Sally's apology to John really struck me as a raw, meaningful parent-to-child apology. She didn't dumb anything down, she didn't lie to soften anything, she claimed all of her actions... he was so young, and Sally reacted to his age not by talking down to him, but by finding a way to describe the whole truth so he could understand
Most importantly I think is how she kept saying that John is a good person. Like...she thought she was about to die. And she didn't spend that time asking John for forgiveness or to remember her in a good light. She dedicated her words to making John feel loved. She spent that precious time giving him something to make sense of it all, to heal somewhere down the line even when she's not there

Zadr week phase 2: dumbass in distress
And a short story I wrote for it :)
It had been 1 week since the truce.
One week since Dib had foolishly thought to give the smelly alien a chance. For one week Dib had put the fate of humanity into the hands of an outsider, and in one week Zim had proven himself trustworthy.
There was no denying that Zim had changed, or maybe its Dib who saw him differently. Knew him better. But for a while Zim had been the only one to listen, to sympathize. The earth was not Zim's motivation, rather, he and Zim shared a driving force.
As much as Dib hated to admit it, it was approval.
Dib still didn’t fully trust the space bug but he had been so yearning for companionship that the desire to fight dwindled on its own. Zim was just a kid…like him. Even though he deserved to be suspended in the glass tube that imprisoned him now, Dib could not help but feel as if the fear and embarassment on the Irkens face was his own.
However, none of this is the reason for the twisting of his gut. The heat rising in his face and the bile in his throat at the sheer disgusting nature of what he was witnessing.
His Father stood in front of the tube gesturing wildly and announcing things to the camera people who crowded his lab.
“Yes as you can see here I have discovered genuine alien life living amongst us.” He boomed to the press. “Until now extraterrestrial entities have been entirely theoretical, but with this discovery I have proved not just the existence but—”
Dib backs away quickly, tuning out his fathers words.
He almost vomits for the 4th time today, his mind reels at the injustice of it all. His father, the man who never believed him for a moment about Zim being an alien, standing in front of the entire world declaring his discovery.
It had happened so fast. Zim had stayed at his house every day since the truce. 'for research, Research I say!' he had proclaimed from on top of the dining room table. Dib had not snickered at the antics. Not even slightly. When Zim had asked to stay over the next day and the next Dib had started to suspect Zim's “base” was a bit more lonely than he let on. It wasn’t a big deal, his dad had never noticed any of the other paranormal happenings that were right under his nose, why would Zim be any different?
All it had taken was one night. Zim had snuck into the kitchen to raid the twice already raided snacks cabinet. Dib didn’t blame him, it must be boring not sleeping every night. Zim had traversed the house without Dibs knowledge, and without knowing about Professor Membranes non-existent sleep schedule.
Zim had not worn his disguise.
Now he was witnessing a nightmare. Dib had thought the worst thing that could happen was Zim's success at taking over the human race. Now he knew at least then no one could say he didn’t try. But now everything he had worked for was uprooted and dismissed. Overshadowed by the prestigious individual who called himself Dibs father.
Dib walks to the living room expecting to find Gaz not caring on the couch. To his surprise she’s not there. He considers going to his room to brood but he doesn’t think he can stand to be among his alien tracking gear right now. He resigns to brood in the living room and hope the press keeps the noise down.
He sits on the couch and assumes the brooding position. Knees tucked to his chest with his elbows resting on them. His fingers steeped in front of his face as he stares intently at the ground. It isnt a very comfortable position but that isnt the point.
He knows he should be happy. Zim is caught, the earth is safe and he’ll finally get to know how Erkins work. His pride has taken a massive hit but that isnt too out of the ordinary in his life, he honestly should have expected this is how things would work out. But he couldn’t shake the thought that it was supposed to be him. He should be the only one to cut Zim open and learn how he worked.
He had chased Zim all over the solar system. Hed matched the Erkin in cunning and technological prowess from day one. Now that Zim was finally defeated and it was time to reap the rewards Dib felt he was the only one who should be congratulated.
He earned this dammit!
As for Zim? He was growing to tolerate him but in the end he still wanted him dead. Zim was a horrible space cockroach who deserved to be cut up and studied for science. But Dib still felt that letting anyone other than Zims designated rival do it…in a way it stripped Zim of a dignified defeat. It was just wrong.
Dib found his mind wandering to Zim, suspended in that tube surrounded and critiqued like an art project. His face held such fear, there were wires and tubes coming out if his pack. His arms had cords pumping a strange liquid into his bloodstream.
Dib's knees started to ache from holding his very productive brooding position, he stretched them out to get the blood flowing back to his toes and found he was no longer brooding.
