Next gen x boxlietner's return

Hey fell asleep so haven't really doodles much. But imma explain A bot of how the boxliener's return au would work in my next gen verse. First off somethings would be different. Not the main plot very much. E.i. alien invasion, evil amazo guy, villains banning together to save fair city,wordgirl being poisoned with lexiconite. Since I'm adopting this au into mines (aka au within an au) I figured amazo guy would return sometime after Steven gets infused from squeaky and the next gen kiddos are born.

So all of them are there watching fair city turn into havoc. They manage to Evade being captured and hide out at word girl's secret hideout. Upset and scared they decide to find any more refugees and possibly their parents. Liam, rhea, (not counting wordgirl right now bc she's currently affected by the lexiconite) amazo lad has a better chance at Standing up to amazo guy. but at the end of the day they are still kids just trying to figure what they haystack is going on, where their parents are and  why the town's former hero is evil. So yea alot of responsibility on their shoulders now. 

Chase has the worst of it though. All this time he looked up to his fathrr, stroved to be as heroic as him and then years later hey he's back! But oh no he's evil. Makes the boy question alot. Has his father always been this way all along? What did that mean for chase??? He has NO clue where his dad is. Nor his mom, or his sister becky. He managed to find Blu only because Carrie hid her when the invasion started. Where she's at now well  -shrugs-

I recall @ninjastormhawkkat saying that amazo would try to turn chase on his side. Seeing how both of them were seemingly 'replaced' geez that is angsty...  Reasons why you guys should talk things out instead of assuming. Truth of it all (not surprisingly), Steven never intended to replace amazo. (Nor teressa, or chase)  he still very Much loved him when he disappeared. He never forgot him. every day he in hopes of amazo showing up alive and well. However since he harmed one of his kids....well  that just complicate things :,)

"It was supposed to be me... please, no, [name], please..."

Today was supposed to be the start of something new. Something that Professor Boxleitner had been looking forward to doing since he got that idea in his mind. Peering into the rodent intellect. He was going to make a huge change with this new invention of his. The scientist couldn't help but feel excited for this. Until the scent of pastrami filled the air. His stomach growled as he sniffed. Professor Boxleitner jokingly spoke out loud to himself. “Hey, make sure that no one presses the holy cow don't press this button button!” Squeaky had been looking grouchy until the scientist left the room for his sandwich. The rodent had the most sinister look as he quickly rushed over to the button. The moment he touched the button, Professor Boxleitner had returned to the lab with the food. He had a look of regret. “Oh, this is going to sting.” He braced himself for the inevitable pain. “Dad! No!” Within the blink of an eye, the scientist was pushed out of the way, the mind reading device had been removed from his head. There was a blood curdling scream that chilled Professor Boxleitner to the bone. He stared at the sight before him. His daughter had not been so lucky and didn't have the time to release the device. Wordgirl was now lying motionless on the floor. Hair having turned white, now having rodent features. Professor Boxleitner felt his blood run cold once he saw the second brain attached to the young girl's head. “No…no! No no no! Becky! Oh my starlight, I'm so sorry!” He quickly scooped her up within his arms. Tears flowing from his eyes. “It was supposed to be me. I'm so sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry my little girl!” He cradled her, not wanting to move the girl just yet in case she had other injuries. Wordgirl was barely conscious, looking up at her father. Holding up a hand as much as she could, trying to comfort him. “Save your energy, please.” He quickly placed her arm back down. His heart ached when he noticed where her gloves burnt away. Burn marks covered where she held the mind reading device. “This is all my fault, I'm so sorry.” Guilt filled him. His careless mistake had resulted in such serious consequences. What was worse is that he wasn't the one to suffer from it but his daughter. She had taken his place when saving him. It could've been prevented if he had just paid closer attention. The scientist had no idea when his assistant had finally arrived but he had found Professor Boxleitner with Wordgirl in his arms. Crying incoherently. “Professor Boxleitner! Sir! What happened!” He rushed over to his employer, a worried expression on his face. It haunted Jenkins to see his boss looking so…broken. They looked after her when Professor Boxleitner finally let himself calm down. Treating Wordgirls wounds. What they didn't expect was for Steven's heart to break even more the next day. Upon waking up, his daughter had immediately gone missing. His heart sank when news spread of a new cheese stealing villain. To his horror, it was indeed his daughter. Steven had driven to the store she was currently robbing at a terrifying speed. It left Jenkins shaken by the time they got out. “Wordgirl! Please stop! You can fight this!” She gave him such a strange look. Staring at him in silence for a moment before speaking up. “I don't know who this Wordgirl is but I'm Mousebraingirl thank you very much.” She doesn't remember who she was? What had he done to her? What kind of father was he? Allowing his daughter to put herself in danger to keep him safe. He couldn't help but feel immense guilt and shame. “Why are you crying?” Steven hadn't realized he had started crying once more. “I'll buy you cheese, please stop this. I'll get you as much cheese as you want.” Mouse considered it over. “Fine but I get to pick as much cheese as I want. No taking it back.” Steven nodded, wiping away his tears. He just took away the city's hero. What could he do to rectify this? Sherbet genuinely didn't know what to do. Steven couldn't just take up the mantle himself. He didn't have the powers to do so. Nor did he trust in his own inventions now.

