omg yes please write something for bodhi, i’m trying to find something because he just sounds such a nice person and hope he appears more in the next books, i also love xaden but i think he belongs with violet so i don’t wanna interfere there ahaha
If u want ideias idk maybe like a new student who was also obligated to go to the riders quadrant and she’s a sunshine and so he got a soft spot for her even tho they shouldn’t fall in love because that quadrant is ruthless u know? ahaha
At the first glance
Bodhi knew it was done and dusted the moment he caught a glimpse of your hair twirling across your face as you tried to keep your posture steady while on the parapet. For some reason the moment his eyes caught a glimpse of you that was the only thing he could look at. The only thing he could focus on. And something about that exact moment made his heart clench.
He had watched so many cadets cross that path. He was done flinching. Done caring that much. Bodhi too had mastered that cold expression Xaden wore but something about you, had made him lose all of that cool demeanor. A stone chipped beneath your feet making your right leg dip and Bodhi took a step forward without even thinking. "What the fuck are you doing?", Xaden hissed beneath his breath. But Bodhi didn't as much as stopped to listen, stepping closer to the very end of the parapet, to get a better look. "Bodhi", Xaden called out once more.
Your body swayed as your eyes darted down. Fatal mistake Bodhi thought to himself. A scream left your lips as you tried to find your footing, panic making you even more clumsy. "Eyes up here", Bodhi shouted through the wind. He could hear Xaden walking closer to him but he wasn't gonna budge. "Hey, eyes up here!", he shouted at the top of his lungs. And that's all it took for your frightened gaze to dart up.
From your frail body, Bodhi could tell that you had never even planned to be here. Pale skin was yet another indication that you spent little time outside. So there was no way you had magically woken up and chosen this fate for yourself. "You got this, you're almost there", he shouted as you rose back up to your feet. "We don't do this, Bo", Xaden pulled at Bodhi's arm but the male yanked it free instantly, "You interfere and I will throw you over the edge". Something gleamed in Xaden's eyes. For a second Bodhi was convinced that he was going to be the one airborn but not on his dragon this time. However, all that Xaden did was back away as he scowled at the crowd that had formed, making the noisy group break apart.
Bodhi's eyes were back on you as you neared the very end. Only now did he catch a glimpse of your damp cheeks. The bleeding lip no doubt from you biting it hard as you tried to concentrate. He knew the rules, he couldn't interfere. Couldn't help. No upper hand was allowed. Yet the closer you got the more Bodhi's hands itched to reach forward. You gasped as the solid ground neared. Nearly crashed into the rider waiting for you on the other side.
Bodhi's arm instantly wrapped around your lower back as he lifted you off the end of the stone ledge and into the solid balcony. Your knees buckled but Bodhi held onto you firmly. His other hand brushed over your damp cheeks, "Pull yourself together till they mark your name, then I'll find you a safe corner", he whispered, softly, blocking you from the rest of the people there. All you managed to do was nod as you pretended to shove him away, trying to take self-assured steps.
Bodhi met Xaden's eyes across the room. The look was displeased, to say the least. But they were family. They understood each other. So Bodhi didn't need to plead. Didn't need to pull any strings, at least not for now, to keep you safe. "Name", Xaden asked. You braced yourself against the table. The wing leader knew that hazy look all too well. "Name cadet?", he repeated. You blinked a couple of times, "Y/n Y/l/n", it was barely a whisper.
A loud cry echoed from behind you. Some gaps filled the room as the cadets rushed towards the windows. Someone no doubt had fallen and death strangely entertained people up here. Xaden looked at Bodhi, with a quick nod, pushing past you. And then you felt hands on you. You tried to move away, push yourself back but it was for nothing. "No, please", you breathed out but a hand quickly clasped over your face. Then the darkness of the side corridor fell upon you. "You're safe, I won't hurt you", Bodhi muttered, looking over his shoulder.
You eyed the man in front of you. You heard stories about the riders. About the brutality of it all. Bodhi turned back to you, "I'm Bodhi, you did good out there". You swallowed thickly, "I nearly fell...", you muttered. "But you didn't, you just can't show anyone your weak spots", his hands held onto your forearms, "The moment someone sniffs out your weak spot you're dead", Bodhi himself frowns at the coldness in his tone. Your eyes gloss over with nee tears that rip at Bodhi's heart.
"I never wanted to...", you brace yourself against the wall, looking so small that Bodhi had to fight an urge to wrap you up in his arms and snarl at anyone who looks at you the wrong way but he knows that wouldn't get you far. "I'll help you get through this", he said firmly. You shook your head, "I have nothing to give you", you wiped the tears away quickly. Bodhi simply smiled at you, "Let's call it a partnership at first glance", he extended his palm to you. You looked at him with confusion in your eyes for a moment before you shook his waiting palm, "Welcome to the rider's quadrant, sunshine".

that time of the month
fourth wing boys (Aaric, Brennan, Bodhi, Dain, Garrick, Liam, Ridoc, Sawyer, Xaden) x reader
how our favorite boys would take care of you when you’re on your period [request]
words: 588
🏷: no book spoilers. gender neutral, no pronouns used. mentions of periods, cramps,, etc. soft and fluffy. these are kinda short bc it was hard to not make them repetitive — I think they all give excellent care + cuddles 🥰
Aaric is a quiet support kind of guy to me. he’ll be by your side, but not overbearing or too touchy. really good at playing with your hair and massaging the back of your neck if you get migraines (like I do) he also sleeps flat on his back and perfectly still like a total weirdo, so he’s great to use as a body pillow.
Brennan is the number one man for the job, and I’m not just saying this because he’s my favorite. he’s a mender, so he can literally stop your pain, and he can get stains out of clothes super easily. also just a very nurturing and gentle person, takes excellent care of you all week.
Bodhi is going to use this as an excuse to cuddle you and take naps all week (I love how the Bodhi girls have collectively decided that he’s just a lil cuddlebug 🥺). expect lots of murmured words of affirmation about how strong you are and how much he loves you.
Dain, the overgrown boyscout he is (I say this affectionately) is prepared. he knows when that time is coming up, and he is properly equipped to take care of you. has everything you need in both his room and yours. also gives a 10/10 back massage (canon, actually.)
Garrick insists that you spend the week in his room, because his bed is more comfortable (it honestly is) and that way he can take care of you. he’s very nice to cuddle up with. lets you sleep in his clothes, too, for maximum comfort. has a secret stash of all your favorite snacks, too — he’s been getting them from the fliers. don’t tell Xaden. (Xaden totally knows, and is also getting snacks from them.)
Liam makes sure you’re eating even if you have no appetite, and that you’re staying hydrated, etc. you might grumble about it, but absolutely nobody can say no to that face. he knows not to take it personally if you get mad at him, because you’re hormonal + in pain. gives fabulous cuddles, too, and lots of sweet words.
Ridoc knows not to make any jokes at your expense or fuck with you when you’re feeling fragile, instead showering you with cheesy verbal affection to get the grumpiness out of your system and get you feeling a little better — as much as you can, when you feel like your insides are being ripped out. uses his hands like ice packs for you, holding them on any place that’s particularly achy.
Sawyer was a little awkward about it at first, but now he’s a seasoned boyfriend who knows what you need and does it without you needing to ask; snacks, cuddles, back rubs, so on and so forth. helps you with whatever’s particularly difficult this week. ties your shoes for you so you don’t have to bend down and strain your back, etc.
Xaden can sense that you’re in pain, and the minute he’s able to, he’s scooping you up and whisking you away to rest in his arms. abuses his wingleader privledges a little bit, letting you have the worst day(s) off. don’t bother trying to lie to him and say that you’re fine — he knows you aren’t. don’t question the sudden change in his normal tough-guy persona either; just enjoy it.
++ none of these men are at all scared or grossed out by a little blood. they’re men, not boys, and they’re used to it anyway, going to this deathtrap of a school.

Tight Black Leathers

Pairing(s): Liam x reader
Warnings: SMUT, mdni, 18+
Summary: As Liam's girlfriend, you've been feeling rather... fed up, lately, that he's been ordered to hang out all day with another female. So... whatever will you do about it?
SR’s Note: Ooh, switching it up with a Fourth Wing fic? Okay, okay... and yes of course, Liam is my favorite character from Fourth Wing. No, I still haven't recovered. No, I probably never will. Denial is a river in Egypt-
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *
You clicked the power button on your phone once more, checking fruitlessly to see if your boyfriend had responded to your message. Of course, he hadn't -- but you'd expected as much. It was Friday, which meant he was on Violet-duty today, per usual.
With a sigh, you tucked the device into your pocket, zipping it shut as a familiar voice approached behind you.
"Hey Y/N!" Rhiannon's usual bubbly tone made you smile, and she took in your state. Her face softened as she took you in a warm embrace. You appreciated the kindness she offered you -- her friendship was a priceless one you'd made after crossing the parapet. She was one of the only people, other than your boyfriend, who truly understood how hard it was to be a rider when you were meant your whole life to be a healer instead.
"Still haven't heard from him?" She asks softly, releasing you. You shake your head, and she loops her arm through yours, pulling you with her in a cadence down the dormitory hallway.
"Well, there's no point in waiting around doing nothing," she starts. "We may as well have some lunch, hmm?" As if on cue, your stomach gurgles, and you both chuckle at the sound. You truly couldn't be more grateful -- you hadn't eaten all morning.
Entering the cafeteria, you find your squad -- well, most of them. Imogene's unmissable pink hair shakes back and forth as she listens to a ridiculous story Ridoc recounts; Sawyer is laughing at something Bodhi is saying across the table. You can't help but wonder...
"Hey guys!" Ridoc greets Rhiannon and you with a smile, but you only continue to search the tables near you. Imogene folds her arms over her chest, sitting back in her chair.
"He's not here," she says, and you look to her. Rhiannon takes a seat, motioning for you to sit by her, but you only stare at Imogene in hopes she'll keep talking. "Violet took the lunch break to get in extra training time, so-"
You squeeze your eyes shut, head dropping to face the floor. You'd been missing him so much recently, since Xaden assigned him to follow your fellow cadet around like a guardian, you barely saw him anymore. Your own boyfriend. He was spending time with another female. That was really starting to get old.
"Of course." You clip. Ridoc huffs a laugh, and Rhiannon glares at him.
"He's only doing what Xaden tells him-" Bodhi begins, and your eyes slide to his.
"Anymore, I don't really care what Xaden-" Your rage begins to bubble over, and the table falls silent as their gazes drift behind you. Shadows curl around your fists, the cool tendrils working against your warmed skin.
