The books written by Japanese authors that I own. 1- Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami. 2- Kafka on the shore by Haruki Murakami 3- 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami . I usually read Japanese/Korean fiction online or borrow them from the library. I'd love to buy more of the books I love! Also despite I have mixed feelings towards Murakami and yet I want to read and own all his works! . . . . . . . #books #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookblogger #bookssansborders #japanesebookstagram #booklover #booksintranslation #womanbookstagrammer #bookshelf #bookflatlays #bookphotography #bookreview #read #reading #readersofinstagram #readingtime #novel #bookaddict #bookaesthetics #bookaholic #darkacademia #murakami https://www.instagram.com/p/CNWsjaprnuY/?igshid=nzoubws4uwew

6 women authors I loved and so would you 馃尰鉂わ笍 1- Arundhati Roy The author of many works of fiction, non-fiction and essays, Her prose, world building, character analysis are all exceptional. She has written two works of fiction: The ministry of Utmost happiness and The God of small things which won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1996. My personal favourite among these two is The Ministry of Utmost Happiness. Her recent work of non-fiction, Azadi is a collection of essays. She writes about caste system, fascism, capitalism, world politics and politics of South Asia and many more issues. 2- Mieko Kawakami I have only read her novel Breasts and Eggs which was a wonderfully written debut novel dealing with themes of womanhood, patriarchy in contemporary Asian societies and societal pressure and conformity issues. 3- Hanya Yanagihara She has written two novels and I have read A little life only. The books was a roller coaster and a detailed review on it is coming soon! 4- Sylvia Plath Her novel A bell jar was an all time favourite of mine. Very insightful and very carefully written. The writing felt very personal and raw. I loved the novel and will love to read her poetry soon. 5- Margret Atwood She has written many novels and an anthology of poems titled Dearly. I have read her novels The Handmaids Tale which has a show on it too, I'm not sure on which platform and The Testaments. Both novels are Dystopian novels written around women. Both novels deal with women identity, role in a society as perceived by a conservative society and dictatorship (esp of men and how it's just stupid of them to think they can do so successfully) 6- Yaa Gyasi I am reading Transcendent Kingdom by her and will love to read Homegoing soon! So far her writing is very simple ( a quality which I love) very raw and personal. . Have you read any of these authors and what were your favourites? . . . . . . . #books #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booklover #bookaddict #bookaesthetic #bookaholic #bookssansborders #booksbooksbooks #bookshelf #booksofinstagram #bookphotography #bookpile #darkacademia #lightacademia #read #readersofinstagram #readingtime #reading https://www.instagram.com/p/CM-Dij4rC-3/?igshid=70dy6be8lr88

Bookcase type of thing set up. I am more than 170 pages in A little life by Hanya Yanagihara and about 70 pages in South of the border West of the sun by murakami. I am anticipating a huge wave of sadness is about to hit me I am judging that from Hanya Yanagiharas writing and for Murakami a sudden plot twist occurred that is very interesting.
