#but i didn't know Diana couldn't fly
Note
I discovered my best friend is following ARO on Instagram. When I confronted her over this horrific betrayal, she said, “I think I like her now!” My devastation knows no bounds.
I was discussing this with my boss, a fellow royal watcher, and we decided I need to make a PowerPoint presentation, complete with citations (we are lawyers, after all), “shining a light” on MM’s numerous atrocities and proven lies over the years. I thought you would be invaluable in such a venture. Any suggestions to include would be very much appreciated!
Old ask from March 18th
Ok, so I didn't mean to sit on this one for (checks calendar) 6 MONTHS. ohhh, that's worse than I thought. Sorry, anon. Your ask got completely buried.

Memories [S. R]
Spencer Reid x fem!reader
word count: 4k
summary: the case of the self-appointed Fisher King comes with too many sentimental implications and you discover that you and Spencer had more in common than you imagined.
warnings: mention of mental illness and some trauma
A/N: directly based on 2x01 of the series "The Fisher King" part 2

To say that you were worried about the case was an understatement, you were actually terrified of what might happen. An unsub holding a hostage, who was also her daughter, and who knew so much about each member of the team, was worrying in itself. But Elle being in a hospital dying, the case being so tied to Reid's life, and you being so stupidly far from knowing where Randall Garner was, was what made you want to throw up everything you'd eaten during your interrupted vacation.
The team, as always, had split up and throughout the investigation you had stayed with Spencer and Garcia to try to crack the riddle, using the man's brain, the woman's internet find-anything skills, and your vast knowledge of the world of codes and literature. During that period you never believed that the doctor's mother would be involved, much less did you think that she would find herself in the… condition she was in. Throughout the time she was there, he treated her sweetly and calmly, but you couldn't help noticing the discomfort that was palpable in the environment. Not that he was ashamed of her, of course, although you figured he didn't visit her very often and it was obviously not her intention for the entire BAU to find out that her mother was a schizophrenic who was in a sanatorium.
You remembered, hours ago, asking Garcia to let you tell the man that his mother was fine when he requested a plane to bring her to Virginia, and all day you had that conversation etched in your mind like a tattoo on your skin.
"Your mom it's ok" you had said, approaching her desk and leaning on it to look at it "Agents picked her up. She's flying here right now” you completed, although he seemed too amused with the piece of evidence that he had in his hand and then you felt the need to say something else “How are you?”
"I feel kind of dumb, to tell you the truth," he replied. Most of the time he avoided looking at you, but you had already gotten used to it “I forgot she used to always read me this poem. And I think that I should have realized sooner than that”
"Why?"
“Nobody knows things like the fact that JJ collects butterflies except for me,” he said, with a guilt-tinged shrug. “People tell me their secrets all the time. Think it's because they know I don't have anyone to betray them to… except… my mother. I... I tell her pretty much everything”
"It’s fine”
“Do you know that I write her a letter every day?”
"That's very nice," you said sincerely, for the idea of the man carefully writing a letter to tell his mother about the day was a sweet image to imagine.
“It depends on why I write her”
"What do you mean?"
“I write her letters so I won't feel so guilty about not visiting her,” Reid added. If it hadn't been for that case, probably you, or anyone, would have known that his mother was hospitalized and you thought it was completely logical that he didn't want others to find out about that part of his life about him, including that he didn’t visit her. Spencer was always available for everything, always working, always alone in his apartment and now that you knew about Diana you understood why. He waited a moment and then finally made eye contact with you, looking somewhat fearful “Did you know that schizophrenia is genetically passed?”
And when he mentioned that your world fell apart. You understood that this was the reason why he didn't go with her; because he was afraid. You didn't know how to react, at least not at that moment, and you just looked at him sadly, feeling your own heart tighten a little at unfortunate memories.
Although, for work reasons, the talk hadn't gone any further than that, you'd thought about it all along, even now that you were all gathered to put the last pieces together of what you hoped would be a successful puzzle.
"Nevada? So we don't even know what state he's in?” Hotch muttered, already quite frustrated at how fruitless the search was turning out. There was little time left and you all knew it.
“I'll search the tax records, see if he owns any property”
"Excuse me," Diana Reid intervened from the chair next to the blackboard and her son practically jumped to try and stop her.
"Mom, do you know we're..."
“Just before the agents got me from the hospital, a man delivered this to me” she continued, ignoring “It's a photo of a house with an address on the back”
After showing her direction she turned the image and you saw what was a house that looked just like a castle, with illuminated windows, trees around, and a night sky.
“Shiloh, Virginia?”
“That's only 10 miles from here”
"Well, there's no time to waste. Morgan and Reid are coming with me”
"I want to go too," you said immediately. Something about the whole thing gave you a very bad feeling and you wished you could help in any way you could, but you were surprised to see that Spencer was the first to oppose your request.
“We don't want anyone else to get hurt, Y/N,” Morgan added, his voice almost pleading for you to obey Hotch's orders. You were in no position to demand a ride and only agreed because you knew that an argument would only take away valuable time. “We have to get ready. Reid, let's go.”
"I'll be back soon, mom"
"I'll stay with her" you suggested, hastening to take a step towards him, in an attempt to continue your mission to help.
"Are you sure?"
"Of course," you said to reassure him. Diana already seemed quite satisfied with the fact that you were going to accompany her and you still didn't know why “Go. And be careful, please."
"I will" he nodded and immediately went after Morgan and Hotch, the three of them leaving the room to carry out the rescue mission. You had your heart in your hand for thinking about what could happen to them and only the woman's voice brought you back to reality.
"I'm glad you're the one who stays"
"Really?" you asked, somewhat flattered to think that she had liked you within a couple of hours of knowing you.
"Spencer talks to me about you all the time" she confessed and both you and the other two women present widened their eyes in surprise “He said you like literature"
"Yeah, I'd say so," you muttered, trying to smile at her to hide the nervous wreck you were, partly because of concern for your partners and partly because of what she had just told you.
"He's going to be fine, right?"
By God you hoped so. You didn't know what you would do if he got hurt or… he just didn't come back from there.
"Yes, I promise" you managed to say, as serenely as possible to try to keep your companion calm "And if you tell me about your favorite book? I imagine it will be a good one,” you said kindly, taking her arm and leading her to a couch where the two of you could sit. You knew that part of suggesting the talk was to distract yourself from the bleak outlook and thus kill time until the team returned.
Waiting was all you could do.
Tumblr media
Diana had talked to you for a while until she ended up finding it more interesting to write in her notebook so you decided not to bother her, although she left you silent and ready for anxiety to grip you tight. After about an hour JJ herself had come to tell you that Elle was safe after surgery and you swore you could have cried with happiness when you found out. So, the pain that stayed in your chest was just from waiting for news from the three remaining agents and when what felt like an eternity passed without receiving any reports you couldn't take it anymore and apologized to Diana to leave the room. with the excuse that you needed to go to the bathroom. You were confident that she would not be a suicidal or aggressive patient, but you still wanted to hurry to get back to her as soon as possible, and when you had barely walked a section of the corridor you met a gangly figure who was already on his way to look for you.
"Rebeca?"
“She's safe” was the first thing you said, making the knot in your stomach finally dissolve “But Randall died. He blew himself up,” he continued, and you thought you wished you had heard a better outcome, even if the man was a criminal “And my mom?”
"Calm. Writing” you assured him, taking a few steps towards him to get a better look at him. He was dirty and what would later be a bruise could be seen on the left side of his face, but other than that he seemed to be safe and sound. "Is everyone there okay?"
"Yes," he breathed out. It was a relief to know that, it was a relief that things were finally over and that no one had been lost.
“I'm so grateful to hear that, Reid,” you said. You stretched your fingers up to his side and ran the tips over the mark that was beginning to form. "Does it hurt a lot?"
"No," he assured you, with a tight-lipped smile.
"Your mother. It will make her happy to know that you're back" you murmured immediately, and tried to go back the way you had come to go tell him, but he held out a hand to stop you "What's wrong?"
"Do you think I could take a moment before going with her?" he asked you and you retraced your steps to face him, still not letting go of his hand. You nodded and he sat on the floor with his legs drawn up and his back leaning against the wall in an attempt to calm down a bit from the adrenaline rush of all the previous events. You dropped down next to him in the same position and looked at his profile, thinking that if you had something to say, now was the time to talk.
“She told me you talk about me all the time,” you ventured, and he bit back an embarrassed smile.
"You weren't supposed to have found out about that"
"So you say bad things about me?"
"She didn't tell you?"
"No" you answered kindly.
"It's a relief"
“So these are definitely bad things, huh,” you teased, pushing your shoulder against his and seeing him shake his head slightly, too embarrassed to admit what he had written to his mother about you. You were silent for a moment as it didn’t seem that he had any intention of getting up to cross to the meeting room, you spoke again "Do you really not want to see her?"
“It's not that I don't want to see her, it's just that dealing with everything sometimes is so… so hard. You wouldn't understand,” he told you, his voice threatening to crack at any moment. You took a deep breath before opening your mouth to reply and the lonely hallway muffled your words, which were barely a whisper.
"What do you know about Alzheimer, Reid?" saying this, he turned a little to look at you, just in case he had misheard, but he realized that now it was you who wasn't looking at him.
"Excuse me?"
"Alzheimer" you repeated.
"Huh, it's a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior," he replied, still not quite sure why you were asking, “It is progressive, which means dementia symptoms gradually worsen over the years, and it is also the sixth leading cause of death in the United States. Live an average of eight years after symptoms become apparent, but survival can range from four to 20 years, depending on age and other health conditions. There is currently no cure."
“Have you ever lived with someone who has it?” you exclaimed and he shook his head. It was easier to look directly at you when you were the one who looked away “There are experimental treatments that reduce symptoms, but none are totally effective, appearing early in life in only about 5% to 6% of people. Although there is no defined cause, the genetic factor can affect you if you had a direct relative who suffered from early Alzheimer's” you exclaimed. He wanted to ask you why you were doing this exchange of information, but he thought it impolite to do so, so he just kept quiet "You said earlier that people tell you their secrets because you have no one to tell them to, but I'm sure it's not because that. We trust you because you are kind, understanding, but above all a good friend who we know will never judge us" you took a moment to take a deep breath again, feeling the nervousness running from the tip of your feet to your head and also to gather something of courage "I personally tell you because I am very afraid of starting to forget them"
It all clicked in Spencer's mind in a split second and he wished he was misreading things, searching your gaze so he could identify something that indicated you didn't mean what he was assuming.
"You…?” he started to say, but the question died on the tip of his tongue.
“It was my father. He was barely 35 years old when it all started, it was with the time he forgot to come to his birthday party. I remember it perfectly, he hadn't been feeling well for weeks due to the stress of work and the company decided to run all kinds of tests on him, without finding anything to worry about, so we just ignored it. But the symptoms recurred: he was disoriented, discouraged, sometimes he became aggressive with the family and forgot plans or things that we had told him. When he almost crushed one of his colleagues with a machine that he forgot that he was working, the company decided to give him a permanent break and we began to worry.
»By 36 it was already a fact that it was the beginnings of dementia. The doctors were surprised by the diagnosis because it is not very common to find the disease in patients of his age and for more explanations that we tried to find, we didn’t find any other. They prescribed a treatment that only kept him calm and it got to a point where it felt inhuman to drug him daily, and about two years after he got the diagnosis my mom decided it was better to put him in a mental hospital.
I was only fifteen years old at the time, but I already understood everything perfectly. I went to see him every day, after school, talked to him, read my homework to him, and we watched movies together, which to a certain extent made his illness feel tolerable. The worst thing at that point was that he asked me to watch the same movie as the day before or that he asked me if I was nervous about the exam I had done a week ago" you looked at the man just to make sure he was following the story, which that you verified with the way he was looking at you; fully attentive.
“Anyway, the years went by and it got more and more complicated. Sometimes a nurse had to remind her of my name and at some point my mother just gave up, probably when my father completely disowned her and started yelling all over the hospital that a woman was harassing him in her room. I continued to visit him, but when I grew up and entered the FBI academy my hours were cut down considerably, so in recent years I only went to see him once a week.
»At 42 my father no longer knew that I was his daughter, he thought that I was a nurse doing social service by keeping him company. He talked to me all the time about his family and sadly told me that neither his wife nor his daughter had been to see him for a long time, but I assured him that they had both asked me to tell him that they loved him very much and that they would go soon” silent for a moment, careful not to burst into tears, and prepared to finish the story “He died during my first year as a BAU agent. I saw his decline over the years and even at the end I think he left thinking that his family had abandoned him. I don't talk to my mother anymore, because I think she feels very guilty about me for having left me all the burden of taking care of my father. But every day I feel at peace with myself because despite how painful it was to see him, I never left him.
»Many times I cried before entering the hospital and when leaving, thinking that I had to pretend to be able to spend a moment with the person I loved the most and who was now only a ghost of what my father once was. And it was terrible to look at it and think that this was my future, even to this day. They say that reading is a good exercise to reduce risk and that's why I always carry a book wherever I go, that's why I always want to do new things and that's why I strive every day to solve our cases because I don't know when the last. I have gone to specialists who have told me that there is nothing to worry about and that, if I have it, Alzheimer's could last until I am an old woman, but even so I am afraid every day.
If I really get sick and manage to get old, the most likely thing is that I will end up in a sanatorium, but right now what is worth it are the things I do every day. I'm scared, yes, but it's worth fighting for if I can help people in this job and especially if I can live with people like you.
I know you said that I wouldn't understand, but the truth is that of all the people in this building I can assure you that I am the one who can do it best. I know that you can't bear to see her because you are afraid of ending up with her like her and that at the same time you are so worried that you take the time to write everything about your life to her. I'm probably boring you with all this stuff that you never asked me to tell you, but I just wanted to tell you how important it is that you be with your mom. And more than doing it for her, do it for you.
I would only give you one piece of advice, which you can decide to take or not: don't waste your time, Spencer. Your mother loves you very much, go and talk to her, accompany her, listen to everything she has to tell you and forgive her faults if there are any. Because you don't know about her when it may be the last time you see her, either for your health or for hers”
There was total silence. You hadn't noticed until that moment that your cheeks were already wet from crying and you still didn't dare to look at his face. No person knew that part of you, because after your father got worse you had decided not to talk about it with anyone, so you could say that you were practically giving your heart to that man bruised by the mission a few hours ago. Suddenly you thought that perhaps you had talked for too long or that for him it had no relevance and he had only stayed to listen to you because he was not rude enough to leave you talking to yourself. But while your head was drawing the wrong conclusions, something you never expected happened: Spencer extended his hands to you and wrapped you in a hug.
It only took a bit of effort to make their bodies fit perfectly and he clenched the fabric of your knitted sweater in his fists, tucking his head into the crook of your neck to allow you to lean yours against his golden hair. It was as if all the time you had been destined for that particular moment, fused in that embrace that communicated everything that words could no longer express.
He wasn't the person who loved physical contact the most, all of you had noticed that, so hugging him was totally new to you. The feeling of peace that this brought you had no comparison point and the softness of his body covered you completely.
“I had no idea,” he murmured, the sound of his voice muffled by your skin. And Spencer was being completely honest, because he didn't even imagine that you could fully understand him after having lived through such a tragic story. He had understood many things thanks to your story and he was eternally grateful that he had felt the confidence to tell him something like this, so he also thought that maybe it was his turn to be honest with you "What my mom said is true, I always talk to her about you. I tell her that you are the sweetest companion I have ever had, that you always pay attention to me, and that you make sure that I feel comfortable wherever we go. I tell her that you are strong, that I want to be half as brave as you, and I also tell her that I have never felt affection and gratitude for someone as I feel for you, because you have made these two years different from any other time in my life” his words, whispered so close to you and drenched in so much love, only intensified your tears "And as long as my conscience remains intact, I assure you that if I need to remind you of all the secrets you have told me, I will do it"
That, more than a proposal, was a declaration of pure love that promised to reach many years into the future.
"Maybe we'll even end up in the same sanitarium, you and me, huh?" you exclaimed, with a slightly joking tone "And so I will have the opportunity to know your wonders again every day"
You felt on your neck that you managed to get a smile out of him and that made you smile too. That's when he pulled away so he could look at you.
“I think that… I will go with my mother back to Nevada. I guess we both deserve it, don't you think?" he told you and you nodded with a small smile. He didn't want to leave your side, but you got up first and held out your hand to help him do the same.
“She still has enough lucidity to tell me what your favorite food is. Maybe you should eat with her on the plane” you suggested. You didn't want to rob him of any more time he could spend with his mother, so you just wished him luck and started walking in another direction.
"Y/N, before you go" he called out to you. You were already a fair distance away, but it was enough for you to still speak in a small voice. "You know you're not alone, right?"
You smiled as he looked at you with those eyes that only showed sincerity, and you wished you could encapsulate that moment for eternity.
"I know" you replied calmly "And I trust that now you know it too"

Tumblr media
You were playing with the little Robin keychain that came with the menu you got at BatBurger. "Aw! That's so cute, I didn't know Robin could be so cute." You spoke while admiring the toy.
Robin was glaring at you like he had been doing for the last twenty minutes. He didn't like the toy, nor the way you played with it.
"So stupid." He grumbled before eating his veggie burger. You were all sitting together on the roof of one of Gotham's tall buildings, eating your burgers.
Superboy laughed at his situation with food scraps on his face. "I got Batman!" he said, holding up the keychain. He drank his coke while shaking Batman.
"Next time I'll get Red Hood." you said in an excited voice. Red Hood was your favorite, but you couldn't get him first while Robin next to you.
Robin felt enraged. "Why? He's such an idiot." he said in a disgusted tone. He had finished his burger and was waiting for you and Superboy.
You giggled slightly and rolled your eyes at him. "He's not! He's so cool! He never runs away from a fight, he's so cool, his body is so good, he's got muscles and oh my god I wish I could meet him!" You squealed with admiration and listed a bunch of things in one breath.
Robin looked at him with disgust on his face. He didn't understand why you liked Jason. To him, Jason was a total loser.
It seemed a little silly, but Red Hood was your favorite hero. "Well, I wonder if he's handsome?" You talked to yourself while picking up the garbage from your burger.
Robin grimaced and stood up. "He is not, he is very ugly." We all know that's a lie, right? Without waiting for you, he jumped off with a bat-hook towards another roof and jumped away.
"I don't understand what's wrong with him!" you said, rebelling.
Superboy shrugged and rose from the ground. "I think he's jealous." Then he winked and followed Robin without another word.
Not understanding, you quickly followed them. "Hey!" Night flights were very good. Especially with your friends. Your flying races with Jon, imitating Robin while he's bossing you around, eating burgers after long chases, and running around to warm you up in cold weather. It was all fun.
When the patrol ended and everyone started to disperse to their homes, you wanted to wander around for a while longer. You take every opportunity you have to use your powers freely.
As you flew over Washington, the houses with their lights on below looked like stars. The view was interesting, but you had to get back home before it was too late and Diana got worried. You stayed above the clouds to avoid attracting attention as you flew home.
When you got home, you noticed that Diana was getting ready to go somewhere in a hurry. She moved from room to room and you followed her. "Where are you going?" you said curiously.
Diana paused for a moment and turned to you. "Void, he's back. We're going to stop him with the team." she said quickly.
"Okay, I'm ready anyway." You said and held your sword.
Diana shook her head and put a hand on your shoulder. "You're not coming, his goal is to catch you anyway. It would be better if you stayed here." she said and turned to get ready.
You slumped your shoulders in disappointment. "You're right, okay." you said meekly. Of course you won't stay at home, you will follow.
When Diana hurried away, you silently followed after her, keeping some distance between you. She was too thoughtful and focused to notice you.
So it wasn't much of a hassle to follow her. The place where she met Batman and Superman was like an apocalyptic scene. Void's soldiers were everywhere, blood, severed organs, and dead people were scattered like decorations. As if Void was enjoying this, he was watching what was happening from above with satisfaction appearing in his black eyes.
You hid in the clouds to keep yourself away from it, but Void looked right at you, sensing the energy radiated by the relic you wore. You swallowed and hid further into the clouds, but he stared at you with bloodthirstiness, absorbing the dark energy emanating from dead bodies and scared people.
Feeling like you couldn't hide any longer, you pulled out your sword and gripped it tightly. When Void sent a large fireball towards you, you split it in half with your sword and quickly attacked him. When Void quickly retreated, you swung your sword at him once again. This time he caught your sword and smiled. "Hi dear."
You turned your eyes at him and tried to press your sword harder, but it didn't work. Void shattered your sword into pieces, this time he is very powerfully. While you didn't have time to pull away, he grabbed you by the neck and squeezed you. “When someone says hello to you, you have to say hello back, dear.”
When he threw you like dirt, you hit the ground and were dragged away. He screamed in pain with laser beams when he came at you and tried to attack once more. When you looked back in surprise, Robin jumped in front of you and stabbed Void in the eye with his katana. Just like you did before.
When Void stepped back, Robin came to you and extended his hand. "It must be hard being this powerless ." Even though he used a condescending tone towards you, you were happy.
You took his hand and got up. "Thanks." you said gratefully. Superboy landed next to you, punching one palm with the other. “Let's take this bitch down!” Robin grinned when you shouted loudly.
Although Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman saw you, they were too busy to help. There were Void's bloodthirsty soldiers everywhere. Wonder Woman turned to you as she shattered another one with a single punch. "Shivani! Be careful!"
You turned to her for a second and smiled. Your sword was broken, but you didn't necessarily need a sword. As you lunged forward and swung your fist at Void, he turned to you. Superboy took advantage of this by getting behind him and shooting lasers with his eyes. Before Void could realize this, Damian cut off his arm with sword.
You quickly jumped into the air and brought your fists together to deliver a solid blow to Void's head. Before he understand what was happening, you smiled proudly as Void broke the ground and created a dent.
"We did it! We won!" Superboy looked around, see the disappearing Void's soldiers.
You smiled and entered the rift, reaching for Void's necklace, which glowed black. "What's this?" The black stone was shining as if it was drawing you in. You reached up and took it off Void's neck and held it in your hand. It was an heirloom just like yours.
"I think I found something." As you looked hypnotized at the stone that pulled you in, you called out to the other two. Robin quickly jumped down and reached for your shoulder, but suddenly your body started shaking in pain. "Fuck!" You fell to your knees and whimpered in pain.
You screamed in pain as black veins of unknown origin appeared on your body. “Y/N!” You wanted to turn to Damian's shout, but everything suddenly went dark.

