Reaper x Reader (gen)

“Do you have any questions?” 

“No.” 

“Good, get out of here.” 

And so you left, the door closing behind you before you walked down to your assigned room, gathering your belongings and heading out to meet the rest of the crew. Gun loaded and holstered, safety on, ready for what lies ahead. Your mission was to attempt to stop Talons attacks, use whatever force necessary, take no casualties. Be careful, stealthy, use what skills you had to knock the target down, get inside, get the information needed, get out and head back to Overwatch.

With your colleagues by your side, skilled soldiers in many different ways, it was a mission sure to succeed. All you needed to do was be a distraction, not cause one, but be one. A request from above for someone down below. 

A man with power and strength to match, dressed dark as the night, one the others called “Reaper” was the man you were solely targeting . 

“Have your way with him. Do what you need to, just buy enough time for the others to get in and out.” Was what your commander said. He knew of your skills, your ability to seduce and kill, squeeze out the information needed. Nobody dared to question it, in fact they admired your ways. It produced results and no one complained. 

“We will let you know when we’re inside and when we’ve left.” One solider spoke to you, eyes locking with your own. 

“You worried about me?” Behind your visor, you smirk. 

“Am I ever?” He chuckles, leaning forward in his seat, the dropship jerking around. “Be careful, yeah?” There was a sincerity in his voice, eyes not leaving yours. “Rumour has it that he doesn’t hesitate to kill, especially when threatened.” 

“S’pose thats more fun than someone who just takes it.” You shrug, feeling somewhat comforted at his concern. “Thanks, though. I’ll be alright. I’ll contact you if I need help.” 

“That’s what I like to hear.”

You nod, leaning back in your seat and waiting for the dropship to land. Small conversations broke through the silence, everyone chiming in but you. All you were doing was thinking of what you were planning on doing to this “Reaper” guy. 

Eventually, the wait was over, the dropship landed not far from your destination, everyone filing out and heading into the city, one building in mind as you were led forward. The night was rolling in, deep oranges and reds slowly fading to a deep blue and then black. Stars littered the sky, small clouds dotted around with the moon behind one of them. The city was quiet, eerily quiet as the troops marched forward, surrounding one building in particular. 

There was no warning as the leader in charge of the group shouted to go forward, the door coming off its hinges and troops piling in, guns raised and shouting. 

You, however, had long since left the group, only muffled noises coming from your earpiece were your guidance as to how things were going as you leant against the table, a grin from ear to ear plastered on your face at the man in front of you. 

“I really didn’t think it would be that easy.” There was an amusement in your tone, eyes sparkling mischievously from the monitors around the room. 

“You’re good.” The man speaks out, voice low and rough as if he had been fighting a cold for a few days. He struggled against the restraints that you had bound him in, tight enough that he wouldn’t be able to free himself, but loose enough to not cut off any circulation. The sight before you was divine, wrists tied to the arm rests of the chair, ankles to the legs of it, something you had only gotten quick at doing with each victim.

“Thank you. Receiving a compliment from the guy I was order to toy with is quite endearing.” 

“Oh?” His masked head tilts to the side. “And who sent you? Don’t tell me it was that asshole, Jack.” 

“Who sent me doesn’t concern you.” You narrow your eyes at him, unable to look away. “Besides, I have my orders.” 

“As does everyone else.” There was a hint of malice in his voice, head moving ever so slightly at the monitor behind you. “You don’t think they’ll get out of there unharmed, do you?” 

Your eyes only narrow more as you stand up straight, walking towards him. “They are capable, much like I am.” Your hand gently traces over his arm as you walk beside him before resting both of them on his shoulders as you press your body into his back. “You just haven’t realised it yet.” Leaning down, head beside his, you smile, voice quiet as you look at the screen with him. “You’re not as scary as the rumours make you out to believe.” 

This gained a scoff from the bound man, head moving away from yours before a hand pushed him back facing forward. 

“Keep watching.” Your hand never left the side of his face, fingers brushing over the cold mask he wore. Behind it, you could feel a warmth emanating from it. Your charm was working. “You have information we want, and this could all be over if you just tell me what I need to know.” 

“You’d have to try a lot harder than that.” 

“I wouldn’t test me, Reaper.” The playfulness in your voice broke through and you swore you could feel that heat from his face rise. “If you won’t tell me, they’ll just tear the place apart… Leave no casualties.”

“It would be wise for you to call them back.” His heartbeat rose slightly, head unmoving as he watched the screen. 

“I have no control over them.” You pause, leaning in closer to him, a breathy whisper towards his ear. “Only you.” 

His breath got caught in his throat as he tensed, hands curling into fists. 

