2017

-On May 21, 2017, BTS won the Billboard award for Top Social Artist, beating out Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, and Shawn Mendes. Beiber and Grande at that time were both signed to Scooter Braun’s agency. Everyone took notice.

Except Justin that is, lol.

I have to sigh here, the author of this article can’t even be bothered to include each member’s name. Just a general Scooter says “they’re great”. Because he couldn’t care less? He had his wonder boy Justin, and potentially a whole new generation of talented people to work with should the need arise in the future. I believe the members of BTS individually or as a group weren’t his priority at the time. I remember that period when fans were asking if a collaboration with Justin Bieber would be possible in the future. BTS handled these questions very delicately.

Everything I have ever read about Scooter, I don’t respect him enough to write his proper name, is that he puts himself first. Previous clients do not speak highly of his management. Taylor Swift for example.

Interesting fact, Taylor Swift, Halsey (Boy with Luv collaboration with BTS) and Camilla Cabello (Shawn Mendes is her ex) gave a great performance of “Shake it off” at the American Music Awards in Nov 2019.

Perhaps when Justin’s health issues became too grave to hide from the public or Justin himself refused to be held to his contract, (and perhaps Justin sold his catalog to cover his costs/penalties of canceling his tour) Scooter had an empty sandbox with no one to play with.

And, having lost his main source of income and having a keen head for business, (vulture capitalist) he had already set his sights on a new revenue stream. Of the seven BTS members, one in particular had released songs by Justin Bieber, proving he had what it took to be successful in the western market.

Jungkook has been a Bieber fan since he debuted with BTS. He ticks all the boxes needed for the western market, doesn’t he? Masculine build, tattoos, piercings, outstanding vocal ability and dance skills/technique and is a member of the greatest musical group in history?

No wonder Scooter went to the White House with BTS. Had to be sure to be there at the Grammys too. Front and center as though he was responsible for their success.

Well thank goodness for BTS. In 2022, their PTD tour earned:

Which brings us back to Jeon Jungkook, Bieber admirer, a man who most definitely fits the “western audience appeal”, possessing talent beyond what we in the west have seen in many years.

And then there’s his equally talented, gifted dancer “Bro” Jimin who broke all the records right before him but does not bow down to those who whisper behind his back, lol.

And by coincidence, their music videos, promotional materials for their solo albums and many of their conversations seem to hinting at something 😉

Oh Scooter, it isn’t fun when someone beats you at your own game, is it?

I firmly believe the budget allowed for BTS’s chapter 2 “solo period” was capped due HYBE’s financial acquisitions at the same time.

I commend the effort you've put into this ask and I can tell you're trying to build a case for your theory(-ies), but I'm not sure what exactly that theory is.

Is it that Scooter is broke and HYBE shifted financial resources from BTS to support him and their SM acquisition? Didn't HYBE tap capital markets precisely to raise proceeds for that purpose though? Or is it that Scooter is looking for a windfall in BTS now that his old roster of artists have abandoned ship?

But then, what is the implication here?

Is it that Jimin wasn't willing to play Scooter's balls like JK did apparently? But he had no issues accepting the Fast & Furious gig? And if so, what's the takeaway here? How does this tie in to the similarities in their concept pics styling, etc, so far?

You've already put quite some effort into building out this timeline so I hate to ask you to do more work, but I'm afraid the dots aren't quite connecting for me just yet. If you'd like to send me a follow up ask succinctly explaining what you mean, I'd appreciate it. Otherwise, all I can say is this looks like a variation of the same fan theories I've seen people come up with to explain Jimin's solo rollout relative to Jungkook's. The fact there's so much discourse around it indicates something else to me, but I'll let the dead horse be.

Dragging is really not why I'm here but send me any absolutely moronic cases of taekookers freaking out and we'll see.

My issue with taekookers though, is that rather than being silly and idiotic, more times than not they're being extremely, graphically abusive to Jimin, so the only thing it makes sense to do is compulsively report them in the hopes their accounts are at least restricted for a time. Engaging with it to drag them is the last thing to do. (1) Because these people are sociopathic and get off on conflict anyway; (2) Because drawing attention to it only makes it more attractive for more vicious antis from rival fandoms to blow it up for the wider k-pop fandom who already hates him by his association to BTS.

Dragging them yields no satisfaction for me also because their target is Jimin, so many times they have to invent things about him out of thin air that are so ridiculous nobody with all synapses firing upstairs can take them seriously. What's the point of stating the painfully obvious to people who have a humiliation kink?

So, yeah. Apparently I'm too tough on Jimin, Jimin-biases, PJMs, jikookers, and should give some of that energy to taekookers. I'm certain they've all blocked me after that one post I did on Vmin lol, so I simply don't see their nonsense on my dash as much as I did some time back. limochi first kiss?

ooh gosh,,..the pressure...,,...ill jus talk about one beta version that i keep thinking about,,,,,

- so this definitely happens during the main story, most likely post-timeskip because im 100% taffy is there too and also on their side

- its also a mermaid episode because theyre called sirens for a reason

- but anyway, it happens in the middle of a fight with the mermaids. why are they fighting?? i dont know. the witches and mermaids hate each other. its just one of those fights.