And his face was wet.
He took a quick survey of the room to find the source of the water. Then the realization hit him like a punch to the gut.
He was crying.
Why?! That was so unlike him! He had dealt with disappointment like this for years without shedding any tears. He wipes his eyes on his coat aggressively and prays Gaz doesn’t pick this moment to return her usual spot on the couch.
He hears footsteps approaching the living room because of course he does, but they aren’t Gaz. The news crew follow Professor membrane into the living room. Trailing so close they don’t notice the young membrane slip into the lab to avoid them.
Without the extra people the lab is eerie. The only light coming from the suspension tank that holds Zim. It casts a green sheen on to the ominous tools and inventions cluttering the lab.
Zim's eyes are closed, his posture is almost relaxed, perhaps he was sleeping? But Irkins don't sleep...
Without thinking Dib steps closer to the tube, placing his hand on the smooth cold glass. He holds it there for a moment watching zim, so still and peaceful, as if he’s already dead.
Zims eyes fly open.
Large compound red spheres suddenly upon him standing out in stark contrast from the green skin of the alien as well as the murky teal liquid hes suspended in.
Dib nearly jumps out of his very mysterious trench coat in his surprise, but he doesn’t look away.
He doesn’t know exactly what he expected Zims expression to be. Maybe one of fear or hatred…betrayal. None of these emotions show in the Erkins large eyes. There is only one message Zims gaze pierces Dib with. A challenge.
'You're going to let that dirt monkey do this?'
Dib stares entranced by that challenging gaze. It holds years of fighting and malice and begrudging mutual respect.
These eyes have haunted Dibs nightmares and thrilled his waking days. It occurs to him the biggest problem he has with Zims capture, perhaps even the reason for his crying.
The thought of never seeing those eyes again.
That horrible gaze turns questioning, wondering why Dibs just standing there. Dibs stomach drops into his shoes at the thought of waking up every day and not thinking about what Zim is doing, how Zim will challenge him, how he can stop Zim. He thinks of coming home every day and doing nothing, going to the taco place and not having to be prepare for casualties. He thinks of life without Zim in it. And its empty.
Dib doesn’t feel his feet move as he backs away from the tank. He doesn’t feel his hand rap around the heavy rubber drumstick sitting conveniently on one of the work tables. Hes watching Zims eyes, his face. It shifts from confusion to fear as Dib swings the drumstick at the cylinder.
He doesn’t hear it when it shatters.
His senses are dulled as he watches Zim collapse to the floor. People stir outside the lab. One second, two seconds go by and Zim doesn’t get up. Dib barely registers the footsteps coming toward the lab. Four seconds and Zim slowly rises to his feet. He tugs weakly at the cords in his arms, unable to break free. Dib just watches the small green creature struggle, unable to decide what to do.
“Oh its just my son, poor insane child—”
His fathers voice brings Dib crashing back to reality. He broke Zim out of the suspension tube. Hes standing in his dads office with a rubber drumstick in his hand and live cameras on him.
His dad starts walking to where Zim is still struggling with the cords. Dib pushes past him ignoring his insulting comments. He pulls the cords out of Zim a little too roughly and grabs him by the hand.
“when I say, we run” his voice doesn’t shake or crack. Uncertainty often plagues his decisions but not now. This isn’t a decision, there are no other choices. Zim is dazed but offers no argument.
“Now”
Dib rushes the reporters hoping bitterly that his stunt makes the news if only to embarrass his father. Zim drags behind on shaky legs but Dib doesn’t slow down. They had to get out of there. He nearly knocks Gaz over in the kitchen on his way out the door.
“Dib!” she growls. He doesn’t have time to explain so he shoots back
“imfinallytakingcontrolofmylifegottagocallyoulaterbyeeee!!”
He nearly takes the door off its hinges as he bursts into the evening air. He looks behind briefly to check on Zim.
Zim is deathly pale and has his free arm rapped tightly around his midsection, but his eyes are fire as he glares ahead determined to keep up with Dibs sprint.
Dib doesn’t know where they're running but he knows its not that god damn house.
His lungs burn but he doesn't stop. His heart is pounding and his mind is buzzing with adrenaline. They’ll go to Zims base, he decides.
Dib let Zim stay over, the least he can do is return the favor.

One More Day 10 years later
I know some people might be bummed by the realization that we’ve been living with the burning garbage pile that is post-One More Day Spider-Man for a full decade now.
So I’d like to make this post for people to look on the bright side of this sorry situation.
To begin with, we have Renew Your Vows.
This isn’t just a big deal because it goes some way to filling that big married/family orientated Spider-Man shaped hole we’ve had since December 2007.
