The cold winter night surrounded your upper body as you’re sat in the hot tub at the cabin in the mountains you rented along with your boyfriend, Lando and a couple other friends. The formula one season starts soon and you all wanted to spend some time together before you and Lando are in a different part of the world every other week. 

You came out to the hot tub after dinner to wind down since you’ve been skiing all day and the jets work wonders on your muscles. You rest your head on the tub looking up at the ski and breathing in the cool air from the snow sat on the trees isolating the cabin. you shook out of your thoughts to the sound of the door latching and turn your head to see your boyfriend in nothing but his swim trunks and the dark green crocs you bought him for Christmas. 

“Hi my love!” he smiled as he shrugged his crocs off and placed his towel right next to yours on the lawn chair slightly covered in snow. “Did you leave our friends in there all alone?” you teased as he climbed into the hot tub and settled next to you. “Not entirely, Max and P were cleaning the kitchen from dinner so I'm sure they’ll find something to do.” he said while his hand moved to wrap around your shoulders. Now that it’s been a little over a week I wanted to make an update I guess to say this:

Get to know me FFXIV 21 & 22 please.

So I started out as a Marauder I THINK the veeeery first time I made me very very first character, Tuesday SomethinOrOther (I don’t remember the last name I used anymore haha, it mighta been Morning or Dragonslayer) the Au’ra Man who was big and tall and had a wiggly lil croc tail…. And I played for about 15 minutes then bought the full game (cos I started with a free trial XD)…. Then made a Fem Viera (Chuusday) (there weren’t bunny boys yet or she probably would’ve been one of those tbh!) because I liked their ears and she was an Arcanist because I liked the book and casting and I loved Carbuncles since day 1 even if they loved to aoe and Aggro Goobues that got us both murdered back when I started playing kahahaha…. Back when I played wow I played a LOT of Hunters (even if my most successful character was, I think, a Dranei Priest) …. And then the lore for Chuu developed (Loving Machines and a joke about how the WoL doesn’t know what comes after 4 leading somehow to a stubborn refusal to learn to read common) and uh, Summoner fell off her Canon Classes radar…. Lmfao? I still love the class though and keep it leveled up to play because i find it fun uvu Solar Bahamut is SO cool I just got to 100 today 🥰💖

When I AFK it tends to be in our FC house or in an inn room, I’m a lil shy…. 8.17.24 / day 55 of being a delusional artist

day 3 of moon time

today (yesterday) was long, it was hot, i did not defend my time as an artist instead, i stretched outward, into the world, missed my apartment the entire time. the time i felt most comfortable, oddly, was during my 9am session with eugene, though that likely means that each event throughout the day merely chipped away at me, bit by bit, until i came home, exhausted, at about 6pm.

day 3 of my period, and everything that touches me feels like a needle, my emotions are like bottled live electricity and can be affected by everything and anything. on top of it all, i am in excruciating pain every so often, and it feels like every time i bounce back from a cramp attack, i am hit by another.

i used to snort coke off of toilet seats and now i am experience an intensely growing fear of plastics and toxic chemicals in everything from my food, to my clothes, my sheets, my towels, my dish ware, pretty much everything. everything is plastic, though, in this day + age, and i have to come to terms with the fact that even if this is a problem that exists and is valid in the world, i cannot afford to replace my entire wardrobe with natural cotton fibers and linens that are non-toxic and have no artificial dyes. i can’t replace every plastic thing in my home, i can’t even afford to buy all organic groceries. that doesn’t stop me from spiraling every time i go grocery shopping, though. it doesn’t stop me from panicking every time i want to eat something that i didn’t make myself (so i don’t, or i do and i immediately become afraid/anxious)

tonight i watched the first episode of the new season of the umbrella academy and in this season, victor (elliot page’s character <3) is a womanizing bar owner that has run through every woman in town (love) and klause (token mentally ill/addicted character) looks to have developed some form of OCD, especially in regards to germs and contamination. He is newly sober in this season, and has transformed into a clean freak, paranoid, control-seeking individual. Is this normal for recovering addicts? To pull a complete 180 and try to control everything in your environment? is it because we know how close we’ve been to death that we want to do anything and everything in our control to prevent it from being not on our terms?