“You are stuck here with me.” The sultry tone in your voice sent a cold shiver over his back and a hot flush to his cheeks, and you noticed it, grinning once more. “Oh, don’t be scared, I won’t do anything to you that you won’t like… It’s such a shame you’re the bad guy.”

Reaper scoffed again, shaking your hand from his face and then watching you walk back around him and then leaning down in front of him. He saw the playful look in your eyes and part of him wanted you to do something to him. His eyes connected with yours but he knew you wouldn’t see it. 

“We’ll have so much fun, don’t you think?” Your fingers dragged along his chest, feeling the tension behind the clothing, the rise in heartbeat only fueling your charade more. The smug smile on your face only grew with each passing second, and the further you moved your hands down, the more tense he would become, his breathing subtly picking up pace.

“Time’s up, kid. We’re leaving.” Your leaders voice broke through the earpiece. 

Your hands stopped moving, resting on his hips. You sigh, looking up at the man before you. “Playtime’s already over… How disappointing…” 

He heard the cockiness in your voice as his breathing slowly quietened down. Disappointing indeed, he thought. 

“Perhaps we’ll run into each other again…” Removing your hands, you stand back up straight to confirm with your leader that you’d be outside momentarily. “Well, Reaper, it surely has been fun.” You move around him, standing at his side before leaning down, caressing the side of his mask with your hand and tilting his head up slightly. “Maybe another time, yeah?” The mischievous glint never left your eyes as you leant down and planted a kiss to his mask, right where his lips would otherwise be.

Reaper seemed taken aback by the motion, but it wasn’t unwelcome. He craved more but he knew that wasn’t happening right now. 

“You will be hunted.” He snarled, a desperation in his voice. 

You smile at him, tapping his cheek gently before you walk to the door and turn back to face him. “I look forward to it.” You wink at him, noticing his hands twitch against the chair which causes your grin to widen. 

“I will make you pay.” Reaper tensed his fist again, wanting nothing more than to see you writhe underneath him. 

“Try me.” 

You could barely hear the expletives he yelled from behind the door as you walked away, the smug smile never fading as you regrouped with your team. They got what they needed, and you had gotten such a rile out of your captee that something inside of you burned. Oh how you were looking forward to the next meeting with Reaper…

Something people didn’t catch was that in this animation, which is supposed to take place around the time Eddie moved into the neighborhood, he had his mail hat! But, currently, he doesn’t! That’s not because he lost it, Howdy actually stole it! Howdy immediately attempted to scam Eddie when he first arrived, stealing his hat and trying to sell it back to him, but he did not know that Eddie would not give a fuck. Howdy thought Eddie cared way more about his job then he actually does. So, Eddie’s hat is still currently decaying under Howdy’s desk.

All the characters have trauma or something depressing about them… except Julie! I’m not sure why but I just.. never came up with something reasonable for her backstory. I came up with a lot of ideas, but a lot of them seemed to cliche and controversial? Like, one of my ideas was some sort of sex working trauma, but I thought oooh of course you gave the most feminine character the sex working backstory! Another idea was eating disorder trauma, but again, ooh i gave the fem one the ED! The same thing happened with SA trauma, it all just felt so… cliche. And I felt like I would get a lot of backlash if I tried to implement this. So.. im still working on it!

^ originally Franks backstory was going to be completely SA related, but I changed that. Still not spoiling how, though.

^^ also I really liked the sex working idea! Because I think it would be interesting if thats how Eddie and her met. Not that Eddie bought sex from her, but that they like worked together and slowly became friends! Eddie kept her safe n stuff, beat the shit out of ppl that didnt pay yknow? Explored a deeper level of understanding between them

Ive been daydreaming about attempting to make my own little bootleg “play fellow exhibition” not nearly to the extent that Clown did, but just some sort of fake “restored” things! Maybe even fake interviews with those that remember the show! Ive even recorded some lines, of my own voice, of fake voice clips restored from the show. I haven’t had the confidence to post any of them just yet aa. I think my Eddie impression is IMPECCABLE though. Maybe bc I have a southern accent

I like to think that the AU’s show is like Rick and Morty. It started out this comedic, very clearly adult-humored show, but slowly the characters had lore! People started watching not for the humor but for the interesting characters. Like when Rick was revealed to have a depressing story with his wife and all that, it was the same as when ppl first found out about Frank’s strange amnesia and PTSD. Like “?? Who put lore in my funny adult comedy??” Yknow what i mean

^ i like to think there was some mind-bending moment where it was revealed Frank doesnt remember anything about his childhood and everyone watching was like :O

Originally in the show, (like season one), the characters were the way they are to make fun of those things. Confusing, but what i mean is that Poppy was a trans woman to make fun of trans people, Eddie and Frank were to make jokes about gay ppl, etc. but SIKE once the show got more seasons and got lift off they became actual characters instead of just jokes! The creators just wanted to make ppl love the show before they made the gay characters actually have personalities, so they couldn’t get cancelled prematurely! HA SUCKERS!!