There mere existence of this title and its success at the time of this writing is genuinely important contributors to the hopeful reversal of One More Day. In a day and age where some Marvel titles struggle to make it a full year Renew Your Vows has passed that milestone and so far shows no signs of stopping.
Now I preach caution. This is an out of universe title that just shook up it’s status quo, lost big name and popular writer/artist team in exchange for ones of comparatively lesser status, has a new status quo too similar to other more well known/popular characters and represents something Marvel have been shown to be institutionally opposed to.
So as much as we don’t want it to happen, enjoy the ride while it lasts and be prepared for the series to get cancelled sooner or later, probably within the forthcoming year.
But always remember RYV volume 2 and the original 5 issues have when you really grade them fairly been clear cut successes, both financially, critically and creatively.
All three of those things sing in defiance of Marvel’s basic contentions that:
 a)      An older/married/family man Peter Parker wouldn’t sell well
b)      That an older/married/family man Peter Parker limits storytelling opportunities.
These sentiments are also to a lesser extent echoed in the ASM newspaper strip that has continued to depict a married Spider-Man throughout the post-OMD period, which carried additional weight to it since that has more direct involvement of Stan Lee himself, effectively demonstrating that Spider-Man’s co-creator opposed OMD.
But that ain’t all. However you feel about how they use her, Marvel have clearly demonstrated an at least basic acknowledgement that Mary Jane is a popular character in her own right which greatly helps the cause of reversing OMD. Just 2 years ago her brief appearances in Invincible Iron Man sent TWO issues of that title into multiple printings.
Furthermore let’s remember that ever since Amazing #600 at the earliest and Power Play most recently Marvel have teased the possible reversal of OMD or at least reunion of Peter and Mary Jane as a way to spike sales. And it’s usually worked. Equally they know that pouring salt in that wound gets the fanbase riled up, which in their deluded minds is a good thing.
Marvel KNOW there is a very large and very vocal group of Spider-Man fans out there who WANT the marriage back and they KNOW they can make money off of that. In fact they know that group constitutes the majority, hence why we never got a Peter Parker married to Gwen Stacy or Black Cat Secret Wars mini-series or continuation. And literally every poll ever conducted since 2007 (regardless of their legitimacy) has shown clear cut preference for OMD to be reversed/for Spider-Man to be married to Mary Jane.
That’s only a good thing for the cause.
We can even see some glimmer of hope in unlikely places. As controversial as Michelle was in Spider-Man: Homecoming if she is indeed (as many interpret her to be) a take on Mary Jane Marvel Studios is on some level feeding a mass pop culture incentive for people to know, like and indeed EXPECT Mary Jane in their Spidey media.
The 5 year long Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, despite it’s poor quality, did much the same thing. Even if these also push a teenage Spider-Man they also push a Spider-Man for whom Mary Jane is clearly a part of his life. This goes even moreso for the much anticipated Spider-Man Playstation 4 video game where (to my understanding) Mary Jane is even a playable character!
Want some more good news? It seems two of the biggest and most influential detractors of the Spider Marriage are leaving positions of power. Dan Slott will end a 10 year run on Amazing Spider-Man and hopefully forever leave Spider-Man work behind him. His work was in fact the very first to mean spiritedly rub salt in the wound of Spider Marriage lovers and he has been strongly outspoken against the marriage’s existence and in favour of the need for One More Day. Losing his can only be a good thing for anyone who wants OMD reversed. We are also losing Axel Alonso who is also an opponent of the marriage and has been since his days editing the Spider books. Replacing his as EIC of Marvel is Cebulski who, based upon his work, is at least not actively opposed to the marriage.
 Finally some food for thought.
Consider that sales of Amazing Spider-Man whilst better than the rest of Marvel are still lower than they were during Straczynski’s run when the market place technically was worse off, when there were not as many gimmicks and events artificially inflating sales and the Spider Marriage was both in place and promoted heavily/positively.
Consider that it is inevitable that the powers that be at Marvel comics will someday be replaced by those who are from a generation when the marriage existed and was promoted positively. It is also highly likely that these new people in power will be Spider-Man fans (and therefore likely proponents of the marriage) due to Spider-Man’s perennial popularity which (thanks to films, TV shows, video games, merchandise and a guy named Venom) reached new heights during the years he was married. During this period merchandise and wider media also promoted Mary Jane as Spidey’s key love interest (and even depicted her married to him).
