A severely intoxicated, unconscious woman who may have been trafficked was found in a married, Colorado player's hotel room. There's a video of a player forcibly taking his crying children from his ex-wife and he kept them even after he lost custody. This stuff is not on the radar of the avg sports fan.

When you first came up with the idea to tutor on the side while you finished your education degree you hadn’t been planning for it to go as well as it did. When you had been coming up with the plan you had imagined helping nine year olds with science or six year olds with writing. Not a four year old with sight words, but you couldn’t complain.

It didn’t take long before the Lucic family began feeling like your family which was nice since yours was so far away. It spoke volumes to the feeling being mutual whenever you curled up in a bean bag and the little girl never paused before tucking herself into your side to work on her sight words.

Tonight however was different. You still weren’t quite sure how the little girl had convinced you to come to an Oilers game with her and her mom but there you were with her little hand tugging on yours as you made your way down towards the locker room so she could see her dad before the game. 

You did your best to stand off to the side wanting to stay out of the way, but the little girl had other plans as she pushed you into one of the players as they came out. “I am so sorry!” you squeaked quickly as you tried to regain your balance noticing that it was Oscar Klefbom. Of course it had to be the most gorgeous man on the team.

“Not a problem, hot tutor,” he promised winking down at you. “Get a better jersey for next game though.”

You tugged on the sleeves of your Lucic one as you shook your head. “This one pays my bills,” you pointed out teasingly earning a quick laughter from the man before he was nudged from behind by Leon shaking his head muttering something about a flirting fool. You knew a deep blush crossed over your cheeks as you looked away.

Brittany and you were laughing happily as you followed a skipping Valetina back to the locker room after the game. Of course the Oilers had won and Brittany had quickly promised a pizza night and somehow you got yourself roped into it but honestly how else would you spend your Friday night? At least this way you got to be surrounded by hot guys too.

You found yourself sandwiched between Oscar and Valentina as she held up a book attempting to read to both of you while the rest of the team was scattered about the living room some talking quietly and others paying attention to the little girl reading. Once she finished the book she looked up at you with a wide smile. You held your hand out for her to high five, “Good job. You’ll be reading Harry Potter to me before we know it!”

She wiggled closer to you pushing you into Oscar as you laughed at her clear plan. “I’m sorry,” You told him yet again when you were both left with no space between you.

He flashed you a wide smile shaking his head, “It’s not a problem. But I may have to ask to buy you dinner soon.”

“Just name a day and I’ll make it fit,” you promised hoping that he was serious about the offer. You soon found out it wasn’t all he was serious about.
