My 4th crossover, Lucina as a Boundary Interface Prime Field Device from the Blazblue series. Here, she goes by Xi-14 or nicknamed Lu(Xi)na and was forged as The Sword of Ryūjin.
Gameplay wise, she would be a close range fighter. Her Drive, Awakening, would let her merge her 'petals' for a set time or til she's hit. They would be stronger than her normal attacks and would cause Fatal Counters.
As a surprise, I was actually creating her custom gameplay sprites to show off her Astral Finish called Future’s End Sword. Unfortunately the furthest I got was storyboarding the sequence and some of the sprite work, but didn’t find a way to work around the parallax effect of the stage and some of the effects when a Astral Finish is activated.

Tubed and Submerged-Fin Cold Plates in Electronics Thermal Management
Many of today’s electronic devices need the performance of liquid cooling to meet the thermal demands of certain hot components. Liquid cold plates are common cooling systems in high power lasers, fuel cells, battery coolers, motor drives, medical equipment, avionics and other high-power, high-heat flux applications.

Cold plates provide localized cooling by transferring heat from a device to a liquid that flows to a remote heat exchanger and dissipates into either the ambient or to another liquid in a secondary cooling system. Component heat flows by conduction through a thermal interface material and the metal plate to the metal tubing. Then it flows by convection from the internal surface of the fluid path material into the flowing coolant.

A cold plate in electronics cooling is often an aluminum block with an embedded, coolant-filled metal tube. Another common cold plate type is made with metal shells that are brazed or friction-welded together and filled with a liquid coolant.  On the inside, the metal shells have integral cooling fins that are submerged in the coolant.
Tubed Cold Plates
Embedded tube designs are the simplest version of cold plate cooling devices. They feature a continuous tube set into grooves in a metal plate, and are often bonded in place with thermal epoxy. The flowing coolant moves heat from the component away from the cold plate to a heat exchanger, where it is cooled before being pumped back into the plate.
A common example of a tubed cold plate features an aluminum plate with an exposed copper tube. The tubes can be routed in different pathways to optimize the thermal performance.
The tubing can be continuous or constructed from straight tubes connected by soldered joints, though joints may increase the potential for leakage.

This design can provide a cost-effective thermal solution for component cooling where the heat load is low-to-moderate. Tubed cold plates ensure minimum thermal resistance between the power device and the cold plate by placing the coolant tube in direct contact with the power device’s base. Direct contact reduces the number of thermal interfaces between device and fluid, thus increasing performance for the application.
A variant of this design features a thermal epoxy completely applied over the pressed in tubing and flush with the metal plate surface. These are sometimes called buried tube liquid cold plates. This provides a gap-free thermal interface between the tube and the plate. The epoxy layer protects from any leakage from the metal tube. Another key feature is that that fully buried tube is not exposed to the outside environment.

The choice of liquid coolant affects thermal performance as well. Choosing the right coolant depends to a great extent on the tube material. Copper tubes are compatible with water and most other common coolants, while stainless steel tubes can be used with deionized water or corrosive fluids.
One cold plate OEM offers a proprietary technology with a tube locking system and pressing techniques that ensure the tube is flush with the plate surface, providing good thermal contact with the component being cooled. This manufacturing method eliminates the need for thermal epoxy between the tube and plate which improves thermal performance. [4]
Submerged Fin Cold Plates
Another type of cold plate is an all-metal construction with brazed or friction welded internal fin field.

The integral, internal fins increase the surface area that contacts the fluid and enhances heat transfer. Fin shape and fin density affect the performance of heat exchangers and cold plates. By their geometry, the fins also create turbulence, which minimizes the fluid boundary layer and further reduces thermal resistance.
One high-performance version features tightly packed aluminum pin fins that create turbulence with low flow rate values, resulting in high thermal performance with low pressure drop. In this design, the high density of the internal fins increases the heat transfer area without adding bulk to the cold plate assembly. [6]

In most high-performance applications, fins are made of copper or aluminum. Aluminum fins are preferred in aircraft electronic liquid cooling applications due to their lighter weight. Copper fins are mostly used in applications where weight is not an important factor, but compatibility with other cooling loop materials is.
For submerged-fin cold plates, many different fin geometries can be tested to find the best improvement in performance. Some of the most commonly used are louvered, lanced offset, straight, and wavy fins.