As the current regime has so aptly demonstrated, there is a tendency for better or for worse (usually for worse) for a creative team to try and on some level recreate their childhoods with whatever characters they are working on. This more than anything was the most powerful motivator for OMD, not the nonsense about ‘creative limitations’. Joe Quesada and others within Marvel grew up on an unmarried Spider-Man and never liked the fact that that changed, and so resolved to change it back.
They felt this way in response to, at worst, a C grade Spider-Man story that (to them) upended the Spider-Man they knew and loved. Putting aside how mass Spider-Man fandom at that time felt very differently and were supportive of the marriage, it stands to reason that future generations who grew up with the marriage will feel the same way about what One More Day did to Spider-Man.
Only tenfold because One More Day not only retconned their childhoods, changed the status quo they knew and loved but also led to stories that actively took a piss on what they knew and loved. Oh and isn’t merely a C grade story but widely recognized as one of the absolute WORST Marvel stories of all time and unquestionably THE worst Spider-Man story across his 55 year history.
One way or another, sooner or later, that WILL be erased I promise you.
 Want some proof?
Well for starters way back in 2008 former Spider-Man editor Stephen Wacker outright SAID that in 20 years time (the same time period the marriage lasted) One More Day will probably be undone.
But if you want something more substantial than that look at DC Comics’ history.
Acclaimed comics writer Goeff Johns and former DC EIC Dan Didio have made practically made their careers from taking DC’s characters in directions that reconstruct the status quos of their own childhoods.
But even more significantly than that DC have demonstrated multiple times an ability to course correct their characters even YEARS after they have been taken in controversial directions.
Hal Jordan became a mass murdering villain in the infamous Emerald Twilight storyline of the 1990s before around 10 years later Johns redeemed the character, brought him back to life and manoeuvred him into the role of the main Green Lantern in an acclaimed storyline.
In 2016 DC started to course correct their entire universe after rebooting it in 2011.
After making Wonder Woman unrecognizable DC hired her former writer Greg Rucka to return to the title and reinstate much of the continuity and philosophy that defined her character.
Johns worked his old tricks to have Barry Allan redeemed for causing the reboot in the first place.
But no example should give Spider Marriage fans more hope than Superman’s situation.
In 2011 DC took Superman from a married man in his 30s who staunchly regarded himself as human in spite of his alien heritage and made him a man in his 20s, who’d never been married and felt himself an isolated alien God amongst men. Lois Lane, his iconic lover, was demonized and pushed aside in favour of him dating fellow heroine Wonder Woman thus fulfilling the fanfiction shipper desires of many within DC editorial.
But in 2015 DC RE-introduced the old married Superman and even made him a father. Then they went a step further and had him live in the shadows within the main DC universe, watching his younger counterpart. Then in 2016 they took the bold move of killing off their new 2011 reboot Superman and replacing him with the old Superman. The Superman who now was approaching his 40s, who’d been married for years, had a young pre-teen son and came with a history that had (give or take) lasted between 1986 to 2011.
THAT was who DC made their main Superman, complete with old and beloved Superman scribe Dan Jurgens at the helm.
 And it WORKED.
Sales and critical acclaim greatly increased on the Superman titles.
Then DC went one step further in a 2017 storyline where they outright ERASED the 2011 rebooted version of Superman and essentially within their newly rebooted universe reinstated most of Superman’s history dating back to 1986, effectively RE-canonizing it.
And again...sales and critical acclaim were in a healthier place than before. In fact many Superman fans have declared the past 2 years or so a true renaissance for the character.
DC’s decisions with Superman and it’s success bode incredibly well for the hopes and ambitions most Spider-Man fans have for the eventual reversal of One More Day and the restoration of the Spider-Marriage.
As bad as the past 10 years have been try to bear some of this stuff in mind going into the future.

How the decline in Chinese tourists around the world has hit the luxury sector
Not your common memento store. Melanie Pongratz through Unsplash
Giant teams of Chinese language guests have develop into a pillar of the worldwide tourism trade. Coronavirus has not solely put paid to this monumental supply of revenue for main cities and sights world wide, it’s having an enormous knock-on impact for the luxurious items enterprise.
For any vacationer, shopping for souvenirs is a key a part of the vacation expertise. They is likely to be trinkets akin to keyrings or fridge magnets, a T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan “I
Tumblr media
NY” or a Russian matryoshka doll. However a big variety of Chinese language vacationers desire to spend giant sums on luxurious objects, akin to designer garments and equipment, after they journey abroad.
Roughly one-third of world spending on luxurious items was credited to Chinese language shoppers in 2018. Consultants at Bain predict this to rise to 50% by 2025. Earlier than the coronavirus pandemic, almost all of this £85 billion value of spending (92%) was accomplished exterior the Chinese language mainland .
