happy early 2024 !

posted a bit early as i'll be going to bed relatively soon, but i wanted to say something to usher in the new year!

as some of you know, i've been in the RPC for a very long time, but took a well needed hiatus a year or so back. i only recently returned mid-November && have not regretted that decision for a second. ♥ it's only been a month and a half, but it's been the best month and a half i've ever spent on this site. i admit i was nervous to return for a variety of reason ( mostly avoiding some rather negative people i originally split from this site to escape from ) but i've come to find that this space space i've built has fostered so much positivity for me, and i'm very grateful for that. i'm grateful for all the new friends i've made, all the connections i've forged, the writing i've done, and the plots i've gotten to explore! && as the new year approaches, i'm walking it into with quite a few new aspirations and hopes. i'm really, really thankful to everyone who's given me the time and chance to reach out and make a connection. to the people who've talked to me and told me they're excited for the release of my book, for my return to the vtubing community, for the times we play games together and just goof off.

i hope you know how much you all mean to me. i wish i could tag EVERYONE in this post but tumblr would kick my ass, but just know that i'm truly and honestly grateful and honored to have met the people that i have and look forward to talking more with all of you and getting to know you better. there are a few people i want to single out to shower with love who've supported me or have even known me from the LAST TIME i was on the site lmao

What about Yandere Dabi with a darling that has a crush on him, but he finds out after taking them? And they are kinda reluctant to be all touchy-feely because ''you fucking kidnapped me!''. (Possible ways to find out: Pictures of him on their phone, a loveletter in their backpack, a text to a friend where they mention it)

He seems like the kind of yandere to go through his Darling's phone when he feels like it, especially after they've been kidnapped. Obviously they can't call or text anyone without his permission (and they know that trying will likely result in him burning their phone--and whoever they'd contacted--to a crisp.

Still, he likes looking through it to find out more about the little things about them; stalking someone only led you to learn so much. And he couldn't believe what he had found when he looked at the old messages they'd sent to their friend just a few months ago:

Truth be told, Dabi had just thought that they didn't need threatening. Poor little thing had been trembling and crying the whole time he burned that bum to death. It'd really been on a whim that he'd decided to help ____ out. But the wide-eyed, helpless little look they'd given him as he looked down at them had left an impression on him. They were scared sure, and seeing them like that was kinda hot; but what had really gotten to him was that they actually were grateful to him. Hell, no wonder Heroes got into the business of saving people if it meant they got those shivering looks of adoration all the time.

Dabi snorted. ____ really shouldn't have been so easy to get a hold of. Maybe they were just leading him on because they wanted him to take them for himself? I mean who leaves their windows AND doors unlocked in this day and age? Maybe they'd been sleeping in just t-shirts and nothing else at night because they knew he'd enjoy the show. 

Was the fight they put up just an act then? They'd been a bitch to knock out, and they still kept flinching and resisting every time he initiated anything with them. He'd figured it was just because they were scared or disgusted by him wanting to put his burned and scarred lips and hands on them. But he was "handsome" to them this whole time.

Dabi would just set the phone back down and went to the bedroom his Darling had been sharing with him for the past few weeks to let them know they didn't need to pretend to be playing hard to get, acting all frigid and getting so upset and mad for him "kidnapping them". They didn't need to put up that front with him anymore! Now they could accept his advances and melt in his arms without being so insecure.

He would constantly think about that text where they'd called him handsome. It wasn't something he was used to hearing, and if his Darling ever used it as a nickname (either of their own will or because he made them say it), those words would drive him wild. He's already a very touchy yandere, but hearing that would make it even worse.

aaaaa!!! i've talked about it a lil bit before on my old account but i've changed a few things so i'll elaborate on it a lil more here :]

ok so,,, it's A Swap Au. obviously. jackie swaps with anti, henrik swaps with chase, marvin swaps with jj, etc, vice versa, all that jazz

• henrik is a failed doctor who got his medical license taken away after committing just a b i t of malpractice, and now runs a small art youtube channel (at the suggestion of jack n chase). his wife, who had been cheating on him, left when she found that he wasn't making enough money to properly Provide, and so now he lives with anti in their shared apartment. his life is literally falling apart around him but u know what That's Ok he's Fine he swears it

• chase is a pediatrician (a doctor for kids) who loves his friends So Very Much. him n stacy are still together in this but Just Barely (they most likely get divorced later on, but it's Ok because they're still on good terms). jackie has a particular strange obsession with him. please help this man.