part of me sees how i am living an unhealthy life, but the other part of me just thinks i’m right. it’s hard to tell yourself that you’re wrong when every day there’s a news story about some company/farm/manufacturer’s investigation findings being released on toxic chemicals present (above the legal limit, of course). it’s always the same; some company, whether it be kerrygold (my favorite butter), crocs (my favorite shoes), boar’s head (my favorite roast beef), raw rolling papers (supposedly natural, used them for years), simply made orange juice (literally almost bought the day before the lawsuit went public), or seltzer water (thankfully i hate that shit), it’s always the same. ok, boars head was lysteria, but the rest were all chemicals above the legal limit. arsenic, bpas, bpfs, bpss, lead, piss, whatever. poison in something i’ve consumed, worn, used.

i used to poison myself all the time, though, right? so why should it bother my this much? why does it bother me so much than it did before?

i used to think i was confident, i think i was just vacant, dissociating so much that i could be whatever people wanted me to be i never used to spend this much time thinking about my principles, how my actions, from what i buy, to what i support, to who i support, reflect myself as a person, and how they do and don’t align with who i am. i didn’t used to wince at the perfect drying rack someone sends me in an amazon link because i’m boycotting. i would have just bought it. “there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” i would have said. sure, but some consumption is, let’s say, less unethical than others. and maybe i knew that when i was 20, in college, ordering everything for my freshman dorm from amazon because i didn’t have a car and it was easy. maybe i knew that it was unethical and wasn’t who i was as a person, and did it anyway, because it was easy. or maybe i wasn’t this person yet. maybe this person i am now, 7 years in the future, is simply the kind of person who does not do that. and maybe that’s because i got sober, and maybe that was just part of it. the tipping point, between freedom and intention. between chaos and direction. i find it hard to just let go now. the person i am now is holding on tight to rules that do not apply to the person i dream of being. the person i dream of being does not wish to control his world. the person i dream of being flows through the world, and hopes to leave it a little better than when he found it, though i suppose even that is hubris, to wish to change something else. for i know the only thing i have control over changing is myself.

FT Day 9

1/10/24

We were in no rush to leave town. I had brought along a town outfit so I took on the responsibility of doing laundry. There was a laundromat across the street, but I had to go on an adventure to get detergent and then quarters. The laundromat was attached to a cafe, and I bought a latte. I asked her for quarters and she gave me $6 but couldn’t give me more because she needed it for laundry. It turned out she owned the laundromat and ended up taking the quarters back and starting the machine for me.

Morpheus and I have been taking on amateur masseuse and chiropractic techniques as we try to help each other recover from the pain that it thru hiking. We call it .50 Calropratic.

We back to Walmart for some forgotten items, then left the hotel and went next door to a Mexican restaurant that smelled delicious.

When we stepped into the restaurant we were actually teleported to Mexico. Lewiston in general looked and felt like a different country, with significant Cuban influence but very multicultural and racially diverse. It was a really cool town, especially after seeing only 90% white towns along every other trail. I really enjoyed getting to practice my Spanish and we tried to enjoy unfamiliar drinks and snacks. We both tried a “aloe vera bebida” that looked very refreshing but actually contained large chunks of aloe vera pulp. Neither of us enjoyed that, but it was still a good adventure.

The restaurant was not a taco restaurant as we expected but an array of unlabeled dishes. Morpheus ordered first and a women next to us was quickly stepped in to help with translation. I did a semester abroad in Mexico, but I still didn’t know or forgot the names of all the dishes, which added to the confusion. When it was my turn to order the lady said my Spanish was “better,” which felt nice even though she notably did not say it was “good.”

We enjoyed taquitos (flautas) and gorditas. The gorditas were particularly tasty. Then we started to walk.

Morpheus realized very quickly that over the last year his feet had adapted and his go to hiking shoes were tearing up his feet. He finally changed into crocs but by the time we got to camp his pinky toes were rubbed raw.

It was a painful evening for him and discouraging for both of us as we pondered our options. New shoes have been ordered but we will likely have to take time off until his feet can heal a bit and the shoes arrive.