"Care what Xaden... what, exactly? As your Wingleader, I would love to hear you finish that sentence, Y/N." Xaden's lethally calm voice sounds from behind you, and you glance over your shoulder, face falling at the realization. You shake your head.
"I... it's... look, I just think it's a bit much to have Liam following Violet around all day, don't you think? Can't she defend herself?" You ask. His hard gaze on you only intensifies.
"I would say Liam is one of the strongest in this wing, wouldn't you agree?" He asks, and you nod.
"Yes, but-"
"So he will continue to defend what's most precious to me." He says in finality, turning to walk away as you scoff, throwing your hands in the air.
"What about what's most precious to me, huh? I never get to see him anymore because you're always having him whisked away to defend your girlfriend -- isn't that your job!?" You nearly shout. The entire room goes silent, and Bodhi slaps a hand over his mouth. Rhiannon's jaw is practically on the floor, but your eyes are only met with Xaden's searing gaze as he turns to face you once more. He steps close to you, speaking again in his constrained, calm voice.
"I highly suggest you take the rest of the afternoon off, cadet y/l/n. You seem a bit high strung -- wouldn't want you too worked up for the challenges later this evening." The muscle in his jaw ticks as you turn on your heel, beelining for the exit and stomping all the way back to your dorm room.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You know what? Xaden was right. The afternoon off was exactly what you needed before a night full of challenges. You spent the whole afternoon getting yourself more riled up within the confines of your dorm, pacing back and forth and glaring into your mirror. Did you nap? Nope. Try to calm down, do some meditation, maybe? Absolutely not. Perhaps stretch, or read a book so you were at ease before the night began then. Hell no.
You were ripping a brush through your long hair, slamming it down on your desk when you decided the strands were untangled enough. You yanked at the band around your wrist, muscle memory causing your hands to wind your hair into a ponytail atop your head when you catch sight of yourself in the mirror. You glance down at your phone still dark on your desk, and an idea sparks in your mind. Dropping your hands, you run them through the strands a few times before separating the mass into three sections. Since he likes the Sorrengail so damn bad, you thought. Maybe you'd show him you she wasn't anything special. She was just like everyone else here; she was just like you.
Securing the band at the base of the tight braid, you sway side to side, pleased with the result. Pulling on your tightest-fitting leathers and boots, you sheath your finest daggers and head out of your room. Within minutes, you've crossed the courtyard and are in the training center, approaching a mat near the center where you find Ridoc and Bodhi and Rhiannon gathered. Rhiannon turns when Ridoc whistles loudly at you. You lighten your steps on instinct, realizing you're still stomping your way across the mats toward them.
"Ohhhh my, Y/N," she looks you up and down, taking you in fully. You huff a breath, pretending not to notice her stare. Or Ridoc's. Or Bodhi's. Or Violet's...
Or Liam's. From three mats over.
"New tactic?" Ridoc laughs, and you roll your eyes.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Uhhh, distracting your opponent with the tightest black fighting leathers you could find?" Rhiannon giggles, and you scoff, feigning innocence. Bodhi only groans.
"CADETS, attention please!" Emmetario shouts. He stalks closer to the mat you stand before, calling off more pairs for challenges. You and your friends watch as people fight and wrestle match after match. Rhiannon wins her challenge, Ridoc hands Jack Barlowe's ass to him, and your attention snags on the mat a few feet away as a new pairing is called forth. Your perfect, wonderful boyfriend is taking the mat, shucking off his tee and revealing his perfectly toned body, abdominals flexing as he laughs at something Xaden says. He takes a fighting stance as another guy from third wing stands opposite him, and they begin. It's not long before Liam has the poor fella on the floor, tapping out. Being the kind male he is, Liam hops off and helps him up, shaking his hand and offering him a kind smile after they finish their challenge.
As he is exiting the mat, his eyes meet yours and widen slightly, raking over your body as he slowly steps off the platform. They linger on the straps clinging to the curve of your ass, then trail back up to the form-fitting compression shirt you've chosen and his brows knit in confusion when he notices your new hairstyle. You tilt your chin up and flip your hair over your shoulder, just as Emmetario bellows once more.
"Bodhi and Y/N!"
You walk onto the mat, Rhiannon cheering from the sidelines. Bodhi looks to you in silent apology, and you position yourself close to your friend, taking your beginning stance. You can see the worry in his expression, and you glance to your left as Liam, Violet, and Xaden flank the edge of the mat to observe as well.
"Bodhi, it's alright. I know you won't hurt me for real," You say. He grins at you.
"Never." Is all he says, taking his beginning position, not-so-subtly drinking in your form so close to his. You smirk.
"Begin!" Emmetario calls. Bodhi immediately lunges for you, but you're quick and dodge his advance, and he stumbles forward -- you've trained with him countless times, you knew he'd make the first move. You snake to the side, wrapping your arms around his midsection and using your whole body weight to throw yourselves both to the ground. You cry out as you land on your own elbow, and he tries to roll you onto your back. You dig your heels into the ground, fighting with all your strength to stay to the side of him and not let him get on top. He's stronger though, flipping you with his hands around your knees. You plant both feet in his ribs, knocking into him with as much force as you can muster and he falls back with a sharp cry.
The growing crowd winces and you jump to your feet once more, him following suit and clutching his side only for a moment before charging you once more. You crouch; but you're too slow this time. In seconds, his hands wrap around your waist and your thrown over his shoulder, hands smacking against his back.
You know what comes next -- this is the part where your opponent will throw you onto the mat, onto your back, knocking the wind out of you. You won't let that happen; not tonight. You tap into the rage you felt, all day, all week, and unleash it, feeling every feeling all over again.
Anger. You push against Bodhi, his hands losing grip and you tumbling haphazardly down his back. "Keep pushing, Y/N!" Rhiannon shouts.
Hate. You turn, Bodhi's still doubled over. Now's your chance. You run, jump, cling onto him, grabbing his neck and wrapping your legs around his waist-
Jealousy. It was a ploy. He whips you around, throwing you to the mat, hard. You shriek, breath catching in your throat as he holds you down with his forearm. He gazes down at you, his familiar friendly orbs glowing with warmth as he shifts uncomfortably above you.
"I'm not going to hurt you, Y/N, but... I'll be damned if anyone ever climbs me like a fuckin' tree-" the words die in his throat as your red-hot emotions dissipate, laughter rising and breaking free past your lips as he chuckles along with you.
"I don't care! I said she's done!" The sharp tone has your gaze turning to the left, the crowd making way as Emmetario calls after the tall male entering the mat and heading straight for you. In seconds, Bodhi's weight is completely lifted off of you and you suck in a breath of full, delightful air.
"Yep, and you can stay the fuck off of her, thank you very much," Liam gripes, bending down to grasp both of your hands in his and pull you up. You gasp as pain blooms in your back, and he begins leading you off the mat, away from the crowd. Toward the exit.
"Liam... Liam... I didn't tap out; my challenge wasn't over-" you stutter. He turns, his raging blue eyes narrowed on you. Yours widened in shock as you register an emotion so rare, especially for him you almost missed it.
Sadness.
"Trust me. It was over."
✧・゚: *✧・゚
"Liam, it's only a bruise, it'll be healed in a few-"
"He shouldn't have been man-handling you like that."
You stare at him, pacing back and forth in your dorm room from the bed where you sit. He half carried you back here a half hour ago, ending your challenge early and ignoring orders from a professor in the process. Now he seemed all worked up over your injuries, which were rather minor, at that.
"Like what, exactly? Liam, I've trained with Bodhi a million times. I know he would never hurt me. Not for real, anyways." You say, and Liam meets your gaze. His deep blue eyes are as dark as the midnight sea, only illuminated by the candle lights in your room. He chews on his bottom lip, halting his pacing.
"He trains with you?" He asks quietly. You scoff incredulously, fiddling with the band at the end of your braid and loosening the strands.
"Yeah? He's my friend, Liam. I have to have someone to spar with, right? It's not like my boyfriend is exactly... available..." you trail off, casting your eyes toward the floor. You finish undoing your braid, the strands hanging in loose waves over your shoulders. His brows knot in confusion.
"Y/N, what are you... what do you mean?" he walks close, kneeling before you, placing his hands on your knees. His face is level with yours, and Gods damn you if you don't want to kiss him-
"You know I'm always here for you Y/N..." he says softly. You meet his gaze, sucking your bottom lip between your teeth to keep it from quivering.
"Liam... I barely even see you anymore." Oh boy, here we go. "You always have to be with... with Violet... and if I do see you, it's never in our own privacy... I never just get you alone, to myself..." you trail off. He presses a soft kiss to your knee, and you praise yourself for changing into shorts and one of his big shirts when you returned earlier.
"Baby... you know I just have to hang out with Violet for now, just because of all the attacks and such, but," he places another soft kiss further up your thigh, and you feel your pulse quickening by the second. "...you have me alone... right now, right?" He asks sweetly, his eyes meeting yours again. You lean back on your elbows, and though his tone is sweet, the lust swirling in his irises tells a different story. You nod wordlessly, and he continues moving up your body, softly pushing up the hem of your shirt with his fingertips. His eyes remain in contact with your as he plants soft kisses up your abdomen, the muscles flexing as you fight to remain calm under his searing touch.
He pulls back, lips curing into a wicked grin as his eyes waver to your waistband, and he hooks a finger under the seam.
"If you wanted to be... man-handled... you could have just... asked." He says, your eyes widening at his words. Heat pools between your thighs, the incessant need for your boyfriend to ravage you only growing with every passing second he teases you. He chuckles, slipping a hand beneath the bands of both your shorts and underwear and wasting no time sliding a finger through your folds, easily gliding through the slickness. His lusting gaze meets yours again, and his free hand pushes himself closer to you on the bed.
"Mmm... you really have been missing me, haven't you?" You nod, looking up at him doe-eyed and innocent. He shakes his head, cupping your jaw and running a thumb over your lower lip while continuing to tease your leaking heat with his other hand.
"Such a good girl... I haven't been around as much as I should, have I." He says it more to himself, his forefinger circling your entrance and you rock your hips forward, aching for more.
"I haven't been as good of a boyfriend lately, and I'm sorry for that, okay?" He cups your cheek, and you meet his gaze.
"Liam... please..." you beg.
"Let me make it up to you?" He asks. Your nod of confirmation is all he needs as he slips both his index and middle fingers in -- knuckles deep. You gasp, jolting forward a bit and he pulls out, reinserting and driving them back in again. You bite out a moan, leaning back on your hands and looking up into his eyes. He's smirking down at you, drinking in every inch of your complexion as he massages that spongy spot inside of you.
