I’ve always sort of rolled my eyes when people said they got chills from songs. I always thought it was something people just said to say. Then I watched frozen 2, which sounds ridiculous I know but the song ‘show yourself’ truly did give me chills. I could feel how she felt. Even though it’s just a movie, a kids one at that, it’s a spiritual song. And it helped me figure out what I believe in.

Yep, the "kill everyone" challenge continues, with Windhelm being the first big city to fall. (I don't count Falkreath which died pretty early-game, since it's small.) I debated on how much wiggle room the challenge has when I picked up Boethiah's quest, since it requires getting someone to follow you... yeah, they technically die shortly thereafter but, hmm.

Meanwhile in Windhelm, Nurelion glitched and wouldn't move after his initial dialogue with his underling, and stayed happily standing while dead too. Then as I was killing off the main tavern, one dude just sat there watching patron after patron mysteriously fall over. I realized he was a hireling, and thought it was pretty fitting he didn't seem to care about the carnage around him. Thus, Stenvar found himself a bit richer for about sixty seconds and I successfully progressed Boethiah's quest to bag ye olde Ebony Mail. I also caught a fare to Solstheim and thanked the captain with an arrow to the everything, because now I can fast-travel between continents and mess up Raven Rock later.

Since kiddos can't be killed even with the code I'm using, I picked up the Dark Brotherhood quest but wasn't sure how far it would get because the courier kinda died ages ago and there appears to only be one courier NPC in the game. Welp, off to Riften, which was a pain in the tush due to Brynjolf being fully invincible with uncanny eyesight, but at some point he glitched into starting the Thieves Guild quest and after forcing me into convo at the tavern, he was killable... as was half his guild but sadly I can't get to the rest of 'em due to the quest-locked cabinet door. But wouldn't ya know... took a nap some time after killing the Dark Brotherhood quest target and boom... transition successful! Next session, we see if I can walk into their lair or not. Sithis knocks, it's time to clean house.

You were exhausted, to say the least. You were overwhelmed and felt like you hadn’t been able to catch a break since you started your new job. It was physically and emotionally draining you, but you knew once you had settled into a routine with them it would get better. You just wished that it could come sooner rather than later.

When you finally walked through the door after work, all you want to do is just lay down and relax, but Jack has other ideas for you. As soon as you told him you were finally on your way, he turned the shower on so it was ready when you got home, and he popped your towel into the dryer so it was nice and warm. He was waiting for you at the door, taking your keys and jacket from you and putting them where they needed to go as you stepped out of your shoes. He gently took your hand in his own and began guiding you down the hall.

“Jack,” You whined, “I just want to lay down.”

“Baby, you need to shower. Who knows what’s all over you from work,” He pointed out, casting a soft glance at you before tugging you into the bathroom.

Your brows furrowed in confusion when you noticed that the mirror had already fogged over quite a bit and that there was fresh lavender tied over the shower head. Jack didn’t leave much room or time for you to question anything before he was gesturing for you to hold your arms up so he could take your shirt off of you. You let him help you shed your clothes, the confusion in your chest shifting to something more warm and relieving.

Jack places a soft and tender kiss to your forehead before he helps you into the shower, whispering something about being right back before he darts off. You let the water run over your head, down your back and chest as you wash away the stress of the last few days. You couldn’t help but let tears spill down your cheeks as you let all of the emotions you’ve kept pushed away break free.

“Jack,” You sniffle when you heard the door open again, “Can you come in with me? I really need you right now.”

Jacks only response is the sound of his shirt and sweatpants quietly thudding against the floor before he pulls the curtain back and steps into the tub. He’s instantly spinning you around and tugging you into his chest, one hand rubbing circles on your back while the other tangles itself in your hair. You wrap your arms around him and pull him even closer than he already was as water rains against your back.

“I got you, baby. You’re okay,” He whispered against your head, his own heart aching as you cry into his chest, “I love you so much. You’re doing such a great job, you know? I know it’s hard right now, but you’re doing so good.”

You glance up at him, and as soon as he sees your red eyes and tear stained cheeks, he’s cupping your face in his hands. His thumbs are wiping away the tears that still find their escape before bringing his lips to your own in a tender kiss. You let yourself melt into him, fingers winding through his hair as you press yourself against his body. As Jack kissed you with all of the love he had, you felt your stress and worries float off of you, and that was all you could ask for.

During your relationship with Jack, you realize he doesn't have a single true love language. There's not only one way he expresses his love and admiration for you.

Jack adores physical touch. A hand on your back when he's passing you in the kitchen, paired with a kiss to your neck or shoulder or cheek. He also lives for acts of service and gift giving. He makes sure to bring something back for you if he's on a roadie. He makes you breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers to grab a snack for you when you're watching movies together. He knows your favorite foods and your favorite everything's and so casually mentions it, causing you to swoon and kiss his cheeks.

Words of affirmation give him life. Jack will die if he doesn't praise you at least 10 times a day. He's always encouraging you, pushing you to become the best version of yourself. He's always there to hug and kiss away your tears, giving them space before letting you in on his god-like view of you. And quality time is practically his favorite. He just likes being near you, spending days on the beach with you, the both of you sharing a picnic that you'd domestically created together the morning before. He loves to do house chores with you; cooking, cleaning, laundry.

Life with you is something Jack hadn't imagined himself having. He lives for the late mornings where you snuggle closer to his chest and sleepily talk to him until your words die down to deep breaths. He lives for the morning routine you've both created, how easily you two move around the spacious bathroom, both in each other's space but out of each other's way. Jack doesn't have a favorite form of a love language, but quality time comes to him the easiest, so maybe it takes the cake