We chatted a bit with our neighbor at the tent site, a lovely woman who recently became a grandmother. She is a blueberry farmer on the summer in Canada and then hikes somewhere new every year. She has done hiking in the Himalayas and the TA that goes across New Zealand. Her favorite was The Israel Trail.

We said goodnight to her and watched an episode of Avatar the Last Airbender before sleep.

you however have nothing to wear because jungkook had donated all of your old belongings. yes, ALL OF THEM so because jungkook is the best partner ever, he requests a guard of his to get you a juicy couture tracksuit and an expensive pair of nike’s to match cause he’s boujee like that and undergarments from calvin klein. you’re in love with the soft material of the tracksuit, not to mention your ass looks nice in it. after that, the two of you headed off to get lunch together and even went shopping because jungkook wanted to replenish all the items chaeyoung destroyed.

you were walking out of malls and stores with bags and bags of items that the moment you set your eyes on it or expressed interest in it, jungkook bought it to much of your reluctance. the public of course took pictures of the two of you together because technically he was still dating chaeyoung yet here he is smiling ear to ear with you, and kissing your cheek or your hand any chance he got.

Currently, Meet Me @ The Altar is like THEE band for me. Their music is so good?? I knew I HAD to see them!!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺🥺 I’d write more but my brain is shutting down LOL!! Them braids was my b-day braids and the way my part looked like moses parted the seas once it was this concert date (mid March, bday was in Jan). Yeah. I know the feeling. I just got my own room for the first time a few months ago. It was suffocating. But I managed through sheer force of will and 'sleeping a lot' AKA: full body under abt 3 or 4 blankets to get rid of all the light and also to feel heavy on me (I'm used to the heat thank god) and had very quiet breakdowns there. Also we bought this Japanese divider (the cherry blossom one) to divy up the room a little, helped a lot that did(though IG made our tiny room feel even timer but it was a small price)

Ice reluctantly raises out his chair to open his office door and hes expected to find a dagger child or his husband. He instead finds a little boy standing infront of his door, he’s in a matching set of pajamas and a set of grey crocs, he looks up at Ice with wide eyes filled with fear.

“Hey” Ice says softly . ”Hey , kiddo”

“Hello” he says back, though its quiet and shy-like.

The little boy features remind him of certain shy pilot under his husband’s command.

“Hey” he repeats back with a smile present on his face, instantly happy.

Ice places his glasses on his desk before squating down. He takes in the little boy appearance his hair is ruffled as if he just woken from his slumber and his eyes held tired look to them.

“Where’s your mama?” Ice asks the young boy feeling dumb as he asks. It’s not everyday you have a someones child on your base wondering the halls.

Ice isn’t expecting a sufficient answer from him. His mouth turns into a frown after realizing his surroundings. He pouts and Ice stops himself from grabbing him just yet.

“Mama” his voice wobbles.

“Your okay” Ice promises gently.

It doesn’t work at all unsurprisingly, and he starts whimpering easing his stuff toy into mouth. Ice recognizes it, he’s holding the exact stuff toy his husband bought for a pilot under his command two years ago.

“Let’s go find mama, You wanna go find mama with me?”

“Mhm” he says lowly, though it swiftly turns into a tiny cry.

Ice try’s again putting his hand out, allowing him to make the first move. He gladly takes it ,him and Ice side by side.

His eyes looked relieved. He’d no longer was scared at the sight of Iceman, his brows raised in a perplexing way each time they past a young woman in a brown uniform. He pointed to each one almost bringing himself to utter the word mama.

Ice and him found themselves at a door that read CMDR Reagan. Ice chuckled to himself as thought back to Maverick telling him about the shy mother-son duo.

The little boy leans into the door tapping it“mama”, He says happily.

Ice mirrors his smile, laughing at his antics.

He continues to babble unintelligible words as he recognized his mothers door.

You drop your pen realising your son wasn't on the ground playing with his toys as he was before. Curse words fill the air before your about pick up the phone that was laying next to your piles of work.

A knock on your door, cuts your train of thought.

“Commander Reagan”, Ice says, rubbing the side of his cheek soothingly.

You stood at attention, “come in sir”.

The COMPACFLT is standing in your doorway with your son in his arms.

“At ease”, you made quick leg work to him grabbing your son. As you inspected your son making sure he was okay. Your eyes meet Ice’s they were filled with fear and uncertainty.

