Hey, so here’s a fun accessibility thing I just learned. If you use the “Speak Selection” option (or a screen reader) on iOS, you can teach it to pronounce things correctly. Go to

Settings -> Accessibility -> Spoken Content -> Pronunciations

and you can set custom pronunciations for any word the screen reader voice doesn’t pronounce right. I use the iOS “Speak” button in the Copy/Paste menu a lot to check for typos and generally make sure my grammar is compatible with text-to-speech programs, so occasionally I stumble across a word that the Siri Voice just butchers. Now I can correct it, and that’s pretty neat!

So I checked the new couple’s relationship status and Lucian already wants to get married to his new man. Even Knox (the one who confessed) is still in the default, base level of love.

Then, to top everything off, Siobhan just got a letter saying that someone wants to see her on the roof. We go, and who’s there? Knox. He gives her a piece of paper, saying he “wrote this poem about [her],” and then bolts.

Then we go back inside, and I checked in Knox’s apartment, and him and Lucian are now in there together (they weren’t before I went to Siobhan’s), and when they see me peeping, they panic and look away.

The Gods of Tomodachi are chewing up and spitting out Siobahn. I’ve never seen such looney toons ass misfortune, in this game. 😭

Absolutely SCREAMING. I just had a Tomodachi Life Mii ask another Mii (who was already in a relationship) to be their sweetheart. I was like, “Yeah, he’s gonna get rejected. They always say no when they’re already taken, but what’s the harm. Let the drama reign.”

THAT DIDN’T HAPPEN!! The other Mii said sure, and now the original couple are ex-sweethearts. That’s not the kinda drama I was expecting!

The other partner has a FULL sadness bar. Worst part is, she doesn’t even hate him. Their relationship status is “No Hard Feelings.” Lucian fully dumped Siobhan’s ass for another man, and she said “that’s fair, but I’m still gonna cry.” 😭😭 /j

I feel so bad now, but also this is so juicy. 💀

I never really played around with the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing New Leaf since I didn’t really understand how it worked as a kid. Now that I do, however, I’ve kinda realized… it’s absolutely criminal that they took Joan away from us. Daisy Mae is great, don’t get me wrong, but like…

“Stalk Market” is clearly a pun on “Stock Market,” which the Stalk Trade clearly aims to replicate in game.

In the game’s native language (Japanese), the word “Stock” and “Turnip” are very similar. Therefore, the entire concept of trading Turnips comes from a Japanese pun.

When introducing herself, Joan calls herself “Ol’ Sow Joan.” Her name (and species choice) is a fucking pun on Dow Jones, an actual Stock Market Index.

Absolutely everything about the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing is a multi-level pun… but now with Joan gone, there’s just a big gaping hole in this pyramid of puns. I get that she’s old and “has bad knees,” but this is a fictional game. She’s unaging, if you choose to make her so. She’s a crucial part of the punnyness of the Stalk Market. I can’t believe they gave her the chop, just like that.

Oh my fucking god. Solving Siobhan’s post-breakup sadness counted as my 200th Solved Problem. That means I got a News Flash where the Miis were holding a commencement celebration, and guess who was hosting the ceremony? Lucian: Her ex who caused the sadness!

I wish Animal Crossing New Horizons had the same free online play model as Animal Crossing New Leaf. One of the things I really enjoyed about ACNH during the pandemic was Nookazon and being able to interact with others and whatnot. Even today, I kinda find myself wishing I could online games with friends, but $4/month for something that was FREE on the 3DS? Yuck. I hope Pretendo adds ACNL support. I’d love to try it out.

I bought my 3DS one of those silicone inserts for the game cartridge slot, since I’m doing all my gaming via the microSD.

Thing is, the silicone game cartridge insert came with identical black silicone inserts for the charging port and headphone jack. It wasn’t until I was inserting the headphone jack that I realized… this thing is made of silicon… it has a flat base… it’s bumpy for better insertion grip…

I uh… I think I accidentally bought my 3DS a butt plug.

Since I got back into my 3DS, I decided to start playing the original Cooking Mama, and uh… this woman of fucking ruthless. I feel like that old vine of the kid going

I mess up one damn carrot and she’s ready to gut me and turn me into her next dish. One week with Cooking Mama could prepare me for a lifetime of cooking under Gordon Ramsey at a 5-star restaurant.

I started a new Tomodachi Life on my modded 3DS, and I decided to add Sam Reich (with lore accurate height, of course) for shits and giggles, with the intention of absolutely neglecting him out of spite.

I gave him a jail cell room and an orange suit to match. He got to level two, and I gave him a mirror because everything else seemed too exciting. I have ignored him every other time. I moved his apartment to the top right of the building so he was away from everyone, and I couldn’t see him when he needed something. I told every Mii that wanted to meet him no… and then…

All of my female Miis started asking to go out with him. I mean, it was THREE back to back, plus two other Miis trying to set someone up with him twice. I was absolutely livid. I did not create him to lay this much damn pipe.

I eventually just gave in and let the next Mii who asked confess to him. It worked, and I unlocked the “Boy Appeal” ranking or whatever it’s called, and…

I’m gonna blow a fuse. It’s not even close. 🫠