- but the mermaids specialize in a siren spell thats capable of entrancing/hypnotizing males (has no effect on females), and it CAN be broken other ways, but in the middle of a fight the fastest way is a kiss

- and the spell becomes a huge problem because 1) 3/5 guild members are boys, and without them only coco is really equipped for any combat next to water, and 2) these boys will be drowned if theyre lured deep enough into the water

- and when mochi tells coco how to break the spell, cocos is like “Oh, no problem!” and she just grabs taffys collar and JUST KISSES HIM, and then DOES THE SAME TO OSCAR!!!!! (and theyre both broken out of it but also like “?!???!????/////?!?/?!/” taffy is not okay.)

- and coco shouts over to mochi something to the effect of “Now go take care of lime!” and mochi like. clamps up. her face is all red. shes panicking about stupid things in the middle of a huge problem. arguing back like “me??! with lime?? right now?!”

- and coco turns into the bad cop mom friend YELLING scoldings at mochi like “THIS ISNT THE TIME TO GET SHY WHATS WRONG WITH YOU” while mochi yells back about how theres gotta be another way or something

- and coco is like, “Damn it, mochi! if you dont get over there and kiss that boy IM GONNA DO IT and NO ONE WILL ENJOY THAT-” which mochi follows up with a frustrated and embarrassed “FINE!!” as she stomps over angrily to lime, (who, by the way, is being lured into the dark water with each passing moment )

- so mochi grabs him by the front of his jacket, and forces him to turn his head to her, and she mutters out a quiet “This is not how i wanted this to go.” and the next moment she pulls him down and props herself on her tip-toes and kisses him.

- the spell breaks and he regains consciousness as soon as her lips meet his, but the kiss lingers. for lime its one of those “for a moment i had no idea whats going on, but the love of my life is kissing me so ive lost all ability to think or reason why,” and he enjoys it. a lot.

- his hands fall on her waist and he leans into the kiss. squeezes her up against him. his lips follow hers when she pulls away. she broke the spells but now hes dazed for another reason. he unconsciously mutters out a soft “Oh...wow...” and theres hunger dripping in his tone.

- he tries to lean in to kiss her again, but theyre actually reminded that they are, in fact, in the middle of a fight, when some projectile almost whacks them in the head

- the fight ends up okay. mochi and lime. are not ok

- catch lime sitting on the floor outside the beach house where theyre staying for the episode, leaning against the wall, trying not to think about it but failing horribly. horny energy

- the Awkward Interactions(tm) that follow, complete with accidentally brushing each other resulting in frantic, loud, and embarrassingly overt apologies, making eye contact for .2 seconds and whipping their heads the other way, fidgeting, barely talking, and coco just eating popcorn in the back giggling evilly

- (taffy and oscar were also Not Okay(tm). coco was fine. shes was just “what bro its just a kiss lmfao” and taffys trying not to just. implode.) 

- mochi keeps thinking about the way he kissed her back. the way his hands clutched at the fabric of her sweater. what he muttered afterward. she kinda wants to talk about it to clear the air but theres nothing to say.

- i dont know how this episode ends i just know this probably happens

AA YEAH IM GONNA TALK ABT IT A LIL CUZ I THINK ABOUT IT A LOT FOR THE SOFT DOMESTIC CONTENT 🥺💗

- its set in the inuyasha/princess mononoke type of world where supernatural/monsters are just normal and society has different infrastructure to deal with it

- mochi (because shes a magical girl in almost every au she cannot change this) is like the healer/magic lady/potion maker for their small-medium sized village in the middle of the mountains. her family is known for their potent magic abilities

- lime is part of a prestigious family his grandfather was someone great, like a military general or something, high honor. he works for the monster control/missionary guild centered in the town. theyre fairly to very famous and are very efficient. 

- they were friends as lil kids. just used to run around the village and play with sticks and shit. lime left the village around age 8 to go train for the guild somewhere far off. he worked for a few different guilds but didnt come back to work for the one in the village until he was 18-19

- also i was too lazy to designs outfits and shit but i always see limes guild uniform as like the dread fighter from fire emblem awakening and mochi as the shrine maiden from fates

- as soon as he came back, his family is like “oh good!! we arranged you a marriage to carry on the family name!!! we need a heir!!” and hes like “WHAT?!”

- he was super pissed. because its been like 2 days since hes been back and his family is already throwing this on him, and he has little power to fight them on it. 

- hes just sitting outside on the porch watching the rain all mad and depressed cuz 1) hes not ready to get married, and 2) he wouldve wanted to marry someone he loved but hey, cant do anything about it now. the ceremony is like, tomorrow.

- anyway hes waiting at the ceremony the next day, still mad, nervous, just hoping they picked him someone whose at least cute or something and not some old lady

- its mochi. all dressed in the ceremony dress + makeup. and it takes his mind a moment to register that its her. he recognizes her, but he almost cant believe its ACTUALLY her because she. looks so beautiful. and grown up.