Ice is quick to ease your worry.“he was standing infront of my door”

Your emotions calm a little, but you still look unhappy with the fact your three year son managed to escape without you realizing.

Slience swept through the room until you broke it.

“Thank you Admiral Kazansky” you say quietly fearful of whats going to happen next.

Something told you to stay home today.

Ice frowns at you, his eyes soften at you , as you held your head down of what looked like you were preparing yourself for something bad to happen.

“Miral Zansky” Your son beckons with his hands.

You stare bizzare at your son words, trying to figure out how he learned how to say those specific words.

Tom “Iceman” Kazansky a man who only known for being ice cold no mistakes. Just laughed and smiled at you and your son.

Finn whines making grabby motions at the floor. You put him down gently watching as he and Admiral Kazansky hug eachother.

Your in awe of what’s happening infront of you.

“Miral” Finn repeats again as he shoves his face into Ice’s shoulder.

“Finn” Ice says again as he looking at you with gentleness in his eyes.

There was no trace of coldness in his eyes only happiness. You stood watching the scene unfold infront of you.

“Mama here” Finn murmured to Ice, Admiral Kazansky turned around opening his arms to you.

You stood in disbelief. Did the COMPACFLT just ask you to come give him a hug?

Without missing a beat you find yourself being snuggled and cuddled in your office by your son and boss.

But he wears them when he has to get up in the middle of the night to do some work in his office or room, or when he's checking in on all of his brothers and MC. Though, if he does leave his room, he's nearly positive everyone's asleep and won't see him wearing them. [X]

Mammon

Has the basic black clogs so the Jibbitz he has stands out. They'd golden letters for his initials and MC's initials. He tries to say that MC's initials stand for something else until he finally admits that they're for them. Croc: [X] Letter L: [X] Letter M: [X]

Leviathan

The strap is moved forward so it's easy for him to slip his feet on when he needs to get out of his gaming chair. He has so many Jibbitz - gets custom made ones with whichever anime or video game he's hyperfixating on. [X]

He would not be caught dead wearing the classic clogs. He has to be careful with which Crocs he wears. He tore off the Crocs label so people wouldn't know that his favorite pair of shoes are actually Crocs. [X]

They were for a Devilgram promotion, but they were so soft and comfortable that he kept them. He usually wears them when he's having a spa day in his room. They're ugly, but cute. [X]

Probably not the best for really working out, but they are nice when he's walking back from the gym or practice. Plus, Belphie loves Crocs, so he figured he'd give hem a shot. [X]

They're kind of space themed, they're lined, and they're comfortable. Belphie's the ultimate Croc fan and he's always wearing them when he's not barefoot. [X]

He bought these thinking that humans wear these all the time. When MC shows up one day he's standing with them over his pant legs, all proud. "Do these remind you of home, MC?!" He's so happy especially when MC bursts out laughing and very comfortable. [X]

Professional, easy to clean, and great for when he's on his feet all day fulfilling his duties. He was one of the first to get a pair of Crocs and doesn't care if the others make fun of him. He's too comfortable to care. [X]

Style Headcanons

So basically, I’m a big hater to the way the costume team worked on them. The whole “All Isle kids wear Leather” and “Auradon Kids always look like they’re on their first kid and on the way to the country club” thing drives me crazy. It sorta feels like they made costumes before giving them personalities (The leather on Carlos  and Evie feels like it clashes with their personalities. Lonnie’s dresses in the first movie doesn’t fit the personality we see, even though she didn’t have much of a personality until movie two. Audrey dressed like a thirty-four year old mother who just picked up her kid before going to the country club. Ben’s only good outfit was his swim trunks.) So here are some personal headcanons and pictures of what I imagine for them. (I started making them at 1am last night lol)

Villain Kids 

Evie

As someone raised to want to be a princess, she wants to dress like how she imagines a princess would.

She loves pastels and is no stranger to pairing pastel blue with a neutral red or bright white. 

The only pants she really wears are either athletic shorts or those little flowy elastic shorts, otherwise she’s all skirts.

She’s sorta a prep but not in the same way a character like Audrey would be. 

Evie has respect for most aesthetics, even though she doesn’t fully fit just one. However, she hates crocs and those little pastel shorts that white boys wear, she will announce it often.