probably that i’m not really good at creating a storyline/plot djskks that’s something that does Not come easily to me and probably one of the only reasons i havent really finished any of my big fics or even their first chapters. yeah my bad, honestly forgot that he was half asian (I have not interacted w the show or fandom in a while, so thats on me tbh), but I definitely agree with your input. I know that Callum is the main character, so he’s going to get more love and attention, same as Rayla, especially since Rayllum is the main couple (not dissing on them or the ship ofc) but it really upsets me when I look for art/fics of Ezran he’s either A) with Callum or B) in the background of something Rayllum related and in fics i rarely ever see solo fics of just him, he’s either in the background of rayllum or being their therapist or something like that

TDP has done a good job when it comes to portraying their characters of color, and its nice to see POC in positions of power for once (Harrow, Ez, Janai, Anaya, Kasef, etc), I just wish that the fandom as a whole would do the same thing yknow?

Omg you're all good! That's actually why I've run two Ezran Appreciation Weeks (although I still need to finish my fics for the second one, but life got unexpectedly super busy) and why I use the tag Ezran centric for fics that well, focus primarily on him and his relationships, rather than him being in a supportive or background role. I still wanna write a fic about him and Janai (maybe I can work it into a speculative S5 piece, since it seems like maybe we'll get to see them on screen together, and they had a Lot of parallels in S4).

But yeah there are definitely people in the fandom who aren't open to critique in how they treat Ezran. I once pointed out that hey, most of the time when his character is incorrectly tagged in a post, it's almost always in relation to his brother. Did not go over well, but I don't really care. It was still worth saying (and hopefully people will think a bit more thoughtfully about it too).

We could definitely all do more; I do my best to put dents in it when I can, but with varying degrees of success I'm sure

He thought for a while, after he learned about it, that he was his parent’s replacement for his sister, so his parents often reassure him that they love home for being him, and that he’ll always be their liam. Revylin- it/any sylvari, cycle of dusk,mesmer. Just call it Revyl! My current main im using to relearn the game! Got converted to the nightmare court as a sapling for its higher than usual magical aptitude, had an Awful Time and was rescued by the Wardens before it could become a knight. Now travels around tyria pursuing a wyld hunt he cant remember (itll be fine!! itll come back to him itll be fiiiiiine) working as a dancer/storyteller before getting tangled up in the Plot

Irysel- she/they sylvari elementalist. max level commander from my original 2019 playthrough! idk if i’ll ever play her again but i remember having such a blast with elementalist i’ll probably try her again eventually

Rika Sunstalker- he/they ash legion charr thief. old dnd character made gw character! the campaign he was in stopped so now he only exists here! a gladium, formerly rika sunblaze, who got his warband killed?? Somehow??? and took the stalker name/joins a pirate crew of other disgraced charr to travel and see the world (still working his details out adldjd)

Travels around tyria working up the ranks of the vigil, trying very very Vewy hard to fuffil a wyld hunt she cant remember (all he knows is that it Must be tied to revyl. thats why she feels that way whenever revyl looks at her, right?)

I think the way I feel towards them and their boyfriends, is how they may as well. I will always hold a soft spot for their boys for as long as they care and love them. I trust that they're smart enough to choose good people, which means that even if I wasn't on good terms with them, I'd still believe they're a good person. Maybe that's how they approach it... Or they just like you because they can see your sincerity and can easily see how amazing you are... To say you're not worthy of something like this is ridiculous...

I understand it can be surprising to see them act this way and you're reasonable for not expecting them to fully accept you, in fact maybe we'll find that they won't mind you in the family but would prefer if you don't do dad duties (not that it's necessarily the case, just an example). One thing that will always haunt me is the evil leafy fanfics I wrote in 2018/2019. Probably majority of my online friends followed me because of a fancomic I made in 2018-2019 that was basically evil leafy slasher thing. I didn’t even draw evil leafy correctly. My art was. Well, it was bad. But I’ve NEVER been tagged in as much posts as I did when I made that comic. People drew fanart for it.. People barely ever draw me anything anymore 😅 besides like close friends occasionally. However I don’t really draw much for others either so who am I to complain?

But that comic is not really growing at all. Nobody is learning if it’s existence anymore tbh. But yknow what is??!?!?!? My evil leafy fanfic from 2019. I remember when I first was posting it it was like super high up on the bfdi tag on Wattpad, I’m pretty sure it got in the top ten at some point.. maybe even to number one but I don’t really remember, that was ages ago. Currently it’s in the top 200s.

