Hellooo, missed me?
To Lady Beneviento and Lady Angie, *pushes over a whole shipping crate of what seems to be pasta ingredients and weapons mixed together* love ya'll, hope Lady Angie wins the elections.
To Lady Alcina Dimitrescu and her daughter Lady Daniela, do you both have a favourite type of literature genre? And whats your favourite musical instrument?
For me, I love gothic fiction and dark romanticism like Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and my favourite instrument is the electric guitar i got mine for 568.05 Lei 6078php plus 1k god why was i born in poverty for shipping.
-With lots of love, pasta anon <333
P.S. Donna I hope you learn to love yourself a little more, just know that you are very much loved by others :((
Donna Beneviento: *Slowly picks through the ingredients* Angie... Please calm down... *Angie jumps into the crates, drowning in the armaments*
Angie Beneviento: I can and will win this fucking election, I will become a god!
Daniela Dimitrescu: My favorite genre of literature *whimsical* is romance. *Lovesick* I hope I can find someone like all the characters in my books someday. I don't really play music but Bela likes the violin and Cassandra likes the electric guitar too, she's been really into rock since Uncle Heisenberg introduced her to Metallica.
Alcina Dimitrescu: I greatly enjoy classic literature, and I must say you have excellent taste, Wuthering Heights is my second favorite novel, only defeated by The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. For instruments I enjoy all components of the brass section of a standard big band, still for music, I'll always value my own voice above all. (Great book choice btw, top 5 for me, respect)
Donna Beneviento: *Forlorn* I wish I could feel like that about myself... Thank you... For caring... I never thought anyone would.

Building a Reliable LV Panel? Here Are 12 Components You Can’t Overlook
Tumblr media
Low Voltage (LV) panels are the heartbeat of modern electrical systems, ensuring safe and efficient power distribution in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. While large breakers and meters often steal the spotlight, it’s the small, often overlooked components that ensure the reliability, safety, and functionality of an LV panel.
At Daleel Trading, we proudly offer Elber Electric’s range of switchgear accessories — trusted by panel builders across the GCC for their durability and precision. In this article, we’ll explore 12 essential components that no LV panel should be without.
1. NH00 Fuse and Fuse Base
The NH00 fuse is vital for overcurrent protection. It safeguards electrical circuits from damage due to overloads or short circuits. When combined with a high-quality Elber fuse base, this setup ensures easy replacement and secure mounting, providing both safety and convenience.
Why it matters: Prevents costly equipment damage and ensures system uptime.
2. Neutral Links
Neutral links allow safe termination and distribution of the neutral wire in panelboards. Made from high-conductivity brass or copper, Elber’s neutral links ensure minimal resistance and long service life.
Why it matters: Ensures balanced load return paths and system stability.
3. Hex Spacer Bolts
These small mechanical components provide spacer and insulation between parts like busbars or mounting plates. Elber’s precision-made hex spacer bolts reduce the risk of arcing and simplify panel assembly.
Why it matters: Maintains physical separation and alignment in compact panels.
4. Busbars
Busbars act as the central conductors in LV panels, distributing power to multiple circuits. Elber provides solid, tinned copper or aluminum busbars with excellent conductivity and mechanical strength.
Why it matters: Reduces wiring clutter and minimizes voltage drops.
5. Busbar Supports
To keep busbars securely in place, high-dielectric busbar supports are used. Elber’s supports are made from thermoset materials, ensuring strength, insulation, and resistance to temperature and chemicals.
Why it matters: Prevents short circuits, mechanical sag, and electrical faults.
6. FRP Support Channels
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) supports are corrosion-resistant and non-conductive, making them ideal for mounting and support in harsh environments.
Why it matters: Adds structural support and insulation in demanding conditions.
7. Polycarbonate Sheet
Used as covers or barriers in LV panels, polycarbonate sheets are transparent, flame-retardant, and impact-resistant. Elber’s polycarbonate sheets allow visual inspection without compromising safety.
Why it matters: Enhances operator safety while allowing visibility and access.
8. PVC Ferrules
PVC ferrules are used to label and organize wires, preventing errors during installation or maintenance. Elber provides high-quality ferrules in multiple sizes and colors.
Why it matters: Improves wire management and speeds up troubleshooting.
