i find it really interesting by the way that in the flashback to the both of them being angels, crowley is clearly not really paying aziraphale much mind? like, he just called him over to help him for a second and then talk to him about this thing he was excited for, he doesnt even bother telling him his name, and hell he also comes off as being higher ranked to me somehow, idk. and then aziraphale gives him bad news and makes him all sad and they talk a bit like that, but crowley is like, still not really considering this dude hes talking to, mostly focusing on his own stuff

you know, i talked about it before but i still, for a much more rare totk gameplay complaint-

i still cannot wrap my head around how it went all the way to the finished product to have 5 ghosts that love to glitch around and threaten your frame rate (espeically bad in combat) help in combat, 4 of which are MELEE fighters, AND have their abilities tied to their model forcing you to chase after them constantly if you want to use any of it AND ALSO give them collision so they can get knocked over cancelling their ability if it needs charging (RIJU!!), the one needing a long time to charge being not jsut one of the most useful and fun to use but then making that one also be one of tHE MELEE fighters meaning anytime you manage to catch her and activate it she instantly charges into battle and due to her being rather small and using short swords she basically sticks to the enemy like glue and keeps gettign knocked over, i swear yelling riju was my most spoken word in any type of combat in all my playtime

also how they teleport back and forth in and out of your arm the second you dare to look at a climable surface or are in one thats too small for them (even when you need them the most like yuno in one of those caves stuffed to the brim with destroyable rocks thatd take out all your swords if you did it by hand) or just .. randomly teleporting around but then can still get stuck on environmental collision until you cant even see them anymore (stares at sidon giving me a heart attack in the underground when he got caught on a light root until i was so far away he was barely visible and instead of teleporting he started to sprint at me with inhumane speed when i turned around making me frozen in shokc bc he turned dark in the distance for some reason making me think one of the creepy ghost soldiers was out to murder me, granted that was one of the best moments in the game for me, but also, imagine if they actually did that with one of the creepy ghost soldiers instead of it being a glitch??? another missed opportunity tbh)

how did that never come up during playtesting?? if they really were done somewhere in 2022 and spent the rest of the time with polish like they said how did that never come up?? i loved having the champ- sages around in their dungeons but the ghost version thingy wasnt really that optimal and id rather have their abilities be either integrated into your controls like in botw (tbh i find that really thoguhtful, to have your dead friends abilities they granted you inegrated into your basic controls as dynamically as they did) or in another ability wheel (like i did in my rewrite) with maybe mineru beign the only one you actually need around via summon since you can ride ... her

idk about anyone else but i only had them around bc i liked them walking around with me and was too lazy to constantly de and reactivate them but tbh i think it caused more annoyance to me than it brought anything interesting to it

Hermitcraft Finales

Seeing everyone theorise about the snails and how they think they’ll cause the end of S10 is reminding me of a theory I once had so ✨story time✨.

Once when I was 10 and I was at sailing I saw this kid who used to go to my school (side note: I met so many people coincidentally thatd become my friends in later schools/id seen around my old school and I got to see them in a new way at sailing idk why) and we ended up on the same boat together for a class.

During this class we ended up talking about Hermitcraft, it was my first season watching and his second or third or something like that (this was when S6 had just started) so I was the newbie and he told me that at the end of each season they was some dramatic ending which was why they had to go to a new world.

So we got to theorising; what would it be this time? What clues were laid out? I told him things I’d seen happen in G’s and Stress’s vids and he told me things that happened in other POVs. After a few lessons of choosing to partner up we had a theory:

Grian’s salmon ghost was a symbolic warning of the seasons message. The threat was mirroring climate change in particular the rise of ocean levels which was a big focus in media at the time. We predicted that the server would end due to large flooding and tsunamis caused by all the industrialisation done (there were lots of modern and mega builds that season) and industrialisation/climate change was just a general theme in S6 with Concord VS. Sahara and Sahara news covering topics to do with Concords negative environmental impact.

