it as exactly how its presented in canon: Eternal Sugar is obsessed with Hollyberry for specifics we don't yet know, and Hollyberry just wants out (still a fantastic dynamic).

Also just as a personal preference for shipping, I LOOOOOVE a slowburn. That's why shadownilla was so good for me, because it was set up a year ago irl, and AGES ago in fiction (and in my ideal world, it would take them ages beyond where they left off in canon before they approached anything resembling a real relationship). They had a lotta time to cook. But with eternalholly, because Hollyberry is only just now becoming aware of Eternal Sugar's existence, it doesn't really hit the same for me

could you go into detail about why you don’t plan on writing mma!sae with kids? sorry if you’ve answered this before i’m just curious

i get why this question comes up a lot since it’s hinted at kids at few times with their text messages post and sae’s breeding kink / the fact he thinks about having them during their pregnancy scare.

but i imagine before that, sae didn’t want kids. he just doesn’t seem the type to me to want them, and with him being an mma fighter he’s just way too busy to have them. i do think that he would be open to them after meeting you / the reader, but i also think he wouldn’t mind not having them, being perfectly content with his life as a married man with no kids.

it’s one of those things that with the way i wrote him, it could go either way so i wanted to leave kids open ended! i also wanted to take into account that there’s a lot of women who don’t want kids, myself included. i think sae would appreciate that and wouldn’t expect his wife to put her body through something so traumatic to give him a kid. especially when he knows he probably wouldn’t do that either.

however, he’d be so appreciative if you ever did! he’d make sure he’d be so present throughout the pregnancy and prioritising you. but i can only imagine this when he’s a little older, and plans on retiring from being an mma fighter soon. his job is very demanding and if he was going to have kids, he’d want as much time as possible to be there for you and his child!

he’s the kinda guy who’s like “it’s up to you if we have kids, it’s your body so it’s your choice.”

i hope that explained things better since i have answered this before but my explanation wasn’t as thorough!! i understand where the questions come from but it’s pretty important to me that i don’t decide for him or the reader that they will or won’t have kids!! it’s completely up to you guys and if you would want kids or not - and if you’re unsure that’s fine too! sae would be there to reassure you that it’s completely down to you and that there’s no pressure. he’d 100% help you through your worries <3

PLEASE explain some things about HOMESTUCK MINUS CANON i am LEGITIMATELY INTERESTED

Instead of getting an ultimatum n splitting the timeline based on johns decision i chose to make it all sunshine n rainbows cause i love the fluff n i will never forgive the epilogues for jumpscaring me w dirk hanging himself in what was supposed to be the silly lighthearted timeline

So far i don't really have a plot just everyone hanging out

The remaining trolls ask john to save the rest of the trolls like he saved vriska in the retcon with the only exception being vriska herself he tried talking to her trying to convince her that fighting lord English isn't worth it n to please just go to earth c w him but she's too far up her own ass to abandon her delusions of grandeur

I haven't drawn anything about it yet but i imagine he'd also try to talk to ghost vriska trying to save any vriska at that point but she's made peace with living the rest of her days in the dying dream bubbles or something like that

I thought more about the humans than the trolls but back on earth c everyone is living their domestic lives

Rose n kanaya still adopt a troll daughter but this time they don't name her after vriska cause in my heart kanaya fucking hates her n rose is indifferent their daughter is a mutant blood like karkat cause kanaya n karkat actually have a positive relationship unlike a certain blue person (also something something dolorosa parallels) karria is the one who admires vriska n models herself after her much ti kanyas horror

Jade ends up w davepeta as opposed to having negative rizz n no one wanting them they also don't have a baby w rose behind kanayas back yaaay i imagine ruby kinda resents jade cause they had a hands off approach to parenting inspired by dear ol grandpa (i am not sure how davepeta would be as a parent I'm making this up as i go along)

Jake n rox end up together cause i couldn't care less about janejake or dirkjake n i love crackships also rox is trans it's the only thing I'm keeping from meat cause i love him transmasc rox haters go make ur own au anyways merlin is a silly what is he a wizard or something that sounds gay

John n dave have a little situationship going on both of them are pining hard but dave isn't ready to commit n john to me seems like he'd want kids i think he'd want to n love being a dad so casey jr became real me thinks even if dave is not ready to commit he'd drop everything to support john n casey if john asks him but john doesn't wanna force the parent lifestyle on him blah blah your feelings matter too whatever they're emo it's kinda gay tbh

This is as far as i thought about in depth the other characters are there i just haven't thought of what to do w them i could pair up the trolls too this is my dollhouse after all equitav is definitely gonna be there i love them so much

My problem is w jane n dirk cause they're so awful in the post canon content i genuinely have no idea how to even begin to cater them to my liking everytime i see them in the epilogues n 2 i just think of this

At the very least jane won't be the fucking evil president cause mayor is right there n he's already perfect n dirk won't be insufferable n completely mischaracterised it's like the ppl writing this didn't even comprehend their character arcs I'll stop now before i reveal too much of my post canon opinions

I also wanna explore a little bit of vriskas side w her refusing to take the L n not pretend to be the hero n watching everyone in the dream bubbles die cause of her hubris I'd take vriska war trauma over whatever the fuck is going on in the meat timeline anytime

It is always so entertaining stepping into a fandom for the first time and realizing how very different your perception of a piece of media is compared to everyone else. For example, upon seeing Phoenix Wright for the first time I immediately thought of Steve and Joe from blues clues, and I was shocked and alarmed to learn that nobody else picked up on this energy.