With cooling requirements increasing in many areas of electronics, engineers are turning to liquid cooling to replace air cooling. Lower cost, safer liquid cooling systems have also spurred the trend to liquid cooling.
The prime example is the cold plate – relatively simple in design, affordable, available in alternative versions, and extremely customizable. Cold plates should be considered wherever thermal performance above air cooling is needed.

Biofilms: A Comprehension of Microbial Chemical Ecology-JuniperPublishers

                             Abstract
Biofilms present a beautiful example of Microbial Ecology Evidences from the past glorious history of Microbiology has established it in the field of science. Many aspects of biofilms include the chemical ecological characters, including the hydrodynamics of the surface- microbial interaction. Apart from this, many other important community characters exist in biofilms.

Short Communication
With the discovery of the first microbial life form, credited to van Leeuwenhoek, who studied and concluded the existence of surface attached microorganisms on the tooth slime layer, it was in the later phase of microbiological advances that this slime layer, which was an altogether distinct phenotypic character, was coined the term, biofilms. Future research by Heukelekian and Heller [1], along with Zobell [2], established the phenomenon of surface kinetics in the exponential growth of the microbial life forms. Observations clearly reflected the substantially positive effect on the growth rate of the bacteria. The biofilms were not only tough in their composition, but also resistant to disinfectants and surfactants, as observed by Characklis [3], in his study on the microbial slimes as a result of waste water and industrial effluents. Initial studies on the ecological aspects of biofilms, started when Costerton and his team [4] propounded a theory of adherence of the microorganisms to various living and non-living surfaces and the benefits which the obtained from this micro - niche. From that time to the current scenario, last four decades have seen revolutionary changes in the various aspects of biofilm studies. The sophisticated Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) technique, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), technique and microbiological and serological have elevated the level of characterization studies.
Biofilms: Population Dynamics
Scientifically a biofilm can be considered as an assemblage of microbial cells which is covered by a mucilaginous protective matrix which is composed of polysaccharide material. Apart from this, this matrix has an irreversible adhesion with the surface, i.e. it is not easy to remove by gentle physical removal methods. The nature of bio film depends a lot on its place of origin. As such, those originating in an aqueous system are known to be much complex than those produced on a solitary medical aperture, device or catheter. Complexity not only lies in the cellularity but also in the Extracellular Polymeric Substance (EPS) or polysaccharide matrix composition as well as other colony characters.
Surface characterization studies have always been a prime concern with respect to biofilms. Characklis and his team [5], concluded that microbial colonization gets aggravated with an increase in roughness as comparison to even surfaces. This attributes to increase in the surface area and decrease in the shear forces. The rate of film formation also gets affected by the surface physico-chemical properties. The extent and time period for initiation of the biofilm in an aqueous medium interacting with the surface substrate, depends upon the conditioning of the polymers of the medium to the substrate surface. Reports on the conditioned biofilm formation were proposed by Loeb and Neihof [6]. Another factor which affects the hydrodynamics of the chemical interaction between the microbial cells and the substrate surface is surface energy of the suspending medium [7]. Theoretically, hydrodynamic boundary exists, when any liquid flows on a substrate. The liquid which is in immediate contact with the substrate or the interface has a negligible flow velocity. This interface is termed as Hydrodynamic boundary layer. Above this layer, the region of turbulence exists, thus, affecting the cell- surface interactions. The cells behave as particles, the rate of settlement of which depends greatly on the velocity characteristics of the suspended medium [8]. Apart from, the rate of flow of the suspension also marks the nutrient uptake and polymerization required for biofilm formation [9].
Architectural studies on the nature and structure of biofilms proves it to be a misnomer that, it is a homogenous polymer coated or conditioned colony of single type of cells. Rather, its heterogeneous nature, is gets more established evidences in form of micro channels present in between two or more micro colonies in an EPS matrix [10]. Moreover, the thickness of the EPS matrix is dependent upon the number of component microorganisms, such as separate in vitro biofilms of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were thinner than the combined form [11].
The Community Characteristics of Biofilm Ecology
The biofilm micro colonies ideally fit into the ecological phenomenon of community with its own set of community characters or community dynamics. This system is an abode with ideal environment supporting transfer of genes and characters, creating a nutrient gradient, and setup of cellular interaction machinery known as quorum sensing [8]. Extra chromosomal gene transfer through conjugation is a common phenomenon in biofilms and occurs with much efficiency and a fast pace [12]. Apart from this, evidences have been given in favour of quorum sensing mediated transformation [13], which is also much quicker as compared to planktonic cells. Other important community characteristics include interaction with other microorganisms, dispersive nature, much more adapted to the environment, leading to stability in their structure.
Conclusion
The biofilms have been of great concern with respect to clinical perspectives. They have to found in direct association with diseases like Cystic fibrosis, native valve endocarditis, otitis media, periodontitis, etc., where biofilm- associated microbes have been reported. Further, broad ranges of indwelling medical devices have proved to provide a suitable environment for bio film formation.

