TIARA ALERT: Anisha Isa Kalebic wore a diamond tiara for her wedding to Prince Mateen of Brunei at Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan on 14 January 2024.
“All the money to lavish foreign guests but giving maggot-infested food to your nation’s children who you made to attend a procession, while the bride wears millions of pounds worth of diamond. Shame on Mateen and Anisha and SHAME on the Sultan.” - Submitted by Anonymous
“Behind all that wedding glitz, thousands of bruneians (forcibly) attending Mateens wedding procesion got food poisoning because of the disgusting food they were "gifted" by the royal family. Mind you, some didn't even receive a bottle of water despite having to wait HOURS under the sun and heat. Burgers and chicken full of worms for the "commoners" and a 10 course meal for the royals.” - Submitted by Anonymous
10th January 2024 // Prince Abdul Mateen’s partner Anisha Rosnah during the powdering ceremony, a traditional part of the Bruneian wedding festivities encouraging fertility and wealth.
TIARA ALERT: Anisha Isa Kalebic wore Queen Saleha’s Diamond Tiara for the banquet following her wedding to Prince Mateen of Brunei at Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan on 15 January 2024.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji 'Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam, recently delivered a special titah expressing appreciation to all parties involved in the successful Royal Wedding Ceremony between His Highness Prince Abdul Mateen and Her Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rusnah. The appreciation extends to all public servants, uniformed personnel, private sector personnel, students, and all other parties who contributed.
In His Titah, His Majesty said that the royal customs are still maintained even though the era has changed. His Majesty also expressed the hope that the royal customs will remain relevant from time to time.
The Brunei royals are the only royal family who have given us official wedding photos with a cat in them. Given Mateen is a big cat lover, I'm keeping my fingers crossed they just have one of his pet cats as part of the wedding. They don't highlight this or mention it, he just wears a bow tie and everyone acts like it's completely normal
Princess Anisha's tiara was designed by Singaporean jewellery designer Roslind Ng.
The tiara, made entirely of 18-karat gold and embellished with 838 diamonds – including 38 square-shaped, 14 oval-shaped, 19 pear-shaped, and 767 round brilliant-cut diamonds.
