I can't stop laughing my ass off about the twitter bullshit.

> people start making fun of all the idiots giving you money

> add the ability to hide the checkmark so your simps don't get bullied as much

Look, i'm not encouraging staff to make Tumblr into a money hungry horrid website, but i'll be honest, i have no remorse or sadness for them when they add no monetizable features to the site, and then complain that its not making money. Clearly, from the blue check badge thing, we can see that its not impossible to make these users pay for things.(and then youve gone and made new badge designs free) Just add some interesting but overall unnecessary things that make the site more fun, and paywall it. thats going to be much more profitable than just waiting for people to donate or buy merch. Add dashboard customization i can buy to, idk, make posts into floating bubbles, i know so many people who would pay for that.

Not only that, but i also dont understand their approach to new features as well. I think theyre trying to imitate other sites(tumblr live, new for you page, etc.), but doing it in a bad way or just adding features we were glad arent in tumblr. On top of that, we have bugs and broken features that have gone unfixed since even before yahoo days. fix the search function already instead of trying to distract us with new features. Hell, if youre adding features, prioritize quality of life stuff. we dont need shiny new toys.