What’s extra, most of this abroad buying is finished by girls between the ages of 19 and 29, based on a 2018 survey of over 750 million Chinese language folks. From our interviews with many of those girls, it appears clear that because the Chinese language economic system recovers from coronavirus they may return to spending. The place they’re able to journey and spend may have a big effect on financial recoveries from the pandemic.
The woke up technology
In China, demographic cohorts are outlined by many years. Moderately than millennials or technology Z, in China it’s the post-90s technology (these born within the 1990s) which have develop into the core driver of progress for a lot of industries, together with luxurious, leisure and journey retail.
China’s post-90s technology are the direct beneficiaries of the nation’s financial reform that started within the 1980s, which opened up the Chinese language market to the remainder of the world and spurred monumental financial progress by means of the 1990s to right this moment. Ladies, specifically, benefited from rising up at a time when China was extra linked with the remainder of the world and skilled vital cultural modifications, together with a decline within the historic choice for sons. The one-child coverage performed an element on this, too.
In contrast with earlier generations, that are extra family-centred and self-effacing, post-90s Chinese language girls are self-confident, unbiased and well-educated. They’re additionally eager to specific themselves by means of consumerism. This was evident within the conversations we had with high-spending younger girls. For them, shopping for luxurious items was a key a part of their identification and self-expression. When travelling, it was one of the essential elements of their vacation, if not the precise goal for his or her journey.
Tumblr media

Around the globe, folks purchase and show luxurious items – from fancy automobiles to costly watches and purses – as standing symbols. That is particularly the case for the post-90s Chinese language girl who seeks to differentiate herself from others in numerous methods. Vivian*, who’s 30, has a grasp’s diploma and works in finance, instructed us:
Shopping for luxurious branded merchandise could be very private. It’s my purse. I don’t need to appear like everybody else.
Travelling additional afield to Europe is a approach to purchase luxurious items that distinguish themselves from their friends, as totally different designs can be found to these in China. In addition to the premium buying expertise, the folks we spoke to repeatedly talked concerning the significance of getting distinctive objects. Ava, a 23-year-old scholar, stated:
These particular designs by some means are rather more stunning than these fundamental objects which are obtainable in every single place [in China]. In addition they mirror my life-style as a well-travelled particular person. Once I carry it round, folks know I’m particular.
We additionally discovered that for the post-90s Chinese language girl who travels overseas, shopping for designer objects within the nation the place they originated from was seen as a part of the genuine expertise. As Emma, who’s 23 and works in trend, put it:
Shopping for purses in Paris makes me really feel like a French woman. It’s a enjoyable and genuine expertise. It’s a very totally different expertise to buying them in Shenzhen.
‘Revenge spending’
The coronavirus pandemic has not lowered this urge for food amongst China’s rich post-90s technology to journey and spend. A survey from April this yr discovered that just about 60% of this group who had delayed their buy plans would return to spending as soon as the outbreak was over in China. And a lot of luxurious companies reported an enormous rise in spending following the easing of lockdown restrictions in China, together with jewelry model Tiffany and trend home Burberry.
Whereas abroad journey restrictions will considerably scale back the outbound vacationer market in the interim, many manufacturers can be hoping for the same bout of so-called “revenge spending”, as folks make up for the time spent cooped up in lockdown.
Having been the primary to be hit by coronavirus, China is the primary main economic system to point out a restoration. And because the world’s largest (and nonetheless rising) supply of travellers and luxurious consumers, China would be the engine of the post-pandemic restoration for each these sectors. Each ought to pay attention to what motivates this youthful technology to spend in an effort to faucet into it. Rising pressure between the west and China, together with struggles to include the pandemic within the west, may even see different Asian international locations as the primary to profit from outbound Chinese language vacationers.

WHAT IS SUCCESS?
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines success as a favorable or desired outcome. It also defines success as the attainment of wealth, favor or eminence. Why is success tied to wealth? And why does being successful mean having lots of money and fame? But for me, success shouldn't be defined by how much money you make, how high your grade point average is, or what circle you navigate towards.
There isn't a one-word answer to define what success means. My personal definition of success is being rich without wealth. To be successful it is necessary to be rich, but how can you be rich without an overflowing bank account and a bursting wallet.
Become rich with experiences; ones you can look back upon without any regret. You can be rich with happiness; even when things don't always go as we planned. Have rich connections and bond with your family, friends and peers. Instead of wasting your days away staring at a clock, stop worrying and become rich with time. Keep expanding your mind by being rich with creativity and new ideas. There is so much more to being rich than having money.
