Buck has never been jealous before because he thinks he has no place and right to be jealous about Eddie.

Of course he’s been uncomfortable with Eddie’s relationships before, any person who has expressed to be close with Eddie. Of course, he felt it with Ana, with Marisol, even Lena Bosko (and if he was being honest maybe he felt the most uncomfortable with Lena, because Lena wasn’t a partner outside of their space—she was there inside their home. She sat in the same bench press, she ate the food Cap made and shared it with Eddie, she bumped her knees with Eddie in that corner in the fire engine Buck thought would just be theirs, she exchanged war stories with him. She was his partner for a time, in the way Buck was Eddie’s partner), but the difference was they were all women.

And don’t get Buck wrong—he’s not lumping women together to just generalise and categorise them all in the same way. Women are all unique and strong and Buck loves women. He does. And that’s not the point, but the point is—even Lena couldn’t really occupy the space he thought he made in Eddie’s life because they were women. Nobody can know Eddie the way he does, in their self made relationship that rarely made sense to anybody else. Nobody can share that part of Eddie’s life other than him. Nobody can take care and relate and talk to Chris the way he does.

In Buck’s head, no man can ever be close to Eddie this way. And women, well, he has learned to live with it. After all, Eddie was married when he met him. He knows Eddie with women. He understands it. He accepts it. He knows someday, Eddie will settle down with an amazing woman and it will be hard at first, but Buck will be happy for him. He will accept it, he will learn how to live with it because that’s just how life is supposed to be.

And he was prepared, he’s been preparing.

So, sure, he’s been uncomfortable. Sue him, he has abandonment issues and a thousand other things wrong with his self esteem, so of course he’s going to be slightly uncomfortable with any new relationship Eddie forms.

But nothing prepared him for the gnawing that happens at his chest for the image of Eddie and Tommy Kinard.

Women, he was prepared. He knew, even platonically, he can never truly offer what they can to Eddie. He’ll never be able to fill that space, that role, that was never his to take.

But this? This is Buck’s space, this is his territory, this is his home.

And Eddie is smiling and touching him, letting his eyes flit over that man in such a fond earnest way that Buck thought it’d take him years to give. But here he was giving it to Tommy.

This; Buck can’t comprehend. This; Buck can’t understand. This; is eating him from the inside out. He can’t even bring himself to say anything afraid that anything that’ll come out of his mouth would reveal just how truly ugly and selfish and rotten his feelings are.

Tommy can come in Eddie’s life and fill the Buck shaped whole he has made sure to be there for the rest of their lives. Tommy can be Eddie’s best friend. He can easily imagine Tommy slotting in Eddie’s life, in Christopher’s too. He can imagine him there in the kitchen, beer in his hand and talking to Eddie about their days. He can picture him in the Diaz’s living room sleeping in Buck’s couch after ten rounds of video games. He can see him making Christopher laugh and taking him to the zoo and baking cupcakes with him.

Hell, he can even see Tommy and Eddie arrive at the Grant-Nash residence, shoulder to shoulder and laughing and talking and people would just accept it.

Because Buck has already taken that spot and people won’t notice that the person Eddie’s with now has a new face, has a brighter laugh, probably easier to be with, too.

Because fact is, Buck is replaceable. He is forgettable. Eddie once told him he thought he was expendable, and Eddie was right, but he was wrong about Buck being wrong.

Buck knows it.

Buck feels it already happening.

He’ll just be another person that went through Eddie’s life and Eddie will forget about him, about everything they’ve been through and he won’t pay him any thought after he leaves.

But Eddie?

Eddie will be with Buck wherever he goes after. Eddie will be there in the corner of his loft holding a beer that’s never going to be finished. Eddie will be there on his couch waiting for him. Eddie will be there in the passenger seat laughing as Buck zooms through traffic, but tells him to be safe once he gets off. Eddie will be there in every corner and every memory and every reason why Buck has become who he is the past few years.

Buck will never forget him.

But Eddie? Eddie’s already slowly forgetting him.

Eddie’s replacing his spot, and soon after, he won’t even remember that once, Buck was here.

And that Buck loved him, and Christopher, and the life they have made so much. And Buck will just fade, and fade and fade.