A/N: Imma make a part 4 cus I wanna make Bucky suffer
Part 1 Part 2 Part 4
You were at an all-time low, you couldn’t imagine a life without Bucky and it made you miserable.  You started to have fewer customers since the negative attitude in the bakery was not one that made people want to come back.  You couldn’t go back to your family, they thought the bakery was a bad idea in the first place and you could already imagine the shame on their face.  You were all alone with no friends, family, and work.
You didn’t have enough money to pay for rent for the bakery or your home and now you were forced to sell your dream store.  You felt as if your whole world was crumbling from one man.
Bucky had noticed your bakery had now been for sale and he was seeing you in the apartment less and less.  He was starting to worry about you but every night Diana helped him forget about those worries.  So the worry became more of a task put on hold.
You didn’t want to bear the pain anymore so you decided to end it.  You had went to the bridge at the park at midnight.  You didn’t want to be saved or seen.
You felt the whole world slow down, the cold breeze hitting your shoulder. As you jumped you felt your life flashed before you. The instant your body was completely submerged, you froze. The panic talking a complete hold of you.  You realized you didn’t want to die but it was too late.  As your eyes were beginning to close but you saw someone ,a man with wings, an angel, dive into the water.  Then it all went black and you feel as if your body has given up.
At the hospital Sam was pacing around, worried if he was not quick enough to save you.  That’s when Bucky came in asking everyone where you were.
“I’m gone for two weeks and I’m flying back home to see my best friend committing suicide.  How the fuck does that happen” Sam yells at Bucky trying to hold back his anger as much as possible.
“I fucked up.  I fucked up so bad and I pushed her away and I acted like a dick and I-“ Bucky starts ranting on but Sam ignores him.  Sam had finally gotten on good terms with Bucky but it all seemed to crumble.
As Sam was about to comment, the Doctor came in and said you are able to get visits.  Sam rushes in to see you.
“y/n/n what the fuck where you thinking. You scared the hell out of me" Sam admitted, his voice cracking with emotion.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she replied, "I'm sorry, Sam. I didn't mean to put anyone in danger. I just... I felt overwhelmed. I don't even know how I'm alive, it's like an angel rescued me. I don't know if it was real or just my mind playing tricks on me." you chuckle laughing at that foolish thought.
Sam looked at you with a gentle smile, hiding the truth behind his eyes. "That sounds like quite an experience. Sometimes, our minds can create extraordinary things in moments of distress. But what matters is that you're here, safe and sound."
Sam cleared his throat, looking at you with a mix of relief and affection. "Y/n, I can't tell you how happy I am that you're alive and getting better. I was so scared when I found out what happened, and I couldn't bear the thought of losing you."
Sam's eyes glistened with emotion, and he squeezed your hand gently. "You're a strong person, y/n, and you've been through so much. But I want you to know that you don't have to face anything alone. I have a friend who has a friend who is willing to pay for your bakery and I can help around the bakery." Sam says putting his hand on your shoulder as you look in his eyes thinking how lucky you were to have him "You don't have to do this alone."
Sam's grip on your hand tightened, and he looked into your eyes with such intensity that it took your breath away. "Y/n, I can't bear the thought of losing you," he confessed, his voice trembling with emotion. "When I found out you got hurt I realized how much you mean to me, how much I care about you."
"I was so worried, and I couldn't stop thinking about all the things I wanted to tell you," Sam continued, his vulnerability shining through. "If something had happened to you, and I never got the chance to say it, I would regret it for the rest of my life. So, here it is: I love you, y/n, with all my heart. And I promise to always be here for you, no matter what."
"I... I feel the same way, Sam," you replied, your voice filled with emotion. "You've been there for me through everything, and I can't thank you enough for that. You mean so much to me."
Sam smiled, relief was evident in his eyes. "I'm so glad you feel the same way, Y/N. I want to be here for you"
Before the two of you could say more, Sam's phone suddenly rang, interrupting the moment. He gave you an apologetic look. "I'm sorry, I need to take this call. I'll be right back."
As Sam stepped out to take the call, you were left alone in the room with your thoughts. That's when the door opened, and Bucky entered quietly. His expression was one of remorse, and he seemed to hesitate before speaking.
"Y/N, I... I'm sorry," Bucky said, his voice filled with genuine regret. "I should have been there for you, and I should have realized what you were going through. I didn't mean to push you away, and I'm so sorry for not being the friend you needed."
You looked at Bucky, feeling a mix of emotions. Part of you wanted to hear his apology and accept it, but another part of you couldn't forget the pain of his rejection. You remained silent, not knowing what to say.
"I know I messed up, and I don't expect you to forgive me," Bucky continued, his voice filled with sadness. "But I just wanted you to know that I truly am sorry."
Before you could respond, Sam returned to the room, and you could sense the tension between him and Bucky. Sam looked at Bucky for a moment, then at you, his expression softening.
As Sam noticed the lingering tension in the room, he gently squeezed your hand and looked towards the door. "Hey, I think Y/N might need some alone time right now," he suggested, giving Bucky an understanding look.
Bucky glanced at you, his expression conflicted, but he nodded in agreement. "You're right," he said softly, his eyes never leaving yours. "I'll give her some space."
As Bucky turned to leave, you felt a mix of emotions, unsure of what to say or do. Before you could say anything, Sam leaned closer, cupping your face gently with his hand, and pressed a soft kiss on your lips.
Bucky paused for a moment, his hand on the doorknob, and then he turned back to look at you one last time. His expression was a mix of sadness and frustration, and without saying a word, he slammed the door shut behind him.
The hours passed, and Sam stayed by your side, offering quiet companionship and support. Eventually, the fatigue of the day caught up with you, and your eyes grew heavy.
"I think it's time for you to rest," Sam said softly, seeing the exhaustion in your eyes. "I'll be right here if you need anything."
You nodded, feeling grateful for his presence. "Thank you, Sam. You've been amazing," you murmured, already feeling yourself drift off to sleep.
Sam smiled tenderly, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "Sleep well, Y/N," he whispered, his voice a soothing lullaby. "I'll be here when you wake up."

Wonder Woman: Dead Earth
Spoilers
The good: I liked the way this story was executed. Diana's characterization initially was very good: she's merciful, compassionate, loving. Art's good, plot is well-paced, they go pretty deep into Amazon lore instead of a more general DCU stuff--there's no other superheroes aside from Superman and Batman. I liked the new origin DWJ came up for Diana, which adds a Prometheus twist to Diana's existence which for me played well better than "she's Zeus's daughter" and dare I say improves on Perez's girlpower origin.
The bad: I'm so conflicted on how the story develops, because it gets very Zach Snyder. Diana turns out to be eminently corrupt, guilt-ridden, and brooding. The Amazons themselves are massively villainous. Wondy herself is largely responsible for destroying the world. Yeah, there are extenuating circumstances and sympathetic reasons--Diana going bee-zerk with her bracelets removed makes a reappearance from pre-Crisis continuity and really confuses the issue by making her not totally aware of her actions (so was she essentially brainwashed for all that? Should she not feel guilty? Why remove her agency, or put that agency on Hippolyta for telling her to do something she didn't/couldn't know the consequences of?). But the endgame of all of it seems to be to make Diana as broody as Batman, if not more so, and even in an AU... why? Maybe it's me, but I'm a bit sick of these tropes being overused: the Waynes being evil, Krypton being evil, evil Superman... seeing them applied to Wonder Woman doesn't do much to freshen them up.
The weird: Bulletpoints suddenly go!
*The usual role of Phillipus (Diana's trainer, Hippolyta's hard-edged general) goes to Nubia for some reason. I guess because DC was pushing her, but it just makes me feel like she has no real identity of her own if she's getting slotted into Phillipus's role just for the sake of it. And the Wonder Woman movie didn't include Phil either! What, is the bald black lady just too Black Panthery now?
*For a post-apocalyptic world where people have to walk everywhere, everyone sure is able to get from Gotham City to the Fortress of Solitude to Paradise Island in a hurry.
*It's implied/stated that the reason for the conflict is the Amazons worrying that global warming will flood Paradise Island like in Waterworld. I suppose I shouldn't complain about pseudoscience in a comic book, but melting icecaps would only rise the sea level two hundred feet. Inconvenient, certainly, but that's just about the height of one of those cliffs Amazons are always dramatically diving off of. Even if it screwed the rest of the world, well, since when have they been shown to care over much about that?
*On the media literacy website, TV Tropes, someone thinks that Superman redirected a nuke from Smallville to Paradise Island. It seems to me pretty obvious that Supes would just disable a nuke or throw it into space rather than ever throwing it at another populated area, and Diana was raging at him for 'abandoning' the defense of Themyscira to save Smallville, but I am cracking up at the mental image of Superman kicking a nuke away from Smallville and watching it fly towards one tiny island in the Atlantic like

I had a flashback to "humor in the 1990s" tonight and just thought of shows I used to like / will remember or even look up and still laugh at that "kids these days" would find incredibly problematic. Hell, a lot of the humor back then is exactly the kind of stuff that could get you cancelled (especially here on tumblr) today. I remember in seventh and eight grade, it wasn't just the students, but some of the TEACHERS at my school who would make jokes about dead cult members (the Waco standoff happened at that time) and about Jeffery Dahmer's murder-victims (that was in the news, too). TV shows? Saturday Nite Live used to have a skit called "It's Pat!" - the ENTIRE JOKE, the ENTIRE FUCKING JOKE was "We do not know what gender Pat is." I think I saw one or two of these sketches? I didn't want SNL much? The Pat-sketches were made up entirely of people trying to find out whether the very androgynous, nerdy-looking Pat is a man or a woman. That was a source of humor back then. Now when I look back on it... (even assuming that Pat was cis) people hovering around you trying to judge your gender is... pretty creepy? I used to watch In Living Color - the Wayne Bros. minority-answer to SNL with only a couple of token white people. While from a minority perspective, some of their sketches were... would not fly today material. I remember one sketch making fun of Princess Diana's depression and suicidal issues. (A personal ick for me...when Iook back on it). There was a superhero character called "Handi-Man" who was a disabled superhero who was a champion of disabled people (but the humor was incredibly ableist). There was a recurring sketch about a homeless man that made fun of his situation... It was... funny at the time? I laughed then - as a kid? But nowadays, I feel kind of icky - and feel like "Yeah, it's best if people don't try to make stuff like that today." I used to also watch something called The Edge that was on Fox. It was... very twisted. Lots of humor revolving around gruesome, bloody violence (in a fake blood and gore way), but it was still... wow, I used to love that show and I guess that's why I'm so twisted in my humor today. I do think one recurring sketch would be relevant today, though: "The Armed Family" which was about a family of gun-nuts. They'd wind up spooking each other or mistaking each other for home intruders and shooting each other all the time (but coming out with "only flesh wounds" or "Good thing your Dad gave me this bulletproof vest for Christmas!") - Speaking of Christmas, probably their funniest sketch was the one where they killed Santa Claus (home invader)! It ended with a track of children crying. *Chef's kiss!* I mean... that is STILL funny to me, but I can't help but think of how "That...probably couldn't be made today." Then again, Robot Chicken is a recent thing and has that dark kind of humor... I guess I just thought if some people cannot take anime-light-perv humor that was common in the 1990s when they watch old anime, hoooo boy should they stay the Hell away from 1990s late night American sketch-humor.

Marked As Mine - Diana Cavendish x Akko Kagari [One-Shot]
Summary: Diana is sick of Akko giving her attention to everyone who isn't her and she aims to do something about it by marking the Japanese Girl as her own. First, she needed to catch her alone.
Inspired by this image: Image
[Luna Nova Magical Academy]
Diana Cavendish was fed up with the antics of Atsuko Kagari - known as Akko by the entire school. She wasn't mad at the Japanese girl for working on her magic control or learning how to fly her broom properly - no, she was angered by the girl's kind nature towards the other witches in the school. Diana recently asked to court Akko and the girl accepted - they were officially a couple and well known throughout the school; Diana due to her magical prowess and heritage status, and Akko due to her constant fuck ups in the classrooms, but ever since Akko started dating Diana, her skills with magic and potions have been improving slowly but surely. Diana was proud of having Atsuko as her girlfriend and there was nothing anyone could do to tell her otherwise but if there was anything she could change about Akko was her friendly nature to other people who weren't her. Diana wanted Akko's smile to herself and herself alone but it was in the younger witch's nature to be kind to the people around her and that's one thing Diana couldn't stand; Akko belonged to her, as did her smile and kindness, no one else would know that either were like.
Diana was currently in her dorm with a cup of tea in her hands - her roommates were gone for the evening and she was all alone, or she would have been if she hadn't invited Akko for a study session. However, the girl hadn't arrived yet and Diana was getting impatient. Akko knows she didn't like to be kept waiting and she should have been here by now - it didn't take that long to get from her dorm to here. Something must have happened to hold the younger witch up. Suddenly, a knock on the door rang throughout the room and Diana exhaled in relief - Akko was here at last.
"Come in, Akko. We need to have a serious conversation about..." Diana stopped her sentence when the door opened and the person who entered the room wasn't Akko but her roommate - Lotte. "What are you doing here? Where is Akko?" Diana asked with narrowed eyes.
"I-I'm sorry, Diana, but Akko can't come to the study session today." Lotte explained this caused Diana to grind her teeth, showing off her perfect canines.
"Why?" She hissed at the orange-haired girl.
"Well, you see - Sucy needed help with a potion and used Akko as a lab rat, again. Akko had a transformation and now she's waiting for the transformation to wear off." Lotte said as she looked at the clearly pissed-off Cavendish.
"Take me to Akko, now." Diana demanded as she rose from her seat, collecting her wand off her table before walking over to Lotte, who walked out of the room and down the hall. Diana had reached her limit - no one was going to come in between her and Akko again after this.
Akko glared at Sucy, who stood before her shrooms with a smirk on her face. Akko's transformation caused her to grow a blue flower on top of her head where her ponytail once was and it didn't seem to wanna go away anytime soon. Akko folded her arms and glared at her bed when the door opened and Lotte walked into the room, she smiled at her friend but gulped when the other person walked into the room with a glare in her baby blue eyes.
"Atsuko Kagari. Come here now." Diana demanded as she looked at the Japanese girl with her finger gesturing Akko to come to her but the girl didn't move - she was shaking in her clothes at Diana's angered expression.
"I'm good over here. Thanks." Akko squeaked with a smile but Diana's eyes narrowed causing her to gulp again.
"Have it your way then. Sucy. Lotte. Please leave the room, I need some alone time with Akko." Diana said in a dangerously calm voice, causing Lotte to hurry out of the room with Sucy slinking behind her. Once the girls were gone, Diana waved her wand and slammed the door behind them, locking it with magic. Akko knew she was in trouble.
"You have been ignoring me for others. Doing favors for others that cut into my time with you. And now, you've become a lab rat for someone else's experiments when you are mine and mine alone. I have had enough of your antics, Akko; you need to be taught a lesson." Diana said as she looked over to Akko's desk, her eyes falling upon a permanent marker with a smirk, "And I know the best possible way to remind you of who you belong to." Diana walked over to the desk, collected the marker, and strutted over to Akko, before taking the girl's face in her left hand by grabbing her cheeks and chin to keep it still before opening the marker with her teeth, spitting out the top to the ground, and lifted it with her right hand to the center of Akko's forehead.
"Diana?! What are you doing?!" Akko asked as she grabbed Diana's right wrist with her left hand, trying to push the girl's hand away from her forehead but Diana was stronger than Akko.
"Be still, Akko. I'm going to mark you as mine and mine alone so that no one will ever think of approaching you again." Diana said as the tip of the marker touched Akko's forehead and she started writing upon her pale skin: PROPERTY OF DIANA CAVENDISH