Info on the Horror AU

A while back, I made a post announcing that I was creating a WG Horror AU, and I have returned with some information on it! As I mentioned in the original post, yes, my OCs WILL be included.

My first thought for Twobrains was: make him act like a drug addict. Make him rob people to buy more cheese. Make him even get desperate and turn people into cheese, which, yes, does kill them instantly. At least it's quick and painless. Fuck it, he has a little gallery of his favorite cheese people.

The Butcher... is a cannibal. His name straight up already sounds like a serial killer. Wasn't that hard to come up with this fact. He's... just a cannibal. Who... prepares humans for eating. I... don't know what else you want me to say.

Chuck crushes people to death and makes sandwiches out of them. But he's delusional and doesn't even realize he's murdering people. He thinks he's just making normal sandwiches.

NOW ONTO MY OCS:

You know how Silver wears that handband with mouse ears on it? Fun fact, she intentionally covers her actual ears with her hair to make it look like those are her real ears, but canon Silver knows they ain't real. Well, Horror Silver is just blatantly fucking delusional and thinks that well, if her Dad got turned into an evil half-rat person, then she did too, and is fully convinced those are part of her body, and that she's also half mouse now like him.

Cori, in the Horror AU, is still Silver's best friend and sidekick. But, I need to explain something about canon Cori real quick: one of the reasons she became a villain was because she knew she could get away with it. Her parents are so neglectful that they won't give a shit. So, in the Horror AU, once, whilst on a crime spree with her delusional bestie, Silver Boxleitner, Cori accidentally killed someone. She kind of freaked out, but then realized... nobody cared. Her parents didn't. Silver even applauded her. So... why not keep murdering people? Just for funsies?

Okay um... really don't have a lot for Horror Alynxai yet. Other than, well... you know those horns of hers? Yeah, she totally uses those to gore people. For this reason, the tips are frequently coated in dried blood.

Yeah, folks, that's it. I will eventually return with more updates on the WordGirl Horror AU.

And by the way, feel free to make fanart of it! Not much lore is set in stone yet, so I'd wait on any fanfiction, but yeah! Fanart, go right ahead! You got any ideas, feel free to tell me!

Becky woke up the next morning leaning against the window with her cape wrapped around her like a blanket. She noticed that while she still felt like she was drowning in oil, it wasn’t as bad as yesterday.

She looked behind her at the doctor, who had seemingly taken her spot on the couch, still fast asleep and snoring in an incredibly undignified manner. She wondered for a second if he was doing it to annoy her, but she quickly put out that thought.

He was her best bet at getting back home and getting back her powers, she had to play nice. Besides he was probably really stressed out too, if that mouse brain was even capable of any emotion besides hunger. 

Home, back to her family, back to her sidekick. She’d been worried sick about him ever since she woke up. When they were knocked out midair Huggy had been thrown in the opposite direction that she had, there was no telling what happened to him. 

She comforted herself by imagining that he got all their family and friends and hid away, perhaps a secret bunker or something. She giggled to herself as the image of her family blissfully misunderstanding a frantic Bob trying to tell them to run with some sort of monkey charades.

Her fantasy was short lived however, because when she looked back out the big window she saw two familiar shapes, creeping hauntingly behind one of the dead trees that littered the warehouse’s lawn. Joy overtook her, her friends had come to save her! Now they could- oh, oh no. She recognized those swirling red eyes. 

Mind control.

It wasn't because Mr. Big, his whole schtick generally had a green hue. This was something brand new.

That new alien super villain got to them. 

Letting her instincts take over, Becky dove down out of sight from the window. She whisper-yelled at Twobrains to wake up.

