the way i literally still havent decided if lupe/carson represents pride or prejudice bc they really BOTH do and ik thats the way in the book but ppl still agree liz is prej and darcy is pride......
#loik i was goinna use it for a gif but i still dk#i literally swap round each time#the quality of having a high opinion of ones importance. like. they both do in an untrue way.#they both dont believe in themselves but believe in themselves too much bc they Have to#and lupe is too proud to admit defeat otherwise she wont be important#but carson is never really prejudice towards lupe in the way she doesnt have her own preconception of her like she WANTS to be friends w her#and even looks out for her (regrding her arm and defending her to dove at his car)#but does she just assume shes up doves ass bc thts what she was told#is that her prejudice#making that assumption without getting to know her and ask her about it#and lupe doesnt want to hate carson either but her preconcieved notion is that shes excluding her and hates her bc white married woman#when thats not the case at all she wanted her to come to practises !!#and thats her prejudice by having an idea of carson based on assumptions#but would i say carson is prideful ?? she is at times as she takes on the coach role but her role is important in helping the team#idk if it rly gets in her head to that extent#shes too proud to admit lupe may be a better coach than her#which causes her to stop lupe from contributing and makes them lose the game and fist fight