We were so proud of our theory so ready to see it happen and then… it didn’t. Nothing happened that season in terms of a dramatic ending (that’s not to say it wasn’t my favourite season because it was but there was no ending and we didn’t see each other again to discuss this).

Now this isn’t a message meant to teach you not to theorise, no, theorising is fun!! And I really hope and believe the snails will cause the end of S10 I just wanted to share this story because the similar vibes between S6 and 10 plus the theorising is making me think about it constantly (and my other sailing experiences). Just don’t get too crushed if it doesn’t happen I guess and I hope you enjoyed reading all the random nonsense we theorised about when I was back in S6- or maybe that was just me. We also had other evidence to support our theory but I’ve forgotten most of it.

also, finished my new vegas campaign. Leigh Has Achieved Her Mission or at least the closest approximation of it that the game let me achieve, which of course is the independent ending with a full securitron army and the support of the followers of the apocalypse. the only thing is i Fackin Forgor to deal with the fiends so they caused some problems but well the trouble they caused was to the ncr so i kinda dgaf. also i was surprised some khans showed up to help me at hoover dam! i actually felt kinda bad about it like no no... ive got this... you guys have been thru enough... you shouldnt have to protect the ncr from Anyone even the legion... please oomfies stay safe....

i think some of the remnants died??? idk only cannibal johnson was still with me at the legates camp. did they die?? im so sorry arcade i think theyve died. idk how. they were in power armor shooting gods lightning at enemies. whyd they die but boone didnt. boone was with me the whole time partially because earlier he was helping me with the kimball speech mission (which btw was the most awkward thing ever. love the uncoordinated animations and the crowd of 5 people. the speech that was impossible to understand like wtf is that guy saying. topped off with every npc involved getting locked in combat/fleeing at the end. love it) and i thought hed have fun with this too. well he did and he also had fun picking up rifles off of every legionnaire corpse. why does he do that. i check on him see his carrying capacity looks weird and there he is holding 8 rifles. boy drop it. drop it. now.

anyway. i kind of dont understand what happened with the brotherhood of steel, i think i had confused the game badly. i became besties with them rather early on, i even convinced mcnamara to let me join them (which like. youd think thatd have some curious implications but again, Unfinished Game) but i never talked them into making a truce with the ncr or anything. but for some reason i told mr house i did? like right before i decided i would Not be Trying The Mr House Route after all, a decision i made specifically over his insistence that i eliminate the brotherhood actually. and then yes man also acted like the bos were gonna help the ncr at hoover dam. and mcnamara kept saying he couldnt believe he would be helping the ncr even though again the subject had not once been breached. i was like ok. and then they did not in fact help the ncr. they didnt show up. wtf was that about. lies and treachery. after all i did for you. after i fixed your air conditioning. oh im sorry, was it the robots. did you not like the robots? scared of them?

and not only that, the boomers also didnt show up even though they were supposed to. motherfucker... what did i get you bastards that airplane for... you people were so annoying and unkind and i still helped you. because i thought i could count on you. for everything i did for you. loyal i hope your solar arrays break immediately. that guy who works with loyal idr your name i hope your gf breaks up with you and then you explode. i hope all of you explode. i shouldve known. i shouldve known better.

felt kinda bad throwing general oliver off the dam. it was an impulsive decision and i was like man i shouldnt have done that. i barely knew the guy. kind of a gruesome way to go. sure he pissed me off and was overall a bad person but i shouldnt be doing shit like that. doesnt inspire others' confidence in my Collected Trustworthy Nature. i think.

Scarian Hunger Games AU!

So! In how the books/movies go, Grian would be Katniss in this scenario, living in District 12. The Mockingjay, symbol of the rebellion against the capital in this Hunger Games universe.

