Chapter 51

We're finally here. The Last Chapter. See the end notes inside for information on my future plans for this au.

The title page for this chapter was done traditionally instead of digitally. It's a redrawing of the first canon bnha cover but VATER. I actually drew it months ago and I've been saving it since then.

Summary:

The Real Truth: Izuku has to find a way to reform The Organization. He doesn't know how. Katsuki and Himiko might be willing to help, but they have goals and ideas of their own too. Denki and Tooru make a discovery. Izuku needs allies, and he's going to need time to make them.

The Lies it Reveals: The Organization is corrupt. Everything Izuku, Katsuki, and Himiko ever thought they knew about it was a lie. They're left with nothing but questions about their upbringing, their purpose, and everything they've ever known. Together, they'll have to struggle through the aftermath, but first they need time to come to terms with their new knowledge.

Extra: Amajiki receives a strange note in his locker. Denki and Tooru get invited on a first circle patrol. Denki hacks into Organization cameras. Tooru connects dots. Izuku and Katsuki move into the dorms. Himiko gets ready to find the rest of the League again. Hisashi and Inko make a decision. Izuku stays up late and gets to work.

Something in the back of his head watches him.

Chapter 50

Only one more chapter left to go after this! That's absolutely insane! Thank you all so much for following this for so long, I appreciate every single one of you that's given me kudos or commented. I'm so glad I could write something so many people could enjoy :)

Summary:

Successful Rescue Missions: Katsuki is rescued from the League of Villains.

Legacies Fallen: All Might wins his fight with All For One, but he loses his power in the process.

Extra: Izuku comes to a decision about Katsuki and Himiko.

VATER pt 2 update!!

Ok wow that was a longer hiatus than I initially intended but I can now OFFICIALLY say that the planning for part two of VATER is finally done and I'm really happy with it :)

I can't promise anything for at LEAST the next month or two but I do have every intention of getting back into writing for it as soon as possible and going back to my regular schedule of a chapter a week (along with some art). HOWEVER for my own sanity there will probably be a few mini hiatuses here and there so I don't get too swamped at any point in time :)

I can't wait to start posting again though! ALSO expect more animatics I've got several ideas for some throughout the thing and I will be working to improve the quality of them I have found a better program to do them on (honestly reediting the ones I did previously isn't off the table either those kind of don't look the best but we'll see)

I'll see you guys soon with the first chapter of VATER pt 2! At the moment, it's working title is "Sins of His Name," or SOHN for short.

Summary:

Reflection on Memories: Izuku has remembered everything, but somehow that doesn't make things easier.

The Truth: Masaru, Mitsuki, Inko, and Hisashi reflect back on how things got to be the way they are.

Extra: Denki sends a message to Kurogiri. Himiko and the rest of the League are finally prepared to attack.

An Attack's Preamble: Himiko sits on a cliff and thinks.

Summary:

Hospital Bed Conversations: Izuku has an interesting conversation with Iida and Todoroki at the hospital.

Information Raids: Tooru and Denki break into Best Jeanist's hero agency.

Extra: Izuku has a bad dream. Katsuki watches the news. Himiko holes up in an old Organization safehouse and spirals. Tooru and Denki freak out when they hear the news about a certain serial killer's arrest.

Summary:

Conversations With Aunties: Himiko has a conversation with her Auntie Inko.

History Lessons: Izuku has a conversation with All Might about a familiar topic.

Extra: Katsuki watches as Izuku steals his moves. Tooru and Denki do some digging into Bakugou and Midoriya and come up with more questions than answers.

Summary:

New Heroes: The class picks out her names.

Old Heroes: Izuku gets an internship offer from a retired hero named Gran Torino. His first impression of the man is interesting, to say the least.

Extra: The class picks out who they want to intern under. Izuku and Uraraka worry about Iida. The first day of internships begins. Yoichi makes a decision.

Summary:

Changes of Heart: Izuku fights Muscular and comes to a new conclusion.

Kidnapping: Katsuki plays his role in their plan.

Extra: Tooru and Denki both face the fight in their own ways. Himiko holds herself back. Katsuki discovers that his own role in the plan might put him in a situation he doesn't want to be in.

Final Plots: Mitsuki and Hisashi preside over a Council meeting where plans are discussed. Giran helps out behind the scenes of the LOV.

Bus Rides: Denki, Tooru, and their classmates finally begin their journey to summer camp.

Summary:

Passing Grades: Tooru, Izuku, and Katsuki all pass their exams. Izuku and Katsuki just barely manage to scrape by.

Failing Grades: Denki and Mina fail their exam.