Bosko was the first recurring character in Leon Schlesinger's cartoon series and was the star of thirty-nine Looney Tunes shorts released by Warner Bros. Bosko would appear in a total of 46 cartoons during the golden age of animation with the final appearance in the cartoon My Green Fedora in 1935. He was the first major break out star of Looney Tunes. Bosko became the star vehicle for the studio's new Looney Tunes cartoon series. Bosko wore long pants and a derby hat, and he had a girlfriend named Honey and a dog named Bruno. 23. bosko at the zoo (1932)

well, here we are! our first entry into 1932. there would be 13 looney tunes shorts and 12 merrie melodies shorts, making for a total of 25 cartoons. here we have bosko at the zoo, where bosko and honey go for a date at the zoo, but things don’t always go as planned.

our lovebirds are happily singing along to the classic ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay while cycling on a day out. honey is not so safely perched on the handlebars with bosko in control, occasionally hitting a rock and sending her flying. each time he catches her, prompting her to chide “careful, bosko!” to which he sings some more, the gag repeating.

their destination? the zoo. honey is eager to go in, until she hears the sound of a lion’s roar. bosko assures her that the lion can’t hurt her and drags her inside. i’ll say it once and i’ll say it again, i’m glad the voice acting is improving, little by little. it’s still pretty poor, but both bosko and honey don’t sound like nails on a chalkboard anymore. may it continue to improve!

they pause to admire the lion, but any shred of bosko’s bravery is lost when the lion jumps against the cage and shakes the bars. ever so bravely, the couple runs away to safety near the aquarium. honey croons “bosko! ain’t that cute?” and we watch as two fish engage in a game of leap frog.

great visuals in this scene! i love that bosko and honey are looking into the tank, and we’re looking out from the perspective of the tank, rather than the opposite. a good way to immerse the viewer. the fish cease their leap frog and swim away in a hurry. we see a giant brute of a fish, who angrily blows bubbles in the face of the audience before going about its day. tiny fish follow an octopus (above) and use it as a maypole, bosko and honey swaying to the beat of the music in the background. again, the visuals are to be commended! this is wonderfully smooth and satisfying to watch.

bosko’s enjoyment quickly comes to a stop as an ostrich steals his bowler hat. bosko chases after the ostrich and leaves honey in the dust for the rest of the cartoon. we don’t see her again. what a considerate, caring boyfriend! using some spare rope as a lasso, bosko wrangles the plucky ostrich closer to him... ideally. instead, the lasso loops around the ostrich’s neck, but doesn’t stop it. bosko loops the rope around the tree and pulls, but he gets catapulted across the zoo, with some comfy porcupine quills to cushion his fall. the porcupine plucks its quills back from bosko’s butt, putting it on like a coat. the classic coat gag, how overused you are, yet how i love you!

resuming the chase, bosko pulls on the ostrich’s tail to stop it in its tracks. as ostriches do, the ostrich swallows his hat whole, prompting bosko to grab it by its neck and drag it to a nearby nest, insisting “GET IN THERE!”

hesitant at first, the ostrich assumes its position, and we pan to bosko, who’s tapping his foot and pacing impatiently. one of the few times i’ve laughed out loud watching a bosko cartoon! the timing is spot on. bosko’s frustration feels believable for once. the ostrich lays its egg, and out pops bosko’s hat, safe and sound. predictably hilarious! all of these gags in these old cartoons are predictable, but they weren’t at the time of their release, so i shouldn’t be so quick to judge. it made me laugh regardless.

unfortunately, the ostrich is insatiable. it follows bosko, who cries “BEAT IT!” after it tries to take another go at his hat. the ostrich becomes upset, but no matter! pied piper bosko is on the case. he plays a soothing tune on his pipe, and sure enough the ostrich is up and dancing in no time.

we have a shot of some other zoo animals dancing, including this kangaroo and a gang of beavers (animation borrowed from big man from the north. fittingly enough, seeing as this is the first cartoon of 1932, and that was the first cartoon of 1931). we also focus on a pair of particularly itchy monkeys. one of the monkeys plucks a flea from its fur, and they fight over who gets to eat it.

for some reason, bosko slips through the bars of the cage and follows the monkeys. he lifts up the instigator of the fight and declares “uh-uh, naughty naughty!”

it seems he didn’t learn from his experiences in congo jazz. reusing the same animation, bosko spanks the monkey for his crimes, only to be witnessed by the monkey’s mother, a menacing gorilla.

bosko awkwardly places the monkey back down and whistles, but it’s too late. we have a scene where the gorilla chases after bosko, cage through cage.

in the midst of the chase we get this beautiful visual of bosko hanging onto a snake like a rope, turning it into a pulley and plummeting to the ground. this is some beautiful animation! especially with the pattern on the snake moving so steadily. there are a lot of beautiful visuals in this cartoon with some nice, smooth animation!

conveniently, bosko lands in a lion cage, and reusing footage from bosko shipwrecked! he runs from the savage beast. the ostrich from before recognizes the trouble and books it, using a walrus as a stepping stone, who also joins the chase.

we now have a chase between an ostrich, a walrus, bosko, and a lion. how things escalate! the ostrich and walrus are cornered against a brick wall, with bosko gingerly hopping to the top. disaster narrowly avoids him as the lion smashes into the wall.

the lion, walrus, and ostrich all pop off the fence as one giant fusion. god, i love this! it needs to be framed in the louvre. nothing like some surrealism to brighten your day! iris out on this horrendous beast.