He'd be the one to go instead of Pearl (his sister who was chosen but Grian volunteered in her steed), the other pick will be Big B. Going along with the first book/movie: they play up being "Star crossed lovers" like Peeta, Big B is actually in love with Grian.. by the end of it when they are the two alive they stage that suicide deal with the berries until the announcers like "Congratulations, our winners of the 74th Hunger games!" yada yada- causes the uprising

So moving onto the 2nd book/movie, 75th annual HGs- the president(who i think I might make Evil Xisuma) makes it so past winners are the ones who go into this one (cuz ykno gotta kill Grian, the person who made the districts rebel again) Grian and Big B would’ve been the 2nd and 3rd only winners of District 12 (idk who I wanna be the first winner) MEANING they're both going to be forced into the 75th HG (cuz big b would refuse to let the first winner go) now this is where it will get into my own little idea of how it'll go cuz this is where Scar comes into play! He's a past winner, from 10yrs ago! (What me making him to be like Finnick?? who would've thunk it!!)

Grian and Scar see each other for the first time in the starting ceremony thingy where each victor rides the chariots down the thingy for all of the ppl to see and the president welcoming them or w/e.. Scar would be wearing the same thing finnick was in the film (as seen here)  So ykno, imagine that as Scar, scars and scitties galore, waltzing up to Grian. ofc Grian is like wow- this man is attractive. 

Scar is apart of the rebellion, so is the new games master (who rigged this whole HG like in the book/movie)(who i have no idea who to make that as yet, could be Bdubs, i think thatd be funny) and it's Scar's job to keep Grian alive (BigB helps cuz he is in on it as well) and befriend him, become allies-- Mumbo is gonna be there too (he'd be like Beetee from the book/movies) and also befriend them inside the arena uwu ANYWAYS While getting to know one another the whole week before the games start, training and all that jazz.. Grian starts falling for Scar and same goes for Scar to Grian! So when they get into the games their love blossoms further but ofc they cant show it cuz the world thinks Big B and Grian are together!! DRAMA!! (ofc bigB doesnt care, he's over Grian) anyways yeah itd be tense and stuff until they escape the arena, Grian barely making it out alive

basically, they get to District 13, the rebellion is in full swing lol Grian the face of it as "the mockingjay"

i think i'll make Tango be like who Johanna is in HG.. I think he'd fit her fiery angry self lol 

some Scar angst (like finnicks wowie so original) Victors, who are seen as desirable, are sold off to people after winning.. Those people can do whatever they please to that Victor they bought time with. So you can imagine what he has been through.  He uses that after awhile though, to gain information about a lot of things. and is a big asset to the rebellion cuz of it. 

also also Scar would be around 30ish in this and Grian 20 (this is my au the ages are different *rattles the bars of my cage*)

All your posts about being aromatic on my dash has made me question my entire understanding of platonic vs romantic vs sexual attraction which isn’t a bad thing but is frustrating because I’m no longer sure if I know what romantic attraction is. I guess I just always focused on if a relationship is deep and meaningful regardless of how the relationship was defined. Like I used to think that having sex was the defining point but it isn’t. So where does the line between platonic, qpr, and romantic lay and why does it feel like someone is playing multidimensional jump rope with it. I don’t know I’m pretty sure I’m allo and this more stems from my belief that love may be one of the most stupid, complex, and impossible to define words in the English language right up there with religion and art.

Some say the line between platonic, romantic, and qpr are blurry. Emotions are complicated. Theres also a secret third thing which is called alterous attraction. Imagine the types of attraction are on a bingo card. Alterous is the free space (I don't actually know how to play bingo. I have watched Grian play bin-go, though) its just the ??? Kind of attraction.

If it helps, there is def a romantic feeling that alloros seem to get and I have searched far and wide to find. Ppl describe it as tingles, and a physical pull, a feeling like your soul belongs in the presence the person your attracted to? Feeling like your flying or on a rollercoaster and like the air is punched out of you when see the person your attracted to and lightheaded.

But I know a fellow aro said they feel that way around their friends so maybe I'm wrong about some of that.