- and the minute she sees HIM shes in shock because she didnt even know he was back. and they cant speak to (and can barely look at) each other because of the ceremony ritual hoo ha

- #nervous

-  next thing they know their families are shoving them into their new house thats all set up for them, complete with only one bed, with a “Go make us some heirs!” or sometHING LIKE THAT AND THEYRE BOTH SHAKEN LIKE PLS STOP

- its so awkward. they touch accidentally and jump to opposite sides of the room. theyre able to talk a little small talk but it wont hold up. mochi says something like “I didnt know you were back-” and lime, an awkward, just says “yeah i am” “i know”

- lime is nice about the whole marriage thing though. he was mad at first but now that his wife is someone he (kinda) knows and shes actually really sweet and pretty hes like ok i can handle this i think

- i think i talked about it in that old post but mochi is 10000% not ready to have sex with him yet. shes so shaky and nervous about it, but she wants to be a good wife and not disappoint him so she tries to force herself to be okay with it

- but he can kinda tell she doesnt want to. hes nice about it. he just tells her they dont have to do that now, it can wait, lets just take it slow for now and lie to our families about it. (and that was the first instance of her starting to fall for him right off the bat)

- ANYWAY THE AU IS JUST THEM BEING AWKWARD AND CUTE AND DOMESTIC!!!!! theyre forced intimate relationship at first turns more into friendship of camaraderie of “our families just forced us into this but neither of us are ready or willing to do this yet so lets just be roomates and operate like that”

- so they do!!! lime buys another bed so they dont have to share one. he cant cook so half the nights mochi cooks and the other half they eat out. they split the house chores and just come home and gossip about their days pretty much and slowly become more comfortable with each other. 

- and then they actually start falling in love with each other. little things like lime grabbing high stuff off shelves for her when they clean the house, or when lime comes home all busted up from work and mochi takes some time to wrap his injuries, falling asleep together outside watching the fireflies in the summer, laughing over dumb shit over dinner

- lime has to leave super early at like 6am sometimes. he always goes to mochi while shes sleeping, softly nudges her a little bit to let her know hes leaving and she gives him a cute smile and a sleepy “have a good day!”

- soft nudges turn into soft forehead kisses and petting of hair locks. she starts falling asleep in his bed and he sleeps 10000x better with her in his arms. 

-(anyway its just 90% lots of cute domestic shit. maybe some drama of regional district lord sulluvan trying to steal her for her magic abilities. stupid domestic adventures)

i talked a lil bit about him here, but heres some more!!!

- as per usual for the mood boards…his favorite oreos are………………………the mystery flavor oreos LOL

- he’s almost always smiling/grinning!! only times he’s not is when his wares spoil and/or he somehow got ripped off or lost some money

- a total con man. he will try to market his unfavorable goods to you. do not listen. just buy what you went there to buy and leave before you gets you to spend more than what you want

- this is why the merchant doesn’t have many friends (if any at all) and also why no one really challenges his prices. they just wanna buy shit and LEAVE before he tries to sell them. like. some pencils or something

- mochi and lime are one of the few guilds that actually take some time to talk to him/give him a hard time. he both loves and hates them for it

- has a policy of no fighting near his shop. sometimes two witches will end up going to him at the same time. the merchant’s shop is a neutral zone and all scuffles will be done at least 20 miles from his present location

- surprisingly, he doesn’t seem to mind being a loner. he’s just enjoying his life. he doesn’t even have a lil friend to keep him company. he’s just riffin

- mochis offered to summon a little flame wisp for him as a little friend, but he refused. guess he just likes his alone time

- doesn’t seem to have a home either. when he’s not found wandering with his backpack or setting up shop in some town, he's just camping out by some fire in the wilderness. 

- animals don’t seem to mind him

- easy to run into at random, but if you go looking for him, its almost impossible to find him. why? no one knows. just stop looking and he’ll pop up soon.

- also a regular at the underground fighting ring/goods market, where there are plenty other shady salesmen selling their wares. sometimes you can get unique stuff down there, but the merchant prides himself on having the highest quality goods

- i think……he might have a scarier, unhinged form. for when someone steals his backpack. still working on the beta but he., definitely changes form. to some degree.

- i WANT to say hes a pun master because he gives off that vibe, but doing so would require ME to make the puns so lets just say pun master pending..,…depending on how much effort i wanna put into his puns..

- even though he has no home/family/whatever, he claims to come from the mountain region. everyone just says “yeah okay that makes sense.” the mountain region has too much weird shit that they just accept it. normal mountain region stuff

- seems to be known far and wide. hed show up somewhere and the most unlikely people would be like “oh the merchant? yeah i know that guy. he sold me a rotten tomato once.”

- no backstory. no history. no past, present, or future relationships. no records. claims to have a homeland, but its unconfirmed and foggy at best. no friends. no family. nothing to spend his money on. no information to be had. and no questions asked or answered

- when mochi (and most witches) find this out they feel bad for him??? and a lot of them (mochi included) offer to let him live with them, hang out sometime, make friends or whatever, and he refuses. usually with a grin and a joking remark, but refuses nonetheless. no one knows why. mochi thinks it has something to do with the inscriptions on his arms, but again, it’s unconfirmed and foggy at best.

- and i can’t stress this enough but Sullivan DOES NOT LIKE THE MERCHANT.