In Time. (Levi Ackerman/Attack on Titan Fan Fiction)
Chapter 6: Our Last Best Chance
The two barely dodged the assault, both flying across the roof, hitting their bodies against the hard tiles. The debris from the collision cut across Diana's nose, and a hiss left her lips as she wiped her sleeve across her face. Blood soaked through the fabric, and her eyes widened. Pain shot through Diana's body, but she tried not to let it phase her. She clambered to her feet and rushed to help Mikasa as she noticed Eren; his arm was pulled back, readying another attack.
"Ackerman, Lando, look out!" Ian yelled. He was one of the team leaders, one of whom was not too happy with the decision to use Eren's titan to seal the breach. Diana quickly spun, seeing Eren's titan's fist swinging at Mikasa and herself. Both jumped, Diana using her ODM to pull herself over to another roof, whereas Mikasa used hers to shoot up to Eren's face, stabilising herself by holding onto his hair.
"Hey, Ackerman, stand down now! Get away from him—that's an order!" Ian ordered, angered that the two were still in such close contact with Eren, who was clearly still out of control. Diana watched, blades ready, just in case Eren decided to do something stupid.
"Eren, I know you're in there somewhere; you recognise us!" Mikasa yelled, gesturing down to Diana, her face worried. Eren didn't move for a second. That right, come on!" Diana felt the situation was safe enough for her to join Mikasa on Eren's face. She used her ODM gear to fly over to Eren, landing beside Mikasa, ignoring the protests from her superiors.
"Snap out of it, Eren!" She demanded. "We've got a breach to seal up."
"Eren, listen to me; you're human!" Mikasa yelled, desperately glancing at Diana, who shared an equally distressed look.
"Lando, Ackerman, get out of there!" Ian ordered once more, causing the two to look down. Eren's hand had begun to shake; he was readying for another hit. The two jumped away, using their ODM gear to fly out of the way, watching as Eren's titan punched itself in the face. His titan form then fell to the floor, almost lifeless. Diana stared down at him, worried. This was supposed to be our shot.
"What the hell? You're telling me the kid was a regular titan the whole time." Ian snapped, letting out a defeated sigh. Diana's eyes shot to him, a glare now rested. No, this is our shot.
"Eren!" Mikasa yelled, her face full of worry.
"Captain! We've got two titans bearing down on us from the front, a 10-metre and a 6-metre!" A soldier yelled, causing Diana's eyes to dart around, landing on the incoming 6 metre.
"Twelve metres closing in on us from the rear!" another yelled, and her eyes snapped round again.
"Ian, come on, we've got to get out of here, look at him, the plans a bust!" Mitabi spoke up.
"Agreed, Full withdrawal," Rico added. "We have to leave him as he is." Diana shook her head, getting ready to fight off the incoming Titans. Mikasa was also prepared, turning to her superiors and letting out a low growl. Her glare was one that could turn you to stone.
"Ian snap out of it. What are you waiting for? Hey, it's not like this is your fault. Give the order. This plan was doomed from the start!" Mitabi continued, only making Mikasa and Diana angrier. The two exchanged a look, both knowing that they were willing to carry this out on their own if needed.
"Did we give it our best shot? Sure, whatever, we did the best that we could! But all we've got left is going back over the wall." He finished before going to walk away. Still angered by his lack of faith, Mikasa rushed after him only to be stopped by Ian.
"Easy," Ian warned. "Now's not the time." He continued. Mikasa continued to glare but stood down, and Ian gave her a short nod. Ian then began to call out orders: "Team Rico, take out the 12 metres behind. Team Mitabi and I will handle the front runners."
Rico stared in disbelief. She couldn't believe Ian was still going through with the plan even though it seemed like it had already failed. "Are you nuts?" she snapped at her superior.
"In case you've forgotten, I'm the one in charge." Ian countered. "Now do as you're told, soldier! We're not leaving Jaeger defenceless." He spoke, and Rico stared in shock. "Change of plans, we keep the titans off him until he can be recovered; he's still our best chance; we're not just going to abandon him. We're expendable, he isn't." Diana Smiled at Ian's statement, too right we aren't abandoning him.
"Please don't talk to me about our last best chance!" Rico snapped. He's a failure who countless soldiers have died because of." Diana frowned again. She knew Rico was making a point, but he wasn't a failure yet. "Just look at him, Ian. Are you saying you want more of us to die because of that?" Rico continued her rant, pointing at Eren.
"That's right, down to the last man. If that's what it takes, then so be it!" Ian snapped back.
The two continued to argue back and forth about the chances of survival and if Eren was our best chance. Ian finally gave a speech about how if this mission succeeded, humanity could have a definite way of defeating all the Titans. He then turned to Mikasa and Diana, giving the two a slight nod.
"This is just... this is madness," Rico spoke, turning away, her voice still full of doubt.
"Hey!"
"I think you're right." She admitted, cutting Ian off before he could go on another rant. "If we're to stand, this is the only way, just this once, let's fight a fight that's not just a battle of attrition; let the bastards taste humanity's wrath." Rico finished before continuing to gather her team. Mitabi and his team then began to go after the other 2 Titans.
"Thank you, captain, that was brave." Mikasa thanked, feeling genuinely grateful.
"No, it wasn't," Ian denied. "No thanks needed; the fact of the matter is that I was petrified of the mess you two were about to get into." Diana looked down at his statement, knowing that their plan was, in fact, insane, but she didn't care. This is Eren we're talking about. "You're free now; do your thing," Ian ordered the two.
"Sir!" They responded with a firm nod.
"Go save the man you love!" Ian added, looking at Mikasa, who looked down and blushed. Diana let a slight smirk fall on her face. She knew about Mikasa's feelings, though Mikasa thought she'd hidden them well.
"It's not like that." Mikasa tried to argue, but Ian had already taken off. The two shared a glance before looking down at Eren, preparing themselves to bring him to safety.

I found this scenario for the grouptale underfell group while looking for something else so now I’m posting it because it’s a great scenario
Well, for some context I bet underfell Alphys would be *incredibly* interested in the antis. She knows human souls aren't supposed to be like that, and thus considering her personality probably would have a vested interest in capturing one to examine. Isaac in particular had to dodge her *a lot*, and once got stuck alone in a situation where he was hiding, couldn't fight and couldn't flee because she was looking around for him.
Diana (Dishonesty) managed to get into the area, probably with Hesitance's help, and told Isaac that she had an idea but she didn't know if it was going to work. And if it didn't, it wouldn't end well for him. It was a risky plan, but if it worked it could get rid of Alphys for a long time.
But she had trouble explaining the plan, and it relied *heavily* on **trust**. Something neither of them are good at.
For the plan to work, Isaac *had* to trust her
But Diana's WHOLE trait is *dishonesty*, and he KNOWS that.
He agreed and she snuck away. Ya see, it was so dangerous because it involved *willingly getting spotted by the crazy scientist*. There needed to be a distraction, so he started talking to her and pretending to be semi willing to be civil, though kept his gun up. She was smart enough to not approach him considering what she saw while ~~stalking~~ watching them through the cameras.
For an added bit of information, remember when I said that the souls can combine their abilities? Antis have a far harder time doing this. Their souls are broken, unnatural, and don't work as well as they used to. It is far more dangerous to try to combine these attacks.
Diana's plan was to get Isaac to distract Alphys, so she could safely get behind her. She didn't know much about her powers, but she did know that she can summon glossy stars that are very reflect objects well. She also had noticed that the cave area had a low ceiling that kept crumbling. So her plan was to get Isaac to shoot, have it bounce off the star and into the ceiling above Alphys. She didn't think it'd be *that* strong, just hoped it would be enough to at least trap her. If *any* of this went wrong, Isaac would be *fucked*.
They didn't know what ungodly experiments Alphys wanted for them, but if this was a trick she *could* face literally no consequences as Alphys didn't know she was there.
But Diana didn't anticipate 1) that said glossy stars are actually flying explosives and 2) that the two attacks would combine and become stronger then either the bullet or the star alone. Almost the entire ceiling collapsed in on itself, and the recoil was so bad that it knocked his HP to 4. This combined attack, the bullet star, is green and left a soft green glow like glitter on the rubble. Diana, *somehow*, came out unharmed because she had the star aimed at the ceiling and when it exploded it was already imbedded in the ceiling. Though it did throw her off balance
She floated down and checked on Isaac when she noticed he was injured, and panicked when she saw the state he was in. For reference, she accidentally buffed up one of Isaac's *strongest* attacks
Depending on the strength, the recoil increases. He normally would get knocked down by that attack, but the star combining with it made it *so much worse* that it not only threw him back but almost killed him

The old Lchat wnba boards are a complete hot mess, but going back to 2016/17, there’s just a TON about BG. And most of it is pretty bad. Did her ex really go do IVF without BG’s knowledge? Or were those kids conceived the old fashioned way with a man. Sounds super messy. And did BG really cheat repeatedly on sweet Cherelle?
Listen... it's a lot.
What you need to understand about BG is she was the original basketball social media content creator personality. Her high school dunking video was the first viral amateur basketball video to reach 1 million views. This was back in like 2008 when 1 million views was a big deal. She became a superstar as a teenager.
And then she went to Baylor and her life just got weirder and weirder under the Mulkey dictatorship. But Baylor wasn't all bad because she won a national championship and met the love of her life.
But Cherelle had her own ambitions. She had things to do. She couldn't fly around the world with BG. They broke up during BG's rookie year but they stayed friends. BG brought some other random girl to China that first year she played overseas. And then she cheated on that girl with a straight all-star center named Glory Johnson.
Why? I don't know. But BG was drafted to the Mercury where all her teammates were ideal veteran lesbian basketball couples. Dewanna and Dupree. Diana and Penny. Ballers with ballers, buying homes together, hosting dinner parties, raising dogs. Very cool and mature lesbian aunties. Basically the exact opposite of BG's young wild self. But I think BG admired them. So she wanted to settle down and marry another basketball player. Immediately.
Glory's agent was connected to the reality TV/TMZ world. So Glory had an interest in social media personalities and rockstars and celebrities. And BG was all of those things. So halfway through BG's second pro year, she proposed to Glory Johnson.
Now why is all this crazy shit happening? Well, BG had weird enablers and fake friends hanging around her back then mooching off her stardom. And the social media rockstar thing had really spiraled out of control.
BG was insecure about her relationship with Glory because, well, Glory is straight. And Glory had a boyfriend. But BG was genuinely obsessed with Glory and afraid she would leave her. So when Glory asked BG to donate her eggs, BG said yes. There was nothing secret about the IVF appointment. BG was there at the appointment getting her eggs removed and placed in Glory's uterus. BG later said she didn't want kids at all and felt pressured into it.
Not long after the IVF appointment, BG and Glory got married. And a few weeks after that, BG came to her senses and tried to have the marriage annulled.
It all started with flirting at 2014 all-star. Then the proposal, the big TMZ fight, the reality TV appearances, the IVF appointment, the marriage, the annulment attempt. That all happened in the span of about 9 months. And then in 2015 the divorce court cases started. So yes, BG pays child support because she is technically the biological mother of Glory's giant twin daughters.
After this whole mess, Diana brought BG to Ekaterinburg. That's when they kind of shut down the whole BG social media rockstar era. They talk a little bit about it in this article.
BG had another random girlfriend in 2017. And then she got tired of that and married her best friend and college sweetheart Cherelle in 2018. And then BG and Cherelle really did become cool and mature lesbian aunties.
When BG was 24 years old, she made some mind-numbingly stupid decisions and turned her entire life upside down. In some ways, people were taking advantage of her stardom and youth and naivety. But oh well. She helped TMZ pay their bills in 2015.