1932 seems to be promising! this is a very high energy short, even if it’s particularly leisurely at the same time. this premise would be reused in porky’s picnic—the two shorts are rather similar, only porky has to dodge the ferocious jaws of various animals in order to protect a bratty baby who shows him love by whacking him in the face with a plank of wood. some pieces of animation are reused, but it doesn’t seem glaringly obvious unless you’re me, who is binging all of these cartoons at once and thus watching years of gags in a mere span of days. animation is bound to be recycled. the music score is LOVELY! very jazzy and exciting, especially during the chase sequence! glad to have a bit of a mood going on with the music. there are some beautifully fun visuals as shown above... not many downsides to this short! it would be nice if honey were in it longer instead of being hung out to dry, but what can ya do? overall, very good for what we’ve seen! probably tied for my favorite or second in line to bosko the doughboy. i recommend a watch!

Hi! Sorry if these has been discussed before and sorry if the take may sounds silly, but what's your take on 4x14's will scene having some sort of mutual rejection effect talks I've seen lately? Also, speaking of rejection, what's the possibility of Eddie thinking that he can't have someone working in high risk jobs (first responders like firefighters, soldiers, cops) as his "partner" now that he knows Christopher has a panic attack over the possibility of his dad dying because of his job?

Thank you so much for this ask, it def wasn't discussed on my blog yet. But even if it were, I'm always up for a nice chat, you never know what new insights you might stumble onto. ;)

So as I've mentioned before, due to my vertigo making reading difficult, I haven't come across this idea of a mutual rejection in the will scene in 414. So I tried to think what that might refer to and I'm honestly at a loss? The most I could come up with is that maybe Buck would experience it as rejection that the legal status he's been given in Christopher's life is only in the event of Eddie's death, but I honestly couldn't come up with a single idea on why Eddie would experience the scene as being rejected by Buck... If you'd like to illuminate me on this, I'm here to listen!

As for the aspect of the will tying Buck to Chris legally only if Eddie's gone (i.e, assuming I guessed right), I honestly don't think Buck would experience this as rejection. Because think of Buck, who's been left behind and ACTUALLY rejected HIS ENTIRE LIFE starting with HIS OWN PARENTS, the people who we first experience the world and our place in it through, who was then also abandoned by HIS FIRST TWO MEANINGFUL ROMANTIC ATTACHMENTS, and who then met an elderly man he identified with (Red) only to learn that Red has also been left behind by everyone that mattered to him, think of Buck who's so filled with this fear of being rejected that he thinks he's easily replaceable by JUST ABOUT ANYBODY (as we saw when Eddie first shows up, and when Buck first sees Lena Bosko) and that no matter how much history and love he has with the people he's closest to, he doesn't believe it's enough for them to forgive him for something that isn't even his fault (his certainty that he has to leave the 118 because he thinks he broke it by making Chim leave).

Buck started out his friendship with Eddie by being sure this man, who is too incredible for words, will immediately replace him. And instead, he discovered this guy honestly wanted to be Buck's friend. And then next, this man trusted Buck with telling him about Chris, despite having a millisecond of hesitation. Eddie also showed him Christopher's picture. And went with him to pick up Chris. Which would be amazing amounts of trust even under normal circumstances, to have a parent so trusting regarding their kid with a colleague they were off to a rocky start with, but even more so when that kid has CP! And Eddie showed Buck that trust and kept letting Buck more and more into their lives. And here's the thing: this isn't something Buck could automatically expect. Think of other parent at the 118, we never see Buck being so embraced into a family unit and a co-parent position as he is with Chris, so he must know that this is out of the ordinary amounts of trust. And then Buck thinks he broke Eddie's trust by losing Chris during the tsunami. Yet, the next thing he knows is that Eddie turns around and says, "don't be silly, of course you didn't, in fact I TRUST YOU MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE, MY FAMILY INCLUDED, WITH MY KID." This moment isn't something Buck would expect to happen, but it did.