“Hey!”

“...”

“HEY”

“Agh! What- what is your problem! Will you stop waking me u-”

She pointed aggressively outside

He followed her finger and froze. She grabbed him by the collar and with some effort managed to pull him to the ground below the window sill with her. She had to take a moment to catch her breath, frustration overtook her as she realized that an action as simple as that was now enough to wind her a bit.

Twobrains’ eyes flickered with anxiety as she tried to even out her breathing, but he shook his head and looked out the window.

“They’re looking for me. They have to be.”

“Oh come on, give me a little credit. I’m sure Amazo is just dying to catch up with me”

“What could he possibly- wait. Amazo Guy? Like- Like in your book?”

“Yeah. Did you seriously not recognize him?”

“No! I mean- he looked familiar, but I thought he- the book guy- was fictional!”

“You think I just made up some dude to feature on the cover of my book? What kind of scientist do you take me for!” “So wait. This was an actual dude that you knew. And now you’re both evil?” 

“Well we don’t know if he’s evil evil-”

“I cannot believe you never mentioned him before!”

“I had! In my book! Which apparently you hadn’t read as thoroughly as you said you had!”

“Yes I did!”

 “Appaaarently not. I’m hurt, Wordgirl, I am.”

“I did so! I read your book so much, I can recite any passage from it, just try me.”

“You expect me to believe you’re that much of a fan?”

“Yes! I am a huge fan! The biggest fan in the world actually!”

Becky crossed her arms with a smug expression before her eyes shot open and she realized what she said. Twobrains was holding back a laugh behind his hand. “Yeah? Yeah really? Yeah tell me how much you love me. I’m your favorite author right?”

Becky’s face went red as she proceeded to sock him in the arm. He flinched in pain despite the lack of super strength.

“Shut up. So you got one hit, big whoop.”

Twobrains patted her shoulder with another laugh. Both of their faces fell and they instantly crowded back against the wall as they heard a twig snap outside.

“Now how are we gonna get out of this?” 

They sat there for a moment before Becky got a sheepish look on her face.

“Well… we could always try plan 208…”

Twobrains groaned. “Is that really the best we got?”

Becky sighed “I think it is doc. Now let's not dilly-dally, we have to get out of here as soon as possible.”

“You did not just say ‘dilly-dally’”

“Would you just get on with it!”

btw i think i might make the next chapter shorter on that one... hmm.... i've started to not like the idea of a "canon" fanon timeline that i always have to stick to. i like general plot points like "they meet bc steven is in danger", "they get into trouble together and take turns saving each other", and "adam is pulled away from earth for what ends up being a long time and steven looses himself too along the way" bc i like to think of many ways of things xD i want to give them everything !!! all of the stories <3

idk i like the idea that i can do whatavar.... it might help me write more one shot kind of things! long fics are just so hard to keep track of lol. i cant even explain all the adam and steven life episodes that exist in my head that i make up before going to sleep LOL i would love to write those down or maybe even draw them :3

No thoughts just chase RN dealing with his father in the boxleitner return au. Highly doubt Amazon would care for his son (maybe?? Who knows-) 😥

TW: Manipulation of a Child, bigotry of species, brief mention of a parent telling their child they wish they were never born.

This is a very difficult thing to imagine. It is easy to pretend that Amazo Guy never cared about his son ex. telling Chase he was a mistake that only happened mainly because of Steven's recklessness, but picture this; Amazo Guy trying to convince Chase to join him. He tries to convince Chase he is doing the right thing by punishing humanity this way, that they deserve it. He apologizes for leaving Chase alone and actually sounds genuine in his apology. He admits to Chase how his people have issues with hybrids, but if Chase joins his side and works hard to prove himself, then he is sure that Amazo's people would accept him as their own. Amazo Guy could also convince that Steven replaced Chase with Wordgirl like he did with him. Putting my half human/half alien headcanon into this angsty mess, Amazo Guy would try to convince Chase that Steven moved on from them too quickly with meeting Teresa and getting her pregnant with Becky only about 2 years after he was born. He would accuse Steven of having favoritism towards Wordgirl since he took Becky out of the city with him while everything was going down and left Chase behind. For how Amazo could find out, his species could monitor the past decade of other visitors coming and going and somehow analyze Becky's DNA to find Steven's contribution.

Either way you want this to go @melodythebunny, both are angst ridden and poor Chase is torn emotionally either way on what the right thing is for him to do here.
