It’s funny too because I guarantee most of those people saying it’s rude to call him that, had zero problem being the first in line to call all of bucks previous romances stepping stones to Buddie before they collectively decided Tommy was somehow the new Sun and Moon and Stars of Bucks world. Which is wild to me because the vast majority of them didn’t even remember who he was until they looked him up after Tim said he was briefly coming back. And sorry not sorry but if people like Abby and Taylor who were both much more integrated into the show and much more developed as characters, can be called stepping stones, and those people never found that rude or disrespectful, then Tommy who has had a grand total of maybe 10 minutes screen time in the entire series so far (being generous) and set up to be a mirror of Eddie from start to finish since his return this season (Tim’s own words mind you 🙃) can certainly be called what he is. A plot device.

Yeah my feeling is a lot of people are so in love with T*mmy mainly because he's connected to Buck's bi storyline. So all the emotions people felt at finally getting to see Buck come out and kiss a guy have been in part also put onto T*mmy. I mean consider this. If T*mmy was brought back to be a boyfriend for Josh (a character who has been canonically gay the entire run of the show) would people still be obsessing over him as much? I doubt it.

Also like you said people called other relationships of Buck's stepping stones or had issues with his past girlfriends but that was never as big of an issue as it is now. Now it's if you dare to say anything that isn't positive about T*mmy you don't care about Buck or his bi storyline. Yet we're also being told as Buddie shippers that we're making everything about Buddie. When they've definitely made Buck's bi awakening so much about T*mmy.

Yeah the show has totally made it clear that Tommy is supposed to be a mirror of Eddie, like him in so many ways just not quite the real thing. They even had Eddie saying and doing similar things to him in 704/705. There's no way this stuff isn't intentional given how popular Buddie is. The writers would know to be careful of how they handled Eddie if they didn't want Buddie to be a thing. Yet the message they're sending to the audience is that Buck is dating someone who is a replica of Eddie because it's just never occurred to him that Eddie was an option. T*mmy's main purpose in my opinion is help wake Buck up to his true feelings for Eddie.

They're just being willfully ignorant to the story the show is actually telling. We can love Buck and support his bi awakening storyline while still not shipping B/T.

I see the importance of T*mmy's role in Buck's life right now. I think all of Buck's relationships are important in one way or another whether I liked that person or not they all helped to shape how he got to where he ended up. Still that doesn't change the fact that they've all been stepping stones in some way towards Buck finding his person and that's Eddie. At least that's how I see it. You can and likely will love a lot of people in your life but there's only one person who is your soulmate. Who loves you and gets you for who you truly are and helps you to be your best self. That person for Buck and Eddie is each other.

I’ve made posts about this before but I’m gonna keep on about it. Please if you love Buddie (when you have time) you need to be posting about them on every social media platform there is. Also liking and commenting on posts especially ones that are on official 911 accounts like the main ABC one or the actors or when interviews come out.

If ABC posts about Buck/Eddie or Ryan and Oliver you need to remind them in the comments we’re rooting for Buddie. I know Buddie fandom is bigger and louder than B/T fans but I keep seeing them all over. There's no reason that pairing with two eps of build up are getting anywhere near the level of attention as Buddie does.

I’m not saying as fans we have all this power over what is going to happen on the show but we have some sway. It’s part of how bi Buck has even happened. So us being so vocal and supportive of Buddie all these years and even more now while the story is still unfolding matters.

I don't want Tim or anyone else getting the impression that we want T*mmy sticking around any longer than necessary at least not as a love interest.

I know there's been a lot of talk about how the show needs take their time and build Buddie's story if they're going canon and I know some want Buck to be with T*mmy so Buddie can have that slow burn towards getting together. While I do think it's important that Buddie's story is not rushed and handled with care that fact is we really have no idea how many seasons the show even has. I wish some of you would realize we are not living in the golden age of tv anymore. We are living during a time when tv shows get canceled even when they are successful just as a way for networks to cut costs. It's why Fox canceled 911 before it was moved to ABC.

So as much as I do want the show take all the time in the world with Buddie I also want us to actually get to see them go canon. I also feel like we've been in a slow burn with them for six years especially those of us who have watched the show for its entire run. I want to see the show make some progression in moving Buddie's story further along. I'm not saying I want them to be in a relationship tomorrow, absolutely not. But I do think that moving into season 8 I'd like the show to have given us some kind of canon sign that both men feel something for each other beyond friendship. We know they do but I mean something that can't be taken any other way like say an almost kiss at the wedding for example. I'd also like for Eddie to be dealing with his own sexuality storyline by next season.

Back to T*mmy in all honesty the main reason I don't want to see him sticking around much longer is because of his fans. I'm tired of just how much the B/T fans have taken over our fandom. All the tags even ones on other social media platforms are being overrun by B/T and worse by negativity towards Buddie and Eddie and the complete minimizing of the importance of Buddie going canon. I'm glad that T*mmy has helped Buck with his bi awakening but he is so clearly not meant to be an endgame love interest. I just want to see him gone or have the storyline at least move on to where if he's still on the show it's as a friend for Buck, which I personally think he needs more than a relationship right now. Someone who is queer who can help him navigate this newly discovered part of himself.

the show is the one making it all about buddie we're just following the actual narrative. unlike some other people who seem to think all the promos including buddie, the actors talking about buddie, important buddie scenes in every ep all must mean that B/T are soulmates and are going to be together for the rest of their lives 🤦‍♀️

100% no offense to Lou because he seems like a good guy but I'm beyond tired of seeing a new cameo vid of his everyday because BT shippers are obsessed with him after two episodes where his entire contribution was kissing a man once. Meanwhile where has this same energy been toward Buddie and Oliver and Ryan? You all are acting like he's single handedly come along and saved the show.

Rewatching the promo made me think of something. Where are Buck and Eddie's tuxes? When we see them talking to Maddie they're wearing the outfits from the night before and the only tux we do see I think is Chim's (the one hanging on the door when they go looking for him). So did they get stolen? Did someone destroy them when all the partying was happening? Did they not have time to get dressed because they were busy looking for Chim? Are the tuxes with Chim? Something had to have happened to their wedding outfits because they show up at the venue covered in puke and Eddie missing his entire shirt (minus the collar 😝).