And then Eddie topped it all off by showing that HE WILL ALWAYS HAVE THIS MUCH TRUST IN BUCK, even after he's gone. He doesn't just trust Buck to take Chris to the zoo and have fun with him there, HE TRUSTS BUCK WITH CHRISTOPHER'S EDUCATION AND WELL BEING AND WHOLE FUTURE. He trusts Buck TO FIGHT FOR CHRISTOPHER MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE EVER WILL. And then he adds, "That's what I want for him". THAT'S WHAT I WANT FOR HIM. There's not a splinter of rejection there in my book, Nonnie.

Just think: Buck, that first time he saw Christopher's pic, probably knew he was already being afforded a lot of trust, he never could have dreamed Eddie would ever put THIS MUCH TRUST, that he would one day make Buck THE LEGAL GUARDIAN OF HIS KID. And yeah, the context is what would happen if Eddie died. That's like meeting and befriending a king just 'coz you like the man wearing the crown and 'coz you think he's awesome, expecting nothing in return, secretly being scared he would stop being your friend one day 'coz he's a king, what can you possibly offer a king? And instead one day, out of nowhere, he offers you half his kingdom. When you didn't expect him to give you a thing! I don't think you'd look at it and go, "well, this is just HALF a kingdom, not all of it, so this is rejection."

And yeah, it does mean that there's still space in Eddie and Chris' current life that isn't occupied by Buck, but then... this scene was just s4, we have more seasons ahead of us and still need more places this family unit could advance to...

I'm sorry I kept going all caps, they just make me go feral for real. XD And also sorry if after all of this, it turns out I guessed wrong. Buck wasn’t at all surprised when he got back from the zoo to find that Tony had left. Honestly, he’d stayed longer than he thought he would have. Although, he was a bit hurt that he hadn’t even left a note, or even sent him a text message. They hadn’t really gotten a chance to talk much. Buck knew the man led a very busy and exciting life, but he had wanted him to know a bit about his own life.

The truth was that he had decided to stop moping and do light duty, at least until the department cleared him to return to regular duties. If Buck was being honest with himself, the Fire Marshall position, while it paid more, wasn’t something he wanted. He knew he’d excel at it, because he loved random trivia. So, learning and remembering the many rules and fire regulations would be a piece of cake. Math wasn’t his strongest subject, but he knew enough to be able to do his job and do it well.

So, he was confident that he’d be a great Fire Marshall, but it wasn’t what he wanted. He wanted to be on a fire engine, be the one in the harness rescuing people that couldn’t save themselves. It didn’t have anything to do with the praise he might receive, but about feeling like he had a purpose in life. Buck was certain that being a firefighter was that purpose, and he would endure anything to get back to that. Even if that was doing light duty as a Fire Marshall.

He had wanted Tony to know all this, since it felt like there was a sudden distance between Eddie and him. The trip to the zoo hadn’t been like their other outings. Eddie had seem —not cold— but there had certainly not been the same relaxed, almost intimate feeling Buck always felt. Whenever they were together, Buck could almost lie to himself and say he was a family with Eddie and Chris.

However, today it hadn’t felt like that. It hadn’t felt like BuckEddie with Chris. That day it had been Eddie and Chris, and Buck just tagging along. He couldn’t explain the reason for this, but it had seem to come from Eddie.

Buck had asked if everything was alright, but the man had reassured him that everything was fine. Although, the smile hadn’t been his usual ones, but he couldn’t really argue. Buck didn’t know what the problem was, so he was at a loss.

And now Tony was gone as well, and Buck felt even more lost.

Tony could feel the cold sweat on his back as he hacked more and more into SHIELD’s mainframe and kept coming back with one thing: HYDRA was very alive, and it was living inside of SHIELD. He was horrified how much of the organization had a hold of SHIELD, where Tony couldn’t see where one ended and the other began.

He had contacted Fury on a secure line (even more secure than the phone lines at the White House) and he had told him about his suspicions on something not being right as well. Tony didn’t know if he was bullshitting and trying to cover up the fact that HYDRA had pulled one over on him. At this point he didn’t really give a shit. Tony just wanted to fix this, and now.

Now he knew why there was a backdoor in the LAFD. Because Stark Industries donated a lot to several Fire Departments, but none more than the LAFD. He had started this when he learned that Buck was a firefighter, and HYDRA was interested in whatever caught Tony’s interest. As soon as he’d realized that and that they might be tracking him, he’d gotten the fuck out of Buck’s apartment.