• jackie is an over-the-top supervillain who exists Solely to be bastard. he is filled with ✨ c h i l d h o o d  t r a u m a ✨ and ✨ r a g e ✨ and is going to make that everyone else's problem. builds robots on occasion, currently buidling a robotic servant who he named "S.A.M". has known marvin for a long time n thinks of them as his brother. he gives off the vibes of megamind but Worse

• marvin is a well-known magician where the egos live, so much so that they have their own tv show. on camera they're a loveable, eccentric personality- but in reality they're actually Pretty Fuckin Terrible. henrik is one of the only people who knows this is and is determined to tear their career to shreds because he hates them with every fiber of his being (though he won't elaborate on why).

• anti- referred to as "anthony" or "anthy" in this au, is henrik's Annoying Ass Roommate. he's not a hero and definitely doesn't consider himself to be one but he IS willing to beat the shit out of jackie and marvin at any given point so that's gotta count for something right. probably worked with jackie for a small time and regrets it immensely. bastard but also not entirely bastard.

• jameson, (mainly calls himself james), is just a "normal" guy trying to live a normal life. he mainly sticks to and himself in his apartment building filled with 72 different house plants, but sometimes him and anti meet up with each other to talk about how their lives are going. he also may have time travel powers that he doesn't know about and probably has a revealation later on causing him 2 have a few mental breakdowns later on but it's Fine u know it's Ok

I really appreciate the way you portray realistic, loving asexual relationships. I'm in the "neutral" camp myself, like some of your Aziraphales, and it's so comforting to see people like me in loving in intimate, deeply romantic ways. In your stories, asexuality is never a barrier between The Boys or something that detracts from their relationship; it never prevents them from being in love and being attracted to each other. (1/3)

Asexual people being aesthetically attracted to each other's bodies is something I rarely see in any media, not just fanfiction, yet... that's a detail I see again and again in your works, and you write it so perfectly. Your stories hit all the right points, every time! I hate the stereotype that we're robots or we can't love (or that we can't appreciate a pretty human, or enjoy the more sensual side of things, or whatever, you name it).  (2/3)

The thing is, I’m just writing, as honestly as I can, how I personally feel, and what I would want out of a romantic relationship.  I wouldn’t want asexuality (especially sex-repulsed asexuality) to be a barrier, so it isn’t; I don’t understand why it would prevent someone from feeling non-sexual attraction, so it doesn’t.  My ace little heart contains an extremely large amount of “oh oh look pretty human pretty human aaaaa want to smooch” sentiment, even if it doesn’t find a specific target very often.  Right now fanfic is my only place for expressing that, so it kind of... spills out all over the place.  you guys i am so utterly in love with Aziraphale please nobody tell Crowley

There is a large amount of loving aceness in the works of AO3 users hope_in_the_dark, 5ftjewishcactus, and Depressedstressedlemonzest, for the record.  And there’s others, but those three were the first to come to mind in terms of sheer quantity/proportion of romantic asexual content.  (I’m pretty sure we all write 100% ace stuff?  I’m too sleepy to comb back through everyone’s works to commit to that statement.)

There is of course also wonderful aroace content out there, too, loving relationships between an Aziraphale and a Crowley who have neither sexual nor romantic feelings toward each other, but... that’s not what I personally gravitate toward, so I haven’t read a whole lot of it.  (The most recent thing I read which had a non-romantic, non-sexual, deeply caring relationship between the boys was Kedreeva’s Siren’s Song, and it is one of two fanfics I’ve read where the ending touched me deeply enough to make me cry.)  (the other was one of Hope’s hi ilu Hope <3 )

-Prussia would absolutely collect my merch and do reviews on it for SURE. unboxings, cosplay reviews, everything!!! he’s the guy that everyone thinks of when they think of my fanmade content,,, he runs a blog and makes moodboards and imagines and all kinds of stuff!!! he also is big on sending folks letters from me (or other characters). 🥺 o my god that’s cute...... he probably writes really soft romantic reader insert fics and doodles us all over his diaries and aaaaa.... hes as obsessive abt it as i am lol...

-Dazai would be a little more ‘elegant’ about it- he’d write character analyses and little infographics pointing out every little detail of my design and the meaning behind it. He’s the fandom’s math teacher essentially, he does all the smart people work like research and essays on the plot and stuff. he does definitely try to write some spicy fics abt me tho....

-...which Chuuya will punch him for. Chuuya would be super quiet abt it, but Dazai KNOWS and torments him endlessly lol.... Chuuya would be trying to defend my honor 🥺 he’s not as much a creator as he is a consumer, but he’s the BEST kind. comments on everything, reblogs everything, credits the creators when he posts stuff, all that kind of goodness that keeps a fandom going. all anonymously, of course- he’s a mafioso, after all!!