- not that he hates him, but the merchant is maybe the only person in the hundred-thousand-something years Sullivan has been alive, that he has no idea what this man is. and Sullivan is supposed to be like. the information archive. he keeps the info/records on everything and everyone. hes the guy witches go to for information on LITERALLY everything,. and he has nothing on the merchant. NOTHING,. it’s unnerving and unsettling and it makes his stomach sick and he doesn’t like the implications behind it.

- also keep in mind sullivan is also like. lord of the underworld, the gatekeeper between life and death, maybe one of the most powerful members of the magic community. hes been alive for so long and has been everywhere, seen everything, he doesnt hate people easily, or at all. again, hes like a hundred-thousand-something years old (and still fairly young for an undertaker), so even despite these interactions he has with mochi, lime, murda, pom, everyone, theyre essentially a moment passing by for him. he sees them more like mice. children, really. to be taken seriously, but not for long (at least for him). hes nearly all-knowing and on another plane of reality than the rest of the magic community. he operates more like a brick wall than anything (with some teasing here and there to entertain himself), but the merchant….,.,.,..he does not like him. 

- the merchant knows Sullivan doesn’t like him. he has no comment on the matter other than an ominously cheerful laugh and an “Old horn-brains gotta lighten up a bit! Maybe buy some lizard tongues from Fichard Mire! Fresh in stock!” 

- i cant emphasize or convey how much the ability to unnerve Sullivan is terrifying to me. 

- i dont know how else to describe that Sullivan is both an unstoppable force and an immovable object, and this one fucking guy, who poses no outward threat to anything but your wallet, upsets that. 

- honestly, i personally am horrified of the merchant i have no idea what he is and im terrified to delve deeper into him to find out

mochi releases them!! be free, little arachnids, she says and puts them in the bushes. mostly because shes a witch doesnt take life. lime is the one that SMACKS IT INTO OBLIVION SO HARD AND MOCHIS JUST. “NO!!!!!!!!!!” (he eventually stops on her request and now she handles the spiders)

Which one is usually in charge of deciding what to do for dates when they eventually date?

they usually decide together!! but if its a surprise date, then lime usually!!!! mochi is a lot of “i dont mind where we go!” since she just wants to spend time with him (and she really doesnt mind she’ll go anywhere so long as its with him). they never really have trouble finding places though since they grew up together and mostly enjoy the same things/already have stuff they enjoy doing together!!!!ll 

Which one is most likely to rage quit a board or card game?

LIME. LIME LIME LIME. MOCHI IS BRILLIANT ESPECIALLY AT STRATEGY GAMES AND LIME IS MORE LIKE “yeah I’m gonna go full frontal and if that doesn’t work then oh well” and it surprisingly works???? somehow their equally matched at board games so they’ve sworn to never again play monopoly, that dragged on for 4 days and they said fuck it, im tired of this game, and lime threw the board over the lookout railing. BUT LIME IS MORE LIKELY TO GRAB UP ALL THE CARDS WHEN MOCHI BEATS HIS ASS AND THROW THEM ONTO THE LAWN, MOCHI JUST LAUGHING IN THE BACKGROUND

mochi!!! as the cat witch she gets sleepy/nappy a lot!!! on field trips she always sleeps on the bus, or long train rides, etc. she usually falls asleep leaning against lime and he just sits there and lets her. doesn’t matter that his phone died 10 mins ago and hes sitting there twiddling his thumbs. musn’t disturb the gentleness. sometimes when she doesnt fall asleep on him he’ll pull her over so shes leaning on him instead of the window and he can rest his head on hers 👀

- shes kind of friends with kyanite??? shes run into her before, kyanite considers her a friend but her and si’am barely see each other

- prefers not to fight!! it much better at setting up traps/hiding out and running away while the opponent is stuck or confused!! 

- her special skills are healing, and web spells. she might be the only witch who has a specialized ability just for her???

- when her hair is down its really thin and silky and goes down below her butt. she puts it up to get it out of the way

good question!!!!!!! heres kinda the explanation regarding them and the way i draw them (with context):

the relationship chart is everyones relationship at the beginning of the story (or when theyre first introduced)!!! but its still canon to the storyline!!!

mochi is 10000% in love with lime!! shes had such a big crush on his handsome dork ass for such a long time by the beginning of the story, but she was never really the type to be all obsessive and swoony!!! (shes not like marinette @ adrien i will guarantee you that. the other girls in school act like that with lime all squealing and fawning, but mochi just. no. its not in her personality to act such ways). when she first started crushing on him she was kinda jittery and nervous but she eventually grew out of it, and now its like soft looks, admiration, blushing, emotional support, kinda subtle things!!!! but especially after she gets into her witch phase,.,..(i mean she’ll ALWAYS love him and MAKES time for him) but she realizes that she. kinda has other stuff to worry about. like not dying. (ofc during the witch stuff though shes still in love and romance plays a big part in this obviously but mochi hardly ever makes the first move. most of their soft moments are either by accident or because of lime)

for LIME, at the start (and for a long time prior), he just sees mochi as his best friend!! he spends almost all his time with her, teases her to make her blush (because he enjoys her reactions), hangs out with her, does homework together, but you’ll see later he treats her more like a friend at the beginning!!! (with some softness cuz ngl he has a huge soft spot for her even then. i think he has a little crush on her but didnt realize it). but after the whole witch thing gets rolling and lime becomes the first member of her guild, she pretty much shifts into the center of his universe in a way he never thought she would!! suddenly shes with otherworldly amazing badass chick and hes being opened up to all these new worlds and magic and its !!!!!!, unreal!!!!!  but throughout all of that his care and protectiveness of her goes up by like 1000000%. and as the story progresses that unrealized/suppressed crush starts to surface more and more in him and it gets harder and harder to hide from her, and it shows in little ways like the way he smells her hair or how he acts reckless just so she’ll heal him and he can spend more time with her!!!