He knew they might be able to track him easily if the hellicarriers managed to link to the spy satellites, and he was working furiously to make sure they hadn’t found his connection to Buck. If they had, then he would be very pissed at himself.

Tony knew he had a dangerous job, that he had enemies that could and would target those he cared about. One would think he’d learned his lesson after the Mandarin debacle where not only had Happy been hurt, but Pepper had been kidnapped, and even Rhodey had been in danger. He’d gotten sloppy. It was as simple as that.

The breakup with Pepper had weakened him emotionally and he had allowed himself to be near Buck, spend time with him without making sure he wasn’t being tracked. And it wasn’t only Buck; it was also Bobby and Athena and her kids. Tony had stayed in their house and they could be a target. While he was near, all of the 118 could become a target.

That had been three days ago now. The last he had heard, Fury was going to meet with Alexander Pierce about not only delaying Project Insight, but also about HYDRA’s infiltration of SHIELD. Tony had yet to hear from him, and he was very worried. Nick was a tough son of a bitch, but even he wasn’t invincible. Tony knew that he had gotten Steve involved and that Natasha had already been on covert missions within missions to find out about some inconsistencies.

Tony might need to contact one of them, but there was no way of knowing if they had a secure line.

‘Sir, I’m getting reports that Director Fury has been killed,’ JARVIS suddenly piped up.

“Fuck!” Tony cursed. He paused a moment as he breathed heavily, wincing as his hand went to the side. The superhero had managed to get some antibiotics and been changing the bandages as best as he could, but not as well as he should. So, he was still in pain. It’s a miracle he hadn’t pulled any of the stitches if he was honest.

“Get me confirmation on that J,” he told his AI. He wouldn’t believe the man was dead without seeing a body. Nick was a slippery SOB and wouldn’t be taken out so easily. “Also, try to get in contact with Maria Hill.” He was well aware that the more modern communicators were likely to be compromised, but he had his ways. HYDRA was right to have him on their kill list, because he was the only one that could stop them. And he would.

“They’re going to regret using my technology to power the hellicarriers,” he said. He wouldn’t be able to disable the satellites, since there wasn’t really time for it. However, disabling three targets would be a piece of cake, especially when they were using his tech. “Let’s take away control from HYDRA.”

The ladder truck and fire engine as well as the ambulance pulled alongside the building in the fire lane. Eddie followed by Lena, Bobby, Jensen and the rest of the crew all jumped from the trucks. Lena and Jensen were working as a team, since while Eddie worked well with her, not so much with Jensen. It wasn’t that he wasn’t a good fire fighter, because he was. Eddie just didn’t have the same communication he had with Buck, and so when he could work alone, he did. When he had to work with someone, he worked with Lena. He’d made this clear with Bobby, who hadn’t seen a problem with it.

While he’d have preferred Buck to Lena, the woman was the second best choice.

“Everyone, please keep moving to the designated area,” one of the firefighters from the other station was telling the people that were evacuating the building. The back of his turncoat read ‘Towne’.

“My God, that’s the biggest damn fire I’ve never seen,” Chimney said sarcastically.

Eddie rolled his eyes as he continued walking, and went to where Hen was next to a fire hydrant. “I hate fire drills,” she groaned as she crouched beside it.

He grunted as he connected the hose to the hydrant. “City mandates we do ‘em every three years. Can’t fight City Hall.”

“First alarm was triggered at 12:20 pm. Call came in 30 seconds later. Boots down, hoses out by 12:43pm,” Bobby informed them.

“That’s what?” Eddie asked as he stood after he finished.

“Four minutes over our allotted response time.”

Chim glanced over as he had been lifting a hose. “Ouch, that’s gonna cost us some points.”

Hen stood with an eye roll. “Somebody’s gonna have to explain that to the new Fire Marshal.” They looked at one another and then all three of them looked pointedly at Bobby.

If he could, Bobby would groan loudly, but he only gave a small sigh. It was times like these he regretted having accepted the Captain position. He guessed there was no choice, and went to find Buck. It only lifted his spirits a little that Buck hadn’t completely thrown his career away over a little set-back, but it wasn’t much.

Bobby just hoped that when he told Buck the truth, he’d understand his reasoning. He hoped.

Buck was pleasantly surprised when he was invited to dinner at Athena and Bobby’s house. He’d never say it out loud, but he regarded the two in a parental role than he had ever seen his parents. Bobby certainly saw Bobby as more of a father-figure than his own abusive father.

As they sat around the table, he felt a warm feeling at the fact that it was only him with the couple instead of it being the rest of the 118. Although, he would admit that he wouldn’t have minded if they had been there. The distance that had grown between him and Eddie hadn’t changed, and the feeling of dread that he was being replaced had only grown when he had seen Lean Bosko in his place at Eddie’s side.