Wouldn’t be caught dead in neon colors. 

owns a blue fur coat (it’s fake fur, obviously)

Carlos

Baby boy is a total softie

You know that one gay little sweater in movie one, that’s where they went right, more of that.

He’s into the soft boy aesthetic and only strays from it for formal wear

loves layering sweaters over button ups

Cuffed jeans, always because ya know, bisexual 

Owns a floral button up from Jay, normally he hates patterned button ups but it’s his favorite shirt. 

Loves striped sweaters, he owns about 6 variations of them in different colors (all include red, white, or black of course)

Jay 

In theory, Jay doesn’t really have one aesthetic, he’s willing to try on just about anything

Most of his clothing was bought by Evie or Carlos, especially his formal wear

The only clothes that Jay will buy for himself is athletic wear

He doesn’t really see the point of buy clothing that he can’t go straight to practice in. 

Still has the beanie,  but he owns one in just about every color to match it to his outfit.

Listen, we know Jay’s main color is yellow/gold, but why did we always see him with more red/blue in the movie? What type of snow white aesthetic were they trying to give him?

Jay owns a button up that he write on, he refuses to wear it actually buttoned though

Mal

She loves the grunge/alternative aesthetic, she thinks it makes her look more like she belongs to the Isle

She wouldn’t wear skirts until after she and Evie became friends, Evie bought her her first skirt (a purple plaid one) and she fell in love with it

Mal has a whole jewelry box of just chains, both necklaces and ones that attach to clothing 

Owns a pair of Demonia Swing-815 boots (black patent) and a pair of Demonia Camel-203 boots (holographic purple) 

100% owns one of those studded hot topic belts. 

Has a headband with little horns that symbolize her mother’s horns 

Instead of the leather half gloves from the movie, she has those little fishnet gloves and covers her hands in rings.

Uma

Her style is similar to Mal’s because if Mal is going to do something, Uma will do it better.

Uma only wore outfits that were super Fem and had skirts until Mal started doing it

Then it was Uma always wearing pants, because of her love for plaid skirts she owns a whole collection of plaid pants

the only jeans she owns are black or dark wash.

Harry is actually really good at graphic liner, he owns a gold, red, and white eyeliner to add color to the outfit if it’s mainly black

Gil 

As we know (maybe you don’t) it’s in the canon that Gil’s mother taught him to sew and he enjoys it. 

So Gil doesn't dress in one aesthetic or even close to being in one, he wants to try out everything, both making and wearing them.

He does stick to a monochrome color scheme though, mainly shades of brown with white or black thrown in. Sometimes he adds a little red or yellow though to “honor” Gaston

Most of his clothing is more comfortable than anything

Only owns three pairs of jeans, the rest are different types of pants (he loves corduroys) 

Owns a pants chain that harry bought him but he only really wears it when Harry and Uma are wearing one so he won’t feel left out on it. 

Dizzy 

Baby girl has seen the Isle steal the childhood innocence from people, she dresses in kidcore as a way to keep hers

Her outfits always has at least 4 different colors in it.

No stranger to neon colors, she has a pair of overalls that are neon rainbow and covered in gummy candy and she only wears them with a neon green tee, Evie and Carlos hate this outfits, Jay loves it because of the disappointment it brings to the two fashion fans 

Dizzy’s outfits in the movie were colorful obviously but they should have been just more over the top

She loves patterns and has no fear of pattern mixing

definitely owns some funky earrings, clay rings, and  statement necklaces

puts beads on her shoe laces, especially on her converse (they were white ones, she drew all over them)

Okay so Ben’s animated and movie outfits were bad, you can’t convince me of anything else

Why was Ben not dressed in the soft boy aesthetic? You’re trying to tell me that Belle’s son wouldn’t be a soft boy?

