Cassandra: Kristy finished the Robo-Arm. And it's made for a left arm. And it's relatively small too, I think she might've used her own measurements.

Jayden: Oh… That's… convenient… I guess.

Cassandra: This is my fault.

Cameron: No, it's not.

Cassandra: But I told her she'd jinx it. I'm probably the one who jinxed it by pointing it out.

Jayden: Don't blame yourself for it, a lot of factors could've played a roll. Let's wait and see how everything turns out. Right now we're working on a safety policy, apparently we didn't have one. Wanna help us?

Cassandra: Oh. Sure. Write down "No jinxing allowed".

The Lunch Date

Elise gazed lovingly at her soulmate Hyun. A Saturday lunch date was exactly what she needed to help her relax before the start of her final term. As a Foxbury Physics major, Elise was three courses away from earning her degree. After graduation, she would have to choose between a career in computer engineering or mechanical engineering. It was a big decision for a small-town kid who always dreamt of creating her own ExoMech suit, like the ones she saw in comics and movies. She also desired to own a pair of computer glasses and experience the all-knowing powers they afforded the wearer. The decision weighed heavily on her mind, but she pushed it to the side to focus on Hyun.

"Why do we keep coming here, babe?" Elise whined. "The food is no good, and it's literally so grimy. They keep stacking plates right above our heads!" Hyun shrugged unaffectedly, then a small smile lit a spark in his eyes as he quipped, "Well, would you rather have a repeat of the Spice Festival disaster?"

Elise quickly jabbed him playfully in the side with her finger and scrunched her face into a fake scowl. "I'm not sure what you mean." She laughed while hiding her face behind her hands, which still bore the small scars of a spicy curry challenge gone wrong. "You absolutely do know what I mean, and I will never let you forget it." Hyun smiled broadly this time as he languidly contemplated Elise. He fondly remembered the first time he saw her at a Bot Savants meeting. Elise was diligently working on a Party-Bot in preparation for a Utili-Bot contest. The title of Bot Master was on the line, and she was zoned in. Hyun, being self-assured and feeling the tingles of love at first sight, offered to help Elise, but his inadequate robotics skills caused a near-death zapping experience. He did not earn her respect that day, but he did earn her sympathy. They got to know each other really well during the mandatory 2-hour recovery period while she stayed with him to be sure he was okay. The zap was worth it.

This is just a little short story that I had in my head as I was playing with these Sims. Elise is Elise Price from High School Years, now a young adult in college. Hyun is Hyun Jeong, found under Basegame Guy from meherdashley on the gallery. As I play the Sims, I tend to run storylines in my head, so I have decided to use Tumblr to write them. I want to practice writing and figured this would be a fun way to build confidence. You gotta start somewhere, right? It won't be elaborately, well-thought out stories. More so just tidbits here and there to capture the feelings and goals I have while playing. Eventually, I do hope to get to longer stories. If you come across this, I hope you enjoy it. Career Legacy Challenge: Rules

A Sims 4 completionist legacy challenge that plays through all the careers while aiming to complete all collections, rewards, aspirations, degrees, skills, using all traits and worlds in-game.

Basic Rules

Since there are 26 generations in all, heirs could be named alphabetically

Spouses must complete the other career track, unless there’s only one career branch

Spouses may complete the side quests, second aspiration, and/or after-school activity

University is optional except when an organization or an after-school activity is specified

The family museum should contain the collections, career rewards, and other memorabilia of the family. It can be a closed retail lot that is passed throughout the generations.

In this post, I'll be covering the Foxbury Institute!

Similar to the University of Britechester, it's mostly the same but also opting out of one of the dormitories to give more space for Foxbury students to hang out on campus.

☕ Community Lots

The two community lots will be the Foxbury Commons and the Foxbury Community Space!

Here, the Foxbury Commons are "connected" to the dormitory building lot instead of being on the lot they were before. I've never built a Community Space lot before and don't regret doing a three-in-one lot yet, so likely I'll stick with it!

I feel like it matches the very contemporary/progressive vibe that the Foxbury Institute has where students can really change how their campus looks through voting. Also think it'll be fun to give students access to all of the cool maker stuff from the Eco Lifestyle pack, those items really meld well with the Foxbury Institute's vibe, and what I imagine their students would be into...

🏠 Residential Lots

Just like with the UBrite Spirit Housing, the Foxbury Spirit Housing will be home to the Foxbury Institute student organization leaders! They'll have their own in-house robotics lab, research library, and of course private bedrooms & bathrooms!