Maybe you are going to focus on money rather than living an enriched lifestyle, maybe money is your definition of success but when you look up success in the dictionary I hope you can see past the simply worded definition. It is my hope that you can live a successful lifestyle without focusing on your bank statement and anything, that instead, you can live rich with happiness. Let us live because, let's face the fact, success isn't wealth.

VALUING OUR FAMILY
Family is the single most important part of our life. Ever since, they are the one who teach us about values and serve one another as well as sharing life's joys and sorrow. They said that "The Family is the first essential cell of human society". Family may be has nothing to do with genes but and everything to do with love, compassion and support. We can define the word family in many things and can mean anything. Either your friend is your family or your certain someone.
There's no perfect family in every part of this world. There's always a misunderstanding between each member. However, when you have nowhere else to go, family is your route. Family will welcome you with open arms and and will always forgave you despite all the mistakes you've done.
But let's be practical, not all family are like that. Sometimes, they will dumped you for being 'like this', 'like that', 'why can't you be like that someone'. If you didn't reached their expectations, they will be disappointed of you and accused you of being an irresponsible daughter/son. And that sucks.
No one wants to be ever compared over someone else. We have our own characteristics, prowess and anything. We differs in everything. The question is, 'Would you still follow your parents' order even though you are not happy at all? Would you give up your happiness for them?
One of you might answered YES, because how could we disobeyed them where in fact they are the one who raised and feed us. In specific, we are just scared to be dump thinking we have nowhere else to go and that we are used to have them in our back. And for the word family.
We value our family so much that even sacrificed our own happiness for them. But for they are always right and always will even how hard it is to reach their high expectations.

WHEN YOU ARE INTROVERT
Introvert people never had their comfort zone. They always enjoying spending their time alone. Being an introvert was really hard for me. I may be enjoying being alone but there's this something inside I was lacking about. I only had two real friends in class. One was my cousin and the other one was an otaku. There's this day when my otaku seatmate was absent and I have no pair for the activity. And my other seatmate wants to work with her friend who was on rank no.1.  I just shrugged my shoulders off and started the activity right away. Working without a pair was really hard for me because the activity the teacher have given has a really long solution. But still I finished it.
Being alone without any other friends was no good. I felt a stabbed in my heart as I made my way to my room. I lying in my bed while looking up the ceiling and thinking about how bad my day was. I grabbed my journal from the cabinet and I started to write such emotional and mourning poems I've been keeping for a very long time. I was totally hurt and somewhat disappointed of myself as to why I am like this? Why I feel like I don't belong to them? What's worse is that I don't feel like I even exist when I'm around them.
My every day was no special at all. I woke up early and go to school then go home and write something in my journal. And that repeat endlessly.
But as time passes by, I can say I am better than I was. I concur that by writing poems, I expressed my emotions to I've been keeping for a very long time. It's like an effective medicine that gradually heals me. And with that I started to change myself slowly. I gained friends who genuinely cares for me and treating me like I belong to their group even though we just know each other not so long ago.
I recommend that when you are lonely, Tru to write something from your heart and vent your grudges and hatred through writing. Trust me, just by simply doing it, you will be better.

WHEN DETECTIVE NOVEL HITS YOU
Have you ever heard how cool detective novel is?
I was very late to discover such amazing detective novels. I was used to just chilling and minding my own business but when life's suddenly becomes boring, reading has been my counterpart. With that I also started to lost interest about mere things and anything which I can say a one good effect (my opinion). I was been told by my friends that I am no more my old self. I was stupid, I can say. I has this mind like a ten year old kid when I was in junior high. I lacked of knowledge about simple things and such. I want to pinch my old self for not getting matured early. Somehow I just laughed alone when I remembered how silly I was back then. But we all believe that people do change, don't we?
By reading detective novels, I started to think in a more mature way of solving problems rather than just giving vague explanations of who did that and why they did it. It catched my interest and preferences, I guess. Who wouldn't love mystery novels nowadays?
However, I've also got some quiet good benefits of reading these cool types of book is that-- as what I have experienced, you become the character that is there in the book. My perceptions in life has changed too and I believed it is because of the attitude of the character I was reading. Like I became keen observer, which was not so me. I also know how to crack codes and learned some. I was imagining myself like I was some sort of detective like Sherlock Holmes, Shinichi Kudo and of course, the very cool amongst all, Loki Mendez.
Some of you might think that it really does no good to me but everyone, we have this thing called taste and preferences. Like you can't just force someone to also like what you are liking. I keeps on recommending these books to my friends but it seemed like they were not interested at all. And that makes me disappointed.
If I were to choose amongst mystery novel and a romantic one. I will surely pick the former. Romantic novel is good but mystery novel is far more better.