-Prussia is the memer, hands down, everyone else go home. he has all the reaction images of me saved and organized neatly in lil folders. he runs a BLOG abt me for gods sake. he will insist that he’s the number one fan that loved me b4 i was popular and he will meme abt anything and everything i do or say dhskfh he also has his own channel specifically for just screeching into the void abt me bc he’s a SIMP

-Dazai is a close second, he’s more of a text post/incorrect quotes type of memer. He also analyzes the hell out of things, he predicts damn near everything that happens in my story months before it does. he has sources for everything, has every chapter/episode bookmarked and probably takes notes abt them.

-Chuuya is the anonymous lurker that chimes in very rarely but when he does, it’s awesome!!! He likes to roast the hell out of everyone in the chat, esp. Dazai obviously. He occasionally will throw out a cute thought he had like ‘i thought about going on a beach date with her...’ and he’s so sweet and heartfelt that everyone is like 🥺 oh my god..... he’s the one everyone else ships with me the hardest lol.

It's a little weird that only Cynthia gets voiceacted out of the main champion trio in this anime vid. If it was an issue of getting old voiceactors back on short notice, then technically isn't Lance the one who was used most recently in Generations? Is Cynthia's Japanese voiceactor just always lurking in the shadows ready to jump back into the fray? Or did Nintendo just aknowledge that she's the most popular champion lol. Ian so happy that Barry made it in as one of the main friendsn of the female protag choice (and also that they included the female protag choice in promotional materials this time!) And it's awesome that Rosa was chosen as one of the primary important characters overall, and that cool tote bag with her saving Brendan atop a charizard was the first foreshadowing we got of the entire game. Brock hugging Cheren's Snivy!!!! I didn't even think about cool interactions that could come from the Masters meeting each other's Pokémon!!! Imagine something like at the start of the journey big onix is all scared of lil Snivy and Snivy starts off playing into the scary persona cos it's proud of someone acknowledging its power. But along the journey they're able to become friends and get over their differences and get to this point where Snivy jumps in to defend someone ten times it's size and can trust it's friend's trainer to help it when it gets hurt.

Aaaa so much potential aaaa... I want everyone to be buddies...

Oh man I wish whenever I got a badge I also got the gym leader to join me on my journey... I really hope there's lots of good plot bonding with all the characters I want like a full fire emblem support system thing (but for intercontinuity friendships not marriages of course)

Who are the mysterious domino mask guys? New evil team? They look coincidentally similar to my Team Jinx idea I had for a fan region when i was a teenager, so I'm happy!!

And then some more animated bad guys it seems?? IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE HUNTER J FROM THE ANIME AAA and she has cool fancy teammates now?? Maybe we'll learn more of her backstory? I like the guy with the face tattoos/oddly triangular scars?

IT WAS ALL SUGIMORI'S IDEA THEY REALLY DID GIVE HIM A GAME TO CELEBRATE ALL HIS CHARACTERS IM SO HAPPY FOR HIM AAAA Im so glad cos I have ALWAYS complained that the trainer's never get merchandise and every time theres a returning cameos I'm so happy dear GOD I love SO MANY of these classic friends!!!!!

It's neat that it's being developed with a new smartphone app company instead of niantic, I'm glad this new company is more open to having the actual Pokémon art style. DeNA looks neat and their president seems to be a nice and stylish guy!

Oooo new region Pasio! It's an artificial island created specifically to be a paradise of tournaments and sporting events, similar to how the Battle Area was in sinnoh. I wonder if this kind of thing is common around teh pokeworld and this is kinda just like the main one that started a franchise of smaller ones around the world? Is this Pokémon Disneyland???

Really hard to catch all the trainer's tho cos they overlap each other. There's Flint and it seems Cheryl the stat trainer but I couldnt catch any of the ones near the end where it starts fading out...

Also I just REALLY LOVE the Sync System where you actually get unique special moves from the trainer's you pick, rather than everything being entirely dependant on the Pokémon. They can apparently use heals and buffs as well as having their own unique animation for z moves!

Aaaaand lots more trainers going past super fast and I can't see a thing, lol

in conclusion, i am scared as fuck for whatever’s going to happen in the next episode but also super intrigued, this sounds like a really cool mystery and i absolutely adore winter settings (plus more of griffin’s absolutely fantastic creepy music). can’t wait to see what the rest of the arc has in store :D