The rest of the school week seems to drag itself out. Lily and Ang walk to Art class together, their finished assignments in hand. Angie is quiet, a little too quiet, and Lily immediately picks up on it. "Hey, babe. You good?"
She bites her lip nervously and glances over to her friend. "I'm scared, Lil. What if he doesn't like it?"
They walk into the classroom and take a seat at their normal table. "He's gonna love it, Ang. Tom's very much into art, at least, that's what Seb told me once."
She cocks her head to the side, "I just realized I never knew his first name until now. Tom is a fitting name, it suits him."
"Alright, class everyone settle down. I know all of you are excited for the weekend," Ang and Lily smirk at each other knowingly, "but we've still got an hour of school left. Everyone take out your finished pieces and have them ready for me to look at. I'll be walking around the room to give you a final grade."
Lily carefully unwraps her watercolor painting and sets it on the table. She wasn't sure what she was going to paint at first, but then she got to thinking about her Mom. Sebastian was only five when his Father left. He didn't have many memories of him, but he remembered the day he and their Mom were left alone, vividly.
Sebastian had told Lily the story on one of their movie nights and it's stuck with her ever since. He said that he had heard his Father yelling at their Mom, but he couldn't recall what he was angry about. He ran outside and followed him to his car, and shoved his hand in the door as it was being pulled closed. It smashed his fingers between the door and where it connected to the car. Sebastian told Lily that he did it because he thought that if his Father saw that he was hurt then he'd take him to the hospital and the doctor would say that he had to stay and take care of him. Instead, he watched him drive away. Seb chased the car, but was picked up by their Mom so she could wipe his tears and bandage his mangled hand.
Lily hasn't met her Father either, nor does she want to. Georgeta, their Mother, gives them everything they need. Sebastian was twenty when she was born, and helped take care of her as if she were his own and not his half sister. Their Mom is the strongest woman she's ever known. She always puts her and her brother first and never hesitates to go without just so they can be taken care of.
So, it's only fitting to dedicate her first watercolor painting to their Mom. It's of one of her favorite vacation spots. Lily remembers being a little girl, probably around ten, and going on vacation with her there. It was right around sunset, the reds, oranges, yellows, and pinks blanketed across the sky accenting with the mountain in the distance perfectly.
Tumblr media
Painting it from memory was hard, but once she was finished it turned out to be the best one she's ever done.
Angie finishes unwrapping hers and gasps, "Lil! Oh, my god! That's beautiful!"
She smiles sheepishly, "not as beautiful as yours, love. Mr. H will probably cry when he sees that. I mean, for real though, that drawing should be in a museum."
Angie laughs and beams at her. "Only if your masterpiece is displayed right next to it!"
Mrs. Stevens makes her way over to their table and smiles as she looks over Lily's shoulder. "Ms. Stan, this is stunning! These watercolors are blended perfectly and the highlight on the mountain is beautifully done! You deserve an A."
"Thank you, Mrs. Stevens," Lily grins and watches as she moves over to look at Angie's.
"Oh… Oh, my goodness. Ms. DiLorenza this is breathtaking! The shading is impeccable and the blending is just the right amount. An A for you as well. The two of you are incredible artists! Mr. Hiddleston will surely appreciate this. Would you like to take it to him now? I don't believe he has a class."
Angie wrings her hands nervously, "I-I don't know. I'm kind of scared. What if he doesn't like it?"
Mrs. Stevens shakes her head. "Nonsense, dear. How about this? How about I call him down here. You can step out into the hallway for a bit of privacy, but you'll still be within earshot of the class. Sound good?"
Angie nodded. "Alright, it's settled."
A few minutes later she hears the familiar deep voice that she loves so much. She steals a quick glance and sees him standing just outside the doorway with her art teacher. He meets her eyes and she quickly looks away pulling her lip between her teeth. The sound of Mrs. Stevens' high heels click against the floor and stop just shy of their table. "He's waiting outside, dear. I'll be at my desk should you need me."
Angie takes a deep breath and stands up. Lily squeezes her hand for reassurance as she holds the drawing in the other. "You've got this, babe!"
Ang nods and slowly walks across the room to the door. She rounds the corner, holding the picture close to her chest as she looks up at him.
"Hi."
Even that one word sounds weak, but if Tom notices he doesn't point it out. "Hi, Ang. It's good to see you again." His accent sends a wave of arousal straight to her core. "I understand you have something for me?"
Angie looks down at the drawing clutched in her hands. "Well, I-I um…Mrs. Stevens… we-"
Tom places a warm hand on her shoulder. "It's alright, darling," he whispers. "Take your time."
Angie licks her lips, "our first assignment was to um...to create whatever we wanted. I wasn't-," she shifts her weight anxiously, "wasn't sure what to make so I just kind of zoned out a-and let my pencil have a mind of its own." Without making eye contact with him she holds the canvas out so he can take it. "I um...I made this...for you."
Tom hates to see his girl so nervous, but he can’t deny how adorable she looks standing in front of him like this. So innocent and - wait...did he just refer to Ang as his girl in his head? Well, that's new. She hands over the canvas without looking at him and toes at the tile floor with her shoe. He flips it over in his hands and sucks in a breath.
Tumblr media
It's the most beautiful piece of art he's ever seen. The detailed lines, the contrast of highlight and shade, and the attention to detail. It's...well, it's breathtaking, and the fact that it's a portrait of him makes it that more meaningful. Tom realizes he hasn't said anything, let alone released the breath he's been holding, and turns his attention back to Angie. She's shaking and picking at her fingernails and he has to force himself not to hug her.
"Darling, look at me."
She timidly raises her head, her eyes shining with unshed tears.
"This is phenomenal, Ang. I...I'm speechless… I'm so honored that out of everything you could have drawn you chose me. Thank you."
She blinks a few times in rapid succession to keep from crying. "Well, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to draw the most beautiful person in the world."
Fuck! Shit shit shit!
God how she wished someone invented time travel so she could go back fifteen seconds. She could probably make it to the back doors to the parking lot if she made a run for it. They haven't even had their first date yet and she just dropped a bombshell that is normally saved for people who've been together for like...a few months.
Angie winces and turns her gaze back to the floor. The very floor she wishes would open up and let her fall into. Tom's index and middle fingers gently tilt her head back up. Those tears she worked so hard to stop before spill over her waterline and cascade down her cheeks.
"Oh, love," Tom brushes the wetness away with the back of his knuckles gingerly, "please don't cry. I'm not upset with you. In fact, I'm flattered. It's been quite a long time since a woman has called me beautiful." He discreetly reaches down to hold her hand, "and it's never been said by someone as stunning as you."
Angie feels her heart skip a beat. He…he thinks she's stunning?
Before she can say anything, Tom does a quick sweep of the hallway to be sure there's no one that can see them. He smooths his thumb over her bottom lip and smiles softly before leaning down to press a sweet kiss to her lips. It only lasts a second, but it was by far the best second of her life.
"I'll see you tomorrow, my darling girl." He winks and turns on his heel leaving Angie there with wide eyes and flushed skin.
Holy shit he kissed her!
Tumblr media
Jessy walks quickly to her locker and grabs what she needs to complete her assignments over the weekend. It's been the slowest Friday ever, but it's finally time to leave. She shoots Angie a quick text to let her know she'll meet her at the mall and heads to her car.
Since they both have dates tomorrow night, a special outfit is a must for both of them. Twenty minutes later she pulls into a free parking space next to Angie's car.
"JESSY! Oh, my god he fuckin' kissed me!"
Jessica had barely gotten out of her car when Angie told her the news, and she was ecstatic. "No way!" She grabs Ang's hands and they bounce in place with excitement, "girl when?! Tell me everything!"
She lets out a dreamy sigh and smiles. "You know how I drew that picture of him?" Jessy nods. "Well, Mrs. Stevens called him down to her class so I could give it to him. So, there we were, in the hallway, and I was so fuckin' nervous. God, was I nervous. He was so sweet with me though. He called me darling and waited patiently while I stuttered like an idiot. He was speechless, babe. He loved it."
She grins, "I knew he would, Ang."
Angie blushes, "there's more though. He told me he was honored that out of everything, I chose to draw him, and like a dumbass I told him I couldn't pass up on drawing the most beautiful person in the world."
Jessica gasps. "Oh, shit! How did he take that?"
"Well, I didn't see his initial reaction cause I immediately looked down at the floor, but he lifted my head and wiped my tears. He called me love and said that no one as stunning as me has ever referred to him as beautiful. Then," she bites her lip as the memory of his mouth on hers plays over and over in her head, "he looked around, kissed me for like a second, and then called me his darling girl!"
"Ahh! Ang! Oh, my god that's so cute! You two are freakin' adorable together, I swear!"
Angie hugs her and giggles. "You ready to buy something that's gonna knock our men off their feet?
Jessica nods and hugs her, "hell yeah! Let's do this!"
Two hours and eight stores later, both of them had their outfits tried on and bought. Angie picks a plaid blue and red skirt that sits about four inches above the knee, and a matching form-fitting shirt. Jessy decides on a short, simple, yet elegant, velvet burgundy dress. After that the girls eat a little snack at the food court together to tide them over before heading home to do their homework.
Tumblr media
Lily sits Indian style on her bed and works on one of her journal entries for English Literature. Sebastian may be her teacher, but he never once treated her any differently from the other kids. Friday's topic was a free day, and she's trying to think of something to write about. All she can think about is Chris, and what he told her brother the other day. One part of her wants to know who the girl is that he's willing to take such a big risk for, and the other part of her doesn't. Lily knows it's not her. Why would it be? He's twenty-two years her senior and her teacher for God's sake. She sighs and begins to write about him anyway. It's not like Seb will guess who it is. Not if she's vague enough.
A couple of minutes later after she's done writing, she hears the front door open. That's odd...Seb normally hangs out with Chris on Saturday's… She thinks to herself.
"Lily? Hey, you home?"
She moves to lay on her stomach and starts playing Candy Crush on her phone. "In my room!"
Sebastian knocks lightly and peaks his head in. "So, I'm gonna need you to get changed into some jeans and a t-shirt that you don't mind potentially getting dirty."
She looks at him like he’s grown a third eye. "Um...what?"
He rolls his eyes. "Just...c'mon! We gotta leave in like," he checks his watch, "ten minutes."
Lily changes, even though she's thoroughly confused, and puts on some old tennis shoes. "Okay, I'm ready. So, what are we doin'?"
Sebastian shakes his head and opens the garage. "Can't tell ya! It's a surprise!"
"Ugh! You know how much I hate surprises, Seb!" She groans and slides into the passenger seat of his black Dodge Charger. He hands her a black bandana and smirks.
"Yeah, I know. Humor me and put that on. You're not allowed to see anything until we get there."
"Seriously?! Fine...but I get to pick what we listen to." Lily unlocks her phone and pulls up her favorite playlist on Spotify. "Here, I'll let you get it connected while I put this on."
Tumblr media
Sebastian chuckles and takes her phone. "Remind me why I love you again?"
She pulls the ends of the bandana into a knot and adjusts it over her eyes. "Because I keep you sane, not to mention I'm the fun sibling."
"Whoa, hey now, wait a minute! I'm fun!"
Lily scoffs, "okay, mister 'the only thing I do for fun is hang out with Chris every Saturday' you keep tellin' yourself that. Speaking of him, why aren't you two having your normal bro night anyway?"
Even though she couldn't see him, Sebastian rolls his eyes as he pulls out of the driveway. "Well, I told you I would make it up to you for bailing on our movie night. Plus, he's got a date."
Lily feels a pang of jealousy flood through her chest. "Oh," she hates how she can't control the hurt tone in her voice, "that's good. I hope it goes well."
Sebastian glances over at her, immediately picking up on her change of mood. He leaves it alone for now since today is about her.
The drive is quiet, except for the music, and Lily finds herself thinking about Chris again. Well, she often thinks about him, but now she is imagining him with another woman. Honestly, she wishes she could just tell him how she feels so she can get his reaction. Maybe if he rejects her, then she will be able to get over him.
She sighs and closes her eyes. "Are we there yet? I feel like we've been in the car for over an hour now."
Sebastian stops the car and puts it in park, a shit-eating grin plastered across his face. "Yeah, we're here. You can take off the bandana now."
Lily rips the fabric off her head and blinks to adjust to the light. Once she's able to see clearly, she gasps. "SKYDIVING?! Oh, my god! Sebby! Are you serious?!"
She looks at him with wonder and he laughs, "yeah, I'm serious! I know how long you've been wanting to do this, and I figured it was time for me to face one of my fears."
Lily unbuckles her seatbelt and throws herself over the center console to hug him. "Oh, thank you thank you thank you!"
He pats her on the back, "does this make me the fun sibling now?"
"Don't push your luck, Shakespeare nerd." She pulls away and climbs out of the car. "C'mon! Let's go!"
Tumblr media
Angie looks herself over in her bathroom mirror for the millionth time and fixes a stray piece of hair. You look fine. Jessy was right, he's gonna love it. She tries to reassure herself as she applies a bit of lip gloss. Checking to make sure she has her phone, charger, a change of clothes, and her toothbrush, she walks down to her car. Jessy and her had the bright idea to tell their parents they were staying overnight at the other one's house. You know, just in case things go well and they decide to sleep over.
It takes about thirty minutes to get to Tom's house, but she finally finds it. She's in awe as she parks in the driveway. It's a two-tone modern home, wood tone on the upper level and off-white on the lower. There's a balcony that wraps around and has glass paneling as a barrier. An inground pool sits off to the side of a wooden staircase.
She slings her backpack over her shoulder and makes her way to the front door. Her heels click against the asphalt and her heart thrums rapidly in her chest. Angie takes a deep breath and blows it out before knocking a few times. Seconds later, she hears footsteps and the lock clicks.
Tom opens the door and her eyes go wide. He's wearing a white button down shirt, the top two buttons undone, and a pair of black slacks that sit low on his hips. His hair is neatly tousled and his feet are bare. Ang is so busy checking him out that she doesn't see the way he's looking at her.
Tom stands rooted to the spot. He cannot believe how beautiful his girl looks. She's standing before him in a tight red top and short plaid skirt. Her hair is curled in loose waves, her light makeup a perfect touch to her flawless skin. He wants to devour her right there in his doorway.
"Ang…," he looks her up and down as he bites and licks his lips, you look amazing."
Tumblr media
She blushes, "thank you. You look gorgeous, but you always do in my eyes." He takes her bag from her as she walks inside. "Wow, your house is beautiful."
He sets her things down and gently grabs her hand. "Come here, darling."
Angie spins around and looks up into his blue eyes. "May I kiss you?" He asks, his voice an octave lower than normal. She nods and he pulls her flush against his body. "I can't help myself when you look this stunning, love."
He cups Angie's cheek in one of his large hands and brings his mouth down to meet hers. She's shy, he can tell, but soon she's kissing him back with fervor. Her lip gloss tastes like cherries and it's intoxicating. Tom backs her up, presses her against the wall, and tightens his grip on her waist as she moans into his mouth. He doesn't want to, but he knows if he doesn't stop now their dinner will get cold.
He pulls away slowly and watches her. Ang is breathing heavily and her eyes are still closed. She's breathtaking.
"Are you thirsty? I've got water, wine, Coke, Sprite, and I think there’s a case of beer in the garage."
She opens her eyes and smirks. "I'm thirsty, but not for any of those things."
He stutters and feels his slacks tighten, "L-Love, we…," he nods toward the kitchen, "dinner…"
Angie grins mischievously and walks around to his other side. "You have a microwave, right?" He nods. "Well then…," she pushes him against the wall with her hands, "I say we skip dinner for now."
Tom curses under his breath as she drops to her knees in front of him. "Besides, I have," her fingertips brush the rather large tent in his pants, "what I want right here." Angie pops the button and pulls the zipper down, her panties getting wetter by the second.
"Fuck, Ang…"
Tom's pants fall to his ankles and his hands shake as she lowers his boxers just enough to free him. His cock is painfully hard and she hasn't even touched him yet. Her small hand grips the base and he throws his head back.
"Darling...please…"
She runs her nails on the other hand down his thigh making him shiver. "I've never done this before, but I'll do my best to make it feel good." Tom's pretty sure anything Angie does will feel like heaven, but he nods anyway.
The moment her lips close over his flared tip, he lets out the prettiest moan she's ever heard. It only fuels her to take him deeper. He's longer than he is thick, but she still has to open her mouth pretty wide.
Once Angie has him about halfway she stops, not wanting to go any further in case she has a gag reflex. She trails her tongue tentatively along the underside of him and jumps a little when he thrusts forward slightly.
"My, god...s-sorry baby...fuck that feels good." He threads his long fingers through her hair and wets his lips. "Want me to show you how? I'll be gentle, love." She nods as best as she can and blinks her innocent doe eyes at him. He nearly comes undone at the sight.
His grip on her hair tightens and he begins to move her head up and down on his cock. Tom's eyes flutter closed, "oh, fuck! Darling, you're so good for me. So fucking good...mmm, yeah, move your tongue just like that, oh, my god…"
Angie is floored by the way he's talking to her. She had no idea she would get such satisfaction from praise alone, but coming from Tom it was music to her ears. She pushes back on his thighs and he let's go of her.
"Are you okay?" She shakes her head yes and kisses the tip of each finger on his right hand. "Fuck my mouth, please."
Tom feels his need for her ignite into a wildfire. "God… are you sure, love? I don't want to hurt you. Especially since you're new at this."
Angie kisses the tip of his cock, a bead of precum coating her lips, "please, baby? I want you to feel good."
He breathes a shuddering breath and swallows thickly. "Alright, love, but I want you to tap my thigh if it becomes too much. Now, open that sweet mouth for me, darling."
Angie obeys and Tom pushes his cock between her parted lips and doesn't stop until he feels her nails dig into his skin. "Shh, relax, love. Take - oh, shit! - deep breaths through your nose. Y-Yeah, that's it. You're such a good girl, Ang. God, your mouth feels so good…"
She feels herself relax a few seconds later and Tom slides the remaining inches down her throat. He's panting, a thin coat of sweat covering his skin, and when he feels Angie swallow he about loses his mind.
“OH, FUCK! Ang...Ang oh, my fucking god!"
She wants more, no needs more, so she does the only thing she can think of and tries to move her head back and forth, but his grip on her is too strong. She whines softly when he pulls her hair.
"I know, love. Just...fuck...g-give me a second. I don't want to cum just yet.”
He evens out his breathing and starts a slow rhythm. He's trying to be careful, but the little moans she makes every time he slides down her throat are nothing shy of sinful. Angie swirls her tongue around him and he growls.
"Oh, s-shit! Ang, I...you're...oh, god!" He looks down at her with hooded eyes. "You're so perfect, darling. O-On your knees for me, taking my cock so well. I wish you could see yourself right now. So pretty…so good… fuck!"
Tom moans out her name and fucks her mouth a bit harder, the heat in his lower belly now a sea of molten lava.
"I-I...love, I'm...where do you...can I-?"
He can't even form a coherent thought, let alone speak, but Angie gets what he's asking her. She absolutely needs to taste him, needs to feel him come undone from her mouth. She does the first thing that comes to mind and grips his ass hard, pulling him forward. Tom groans and works his left hand into her hair next to his right.
"Fuck! Oh, you're amazing, darling. So good for me." He thrusts deep and squeezes his eyes shut, "shit I'm close, Ang! I-I'm...oh, darling I'm…unghh AHH!"
Tom's orgasm hits him like a Mack truck. His vision goes white and his legs shake while his cock pulses in her warm, wet mouth. Angie swallows everything he gives her and only pulls away when he releases the hold on her hair.
"Did I do okay?"
Her cheeks have tear tracks and her lips are swollen as she looks up at him through her lashes. Tom leans his head back on the wall behind him and chuckles breathily, "baby…that was…more than okay. I cannot believe that was your first time. God, I haven't felt that good in...well...ever."
He pulls her to her feet and tucks himself back into his boxers before kissing her hungrily. He can taste himself on her tongue, but he doesn't care. She's beautiful, and he never wants to let her go. He reluctantly steps back and pulls his pants back up over his hips.
"Shall we have dinner, my darling girl? Maybe afterwards I can return the favor."
She nods and bites her lip.
"Alright, why don't you have a seat and I'll dish everything up for us."
Tumblr media
Jessica parks outside of Chris’s house just as her phone dings. She looks down and smiles when she sees it's him telling her the door's unlocked and she can just come in when she gets there. Her eyes look back up and admire how beautiful everything is. The house is a light beige color with very modern looking features. There's a lot of windows that are trimmed with a dark, ebony wood. A huge tree casts a shadow over the shrubbery and front walk-way, allowing the low lighting from the porch to give it a warm, cozy feel.
She locks her car, puts her keys in the front pocket of her bag, and takes a breath to calm her nerves. It's a warm evening and the leaves are beginning to turn autumn colors. Jessy approaches the front door and turns the knob, slowly entering his home. If she thought the outside was beautiful, then she wasn't prepared for the inside. It felt so inviting. The same ebony wood accented white furniture and walls, and everything had its place. Very pristine.
She smoothes her straightened hair and fixes her dress before calling out to make her presence known. "Chris?"
A moment later, his Boston accent echoes back to her. "In the kitchen, sweetheart!"
She sets her bag down by the door and follows the sound of his voice. Jessica finds him in an enormous state of the art kitchen. Modern appliances, a huge kitchen island with bar stools, and a wooden floor open up into an equally beautiful dining room. Chris stands facing the stove, his back to her as he stirs something that smells absolutely amazing.
He's casually dressed in dark jeans and a blue button down. "I hope you're hungry. I'm mak-" He stops mid-sentence as he turns around to face her, the spoon he's holding clatters to the floor.
Tumblr media
"Sweetheart…," he breathes, "you look absolutely incredible…"
He walks over to her and slides his hands up her bare arms, "you got this dressed up for me?"
She nods and shyly bites her lip. "Yeah, I-I wanted to try and look pretty since you always look… well… amazing."
Chris’s eyes roam up and down her body, like he can't look everywhere fast enough. Her four and a half inch stilettos make her come up to just below his chin, and her makeup accentuates her eyes beautifully.
"Sweet girl, you're always pretty." He kisses her deeply, his body flush against hers as he licks into her mouth. "Honey, I'll end up eating you for dinner if I don't stop now." He smirks down at her and raises an eyebrow when her breath hitches. "Oh," he coos. "You'd like that, hm? Another time, I promise. I made my Mom's famous Cajun Chicken Alfredo and I can't wait for you to try it."
He brushes her cheek and goes back to the stove to finish up their food. He pours her a glass of red wine and pulls out the chair for her to sit down. "You look even more beautiful in the candlelight, sweetheart." He kisses her cheek and puts a plate of steaming hot pasta in front of her. "It's hot, so be careful, okay?"
Jessica nods. Thank you, Chris. This looks delicious."
They chat while they eat, getting to know one another better. Talking to Chris comes naturally. It feels like she's known him for years. She tells him about Shayly and Jameson, skipping the part about how she basically lived with them. Chris beams as he talks about his family. Jessy learns that he has three siblings. A younger brother Scott, an actor who's happily dating his boyfriend of two years, an older sister Carly who's also an actress, and a younger sister Shanna who's an aspiring author. He mentions that his Mom's an actress as well, and his Dad's a dentist.
Chris casually asks her about her parents and she tries not to show her grimace, but, of course, he picks up on it. "Jessy? I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I didn't mean to.”
She shakes her head and looks at her half empty plate. "No, you didn't… I just… my childhood wasn't that great. 'S kinda why my Mom and I moved here."
Chris watches her push a noodle around with her fork, "do you want to talk about it, sweetheart?" He takes her hand and she closes her eyes. "I know I need to. I haven't told anyone...not even Shayly. I just...I don't know if I can."
He stands up and holds out his hand, "come here, honey. Let's go sit down in my living room."
She lets him lead her to the other side of his house and smiles when she sees Dodger sprawled out on the floor. "Hey, buddy! Remember me?" He jumps up and wags his tail happily, "oh, you're so cute! Wook at your cute wittle face!"
Chris chuckles, his heart full of happiness at the sight of Jessy baby talking to his best friend. "I think I've been replaced. How could you, Dodge?! I give you everything and the moment a beautiful woman comes in the house I'm chopped liver. Typical." He's joking, of course, and grins when Jessica rolls her eyes playfully.
"Listen, babe, I can't help it. Dogs just get me, ya know?"
Chris tosses Dodger one of his favorite bones and sits down. "C'mere, baby. Come sit." He pats his thigh and gingerly pulls her into his lap. His thumb caresses her cheek, "you can tell me as much or as little as you need, sweetheart. I won't talk while you are. I'm here to listen, okay?"
Jessy plays with her hands, focusing on Dodge happily chewing away at his treat. "It's a long story, but I… I really feel like I can trust you with it. So many people have asked me to open up about it, but I've never wanted to. Not until I met you."
Chris takes one of her hands in his and kisses the back of her knuckles, sweetly. "I'm honored you feel that way, Jessy. I promise not to tell anyone anything you're about to tell me. Not even Sebastian or Tom."
She takes a deep breath and swallows the lump in her throat, preparing to tell him everything.

"The earliest memory I have of my Father is from when I was four years old. He's actually my Step-Father. My real Dad died when I was a baby. Anyway, I was playing out on the back patio with my building blocks and heard him yelling at my Mom. I don't remember what it was about, but he was staggering and waving his hands around. My Mom was crying and he must have gotten sick of hearing her because I watched him hit her."
Chris began rubbing her back and she took a moment to collect herself. "It went on like that for years. He was always drunk, and my Mom worked two jobs to keep us from losing the house. H-He got fired and sat at home, just drinking in front of the TV. When um…" Jessy squeezes her eyes shut and tries desperately not to cry. Chris turns her in his lap so she's facing him and kisses her forehead, "you don't have to tell me, baby. It's okay." Jessica shakes her head, "n-no I-I need to. It's just hard reliving the memories."
Chris holds her waist and rubs his thumbs in the little divots of her hips, trying his best to comfort her. "When he wasn't black out drunk, he'd sometimes…," she closes her eyes and lets a couple of tears fall, "h-he'd sometimes touch me…," she whispers shakily. Chris’s grip tightens on her waist and he clenches jaw, but stays quiet so she can finish. "He never….actually um...put anything inside of me, but he touched me o-on the outside. I had to touch him too...he told me if I ever told anyone he'd k-kill me." Jessy was full blown crying now, but she needs this weight off her chest.
"My Mom doesn't know. No one does… except you. If I tried to um… to stop him he'd hit me or grab my face so hard that it left bruises. I wasn't physically strong enough to get away, so I just… I let him do those… things because I thought I had to. The sooner I complied, the sooner he'd get it over with and go to sleep." She sniffles and wipes at her cheeks, "the first time it happened I was five. It didn't stop until I was twelve.
He um… he lost interest in me when I...when I hit puberty. I still got hit when I made him angry though. My Mom got the worst of it, and when I was fourteen I started protecting her. I-I'd push her behind me a-and take the brunt of it. It was all the same to him. As long as he could take his anger out on someone, it didn't matter who it was." She takes a shaky breath and lets it out. "My mom finally filed for divorce a few weeks ago. That's why we moved here. To get away… from him."

Jessy opens her eyes and looks into Chris’s. The emotion in them is overwhelming. She starts to softly sob and he moves his hands to her cheeks. "Shh, I've got you, honey. I'm so sorry you had to go through something so horrible. You have to know none of that was your fault. You know that, right?"
She nods and lets out a choked sob.
"You're safe now, baby. I won't let anybody hurt you ever again. I'm here now, and you're safe with me, sweetheart."
He dries her tears with the throw blanket draped over the couch and holds her close. "Will you kiss me?"
He nods, "I'll give you whatever you need, baby."
His kiss is careful, like she'll break if he's too rough. Jessy grips his shirt and deepens the kiss, trying hard to push the bad memories from her mind. He slides his right hand up her back until his fingers are embedded in her long red hair. She whimpers and shifts in his lap making him groan.
"Jessy… maybe we should stop. I don't want this to lead to something you're not ready for."
She whines and moves his free hand to her chest. "I need this… please, Chris? I wanna forget everything he did to me. Please make me forget…"
He pecks her lips and rests his forehead against hers. "Okay, whatever you need, love." He moves his hands up and down her sides, "how do you want to do this? Tell me what you need, honey."
Jessica rolls her hips and watches as his eyes flutter closed. "Is like this okay? I-I don't know if I'm ready for um...well for anything more than that."
Chris swallows hard, "yeah, that's fine, sweetheart. You wanna leave the dress on?"
Jessica bites her lip and sits back, crossing her hands so she can lift the velvety fabric over her head. Chris’s jaw drops. She's completely bare, no bra or panties, and he can feel himself harden instantly.
"Fuck...Jessy you're breathtaking," he breathes. "Look even more beautiful than I imagined."
She blushes and fumbles with the buttons on his shirt. "T-Thanks, but you're way more beautiful than me."
Chris frowns and mentally makes a note to talk to her about that comment later. Right now her pleasure is his priority. He helps her remove his shirt and watches as she marvels at his chest. Her small fingers trace one of his tattoos and it makes him shiver.
Tentatively, Jessy begins rocking her hips against him. Her lips are parted and every so often a soft moan fills the space between them. "Touch me," she whispers.
Chris gently flicks the pad of his thumb over her nipple, making it harden under his touch. Jessica throws her head back and grinds down on him harder. "Chris! M-More...please…" He takes one of them in his mouth while he rolls the other between his fingers. Her moans are louder now, his jeans wet with her arousal.
"God, sweetheart, look at you. You're so pretty, movin' over my cock. That's it, just like that… mmm shit baby… you feel how hard I am? Could cum just watchin' you like this."
Jessy grabs his hair and pulls to give her more control as she quickens her pace. "Oh, Chris! Feels so good… fuck!  Baby," her voice is a breathy moan as she looks into his eyes, "wanna make y-you feel good too."
He swipes his thumb along the seam of her lips and can't help the filthy noise he makes when she sucks it into her mouth. "Shit! J-Jessy…oh, sweetheart, trust me, watchin' you make yourself feel good is more than enough for me.”
She leans down to kiss and lick the skin on his neck and he raises his hips to meet hers. "That feel good, honey? You want me to keep movin' my hips like this?"
She whines and digs her nails into his biceps. "Yes! Don't stop…please...oh, god!"
She's dripping wet now, his cock leaking precum as she rocks her hips rapidly. The slight sting of denim against her clit sends jolt after jolt of heat through her body that gathers in her lower abdomen. It starts to simmer, slowly growing hotter by the second.
Tumblr media
Chris kisses her, deep and passionate, guiding her hips so her soaked core glides over the head of his cock on every pass. She's ethereal to him. He can't believe this gorgeous woman finds this much pleasure in his body. Out of every woman he's ever been with, Jessica's the only one he's ever felt this strongly for. He isn't in love with her, no, he's not ready for that yet. It's too soon after Amanda, but she just...does something to him that he can't quite explain yet.
She whimpers and reaches for his right hand, "please…need you...wanna cum…"
His eyes roll back when she brings his fingers to her clit. "God! Honey, you're fuckin' soaked. I turn you on this much?" He moves his thumb in lazy circles making her legs shake. "C'mon, baby, that's it. You're close. Can hear how wet you are too. So damn pretty, baby."
Jessy clings to his shoulders and kisses him hard. Her mouth stumbles against his as her whole body begins to shake. "Oh, Chris," she breathes against his lips, "Chris I- oh, my god!"
He takes her lip between his teeth and bites down gently, "that's right, Jessica. Let go…come all over my cock, sweetheart."
Chris's words send her falling over the edge, her nails scratching down his arms as she throws her head back and screams his name. He holds her steady and works her through her orgasm making sure to draw it out as long as he can. Jessy grips his wrist and he finally pulls away as she rests her head on his bare shoulder.
"C-Chris," she half whines, half pants, "felt so good…"
He kisses her hair and runs his fingertips up and down her back. "Did so good for me, honey."
Jess pulls back to look down into his lust-blown eyes. It occurs to her that he's still very much hard, and she reaches down to cup him through his pants making him hiss. "Baby…what are you doin'?"
She giggles and kisses the tip of his nose. "Isn't it obvious? I wanna make you cum too."
His breathing gets heavier as she continues to stroke his clothed cock. "'M okay, Jessy. Y-You don't ha- fuck - have too."
She starts a trail of kisses down his chest as she moves to kneel on the floor in front of him. "Oh, but I want to. Wanna taste you."
She looks up at him with big eyes and he almost cums from that alone. "Please, handsome?"