It had felt like they were all moving on without him. So, now he was feeling desperate to get back to full duty with his team, besides Eddie. After telling Bobby and Athena about the lawyer trying to get him to sign an affidavit against the 118 to blame them for the logjam on the stairwell during the fire drill.

“Hey, that- that lawyer got me thinking. There’s strength in numbers, right? Maybe I could get everyone to sign a statement of support or something.” The more the idea got into his head, the more he wanted to do it.

“Buck-” Bobby started, but Buck cut him off.

“Show the higher ups that- that you guys don’t think I’m a liability.

“Buck-”

“They’d have to listen, right?” He felt hopeful the more he spoke of it, of getting back to his team, to the only family besides Maddie he had ever known.

“I want you to listen to me,” Bobby tried again.

“I mean, you told them I was ready,” he cut him off again. He was starting to feel desperate, not being able to get back. Buck wanted to come back to where he belonged. “I mean, these- these dumb asses- they would, they would have no right to keep me-!”

“I’m the dumb ass!”

“Uh-what?” Buck asked, trying to smile past the shock. He had a feeling he knew where this was going, but he didn’t want to believe it; refused to believe it. Now, he looked at Bobby, silently pleading for the man to say anything than what he was sure he was about to say.

“You’re not ready. That’s what I told them when they asked.”

When Buck left the Grant-Nash house, he wondered where he was supposed to go now. He had thought that Bobby had his back, since the man had told him the department thought he was a liability to come back because of the blood thinners. It had all turned out to be a lie. Bobby had been lying to him, and he was deeply hurt by this more than anything.

Now, he had no one to turn to, since he was sure that they would all agree with Bobby. As he got into his Jeep, slamming the door violently as he did, he glanced at the console where Chase Mackey’s business card was. He glanced at the time on his phone, seeing that it was a bit late, but even then he unlocked his phone and dialed the number.

‘There’s too many, sir. We won’t be able to save them all.’

“We’ll save as many as we can,” Tony snarled, hands moving over the keys.

Every single SHIELD agent had been compromised when Rogers and Romanoff had uploaded all those files onto the internet. He’d already grounded the hellicarriers, so he hadn’t had to worry about that. But now not only were all the agents that weren’t HYDRA in danger, but so were their families.

He hadn’t slept more than six hours in the last three days, but he couldn’t rest. There were still so many of them. So many already dead that shouldn’t have had to die if only they had thought about what they had been risking. While HYDRA had indeed infiltrated SHIELD, that was mostly positions of power, or liaisons such as to the FBI and CIA. However, lower level positions and a lot of regular agents were not HYDRA.

‘Sir, I have an incoming call from Clint Barton.’

“Not now,” he snapped, trying to maneuver a suit in sneaking into Pakistani without being seen. There was an agent embedded in deep cover there and time was running out to get him out.

‘He says it’s urgent, sir.’

“Fuck,” he growled. “Take over this, J.”

He went to the holoscreen and the waiting call. “This better be life and death, Barton! I’m busy cleaning up your buddy’s fuckup before everyone dies!”

The man looked to have seen better days, one eye swollen shut and a cut along his cheek and when he spoke there was blood in his teeth. “I was compromised... I got out in time... but my kids... I haven’t been able to get in contact with my wife.” He was wheezing and he was clearly more injured than what Tony could see, perhaps fluid in his chest cavity and would need immediate medical help.

Tony was shocked at learning that Barton had a wife and kids, then again he hadn’t really gotten to know the man. So, he guessed him having a family wasn’t that weird. “Give me their location and I’ll send a jet for them.” He didn’t even ask him to explain or anything, knowing that time was of the essence. Tony hoped they weren’t already dead. “You better get your ass to the nearest hospital, Barton,” he also told him.

“Thank you, Tony,” the man sighed in relief.

“Don’t thank me yet,” he said with a grim expression. He was being stretched thin but he had to at least try. Tony would not have any regrets over not having done everything he could in saving the compromised agents, but especially their innocent families.

He’d pulled FRIDAY from the Ten Rings and she was helping JARVIS use every suit, jet, plane, helicopter, or vehicle at their disposal to get out as many SHIELD personnel alive as he could. There had been too many times that he had arrived too late, finding a dead agent, or their murdered family.

Tony was teetering on the edge of a breakdown, but he didn’t have time. He had to hold himself together, somehow.