"Liam..." you chant. "Liam, oh... my..... please-" He rises from his knees on the floor, continuing to curl his fingers inside you, to hover over you. He cuts off your whimpers with a beautiful, bruising kiss that is both sloppy and salivating. A mix of tongue and teeth clash as you make out with a primal need, his teeth finding your swollen bottom lip and playfully latching on. You groan once more, feeling the warm band in your stomach tightening.
"Gods I'm... I'm so-" Liam retracts his fingers and you groan, his lips finding yours again. He shucks his trousers off, kicking his boots off moments later. He breaks the kiss, yanking his shirt over his head and pulling yours off after, your bottoms following. Laying bare before him, he breathes deep, loosing his breath through the nose as he hovers overtop of your naked form.
"Y/N, you're the prettiest girl I've ever seen," he says sweetly. You blush, even though this is the hundredth time you've had sex with the man and probably the hundred millionth time he's called you pretty. You feel his hard on grounding against you, and you wiggle your hips, only creating more friction. Liams hand meets your hip, holding firm.
"Tsk tsk," he says, kissing your nose. His hand snakes between the two of you, his knuckles brushing against your pelvis making you shiver. His fingers wrap around the length of his cock and stroke a few times as he inches closer, and when the head finally makes contact with your dripping core, you whimper.
"Li... please..." He flashes you a devilish grin, his cute dimple warming your heart as your hands find their way to his built shoulders atop you.
"Since you asked so nicely," he says lowly, and pushes into you. You suck in a breath, the small stretch increasingly painful as he continues to push in, inch by delicious inch. The pleasure courses through you when he is finally fully sheathed inside of you, a growl escaping his throat as his hips retract and slam back in with immeasurable force.
"LIAM-" You shout. He pulls his hips back again, only pulling out half way as he continues to pound into you relentlessly, relishing in every breathless moan and scream of his name he can pull from your perfect lips.
"So tight, baby.... my gorgeous, gorgeous girl," he praises. Your hands slide down his tones arms, and the calloused fingers on one of his hands thread through your delicate ones, holding them to the mattress above your head. His breath comes out in short pants, and you let out a particularly sharp gasp.
"Ugh, fuck Liam; just like that," you breathe. His fingers let go of yours and wrap around your lower back, pulling you flush against his chest. HIs pace quickens as your breasts bounce with every quick thrust he delivers.
"You feel so good, Y/N," he says between breaths. His soft grunts almost send you over the edge, the new pace and angle spurring the impending orgasm from within. His warm breath tickles your neck, and his lips find your cheek, placing a single kiss as he continues to savagely thrust into you. "So perfect..." he whimpers.
You can't hold it together long enough to warn him this time as you fly over the edge, your orgasm barreling through you. You cry out, hands tugging on the ends of Liam's hair as your walls squeeze around his throbbing cock that hasn't yet slowed, riding you through your high. Your thighs start to shake, and Liam's mouth drops open as his eyes meet yours once more.
"Oh fuck, Y/N-" he jolts, releasing inside of your pulsing core as his movements begin to slow. Your combined ragged breaths are the only sounds filling the room, and his fingers trace the curve of your collarbone as his eyes lovingly gaze into yours again. You offer him a soft smile in your fucked-out state and he chuckles, slowly slipping out of you and retrieving a cloth from your desk. You move to take it from him, but per usual, he insists on cleaning you up himself.
Ahh, the gentleman he is.
He returns from tossing the cloth in the wastebasket, and you pull his big tee over your head for the second time today. He frowns at you, and shrugs, reaching for his pants and pulling them back up over his hips. He takes the spot on the bed next to you, propping up on an elbow to stare down upon you.
"I meant it," he starts, and you sigh.
"Liam-"
"Really, Y/N. I know its shitty that I have to always hang around with Violet. I know it sucks that it means I have less time with you. And... and I know it isn't your favorite thing. It isn't mine either." He says, taking a strand of your hair and twirling it around his index finger before letting it fall, and going for another piece.
"I know this, and I still listen to Xaden's orders. I know that doesn't make me a very good boyfriend, and I need to do better." He says in finality with a nod. "I'll talk to Xaden in the morning about it." You lean up off the bed, planting your lips on his. His hands cradle the back of your head, kissing you back with all the love he has to give. When you pull away, you know that no matter what, no matter how much or how little time you have together, there's no changing the connection the two of you share.
"Liam, I don't think I could find a better boyfriend than the one laying next to me in this very moment. You're as good as they get, my love."

Moments of Peace
Moments of Peace
Notes:
Bodhi Rook/Reader, everyone lives au, post-rebellion, hurt/comfort, chronically ill/disabled reader, fluff
TW: chronic illness, chronic anxiety/PTSD, chronic pain/unnamed physical disability or health issue
Ao3 Link
★★★★★★★★
Temporary housing for rebels who chose to relocate to Chandrila was…sufficient. There were no luxuries in this old apartment building, and it had certainly seen better days, but at least it was the first floor—a request that had been granted by the higher-ups after explaining your chronic pain condition and the turbolifts that seemed to be constantly undergoing maintenance.
But, in its own way, just the certainty of having a home was a luxury after so many years moving from base to base, running from the Empire. You had running water—hot water—every single day, at all hours. Electricity was never on the fritz. Nobody was at each other’s throats about whose turn it was to use the poor gonk droid (who likely wanted to be left alone for just a few minutes). That specific gonk droid had fortunately gone into the care of Chirrut who, along with Baze, had been assigned to a building across town.
After living in such close quarters during your years with the rebellion, sometimes it felt like your rebel family had been split and scattered. You had to remind yourself that being in the same city, on the same planet as those you cared about—and alive at that—was a blessing. You were all looking for more permanent situations, had choices to make about what would come next. And Chandrila had a lot of its own adjusting to do as well.
But it would have been nice to at least have been assigned to the same building as Bodhi. Finally free from the chaos of war, you’d hoped this might leave more time for intimacy. Your relationship had blossomed under the most dire of circumstances, and you often worried that as things quieted…well, you’d already seen some rough breakups among your peers. Some relationships that prosper in chaos just can’t survive peace.
Which is why when Bodhi came by tonight and told you he wanted a fresh start, you panicked.
“No, love,” he said, “stars, I can be horrible with words. That’s not what I meant.”
You were both sitting on a thrifted sofa in the sunny living room of your tiny apartment. A tooka-cat that had been following you around since you’d arrived on Chandrila six months ago had his head in your lap. He’d adopted you, lived indoors now. You clung to his soft body as he purred—he seemed aware of your rapid heart rate.
“I’m so confused right now,” you told him. “Did you meet someone? What—”
“Not at all,” Bodhi said. “I want a fresh start for us. I’ve never even taken you on a proper date. The only caf we’ve ever had together is that instant rubbish they had on base, or in the back of my U-Wing. Have we ever even sat down in a caf bar?”
Admittedly, you’d both been incredibly busy since coming to Chandrila. While your body had never allowed you to be in combat, the New Republic was now flying relief missions which you sometimes were able to join. You’d heard many times from many rebels that making and repairing flight suits was as essential to the Rebellion as flying X-wings. But it had felt good to be able to go with Bodhi and Pao to distribute rations, first aid gear, and other necessities to worlds that needed aid. It was only now that things were finally starting to slow down enough that you were looking for work in town while Bodhi and Pao had just yesterday signed a lease on a space for their future droid repair shop.
As you began to relax your shoulders, the tooka jumped from your lap and left for the kitchen where you could hear him crunching kibble.
“A caf bar?” you ask. “No, I don’t think so. Not together.”
“Shouldn’t we?” he asked, reaching out to take your hand. He rubbed his calloused thumb delicately back and forth over your hand. “I don’t think I would even know what to order for you if we had all those options. You know, for the real stuff. Different milks and sweeteners…all the flavors you can add…”
Bodhi shivered, a nervous tic you’d come to recognize over your years with him—first as a friend, and then as something more—a lover, a partner. He ran his other hand through his dark hair, and it fell forward again, brushing his shoulders.
“I want us to have all the things we should have had,” he said. “I want us to have those special firsts that we would have had if we hadn’t been fighting a war when we met.”
“Oh,” you said, your breath coming back to you. “I thought for a minute you were breaking up with me.”
“I could never,” Bodhi said, sliding closer to you. “You are my home.”
He wrapped his arms around you and you buried your face in his neck, taking deep breaths. He smelled of citrus and leather, of the clean cotton t-shirt he was wearing.
You lifted your head just enough to touch your nose to Bodhi’s, to tell him, “And you’re mine.”
He kissed you then, his plush lips meeting yours in a much-needed moment of relief. When you took his face in your hands it was with your heart fully open, the ache in your chest dissipating as you deepened the kiss.
Between kisses, Bodhi breathed, “Stars, I love you” into your ear and when you told him you loved him, too he smiled that wide-mouthed smile of his and brushed his thumb over your lower lip before planting another kiss there.
“Good,” he said. “Because I’m picking you up tomorrow at seven. There’s a new restaurant I think you’d like. It opened just a few weeks ago. I can’t wait to take you.”
You snuggled close to him then, laying your head on his chest, running a hand down his shoulder and over his bicep, slipping your fingers just slightly under his t-shirt sleeve. You were about to say, “It’s a date” when there was a string of clicks and beeps as the door to your apartment slid open. You tensed for a split second before you realized it was just Red, the ball droid the New Republic had issued Bodhi when the dust had finally started to settle. So many of these droids had been issued to those injured in combat, and they were loyal almost to a fault. Red, being who he was, had quickly taken it upon himself to watch out for you, too.
The little droid came in towing a small cart, and in the cart was a canvas tote. Red chirped something that roughly translated to, “It was ready when I got there. I have it now.”
“Bring it here, mate,” Bodhi said. “Let’s see if it fits.”
“I was wondering where the little guy was,” you said. “What’s going on?”
Red disconnected from his cart and brought Bodhi the tote. “This,” Bodhi said, pulling something from the bag, “is something for you to wear tomorrow.”
He unfolded what he was holding to reveal a beautiful leather jacket. It looked locally made—you’d only seen this type of leather since coming to Chandrila. And seeing it up close, you realized it was custom-made.
“A bike jacket,” you said. “This is so…Bodhi you shouldn’t have.”
“Try it on, love. Whether I should have or not, it’s yours. I want you to have this.”
As he helped you put it on you couldn’t believe that a short time earlier you thought all this might be about to end. But in truth, it was a new beginning. The jacket fit like a warm hug.
“Stars, it’s perfect,” Bodhi said. “You look beautiful.”