and thats generally the time period when i draw a lot of limochi art is post-reveal when lime is kinda struggling with his feelings!!!! so i guess yeah he does kinda have a secret crush on her???? its so secret even he doesnt know he has it. and mochi is just an expert at hiding shit so. good job kids. slow burn 👀

- she lives in the desert region!!!! inspo kinda by gerudo desert kind of region!!!! (also an excuse to put mochi and lime in that cool ass desert style clothes hell yeah hell yeah) and shes pretty lowkey. shes a snake-charmer/fortune teller

- shes actually a part of mochis mothers generation of witches!! tiramisu and hanah are good friends. 

- the snake witch title was supposed to pass on to her oldest daughter (who was only a year or so older than mochi)  but the coattails actually killed her daughter during the power transfer before it was complete, so the title shifted back to her. she has another daughter that will eventually inherit it, but that one is only about 10 years old so she has a few more years

- DESPITE TRAGEDY, shes very kind. mochis met her before and shes always so sweet. she makes them food and helps train mochi whenever mochi needs help.

- but because of the daughterthinghanah hates the coattails with a passion. after the power transfers to her daughter shes on a sworn mission to go out and kill as many off them as humanly possible

- she would do it now while shes powerful, but killing another human would corrupt and damage the magic for her and her daughter so she has to wait

- i think hanah is where mochi and tiramisu go when they leave between the 1st and 2nd arc??? when mochi disappears for a year??? i think they go to hanahs region (the desert is void of rain and has a lot of open space for pushing the limits of mochis magic)

- her stomach is a bottomless pit. she will eat. everythingf.

- when she gets half-snake, im kind of thinking maybe a medusa look??? maybe??????? and/or her hair turns into snakes

- plus she has a bit of a superiority complex and thinks she can do everything herself. so its just her and her brother in her guild.

- her brother doesn’t have a name yet but mochi and lime have run into him before!!!!! and when they finally meet the crow witch he just walks in 10mins late with taco bell and m&l both “???!?!?!?????? YOU!!!!” and he “huh. what are you guys doing here?” murda gives him a blank look like “you’ve met the cat witch?”  and he just “oh shit, youre the cat witch? cool.” (he has a really lowkey personality)

- murda is jealous of mochi. her supuriotiy complex ass thinks mochi doesnt deserve the cats power and it should be hers instead. tries to fight mochi for it and loses

- her other younger brother is equally a genius but HE was jealous of HER powers. he ended up becoming the leader of the coattails and is a main antagoist in the 2nd arc

- her witch hat is pointy and has a smaller visor thing!! and her witches cloak is literally just her black jacket.

- shes advanced enough to be able to become half-crow WITHOUT losing her magic (she gets wings and these huge claw hands its cool). mochis like “You can do that??!” and murda just smirks with a “You still have a lot to learn, cat-witch.”

- she just calls mochi cat-witch for a long time

- also her hair turns into black feathers when she becomes half-crow!! which is why she keeps it short because its way easier to deal with

- for weaknesses, im not sure?? im thinking something kinda more obscure like oil?? or sound?? (like super loud sound) 

- theres always a bunch of crows/ravens hanging around her house/following her around. ominous

- the only one whos energy weapon spell glows black (her spirit/eye color)

- after a while mochi really grows on her. i mean shes the cat witch everyone she meets adores her. she tells mochi that if mochi wasnt a witch, she would recruit her into the crow witchs guild. she believes in mochi so much

- i dont know how she feels about lime. like RESPECT because cat witchs guild, and hes also able to handle lightening magic, but otherwise….i dont…think she likes him…… like i make jokes about coco hating his ass but murda…..greatly dislikes him in a very not-joking way (i think its because hes so close to mochi)

ive never really talked about this but jealous mochi is 100% a thing (and this got long and fic-y so i put it under a read more. chapter preview????)

so especially in the beginning when shes just getting her powers, and shes limes totally-normal-best-friend, he like half-flirts with girls a lot of the time and mochi has a kinda jealous episode

there's gonna be a short part when lime goes out with penny bun for a little bit?? (ms. penny bun, perfect cheerleader, keeps a trophy book of all the boys shes dated/used, upgrades to the newest iphone every year, who is super interested in lime for his popularity and looks, and is totally condescending to little creampuff shop daughter mochi)

and during the time lime goes on like 2 dates with her mochi gets more distant towards him because 1) that shit hurted, and 2) penny hates her so it's super uncomfortable and awkward, so she deals with it by avoiding him altogether

but then this nags at lime WAY MORE because the whole time his stupid ass is thinking ‘why the hell is she avoiding me?!’ cue throwing paper wads at her head in class, trying to catch her at the end of her ceramics club but the other members inform him that she left early, he tries texting her but she doesn't read them for a long time

pom offers mochi some suggestions, but mochi was never great at taking advice when she's in a bad mood, and excuses it as “He can do whatever, it gives me more freedom to practice magic without him bothering me” and hides in the greenhouse

and after a day of this, lime decides okay, maybe shes just feeling crowded?? or sick?? and gives her space, but after 2-3 DAYS he’s more like “Okay, fuck it.” and after whole day of barely talking to her, ends up jumping her backyard fence and pounding on the greenhouse door, demanding to be let in because “I asked your mom I KNOW you’re in there!” 