Emotions are hard cause everyone experiences them differently and characteristics of emotions get mixed up. Ppl laugh when distressed and cry when happy afterall.

It's also an entirely subjective thing. And wether you actually want to label your feelings as romantic or not is up to you. What a relationship is is up to the ppl in it and no one else.

Also for me platonic feelings feels like being covered in a warm blanket and like bliss. Like when I wake up in the morning and don't want to leave my bed because its warm and cozy and safe. It also feels like my heart swells with affection and fondness. I get squishes/platonic crushes too sometimes like I see someone really cool and who seems fun to be around so I'm excited to see them and spend time with them in hopes I can befriend them

But again thatd just me and maybe ppl out there feel that way about their crushes or partners so. Emotions are hard and it'd all be easier if our society decided to come up with one type of Super Duper Important Relationship That You Need Or Else You'll Die Miserably and then there are those other two and also here's how emotions are and this is the rulebook and anyone who dare ask questions about how it all works is weird and crazy.

For example some aspecs find people nice to look at and thats it. We decided to call that aesthetic attraction. But most ppl seem to think if you find someone nice to look at you're interested in them. But we know what we want and don't want. Want to stare not fuck or marry. There are lots of labels like that in the aspec community.

I think its easier to think of love as love and the most important part is what you want to do with that love rathee than how it feels. Maybe. Idk I'm still learning, too. We (aspecs) all are.

kept falling more in love with the idea that “Philippa” is a name kathryn and mark had discussed as using for a baby girl they’d briskly dreamed of having together,,,,,,,, whether or not it was more kathryn’s idea or mark’s doesnt really matter to me. BUT i think shed mention this to Neelix during or after ELOGIUM when hes working through the prospect of having children with Kes. and i think that little nugget of personal information that the captain confided in him would stick.

and i was thinking likeeeeee probably around the time kathryn’s really going through it post-threshold (i wanna say theres a portion of time between Threshold and Meld to where they Regress into their semi-evolved states. id liked the idea that kathryn and tom would find out about their offsprings’ existences during this time as well and it effects their emotions when theyre needing to stabilize and it doesnt help them maintain their human form) but anyway i think neelix would step up alongside chakotay in taking care of the infants. cause i think after Elogium and even after Partruition he’s kinda yearny for fulfilling that role of caretaker of a small thing, or three small things hehe. :)

idk MISPLACED enthusiasm but i think hed wanna help the captain get out of her funk, she doesnt return to the bridge for a while after threshold (((i headcanon it happens after Meld cuz conveniently we dont see her on the bridge Ever in that episode WINK and i think angry emotional tuvok would GRILL her about that)))

I am DEEPLY into dummybaby still even tho its been a while since i played cyberpunk 2077.. the tech stuff is cool in a lot of places but the only ppl who rllly wet my appetite for scifi humanity r the maelstrom and the little hints we get about how they function.. Im not like. adept w any technology i can barely keep my comp 2gether so i dont quite understand it, but the part about Maelstrom bodies or brains somehow amplifying music in Totentanz? Made me d r o o l

ANYWAYS im not gonna talk abt te canonical stuff i barely remember it i need 2 refreshen my brain abt it but ill give. u a quick reminder of how i visualize/characterize Dum dum mostly but ill also give some royce stuff and then ill just go ham w some headcanons abt their basic life.

2 me as like, one of the CHillest maelstrom, which, isnt saying a lot, but 2 me (maybe as an adhd person who experiences the same and mayyy be reflecting a bit teehee) hes someone whos experiencing some level of understimulation who gets over it w extremity.

I usually imagine ngl that its caused by being so overstimulated by an extreme enviroment for his whole life (i mean. night city yk?) that he needs constant punching to get through life. this makes for a vERY hollow feeling life for him but 2 me.

Royces chaos kinda enhances it for him 2 some kinda point of like. purpose? Almost? which is why he seems 2 have at least. like some mild genuine respect & dedication to him. yipee yk.