could you explain the difference between prime field devices and murakumos? i was under the impression they were one and the same. as a followup could you explain what the deal with the origin is? like why does she look like saya, and therefore murakumos 11-13?
Prime Fields are lifeforms designed to enter the Boundary. There are 13 of them, from Alpha-1 to Nu-13. They’re not the same as a Murakumo Unit, of which there is only two - Kiiro Hikagami and Nu. Kiiro really hasn’t been explained too much so I won’t talk about her, and Nu uses the Lux Sanctus: Murakumo Nox, which is why she’s called that.
Lambda is a Murakumo Unit imitation thanks to Kokonoe’s upgrades, and Mu is a Kusanagi.
The Origin was the first Prime Field to go into the Boundary. She made contact with the Amaterasu Unit, and became an Eye of the Azure - she became an Observer, had gained a soul, and could create phenomenon interventions; basically, she was a God to humanity. Anyway, humanity didn’t like this, they got scared and started the Prime Field War. After The Origin recreated the world, each Prime Field would have a little part of The Origin’s soul within them. 
Anyway, one of these Prime Fields, known only as Number 5 (she’s not called Epsilon-5 in the game so I’m not calling her that), not only had a piece of The Origin’s soul, but she was also based off of a woman who could infinitely amplify seithr, but this woman was killed by her brother (it’s hinted, but not confirmed, that this woman was Saya Terumi). Ragna, Jin, and Saya are all her “children”, but she was killed by Jubei a while ago. Saya inherited her ability to be able to amplify seithr, and also had a part of The Origin’s soul.
Lambda, Nu, and Mu were all based off of Saya. Lambda and Nu, despite having parts of The Origin’s soul, eventually became their own individuals. Mu had the largest part of The Origin’s soul because of the energy from the massive blast from Take-Mikazuchi. This part of the soul is basically Noel.
As to why Saya looks so similar to The Origin? Well, that’s not explained, but it’s possibly because of the methods used to create her mother, Number 5, but Relius stated that he didn’t know how it was done. So right now it’s a mystery, so I hope the unnecessarily complicated lowdown on The Origin is enough for now.

Lambda-11 was added to BBDW as a limited 5⭐ character on November 11th- which fits quite nicely, doesn't it??? As with several of the characters added later into the game's run, she was only given two costumes. She was still granted three story sprites, with her 02 sprite depicting her in full Murakumo battle armor, and an additional 04 sprite showing her in the same outfit but without the petals blades.
This means that while most characters in the files have their assets end in 00, 01, and 02, Lambda's end in 01, 02, 04. It seems a little strange, doesn't it??? Unfortunately, we'll probably never learn why this was done.

Her usual combat outfit, as seen in the C-series fighting games, was her default form upon summoning, though it was labeled as her final outfit in the game's files. Her art was also drawn by Yuuki Kato, a pretty prolific BlazBlue artist who also did the character select artwork in Central Fiction and Continuum Shift!

Though I'm not entirely sure, her card art seems to depict her death from the climax of Continuum Shift, while she and Nu were merged.
If she had been given a third costume, I wonder what it would have been... I'd like to see a full outfit version of this Mori sketch, personally!