He has a jean jacket with his father’s beast symbol painted on the back

Absolutely loves graphic crewnecks, often layers them over collared shirts

He and Carlos go shopping together often in their free time

Lover of funky crew socks,  ones with paintings, patterns, logos, whatever. But his socks always match

After he and Mal started Dating, he bought a white jean jacket and let her paint it, he wears it all the time even though it didn’t match his original clothing, he bought more clothes in her color scheme to match it

He owns like 6 pairs of high top converse (light blue, yellow, white, navy, black, and Purple after getting the jacket back from Mal)

Chad

Listen, out of everyone he was the closest to how I imagined he should be, that being said, he had a little soft boy thing going on in some movies that I don’t think fit his personality

Polos and button ups are basically all he owns, but he does have some of those pastel simply southern esc graphic tees (Southern people probably know what I’m on about, all the guys who act like Chad at my school have like 5 of them each)

Owns 6 pairs of those horrid little southern boy pastel shorts in different shades of blue (plus 1 white pair)

Will not wear jeans, ever, the only pants he owns are khakis

All over the shirts that have logos embroidered into the shirt over the chest. 

Definitely gets asked if he’s on the way to golf/ the country club, the joke is that he is, he has to meet his father there after school

Listen, I’m not an Audrey stan, but they did her so dirty in the first movie

She should have been the stereotypical mean girl outfit wise, I mean, mini skirts, all pastels

Owns a pink teddy coat, and a white one, she actually cares about if they get dirty though, takes good care of them

definitely has a collection of tennis skirts, pairs them with sweaters/crewnecks or blouses that have a slight puff to the sleeve

The type of girl to wear rufflely rompers on her birthday every year, pink, white, or baby blue obviously

This account is a Jane should have been cottage core/ fairy core fan page, her outfits were almost there, just not there, she’s literally a fairy but can’t use magic nor did they let her dress like one, I hate it here

Baby girl loves gingham and floral patterns, some of her dresses are a little more to her mother’s taste than hers (her mother bought them) but as long as it’s a pattern she likes she will wear it. 

Cardigans are her best friend, she owns one in multiple shades of pink and blue, plus a white one (all of her clothing fits a pastel pink/blue/white color scheme)

Babydoll dresses her a her favorite style of them (the one I put in the top right corner is what I imagine her birthday dress as) 

People try to mockingly ask if she’s on her way to a tea party/picnic (like they do with Chad and the country club) if the answer isn’t actually yes one of her friends still say yes, no one can be rude to her about it 

She owns a corset (Evie bought it for her, it made her nervous at first but she loves it) 

Owns kitten heels and flats mainly also two pairs of mary janes (in white and blue) 

has one of those little pearl purses that aren’t really useful but they’re cute 

Lonnie

Last but not least, our funky little lesbian (she is, Jay is just her emotional support queer man) Lonnie, she sticks to the teal, blue, and pink color scheme they gave her in movie one

She mainly wears sweats (or athletic clothing) otherwise it’s graphic tees tucked in (many of them are from the men’s section) 

Only wears sneakers, she has places to be but also collects them (also owns 1 pair of pink crocs, Evie tried to burn them)

Carlos and Ben talked her into wearing a collar shirt under a graphic tee once (they bought her a sleeveless button up which she hated at first) and now she does it anytime she wants to look like she put effort into her outfit. 

Wears a lot of necklaces and rings (she loves to layer necklaces, she thinks it makes her sweats look less boring) 

Uses a mini backpack instead of a purse, easier to carry more things.

Has two pairs of custom painted air forces. 

Hates wearing bracelets but always has to have a hair tie on her wrist so they don’t feel empty .

You can beat up anyone as Batman, it's great. I just bought it for Nintendo like 2 months ago bc usually where I live it would cost the equivalent to 50-60 dollars to buy ONE, depending which one and I got all three for 30. I'm only on Arkham Asylum still, but I'm not moving on until I find every single fucking Riddler Trophy. I'd rather die, actually.

The quality of the ass kicking I'm constantly capable of dishing out is 5⭐. The amount violence I can commit guilt free is astronomical. The vibes are fucking depressing and I love it.

Joker can suck my dick, his voice grates on my fucking ears. 5⭐ voice acting from Mark Hamill, I fucking hate to hear it. Joker also has the kind of face here that only his mother could love and even that's questionable even on his most handsome good hair days. I'd pay money to beat him with a fucking crowbar. Y'know, karma.

The Riddler trophies are fucking annoying to find after a while but Wally Wingert should do porn voice overs in my humble opinion. That might just be the echo though. Idk, sounds hot to me.