“Thank you. I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll wear it tomorrow.”
“Of course I will,” you said, trying to think of something to wear with it. This jacket was now probably the nicest thing you had ever worn.
Bodhi cupped your face with one hand while winding his arm around your back, pulling you towards him again. When he pressed a kiss to your forehead, he said, “I finally fixed one of those old speeder bikes Pao and I found. It runs like a dream. But my dream, love? I want you riding it with me.”
“It’s safe?” you asked.
“Passed inspection, all the tags are up to date, it’s registered and ready to go.”
Red beeped in agreement from the kitchen where he was likely checking on his potted plants. The collection had begun to overflow from Bodhi’s place to yours—but they were good for both of you, and you always slipped the droid a few credits when you could to encourage his little hobby.
“Well if Red says so,” you said, “it must be perfect.”
“Nothing’s perfect,” Bodhi said, “but this is pretty close.”
As he leaned in to kiss you, you let yourself savor this moment, your heart beating now with excitement, rather than panic. You knew, with as much certainty that one could, that so many lovely moments with this man were yet to come.
★★★★★★★★
Thank you for reading! Just a little cozy piece to hopefully make you feel seen and loved on Valentine’s Day.
Tagging some folks that I think would enjoy this. I can make a more formal tag list if y’all are interested. And probably a master list?

“Commander Delaqour,” Poe’s voice immediately grabbed her attention, as Y/N entered the room. After being called by her real name so many times that day alone, the alias felt strange, but she quickly understood the meaning of the message. “Could I please talk to you in private?”    “Yeah, sure,” she had her eyebrow raised in question as her Y/E/C eyes glanced at Cassian, who unsurprisingly didn’t look at her, though his stance had gotten even more rigid than before.    Poe took the girl by her arm and led them a bit further, but not completely out of the way. BB-8 had followed his master and to Y/N he looked, if a droid could even look that way, nervous. His head kept rolling back and forth, turning to look at every corner and crevice, like there were eyes embedded in the ship’s walls.    “We have a problem.”    “What? What happened?” she felt her gut twist and that tug in her head almost snapped with how hard it was being pulled, but she willed another mental chain around it.    “So we did send a message, that Yavin4 could be the next potential target, explaining that the Order must be looking over old outposts.”    “I doubt that Mon Mothma didn’t already suspect it. Even without knowing about the traitor she’d definitely be keeping everyone alert and fortifying what she can.”    “Yes, well BB had an idea to tinker with the walkies that were rendered useless and after opening it up we basically pulled it apart. Pulled out all of the screws and every piece and…” Poe fished out a small rectangular metal piece. To the untrained eye it would be nothing but that, but to Y/N, Poe, BB-8 and no doubt the rest of the Rogue One, they all knew it was a transmitter. Not for location, but for sound. It was so thin you could put it between two sheets of paper and it would not make an indent.    “Shit!” she whisper-exclaimed. From her side, she pulled out her own walkie, that had been hanging while she’d talked and had spilled the truth. Poe slid his finger over the seam where he’d found his own.    She crouched down to BB’s level and the droid didn’t even ask what she wanted him to do. He extended a couple of screwdrivers and without a sound opened up the side of the communication device. Giving it back to Poe, he gently peeled back a piece of tape that covered three connected wires and right behind that, something glinted, catching Y/N’s eye.    Her heart dropped. The bug had been implanted in hers too. They knew everything, had heard every little bit of information she’d said. They knew about Naili, that she really was Y/N, they knew about her Force-sensitivity, but most importantly they knew every person aboard the ship had figured out about the Order’s mole and their suspicions that the General had known all along.    Poe pinched one of the ends of the small rectangle as Y/N whispered, “we’re in deep shit…”
“You have to let me off this ship!”    “I am not doing that!”    “Bodhi, you do realise that he is after me, personally!”    “He’s after the whole Resistance. Just because you pissed off the princess of temper tantrums a little bit more than everyone else, does not mean I will let you flee.”    Y/N pulled her hair and groaned. “I’m not fleeing, I’m distracting him!”    Cassian’s gaze lifted to her after he had been ignoring the girl for the past fifteen minutes as the rest of the rebels were arguing about Y/N’s idea. She‘d proposed to them that because Kylo Ren has a personal vendetta against the girl, they drop her off on the nearest planet and continue their way to Yavin4. She was confident that he’d go after her and bring the largest fleet he has with because he just likes to show off. And because he knows how powerful she was.    Poe had immediately threatened to tie Y/N down and put his sock in her mouth if her mind even had a whisper of a thought about going to Kylo Ren. Alone.    “You may be the best commander I know and you may be one of the few friends I’d trust with anything I have, but I am not above gagging and handcuffing you to one of these chairs. What you are proposing is suicidal!”    “What I am proposing may be your only chance of survival.” The stare-off the two friends were having was so intense and intimate, that it made even K-2 look away.    “I-“ Poe cupped the girls face in his palms. The blisters and rough skin scratched her cheeks, but they had become one of the most comforting things in her life. “I can’t lose you. I won’t lose you to that… monster.” He was crying now. “I don’t fully know what is going on and what happened between all of you, but I will not lose my best friend on a suicide mission, not if I have any say in this.”    “Well,” it was hard for Y/N to say the words as she removed his palms, though she didn’t let go, “it isn’t. It’s my decision and I say we go with it. The traitor, traitors, whoever. They already know everything we’ve talked about on this ship, up until right now. It’ll unbalance them, and all their attention will go to Kylo coming after me and I can almost one hundred percent guarantee that the reason we have a spy in the Resistance in the first place is because of me.”    “He knew that in the end, I wouldn’t be able to stand back, that I’d continue to fight for our cause. Especially after our last meeting,” her Y/E/C eyes glanced at Jyn for a split second, but it was so fast none noticed. “They needed to flush me out and they’ve gotten to their goal. But now I’m asking you to disrupt their plan and give yourself time to save everyone else. We have,” the girl looked at her holo, that even in a shut-off state showed her the time, “four hours. Four hours to narrow down the possible suspects of who the mole could be and maybe even feed them false info.”    Now that the girl was looking at her issued pad some cogs started to turn. “They can’t be that recent, yet they haven’t been in the Resistance that long.”    “They have to have access to the technology department, specifically issuing and fixing the communication devices.” This was Baze who talked up. “That is the only way they would’ve been able to implant the bugs in such a specific place of a transmitter device. Back on Yavin, we’re not even allowed to go in the hangar where they do it, in fear of things like these. Maybe a rebel has been compromised, defected to the Order or just simply bugged.”    “Right, yeah, that’s right,” Y/N started to go with what Baze was saying. “The bug could catch on to the frequency as the comms are being set up and transmit it to the First Order.”    “Okay, so let’s narrow this down,” Jyn looked at Y/N and Poe. “Someone who once worked with the techs, who now has access to main controls back on the base, where there is constant supervision. 24/7 might I add. Someone close enough to the General as to not cause suspicion why they would be overseeing your mission or someone close enough to the both of you. If they’re your friends they’d want to know what is happening with you.”    For a second Y/N’s and Poe’s breaths hitched as they both thought of one name- Rose. She was a close friend of theirs, after Crait Leia would have no problem with her being on the command bridge and she knew how to work with tech and she’d be able to implant the trackers, but their mind eased as they remembered that at the time of Poe’s, Y/N’s and BB’s mission, she was on the Millennium Falcon with Rey, Finn, Han and Chewie to go and see Maz Kanata.    But as her heart rate started to return to normal, another name popped up in her head and she went completely stiff.    “Lexi,” she breathed out.    “No,” Poe didn’t want to believe that. “She- she can’t be, she’s your second in command.”    “Exactly! She has access to the bridge, because,” Y/N emphasised the word, “she’s my second in command. But before that, before Lexi became a pilot…” it all started to make perfect sense to Y/N. “One night, we uh, we were fixing up our X-Wings and as a joke, she started to talk with me through the walkies, but mine kept jamming. I told her that I’ll go and give it to tech, but she said she knew how to fix those things. That she once worked for tech as well…”    Y/N kept looking at the ground, the puzzle pieces finally coming together. “She would know where we were, where our ships would land. She would be able to tell the Order about the Blue Squadron’s rescue mission… It’s her, it has to be her…”    Poe was at a loss for words. “I allowed her to lead my squadron. I allowed her to take my spot when I couldn’t… I put the lives of my friends in the hands of an Order sympathiser!” He was veering into hysterics.    “Poe, hey look at me,” Y/N grabbed his unshaven cheeks in her palms, “look at me.” His eyes showed panic and anger, remorse and confusion. “You did what a commander would do you. You gave the authority to someone you thought was qualified when you yourself couldn’t do it, okay? You did not know what a snake she is, no one knew…” though even Y/N had a sneaking suspicion that Leia had.    Any time the General had wanted to talk to Y/N, before a mission or something, Lexi had been hovering nearby. She’d always had the upper hand, but now, they had the advantage. And Y/N be damned if she didn’t use it.
The next hour was spent trying to figure out a plan to flush both Lexi out and away from the base and to also create a distraction for Kylo, allowing the rest of the Resistance to safely relocate.    As many times as Y/N had suggested making them leave her on Crait- the closest system that still housed remnants of a base (ironically enough that it was the planet their last major battle had occurred on and Kylo had not even sensed Y/N’s presence, yet now, it would be  where in Y/N’s mind she’d meet her doom)- the same amount of times Poe had rebuffed her.    “I will not let you go alone, you’re being unreasonable.”    “Poe, we’re running out of time and options. It’s the best plan that we have. We tell Lexi that someone jammed our systems, that they made us drop out of light speed and ask her for help. She should not suspect anything and I’m her commander. Every X-Wing is equipped with another hyperdrive. With what happened with Snap’s ship, I requested Leia to add it to the equipment. Whenever the ship is docked and repaired they get stored in there. And yeah, it would be weird, as the shuttles drive is a different module but we say it doesn’t matter, we can adjust it.”    “In the meantime, you park somewhere further away. Away from the eyes of the Order and just let me do the thing, let me make her confess. I’ll have the walkie with me and you’ll hear everything.”    Bodhi had found a way to connect the transmitter Poe had had with Y/N’s. Their walkie had stayed in the dismantled positions apart from Poe’s. When Y/N had finally relented that the rest stayed on the planet too, for the girl to have an escape route, he insisted on being able to hear everything. So the ex-Imperial pilot and the commander of the Gold Squadron had rewired their transmitters so that Poe could listen in on what they were saying and also record it. So that they could have proof in case anyone doubted their story.    “Okay, fine,” he didn’t sound fine at all, “but at least take BB with you. She’ll get suspicious if there isn’t anyone else around.”    Y/N thought over what Poe had said. She loved the little droid and even thinking about having their friend in the vicinity of a traitor made Y/N want to throw up. And with the stunts he’d pulled by saving Rose and Finn, it could turn into BB saving her, if that was needed (which Y/N knew would never happen as with what she'd planned, yet kept quiet there was no going back for the rebel girl).    “All right, but only BB. No one else. I’m not about to endanger people if there is any way of steering clear from that.”    “With your presence alone you have already increased the risk of certain death by 58%. With this plan, you have made it jump to 89%.” K-2 didn’t even look up as he flipped a switch and dropped them out of hyperspace.    She looked over to Cassian who hadn’t even spoken a word while they were trying to decide on a plan, but his brown eyes held a piercing stare. His jawline was set and hatred burned in them making Y/N’s stomach churn. “That was for the best. And so will this be.”    Surprisingly enough he hadn’t rebuffed anything they’d offered, just stood there by Jyn’s chair, arms crossed and brows furrowed. “He trusts his team, he trusts his decisions, he trusts them to make good calls, because maybe someday he will have to pass off the mantle to either the spunky girl or the quiet pilot, the mountain of a man or the unwaveringly faithful Force-believer.”    But in actuality, the reason Cassian had not spoken a word was because he was forming his own plan to finally face off with Kylo Ren and make him pay for the pain he’d caused the woman he’s madly in love with.