Sebastian and Lily approach the hanger and greet their instructor cheerfully. "Hi! I'm Lily and this is my big brother, Sebastian."
The man smiles and shakes their hands. "We've been expecting you two! I've gotten quite familiar with Sebastian over the past couple of days. I'm Dean Wesson and I'll be your instructor today."
He points to four other people across the room, "these guys will be assisting you with your jump." Dean points from left to right, those two in the silver and black suits are Sam and Steve Hammond and the ones in the blue and white are Scott Leighton and Tommy King."
Dean goes over the basics with them. He gets Seb and Lily fitted into their own suits and helmets before bringing them into the gear room. "Okay, so here's a breakdown of all the different parts of your pack. When you're wearing it it'll be pretty snug. On the bottom right underside is the pull for your main shute. You'll reach back behind you to grab it and pull hard to release." Dean points to the left shoulder strap, "this is your reserve shute should your main one fail. The red pull on the right strap is what you'll use if your main shute gets tangled and you have to cut it away. Does that all make sense?"
The two of them nod and they sign a waiver before getting their packs fitted to their suits. All seven of them head to the plane and buckle themselves in for take off. Ironically, Lily learns that taking off is actually more dangerous than the dive. Once they're in the air, she glances over at Sebastian. He's putting up a front, but she can tell he's scared.
"Hey," she reaches for his hand and squeezes it, "you good?"
He gives her a tight-lipped smile and closes his eyes. "Yeah…, I'm good."
Lily frowns, "Seb, if you don't wanna do this-"
"It's alright, Lil. I told you I'd make it up to you, and I meant it. Even if I gotta do something that scares me to death. Anything to make my baby sister happy." He grins and pulls her into a side hug.
"Alright, folks! We're at fifteen hundred feet. Go ahead and remove your seatbelts and do a final check of your gear. Once you've triple checked everything you can put your helmet on."
After making sure they're all secure, Sam and Steve talk to Sebastian while Tommy and Scott prep Lily for her jump. She decides to go first and moves closer to the door. Once it's open, she waits for the signal. Tommy gives her the thumbs up and she steals a final look at her brother before jumping.
Scott grabs onto her left shoulder while Tommy takes the right. Because it's impossible to hear them at the speed they're falling, they use hand and arm signals to communicate. Lily has her arms out in front of her, slightly at an angle, with her fingers bent a little. Her knees are also bent and spread out, and it makes her look like one of those flying squirrels. Her head is up and back so she can keep the right velocity. Tommy instructs her to do a couple of practice pulls. She reaches back and barely tugs on the release of her main shute two times and he seems satisfied.
The ground is getting bigger now, and she briefly wonders if Sebastian is okay. She can't see him, but she hopes he's alright. He's her brother after all. A few minutes later Tommy gives her the go ahead to open her shute and she spreads her arms wide, sticks them in front of her, and reaches back behind her to grab the pull. This time, she tugs on it hard and a moment later she's jerked upwards as her parachute fully expands.
The view is unbelievable. Trees, roads, fields, and bodies of water, all of it is so small from here. Lily glances up and over her shoulder and smiles when she sees that Sebastian’s shute is also safely open. Her instructors point her left and she angles her body to turn. As the ground becomes closer, she leans back slightly, bending her legs just like she was taught. She touches down safely and rolls a little as her speed catches up to her. Her heart is racing and her whole body tingles with adrenaline.
Sebastian lands moments later and comes up to sit on his knees once he stops rolling. Lily takes her helmet off and unclips the pack from her suit. "Seb!" She runs towards him and crouches down as he removes his helmet. His eyes are closed and he doesn't look like he feels good.
Lily crouches down behind him and rubs his back as he gets sick. "Are you okay?"
He nods, wiping his mouth with the sleeve of his suit. "Y-Yeah… I'm okay."
She helps him to his feet and begins to fold his shute up for him. "What did you think?"
He sways a little when he stands, trying not to throw up again. "Was it everything you thought it would be? Did I do well in making it up to you?"
Lily tucks it back into his pack and smiles wide. "That. Was. AMAZING! God, the rush, the wind in my hair, the view, it was better than I expected!"
She rolls up her parachute and grabs her gear before taking the short walk back to the main hangar. After they've put everything away and changed back into their normal clothes, they say their 'thank you's' and 'goodbye's' before heading back to Sebastian’s car.
They climb in and Lily turns to face him, "I can't believe you got sick you dork! It wasn't that bad, was it?" Lily picks fun at him playfully and Sebastian rolls his eyes.
"Alright, how about we go to the pet store downtown and hold tarantulas next?"
She shivers and crinkles her nose in disgust, "oh, hell no! That is not happening!"
Sebastian chuckles and pulls out of the lot onto the main road. "Mmkay, well, I'm gonna stop and get a Sprite since I feel like shit, do you want anything?"
Lily reconnects her phone to his Bluetooth and clicks on 'Guys my Age' before putting her seatbelt on. "Ooo! Can we get McDonald's cheeseburgers?"
He nods, "sure. Today's all about you, Lil."
Seb listens as she sings along to the song and can see that she's scrolling through her camera roll. He doesn't mean to, but in the process of looking to see if any cars are coming at a busy intersection, something catches his eye. It's a text message conversation. He can't make out the words because she's too far away, but he does see a familiar picture of him and Chris that he uploaded to Instagram a week or so ago.
Lily bites her lip and leans back against the headrest closing her eyes. This song always stirs up her feelings for Chris. Her and Ang are texting about her day and she told her about how she's the fun sibling. Angie didn't believe that all Seb does for fun is spend his Saturday's at Chris’s, so she sent her a recent photo of then from his Insta. She'd saved it to her phone gallery as soon as she saw it. Chris looks so good in it. He's wearing one of his tight t-shirts that leaves little to the imagination and it drives her crazy. The chorus comes on and she sings along with it, her mind picturing bluish-green eyes and a sweet smile.
Sebastian furrows his brows and glances over at his sister. She's singing and her mind seems far away. A thought crosses his mind, but he shakes it away almost instantly. It was silly anyway. They've been best friends since she was eleven and he'd always thought she'd look to him as another older brother. There's no way Lily has romantic feelings for Chris…right?

Tom walks back in the dining room and sets a plate down in front of Angie. It's her favorite, an omelette with American cheese, peppers, onions, and some salsa drizzled on top. He's paired it with some bacon and rye toast, and it makes her mouth water.
"Oh, this looks amazing! How'd you know it was my favorite?"
Tom laughs and takes a seat across from her. "I didn't. Omelets happen to be my favorite too, darling."
The two of them eat and play the game where one person asks the other a question and then they switch. "When's your birthday?" Tom asks and looks across the table at her. She points her fork at him and swallows her bite of food.
"Believe it or not, it's the same day as my favorite holiday. Halloween!"
His eyes widen, "that's so cool! Mine is February ninth. I was almost a Valentine's Day baby!"
"Alright, where were you born?"
He takes a sip of wine, "Westminster, London. I actually have dual citizenship which is good for when I go and visit my family."
Angie's eyes light up with wonder. "Wow! I've never been out of the country, but I've always wanted to go! I bet London is so pretty! I dreamed of seeing Big Ben and Buckingham Palace in person when I was a little girl."
"I'll take you, love"
Ang chokes on her wine making it nearly come out her nose. "I-I'm sorry? You'll what now?"
Tom reaches across the table and takes her hand in his, rubbing little circles, "I'll take you to London, Ang. I go at least twice a year and I haven't been since March. My mum will be calling me any time now demanding I come back to visit soon."
She stares at him, her jaw slack, "I… there's no way I can pay for that…"
He chuckles and shakes his head, "don't be silly. I plan on buying your ticket and everything else while we're there anyway."
"Tom," she whispers, "…I can't let you spend that much money on me."
He gets up and walks around the table, crouching down to her level. "Darling, please? I really want to do this." He leans forward and presses a soft kiss to her lips, "besides...I can think of ways for you to pay me back. One's that don't involve money."
He winks and her cheeks flush. "Okay, you can take me to London, BUT only if you promise not to go overboard on the money you spend on me! Promise me." He stands and lifts her up, spinning around in a circle, "I promise, love."
He kisses her again, only this time with more passion. Angie wraps her legs around his waist while he carries her into his bedroom. It's very clean, a four poster bed, and it smells like him. That's all she gathers of her surroundings because the next second she's against the wall. Tom peppers kisses along her jaw, slowly moving to her neck. Angie moans and tilts her head back to grant him more access.
"Tom," she whines, "oh, god, please!"
He nips at the skin below her ear, "please what, love?" His clothed cock is putting delicious pressure on her clit making it hard to think, let alone breathe. "Wanna feel you… y-your - oh, my god - your fingers."
Tom's left hand tangles in her long, dark locks, while his right slides underneath her shirt. "Well, why didn't you just say so, my darling girl?"
He lifts her red shirt over her head and tosses it somewhere behind him. His eyes darken as they roam her newly exposed skin. "Absolutely stunning…"
His mouth leaves her skin burning hot wherever it touches and his big hands knead her breasts until her nipples are hardened peaks. "Tom! Need you...please 'm so wet…"
"Oh, I know you do," he delves his tongue into her mouth and moves it against hers, pulling away only when he needs air. "But I happen to love hearing your sweet voice beg for me, so, what do you think we should do about this?"
Angie whimpers and moves her hand down to slide up her skirt. Tom catches her wrist before she can touch herself, pinning her arms above her head. "I don't recall giving you permission to do that, love."
She lets out a frustrated moan, her chest heaving as she gives him a desperate look. "Tom, please! Oh, god...please please touch me! I need it, baby. Wanna cum for you. I'll do anything! Just, please...don't leave me like this!"
He pulls down her bra and takes one of her hard nipples between his teeth. She cries out and tries to move her hips to gain any sort of friction, but her attempts are unsuccessful. He has her pinned effortlessly, allowing her little to no movement, and it makes her dizzy with want.
"You want these, darling?" He shows her his hand and smirks. "Want me to fuck you with my fingers until you're begging me to let you cum?"
She nods rapidly, "Yes! Fuck...please! Need it so bad!"
Tom is pretty sure he can cum just from watching her like this. All needy and desperate for his touch. She's so fucking beautiful, and even more so with flushed skin and hooded eyes. He can feel how wet she is through his pants and it makes his cock twitch. He moves a hand up her side and cups one of her breasts, squeezing until Angie's eyes flutter shut. He still has her hands pinned with his left, so he slides his right up her inner thigh. His touch is light, barely-there, and he bites his lip when her skin becomes covered in goosebumps.
The closer he gets to her pussy, the faster she breathes, and when his index and middle fingers brush her wet panties he groans. "God, baby…these are soaked through. You really want my fingers that badly, hm?"
All she can do is whimper, but he gives in anyway. Tom pushes them to the side and glides his fingers back and forth through her arousal. The noises she's making are his motivation. He knows she's still a virgin and even though he thinks she's wet enough to take two of them, he starts with one.
Carefully, he pushes his middle finger inside of her and hums low and primal at how tight she is. "Such a good girl, Ang. All warm and snug around me. That feel good, love?" He watches as she shakes her head and licks her lips. "You want more, baby? Think you can take two?" Another nod. "Say it, precious girl. Tell me you want it."
Angie is certain that she will die if Tom doesn't make her cum in the next five minutes. At this point she'd walk a tight rope over the Grand Canyon for this man to fuck her. "I w-want it, Tom! Fuck...I can't...I need… shit, baby...please!"
He lets out a breathy laugh and slides his index finger through her folds a few times before pushing it in beside his other digit.
"Oh, my god! Oh, feels so good!"
He slowly starts to move them in and out, the sound of her wetness filling his room. "Mmm, yeah, baby? I'm glad it feels good. I can't wait to see how pretty you look when you come undone in my arms. You'll be nothing short of breathtaking, I'm sure."
He goes a bit faster and curls them slightly, searching for the spot he knows will drive her wild. Tom knows he finds it when she suddenly cries out, her juices beginning to drip down his hand.
"There it is, love. You sound so fucking pretty when you moan my name...makes me wanna cum just watching you like this, Ang." He pumps his fingers faster and pulls her into a kiss. Her body's shaking as she whimpers into his mouth. "Are you close, darling? I want you to cum, baby. C'mon, be my good girl and cum for me."
Angie has never felt pleasure like this in her life. She's touched herself before, but it's never felt like this. Hell, she didn't even know that spot existed until his thick fingers began rubbing it. Now that she knows it's there and how fucking good Tom is, she's addicted. She can feel her walls begin to clench and when his thumb moves over her clit she loses it.
"Tom! Tom! Oh, fuck, TOM! I… I… g-gonna cu-OH, FUCK!"
She throws her head back and cries out his name over and over like a mantra, her cum thoroughly soaking his hand. Her legs are shaking so hard that she'd have collapsed if he wasn't holding her up. Once she can think somewhat straight again, she opens her eyes and bites her lip as she watches Tom put his fingers in his mouth.
"Holy shit…"
It's all she can say, but he seems to understand.
"Sweetheart, you look a little restricted there." Angie gestures to his pants and bites her lip. "How about I get on my knees again, but this time you make yourself cum...while I watch…"
Tom almost does from her words alone. He watches as she kneels in front of again, looking at him with those innocent brown eyes.
"'M not gonna last long, love. Not with you looking up at me like that."
He takes himself out of his slacks and puts his left hand on the wall, slowly starting to pump himself with the right. "Shit…you look so sexy when you cum, baby. Love the sounds you made while I fucked that sweet pussy - mmm, fuck - with my fingers.
Angie drags her nails down his thighs and watches his mouth drop open. Tom's hand moves faster, twisting slightly when he slides over the flared head. She wants to taste him again, the salty, bitter tang of him becoming something she knows she'll crave.
"That's it, sweetheart. Let me taste you again."
Tom growls and grabs a fistful of her hair. "Open."
Angie obeys immediately and a second or two later he throws his head back, her name falling from his lips as he spills into her mouth.
She makes sure not to miss a drop, closing  her lips around the tip of his cock until he's too sensitive to handle it anymore. He's hunched over still, sweaty and panting, and Angie can't believe how sexy he looks like this. She rises to her feet and kisses him deeply.
"Did so well for me, sweetheart. I'm so proud of you."
Tom lets out a shaky breath and opens his eyes. "You're gonna be the death of me, love," He smiles lazily.
Since he's already partially undressed, Tom strips completely and throws on a t-shirt and sweats. "I don't know how long you plan to stay darling, but you can borrow some comfortable clothes if you want."
Angie goes on her tiptoes to wrap her arms around his neck, "actually…Jessy and I kind of already have things covered."
He rests his hands on her hips and raises an eyebrow. "Care to elaborate?"
She grins innocently, "well, see, Jessy also had a date tonight. Her and Chris are probably gettin' nasty just like we were, but anywho, she and I already told our parents that we were staying at the other's house."
Tom laughs and shakes his head. "You two are something else. Alright then, I'll let you pick out something to wear, and I'll make some popcorn for us to eat while we watch a movie."
Tumblr media
Chris is about to lose his mind from the way Jessy's begging to go down on him. Her brilliant hazel eyes stare up at him as he swallows. "Okay, sweetheart. Let me take these off."
She scoots back and waits patiently while he takes his pants and boxers off, tossing them on the nearby chair carelessly.
Jessy tugs on his hand until he gets down on the floor with her. Dodger has moved to Chris’s bed so they have more room to spread out.
"Honey, why are we on the floor?"
"'Cause I want you to lay down. I wanna be able to touch all of you." She gently pushes him until he's laying on his back. His left hand cradles her cheek as her petite body hovers over his.
Tumblr media
"Jessica…you know you're beautiful, right?" Chris brushes her hair back gingerly and admires her lovingly.
She casts her eyes down to his chest and draws little shapes with her fingertips. "Sweetheart, look at me."
She hesitates, and when she does, her eyes pool with tears. "I...I've never once felt like I was even remotely pretty. Every time I look at myself in the mirror I...I feel dirty." She blinks back tears and tries to sit up, but Chris’s grip is to strong. "I-I can't...I can't wash it off."
His heart constricts painfully at how broken she sounds. "What can't you wash off, baby?"
She lets out a choked sob, "h-him...all the times he… when he… I-I can't make it go away…"
Chris pulls her to his chest and turns them so she's laying on her side. "Shh. I've got you, sweet girl. He can't hurt you anymore. I won't let him. Not ever. You believe me, right?"
Her lip quivers and she inhales sharply. "Yes, but I don't understand why you even want me…," she closes her eyes and buries her head in the crook of his neck.
Chris holds her while she softly cries and pets her hair. "Jessy, why on Earth would you think such a thing? Why wouldn't I want you?"
"I'm tainted…"
Her voice is so small, almost inaudible. He wouldn't have even heard her if she wasn't this close to him. The moment the words leave her mouth he feels his heart break. He gently rolls her onto her back and props himself up on his arm.
"Oh, honey, no. Don't you dare think that way. Look at me, baby. I need you to look at me when I tell you this."
Jessy opens her eyes reluctantly and wipes the mascara off her cheeks.
"Jessica, you are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
She shakes her head no, and he frowns. "Yes. You. Are," he enunciates every word and kisses her lips gently. "The moment I laid my eyes on you at the park my whole world stopped. I had no idea anyone could be so damn pretty. I've been on this planet for forty years, and I've had my fair share of relationships. Hell, I'm a widower, baby."
Jessy's eyes snap up to his and her tiny hand caresses his cheek. "Chris…"
He silences her with another kiss. "I'm okay, sweetheart. She was sick, and as much as I wished she could stay, I didn't want her to suffer anymore." He kisses her forehead before continuing. "I'm telling you all of this because out of everyone I've ever been with, you are the only woman who's ever made me truly believe angels exist. I don't care how long it takes, but I will spend every day showing you just how beautiful you are...well, for as long as you'll let me anyway. I'll try my hardest to never hurt you."
Jessy gives him a tearful smile and kisses him hard. "Thank you."
"You don't have to thank me for being honest, honey. Now, I know you were dead set on continuing our little escapade, but I'm pretty tired. Can you sleep over? I don't wanna let you go just yet."
She nods and giggles, "yeah, about that, Angie and I kind of told a white lie."
He tilts his head in confusion, "what did you girls do this time?"
She rubs his chest and plays with the hair being mindful not to pull it. "We told our parents that we were staying at each other's houses since we both had dates tonight. She's probably suckin' face with Tom right now," she lets out a laugh and smiles up at him.
Chris beams at her, "there's my favorite smile. Well, I'm glad Tom's gettin' some too. I swear, that man's been single the entire time I've known him." He stands and scoops her up into his arms. "Ahh! Chris! I can walk, ya know."
"I know," he winks, "I just decided I'd rather carry you." Dodger lifts his head and shakes it back and forth, his tail wagging happily. "Hey, buddy, we gotta share the bed tonight, okay? Jessy is sleepin' over and you're gonna have to let her sleep in the middle. He yawns and curls up at the foot of the bed. "Good boy, Dodge."
Chris lays Jessy down and climbs under the covers beside her, pulling her into his arms again. "I had a wonderful evening and I'm excited to spend the day with you tomorrow," he whispers and kisses her lips softly.
"Me too," she snuggles closer and lays her head on his chest, his heartbeat thumping rhythmically against her temple. It only takes a few minutes before he hears her breathing even out, and he holds her a little tighter before closing his own eyes.
"Goodnight, sweet girl."

