Thank you very much for requesting this, I had a lot of fun lol. Jesse is such a good character and I love him to bits. I'm also submitting this to the petre/animalre contest that @theregressionlibrary is doing! Yay! Hcs below the cut :>

For starters I think he would unconciounsly resonate with working/obediant breeds. He really does want to be well-behaved and play by the rules but that's never worked out for him (caugh undiagnosed ADHD/ASD cough). He's a natural follower probably partly because he's been taught that he's always 'wrong' by so many figures in his life, though he can lead quite well when it's called for but he doesn't see himself as a leader. I think he usually gravitates to collie, alsation, shiba, jack russel types but he doesn't really care about breeds.

Doesn't really remember when it all started but he became very aware of it once Walt reentered his life. He had it rough before but good gravy.

He's often in a constant state of survival which doesn't let him slip or be any kinds of vulnerable until he feels safe. But to a certain point his brain just gets overloaded and does a force shut down, leading him to go pretty deep into doggy mode.

It's a big mix of comfort, stress, turmoil and dissociation but it does help him get through things, even if Jesse is a bit ashamed of it. He does quite like it when he can enjoy it though. I truly believe with an outlet/coping mechanism as strong as this, he could have escaped a lot of the show lmfao.

Alternative timeline: he embraces his regression, moves to "Oregon or whatever", starts a new life, does a lot of self disovery and maybe even meets a caregiver/guardian figure.

Still a lot of angst from his journey so far but he's like, safe. Yo.

I do think he would benefit from finding someone really caring though, and open minded. It'd do a lot of good for him to be able to meet someone who doesn't riducule him and instead forms a healthy, balanced bond with him.

And who buys him puppy chew toys (because those ones are softer on teeth)

btw when he's puppymode he has the biggest most expressive puppy eyes. if you care.

Jesse Pinkman Agere Headcanons

In the imagination world were he regresses he is also currently clean and only smokes 🍃

🍃 helps him regress

He wears baggy shirts/hoodies and boxers or sweats when he's small

He has both the rebel onesies from rearz but he only uses them when he's really small

He regresses to 2-7 usually only regresses under 4 when he's really stressed

He regresses due to trauma so vent regression isn't uncommon and he has panic attacks a lot when regressed

He's usually nonverbal when he's stressed out, regardless of if he's regressed or not, and also when he's 4 or under. Maybe semiverbal around 4 or 5 but very talkative, or happily babbles, when he's happy.

He has two bottles, the rebel and plain adult sized bottles from rearz

He usually only uses his bottles when he's 2 or 3 or in bed. Other wise he uses hard spout sippies and straw cups

There are all the pacis I headcanon that he has, except 1 bc I'm waking on making a paci based off his character

“get that out of there, what did i tell you about smoking, jesse?” mike scolded, snatching the cigarette right out of jesse’s mouth, and putting it out with his foot.

“but i need it, mike. okay? it’s like i can’t do anything without it.” the boy scratched his neck. “you might not need it anymore,” the old man pulled out a grocery bag from his pocket. he emptied it in his hand, a 2 pack of pacifiers coming out.

“what the hell?” was all jesse said, confused and a little freaked out. “whenever you feel like you need to smoke, just pop on of these guys in.” mike opened the plastic. “go ahead, try one out.”

it took jesse a while to give in, giving many grumpy looks to mike and the pacifiers. he grabbed a blue one, just slipping it in his mouth to get it over with. but he didn’t want to admit how soothed he felt, almost like he was gonna fall asleep.

“you like it?”

“yeah, it’s fine. whatever.” jesse broke out of his trance.

“if you don’t like ‘em, come back to me and we can try another method.”

let’s just say jesse never complained not once about his new coping device.

- she’s always always ALWAYS clipping your paci to your shirt. she doesn’t want you to lose it especially if it’s your favorite