and mochi, half freaking out, is rushing to hide all her witchy stuff and switch the dial on the greenhouse door because knowing lime, he might just punch the door open if she makes him wait too long. maybe not. he's not THAT violent, she thinks.

so pom jumps out the window and leaves her alone, and she opens the door to lime, standing there leaning with his arm against the door and trying not to look as irritated as he feels. she tries to play it off cool with an awkward “Oh hey! What’s up? Haven’t seen you much today hahaha-” 

and he stands there with a half smirk looking down at her for a few seconds in silence before saying “Yeah, wonder why.” and the ‘casual-with-a-hint-of-irritation’ tone in his voice makes the awkward smile fade from her face. her shoulders scrunch and her hand rubs her arm as she turns and quickly walks back to the sink to fill up her watering can, pretending to be busy, and he follows her in.

“Okay, you gonna tell me why you’re mad at me?” Lime says as he leans on the table next to the sink and leans over to see her face. “I’m not mad at you.” She says while trying to sound as normal as possible, but he knows her better.

“Is it because I keep stealing all your creampuffs?”

“That’s normal at this point.”

“Technically that’s your fault for being easy to steal from.”

“I’m not easy to steal from, you have long arms!” She laughs out, and he chuckles. He kinda missed seeing her smile the last few days, but he shoots the thought out of his head. They usually stray from the current conversation, so he brings it back. 

“Did I step on your foot or something?”

“??? I wouldnt be mad at you about that-?”

“Is it because I ate the last of your ice cream on wednesday-”

“I- That was you?!?”

“HAHA noo-” He coughs, “What, does it have something to do with school?”

“No.” 

“Does it have something to do with the shops?”

“No.”

“Does it have something to do with Penny?”

and then she falls silent for a moment. a smirk slowly and gradually grows on his face until she finally answers with a much softer “no,” and as soon as it leaves her mouth, an “oh my god” comes out of his. “Are you jealous?!” he asks with a lot more excitement than he should. He’s never seen Mochi jealous before holy shit??? he tries to hide how much his face just lit up but its too late, she already saw it. 

“No! I’m not!!” Mochi almost yells, and tries to walk away very fast, but lime grabs the intersection of her overall straps and pulls her backwards, laughing and snorting at her. “Mochiiii~” he almost sings out teasingly, and she covers her face with her hands, groaning out a “Nooooo-!” muffled by her fingers. “HAHAha-I [snorts] W- I’m- What, you don’t like her????” He asks sarcastically, laughing. he knows shes terrible. hes not dating her seriously. he was just bored. 

Mochi falls back on the couch with her face still covered by her hands and groans. “NO- no I-...I mean - she doesn’t like me, and I’m not crazy about her either-” she mumbles out, Lime is smirking this whole time and slowly moves towards her. “-but i don’t wanna be that friend that tries to tell you what to do, or who you can and can’t hang out with I just [SIGH] its just....weird being around you when you’re around her and I.....-...yeah,” her hands fall to her lap, and lime is now crouching on the floor in front of her. 

He gives her the most amused, teasing, flirty, shit-eating look and she looks away, mumbling out a small “sorry,” and a few moments pass before he speaks again. “.......you don’t want me to see her anymore?” he asks, his voice a lot softer and lighter than it was 5 minutes ago, and her head shoots up “Wh- no! No! I mean if you want to keep seeing her then- I don’t wanna get in the way-!” Mochi stammers out, and Lime just laughs at her and folds his arms over her thighs. her cheeks turn red. “Moch listen, I don’t actually LIKE like her, alright? She flirted a little and I was bored so we went out, like, once. That’s it.” 

“I thought it was twice-?”

“Well the first one didn’t count because we just happened to both be at Mcdonalds at the same time. Plus she paid.”

“Oh god, you let her pay?” Mochi giggles out in amusement. 

“Eh, it was like $8.50.” 

“Oh nice, did they have the dipped cone there yet?”

“OH- yeah. We should go sometime. But anway-” Lime redirects the conversation after they strayed AGAIN. “Here’s the thing Moch, I’m not gonna go out with someone who doesn’t like you. You’re my best friend, and besides,” Lime looks up at her and smiles, “...anyone who doesn’t like you - obviously isn’t a good judge of character.......and isn’t someone I’d wanna hang out with anyway.” 