Things have gone very hard right now because I couldn't buy any of those books displayed in the store. Like it's teasing me because I have no money to spend for them. I was really trying my best to save money to buy those but school payments is dragging me down.
Nonetheless, I believe time will come and I'd have it my hand while making a gargling sound saying 'my precious' using Smeagol's voice. But anyway, no matter how hard the life right now, if I have my book, I wouldn't mind thinking about anything. I can say reading mystery novels has become one of my passion and I will never bothered giving up on it over anything non-sense this world has.

DREAMS OVER FRIENDSHIP? FRIENDSHIP OVER DREAMS?
Dreams and friendship, should you choose between them? Shall you pursue one and leave the other alone? Or, should you pursue your dreams with your friends?
Let's talk about dreaming first. Dreams are meant to be live. I've read and heard about this, which made me think, other people around me reached their dreams without their old friends. I've seen them on their social medias. And others are so busy with their dreams that they've forgotten about their friends while others are busy hanging out with their friends that they've forgotten about their dreams.
Then what is friendship? Is it a bad thing especially when you're achieving goals in life or rather, it would help you to become stronger. Friendship is just a wonderful thing that could happen between people. It's like God has given you another brother or sister that you treat them as you family. Based from what I've experienced, other friends stayed longer than love relationship. Some I've cut them out of my life. The reason why is that they aren't real and bad-mouthed me behind my back. It really does take years before you realize what kind of relationship do you have with this people. Are they too clingy? Are they fake? Leaving you behind? Or a true friend/s that wouldn't leave you in case of trouble?. We can never know.
Dreams and friendship are both wonderful things made by God, through our minds and hearts. These people are talking can tear you apart, can make you cry or laugh. But then at the end of the day, would it be better if you could reach and live your dreams together with your friend. A strong bond that will motivate you to work harder and to achieve more goals together.

Let’s have a look at the Most Exquisite Italian Craftsmanship
via
Italian Craftsmanship always was internationally celebrated. Italians have been known for bithing some of the most talented craftsmen and creative designers the world has eve seen. Their artistic and artisanal excellence is known all over the world. Italy has been a leader in innovative, beautiful, and high-quality design for decades. It’s no wonder that Isaloni (Salone del Mobile.Milano), one of the best and most notorious art and furniture design showcases in the world, is based in Milan since 1961.
Brianza, for example, is considered the craftsmanship-design district, halfway between Milan and Lake Como. It is a mesmerizing place, in which over the past two centuries noble and affluent families built many villas. These constructions required the skillful hands of master artisans and experts which furnished the breathtaking houses. This is the motive why such a fine and precious know-how survived there, as a crucial part of the region’s legacy. Some traditional craftsmanship knowledge can’t even be found anywhere else in Italy.
Since the 1950s, design entrepreneurs come to this area to collaborate with famous Italian and foreign artists, bringing to life of iconic furniture and lighting.
All the best Italian-made craftsmanship products merge together traditional craftsmanship and technology in an extremely detailed and almost perfect way. Artisan expertise has an irreplaceable value which allows delicate finishing details and final touches in all manufactured pieces. Human hands are capable of sensitivity and emotion while maintaining almost industrial precision.
Each hand-crafted art piece is truly unique since it is not being mass-produced. Every small little detail embraces the authenticity of it’s material and maker, a perfection in each flaw are featured.
The popular saying “Love French. Drive German. Dress Italian” already assures us of the high quality of Italian design and craftsmanship. Just to name a few, Berluti, Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Etro, Fendi, Gucci, Armani, Kiton, Loro Piana, Paul Evans, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, and, of course, Versace, are all celebrated luxury brands with Italian origins. In luxury furniture and acessories we can also find Moooi and Swarovski, among many others.
Thanks to the nonstop evolution of technology, there are a million ways to use chemicals, for example, to tan leather. However, the best leather in the world is made by Italian tanners who use millennia-old traditions of au natural liming and dying. The result is a material that’s sturdier than any other on the market, as we can see in genuinely Italian-crafted shoes, which all have also a beautiful hand-painted finish. Also, most fabric mills use water that’s saturated with salt and minerals, which leads to a fabric that’s covered in a thin, color-quashing layer. But Italian fabric mills are usually located in the North, an outstanding region in the south of Swiss Alp glaciers. Craftsmanship Italian mills use pure water to produce fabric, that’s why you won’t find a single thread covered in undesirable substances.
Some companies have been around longer than entire nations. In fact, Vitale Barberis Canonico, a family-run fabric mill in Biella, the main textile supplier for the tailor maestros at Zegn, is working for fifteen generations, since the 1600s.
