Had to stop buying books because sharing an 8x8 room with your older sibling is too small. Family is working on an add-on so hopefully I’ll get my own room sometime next year. So I’m starting my book list in the mean time.

I said in my post that I give shout-outs as a thank you to people who get me books for my wishlist and rest assured i only shout-out usernames if you choose to send a note too. I would never post actual names of anyone unless you give me explicit permission and would like me to.

Horror and Thriller and Subsequent Works by Women Authors Wishlist

First Author, Julia Armfield, has Best British Short Stories for both 2019 and 2021. Her short story collection, Salt Slow, and her full length novel, Our Wives Under The Sea are in my wishlist. I'm in love with the sea and what lies beneath it, so this is a must read for me.

Second Author, Catriona Ward, won Ladies of Horror Fiction Award for Last House on Needless Street. I'm interested in Looking Glass Sound for the eerie seaside town setting.

Third Author, Carmen Maria Machado, who won both the Lambda Literary Award for Lesbian Fiction and the Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ Nonfiction. I'm interested in the short story collection, Her Body and Other Parties. And I've seen some great reviews for her Memoir, In The Dream House.

I'd be happy to read these authors this year.