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
It didn’t take much convincing for Alec to agree with you that it would be more beneficial to you to go back to Yavin 4 and continue your life as a soldier. You and Alec accompanied Cassian and K2 on their trip back to Yavin 4 and to say you were nervous was an understatement. You didn’t know how people would react to your return. Would they be excited that you were back? Or would they think you were a coward for being hidden for so long? Would they blame Alec for that? All these questions kept running through your mind and you didn’t even realize that the U-wing had landed until Cassian knelt down in front of you, placing a hand on your knee.
“Are you okay?” He asked softly and you nodded. Cassian had been sweet to you the entire trip; he didn’t really bring up your past with him and instead talked about you and your career as a commander. Although you did find him attractive and ever the gentleman, you felt that it would feel too wrong for you to jump back in a possible relationship with him. You wanted to take things slow and, if the time was right, maybe you could see yourself being with him. Cassian stared at you a little longer, as if waiting for you to suddenly back out, but finally stood up and you followed. You stood next to Alec at the top of the ramp and hesitated as you watched a group of Rebels make their way to you and you began to feel unsettled. Everyone was staring at you with wide eyes, as if they were looking at a ghost and you began to pick at your nails. You jumped as you felt a hand touch your shoulder and you looked up at Alec, who was giving you a concerned look.
“You alright, Y/N? I can have these nerf-herders removed for you if you’d like?” You smiled softly and shook your head,
“No, I’ll be fine. Thank you Alec.” He squeezed your shoulder and followed you as you made your way down the ramp. People around you began to whisper and as you walked, you kept your head down, until you felt someone throw their arms around you and you froze.
“Y/N! Oh my stars, I can’t believe it! You’re actually alive.” The man pulled away from you and you just stared at him in confusion. The stranger that was holding you looked familiar to you but you couldn’t think of his name or where you saw him. He furrowed his brows and brushed his hair through his curly, light brown hair.
“I was beginning to think- Y/N I never should have left you guys behind I- can you forgive me?” The man kept rambling on and you just stood there, not knowing how to respond. Luckily, Alec was there to get his attention,
“Hey Tabian, give me some of that lovin’ man!” The man, who you assumed was Tabian, pulled Alec in for a tight hug and they both began to pat each other hard on the back. Alec pulled away, a big smile plastered on his face, and turned to look at you. When he saw your face, his smile immediately dropped and he coughed awkwardly. Tabian looked back and forth between you and Alec before asking,
“Oookay, what is going on?” Alec sighed and pulled Tabian to the side and whispered everything that happened. While they were talking, you began to look around the base; people were still staring at you and whispering to each other. You started to chew the inside of your cheek, until you saw Cassian and K2, walking up with two other Rebels who looked familiar. A woman with short brown hair that was pinned back and a man who had darker skin and long dark hair both stood in front of you, giving you weak smiles. Cassian smiled at you and nodded towards the other two,
“Y/N, this is Jyn and this is Bodhi. They are two members of my team, but they also got a chance to know you before you left for Scarif.” You smiled towards them,
“Hi Jyn, Bodhi.” Jyn smiled at you and said,
“Hi Y/N, it’s good to see you again,” although they were both smiling at you, you could see a hint of sadness in their eyes. Cassian cleared his throat,
“Well Jyn and Bodhi are going to take you to see Mon Mothma and Princess Leia to talk about you getting back into training, Alec as well. Are you gonna be okay?” You looked at Jyn and Bodhi and then back to Cassian and nodded. Cassian looked at you with sincere eyes and nodded,
“If you need me, they will be able to help you find me,” you smiled and placed a hand on his arm, his body tensing under your touch,
“Thank you, Cassian, for everything.” He pursed his lips and continued to stare into your eyes. You began to feel your heart skip a beat and realized you were lingering too long and pulled your arm away. You waved bye to Cassian and followed Jyn and Bodhi to find Alec and go talk to this Mon Mothma and Princess Leia.
Both Mon Mothma and Princess Leia seemed equally ecstatic to see you and Alec safe. Apparently, you and your team were recognized highly and were seen as one of the bravest. You felt a sense of pride that you had been able to succeed at such an important mission, but at the same time felt upset because you were not able to remember anything and felt like you were a disappointment to the Rebellion. Mon Mothma told you that Cassian informed the Council of what happened to you after the battle on Scarif and reassured you that no one in the Rebellion blamed you for what happened. When Alec asked if you two were able to continue training, both Mon Mothma and Princess Leia agreed that it would only be right to have two of the Rebellion’s best back on a team. However, they also agreed that it would be better for you both to start off as simple soldiers and possibly make your way back up the ranks, which they claimed would not be hard for you to do at all.
After the meeting, Jyn and Bodhi were assigned with taking you and Alec to your new quarters. While making your way to the corridor, everyone that you walked past was looking at you with pity, which you felt extremely annoyed by and even called one person out on it. You didn’t mean to yell at that poor girl and felt even worse that Bodhi and Alec had to keep you from attacking her, but you were sick and tired of everyone treating you like this pathetic humanoid. When you walked up to your room, Jyn informed you that everything would be provided for you in the morning and you thanked both her and Bodhi for being so helpful and hugged them goodbye. Although you couldn’t remember them much, you knew that their kindness towards you was genuine and you hoped that they would be willing to try and becoming friends again in the future.
Alec was assigned right across from you, which you found comforting as one, you would be close to Alec and two, you would also have your own space for once.  Since you didn’t have to start training until tomorrow, you decided that you would stay in your quarters for the remainder of the day and get some well needed sleep. You bid Jyn, Bodhi, and Alec goodbye and made your way into your room. You didn’t bother checking out the room and made your way straight for the bed. As soon as you laid your head on the pillow, you instantly drifted off into a deep slumber.
Your eyes fluttered open and you sat straight up, stretching your arms and yawning in the process. You didn’t know how long you slept and when you checked the provided alarm clock, you realized that it was late at night. You felt well rested and knew that you wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep, so you decided to go for a walk and explore the base instead. You exited your room and realized that you had forgotten your key card and went to stop the door from closing, but were too late. You jiggled the door handle and cursed to yourself when you realized it was locked. You turned to start walking when you ran straight into someone and fell backwards. Before you could fall completely, you felt a pair of hands grab your arms and you looked up to find Cassian with an apologetic look on his face,
“I’m sorry Y/N, I should have said something instead of surprise you like that,” you felt your cheeks start to heat up and you shook your head,
“No, it’s okay. I should have watched where I was going.” You looked down and saw there was a pile of clothes thrown on the ground and Cassian followed your line of sight before bending down and gathering them up. You bent down and began to help him fold the clothes, when you realized they were women’s clothes. As if Cassian read your mind, he began to speak,
“I was, uh, bringing you some clothes. I figured that you didn’t have any and I still had…your clothes, if that’s okay with you.” You smiled at him,
“Thank you, Cassian. I would have hated wearing the same clothes over and over,” you tried to joke, but Cassian kept grabbing the rest of the clothes and you sighed. When all the clothes were gathered, you both stood up and Cassian handed them to you almost immediately. The two of you stood in silence until Cassian cleared his throat,
“Well, uh, I will let you get back to your room,” he said and you winced before quietly saying,
“I would but I sort of, accidently left my keycard in my room and don’t know if anyone else is awake to help me get back in,” Cassian lifted his head up,
“Oh, I can take you to get a new one if you’d like?” You beamed up at him and nodded. He took you to get your new keycard and the two of you talked the entire time. The way you guys were talking and laughing, it was as if you had known each other much longer than you’d remember. It was easy to talk to him and you felt that you could confide in him with anything. Even Alec wasn’t this easy for you to talk to, and you had known him (in both your forgotten and current life) the longest. When you heard him laugh, it was such a beautiful sound that you tried to make it a little mission of yours to try and get him to laugh more before you went your separate ways. You would catch him glance at you every now and then and you would feel your heart race. You knew it was silly of you to feel this way towards someone you had only “known” for a couple of hours, but you couldn’t help yourself. Cassian was the sweetest person you had ever met and you wished that you were able to remember him; that you were able to remember the love that once blossomed between the two of you.
As the two of you walked back through the corridor, you began to feel a little sad as this wonderful moment was soon coming to an end. You stopped in the middle of the hallway and Cassian gave you a puzzled look. You felt a hint of sadness wash over you and you hung your head down,
“I’m sorry that I can’t remember anything about us, Cassian. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for you to have to go through this. I wish that-“
Cassian placed his fingers underneath your chin and gently lifted you to look up at him, his touch making the butterflies flutter around in your stomach,
“You have nothing to be sorry for, Y/N. What happened, it is not your fault and I am sorry that you have to go through this. Seeing all of these people that you used to know and not being able to remember them, it has to be so hard for you. If I could trade places with you, I would in an instant.”