I haven’t updated it since uhm. 2020 I think? Maybe 2019? Every few weeks I’ll get back into Wattpad and there always seems to be more notifications for it. And like yeah I’m glad people like it but like. There are so many things I’m putting effort into NOW that barely get an ounce of the recognition my poorly written evil leafy fanfics got/get.

It’s just so odd. They aren’t like super duper ultra popular, but compared to most of my other stuff… they are?

And like sometimes I’ll mention it and people will be like “THATS YOU?!” But overall I’m not sure how much of the osc actually knows they exist lmao.

And it’s not that I don’t like the attention. Man. I love attention and I love compliments. It’s just that I feel like I peaked art-wise with my poorly-made evil leafy fanfics from 2018-2020……….. which like. Okay. But currently my main passion is with my object OCs… and it’s obvious people aren’t as thrilled with those as they are with my fan content 😞 which I understand. I just don’t really know how to get peoples attention and love without making fan content… like I wanna do what makes ME happy (drawing OCs ) but it’s so lonely sometimes. I’m alright.

whenever i draw fanarts, the biggest satisfaction to me is when i was able to draw...an idea that is unique to the source material, something that i cant just simply recycle to ocs or any other fandoms, and especially, something fans of the source material can appreciate the most... its also something i knew i cant achieve with ocs. because at least with fanarts, at least someone get the context behind the art. i couldnt care less if im not drawing for a bigger or more popular fandom if i was able to share my love for something like this to the same people who love the source material as much as i do... im fully aware that my artstyle is not the most desirable. or the most social media-favored. or just anything thats worth being stared at anything for more than 5 minutes, haha. thats why i rarely post my doodles or rarely draw headshots because...i often find to look the most boring... but thats also why i really. tried really hard to get rid of my shortcomings by focusing more on the composition and "story" side of it over anything else. i tried. again. really hard to put my style in the backburner so the flaws of my unappealing style wont overshadow the "story" i wanted to tell in my art....

but yknow i just...feel like lately its all pointless hahaa...

so just when my mimi fanarts gets the most attention solely because it has mimi on it and not because of the art that i drew...im starting to ask...whats the point anymore if i even spend any extra time beyond just drawing the character. i might as well just draw the most soulless headshot or even stickman of the character and i'd guarantee it'll still get as much attention only because of the subject i drew. and the last important thing being...my art.... and this isnt just limited to one character or fandom, haha. every time any more replies to any of my art starts focusing on the subject over anything i put in the art, i knew that i failed to deliver the "story" i wanted to tell. at that point its starting to feel like...my art is nothing more than an accessory to a conversation starter. haha. i get it. my art isnt all that appealing. and my composition is still extremely amateur. but i guess no matter how much love and soul i tried to put in my art, it still doesnt matter if the subject is not creating any interesting conversation...

and its lately more and more apparent when i start to draw more oc artworks and obviously? theres less things to talk about now since theres 0 prior attachments existing with my ocs! :')

you could say that its mainly because im drawing for a small fandom. you could say its because i drew for a fandom where 90% of its contents is untranslated. but i just cant help but think...its simply because im still not good enough.....

i cant translate. im not fluent in any languages that isnt my mother tongue. im not the most talkative and hardly ever fit in any friend group. and every skills i have any inch of knowledge of is barely useful to anyone. and i know that i’ll never be remembered for anything. so i just....in the end, when i love something, the last i could do to say that "i love it" is to tell them with my art, despite its shortcomings and imperfections... but i guess thats...still not enough... to prove even that... :')

so just. haha. idk. even right now i kinda...lost all my motivation to draw. every single time i tried to i started to ask "is this even worth it?" and wonder if i shouldnt finish the art and put the bare minimum on it now, even if its gonna be the most soulless thing i've drawn. ultimately, a part of me just felt like i shouldve changed my priorities and focus starting this year. haha.

(and i'll just be real. if someones gonna say "draw for yourself!!! not for others!!!!" i would...rather not just post them at all to solve that. period. saves MUCH more of my time and anxiety if i just stopped posting them!!! :'))

he met jeff when they were both in middle school (they were band kids sorry) and they met eddie later. so gareth’s besties with jeff but they both look up to eddie

he and jeff got into DnD in middle school together, and then when they got to high school they joined hellfire. eddie recruited them into corroded coffin afterward

he’s the kind of close to jeff that makes their classmates think they’re dating.  it’s annoying that others don’t understand you can just have close friends, but they’re always laughing between just the two of them and they’re pretty physically close most of the time and do everything together, it gets taken the wrong way

Your prosthetic always made you somewhat of an outcast. You made your way to the office to get your schedule.

‘God people here have a staring problem..’ you thought to yourself.

You got your schedule and proceeded to class. While walking you ran into someone. He was taller than you, quite handsome to be honest. He has his arm wrapped around a blonde girl.

“Heeyy new kid! Nice mask.” The tall guy complimented you casually.