Taking Flight - Chapter 8 - Surviving

“Marigold! Wakey, wakey!” Bridget called as she climbed into Marinette’s room.
Marinette groaned as she pulled her blanket down around her head.
“I seriously don’t know how your mother hasn’t just shoved you off your bed yet,” Bridget said as she came up the ladder.
“See us wells at ne,” Marinette’s face was muffled from the layers on her.
Bridget whacks Marinettes thigh, “Get up darling. Can’t understand you when you cover your face.”
“Oww!” Marinette jolted up. She glared at Bridget with gritted teeth, “I said she just yells at me.”
“Well she used to drag me out of bed without worry. I don’t know why she never drags you around the house. That was the highlight of her day,” Bridget climbed down the ladder. She looked at the windows, they had paper taped to them. Colorful pinks and purples, some blues in here and there.
Bridget couldn't help herself from touching the paper, it was like looking at evidence in the labs. It helped her to think, that if she got her own handle on it then maybe the pieces could come together easier. Or maybe it was just therapeutic for her, to help her overcome the pressures.
But this wasn't a case, this wasn't a mission. This was her niece, her fifteen-year-old niece who had grown after she left. And the saddest part was she didn't get to see her flourish, even if it was in this disgusting magic war.
This war was a disgrace to the city, magic, and at most to Diana. How could the city just close itself off from the world? Was it shame? Shame that they obviously had to rely on children to protect them. They knew they could get help from outside heroes, heroes that knew the ways with magic. So why did they restrict their doors to the path of progression?
“Āyi what are you doing?” Marinette snapped Bridget out of her web of possibly. Bridget turned to Marinette, she had that same nervous overly done smile plastered on her face. Her eyes looked between her and the paper as if she was on the verge of being made. But what would sweet Marinette need to worry about being made about? Perhaps it’s just her usual nerves, Marinette was always a bit jumpy.
“Just looking at the paper, it’s very pretty.” Bridget knew how to get information out of Marinette when she spun her words just right.
“Oh yeah!”-Still nervous-“I put it up 'cause I wanted to change my room up a bit”-Not a complete lie, but she’s still hiding something-“It gives a nice effect when the sun is in the right place. Also, Akumas flying around or heroes swinging by can see in. It gives me privacy, Ladybug and Chat Noir go around at night to see how likely an Akuma may or may not be, and to be already about in case.”
That last part was true but still had something else. It makes sense, you don’t want peeping toms; also it would be awkward if a hero was making their rounds and glanced by your window at the wrong moment.
“I really need some for myself,” Bridget touched the paper again. Marinette tensed again, Interesting. “Where did you get it?”
“My favorite crafts shop!” Marinette’s voice went chirper.
“Are you okay Mari?” Bridget asked turning back to her niece. Marinette’s eyes had been looking behind her before looking her in the eyes, with her smile a little too forced. Bridget turned around but found nothing there. When she faced her niece again she fought to narrow her eyes at the girl. Marinette let out an uncomfortable laugh, “Well thank you for waking me up so early, I can actually get to school on time! Wait what time is it?”
“Uhh,” Bridget looked down at her watch. “It’s 6:11 am.”
“What,” Marinette squeaked. Her eyes looked like they were bulging out of her head.
“06:11, sorry I forgot you guys use continental time.”
“No, no I understand your American 12-hour clock time. Just why?” Marinette looked so pained looking at Bridget.
“Because you should get up? You’re always late I thought I would help you get up.”
“School is right next door!” Marinettes hands gestured dramatically towards the school.
“And yet you always wake up late, meaning getting up late, which means you get ready late, so you’re out the door late. And then you arrive tardy, and that makes or breaks your future! You need to get yourself in a morning routine or a better night routine.” Bridget scolded the young girl. “Anyway I’m making breakfast, you’re parents are starting the Bakery.”
“Okay, thanks!” Bridget heard her call to her as she exited the room closing the trap door behind her.
Bridget opened the fridge door to an abundance of different foods and snacks.
“Marinette likes to eat in her room lately, she’s been getting all these different things and it’s been filling up. Leaving us without as much room as before, we’ve been considering buying her a mini-fridge.”
Sabines' words from their call a few weeks ago rang in her ears. Perhaps she could just leave the food up in her room. She could just hang out with her after she ate. Bridget was many things but unobservant was not one. Marinette had always liked a little privacy and she could respect that, and Marinette was a growing girl and they had their secrets. She knew that; it just kinda hurt is all, but she couldn’t change that.
Bridget grabbed the foods on the list stuck to the refrigerator. And complied them neatly on the tray, it was strange she ate so much. Yes, Marinette had always been one to eat more than she looked she could, but seriously all this for breakfast? Bridget left a few things out because obviously not all of these could be eaten for breakfast. Marinette could have the others at lunch, also today was a half day. She could eat these during the rest of the evening if she wanted to.
Bridget was about to knock on the door when she heard voices and Marinette squeal, or maybe squeak would be better. Some sounded like they were coming from a device but some sounded like there were others in Marinette’s room. She heard Marinette move things and tripping over things and possibly herself. Bridget fought the urge to flinch at the sounds.
Bridget finally knocked on the trap door, “Marinette are you okay up here? I have breakfast for you.”
“Āyi!” Marinette's leg snagged on part of her chair as Bridget turned to her. Marinette fell but brought her forearms up to break her fall, “Thank you! Um, let me just-” Marinette turned her sewing machine sideways for her aunt to set it down on the space.
“Marinette is that your aunt?” an orotund voice asked, it wasn’t the clearest due to it coming from Marinette’s speakers.
“Yes I am,” Bridget smirked as she turned to the screen to find Alya Césaire. Exactly the girl she had been wanting to talk to. Yes she had met Alya multiple times but Marinette or her were always dragging the other out the door. So there was never a formal meeting.
Bridget heard Marinette mutter an “oh no” under her breath.
“Oh my gosh, I’ve been wanting to meet you!” Alya said through the screen. “Mari is always dragging me off to do things or we’re already got plans.”
“Of course, you girls are busy. Also where are you from? Your accent isn’t thick like Marigold’s.”
“Oh, I’m from America. We moved here last year because my mom got an offer to be a cook at Le Grand Paris. And well here we are,” Alya said. “Also thank you for getting Marinette up so early, I never get to talk to her this early.”
Marinette groaned as she nibbled on some dragon fruit. She had taken bites from a bit of everything, but she didn’t seem to eat that much of them. But she was almost done with her cereal though.
“Of course, I’m surprised her mother hasn’t been doing it the way I did it.” Bridget joked.
“I hope she doesn’t take it to heart,” Marinette mumbled.
“Oh that depends on you getting your shit together,” Bridget said dryly.
“Can you leave so I can talk to my best friend please?” Marinette glared at Bridget. Huh.
“You wound me Mars! What happened to when I was your best friend?” Bridget dramatically flung herself on the chaise.
Marinette yanked Bridget up off of the chaise, which wow! Marinette didn’t look that strong. She knew Sabine had trained her in Martial Arts but not that she had put on some mussel. Then again maybe everyone had with what was happening in their city.
“Out!” Marinette cried, although she had let a laugh slip out Bridget could feel the annoyance in Marinette’s voice.
“Okay, okay. I’m outing, I’m outing!” Bridget said as she went down the stairs.
Okay while that had not gone as planned she did get to officially meet Alya. Kinda. And that means if she just happened to randomly see her while she was out it wouldn’t be so weird if she just walked up to her. Besides everyone had been overly nice in Paris, at least some people. It unnerved Bridget to ends meet. While it makes sense it’s annoying, cause how well had people gotten at pretending?
Now of course it was to be expected that the people would need to adapt. It was only natural, that’s what evolution was all about. An organism developing from acting one way to another as nature and its surroundings in order to survive. Such as how birds while in the same genus had many different species as they varied due to the area they lived. And those who did well moved on as natural selection or Darwinism. Sometimes though it was through perseverance and resilience that one made it through, and that was far more admirable.
Close to, if not, the perfect example of if you’re determined enough you can do anything. All Chengs knew that mentality well.
-•-
Marinette rested her head on Alya’s shoulder, she wanted to curl up in the sun and stay there until Bridget left. Perhaps she was spending more time with Chat than she thought, the dark hair haired girl thought with a sigh. Bridget just got on her nerves for some reason. It wasn't like this before, yes Bridget always had a tendency to get into people’s bubbles but she was respectful, she saw where she overstepped. But it didn't sit right with Marinette, it was like Bridget was looking for something.
But Bridget wasn't anything to worry about; she's just a civilian, a very personal bubble invading civilian.
Like she just barged into her room and smacked her leg! Yes it got her up but oh Kwami she could have been nicer! Bridget was so over the top and it was aggravating to no end. Marinette had to sneak the Kwami food while her aunt talked to Alya. Like yeah, she got her out but the Kwami didn't get their respective snacks to just be naturally fueled.
It was amazing to finally be up early though, not to mention some of the Kwami got to eat in the morning rather than waiting for her to return for lunch, or sneaking down. Marinette did leave some snacks accessible in her room but she couldn't leave much without getting in trouble.
Marinette sighed again much more tiredly as her eyes felt like they sagged down her face. At this point she was surprised her face hadn't slid off with how tired she was.
“Oh come on girl, I doubt your aunt is that bad. She seems great.” Alya smirked down at Marinette with her unblocked arm on her hip.
“Important note, never use “seem” around my aunt. That's like an automatic judgey auntie eyes for you,” Marinette said as she finally raised her head from Alya’s shoulder.
“Don't get what that means entirely but noted,” Alya said with a laugh. “Anyway, are you excited about French-American friendship week next month? I can't wait, I hope we get to see Majestia in person. You need to see her!”
Marinette smiled as Alya ranted about the heroes of New York City. Marinette had heard Alya go for hours upon hours of hundreds of heroes. From the most famous to little guys that didn't get the recognition they deserved. Alya talked the most about the United Heroes and the Justice League, usually the United Heroes as she had lived in what had consisted of their heroing jurisdiction for the majority of her life. A good chunk of that being the North Eastern of the States, along with bleeding into the Midwest. And the Justice League because we'll, it was the Justice League. What hero enthusiast wouldn't be obsessed with it?
Not to mention Alya was 1,000% confident that they were gonna be one of the classes to win the contest to participate in the week-long exchange. It was New York’s turn to host the event between the two countries, the previous year it had been in Lyon, France as Paris wasn’t available due to Hawkmoth and not wanting to risk the safety of some American students. Of course Marinette wouldn’t know that, but Ladybug would have played a part while discussing this with the mayor and President. Also the President loved the idea for it showed more than just Paris to the students, showed from reports it actually did very well and the students got to learn efficiently about the economics of France as Lyon was a major centre of banking, biotech, pharmaceuticals, and other things. The students even got to tour a decent amount of the universities that Lyon has to offer.
Marinette had been over the moon when she heard how well it went.
“Is that Chloé?” someone said.
Marinette snapped out of her thought train.
“Guess the greedy bitch decided to stop hiding in her daddy’s hotel,” another sneered.
“And to think she was turning over a new leaf.” another guy said quieter than the others.
“Pft as if. That leaf was made of fool's gold.” the first person said with disgust.
“How is the President even letting this slide?” An older classman asked before continuing, “She should be locked up at this point.”
“How does she let the Mayor abuse his power like this? Let alone to the whim of his daughter,” a fifth person piped up.
The comments went on, people glaring at the blonde. Marinette could easily pick her out of the crowd, with the way people seemed to avoid one section of the courtyard how could you not? But she looked…different.
Chloé was no longer having her signature fierce white with her yellow overcoat. Her white shirt with stripes no more, her sleek eye-catching yellow jacket all gone. Now she had dark brown pants and a beige shirt with a soft yellow cardigan. They were still undoubtedly high brands, but they were far more modest than anything the girl had worn. Chloé still had her hair in a ponytail but it was much looser than her high-strung one. It was freer, it certainly wasn't the straight I’m-better-than-you one she wore for the last few years.
All of it made Chloé look so much more real, she looked soft and not just for her new look. Her face was serene in a way; she still didn't give a crap what people thought of her, clearly, but there was something in the way she held herself that was different from the few times Marinette saw her while on Patrols last week.
It had been two weeks to the day, since Double Strike as everyone had started to call it. Marinette supposed they weren't wrong. But just that thought made Marinette’s insides twist. It had been two weeks since Master Fu had lost his memories and given her the responsibility of watching over the Miracle Box.
“Do you think she’s okay?” Alya asked finally, it brought Marinette back to the now.
“I'm sure she’s just been processing. It must have been horrible, having your parents Akumatized and not getting to help save them. And then that very emotion being what made you an accomplice in more pain,” Marinette replied. Though it wasn't really out of answering the question, more her internal guilt gnawing at her. While it wasn’t entirely her fault (the Kwami had been trying to tell it wasn’t her fault at all), she still played a major role in it.
Alya gave her a weird look in question, but didn't press Marinette. As much as she would love to, Marinette hadn't even turned to Alya, just kept watching Chloé as she scrolled through her phone. Alya would ask later.
-•-
“Chloé!” Sabrina ran over to Chloé excitedly to see her best friend again. Everyone in the courtyard seemed to hush, some tried to pretend they weren't watching but it was very obvious. Chloé could almost feel the eyes turning their way, the ears tunning in with that weird cartoony sound when a character remembered something.
“Chloé I’m so glad you're back! I’ve been doing your homework for you even while you were away. So you don't have to worry about that at all! Not to mention I’ve kept your seat clean for you, not even a fly has sat-” Sabrina’s loud ramblings were cut off.
“Sabrina stop.” While Chloé’s quiet voice still held its’ commanding air, but it had lost its annoyed tone. It sounded more like a plea to Chloé’s ears. The fact that she couldn't help her voice to come up a plea made her feel a bit dizzy, as it was very unusual; it felt unusual. Sabrina looked at Chloé with innocent waiting eyes, if Sabrina became an Akuma due to this Chloé didn’t know what she would do. Chloé looked at the redhead for a moment before sighing, “This isn't going to work anymore Sabrina.”
“What? Bu-But Chloé- I don’t-” Sabrina's stuttering stopped when Chloé interrupted again.
“It isn't going to work because this isn't okay. How I’ve treated you isn't good, and I knew that and continued to anyway for a good chunk of that time. I may have been raised in an environment where I was taught it was okay but it doesn't mean that it is okay.” Chloé took a deep breath, “We can't be friends Sabrina, we, uck. Really what was going on here wasn't even friendship, my friendship with Adrikins is just passing. But with you it’s barely even classifiable as that and you went along with it, and I, in a way, taught you that this was okay. It's ridiculous that no one sensible tried to tell me- Wait no- ugh! No sensible adult tried to tell me that, they just let me. Even before Hawkmoth.”
“Chloé, it's fine!” Sabrina cried. Chloé’s heart twisted, God please don’t let her get Akumatized. Because despite how their relationship was she had grown to care about Sabrina. She had disregarded all the red flags they both gave for years, and it needed to stop before there was no turning back.
“No, it’s not and you should know that. But you don’t, because of me. I’ve done some reflecting,” Chloé said the word like she was trying dragon fruit for the time again. The texture of the jelly-like interior paired with seeds taking up the area like a strawberry. The word left her off-set like the fruit. “And I’ve realized that I can't really become a better person if you’re still acting as some servant of mine. We can’t continue like this.”
“But we can still be friends right? We can still be friends!” Sabrina grabbed Chloé’s hand with desperation. Her eyes bore into the blond’s, as if this would save them.
“No, we can’t Sabrina,” Chloé took her hand away. “I have switched seats with Krutzberg, he will be your new seatmate.” Some of the words came out with clear disgust but it was necessary. She was just glad she was able to get them to move the Italian lair across the aisle without much argument. When they first tried to say that it was unnecessary as she was already asking for a disruption in the class. All it took was threatening to bring her father into the equation for them to comply.
“Wha-What?” Sabrina sounded so heartbroken, her eyes widening at the blond. But Chloé was right, she knew it. She had thought long and hard, and Sabrina and Chloé enabled the other in the worst ways possible. They both needed to become their own persons, and that couldn't happen if Chloé still allowed Sabrina to do everything she made her do for her.
Chloé walked away from Sabrina feeling a little lighter, this is the right thing to do. That's what she kept telling herself, there were better ways but Chloé just wanted to rip the bandaid off. She had never liked to drag things out, which was one of the reasons she had taken the habit of using her father to get her way.
The whispers followed her throughout the day, not that it was a new thing. Her mother’s scandal had latched itself onto her and her father long ago before she was aware. And for once none of it bothered her, it didn’t get under her skin. And Chloé felt all the more stronger for it.
☾•☽
Makzenie stared at the door, she had been doing this for who knows how long. She really didn’t want to do this but she knew the hero wouldn’t stop bothering her or giving her things unless she did something. Sure she could have skipped town, but how? She had no money; most of the ways out were turned into fortresses after Hawkmoth started. They made it difficult for people to get in, and in turn, made the same for the opposite.
Even then she wouldn’t know her way around like she knew Paris, she wouldn’t have the same equivalent of knowledge she did here. She knew Roger’s chase limit; she knew the best spots to crash; she’d made safe-havens. If she left she would be left worse off than she was here.
Perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad an idea to reach out…
She finally took a deep breath and brought her hand up to knock on the door only for it open in front of her. Makzenie blinked once before looking up at the giant teddy bear man that was Tom Dupain. The girl blinked again suddenly feeling extremely short when she was quite tall her age really. She watched as the man seemed to brighten up at the sight of her, even in her dirty clothes and semi-tangled hair. She started to feel dirtier than she had a few seconds ago, becoming very self-conscious. She felt the dirt and grime that stuck to her hands; the too-thin fabric of her shoes; the heaviness of her eyebags; the weight of her backpack while it didn’t hold much suddenly became kilograms, the straps becoming more apparent to her nerves.
“Makkie listen to me. Respirer,” Tom’s voice broke through. Makzenie’s eyes looked up to the baker, “There you are. Take another breath with me.” Makzenie complied and took breaths along with Tom.
Tom helped her sit down on the stair step, “I just need to deliver this box across the street. Do you think you’ll be okay if I leave you here for a few minutes?”
Makzenie nodded, but Tom raised his eyebrows at her. While the face was supposed to be stern it made Makzenie smile, because as sweet as the baker was he could never threaten anyone who knew him. She nodded again, “Really I’ll be fine while you do that.”
Tom seemed to hesitate before nodding and mumbling to himself as he picked up the box to make his delivery. It didn’t take that long but it felt as though he was gone for way longer; it didn’t help that she couldn’t stop her leg from bouncing while she waited. Usually, she was better at hiding her nervousness, she prided herself on it. But then again, it wasn’t like this was something she did every day. In fact, being in situations like this were one she actively avoided.
“Makkie?” Makzenie looked up to see Sabine looking at her confused. “I didn’t know you were here. I would have welcomed you in if I had.”
“Oh it’s fine Mme. Cheng. M. Dupain let me in. He said he’d be back after a delivery.” The girl tried her best to smile at Sabine with confidence. Confidence she didn’t really have at the moment.
“Let me get you something to eat dear.”
Makzenie's eyes widened in panic, “No, it’s fine really. You don’t need to!”
Makzenie’s words fell on deaf ears as Sabine blatantly ignored everything that came out of the girl’s mouth. Sabine left her to retrieve something for Makzenie. Makzenie sighed and pulled her hair back with a groan. It’s not like she didn’t appreciate the Dupain-Chengs, they offered help to anyone. They didn’t try to force her to meet social workers or to go to homeless shelters, they didn’t hide how they felt, and while they didn’t try to push her into things they also didn’t directly ask her questions. It was strange how sometimes they seemed so direct and then when Mak took a closer look that they were asking around the bigger questions they want to ask.
Sabine reemerged with a box, “We don’t have much for regular nutritional food but if you stayed around you could stay for dinner.”
Makzenie opened her mouth but closed it. It’s okay, they were good people. Genuine good people unlike most of Paris, everyone had to put on a face and be nice if you didn’t want to cause an Akuma.
“That would be nice,” Makzenie finally said. “I uh, I wanted to talk to you two about something. Not right now though, it can wait.”
“Of course,” Sabine gave her a smile. “If you’d like you can just hang out down here, or upstairs. I can’t let you just sit around in the bakery or the kitchen.”
“You don’t have to,” Makzenie started to say. Sabine suddenly rose and shook her head, “No come upstairs dear. I trust you not to get into anything we haven’t allowed you into before.”
Makzenie reluctantly followed the older woman. It wasn’t her first time with them, but this time she was very nervous. She had nothing to worry about, this was M. Dupain and Mme. Cheng.
“Right now not many people come in. I only have a few minutes tops, I’ll let Tom know you’re up here when he gets back.” Sabine explained as she unlocked the door, “You can watch anything we have while you wait. Marinette is coming home soon, and if the door opens before then it’s either Tom and myself or possibly my sister.”
Makzenie’s eyebrows rose and she looked at the short woman. It never crossed her mind that Mme. Cheng would have siblings, but then again her kind and defensive nature seemed to make more sense.
“Her name is Bai- I mean Bridget,” Sabine let out a chuckle mainly to herself. “I forget not to call her by her birth name. But if isn’t one of us, it’s most likely her.”
Makzenie stood awkwardly near the door as she took in the area. It wasn’t her first time in here but it always made her feel out of place. The place was so clean, the thinnest layer of dust on the shelves and coats or shoes just laying mostly out of the way. It was so simple, just purely mundane.
“Come on sweetheart come sit down.” Sabine gestured to the couch. She showed her a reassuring smile before opening the cabinet that the tv sat a top of, “Pick anything you like. I'll just be down in the bakery.”
Makzenie mumbled a thank you as Sabine went to reattend the bakery. The girl decided it wouldn’t hurt to put something on, she went through the cases reading the backs trying to find something that piqued her interest. She must have been doing this for a while because she heard a knock on the door, which made her jump, before it opened. She turned back to see the baker's daughter enter with a smile.
“It’s just me,” the girl sent Makzenie a reassuring smile. Makzenie couldn’t help but smile back.
Makzenie lifted her arm, “Still got the coat. It’s a bit dirty now though.”
“That’s okay,” Marinette said with a laugh. “Clothes aren’t meant to keep the wearer warm and comfortable. And that includes getting dirty, no one likes to be dirty.” Marinette’s eyes seemed to scan the girl over before looking her in the eyes again, “Do you want to take a shower? I have some clothes you can borrow. You’re slightly taller than me but I think you’ll fit something.”
Makzenie even if didn’t mean to had leaned away as the girl said this. She didn’t want to intrude, but as Marinette looked at her with her wide eyes she thought, I’m already going to be asking something that does have me practically intruding.
“It wouldn’t hurt,” Makzenie finally said getting up.
“Okay just give me a moment,” Marinette ran up to her room. After hearing the teen make her way through her room for a few seconds a very loud thump sounded. Makzenie cringed away from the ladder. How the girl always seemed to be falling or bumping into things made many worry, that did not exclude Makzenie.
“Here!” Marinette cried when she came back down. “These should fit you. If not I can always adjust them. Here’s a towel, feel free to use mine,” Marinette had grabbed Makzenie’s hand and brought her toward the bathroom. She pointed at the bottle, “That one, don’t worry about the water just enjoy it for a moment.”
Marinette smiled at Makzenie, the younger girl gave a small one back. Marinette turned to leave before turning back, “And you can lock the door. So you don’t have to worry about anything.”
“Oh, um. Thank you.” the girl said before Marinette left. Makzenie shut the door behind her and locked it. She took a deep breath as she looked around the bathroom and started the water. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad, if Chat was right.
-•-
“And then,” Marinette said with a mouth full of spaghetti before swallowing it down. “And then! Kim chanced Alix out of the classroom for the bracelet.”
Mackenzie laughed with the Dupain-Chengs and Mme. Cheng’s sister. The woman, Bridget, was quite strange, while she had a bubbly personality of sorts she wasn’t truly all smiles and fake positivities or someone trying their hardest to hold on to her positive emotions. It was refreshing if Makzenie was being honest, as that’s what most of Paris was. Positive emotions had become things that had to linger, people going out of their way to make happy and perfect events. Not a thing could go wrong, some people did well enough despite it all. Others though, Makzenie didn’t want to remember them.
“So Makzenie what did you want to talk about?” Sabine asked gently and quietly. Makzenie swallowed down some noodles, she suddenly didn’t want to go through with it. She wasn’t the only one out there, but it felt selfish of her to leave them.
But like them, she just wanted a home.
When she looked up to finally say something Bridget’s calculating eyes made her stop. She shifted in her seat under her gaze. It felt like she wasn’t seeing her but through into her, analyzing every part of her.
Bridget reached for her hand but Makzenie brought her hands under the table.
“From a bad home?” The Asian American asked in her rusty French. Makzenie pursed her lips before nodding.
“I, um, I was hoping I could stay with you,” Makzenie stared at the plate in front of her.
“Oh dear,” Sabine took the young girl’s hand. “Of course, you can. We know the shelters aren’t the best, and that process can be messy.”
“I can help you get out,” Bridget said moving her head so Makzenie could look at her. “I know people, um, that can make it go easy. Did I say that right?” Bridget glanced over to Sabine who chuclked and nodded.
They started talking about what they could do. Bridget slipping into English as she spoke to Sabine and Tom.
Marinette nudged Makzenie to give her a smile.