He looks at her eyes and tries his best to imply that she’s one of the best, if not the best person he knows. He doesn’t even know if she gets the message. She does, but shes not sure if thats what he was trying to say, so she just quietly gulps down a little. “Okay?” he smiles, nudging her legs a bit, and she smiles. “Are you sure?” Mochi asks quietly, and he snorts. “Yeah- how about don’t ignore me next time though, huh?” 

and she laughs as he lightly jabs her side, and he stands up, about to move away before adding: “Oh yeah, and since you got to veto one of my dates, this means that I am LEGALLY ALLOWED to veto one of your boyfriends in the future.” A shit-eating grin plasters over his face, but she just gives him a bit of a flat look, her face gets red and she thinks ‘can’t veto yourself, idiot.’ she cant think of any other guy he could possibly veto. she couldnt think of anyone else she would want to date, so she just laughs and agrees. 

(and she thinks hes joking, but lime 100% carries that in his pocket and then uses it to veto sulluvan, and mochis response is just “[exaggerated shrug] deals a deal, sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯” and since its technically a contract, sulluvan can’t override it so he has to eat it on one of their deals and hes pissed)

I need to know more about coattail!Lime (or as much as you're willing to spoil 👀)!! Do the coattails try and make him sacrifice a limb like they did, or are they happy to just let him wield the thunderbat? How do they catch him? How does Mochi react? Does Lime have any trauma afterward (over something he did while brainwashed) and does Mochi comfort him? Sorry for the barrage of questions but the scenario is just,, PEAK ANGST and 🔥🔥👀😩

sadly idont have a lot about this plot yet!! but ill put below some stuff im thinking about!!!

- im thinking itll be after mochi messes something up, and theres no time for her to apologize for it (maybe after he almost dies for real once and she erases all his memories of her. he somehow breaks out of the spell and hes PISSED about it)

- anyway, idont know how but hes emotionally/mentally weak for a moment because of something with mochi, maybe going for a walk to cool off by himself and some coattails just happen to be on the prowl

- and lime isnt strong enough to beat 3+ coattails on his own, so they manage to knock him out, and they were gonna kill him, but their higher-up mentions this could be a huge advantage

- anyway, they drag him to their secret lair camp thing, try to get him to give up information about her weaknesses and hes like “Jokes on you, assholes!! SHE DOESNT HAVE ANY!!!!” and then they realize its him. hes the weakness.

- so they tie him down and use their dark psuedo magic to do some gross stuff (probably shove something down his throat) and manage to brainwash him. they take his thunderbat and mix dark magic on it, turns it into the thunderblade to match the rest of them that use swords. one of his eyes turn black with magic, and his arm is covered by that black gooey shit and hes a goner

- HOWEVER, (and his whole defeat hinges on this), one guy in the brainwashing department comes up to his boss like “hey so almost everything went well”

boss: “…..almost….?? what is almost???”

grunt: “oh haha well uh…..hh… long story short. we cant get rid of his feelings for her. he still loves her hahaha”

boss: “WHAT”

(so YEAH AHHAA ALL HIS MEMORIES ARE GONE AND HES TURNED INTO A FIGHTING MACHINE BUT HES STILL IN LOVE WITH MOCHI SO THEYRE IN TROUBLE LMFAO)

- and so this whole time MOCHI is freaking out because lime never came home the night before and hes not answering his phone and her little magic scout paper plane cant find him anywhere. somehow she gets word that hes been kidnapped and NOW SHE GOTTA GO GET HIM.

- coco and oscar go too.

- and mochi doesnt KNOW hes been brainwashed until they get there and they’ re halfway through the keep when she grabs some guy and shakes him vigorously like “WHERE’S LIME?!” and he just says “You’re too late to save him”

- and when she turns around hes. there. fully uniformed completely with a mask and a sword with sparks flying off it wildly, and she stops. and her eyes swell up with tears and she freezes. and he says nothing.

- the thing that snaps her out of it is when lime attacks, and COCO is the one that intercepts and fights him off while oscar drags her to cover to shake her out of it.

- and of course, coco cant handle him because hes MOSTEROUSLY strong and gets knocked back, and mochi doesnt let oscar fight because they both know hes too soft to fight his best friend,. and so she faces him alone

- idont have content for the fight yet but its a COOL FIGHT like THE IDEAL MOCHI VS LIME FIGHT. THE WHOLE TIME SHES TRYING TO GET HIM TO REMEMBER HER AND HE EITHER TALKS VERY LITTLE OR NOT AT ALL

- and its not until he has her backed into a corner, about to land the final blow when he stops. shes almost dead tired and quite frankly at his mercy. shes so used to fighting with him at her side she didnt realize how much weaker she was without him there.

- anyway he CANT bring himself to do it somehow. his hand is shaking and his head is saying kill her but his heart says FUCK NO.

- and idont know how this ends up happening, but somehow mochi manages to get close enough and KISESS him ON THE LIPS!!!!! and he FREEZES!!!!!

- and he has his dagger to her back like he could STAB her at ANY SECOND she is SO VULNERABLE right now and he. doesn’t. he just puts the knife back and finds himself kissing her back because hohoohohohoooo boy he likes that a LOT.