Royce is just batshit and he loves his music and is the exact opposite he seems 2 be full of energy and so on. Royce is hyped Dum dum is exhausted but seeking smth that feels real and alive and exeptional.

2 me. we get so little abt their personalities in game PLEASE leave me alone this is ENTIRELY speculation and reflective.

bc of that i kinda like to think that they r both. unwell sleepers if that makes sense? Dont sleep enough. Royce sleeps naturally very little and dum dum keeps up w him. We doo see dum dum usually just hanging about, lounging, I can totally imagine him taking mininaps constantly, eyes flickering from time to time, head nodding. Snapping 2 awakenness suddenly when Royce starts speaking again.

ive looked at some rotations of dum dums model and some of his bodymods are DEFINETLY more just aesthetic than functional.. at LEAST his upper lip rings. Those r trditional piercings. Probably also is chin metal n much of the stuff around his mouth. Again im not technically adept and Idk what the designers were going for, but I'd love to think that also the cored part around his neck, where they've just taken a part around his spine and replaced it w a dent of metal, is fully appearences, just bc its so extreme and interesting. He likes his bodymods he enjoys the process!!!! Perhaps he even enjoys the care that goes into them, bodymods that heavy must require a lot of care.

I dont. think he has tattoos in his final design right? og dumdum had the tats? Though i do love to think that he got tattoos when he was younger but most of them have just gone through being torn apart by his later bodymodifications. Maybe he has some shitty stick & pokes somewhere thatd be cute. bonding w the boys.

he mentions he likes classic rock music- tbh i kinda love 2 imagine that hed also enjoy old movies/shows? classics enjoyer. i knoww they have like those brainfilms n shit but its rly hard for me to imagine film going out of style fully, just like books havent fully gone out of style bc movies exist. i dont remember if movies r much mentioned in the game though. STILL yeah I bet hed like some horror movies... He would 1000% watch texas chainsaw massacre etc, and movies from our day as classics. Midsommar w / dum dum sounds like a nightmare.

Secretly dumdums a lil interested in philosophy. He kinda dismisses stuff like that but he does have a secret admiration for the world and thoughts. This comes out particularly bc Royce has some weird ideas.

I think he must be running warm most of the time.... My friend asked me if i think his metal parts get cold enough for your tongue to get stuck and yeah thatd be funny he prolly hates cold weather and needs 2 wear a balaklava when its wintery outside so his metal parts dont freeze his face.

Litcherally never prolly thinks about cyberpsychosis. if e does, maybe he even wishes for it in some way? in a self destructive sense. Royce is more likely to experience it faster, though which i imagine would be a big blow 2 dumdum

Has a lot of CASUAL friends in the maelstrom but it never gets fully to the level of found family/genuine friends. Yes they have a lot in common, yes he spends all his time w them, but it often feels surface level to him, and "unreal". Hes found a more profound connection in Royce, but i feel like his admiration is a little one sided, and that he realizes it? But is like. whatever this is still nice.

dehydrated, forgets to eat and eats like shit when he does eat. Loves carbs and sugars. Possibly caues some of his exhaustion.

He kinda plays up his emotional outbursts!!!! He isnt that angry. He does it to assert dominance in a very outbursty enviroment. If he was in a chiller enviroment you could actually mess w him quite a lot and hed just laugh and mess back w you.

BOTTHH of their eyes can flicker 2 the beat of music like those old computer apps that played music and had some kinda visual indicator of the rythm. fuck w them

Dum dum prolly drives some kinda rly shitty van most of the time, just bc hes usually hanging out w so many people. Big driver in general!!! Not like a car/bike person but enjoys sitting at the wheel and feeling out how the car runs. usually a p good driver but sometimes he gets too focused on getting some adrenaline and becomes a bit of a mess of a driver.

this takes a bit of explaination so ill go into how it would work and then ill talk about why i like it

(also obviously this is just based on my interpretation of agnes and her story, if u have a different interpretation of her thats fine!! i just love my funny messiah woman and want to see her happy)

