Dear Diary 📔:

I have always loved being there for the people in my life. I enjoy being present in happy times and when it is overcast. I think it’s really important to look after one another. It has been said it takes a village to raise a child; does it not take a village to maintain an adult? Are we suddenly self-sufficient in every demanding aspect? I have observed quite the contrary with my little girly brain. I love that I have been chosen as a safe space for a wonderful lot of beautiful people. I am over the moon about it. I bless the Lord & Lady every day my shoulders rise from whence I lie, I get to : care, share, cheer, and bring quality shenanigans towards my people. I have been blessed with a people, Diary 📔. It tears being alone up. I know what every single day painful stillness was for. I did not perish in the dark. I have been blessed to hold light. I am so grateful.

ykw the OP on that facebook post with all the star trek drama stepped up after I asked him to say sth to his friends but I rly do still need ppl to remind me not to go on facebook… like ever bc why did I go into my notifications just now & see, on a black ndn's post abt like. having a complex relationship with the disney pocahontas movie (which I can respect, bc starvation for representation butting up against trauma is Real out here), and how she just really wanted/needed a #brownprincess… this white lady commented, "not sure what you mean. pocahantas [sic], though I not sure [sic] of her skin tone, was a redhead. my husband is descended from her" I… just… who…… asked…????????