September 25, 2019 ☾•☽ September 25, 2019
So I did research on homelessness in Paris before I finished this chapter, and by that I mean this morning, it’s actually surprisingly high. But also I suppose it shouldn't be surprised as it's a big city and a capital. It became worse after Covid as their system was taken from them.
Their shelters aren't very hygienic is what I remember from reading from one of the four articles I will be linking. So that's something I decided I want to make it apart of my story.
Disclaimer: I am not from France or fully aware of their political culture and problems. I am simply using them for a story element and also thought it would be good to bring up.

Teen-girl Detective
The missing tabby
It was a day like any other, although Diana Tully had just moved to a new town and was unpacking when she noticed a cute little tabby cat with a pink collar on the lawn next door. As Diana went to pet it, she noticed an old-woman at the window. When she saw the woman, she got such a fright. Diana ran back to her mother, who was in the kitchen. To tell her that she had just seen a scary old-woman in the house next door, and her mom said she was their next-door neighbour, Mrs. Higgins, then said she's not that scary once you get to know her, but Diana did not hear her mother she was already thinking about her first day at her new school.
A few months passed, and Diana had made a new friend at school, and her name was Sophia. The night before Sophia was going to have a sleepover, there was a storm, yet it was not an ordinary storm. It was a giant storm. It caused Diana to be so scared that she hid under the covers for the whole night. When it was morning, the storm had cleared, Sophia had just arrived as they were going inside, Diana noticed something that looked like a pink cat collar, then they went inside and showed Diana's mother. Her mother said it was their next-door neighbour's cat collar, then suddenly, there was a knock at the front door. It was Mrs. Higgins, and she seemed to have a worried look on her face. She spoke, in a little voice, "Excuse me, but have you seen my cat, Elle? She seems to have gone missing since last night, and I've looked in all her favorite places she usually is, and I couldn't find her. I looked everywhere but still couldn't find her. As Diana's mom spoke with Mrs. Higgins. Diana and Sophia slipped into her room at the top of the stairs and started planning a rescue mission, but where was Elle? As Sophia thought about what to do first, the light caught, her eyes and she decided to close the curtains but didn't know that there was a bird on the ledge. Sophia closed the curtains and still didn't notice it had been there until it flew away. Sophia watched it fly away as she watched it swoop down then something, caught her eye. I see something shiny down there she exclaimed, so they went down to the garden and found a cat bell buried in some dirt. "We found a clue," said Diana.
I've seen these kinds of things on TV, and they are called detectives who find items that are lost, as well as return them to their owners. That's a good idea, Sophia, let's be detectives and solve this mystery cat's disappearance. I have an idea said Diana let's search my backyard and see if she's hiding there.
So they decided to begin searching in the garden and found a trail of paw prints. The prints had faded in the dirt, although Diana knew that she was close, so they started looking in the bushes near to the fence at the end of the yard and looked after that looked some more but could not find Elle, they searched next to the chicken coop, but they couldn't find her there either. The duo was about to give up, except then Diana remembered the shed where her mom kept all the gardening tools and walked to it not only did they see a hole in the side wall big enough for a cat to get through. They also heard a sound that sounded like little meows, quickly they ran into the house and grabbed the key to unlock the shed door. When they managed to open the door, they found Elle. She was on the blanket that had been left there by accident the night before, Diana's mother said as they looked at it closer there seemed to be something moving under it. The movement turned out to be a kitten, yet there was not one kitten but three! The girls were very happy that they found Elle and her newborn kittens, but how were they going to give them back to Mrs. Higgins? And so they found a basket and put the kittens and Elle in it in addition took them to Mrs. Higgins house and Diana took a gulp of air in and pressed the bell on the wall, as it rang out with a fuzzy tune, as it finished, the door opened. Mrs. Higgins was standing there with a puzzled look on her face. Good afternoon little ones. What can I help you with?" she asked.
"Excuse me, Mrs. Higgins. We are here to return your missing cat, Elle. And as Diana said that, the cat had poked her head out of the basket.
"Oh, you found, Elle. Thank you, but where was she?" Mrs. Higgins asked.
"She was in my mother's shed. It seems that she felt safe there to give birth to her newborn babies."
"Oh, my!" said Mrs. Higgins. She was looking a little bit thicker lately," she said as Mrs. Higgins took the basket. She looked in it and said: "They are so cute. Thank you for finding them. Would you like to come in? I have just made some tea. It would be nice to find out how you found her." And so Diana and Sophia nervously walked in and looked at the walls, which had many pictures hanging on them of Mrs. Higgins at her young age, one of her in Romania wearing gypsy-like clothing and dancing with a mysteriously handsome young man.
"Is this you in Romania?" asked Diana.
"Yes," replied Mrs. Higgins as she placed the tea on the table in the middle of the room.
"Might I ask who the handsome young man is?" asked Sophia.
"Oh, he was late Mr. Higgins," Mrs said with a sigh,"Ive had that picture since nineteen twenty-five. But let's hear how you found my little Elle, who I was so worried about."
For the rest of the afternoon, Diana and Sophia explained how they followed the clues that led them to Elle and her kittens, and to her friendly neighbour, Mrs. Higgins, and from that day on, Diana never forgot the day she found her courage.

DP - PT AU - The Deal 4
Vlad watched his kitten as she laid there beside him in the nest she'd made for them. He looked for all the world as though he were attempting to commit the ghostly young woman's face to memory.
It'd been a year & some change since they initiated their deal & he'd recently learned of the destiny they shared by discovering their shared soulmate marks.
During their year together, he'd trained her in everything he knew about their ghost powers & it quickly became evident that besides a few things like specific powers such as teleportation (once she knew the trigger, she excelled at it rapidly) & more advanced training in certain abilities such as shields (which she already had a talent for), there wasn't much he could teach her. She possessed a very different skillset to his for starters.
She very rapidly overshot him & it left him both humbled & aroused to know that he was destined to be with such a powerful young woman.
During that time, they also socialized on a regular basis & it turned out they had many interests in common. More so than they knew before.
She was also incredibly intelligent. There were times when they'd get into a debate & Diana would absolutely stump him, leaving the business mogul dazzled & he would be unable to stop himself from silencing her with his lips. She was always especially attractive in those moments. Eyes sparkling bright with passion, but words calm & calculated. Those times when he kissed away her argument always turned heated. Often resulting in passionate love-making that left them both breathless.
Now, she lay there asleep after their most recent night together. Vlad continued to examine the young woman, part of him anxious for the end of the school year so they could specifically start trying for a baby.
Vlad already had the best prenatals in mind & had bought the best known baby books he could find. He'd soon start asking his Darling's opinion on the baby's room as, of course they'd be living with him. The idea of his pregnant lover living so far away & out of reach made him bristle, the hackles of what he now knew as his inner alpha rising with protective instincts.
Diana had just gotten in an acceptance letter from Chicago's medical school & Vlad had immediately bought a house there for them to live in together because he couldn't stand the thought of being away from her. Halfway through, he paused, realizing what he was doing. Was he really so attached to her?
Suddenly, images of Diana flying through the air or clumsily following his lead as he taught her to dance or brows furrowed in concentration as she tried to think of her next chess move or just sitting & reading a book or asleep in his bed with a heavily pregnant belly or exhausted but happy & holding the small bundle she'd just brought into the world in her arms. It made his heart beat hard & his stomach flutter, a smile coming to his face.
Yes, he supposed he was.
---
It was night when Vlad was standing, leaning against the railing of a bridge overlooking Cauldron Lake in the middle of Silent Hill Park with a smoking cigarette between his fingers.
He was contemplating his relationship with his Darling Diana & his seemingly changing feelings for her when he was set upon by the man he hated the most.
Jack: "You met someone didn't you? Who is she?"
Vlad sputtered.
Jack: "Come on, tell me!"
Vlad was highly opposed to it, but then he thought about it. In his mind, Diana was his only true friend, but it'd feel a little strange talking to Diana about his feelings for Diana. At least, before he'd figured out what those feelings were exactly. Besides, he needed a second opinion.
Yes, he hated Jack, but if nothing else, he was useful as a tool towards Vlad's own ends.
Vlad: "I suppose there is... but we're not official. Not really."
Jack: "Oh?"
Vlad: "You see, we have this deal right now. You remember how much I've always wanted a family of my own?"
Jack: "Used to talk about it all the time in college!"
Vlad: "Well, I haven't really, seriously dated anyone since... well... the accident."
At this, a flash of instinctive & familiar rage rushed through him & for a moment, he was severely tempted to just sock the mountainous man in the jaw, but was able to control the urge.
Jack just looked at him awkwardly, obviously knowing what the millionaire was talking about, but didn't say anything which just made Vlad seethe inside.
He took a deep drag from his cig to calm himself & remember that not killing her father was part of the deal he made with Diana.
Vlad: "Anyway, the deal is that if she became my apprentice & gave me a child, then I'd do something for her. Sort of a surrogacy situation with a little more to it."
Vlad: "I wasn't supposed to get so close or attached to her, but now I am & I'm not sure what to do about it."
Jack: "What's she get outta it?"
Vlad: "I can't tell you, Jack. I'm only able to tell you my half of the bargain."
Jack: "Aaawww! Bogus! Then, tell me more about her at least!"
Vlad hesitated, but figured that Jack was stupid enough that so long as he kept it vague, he wouldn't be able to put it together.
He sighed wistfully.
Vlad: "She's just... so very intelligent & charming, fun, feisty, independant, &... devastatingly beautiful. And she never takes any of my... sugar honey iced tea...  not many people are willing to do that without wanting something out of it. And before you say it, it wasn't money or fame or prestige that she wanted. What she asked for was actually pretty simple & easy to accomplish. It's me who stands to gain the most from the bargain.”
Vlad: “Not a lot of people can stand up to me like she does & I can't help admiring that about her. And you should see her when she debates. The way her eyes light up is... it's magic. So passionate, yet calculating!"
Vlad: "I enjoy talking to her. About anything, really. Books, food, music."
Vlad: "You should hear her talk about medicine!"
Jack: "Oh! She's a doctor?"
Vlad: "She's going to be. And I just know that she'll end up revolutionizing the medical world when she does."
Jack: "Well, isn't that a coincidence! Dina-baby's going into medicine too & she's a natural! She helped Mads make a salve that disinfects wounds & burns of ecto-contamination!"
The pride he had in his daughter was obvious.
Vlad just glanced off to the side with a secretive smile on his face as he put his cigarette to his lips again. The more sinister side of him took great delight in the knowledge that he was fucking the daughter of the man who ruined his life, behind his back & would soon impregnate her with what he was sure the man would consider half-ghost abominations. It sent a wickedly delightful thrill up his spine to think about.
Vlad: "Hmm. That really is a coincidence. Wonder how that came about."
Jack: "I dunno, but maybe they could be friends!"
Vlad just snorted out the smoke in his lungs as he imagined 2 Dianas, one Fenton & one Phantom, shaking hands & gossiping like old women. Then, in a feat of association, contemplated new ways to help his Darling better refine her use of duplicates.
She was so talented. It made Vlad proud to watch as she excelled.
For Jack's part, he'd never seen that expression on Vlad's face. It was so soft & warm & full of fondness, but edged with something more. He knew that look well. It was the same one that he saw in the mirror when he first started dating Maddie. Hell, he still had it!
Vlad thought about it for a moment &, while it might not be the smartest thing to reveal, he was just so giddy at the thought of it! He had to tell someone!
Vlad: "That isn't all..."
Jack perked his brow with interest.
Jack: "Oh?"
Vlad: "We... we share a mark..."
Jack was silent for a moment, processing what he'd just been told.
Now, Mads had never believed in the concept of souls & soulmates, but Jack always had. He just never said so because of Maddie. Which was why the discovery that ectoplasm reacted to soulmate marks shocked him so badly.
Because, if it turned out that ghosts really did keep their souls after death & if everything the ghost girl said was true, then what had he done to all those ghosts over the years. He hoped that it wasn't true, but it still made him uneasy.
But this! This was incredible!
Jack burst out into a massive grin.
Jack: "Congradulations, V-Man! I knew you'd find her someday! Aw, man! You gotta invite me to the wedding!"
Vlad snorted, mumbling to himself.
Vlad: "Yes, as father of the bride..."
Jack: "What was that?"
Vlad: "Nothing!"
The sound of a phone went off. Vlad pulled his cell from the pocket of his brown, fur-lined winter coat (a Christmas gift from his Angel that she made just for him) & the way his eyes lit up, Jack just knew it was Vladdy's girl.
He leaned over to try & catch the name displayed on the screen, but all he saw was the word, 'Kitten.'
Something about that name made something in the back of Jack's mind niggle. Like he'd heard Vlad refer to someone with that nickname before but couldn't quite remember who, like an itch he couldn't scratch. For whatever reason, it made something twist sickeningly in his stomach & his temper rise instinctively... but he brushed it off figuring it was nothing!
Vlad: "It's her!"
Jack watched with a grin as his old friend chatted to the person on the other side of the phone animatedly with a soft, but invested smile on his face.
He sprinkled 'my Dear's throughout the conversation with her, alongside the expected 'Kitten,' but never a name. Jack almost began to suspect that her name really was 'Kitten' or 'Kitty' or something. Probably short for Kaitline. He's certainly heard worse names!
Like 'Danny,' he'd never liked the name 'Danny' or 'Daniel' or even the slightly cooler 'Dan,' but it'd been Maddie's turn to name a kid, so...
Where was he going with this?
Vlad put his phone away, dropping his cigarette on the ground & stomping on it, scraping his sole over the stub to put it out.
Vlad: "She has some sort of news & wants to meet me soon, so I'm off. Try not to burn down the city & kill everyone in it trying to capture some ghost while I'm gone, alright?"
Jack: "I make no promises!"
He bellowed proudly, as if in triumph.
Vlad: "I didn't expect you to."
The large man watched as his best friend rushed off to meet this mystery girl.
Jack: "Yeah, he's got it bad."
---
He met Dina out behind the Nasty Burger. It was still snowing.
His Darling appeared to be nervous, so whatever it was that she had to tell him, it must've been important.
Vlad became worried that she wanted to brake off their deal.
Vlad: "H-hello, Diana Dear."
Dina: "Hey, Vlad..."
There was a slightly awkward pause between them for a moment.
Vlad: "There was... something you wished to inform me of?"
Dina started before nodding.
Dina: "Yes, I... I-it's really important..."
Dina: "I... Well, I'm... I'm... pregnant."
Vlad froze, excitement bubbling in his stomach. Before he could stop himself, a wide grin broke out on his face as he surged forward, grabbing her by the waist & lifting her into the air to twirl her around in an uncharacteristic display of glee as he buried his face in her clothes.
Dina: "Alright, that's enough, Hotshot. I'm getting dizzy."
Snapping out of it, Vlad's face lit up red as he stopped & set her down gently.
He stepped back, glancing away as he cleared his throat into his balled fist.
Vlad: "My apologies, my dear. I don't know what came over me..."
Something occurred to him & he looked back at her curiously.
Vlad: "Wait, already? But how? You said you were on the pill."
Dina: "Contraceptives aren't 100% & the condom broke a bunch of times."
Elation lit up his face again, but he turned away to hide it. "I suppose that makes sense..."
Vlad: "How long have you known?"
Dina: "2 & a half months..."
Vlad: "2 & a half months?! Why didn't you tell me??"
Dina: "I wanted to make sure that my college was all taken care of first. I didn't know how you'd react..."
Vlad went silent for a minute, processing everything & thinking things over. It was a fair precaution, he supposed. He could be a bit erratic at times. He'd just gotten done buying a house in Chicago for them to live in together when she went off to college so he wouldn't have to be apart from her, after all. Though he felt that he should be allowed to shower the mother of his child with expensive gifts, he could understand her reluctance. She'd always been modest in public.
'Not so much in private, though...' he thought with a smirk.
Vlad: "I, well... This is... It's fantastic news!"
A sudden burst of giddiness rushed through him, causing him to cover his mouth as he laughed happily.
That's when it came to him in a wave of spontaneous joy. "I have a proposal, Kitten. Let's expand on our deal: marry me."
Dina started. "What??"
Vlad reiterated seriously. "Marry me... our child will need a mother & studies show that children who have both parents in their lives & are living together have greater stability & are more healthy mentally, socially, & psychologically. I want the best for my child."
He stepped closer, taking her bare hands (the perks of having a cold core, he supposed) in his own gloved ones & pulling them close to his chest. His next 2 words emphasized with importance.
Vlad: "Our child."
He knelt down in front of her. Expression imploring.
Vlad: "Just marry me & be the mother to my children. Please, Darling."
It's the first time he'd ever called her that aloud. With one hand, he made the navy turtleneck covering his chest invisible & rubbed away the concealer he wore to reveal his mark. The one that matched hers perfectly.
Vlad: "Please, I want to give this a shot. A real one."
Dina was stunned speechless looking at the mark. Silently, she reached to touch it, initially thinking it was another scheme, but the way it flared with light at the contact & the iridescent quality to it said otherwise.
"I..." She covered her mouth, trying to process everything. Swallowing, "G-give me some time to think..."
Vlad seemed saddened by this, but just nodded. "Of course. However long you need..."
---
It took a lot of thinking & waffling, but a few days later, she had her decision. They met back up at the same place as before.
Dina: "I can't promise that I'll marry you..."
Vlad's heart fell at the declaration.
Dina: "But... I'm willing to give it a shot..."
His face lit up, but the teen silenced him. "And... it has to be treated like a real relationship." About this, she was firm & determined. "You know as well as I do that soulmate relationships are just as much relationships as any other. They take work, sometimes even more work than regular ones. I need you to put as much effort into this as I will."
At this, Vlad nodded enthusiastically, his smile wide & bright. "Yes! Of course, Dearest!"
They paused awkwardly for a moment.
Dina: "Sooo... when do you want our first real date to be?"
Vlad started, realizing something.
Vlad: "Dates! Oh dear, we can't!"
Frustrated & suspicious, Dina frowned, crossing her arms.
Dina: "Why not?"
Realizing what she thought, he corrected himself.
Vlad: "I'm sorry, Darling. It's not that I don't want to so much as, if we do as is, it'll gain a lot of attention. People will see, then it'll get to the media & I'm not sure you want your parents to figure out you're dating their college classmate & pregnant with his child like that."
Dina sighed, conceeding his point.
Vlad: "Unless... Well, I have this power that I don't really use because I never thought it was as useful as it could be, but... In this situation, it could be exactly what we need to maintain discretion."
Dina: "Why is this the first time I'm hearing of this?"
Vlad: "Well, like I said, I never saw it as very useful because it couldn't do what I wanted it to."
Dina: "What exactly is it anyway?"
Vlad: "I call it 'Colorswap.' It does exactly what the name entails & allows me to adjust my body's overall coloring. It's sort of a subcategory of true shapeshifting, which was more what I'd wanted because of it's usefulness in corporate espionage."
Dina: "The Superman Effect! The people here are practically face-blind! They can't even tell that Phantom is Fenton!"
The billionaire grinned when his Darling caught on.
Vlad: "Exactly, my brilliant Darling! However, I haven't used it in years & even back then, I didn't train it enough to be very viable. I could only keep it active for a few minutes & only once a week. I'll need to get back to training it if we want to do this."
After they'd finished talking about their next step, Vlad took her face into his hands & lowered his head to press a kiss to her sweet lips. It sent static sparking through his veins. He couldn't help smiling against her lips & humming his delight into her mouth. He didn't even notice that they were both purring.
Pulling away, they said goodbye & parted, unaware of their audience.
Vlad couldn't remember the last time he was this happy! His heart fluttered & core hummed as he used all his self-control to refrain from skipping through the February snow.