- and when she breaks the kiss he is dazed. hes fucking DIZZY and she takes that opportunity to use whatever magic she has left to RIP THE SPELL OFF/OUT OF HIM AND EVERY OTHER COATTAIL IS LIKE “FUCK! NO! OH NO”

- and then they proceed to kick ass out of that shitty place, idk what happens here, but lime ended up remembering how to fight with a sword and hand-to-hand combat!!! they dont have the cute makeing up moment until later

- theyre sitting on mochis bed and shes healing up a huge cut she put on his arm, meanwhile hes all happy, raving about how cool he looks in their uniform, how much he wants to keep the mask even though its probably bad taste(?), and he looks up at mochi and says something like “Hey might come in handy for a disguise or something, right?” with a smirk and a snort.

- and mochi doesnt say anything, and the smirk kinda falls into a soft smile as he stares at her. he can tell shes sad. she feels horrible like its all her fault and how easy his life would be if she wasnt in it. and how much danger she always puts him in. so lime uses his free hand and kind of lightly brushes her cheek with the back of his index finger and smiles when she looks up. “This wasn’t your fault Moch.”

- after this im not sure??? maybe they kiss again??? soft moment??? awkward silence??? i have most of this episode fleshed out but im not sure how i wanna end it!!! IM PRETTY SURE LIME REMEMBERS THE KISS THOUGH

i had to meditate on this q for a while because…i wasnt sure about some of them……..

mochi: water. #1 is water. shes terrified of it FIRSTLY because it renders her sick and powerless for a significant amount of time, and SECONDLY, because she could never go in the water, she never learned to swim, and is terrified of drowning

#2 is dogs LMFAO!!!! shes also scared of dogs. she hates when they go somewhere and there’s like a scary looking guard dog and she hides behind lime, who coincidentally, is very good with dogs and actually loves them

lime: for material fears his would probably be something weird and dumb like clowns or something????? ([coco voice]: never met anyone afraid of themselves LMFAO! ZING!!) but his deeper fear is abandonment. idk what happened to his parents when he was young but it kind of messed him up a little??? mochi was a good anchor for him because he kind of felt like she needed him in a way, and they got along really well so he never really felt like he would ever be alone with her, but after she gets her powers (beneath all his dumbassery and cockiness) hes kind of scared shes gonna get sick of his normy, weak, boring human shit and just. leave him in the dust forever.

coco: HAHA a lot of things. shes the scaredy cat of the group!! shes scared of. heights. bugs. jump scares. ghosts (lol). but shes also the best at sucking it up and pushing through!!!

oscar: strangely, nothing. one of oscars points is that he doesn’t really have any fears??? with the only one being the commonality of EVERYONE that he doesnt want to lose people he loves, but he’s a brave boy!! he’s scared of nothing and no one which will play into the plot a bit

taffy: also drowning. the thing about taffy is that hes been cursed in his lungs with the water powers ever since he was a kid, which is cool and all except for the fact that it’s slowly filling his lungs with water the more time passes (which he coughs up regularly like TB) 

so hes constantly terrified of death by the curse, ie, drowning, which is also why hes constantly trying to kill mochi to save his own life. also since hes always had water powers he ALSO never learned to swim

Stupid Limochi fights

@tall-dingus im fucking CRYING AT THE IDEA OF MOCHI AND LIME FIGHTING OVER STUPID REDDIT DEBATES LIKE THIS LMFAOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lime looks up from his laptop one day and just turns to mochi slowly and stares at her. mochi, feeling his stare just slowly turns and asks what. to which he, in the most serious face, responds “.....cereal is a soup.” 

and mochi has to LITERALLY, PHYSICALLY TAKE A SLOW DEEP INHALE BECAUSE SHE CAN FEEL ITS GONNA BE ONE OF THOSE STUPID SHIT ARGUMENTS AGAIN. she sighs, slowly and loudly and just says “No.”

Lime: “It’s a fucking soup. It falls in the same subcategory as a damn SOUP. You don’t believe me?!”

Mochi, giggling at him: “To be fair, you do sock-shoe so your opinion is invalid.”

Lime: “HEY-”

and it turns into a SUPER HEATED DEBATE ON WHY CEREAL IS OR IS NOT A SOUP!!! and once mochi is fed up, she tries to get up and leave the room and lime just jumps to his feet and follows her out saying something like “THERE ARE SOUPS THAT DON’T HAVE TO BE HEATED, MOCH, AM I WRONG???!!?” 

to which mochi, pissed, just WHIPS around really fast and does a DAMN ZIPPER SPELL ON HIS MOUTH TO SHUT HIM UP!!!! WHICH MAKES HIM ANGRIER AND FAILING AROUND TRYING TO TALK BUT ALL THAT COMES OUT IS JUST “MFMHkhfmMMmjkHgMMMLFHFKMMM!!” (and mochi probably understands what he's saying and responds with something like “leave my spell capabilities out of this!”)

and then right on que her cat ears pop up and she loses all her magic, and they just stop fighting and stare at each other for a few seconds. and then lime, realizing what this means, starts FREAKING THE HELL OUT BECAUSE HES STUCK WITH HIS MOUTH ZIPPERED SHUT FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS!! 

mochi just giggles about how she might like him better like this, and he gives her a flat look and stands there, red-faced and out of things to say while she laughs light-heartedly and tries to cheer him up a little