Harley Quinn is her usual childishly psychotic self, I'm actually loving her getup, very cute, very sexy, would be afraid to meet her on a backstreet after dark. Arleen Sorkin put her whole Harlussy into the voice acting as usual, I'm pretty sure that by now she's actually the default voice of Harley Quinn. Yeah, she voiced her that much.

Fighting Bane and other Venom fucked inmates was very annoying after like, half-time. I found it easy to figure out the rhythm and then it was just a matter of not fucking it up. Got Batman's back broken once though. At this point he's got matching metal spines with Damian.

Killer Crock actually scared the shit out of me when I first caught a glimpse of him bc my dumbass was playing in the dark with headphones in and at max. Steve Blum sounds like a robotic echo of a hippo farting while voicing Croc, but that wasn't his fault. Pretty sure the poor man didn't edit himself and they did him so fucking dirty. The design looks nothing like in the comics and is actually the most ridiculous one in my opinion bc holy fuck do I hate this mutated crackpot of a cheap copy they tried to blind us with.

Animation is on point, especially considering the age of this game. It came out in 2009 if I remember correctly, so it's like 15 years old. Voices are loud and clear, voice acting is very good if you turn temporarily deaf every time the cheap Killer Crock Copy they animated opens his big fucking mouth. Gameplay is actually very engaging and keeps both my undiagnosed ass and my ADHD little brother engaged very well.

Solid 8/10 for me.

my 3 crocs

@grogusmum​ and I were having a comments-section convo about Crocs thanks to the latest chapter of my Dieter fic. For so long I’ve held Crocs as my guilty pleasure. The people in my life are not usually that snobbish, but there’s some Nickleback-like backlash against them around here, so I tend to hide my love of them. I will say I do not really like the traditional clog style, but I kinda love that they’re becoming trendy among thekidsthesedays™ and I secretly love seeing Pedro in them.

As someone with a messed up back but who walks a LOT, Crocs are a dang godsend. But they don’t have to be clogs...

I won’t show you my actual first pair because they’re dirty. And they’re down in the bedroom and SO is asleep. But I remember when my friend Kat learned that they were Crocs. She was both horrified (that I owned Crocs) and impressed (that I’d been wearing them a while and she didn’t realize they were Crocs). Then she begrudgingly gave her blessing, deeming “lady Crocs” acceptable footwear. For me. (NEVER for her. Kat’s a hilarious firebrand and I love her.)

They’re very old and they serve mostly as my garden shoes now.

My next pair of Crocs came during a time that I was looking for sandals and couldn’t find a pair that I liked. I don’t really like to wear shoes that expose my toes (as someone who has had hers run over and knows what it feels like to have a nail come off), but we had an extremely hot and wet summer, so non-leather sandals it had to be.

They are more pink and orange in person, but the lighting is weird in my house.

And finally, the pair I bought last week and am calling my Dieter’s GF Crocs. My massage place is near a Marshalls so I take the opportunity afterward to swing through and see what’s offered. And damn if i didn’t fall for these. I had been thinking about Dieter and wanting another pair of Crocs that covered my toes, but I see that the clogs are mainly what they’re making these days. Well, if Dieter can rock them, then I can too. Then I saw these and heard angels singing because they’re sweet and weird and not the traditional clogs.

So there you have it. Adira is a full supporter of Crocs and will be silent no more. They are awful, but they are comfy. And while they’re probably horrid for the Earth, they do last several times longer than most shoes and I very rarely replace them and have yet to trash a pair, so it’s a tradeoff for me. Ta Da!!!

*I still think the clogs are ugly though but I love that Dieter wears them both ironically and not ironically and I will shake my head at P when he appears in them but also good for him be comfy king you’ve earned it

Need to get back onto my batman rogue design bullshit. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

What I got so far (and subject to change of course):

Cult Leader Scarecrow - Jonathan creates a secret society as a front to experiment on willing participants and it eventually descends into an actual cult based around fear. The cult leader thing is a front at first but enough time huffing the fear toxin and the power of it goes to his head. Got some of that weird religious vibes, base of design has medieval executioner inspo, leaning heavily into the 'violent dancing' aspect and considering it with design as well.