Your heart melted and you curved the corner of your mouth up and thanked him. Although what he said was sweet, you wouldn’t wish what happened to you on anyone. Not being able to remember your friends or your family was awful, but not being able to remember the one person who you could tell loved you with every fiber of his being, your heart ached at this. You knew that he was hurting more than he was letting on; the way he was staring into your eyes gave it away. He didn’t remove his hand from under your chin and the both of you continued to gaze intensely in each other’s eyes. It was so quiet; the sounds of both yours and Cassian’s heartbeats filled the hallway. Cassian finally swallowed,
“Can I kiss you, Y/N?” He whispered. Almost instinctively, you nodded, and Cassian placed both of his hands gently on the sides of your face and closed the distance between the two of you. The kiss started off very soft and if he wasn’t holding onto you, you swore you would have fallen due to your knees becoming weak. You dropped the pile of clothes and threw your arms around his neck. This kiss was nothing like you had experienced before; it was full of passion and as you molded your lips with Cassian’s, it was as if every memory with him flooded back through your body, but not your mind. The kiss became more heated and Cassian moved his hands to your hips and pulled you, if possible, closer.
Although you knew you should have pulled away, your senses had become seduced by Cassian and you began to run your fingers through his wavy hair. Cassian moved his hands down to the back of your thighs and, automatically, you jumped and wrapped your legs around his waist as he pushed your back against the wall. You felt him brush his tongue against your bottom lip and you allowed him to explore your mouth. You felt one of his hands disappear from under your thighs and suddenly heard a door click open and were being guided into a room. Warmth spread throughout your entire body and, after Cassian kicked a door closed, you felt your back land gently on a bed. Your hands began to explore his body until you had a tight grip on his jacket and pulled him closer.
For some reason you did not know, Cassian suddenly pulled from the kiss and stood up from you. Trying to catch your breath, you sat up and glanced at him only to find him brushing a hand through his brown locks and pace the room.
“Are you alright?” You asked, furrowing your brows. He brushed his hand across his face and shook his head,
“I shouldn’t have done that, I’m sorry Y/N.” You stood up quickly and placed a hand on his back,
“You don’t have to be sorry. I wanted it as much as you did, Cassian.” He turned to look at you and you smiled at him, pulling him in for a hug. He placed one hand to the back of your head and the other around our shoulders and you nuzzled into his chest. You turned your head to the side, opening your eyes and were met with a couple of framed pictures that featured you. You pulled away from Cassian and slowly began to make your way to the shelf where the pictures were. There was a picture that had you laughing as you laid across the arms of four grinning guys, two of which were Alec and Tabian, and there were two other guys and two girls sitting on the floor in front of you, who were also smiling. You moved onto the next picture, which showed you, Cassian, and K2 in what looks like the middle of an argument; Cassian was smiling while shaking his head while you and K2 had your fingers pointed at each other, with you glaring at the droid. The last picture had you and Cassian standing in the middle of a beautiful meadow, while you were smiling at the camera, Cassian was too busy staring at you with the most adoring look on his face. You felt a lump in the back of your throat and you could feel Cassian’s gaze on you.
“What was she like?” You asked and you turned around, only to be met with Cassian tilting his head in confusion.
“What do you-“
“I mean, what was I like before the incident? How would you describe your girlfriend to someone else who was asking?” Cassian stayed quiet for a moment, his lips parted until he took a deep breath,
“She was the most selfless person I knew. She had such a big heart and everyone she met, she held a place for them in her heart. She was so loving and casing,” he looked at the picture of you and K2 arguing and laughed, “she even wanted to reprogram an Imperial Droid and present him to me for my birthday because she claimed that ‘All droids had feelings and it would be unfair for someone that was programmed for the wrong side to not have any friends’.
“She was also one of the bravest soldiers I knew. When I heard that she had volunteered to go on that mission to Scarif, I wasn’t surprised at the least. I knew that she was only doing it so that other planets could be spared of what happened to Jedha. I also knew better than to stop her because she was more than capable of completing any mission.” Cassian frowned and you saw tears start to glisten in his eyes as he moved to sit on his bed.
“She was also very careless and very daring. She had plenty of close calls during other missions, but her last one was the closest of all. When I saw her jump off of that tower, despite my protests, I swear I had never been more scared in my life. And when the Tie Fighter went down, it was as if I went down with her. I was so angry, but I was mostly heartbroken because I thought that I would never be able to tell her that I loved her anymore.”
You walked up to Cassian, who was staring at you with a forlorn look, and gently reached your hands to trace his face. You brushed your thumbs along his cheeks and gently stroked your fingers along his jaw and watched as he closed his eyes and sighed in content. Your thumbs made their way down to his lips and you gently began to trace them. It was strange, this feeling you had towards Cassian. Although you couldn’t remember him, your body begged to differ. When he kissed you just moments before, it was as if the world around you stopped and it was just the two of you in that moment and you wanted to remember him, you truly did. It was funny really, your body acted as if it remembers him, every touch, every kiss, but your mind just did not. But you didn’t care. Right now you were with him and you knew it was right, so you decided to follow what your body truly desired: Cassian. You gently lifted Cassian’s face to look up towards you, your fingers still tracing his face, and whispered his name. His eyes fluttered open and you hesitated a bit before asking,
“Can I kiss you?” Cassian looked stunned, not expecting you to ask him, but nodded and you leaned forward slowly and pressed your lips against his. Your eyes shut close and you began to mold your lips against his. The kiss was soft, nothing like the kiss you experienced earlier, but you could feel just how right Cassian’s lips felt against yours. The kiss became more heated and you felt Cassian snake his arms around your waist and pull you onto his lap, your legs straddling on each side. Your hands began to work their way down from his cheeks onto his shoulders, and then down towards his chest where you gripped his shirt tightly. You could feel Cassian’s hands exploring every inch of your body and you sighed into his mouth. Cassian placed his hands on your hips and pulled away, his eyes filled with desire and lips swollen from the kiss,
“Are you sure about this, Y/N? I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this,” You smiled and raised one hand to brush a stray hair out of his face,
“I have never wanted anything more than this, Cassian.” Cassian’s eyes sparkled and he brought a hand to the back of your neck to pull you closer, completely erasing any space that was between the two of you, and kissed you with so much passion. You moaned into the kiss and Cassian placed both hands at the hem of your shirt, but didn’t pull it up just yet. He broke the kiss once more, his eyes asking for permission, and you nodded and watched as Cassian wasted no time in removing your shirt and then your bra, throwing them onto the ground to be lost for now. Without breaking eye contact, you felt his hands begin to trace every inch of your skin, going lower and lower, until he stopped at the scar that was placed on your side.
You began to feel self-conscious about the scar and you knew that Cassian was able to read it on your face. He leaned forward and brushed his lips against yours. His hand that lingered onto your scar made its way to the middle of your back and his other hand snaked underneath you and he gently flipped you over, laying you on your back, and broke the kiss only to remove his jacket and shirt. His eyes scanned your entire body and you went to cover your body, only for Cassian to gently grab your hands and place them each on either side of your head and leaned forward.
“You are so beautiful, Y/N.” He whispered into your ear, sending a shiver down your back. You felt him softly nibble on your ear and then make his way down your neck, sucking gently on a sensitive spot and you moaned in his ear. The sound of your moan was music to his ears, and he continued to make his way back up to place a kiss once more onto your lips before making his way back down. He began to trail down to your chest, his hands finally releasing yours and he gently palmed each of your breasts, squeezing them. You threw your head back as he began to trace his thumb on your nipples and place kisses on the sides of your breasts. He then placed his lips on one breast and began to gently suck on your nipple, releasing it with a pop and then moving on to the other one.
“I’ve missed you so much, Y/N,” you heard him whisper and you hummed in response. Every touch that he placed on you sent tingles throughout your entire body and you felt yourself craving more. Cassian began to trail down your stomach, his hands gripping your hips that you were sure bruises would be there the next morning. He stopped at your pants and you lifted your head to look at him, his eyes filled with lust and desire, and he began to unbutton your pants and pull them down, along with your soaked panties. He knelt at the edge of the bed and began to softly trace the inside of your thighs, following the touches with soft kisses.
“So beautiful,” you heard him whisper against your thigh and you felt your stomach begin to tighten and you swore you could come undone just by him kissing your thighs. He placed his arms underneath your knees and pulled you closer to him. He began to place kisses up your thighs once more, getting closer and closer to the one place you were aching to be touched, and he finally placed his lips upon your clit and you threw your head back once more, a moan escaping your lips. His tongue began to lap up your juices and you were in absolute bliss as you reached your hands to tangle them in his hair.
“Cass, please,” you moaned and he continued sucking and kissing your clit and you were so close to becoming undone. He slipped one finger inside of you and your hips automatically bucked against his mouth and you felt him moan against you, the vibrations sending tingles throughout your body. You arched your back as he inserted one more finger and began to slowly pump in and out of you, his fingers curving in a come hither motion as he continued to suck onto your bundle of nerves. You began to feel your stomach tighten and you knew that you were soon done for.
“Oh, Cass,” you moaned loudly, “I’m so close.” He hummed and after a couple of agonizing seconds, you felt your release and began to see stars. Your back arched even more and you continued to buck your hips against his mouth as he helped you come down from your high, his name moaning from your lips over and over again until the high was done. You felt him slowly pull his fingers out of you and make his way back up to you, his lips glistening and red, as he laid kisses up your body until he got up to your lips and stared into your eyes. He placed his hand underneath your jaw and brushed your cheek with his thumb; his eyes filled with so much love for you, and leaned in to place a soft kiss on your lips. You placed your hand atop his and kissed him back with a neediness you didn’t know you had. You had never felt like this toward someone before and it felt just right; kissing him and being touched by him, you didn’t want anything more than to feel his lips over every inch of your body.
You began to trail your hand down his arm, all the way to the bulge in his pants and he moaned into your mouth. You pulled away from the kiss and he lazily opened his eyes,
“Do you want me to…” You nodded towards his member and he shook his head, placing a kiss on your nose.
“No,” he brushed his thumb on your cheek once more, “this is all about you, my love.” You could feel the heat begin to rush to your cheeks and you buried your head into his chest. You knew that he probably let that name slip accidently and figured he had been fighting the urge to call you that from the moment you reunited, but you didn’t care. The name sent butterflies to your stomach and you just knew that everything he was doing and saying, he truly meant it. He placed a kiss to your temple and whispered into your ear,
“Are you sure you want to continue, Y/N?” He asked once more and you pulled away to look him into the eyes and nodded,
“Yes, Cassian,” he sighed in relief, “please make love to me.” He smiled and leaned forward to kiss you passionately. You felt him trace his tongue on your bottom lip, you opened your mouth to grant him access and you could feel his tongue begin to explore the inside of your mouth, his tongue fighting for dominance against yours. You reached your other hand towards his pants and began to unbutton them, which Cassian responded with a moan into your mouth. He pulled away and stood up to pull his pants and boxers off. You watched his hardened member sit against his stomach and you began to feel the tightness in your stomach once more.
