It’s been a while, but last year I was fired from the company I was working for after reporting them to the state. Obviously they found a bs reason to let me go and I decided to give up EMS. Well at least I did until a few weeks ago. After trying my hand working in a few different fields I have come back to working for another company that had previously fired me. It’s honestly weird being back and totally odd that the people that I trained are “training” me. So far it seems like nothing has changed with the company, in fact it seems like things have only gotten worse. I keep telling myself that I’ll only be back for a few months while waiting to get hired by a county department, but that’s why everyone says. So here’s to another job in private EMS, and let’s hope that I don’t get stuck in the rut.

Worked over a week straight last week in anticipation to going away. I dealt with breaking down multiple times, being held over every shift, dealing with shitty pts, getting banned from a facility (long story), and being yelled at by a new boss for some bullshit and then when I complained to my boss about it I was told to find a new job, So that’s exactly what I did. Honestly ive dealt with all of this stuff before (except getting banned from a facility, that’s new) but I’ve simply had enough with the company that I’m at. And so continues the cycle of the private EMS employee. From one company to another chasing money and dealing with the same bullshit. The only thing that ever changes is the name on the ambulance. Obviously this isn’t special but I felt the need to vent this stuff.