ANYWAy so the 'how':

jonny said in the season 4 q+a that one could probably sever their connection with the desolation via a completely selfless sacrifice.

agnes' suicide probably fits this description; the in-canon explanation (from what agnes told arthur) is so that the lightless flame could eventually try the scorched earth again with another messiah.

i dont fully believe what arthur said, and its definitely possible that she was just telling him what he wanted to hear. in that case, her making the decision to once and for all stop herself from being able to bring about the scorched earth probably counts as a selfless act as well, cause even if the scorched earth was never actually going to work, she didnt know that.

the first option doeshave a certain irony to it imo, but it doesnt really fit with how i see her at this point, as i think at this point shes not that loyal to the lightless flame (see: jack barnabus). it doesnt really matter to the headcanon tho, all that matters is that agnes committed a selfless act.

doing this disconnected her from the lightless flame, but in doing so she could have potentially connected to another entity.

all that's really required for becoming an avatar is choice, but physical and metaphysical death is encouraged; agnes is experiencing both (physical is obvious, and metaphysical as the death of her as messiah of the desolation).

imo the web is the obvious choice. she already has a connection with it through gertrude and hilltop road, and a lot of agnes' story is about the ways the lightless flame controlled and groomed her, as well as how her final weeks were when she finally managed to get some kind of control over her life (even if that control is her own death). basically, since control is a big theme in agnes' story, and taking control is the prominent feeling that led to her death, i dont think creating a connection to the embodiment of control is such a reach.

so agnes goes through something similar to jon's coma. maybe the lightless flame thinks shes dead, maybe they realise she isnt connected to the desolation anymore and leave her alone.

from there, agnes just does whatever. probably tries not to do anything too notable. she burns emma harvey's house with gertrude obviously, and she does need to feed her power but i dont think she'd do anything thatd get in a statement.

ok so thats how i think it could happen. now why i like it:

first, i dont really like agnes having died. it works fine as an ending to her story as a part of the show at large i guess, and it doesnt really matter to me in that sense. but for her as a character, i think her ending just makes her generic tragic character and thats not really my kind of thing. idk, like i said im not mad about it being her ending or anything, theres definitely a lot to be said for how her living under the lightless flame couldve led to that decision, but its not really what i want for her.

there is also how it relates to the queer reading of her story, but i talked about that earlier.

also i want her to be happy. leave me alone.

second, i really like the idea of agnes having a semi-normal life. she still has web stuff, but its mostly just subtle stuff (we know there are a lot of spooks that arent reported to the institute, and i think what she does is probably that). gertrude tracks her down at some point to help killing emma harvey, but that it.

the web probably doesnt need her to do anything major, cause thats what annabelle's for and shes only a few years away from being an avatar.

in the eyepocalypse she probably tries not to make things too bad for people in her domain, as much as thats a thing she can actually do.

third, iirc it means that every web avatar thats dead was killed by another web avatar. and i think thats fun. obviously she wouldnt have been a web avatar for raymond, but she probably wouldve been marked and thats enough for me.

i like the imagery of the web keeping people only until theyve become obsolete, i imagine it probably wouldnt want to keep people around once theyve done what it needed them to do. also spider imagery.

fourth, agnes did not get NEARLY enough opportunity to be gay. like she probably fucked jude for at least a while but there is. no way that relationship was healthy. (i could talk a lot more about that but this is already too long)

idk who with. i like gertrudeagnes conceptually but i also like them only having met once. they probably did fuck tho.

i saw a fic earlier that shipped her and annabelle and i havent read it yet but that sounds fun.

idk maybe she just finds a normal, non-aligned girlfriend. thats probably the best option. anyway let her be gay

Sigh . So one of my friends is incredibly clingy and physical with me right. And if you remember, a few months back we dated for a little bit and I broke up with her BECAUSE she was so unbearably clingy. But like. Shes still fuckin doing it !!!