“Alright Fri, give me control of a jet near these coordinates,” he told his newly awakened AI. He was so proud at how quickly she’d adapted to working with Tony and JARVIS, and it was like she’d always been there.

‘There is a jet 23 miles from that location, but there is not enough fuel to get to one of the safe houses,’ FRIDAY explained.

Tony shook off his fatigue as he felt lightheaded all of a sudden, taking a few deep breaths before he lifted his face. “Give it everything she’d got, baby girl. The objective is to get Barton’s family away from their current location.”

‘Sir, we’ve got incoming,’ JARVIS said suddenly, sounding worried.

“Bring up security feed,” he told him. The holoscreen appeared with the feed of outside the bunker. He was where his Malibu mansion had once been, which no one knew about. Although, judging by the man in black leather with the cybernetic arm that had just now shot out his camera, someone knew he was here. It was most likely HYDRA, and he had wondered when they would send someone for him.

However, he might be in trouble, since he currently only had just a basic armor with no weapons; it couldn’t even fly, having sent every other armor out to help in extracting the agents. Tony could fix it to at least get it to fly, but nothing else with the little time he had.

He hurried over to the armor, attaching everything needed to get it to fly. The man wasn’t even halfway through doing this when he paused and looked up as he heard the scream of metal being bent. Tony inhaled deeply to stay calm. He was in trouble.

“J, initiate Rescue Protocol.”-

So as i was going to sleep last night i couldn't help thinking of the worlds most awkward (and kinda hilarious) firehouse scene ever, except what if it was somehow more awkward. And thus i present to you this idea:

So it starts off the same with the Buck and Christopher hug and Eddie looking on with heart eyes and completely forgetting Ana's existence. BUT instead of Ravi saying this must be your wife (and sending Eddie into a panic again) when she has to introduce herself we get this:

Ana: i'm Ana

Ravi: ahh you must be Eddie's sister

Ana: i-

Ravi (cont.): it's so nice of you to look after your nephew while his dads are working *insert sunshine smile here*

Ana (noticing neither Eddie nor Buck are making any moves to correct Ravi and in fact seem completely calm about the situation): i'm Eddie's girlfriend

Cue Ravi being shocked to hell because: are you sure??? cause have you seen them interact???

And Ana is all: yes i'm sure we've been together 8 monts (or however long it's been what even is this timeline) it's quite serious

And then we get the Eddie panic attack starting to rear it's head at the thought of Ana being family and not Buck and he does that awkward send off to look at the station with Ravi

And completely random but it also made me think of a scene, maybe just after the blackout but before Eddie takes Buck's advice and breaks up with Ana (maybe it's the day he's planning to do it) where they're walking down the street or into a cafe and bump into Lena Bosko

Lena: yo Diaz!

Ediie: hey Bosko!

*insert mindless catching up here, and also conveniently forgetting about Ana again*

Lena: how's the husband?

Eddie (without even blinking): he's good, at the zoo with Christopher again

Lena: glad you sorted the custody agreement out ;) (i headcannon that Lena totally ribbed Eddie about the grocery store scene after it happened and told him they were fighting like divorced parents going through a custody battle so it's an inside joke with them now)

Ana once again seeing Eddie clearly not have a panic attack over Buck being called Eddie's husband and Chris' dad: 👁👄👁

And then the breakup happens

@hearteyesforbuck prompted a headcanon for a zoo field trip with Eddie and Lena as chaperones. 

Lena has never ever hated to full force of her girlfriend’s puppy eyes, Eddie’s pleading, and Buck’s smile that can get him damn near anything that she does and she is standing at the entrance of the zoo with four six year olds looking at her like she has any idea what the hell she’s doing. 

“I’m going to poison you,” she hisses at Eddie while he laughs at her. Look, she’s chaperoned trips for Ana’s class before but there is a whole entire galaxy of difference between 4th graders and the little people staring up at her right now. 

“Remind me why Buck doesn’t have a group?” she whispers, glancing at where Buck stands talking to one of the other chaperones...a mom with a set of twins in Buck’s class. 

“He floats between the groups. Talks to kids who aren’t following the rules. He gets to be the mean one.” Lena raises her brow skeptically. She’s seen Buck in action and mean isn’t a word she would use for how he interacts with his students. 

When they finally separate, each chaperone the proud owner of a folder with more information than they could possibly need in Lena’s opinion, everything goes smoothly. At least until Cameron falls and scrapes her knee. Then somehow the world is ending and Lena feels nothing like the trained firefighter she in and for a moment is in over her head. 