Carnivorous Plant Poison Ivy - Shy Pamela Isley gets coerced into participating in experimentation that drastically changes her biology and gives her a taste for blood. Body becomes an ecosystem which plants can "root" into, her blood having the capabilities to mutate any plant species and turn them toxic, which becomes the basis of her scientific work to assist her ecological goals. This also, unfortunately, leaves her borderline anemic, forcing her to rely on her power over plants and their symbiotic connection. Design has somewhat "couture" vibes via various carnivorous and non carnivorous plants, use of roots to create lace-like look(?) Thick, woody vines for a corset(?) look and to make large "claws" over one or both hands. She's got them POINTY TEETH (Croc is no longer the only cannibal in these here parts).

Formerly White Trash Riddler - Born into poverty to white trash parents, Edward Nashton (later changed to Nigma, fuck you dad!!) learned young that he could not rely on his neglectful mother and to avoid his angry, alcoholic father. He found solace in solving things like puzzles and riddles, which helped him cope with frequent racing thoughts and focus his thinking. They eventually become a compulsion to alleviate stress, but it got bad enough that even seeing things which were half done or incomplete compelled him to try and complete (aka solve) them or otherwise left him frustrated.

Feeling he deserved better, his criminal career started in his teens and escalated from there. He could finally indulge in the expensive tastes he felt entitled to and, of course, bought the best of anything because he was the best. But normal crime got very boring and he wanted to feel challenged more. Thus, the Riddler was born! In his early career as a rogue, he enjoyed targeting corrupt corporations and banks, giving him a rather positive opinion amongst the public. Battling wits with Batman became his main form of enjoyment and, even though losing to him was frustrating, it only drove him to do better. However, at one point he noticed Batman was sending his little lackeys to confront him rather than face him himself. Thoroughly insulted, this began his descent towards a more aggressive path, utilizing hostages and threatening lives to assure the caped crusader couldn't ignore him anymore. He became more prone to fits of anger and violence (he's nothing like his horrible father though, he isn't he isn't) as the losses to Batman started to get to him. Still, even while sliding into the deep end, the image he projected to the public was one of class, refinement, and logic. Far less were savvy to the emotional, sailor-mouthed, painfully insecure man he really was.

Despite the inner turmoil, he looks very put together at all times. Favors three piece suits (and yes, they are extraordinarily expensive).

Near-Constant Identity Crisis Harley Quinn - With her criminal father in prison most of her life and a lazy, uncaring older brother, Harley's mother placed all of her expectations onto her. Thus started a life full of decisions based on what other people wanted or expected of her. Harley got good at reading others and playing the part needed to either help or pacify them, and her perceived skill in this was enough for them to think her suited for the field of mental health, something she took to heart. Years of schooling, an internship at Arkham, and a mental breakdown leads her to become obsessed with the Joker, who gives her the identity of Harley Quinn. She fills the horrible emptiness within her with mindless frivolity and constantly changes her style in a desperate bid to "find herself". At the end of the day, however, the world is a stage and she will happily play whatever part someone needs or wants of her. Just don't ask who she is as a person because she doesn't know. For design, she has a gymnast physique and, while her wardrobe consists mostly of black and red, her choice in fashion is never consistent and often times a chaotic blend of various looks.

Former Yakuza Joker - Although he has many colorful tales of his past, only a few things are certain: he was a part of a yakuza organization in Japan, he was a troublemaker (judging by most of his missing left pinky), and he has genuine memory problems which he compensates for by being completely impulsive and unpredictable. He's really not out to prove anything and most of his schemes are bids to alleviate his boredom and to be a deliberate pain in the ass. Can go from silly jokester to violent psychopath with shocking speed, no doubt a symptom of his very poor memory and an unstable sense of self which comes with it. Gets easily annoyed with Harley but genuinely likes her. Too bad he forgets she exists half of the time. Likes sleazy looking and garish suits, preferably heavy on the colors violet, green, and yellow.

Worked in a Junkyard Mr. Freeze - This is a fresh idea but the concept is most of his teen years were spent working for an uncle at a junkyard before (and maybe during) studying cryogenics and engineering. Eventually leads to him making his Mr. Freeze suit from junkyard salvage (can you tell this plot point was born from a design choice lmao).
