today I messed around in vocaloid 2 (vocaloid 2 Miku dark is my FAVORITE) and made Miku sing rudimentary Japanese phrases I learned in school and it was tiny but I did it and I'm proud of myself. making music in any capacity is my biggest dream but I don't ever take steps towards that goal because I don't know where to start and I'm scared. but today showed me I can do it and it's more accessible than I thought!!!

oh omg i was lookin at the notes on this post and i have to screenshot this and show you all, it's too good of a pro-tip. i've never personally encountered a patron catalog where u can search by shelf location, but if u either a) find something specific in the online catalog and it's in storage you can check it out by either placing a hold on it or just asking at the circ desk or b) want a list of like a specific author or type of work or something where it would narrow it down to a relatively short list, i bet someone in reference would be willing to give you a list of all the titles they have in storage. im also just obsessed w the idea of deliberately checking out books from the corners of shelves im gonna start doing that

Musescore really doesn't understand the concept of "undo reverts everything you just did to its previous state".

Things it won't undo properly:

Lyric placement when you move one lyric and something else between lines with [x] command. (at least) one of the lyrics ends up in the middle of the staff.

Small adjustments that involve pushing one staff off the page to the next page. [1]

Preceding hyphenation when you delete a lyric block (doesn't come back), although any hyphenation after gets restored.

Notes:

[1] There also does not exist a "no, force that measure onto the previous system". You can manually adjust each measure to make things squish together in the hopes that the measure will move over. But otherwise, no, you can say "go to next system" but not the reverse.

[2] Other bug: if you try to select a block of text with the selection filter on "lyrics" only, it will sometimes grab breath marks. Also, it will not grab the lyrics (sometimes) if the selection has things other than lyrics. Despite the selection filter being on.