An hour and a half in, they break for lunch and Lena has never been more exhausted in her life. She has no idea how Buck does this every day but she’s pretty sure that when she murders him for convincing her to do this, he’ll be sainted or something. 

“I hate you,” she mumbles, head pillowed on her crossed arms almost the moment she drops onto the bench beside Eddie. 

“Bosko? You good?” Buck pokes her arm when he settles onto the opposite side of the picnic table and it’s only the chatter of little voice around them that keeps her from hitting him. 

“Bosko  vs 6 year olds...the 6 year olds won.” Eddie’s voice is teasingly serious. 

“Ana’s gonna help me murder you both,” she threatens, lifting her head up to glare at them when they laugh.

I have to say it: I honestly thought Eddie was going to blame Buck for missing Christopher -- I would've done it.

Like, the way he was looking at him when Buck was trying to explain how he actually had been taking care of Chris through the whole mess and unintentionally lost him was heartbreaking. It got me thinking "ow, awesome, they ruined their relationship so Eddie can get with that Bosko*", but I'm so glad I was wrong.

*she's going back to her station and we're never gonna hear from her again, right? Nothing against the character per se, but I don't fuck (in every possible sense) with trasphobics. Plus, 9-1-1 is a LGBTQ+ friendly show, so was it really necessary to choose Ronda (? = idk if that's her name tbh) as a part of the cast? Mh.

#VacationSeries 2: Enjoying Taman Safari Indonesia with FastnFurious

“So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?” (55:13)

After 1.5 months of pediatric stage, me and my group went to Taman Safari, Bogor, Indonesia for vacation. But before I tell you about our excitement, I'll introduce you first about my group. This called "Fast n Furious" from the original name is group F. We make into the new name just to make it fun but still have meanings. Fast means we can work and graduate to be a dentist fast, Furious means Fun n Serious: we can be serious but still can enjoy the moment and be fun. It consist of me, Faizah (our group leader), Upi, Ayu, Icha, Bena, Shilvy, Dita, Thalita, and last but not least, the only man in this group, Bosko. I feel really honored to have them and surrounding by them, they are all hetero gent people who can accept each other and blend easily, so we can make a really comfy environment. Alhamdulillah, I really thank Allah for that.

The day before vacation, we’re staying at Icha’s house. This is my very first time went there. Her house is incredibly awesome, big, and beautiful. I definitely love your house, Cha!!! Here the snapshots which were taken at her house:

Friday afternoon, 6th, 2017, after briefing of Oral Medicine Stage at RSCM, We were immediately going to Icha’s house by her car. Her house is located in Bekasi, so it takes around an hour to go. We’re arrived around 5.00pm, and decided to swim together, without many clothes supplies, we’re borrow Icha’s clothes. It’s super sudden craving to swim, especially me, hahaha :D. We spent around an hour of swimming, it’s super relaxing, I really enjoyed! After maghrib pray, we were watching a movie in the TV and having dinner with a delicious foods. We are continuing our night time singing together till midnight, yes literally midnight 12.00pm , hahaha so funny yet crazy time. We’re going to sleep immediately after that, because the next morning we have prepare the vacation and wake up earlier.

Saturday morning, 7th, 2017. I’m wake up to pray at 5.00am and continue sleep till 8am (haha it’s actually late tho). But, it’s okay! We’re prepare quick and ready to go! We’re breakfast with McDonald’s food in the car, to make it fast and avoid long jam, because you know, the way to Bogor is always crowded in the weekend. But, fortunately, our way is not boring, 4 hours on the way is always exciting and funny, always joking every single second :D haha.

Saturday afternoon, 7th, 2017 at 12.00pm we’re arrived safe and sound, Alhamdulillah!!! It’s always interesting to go to the zoo, seeing the various of animals which is so so cute , I love them <3

and after sight seeing, we’re watching the motorcycle performance in the globe. It was incredible show!!! I really amazed with the rider skill, it was so OMG, MasyaAllah.

We’re continuing our journey to watch the sea lion show, the cowboy and dolphin show. But, unfortunately because I have to pray ashr, I didn’t watch the dolphin show. Next, we are going to do rafting, but not all of us join in, only me, Bosko, Faizah and Upi. The route is so crazy with two climbs to the top, which is so fun we finally we can slide down and touch the water.

We ended the trip with taking lots of pictures together :D. Thank you all for finally making this vacation. It was totally fun and I’m super enjoy it. Till next vacation, guys!!!

P.S. Don’t forget to bring your mukena every time you go, because we don’t know whether the mosque provides mukena or not. So, just prepare it before it’s too late to regret.