🌱 Architectural Style: Greenwashing! Yippee!

I imagine the super innovative Foxbury Institute does have students in their distinguished programs who are passionate about the environment and whatnot, but I want the campus itself to be ironically contemporary and greenwashed. Lots of wood, green roofs, green walls, and super innovative outdoor green floors (also known as lawns)!

But definitely making it very contemporary and taking some inspiration from some of the new architectural projects in Copenhagen. These will probably be pretty difficult to actually design in The Sims 4, but looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone with the types of builds I do!

Elucea noticed the Bot Savants left poor T.O.B.O.R. broken in the quad when they left.

im not immune to hcing all of my faves as autistic....

ok but like in every superion bio theres mention of him tamping down/blocking out his components to become the cold, focused combiner that he is, and i feel like "supressing yourself so you can actually function" is just sooooo on the nose, yknow?

skydive obviously has a special interest in history and war strategy. helpful, when you're the strategist of the team. hes like, a genuine savant when it comes to flying, but he can easily get caught up infodumping abt the pilot who created the technique theyre trying to practice, instead of actually practicing. hes the kinda guy who has to make Everything about his special interest, but stays pretty quiet if he cant.

slingshot is SO classic Cant Regulate Emotions At All. he makes up for it by being a showoff and a compulsive liar. neither of these things make anyone like him much. he tends to have meltdowns with some frequency, which hasnt done much for his reputation either. his meltdowns are usually overwhelming for the other aerialbots too, so they end up scattering and leaving silverbolt to fix the situation.

many many feelings about fireflight autism bc he gets woobified a lot (i remember poking around the tf plotbunny lj a year or so ago and seeing a bunny from like 2008 abt him "suffering from autism" so hes at least always had That Vibe). hes just very observant. doesnt really have a lot to say! but not really a good listener either because he WILL start thinking abt that interesting rock poking out of the wall or that bird he saw while he was out earlier, and just completely misses whats being said to him. he and skydive are a good mix bc skydive can just talk and talk abt his jet fighter blorbos and fireflight can do fireflight things and theyre both fine with this. also think abt this ⬇️ kind of scenario a lot

hes also most likely to collect Weird Stuff. his whole personal shelf is full of bins of strange twigs or scrap metal or basically anything that catches his interest. hes a bit of a corvid tbh

if fireflight is the guy that everyone assumes is autistic, then air raid is absolutely the guy everyone assumes has adhd. his attention span doesnt exist, unless hes doing something he wants to do. hes the closest thing to an adrenaline junkie the team has. raid doesnt go off on his own the way fireflight does, but the odds of him actually following through on orders and plans are slim. he tends to run into walls and corners and doorways a lot (he and flighty both have spacial awareness issues, but fireflights are more obvious in alt mode, and air raids in bot mode).

silverbolt. has to manage all of them and himself. and its incredibly overwhelming. from the outside hes got the vibe that hes one bad incident away from shutting himself in a broom closet for the rest of the day to get away from it all. hes got a bad habit of getting stuck in his head, and his thoughts tend to doom spiral after awhile. but thats like half the reason the other aerialbots are so annoying at him, and he can uh. appreciate. their methods of getting him away from himself. most of the time. i like putting everyone in a planepile because i think bolt would like the feeling of the others weight on his wings. it makes him feel grounded

Kristy: YOUCH!

Beren: What happened?

Beren: Oh.

Jayden: Check on Beren, I'll take Kristy.

Cameron: Roger.

Cassandra: I don't think Beren can handle seeing plasma or limbs pointing in unusual directions. He kinda fainted.

Cameron: You don't say.

Cameron: Try to wake him up, gently, and check if he has a concussion. I'll call for assistance.

Jayden: That doesn't look good.

Kristy: It's okay, it doesn't hurt that much anymore.

Jayden: That's just your adrenaline speaking. We need to get you to a hospital.

Kristy: Don't worry, it's just my left arm.

Jayden: Preferably it had been neither of them. What happened?

Kristy: My sleeve got stuck on the lever when I put up the Robo-Arm on the shelf, and then the lever swung back very fast. I also hit my hand, the plasma isn't from my arm.

Cassandra: How many fingers am I holding up?

Beren: Five. But I didn't hit my head, I'm fine. Well, fine except for feeling very nauseous.

Cassandra: That's a common symptom of a concussion.