Handcrafting any piece is a slow and detailed process, which requires a burning passion for craftsmanship. Artisans are almost wizards, dedicating their lives to the magic of building extraordinary art with their own hands. A hand-crafted project can take weeks, months, years to be finished.
In 2009, the Italian parliament passed a law prohibiting the use of the phrase “Made in Italy” on any product label unless the product is actually made in Italy, from start to finish. This was a strategy to protect the country’s precious reputation as a creator of the finest craftsmanship products.
From the columns of ancient Rome to Michelangelo’s David, style is carved into the stone of Italian life. There’s even a term for it: “La belle figura”, which literally means “the beautiful figure”, yet represents a life style admired and followed, a trend, at all times and in all ways.
Italian-crafted goods can handle really well the passage of time. Vintage cloths and furniture are always, always en vogue, especially if they are handcrafted, high-quality, designer-made items.
From Leonardo da Vinci to Poltrona Frau armchairs, from Armani and Prada to Tiramisu cake. Italians have several beautiful specific products of the highest level made by small producers, artists and artisans everywhere in the country. Pursuing a family tradition, innovating, creating, finding new styles and raising quality is in the Italian blood, characteristics which will lead the country to a bright future.

Fascinating Murano Traditional Glassworks
One of the most relevant examples of Italian excellent craftsmanship is the Venetian Glass, created for over 1500 years and with production focused in the island of Murano since the 13th century. Nowadays, Murano is known for its artistic glassworks, but it also has a long history of innovations in glassblowing and is Europe’s major glassmaking center. During the 15th century, Murano glassmakers created cristallo, and almost transparent glass, considered the finest glass in the world. They also developed a white glass called lattimo which resembled porcelain. Later, Murano also became Europe’s finest mirror’s production center.
Venice was controlled by the Eastern Roman Empire, but eventually became an independent city-state which flourished as a craftsmanship trading center and seaport. The city’s alliances with the Middle East created opportunities for the glassmakers to learn with more advanced countries as Syria and Egypt. Venetian glassmaking factories existed since the 8th century, but they started to be controlled by Murano in the beginning of 1291.
Glass factories often caught fire, so removing them from the city and locating them in an island avoided major fire disasters for the populations. It is known that Venetian glassmakers protect secret recipes and methods for making glass, which are still treasured in Murano.
The island popularity peaked in the 15th and 16th centuries. Venice’s dominance in trade along the Mediterranean Sea created a wealthy merchant class that was a strong connoisseur of the arts. The demand for glassworks increased. The spread of glassmaking talent among Europe eventually lessened the importance of Venice and its Murano glassmakers, especially since Napoleon Bonaparte’s defeat in 1797. However, Murano glassmaking began to recover in the 1920s and today the island is home to numerous glass factories and a few individual artists’ studios. Murano’s Museo del Vetro (Glass Museum) in the Palazzo Giustinian showcases the history of glassmaking as well as glass masterpieces from Egyptian times to the present day.

Fornasetti found her face in a 19th-century magazine. Other usual characteristics of his work include the heavy use of black and white, the sun and time. His style evokes Greek and Roman architecture, by which he was heavily influenced. Nowadays, it is frequent to see Fornasetti’s style in fashion and accessories such as scarves, ties, lamps, furniture, china plates and tables.
Talented contemporary Italian master artisans include, for example, Simone Cenedese (glass sculptor), Massimo Lunardon(lampworker), Cesare Toffolo (lampworker), Simone Crestani (glassworker), Lucio Bubacco (lampworker) and Giovanni Corvaja(goldsmith).

During his career, four decades filled with projects in architecture, urban planning, interior, exhibition, and industrial design, Gaetano Pesce, the architect, and designer, conceived public and private masterpieces in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. In all his work, he expresses his guiding principle: modernism is less a style than a method for interpreting the present and hinting at the future in which individuality is preserved and celebrated.
Born in La Spezia, Italy, in 1939, Pesce studied Architecture at the University of Venice between 1958 and 1963. He taught architecture at the Institut d’Architecture et d’Etudes Urbaines in Strasbourg, France, for 28 years, at the Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, at the Domus Academy in Milan, at the Polytechnic of Hong Kong, at the Architectural School of Sao Paulo and at the Cooper Union in New York City, where he made his home since 1980, after living in Venice, London, Helsinki, and Paris.

Israel Prize from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 2009. Pesce’s experience is global, his innovations are always groundbreaking. Boundaries between art, design, and industry seem irrelevant to him, as art is most certainly not something created and put on a pedestal: art is a product, it is our creative response to the needs of the time we live in.
