The tone and the eyes were the same 😢 the same embarrassment and the pain of feeling pitied and the despair of unrequited love (not knowing that he's going through the same thing).

I'm happy for her confidence in putting herself out there but the sacrifice of letting go of your first love after finally experiencing a kiss from him just breaks my heart. She was truly doing her best to move on.

GUYS THIS IS EPISODE TWO. POLIN’S FIRST KISS HAS TO BE HERE.

I had been staring at these two pictures and kinda thought they looked similar but the color seemed off so i thought nah but NOPE SAME DRESS. SAME EPISODE. EPISODE 2. I think the bottom one comes first though since it is the same dress and top pic looks like it’s at night.

Also i’m curious if Pen’s mother let her get this dress or she used her Whistledown money

And apparently there’s going to be 10 episodes. NOT 8

Okay i had to pause the episode because it's a bit much and i just need to say... who the fuck is that and where the hell is colin bridgerton??!!

Episode 1, colin is flirting and being very chatty with the women but the scenes between him and the rest of the characters felt very natural, very him, but Episode 2, i just had to pause the episode 12 minutes in because the scene of him with Penelope just feels so off, I'm genuinely so weirded out by him, i swear he sounds like a douch!! (and he's having threesomes!! I legit thought it was Benedict at first).. okay now I'll go back to the episode.

Bridgerton season 3 is so rushed, especially the important Polin moments

The letter opener/Diary scene: In the book, Penelope reading Colins diary without his cosent is a major conflict between these two, for a really long time. If the show wants to shift the focus somewhere else.... fair. But here you have: Colin catching Penelope, forgiving her and nearly allowing her to read the diary again in... what? five minutes? If he forgives her SO easily it makes his previous anger - when he catches her reading the diary - kinda pointless. Followed by the letter opener-scene. Already in the book you have a hard time catching whats going on, because Colin is suddenly bleeding and only two pages later Quinn tells us that he cut himself on a letteropener. How? Nobody knows. In the show: Colin knocks over a lamp. And as a viewer you do not even ahve time to realize that he is picking up broken glass with his bare hand. No, he cuts himself right away, on the first piece of glass that he is picking up, giving him an unreasltic big cut. This scene would have had much MUCH more impact if he starts picking up one piece, the next one and the next one. And as a viewer you go: "Oh shit! He is doing it with his bare hands. Hopefully he is careful." Giving you a bad feeling and THEN he cuts himself. And Penelope does not know what to do right away, but needs a few moments to find something to wrap aroudn his hands. The camera focusing on her panic and his pain. Instead of her acting all comptent right away. Which - again - made the scene less impactful

The kiss. The kiss is way too rushed. In the book you have "you can kiss me back" i don't know if we need that in the show. But the audience as well as Polin should have time to realize what is happening. Slow shots, slow mo, some: "Oh shit" faces. Just giving us time to take in the feeling. Instead it was: kiss!" Okay - cut - the end. Episode over.

Like... I really hope someone tells the director to let her scenes breath and unfollowed

I'm starting to see where the plot is going and I approve. I will say the Polin story line is going well and I have no notes but a lot of other characters do not get screen time. There are no Lady Danbury Penelope interactions. It does feel at times there are too many characters due to these interactions.

Overall good, the ending odiously was the strong point I gave it 10/10.