Beren: But right now it's a symptom of seeing the state of Kristy's arm. I need to get some fresh air.

Marius: Hello, Beren, you okay? Cameron told me you fainted.

Beren: Just nauseous, going out for some air. And no, I didn't hit my head.

Marius: Okay, but tell me if you need a checkup.

Beren: Sure.

Marius: That's worse than I thought. I'm driving you to the hospital.

Kristy: Do you really think I'll need that?

Jayden: Listen to us, not your adrenaline, okay?

NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 9 Ep 27: New Friends and New Love

Following his health scare Luigi began managing his newly diagnosed condition and tried to keep his promise to his father about life balance.

He spent quality downtime with his cousin Denton, whose work in videogame streaming gave them a lot in common to discuss and enjoy together.

Both men also agreed that they were looking for a special someone. Denton was tired of “playing the field” and felt ready to settle down, while Luigi hoped to find love and start a family faster than his beloved Papa Jack.

On a day Denton and Luigi had a nice long break at the same time, they decided to meet their great-great-grandfather Don at a beachside bar.

Denton planned to interview their elder about his centuries of work as an independent “lifestyle expert”, to check off a cross promotion task his boss had assigned him. Luigi was along not just for support, but also to join a small virtual gaming tournament the venue hosted regularly.

Upon arrival Don introduced the pair to the rest of his club, inviting Luigi to mix them all up some icebreakers to start their meeting off right. While Luigi went to work Denton found himself really hitting it off with fellow gamer Bridget.

Conversation flowed easily between them as they talked about their shared love of games, and it wasn’t long before Denton was completely smitten.

When Luigi’s tournament started Denton reluctantly pull himself away from Bridget to go interview Don. The experienced romantic noticed his grandsons obvious desire to keep spending his time elsewhere and stopped him before he could even get started.

He told Denton to send his questions by e-mail and go enjoy the games instead, making sure his grandson wound up near Bridget’s station.

The event went well for everyone, with Luigi winning 2nd place and Bridget visibly impressed with Denton’s entertaining approach to gameplay.

Denton was shocked and thrilled when Bridget suggested they go somewhere a “little more private” to engage in her favorite two player game.

His heart suddenly beating a million miles a minute Denton squeaked out an enthusiastic reply in the affirmative, letting her lead him to one of the surprisingly clean, private, bathroom stalls just around the corner. Bridget’s “moves” did not disappoint, and Denton couldn’t wait for a rematch!

As they said their goodbyes Luigi thanked Denton for the invite, while he grinned from ear to ear as he thanked their grandfather for letting him “off the hook” for the interview. The Lothario Patriarch winked and replied that he was happy to do it in the name of young love.

That evening at practice Luigi too made an unexpected romantic connection. Professor Silva had invited the university’s Bot Savants, who held their meetings on the same floor of the Commons as the E-Sports Group, to observe their neighboring team in action. His student athletes were starting to prepare for the big end of semester competition against Britechester, and he figured some practice in front of an audience would do them good.

Luigi couldn’t help but notice a pair of pretty girls choosing to stand right behind his station. Hoping to impress them he concentrated hard on the scuffle, more thankful than ever that his iron supplements and Valentina’s advice on healthy eating were keeping him alert and headache free.

After helping his team to victory the brunette congratulated him and introduced herself as Noemi. She suggested that maybe he’d like to hang out after their respective meetings were done and get to know one another a little better.

After ditching their teams and team outfits, they found a quiet study corner to chat. Noemi was also studying computer science, with hopes to become a start up entrepreneur. To his shock, she topped his anecdote about living with his cousins with a funny story about apartment life with her wife…!?

At his confused, crestfallen, look she hastily explained her marriage was complicated, and both she and her partner had agreed to see other people.

Luigi really liked this girl, and if her spouse had agreed to an open relationship then surely, he wasn’t crossing any lines with some harmless flirting.

As they chatted and laughed about classes and professors they hadn’t realized they shared the romantic tension became palpable between them. Remembering his dad’s fondness for exchanging corny sentiments of affection Luigi decided to give it a try himself, firing off a silly, computer themed, one liner. It landed perfectly, and before Luigi knew what was happening, he and Noemi were frantically making out in the study hall.

When ejected by the scandalized Staff, Luigi invited Noemi back to his place, where they kept the momentum going. When they finally came up for air the pair exchanged numbers, promising to get together again soon. Luigi couldn’t believe his luck; he’d found his perfect match without even looking!
