thinking about how on twitter a lot of us held our breath for it to implode and just die as a site like cghub did but

the current development honestly..yeah it makes sense =__=

basically everyone who doesn't pay for the bluecheckmark's posts are suppressed as hell

so the only way to get the same amount of reach we used to have is by paying the billionaire baby for it. (i personally shant but i cant judge other artists for doing so cause, it's scary having your livelihood threatened like that. im scared but..hoping i can make do by being diligent with multiple social medias)

im just musing over how it feels like we got the end result we all expected (twitter turning into the an inhospitable place for communities and indie/small artists especially commission artists), but not in the way a lot of us expected

Because, really, so much work could be done in actually protecting real-life children online: forcing Etsy and Patreon to stop allowing 'parents' to sell photosets of their children under the guise of 'fun model inspo', hunting down and cataloging all the hosting sites that are used for the (sorry, puking in my mouth as I type this one) 'CSEM Market' so major websites can put a blanket ban on links that lead to them, creating some kind of new system to stop minors from getting into settings (Discords, DMs, etc) where they are surrounded by active groomers.

... But, nope! Because going after cartoons and lines on paper is easy. And, heaven forbid, the current face of online activism in any regard jump onto any cause that may entail a little actual footwork.