He began to brush his fingers so gingerly up your skin, following those touches with soft kisses. He made his way up your stomach to your chest, stopping briefly to place light kisses on your nipples, his breath blowing gently on them, making a soft moan escape from your lips. He continued up to your neck and sucked gently on the same spot that drove you crazy just moments ago until he finally made it back up to your lips. He hovered over you; his arms bracing himself against the sides of your head, and began to position himself in between your legs, the tip of his member teasing at your entrance. He looked at you once more, his eyes searching for the slightest bit of hesitation from you and you pushed your lips against his, ensuring him that it was okay to continue, and he did just that. He slowly pushed inside of you and you moaned in ecstasy, throwing your head into the crook of his shoulder. He didn’t move for a few seconds, allowing you to adjust to his size, until you began to move your hips against his,
“Please, Cass,” you moaned into his mouth and slowly he began to move out of you, and then back in. The slowness of the pace began to drive you crazy and you were racked with a feverish eagerness that you began to tilt your hips and tried to quicken the pace. Cassian took notice of this and placed his hands on your hips, holding them down as he slowly pumped into you, and began to attack your neck with kisses.
“I want this moment to last, Y/N,” he said and in between each word, he placed a kiss up and down your neck, “It’s like making love to you for the first time again- oh!” His moan traveled up to your ear and you whimpered softly in reply. Your hands began to work their way around his body, feeling along each line of his physique and your nails dug their way into his back as you felt the familiar tightness in your stomach again as he continued to pump into you. You tightened your legs around him and arched your back, closing any space that was left between the two of you. Cassian placed his arms underneath your back and lifted you up so you were on his lap again.
He held you tightly against him as he pushed in and out of you, and your body shook with pleasure. You began to move your hips up and down and he began to kiss your lips. He ran his tongue over your lips and made his way back down to your neck until his face was between your breasts. He removed one hand from your back and began to knead one of your breasts, kissing it as you moaned his name,
“Cass, oh Cass, please.” He placed one last kiss onto your breast and looked back into your eyes and asked breathily,
“F-faster?” You nodded and he began to thrust his hips faster into you and you cried out. You were a complete mess and you placed your head into the arch of his neck, sucking on the same spot on his that had given you so much pleasure. He moaned and used his hand to push your head back, looking into your eyes as he continued to pound into you,
“I want to watch you come for me, my love,” and you nodded in reply. You knew you were close, but you needed just the right amount of friction to come undone. As if Cassian sensed this, he removed his hand from the back of your neck and placed it in between your two bodies and began to massage your clit. Your moans became louder and you continued to move your hips faster and faster and you began to feel the knot inside of you tighten.
“Oh Cass, I’m close-ah!” After one, two, three more pumps, the knot finally snapped and you became a moaning mess, closing your eyes and placing your forehead against Cassian’s. You knew that Cassian was close as his hips began to stutter and he pushed into you one last time, exhaling your name as his seed spilled inside of you.
The both of you stayed still for a moment, the sounds of heavy breathing surrounded the room and you finally opened your eyes and pushed your head back. Cassian leaned forward to place a light kiss on your neck and then looked back into your eyes. His hair was a tousled mess and you caressed his cheek with your hand. He leaned into your touch and sighed contently and in that moment, you knew that you truly belonged to Cassian. The way your name rolled off of his tongue when he was moaning in pleasure sounded so right and even though you didn’t remember him, your body did and you knew you wanted to be with him again.
“You called me Cass,” he said, pulling you from your thoughts and you hummed in question.
“Cass, it’s what you used to call me before…” you furrowed your brows and then your eyes widened as you realized he had never once told you to call him Cass. You felt your eyes start to sting from the tears forming and you buried your face in the crook of his shoulder and held on tightly. You began sobbing and Cassian began to rub your back, shushing you to try and calm you down, and pulled you to lie next to him. As you continued to cry in Cassian’s arms, he whispered sweet nothings in your ear, telling you that it was okay and that he was never letting you go. You tried to match your breathing with his as you held onto him like he was your lifeline. The sound of his heart beating was soothing and before yiu knew it, you began to relax and slowly felt yourself drift to sleep as Cassian continued to whisper into your ear, his fingers trailing softly on your back. Before your world could turn black, Cassian whispered one last thing into your ear,
“I love you, Y/N.” He kissed the top of your head and you smiled before drifting off to a peaceful sleep,
“I love you too, Cass.”

Could I please request Bodhi reacting to fem!rc, who is normally neatly dressed and tidy and soft spoken, chest deep in an Xwing or other space ship engine? Messy hair, jacket off, maybe a grease smear across her face and hollering back and forth with the pilot of the ship but with a wide smile on her face? Sfw or Nsfw I don't care. I just want to see more Bodhi stuff. ^_^
Hey there thanks so much for this ask! I had a blast writing it. It’s pretty long since it took on a mind of it’s own. I adore Bodhi and I kinda wanted to showcase the fact that the rebel Alliance was becoming a family and home for him. This is more of a snippet in the life of both the reader and Bodhi who have yet to define their relationship.
PS: I took on a different approach to Bodhi’s shyness. In the movie he has a lot of nervous energy rather than outright shy tendencies so I focused in on that. :3
It was a wonder that the X-wing made it back at all. Not many pilots came back from head on collisions with the rough terrain of that day of the week’s battle setting. By this point (Y/N) had seen it all; from paint jobs withered away by meteors to ships half filled with water it’s pilot miraculously sitting amongst the sea life. But some crashes drove home just how much was at risk; that the job of an X-wing fighter went beyond the amazing feats and the stuff of legends. Some cost lives some simply spoke of dumb luck.
The well position shot that brought the ship down scorched through via the nose of the plane, showcasing the intricate wiring below that had formed an almost perfect halo running along the length. Embedding in the cockpit somewhere just above where Hobbie’s head rested, was just that, dumb luck that took down the plane but spared the pilot.
And here Hobbie stood, arm in a sling ready to get back into the piece of what could only be called scrap metal at this point, tear off his cast and fight the good fight. Thankfully for his health and the sanity of Vrogas Vas, who reckless in his own right, played the role of the concerned squad leader well, the x-wing was not going anywhere anytime soon. Effectively grounding the hot shot pilot and all but, condemning his X-wing to be broken down into scrap metal. It’d serve it’s purpose for the rebellion either in battle or as a way to get the money to fuel the ins and outs no one but those inside the base thought about.
To Hobbie the X-wing was like an extension of himself and while Poe could sympathize in some ways, he knew when to let go. Having totalled two crafts before the one he now rode with well practiced ease.
“Hobbie…”
“No no, (Y/N), look before you say anything hear me out. She’s given me a good run and saved me life. I’m repaying the favor. I’ve tried asks the other mechanics around but now one will touch it or even go near me at this point!” His frustration was imminent by the ruddy color that had settled on his high cheekbones causing the blue of his eyes to become more prominent. The same blue eyes he tried batting the way of another mechanic just days before. All it took was one look at (Y/N)’s softening demeanor to see that he struck a chord; Hobbie let out a breath he didn’t know he was hold, thankful for the fact that he didn’t have to charm the straight laced mechanic. He knew better than to try that with (Y/N) who was plainly head over heels over one of the bases resident heroes, Bodhi Rook.
Quickly, the Jedha pilot, who played a major role in the battle of Scariff, became the talk of the base. Unlike Cassian he did not hold the same prickly demeanor that urged people to not waste his time. It was to the point that the shy pilot couldn’t go anywhere without being stopped. Words often taken out of context, whispered amongst the base inhabitants. His role in it all blown of proportion until he was soon looked at like one of the war heroes the empire had warned him against. How things had changed in the past 6 months for him. Going from a cargo pilot who was simply another cog in the machine to one of the most wanted men in the galaxy along side names like Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor.
It was for these reasons that he felt so at ease around (Y/N). Treating him as any of the new recruits she’d often helped with navigating the maze like hanger of Yavin. When days were especially hot and the asphalt of the semi exposed hanger seemed to bake the pilots alive, Bodhi, would often spot her resting against one of the gargantuan walls of the pyramid like structure; peering out into the expanses of green that peaked through the fog. Despite the heat (Y/N) always dressed up to code in her regulation jumpsuit, hair neatly tied back from her eyes, small smile reserved for him as she called him to join her. This is where he’d spend what few moments he could spare. Soon Y/N didn’t have to ask instead he simply gravitated towards the mechanic who magically seemed to avoid the grease and rust stains that colored all others in her division. The months blended into a tempestuous routine of Battles, missions and quiet afternoons joking around with one of the sharpest mechanics in the rebel alliance.
Today was one of those odd days spent in his psydo-home. The endless green now as familiar to him as the inside of the craft his piloted. Back from a three week mission on the other side of the Galaxy his body screamed at him to rest but his mind had other ideas. Deep brown eyes darted around from face to face. The mix of tan and garishly bright orange jump suits blurring together as he ran around. All eager to get back to their dorms after a long day of fixing the unfixable and doing the impossible. Not paying attention to where he was going Bodhi accidently rammed into an unsuspecting person. A sharp intake of breath was broken by the deep chuckle that rumbled from under civilian clothing of the grounded pilot. “Hey Bod! Welcome back, what’s the hurry?”
“Sorry Hobbie! Didn’t see you there..” Bodhi rattled off; talking a mile per minute as always. “How’s the arm” He added in; wincing as he looked Hobbie over. He looked no worse for wear, certainly less delirious since he last saw him. He could clearly picture Hobbie than, high on adrenaline, it took several of them to hold him down. All but tackling him as he continued on his tirade about the hell he’d bring to the empire after what they did to his X-wing. He was strong for a little guy..
“Oh good as new” The wry smile Hobbie offered did not seem to match his statement. But nothing could curve the joy that came from finally getting his way. (Y/N) had said yes after all. A reluctant yes, but a yes nonetheless.
Bodhi smiled at that. Playfully slapping Hobbie on his tender shoulder light enough not to truly hurt but hard enough to cause him to swallow his pride and wince. “Fuck’in hell..”
“Oh yeah definitely up for the turbulent flights. Being knocked around in the cockpit.” He joked good naturedly, shyly brushed stray strands of inky black hair out of his eyes. A nervous habit that still persisted despite being around friends. Hobbie was at least above hero worship, set on making a name for himself rather than hanging off the arm of someone else. “Hey I will be as soon as my ships good as new.”