9. Wire End Sleeves
Wire end sleeves (also known as bootlace ferrules) protect stranded wires from fraying and ensure secure termination in terminals. They are essential for proper current flow and long-term connection stability.
Why it matters: Prevents loose connections and improves contact quality.
10. Bakelite Sheet
These rigid, non-conductive sheets serve as insulation barriers or mounting bases. Bakelite sheets are heat-resistant and dimensionally stable — ideal for demanding electrical environments.
Why it matters: Provides electrical insulation and mechanical separation.
11. Fuse Puller
A small but critical tool, the fuse puller ensures safe and contact-free removal of fuses. Elber’s non-conductive pullers are designed for NH-type fuses and reduce the risk of electric shock.
Why it matters: Enables maintenance without power shutdown or hazards.
12. Cable Markers & Accessories
Though small, cable markers help maintain an organized system by providing clear wire identification. Elber’s markers are durable, heat-resistant, and easy to install.
Why it matters: Saves time during commissioning, inspection, and servicing.
Why These Components Matter for Panel Builders
While fuses and busbars handle the big jobs, it’s the accessories — spacers, supports, sleeves, and markers — that determine long-term reliability, safety, and serviceability. At Daleel Trading, we’ve partnered with Elber Electric because of their proven performance in demanding electrical environments.
Whether you’re building a new panel or upgrading an existing system, overlooking these components could lead to safety issues, breakdowns, or costly rework.

Tonight's project: General Electric Telechron 'Replica' (1955)
So I had the distinct honor of finding this midcentury modern clock, model 7H229, in working condition (working as in: plug it in, the second hand took about 15 seconds to go the five seconds between numbers then suddenly remembered it's a clock and ramped up to correct speed), so brought it home.
Tumblr media
But like anything that's about seventy years old, it definitely needs some TLC. Continue on to see the cleaning?
This clock is made of brass on the back and the face/clockwork housing, glass on the bezel, and clear amber plastic for the body. The video producers that fix old things would have taken the body off and soaked it in hydrogen peroxide with an ultraviolet lamp to get it bleached back to clear, or close to that since I think the original color is supposed to be a translucent golden, but I lack the science components and I'd have to unsolder the cord from the clockwork to do it. Happily the cord is long enough to work around.
Tumblr media
See what I mean? FYI inside the plastic piece is a band of paper that is brass-gold on the outside and, as you see here, kinda beige on the inside since no one will see it behind the clock's face.
So I went over everything with window cleaner and paper towels (yes, I will use brass cleaner on the metal later, I don't have any right now), used a tiny screwdriver to scrape the grape bubblegum or whatever the hell that was off the back and time-setter knob, and then uncrimped the back edges of the face from the motor housing so that I could remove the face and bezel.
Tumblr media
The two reasons for my doing that are: first, the glass needed a serious cleaning on the inside (not just from the haze, but there's what looks like old oil or crud from moisture along the edge and bottom of the glass and the part of the face that holds it in place, plus there were inexplicable dabs of something on the paper dial); second, the alarm-hand had slipped off its spindle. Took a bit of doing to get the hand back on -- and, importantly, on in the right place so the alarm could go off at the intended time rather than some random time six hours later (as happened in my first attempt) -- and even more doing to get the bezel and face back on straight without knocking the alarm hand off (the paper dial isn't held down and stays in place by a notch that catches a tab at the 12 o'clock position) or breaking the glass as I was in fear of doing at various points.
So once I had the face back together and the hands moved as they are supposed to, I put crimps back into those four positions and pushed the works back into the plastic and the plastic back into the brass. This is where I realized that the two screws that hold the whole thing together were missing their 1/2" brass washers that keep them together -- thus right now, the screws stick out like the knobs and aren't catching on anything. I will pick up a couple of those washers tomorrow at work. So here's what it looks like post-cleaning:
Tumblr media
You might not be able to see the difference but I can. :-D I have to agree with the telechron.net review, GE should have put some soft lighting inside. So with all that refurbishing done, how does it work? Well, the motor driving the second hand is a bit noisy at times, and I did make some vague attempt to lubricate moving parts but couldn't reach every nook, but I hope that with it running it will tame down a bit. I can't speak on the timekeeping yet, but the alarm is an impressive buzz and recognises what time the hand is set for [now], and the alarm on/off pull on the back does its job.
