currently torturing my moots with sad Br’aaxi headcanons

Br’aaxi HC because I’m anxious and I can’t stop thinking about what we could’ve had ;’)

Br’aad comes up with so many stupidly-sweet and corny songs he can possibly think of- the inspiration for these are ofc a certain tabaxi <3 he plays them to him when he’s overwhelmed, or stressed, or just needs to have some kind of distraction. Taxi usually calms down after a few songs, but he doesn’t stop Br’aad,, Velrisa once found the both of them passed out under a tree or something and left without saying anything, but she absolutely teases Taxi about it when nobody else is listening.

Similar to Vel teasing Taxi,, Br'aad has absolutely been caught scribbling and doodling hearts and shit around his workshopped songs for Taxi,, mostly by Sylnan who’s just watching over his shoulder without him knowing before he leans on him or does some kind of dramatic reading of what he's seen of what his lil bro is working on- Taxi walks into a scene of Br'aad chasing Sylnan who's pissing himself laughing, while Br'aad's cursing him out,

seeing the jrwi fandom develop its ship name system has been really interesting, because presumably(?) fated followed the tradition of just portmanteau-ing characters’ names, i.e br’aaxi - but the shift to the riptide/pd era sort of naturally came with new naming sensibilities

from what I can tell it’s pretty much all comes from a) the coining and subsequent spread of fish and chips for gillion/chip in the very early days of riptide, and b) the ‘ghostknife’ bit in episode 2 of pd being latched onto for shipping, so now we’ve all semi-unanimously incorporated both the concepts of double meanings related to the characters + characters having one-word code names in various permutations all because those two ship names managed to catch on so early. revenant’s maybe my favorite example because it was derived from ghostdemon aka a type b name and made into a more type-a esque one!

i love writing br’aaxi cause im always thinking like “oh god this is too soft and fluffy its gonna be so out of character” and then i watch the fated and its just. no yeah theyre just like that. they are so soft for each other canonically i could not write them more down bad for each other than that. damn.

Soooo...jrwi fandom...we’re pretty small, but it’s never too early to start shipping, don’t ya think...? Hmm...? So....Velraxi, Br’aaxi or Velr’aad?? like make up dumb competitions between the two of them? There’s a bunch of flowers around like a forested area- the challenge is who can pick the most flowers.

After they finish and whoever wins wins, Taxi tells Br’aad about the flowers they collected and they do dumb flower chains. Br’aad absolutely makes a little flower chain crown (yk how those daisy chain crowns look all scruffy? that type of vibe-) for Liveclock AND Taxi.
