Marvel released it's own version of Heavy Metal with Epic illustrated, the first issue had a cover date of March, 1980. The magazine format and lack of comic's code allowed for Marvel to release "mature content". The anthology series also allowed the artists and writers to have ownership and royalties to their work instead of the standard work for hire that dominated standard comics. The first run ran for 34 issues. The first issue lead to the creation of Dreadstar and also included stories set in the Elfquest universe and Silver Surfer from the mainstream Marvel Universe. ("The Answer", "Homespun", "Aware", "For the Next 60 Seconds", "Aknaton: Chapter One", "Lullabye of Bedlam", "Elfspire", "History of Human Absurdity Part 1", "The Victor", "Shakti", "Convert", "Heads", "Za! Chapter Two", "Juliet Chapter Three", "Detour", "Topaz", Epic Illustrated 1, Marvel/Epic Comic Event)

Trans Wendy!
I was doing research on Bob the Builder's origins and I found out that Wendy was originally going to be a male character called Lenny (that name would then be used for an unrelated character in the series)
so then they decided to make her a female, with the stereotypes going on at the time she was originally going to be a ditzy secretary type but eventually became the cool hard worker that we know today
I think this is iconic, because this was like a big change for kids tv, with characters like Wendy and Penny from Fireman Sam, girls who watched those shows were able to see women working in those professions and see them be treated normally, and not as stereotypes

FOX Network Will Move Family Guy To Wednesday Nights Starting on Spring 2024 In New Animation Domination Schedule.
After 20 years of dominating Sunday Nights, "Family Guy" is leaving Sunday nights and will air new episodes on Wednesdays starting March 2024 pairing with the live-action sitcom Animal Control.
That’s so the new Fox Entertaiment Animation series Grimsburg, can move to the Sunday night 9:30 spot, following The Great North at 9 p.m.
Fox’s revised Sunday animation lineup kicks off Jan. 7, immediately following the Fox NFL doubleheader with a special preview of “Grimsburg,” starring and executive-produced by Jon Hamm. Following “Grimsburg,” animated series schedule continues with new episodes of “Bob’s Burgers” and the season four premiere of “The Great North.” both produced by 20th Television Animation. “Grimsburg” and “The Great North” will make their time period premieres on Sunday, Feb. 18, as the night begins with new episodes of “The Simpsons” and Fox Entertaiment Animation's “Krapopolis.”