Yan-Mom Wonder Woman vs Yan-Dad Superman w/ Biological Child
Tumblr media
SUBTITLE: "YOU DIDN'T WANT THEM."
Note: [Reader] is around 15 years old upon meeting Superman & Wonder Woman since they abandoned them.
[Reader] was the result of a night that involved a lot of alcohol & a lot of libidos between the Heiress of the Amazons & the Man of Steel.
When Diana told Clark that she was pregnant, he was stunned but at the same time made it clear he didn't want a child - he wasn't ready and the night he had with Diana was nothing but a drunken mistake & that's what that child would be - a mistake.
A product of lust considering his heart belonged to Lois and Lois alone.
Diana agreed that she would not feel any motherly love to a child m conceived from lust but refused to kill it so she told him she would carry the child to term and give it up for adoption - wiping her hands clean of them.
The agreement was made.
Diana carried the child to term and gave birth on Themyscira - this didn't sit well with her mother, as she told Diana she would be robbing her of a grandchild and the Amazon of any heir. Artemis told her that she would grow to regret this decision in the future but Diana didn't listen to them and gave the child to Bruce to find a good home for it.
15 years had passed since Diana gave birth and every once in a while, she would think back to the infant she gave up but more this year than usual - she wasn't sure why but she found herself asking Bruce about the child but he never told her anything.
It wasn't until the League had a run-in with a group of villains did Diana and Clark really feel the regret.
The Red Lantern Core had attacked and the League was in a tight spot. Clark and Diana tried to handle Atrocitus but when tossed a large truck - they managed the dodge it but it was heading for a group of humans, no one was there in time to catch it.
Until a blur dashed in front of the truck and stopped it before it was lifted - Diana and Clark looked wide-eyed at the figure that held the truck in their hands.
A teenager - around 15 years old - with black hair and blue eyes, tan skin; just like the infant they gave away.
"Sorry...think you dropped this!" The teen said before throwing the truck at Atrocitus - sending the leader of the Red Lanterns flying back.
The Teen took flight as the other Red Lanterns tried to swarm but them the league watched as the unknown teen beat them all down with super strength, speed, and laser vision; sending them all to the ground.
When Atrocitus stood and saw his Red Lanterns down, he glared at the teen, who floated down to him with glowing red eyes.
"Leave this place, now." The Teen ordered.
The Leader of the Red Lanterns said nothing as he and his Lanterns retreated through the red portal.
The teen was about to leave when they were stopped by the Man of Steel who began asking them questions, but the Teen saw no reason to speak to a stranger - even the man of steel and turned on their heel to walk away from the League.
Upon returning the to base: Superman and Diana were grilling into Bruce about [Reader] and Bruce admitted that after Diana gave him her newborn, he found a friend of his that wanted a child but couldn't conceive so he gave [Reader] to them with all the proper paperwork and information about the powers what would manifest in the later years.
It turned out that [Reader] honed their power in secret for years before coming to the city - as they didn't want to be a danger to the people of the city. [Reader] doesn't know anything about their link to Diana or Clark, as far as [Reader] is considered, they are just a common Meta-Human.
"They are not a comm Meta-Human, Bruce. They are the Heir to Themyscira and I want them back. Go to [Reader] Guardian and tell them that [Reader] will be living with their biological mother." Diana demanded the Dark Knight.
"Hold it! What makes you think you're getting them, Diana? They are Half Kryptonian and we stick together. I am [Reader]'s Father and it would be best if my child wasn't burdened with Heirship of the Amazons." Clark said.
"You dare call [Reader] your child when you told me - to my face -that you wanted nothing more than to with the offspring of a drunken night? You called them an accident, a product of lust, a mistake." Diana glared into Clark's eyes.
"Don't you dare go there, Diana; you said that you agreed with me and gave our child to Bruce to find a home for them. The times are different now and my child is going to live with me so I can tell them to be a proper Kryptonian." Clark said.
"Like Hades, you are. [Reader] is the Heir of Themyscira and there's no way I'm gonna let you take my child away from me. I make the mistake of letting them go...not this time, Clark." Diana glared into his eyes.
The two parents glared at each other with anger in their eyes, all while Bruce made plans in his head to warm [Reader] and their guardian about the Amazon Princess and Man of Steel.

In Time. (Levi Ackerman/Attack on Titan Fan Fiction)
Chatper 7: History Made.
Mikasa and Diana stood on a rooftop, watching as the other soldiers tried to draw the Titans away from Eren. It didn't seem to be working. Diana watched as the Titans ignored the soldiers, not even taking a swipe at them. It seemed like the Titans weren't interested in the soldiers; they were coming for Eren.
"Mikasa, Diana!" Armin landed on Eren's shoulder, looking up at the two girls. Both looked down at Eren and Armin. His face dripped with worry; his tone matched as he spoke again. "Why'd the plan go belly up?"
"Armin?" Mikasa called back, a frown on her face, confused that he was there.
"Why on Earth is he slumped here like this?" Armin yelled back, now frowning, too. Diana's face was filled with worry; she was scared Eren would attack again.
"Armin, get away! It's dangerous!" Her tone was worried, but she tried to remain calm.
"Something went wrong. He lost control and wound up like that. I tried to snap him out of it, but I couldn't get him to respond!" Mikasa explained.
"He's been out like that for the past few minutes!" Diana added, glancing at Eren; she was beginning to lose hope in the plan, though she felt determination brewing inside her.
"But the plan?"
"We've had to change tac. Right now, all we can do is protect him; he's defenceless," Mikasa continued. Diana's eyes began to dart around, seeing more Titans closing in on Eren. Her heart began to pound, the anxiety bubbling inside her.
"There's just so many, and I don't know how much longer we can keep this up!" She called down to Armin, and he turned back to Eren, pulling out his blades as he did so.
"Armin!" Mikasa called, her voice suddenly filled with fear.
"I'm pulling him out of there; you two, just hold off the Titans as long as you can!" Armin yelled back, turning to the two again.
"But..." Mikasa's voice trailed as Armin continued.
"When Eren first emerged from this for, it was from the weak spot, I don't know, but something tells me that's a big part of the picture, how these damn things work!" Armin explained, anchoring himself into Eren's titan using his ODM gear. "It'll be alright as long as I don't hit the centre." He added, raising his blade. He quickly brought the blade down, causing Mikasa to scream out as the blade penetrated the titan. Eren's titan let out a blood-curdling scream and began writhing uncontrollably. Diana's feet moved before his mind could comprehend the movement, stepping forward, ready to save Armin.
"Stop it, you'll get yourself killed!" She screamed.
"I'm fine; just do what you can to keep the rest at bay!" Armin reassured. Trust me, there are tonnes of other people you should be worried about. Now leave Eren to me and do what you both do best!"
The two nodded before leaving; Mikasa ran off to help Mitabi's team, whilst Diana went to help Ian's.  Diana flew through the air, killing as many titans as possible as if it were second nature to her. She spun through the air, taking down every titan that crossed her eye line, but to no avail, more kept flooding in. She landed on a roof near the gate, watching as titans poured into Trost, killing her comrades around her. With a low growl, Diana took off again, flying weightlessly through the air again, dragging her blades through every nape that swarmed her path. She sliced the Achilles tendon like butter for the taller ones before re-engaging her ODM gear to pounce for the nape. She landed back on the rooftop with a final kill, looking down at the slain titans beneath her. Eight, she counted, but still, there were too many. Diana let out a low breath, trying to calm herself and regain her breath, preparing herself to fight again. She went to take off again but was interrupted by the screech of a titan, not any titan, Eren's. The rooftops vibrated with each pound of heavy footsteps. This caused Diana's head to whip around, her eyes now following Eren's Titan as he marched along the street, the boulder hoisted on his shoulder. Diana zipped over to Mikasa and Ian as fast as she could, landing next to them on the rooftop. Her eyes widened at the sight of the dozen titans still spilling through the gate.
"Mikasa, Diana!" Armin's voice called, causing the two to look in his direction. Armin landed next to them and continued to speak. "He came out of it somehow; we're set! He's determined to see the mission through to the end; as long as we've got his back while he heads to the wall, victory will be ours!" Armin yelled.
"Defend him!" Ian's voice rang through the air. "To the last man if that's what it takes! Eren must reach the gate!" He commanded. "I don't want a single titan anywhere near him!" The three friends watched soldiers converge on the Titans, zipping through the air and taking them out. "The three of you go! I want you with Eren immediately!" Ian then ordered the friends. "Hop to it, soldiers, that's an order!"
"Sir, yes, sir!" Before they could set off, their attention was brought to team Mitabi who were on the ground, Armin made a few comments as did the other soldiers with us. Diana hardly paid attention to them. However, she was more focused on Eren. Without taking her eyes off him, she changed blades before getting ready to fight.
"Come on, we need to go!" Mikasa spoke,  Armin and Diana nodded, before the three jumped off the rooftop and headed for Eren. They made their way to the gate on foot, with Diana helping to take out a few of the titans on the way, unfortunately, many of her other comrades were not so lucky. Many of them were getting taken out by the incoming titans, Eren's steps continued to thunder behind the three, they'd almost reach the gate, but they still had one titan blocking their path.
"There's still one ahead of us!" Armin yelled out.
"I'll take care of it-"
"Out of the way!" Rico bellowed, cutting Diana off as she swooped in and took out the titan's eye. The titan let out a roar before swinging its arm down, Diana managed to quickly jump over its hand before sliding behind it firing her ODM gear into its nape, lurching forward she dragged her blades through its flesh letting out a scream as she did so. In one swift move, she removed her blades and jumped off the titan, landing next to Armin. Eren had almost reached the gate; the three looked on at him in anticipation.
"Go!" Arming screamed, earning a screech from Eren as he slammed the boulder down on the breach. All of the soldiers stared on in disbelief. He did it, despite the setbacks. Diana stumbled back to her feet. Disbelief rested on her face. Relief quickly kicked in, bringing down a wave of lethargy onto her.
Bang!
Diana's eyes turned to see Rico had fired off a yellow flare to signal that the mission was a success. A wave of doubt clouded Diana's mind, however, as her mind raced with the possibility that the higher-ups would terminate Eren despite his efforts. Her eyes turned back to Eren as she shook the dark thoughts from her mind. Her main focus was getting the three of them out of there alive.
"Let's grab Eren; we have to retreat!" Diana called out to Mikasa and Armin.
"Mind the stragglers, Ackerman, Lando pull back!" Rico retorted, clearly not bothered if they retrieved Eren.
"With all due respect, I'm not withdrawing until we recover Eren!" Mikasa spoke before herself and Diana took off towards Eren's titan, following Armin.
"Armin, how is he?" Diana yelled, seeing Armin struggling to pull Eren from the titan carcass.
"Unconscious and scorching to the touch!" Armin called back. "We have to get him up the wall!" Mikasa and Diana jumped up to where Armin was, followed by Rico. "Damnit, he's fused to the carcass; I can't work him free." Armin groaned, desperately trying to pull Eren out.
"Then we cut!" Rico spoke, pulling out her blade.
"Wait, we don't know what that might do-" Rico cut Mikasa off by swiftly cutting her blade through the tissue holding Eren to the titan. Armin groaned at the sudden relief, falling to the floor as he did. Diana's head turned, focusing on the two large titans surrounding the small group; she whipped out her blades and prepared to fight again. Diana went to jump, but before she'd barely placed a step, a figure flew through the air, taking out the two Titans within a second. With a confused look, Diana dropped down to Eren and Armin to ensure they were okay before looking up at the soldier responsible. It was Captain Levi. Diana's eyes widened when she recognised him, even though his back was to her.
"Mikasa?" Armin asked as she dropped next to them.
"Who is that?" Mikasa asked.
"Wings of Freedom." Eren managed to choke out, Diana's eyes lingered on the emblem on the soldier's jacket before she finally pulled her eyes away from the soldier, and back down to Eren. She crouched down, placing her hand on his head and examining his face to ensure he was okay. She stood back up, opening her breast pocket and whipping out a cigarette. She then grabbed a match, and her eyes rested on the soldier as they waited for him to speak. Crouching down, she flicked the match against the floor, ignited it, and then brought it to her mouth, inhaling as the flame lit the end.
"Pay attention, kiddos." Levi finally spoke, his previous silence due to not really knowing what the hell this sight was before him. His eyes landed on Diana as he continued. "This is the part where you explain to me exactly what I'm looking at." He finished, his gruff voice sounding almost irritated. Diana's eyes connected with his as she pulled her cigarette from between her lips. Exhaling the smoke, she stepped forward.
"Well, first of all, I'm not a 'kiddo'." Diana made air quotes as she spoke, causing Levi to roll his eyes. "Secondly, you're asking the wrong people to explain this." She continued, gesturing to the absolute mess around the group. "All I can say is that Eren turned into a titan and plugged up the wall with a giant boulder before turning back into a human... Kind of." Her explanation was sloppy; to be honest,  I have no clue if what I said made any sense. Diana scratched the back of her head with her free hand and turned back to Armin and Mikasa with a confused look.
"Are you Lando?" Levi's voice pulled her gaze back in his direction; she raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, sir." She confirmed, bringing her cigarette to her lips again.
"You're with me; the rest of you retreat to the wall, and we'll cover you." Levi finished. Diana's eyes widened, as she exhaled.
"Sorry, sir, but why am I not retreating, too? " she asked, dashing her cigarette out on the floor, her eyes meeting Levi's once more.
"Well, you've killed more than eight titans, and there's still plenty more to get through. You can help the garrison and special operations squad keep the rest at bay whilst your friends get back over the wall." He explained, sounding unimpressed, pulling his eyes away from Diana's.
"I still don't-"
"Hop to it, cadet, that's an order!" Levi commanded before taking off. Confused, Diana turned back to her friend, and all shared the same look she did. Diana shrugged.
"I'll see you over there, I guess."
