First time in a yurt and traveling solo. I had such an amazing experience! My intention for this trip was to decompress, unwind, enjoy the journey, and recenter myself. 🛖 This space, along with Borrego Springs, was very grounding. I definitely needed this little getaway.

I thought 2022 was going to be my year, especially because of my life path 22. It turned out to be an incredibly challenging, rough, and traumatic year, full of harsh lessons that almost broke me. I know hardship makes you stronger, but damn, it doesn’t have to send you into a hell where you doubt you’ll ever escape from. But I’m grateful to my consistent resilience in the face of painful suffering.

So Happy New Year to everyone, and may 2023 bring health, wealth, abundance, love, and happiness to us all. We freaking deserve it! 🎆✨🎊🍾🙌

This field of them north of #BorregoSprings is massive & has a number of other annuals blooming & sprouting as well. I’ve read in flower reports that these are not cold hardy so catch them before a hard frost destroys the flowers! Indianhead peak is one of the most challenging hikes I've ever done. Although this mountain was definitely not for the faint of heart, the view from the summit was absolutely breathtaking. Would I recommend it? Join me for an epic overland adventure to Coyote Creek in the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, in eastern San Diego county, Southern California.  This is one of the most pristine and beautiful desert wilderness areas I have ever seen, and is only accessible beyond the first few miles by high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicles.  The northernmost area of Borrego Springs is the entry point to Coyote Canyon for vehicle traffic, and the winter wildflowers are starting to bloom over the open fields.