Bodhi’s eyes widened comically taking in the smug smile across Hobbie’s face. No one in their right mind would have touched the scorched scrap metal. “(Y/N) will have it fixed in no time. Yeah she gave me some grief about it, stating that it’s take the better part of the next ten years to fix it or that I had a better chance of getting K2 to like me but I’m optimistic”
“She can fix anything that’ll run.” He said confidently, fully aware of the stubborn nature of the object of his affection. “ I just don’t know if she won’t kill you before it’s done”.
Three hours had passed since Hobbie had all but pulled at (Y/N)’s heart strings. “Stupid Hobbie and his stupid love for this stupid piece of junk. I should just melt it down myself not that it sell for much is there anything that still works?!” She muttered in between grunts as she unscrewed a bolt. Her words held little bite, more annoyance at the current task at this point to warrant any real threat. The melted metal of what was meant to be heat resistant giving her a good arm workout amidst the sharp edges and bare wire inside. Everyone in her little corner of the workspace had left long ago; going with nightfall. Now all that kept her company was the stickly breeze that would come in every now and then to lick at her bare arms every time she came up from the bowels of the beast of the ship to take a breath. The long sleeved jumpsuit long ago unzipped tied haphazardly around her waist, showcasing the tight fitted once white, now horribly stained grey tank top she wore underneath.
Torso deep, grease had made it’s way up her forearms giving off the illusion of sporting odd mismatched, slick, stripes and patches along feverish skin. Her hair fanned around around her, like a halo; having come undone as sharp corners and randomly placed bolts within the machinery snagged the plaits in her hair. Brand new nails held in between her teeth. The R2 droid assigned to help her letting out concerned beeps every now and then. Met only by a unbeat indiscernible tune as a response.
By the time Bodhi had gotten away from Hobbie and just about every other person who wanted an update on his latest mission (Y/N) was tugging on a twist sheet of metal with all her might. Feet planted firmly apart before the metal groaned and bent back into shape with a loud clank. Glistening from the light sheen of sweat that build up on her tired form he marveled as she watched her laugh triumphantly. Fists pumping in the air as turned to the droid. “Ha! Hell yeah I told you I could move it!” The encouraging chirps were halted by the sound of Bodhi’s approaching footsteps. They seemed painfully loud in quiet of the night. “Bodhi!” (Y/N) said breathlessly, deft fingers quickly moving to tan jumpsuit as she wiped her hands with practiced ease on the course material.
“Welcome home”.
He swallowed hard. It seems that whenever he was around her he either seemed to find it infinitely hard to find words or to stop the trainwreck of sentences that sped through his mouth. It seemed that today his mind favored quiet as he drank in the odd sight. Gone was the picturesque look of the feisty mechanic, in it’s place was one he had never seen before. Her love for what she did truly showed she had never seemed more beautiful than she did now in her natural habitat. Relaxed with an open smile, grease smeared on the bride of her nose though, he doubted she had noticed.
“You did quick work. It’s looking less like a hopeless case now”. He offered at last finding his words. It earned him a breathy laugh. The air seemed to grow more humid or was it simply the heat of the blush that was spreading through his body that caused the wind to provide little relief. “Hey I’ll have you know that this is now slightly functioning scrap metal rather than a neat pile of junk”. He smiled at that, both at ease and on edge by her very presence. Naturally the two seemed to draw closer. Gently he brushed away stickly locks from her forehead, returning them to the wild mass that still vaguely resembled a braid.
Her smile softened, leaning into the slight touch. Unspoken attraction and feelings buzzed around the two like the odd lightning bugs that (y/n) had seen some of the new recruits capture in jars. Her words from earlier had just struck him. This was home. From the quirky x-wing pilots that both livened the place and went to places that no doubt haunted them to the brilliant mechanics that kept everything running. Happy to simply do what they do; not calling for any more thanks than what was given always. Always ready to tackle the next job without complaint and here he was somewhere in between hero and average pilot. A part of something bigger than himself, a cause that didn’t strip away who he was but rather welcomed it.
The kiss came abruptly, no words were shared, no fairytale moment just a simple gesture between two people who didn’t need any words to convey what they felt. Her lips were warm against his own tasting vaguely of lip balm she’d often apply and heat. Undemanding almost lazy in their languid exploration of his lips; natural. He returned it with a bit more vigor. Nervous energy focused in on a single task; memorizing the shape as he might memorize star maps.
The loud crash and unceremonious beeps of the fallen over R2 brought them back to where they were. He was the first to break the kiss breathless eyes that he hadn’t even registered close opened. (Y/N) stood there with a giddy smile. The same he had seen moments ago. Her lips twitched before she let out a snort followed by a breathy laugh. If anything the R2 unit complained even more. Bodhi soon found himself laughing at the expense of the poor little bot. “I don’t think it’ll want to help you after this.”
“You good with a wrench Rook?” (Y/N) said as she jutted out her hips, balancing her weight on her left side. “Well more like holding a flashlight if we’re going by what he was doing”. Warm eyes darted to the droid that had somehow righted itself.
“Depending on how well you do, you might just get a reward”
“Oh yeah are you kidding me? I’m the best flashlight holder in the base” he stuttered out. No doubt his face was as red as the streaks that ran along the x-wing. But he could honestly care less. What he had (Y/N) was not defined but he had all the time in the world to figure that out.
“If that’s the case neither one of us will be getting any sleep tonight.”
Sorry I didn’t get to the NSFW stuff. This would have been waay longer if I had. This was already well over 2000 words. I’m always happy to write more of this! tho ;)

Almost nothing managed to get under Bodhi's skin. Just like his cousin Xaden, he could pull up a cold wall and no one would manage to get a single look at what was going inside. He was able to shut off his visible emotions. Leave all the problem-solving and brooding over something when he was alone or at least among the people he trusted but this mess that unfolded after the Parapet... God damn... At this point, Bodhi didn't even know who he was blaming and who was he mad at.
All he remembered was how he instantly reached for you the moment that flames erupted. He wasn't even thinking about it. His brain worked on its own. And in sight of danger, the only thing that mattered to Bodhi was that you were safe. Even if it wasn't what a good rider should have thought of first. He had pulled you both on the ground. His larger frame practically covered all of your body. And that all would have been fine. Everyone would have presumed that he as a section leader was protecting one of the cadets in his wing. If only...
The moment the heat died down and Tairn had chased Solas away, Bodhi had pulled away ever so slightly, his palm instantly cupping your face as he looked you over. The way your eyes seemed slightly glassy. And that's when the panic set in and all of his instincts kicked in. "Hey, look at me", he tapped your cheek as he pulled away, "Love, can you hear me?". You blinked up at him feeling your head throbbing from the impact. You were sure it was nothing you just had to let it pass. Lay low for a few minutes.
Bodhi had carefully brushed the hair away from your face, panic slowly settling in. You caught his hand pulling it away. There was no room for little touches like that. Not here. You shook your head slowly, "People", you muttered and Bodhi's eyes instantly snapped up. Verish and other wing leaders had their eyes set on him. And even if they hadn't, they've seen it. Don't think too much of it, Cuir, Bodhi's dragon, had mused but he knew better. Should have known better.
Nor was he surprised when he got pulled for an urgent conversation. Nor when he was assigned to the flame section. He saw it coming. They were going to do everything to separate you two. Weed out the threats of whatever that was starting to form between you two. Bodhi missed Xaden often but now even more so. In situations like this, he realized just how much having his cousin around meant. Was he pissed to find out that you were made the section leader of the tail section now? Yes. Sure, it was a higher rang and you deserved it but something deep within Bodhi screamed that it was done on purpose so you two would have even less time together.
And it slowly was driving Bodhi insane because the whole day after the incident he didn't get to see you. Nor did he know anything about your health. Did anyone even take you to the healer? Did you have a concussion? He had shoved his stuff angrily into the bag, so he could change rooms. It was almost unbearable considering that most of your stuff was already there. You two had quietly settled in. Your smell was all over his stuff. It felt safe. It felt like home. His haven. But more than most Bodhi hated the thought that all of this might put you in some kind of danger. Varrish was already all up on Violet what if that wasn't enough? What if he will want to have another play toy? That could very well be you.
"Sulking much?", your voice made Bodhi flinch. He had slipped out to stroll through the fields after an excessively long conversation with his new wing leader. "No", he muttered back, already hating the way his tone sounded. "Right, Ceir said just that", you rolled your eyes as you moved to sit down next to him. Both of your dragons were on rather friendly terms meaning that even if you two couldn't talk directly to them, they still were willing to help you find one another or warn one another when needed.
You leaned against your boyfriend's shoulder, letting your chin rest there. His stiff demeanor softened but you could sense the distress lingering. "How's your head?", Bodhi murmured, turning to kiss the side of it. "It's okay, just a little whiplash. I feel perfectly fine now", you reassured him. Hoping that it would ease his nerves but to no success. "What is it Bodhi?", you breathed slowly pulling away so you could see it better.
"What do you mean what is it?", he huffed, throwing the bits of grass he's been plucking from the ground across the field as he stood up. "I'm not hurt, all the people we care about are fine too", you stated. "They fucking pulled us apart because they know", Bodhi hissed through gritted teeth. "They would have changed your position regardless of what happened out there, Bo", you tried to reason with him. The loss was too big, they were lacking options when it came to repositioning.
"They know, that's the problem. Did you see the way Varrish was looking at us?", Bodhi tried to stay as quiet as he could but his angry gestures spoke loud and clear. "So what? We're breaking up now?", you said, crossing your arms over your chest. Bodhi instantly frowned as he moved closer to you, "Of course, we're fucking not". You let him wrap his arms around your lower body as you held onto his toned arms, "Then don't stress over it. We've got this", you cupped his face softly, "You can handle yourself so can I". You reassured him, leaning in to kiss the side of his jaw. "I just hate the thought you haven't to go through extra shit just because you're with me", Bodhi hissed through gritted teeth. "Watch me do it with my head held high", you smirked at him, "I'm not giving up on us", you whispered. Bodhi let out a sigh. His grip on you tightened as he rested his forehead against yours. "I'll never give up on us", he breathed. You smiled up at him, pushing up to kiss his slowly. Missing the feeling of him against your lips after such a long day. The warmth. The smell of him. "You know now that I think about if...", he breathed, "We're a dang hot couple. Both section leaders", Bodhi mussed. You let out a chuckle as you shook your head, "And it had only taken a couple of minutes for your ego to grow twice the size". Bodhi let out an awful fake hurt hiss as he wrapped you up in his arms pulling you even closer into his embrace, "With a girlfriend like you, what do you expect?", he purred against your ear.
