Desire Grand Prix: City of Gold

I've just uploaded the first chapter of a collaborative Kamen Rider Geats fan-project! It depicts a previous round of the DGP, in which my collaborators control the supporters (the Ziin/Beroba/etc. equivalents), and can affect the course of the story!

It's partly an excuse for me to do something with my historical hyperfixations--it's set in Constantinople circa the year 650, and features an original crop of player Riders you might find there; meathead thrill-seeking charioteer, preening transgender dancer, scheming con-man and so on.

Also featuring, of course, the crop of future weirdos who're gonna be parasocially arguing over them, of which I've come up with the staff (Game Master, Navigator and so on), but the ascended-fan supporters are, as mentioned, controlled by others, who've got attached enough to draw 'em:

Remin, created and drawn by @bugtransport thinks the whole thing beneath him, he's normal, he's not into this weird reality show...in his public persona. in this safe(?) disguise, though, he's addicted

Uda, created and drawn by a treasured but perma-locked-account friend, has different reasons for wanting to hide their identity; not least among which being it would be /highly/ inappropriate to do anything but admire your idol from afar. right? yeah? haha? guys?

Stick (screen name? is there a difference in the future?), created and drawn by @eclipse-song , is uh, well, y'know, normal. normal I would say

She's here to see yaoi (real), or create it if she has to, and keep the spirit of 2005 alive far into the future

Currently I've uploaded the first chapter, showing the first round--the chaotic melee we see DGP seasons often start with where everyone is rushing to claim Rider powers. The intermission, where the players get to chill a bit and we meet the staff and supporters, will follow soon

We recently finished round 2, so after a bit longer that's also ready to go; the first 'personal round' focused on just our main cast developing their dynamics and facing a boss monster (and one of them dropping out)

So: more to follow! If you're wishing for more of early Geats where the game structure is still intact, you're in luck!

current time: 10:55 am. just woke up after getting back home unreasonably late after a type of airport hell reserved for war criminals

anything you intend to do later: i'm getting picked up to go hiking in a big national park for 3 days in uhhhhh 3-4 hours. bringing my ipad into the great outdoors because i have about 3 separate drafts that i will just forget about and never finish if i don't continue to chip away at them over the next few days. also think it's finally time for me to watch yellowjackets.

anything you recently played or watched: so much manga man. i did a big writeup of all the manga i read last week so i won't expand on that here BUT i've also been listening to a bunch of articles of interest. it's good! and i'm midway through the house in fata morgana which, if it sticks the landing, will probably beat my ass for days. monogatari rewatch. xam'd lost memories. we have fun here

anything you want to play or watch: the list is so long and ever expanding but off the top of my head. tales of the abyss, which i need to play at a friend's house because i don't own the console for it. badlands rumble rewatch. penguindrum with the boys. five thousand different manga. several horror movies that i also need to make plans for and come highly recommended. tetris again
