Made this for Day 1 of Portal Drawtober: “Portal 1 or Portal 2?”

(Guess it also applies to day 2: Favorite character? Cause I Live for GLaDOS!)

Why not both?! I really like Portal 2 of course with it’s more in-depth story and of course our Queen of Aperture’s newer model!

This was an attempt to make a mixed bag version of GLaDOS with a more logical bridge between the games

It was quite worrying walking down the main shopping streets of my city during pride and seeing that barely any of them have any pride flags or anything in the window. Rainbow capitalism will not save us but it is so unnerving when even last year most shops had some kind of bunting in the window and this year it was only three or four. Like idk it feels emblematic of a worsening or idk souring attitude towards queer people that is definitely influenced by rampant transphobia in the uk. Which is why it’s so upsetting when cis queer people join in on transphobia in hopes of distancing themselves from the current social and political undesirability of transness.

#idk idk it just makes me nervous when businesses won’t even trot out a bit of rainbow bunting for one day #like I don’t need McDonald’s to pretend to love gay people but it really does feel like showing support of lgbt people is now seen as a #liability rather than profitable #and I think that that’s ultimately a step back?#idk there’s been a lot of Christian proselytising in town that has been really like gathering audiences and engaging people when most people #used to ignore it and walk right past it and it all just feels a little bit scary #when i say Christian proselytising i mean explicitly homophobic Christian proselytising #which also just sucks to have to hear on your way to work.#I’m a fucking person not a sign of the end times #anyway I had a good time and my city’s pride is quite small and very sweet and it was a good day but like. uh oh.#this has all been said before and better by other people

I just caught up on One Piece and I’m ready to make my report! My verdict is… it’s actually really good gang. 1000+ chapters of weird found family vs. the government in a pirate setting with some really cool and intriguing world building and an incredibly charming cast of characters, literally could not be more up my alley if it was trying. Big fan, so excited to see how this final act plays out over the next five years!

#and then I’m gonna need a lengthy epilogue to revisit all the characters and places that had to be left behind on the adventure #one piece #wanna draw them more #but I’ve been working on my original stuff #so I don’t really have time #but I love them #and I’m so pumped about everything going on right now!#so curious about all the pieces coming together but also the ones being taken off the board!#very interesting that both law and kid have been taken out of play #curious to see how they’ll force their way into the endgame anyways #brain so full of pirates #might clean up my DnDads pirate designs later #but as I said earlier #busy

what a long day

#through a series of events out of our control we had to change plans which meant i didn’t have the car today #and couldn’t take my nanny baby to story time at the bookstore i was like :(!!!!!! about it bc wtf!#I’ve been so busy that i had to dedicate every free moment today to finishing my book club book (which i did! right on time thank you)#also had to run to the grocery store .. I’m about to be behind on drawings if i don’t get at least one done by the weekend #agh and the house is a disaster we’ve both barely been home and have a Need to do our hobbies to feel sane so ugh #However i got caught up on loan payments this week and that’s important. I guess. so this must continue.#really i should give myself credit i nanny five days a week and am preparing for artist alley and also read an entire book today like Girl.#I’m kinda venting now lol but i don’t want to spread myself too thin and get sick and I’m trying to rest but I’m not very good at it #I do however want to be able to do everything i want forever and that kinda costs money

anyway this matters to no one in the larger context of this morning but i’m officially ending my hiatus

#work is less busy and my birthday is coming up #and to be really honest with you guys. i felt disengaged for a while there just bc we didn’t know what was going to happen right like #we knew something was coming but the news was distant and unclear #now that we have a more concrete solid picture of what the next few years are gonna look like i feel Normal again #like ofc sad they’ll be gone for a minute but much more happy that the confusion has dissipated #and i can get back to loving them and creating content for them as per usual #also if i may be annoying really quick #it’s more important than ever to support ccs making content from bangtan archives #i won’t elaborate bc you’ve all heard this a million times already #but truly if you don’t want armyblr to completely disappear over the next few years PLEASE i’m BEGGING #appreciate the ccs we have on here bc it’s rare for a community of this size to go as long as we have #anyways #that’s enough from me #.txt
