i haven't played minecraft in years, but with the armadillo winning the vote, i think about how wolves don't really have much going on in terms of their utility. like anytime i tame a wolf, i end up just kinda keeping them sitting at home.

i think if mojang really does feel like wolves are deserving of armour, with the addition of armadillos, they really need to update wolves to be more useful as companion mobs, because personally... i never feel the urge to bring a wolf with me when im going out to do things, especially if it involves combat.

like, what do dogs do best? fetching stuff and digging, right? like i wish that i could just mill about with a wolf and they track a scent or something and start digging into the dirt and then proceed to bring you that item. like it could range from rarely digging up iron nuggets to digging up vegetables or whatever, yknow. combine the fetching stuff with combat and you wouldn't have to manually pick up stray arrows or items from mobs your wolf kills.

the only other thing i wish you could do with wolves is automate their health in some way, like give more utility to the bowl item so you can place it down for them to eat from so you don't have to constantly manage their health by looking at their tail. just minor quality of life stuff i guess.

idk, that's just my thoughts. i do like wolves in minecraft, they just feel rather lacking with the way some new mobs have so much going on, like the sniffer and allay and so on.

#id like to play minecraft at some point but sadly i dont think my current computer can run it due to not supporting opengl #but yeah. i usually keep this stuff to tags but i figured my thought process wouldve ended up with more than 30 tags #so thusly just. lone post of my thoughts.#but back on subject. i kinda think about how you could automate like... mob farms with wolves. but i run into dead ends #like how do you specify which mobs to have your wolf ignore. and how do you target them in the first place without attacking them #like. maybe the scope? like you zoom in on the mob you want attacked. idk. thats a tough one to figure out.#cause like it has to be something that can be easily executed. and easily managed.#like im imagining going to a pig pen and letting a wolf in to go kill and then bring back the items #but like you dont want the wolf to kill all of them... and yeah ik theres more efficient ways to farm mobs #i guess i just want it to be a bit more player involved. add some fun to it.#i like going around and doing things. automation is kinda less of my thing in most cases #especially with the complexity of some things right. like having a simple easy option would just be nice to have i guesz #its just all about how you go about executing it in gameplay #anyway thats all my damn brain power #minecraft #tagging that for myself for if i gotta find it later

C through G got smudged and didn't photograph well (I really have to draw stuff darker if I don't want it to lose all clarity when it smudges, or buy better pencils I guess), and there's only so much I wanted to mess with photo settings tonight, but having never really tried to draw hands before, here's how it's going. I've been drawing these over the past week or so, I guess 11 in total since that's how many letters there are from A to P

#i feel like the photo manipulation did some work in the last one. like no way did I draw the O that good #or no you know what. it's more that the photo smooths stuff out because my phone camera just isn't that powerful #like in my actual sketchbook you see the pencil marks so much more #it would actually be nice to have a good phone camera #my husband's phone camera is probably literally 100x more powerful #maybe more. idk how you measure camera #but with mine it looks grainy the instant you zoom in a little. and with his you can zoom in soooo much #also wait i just wanna add. the quality is improving but it still takes so long #and if it's the first drawing of the day? spend forever just figuring out where to start. end up erasing all my initial line attempts #that's where i'm at now lol #took photos of my other drawings so i wouldn't have to start q

Ive gotten so used to not being able to play most games bc of my hands and reaction time n stuff so ive basically gotten used to hitting a ceiling in a game where i can't play normally anymore and need to use assists/cheats so every time i find a game that i Don't need to do that for whenever it ends im just like wait huh thats it???

#cannot decide if Jusant was too short or it's just more accessible than I'm used to so i was able to blaze through it-#either way i would love another game with mechanics like Jusant the climbing was so fluid and satisfying #i thought with my directional confusion n shit i wouldn't be able to get it #but i got a controller and the joysticks and trigger buttons REALLY help with that somehow???#and i managed to get to a point where i was just spidering up walls in seconds #i wanna play more so im actually kind of glad i missed collectibles #this is why you dont 100% run on your first playthrough so you have More Fun to have with it later #i play most games for The Movement (something i Very Much Cannot Do A Lot Of irl) bc its satisfying to Zoom #and that game just has a really solid climbing mechanic its so fun #and so easy to like. make it easier on yourself somehow.#like using pitons to anchor yourself halfway up a wall and then just rappel down to the previous ledge #to regain stamina and then just reel yourself back up to that anchor and keep going #or you can use a piton to just dangle and assess your surroundings #as well as stamina doesnt drain unless you're in motion or under duress (like from weather) so you can pause and look around #plus it's just very fun to climb up this big ol stack and look down and see Wow! I Fuckin Did That!#bc each section is just one real big map so you can fall from top to bottom (of each section)#if you could fall i dont think. the game lets you #cause i tested and if you're not tethered you just do not walk off ledges #which is also nice i like that too it makes me less anxious

btw furfsky finally updated their gallery :D sorta. it's not completely up to date, but the way the gallery loads is way better. sadly you can't see item names anywhere, so if you wanna know what one of the textures is you just have to know, but they're still very cool to look at regardless

The amount of joy I get playing old console games... I love games like these so much like I'm having so so much fun playing p3p and it's just at the beginning too but gooooood, everything bout this makes me so giddy.

i really like my seminar class tbh like i didnt think a class where i had to do readings every week and then discuss them as a class was gonna be enjoyable but im a fool if i thought discussing anything even vaguely literary was not gonna be my favorite thing in the world

#the readings every week are annoying especially bc sometimes i just dont have time/dont feel like doing it #but the readings are interesting and relatively small bites and its nice to discuss other peoples thought processess #and also criticize how it was written bc not a day goes by where im not being a hater abt something #and its just really interesting to discuss things like this like its making me actually interested in art history #or at least past art movements which is kind of the same thing but not really #idk what my past art history classes were doing but i wish it was more like this #maybe bc it was more like actual history (and architecture genuienly my least fave thing) instead of more art focused?#you cant separate history from art but like. theres only so many times you can go through the roman fucking empire man #that 19tg century photography class i took was genuienly the most interesting art history class i took and it was such a shame that it was o #on zoom if only bc it presents a barrier for genuine discussion #but otherwise i learned so much lmao #but going thru artists artist statements and interviews is really interesting in getting that actual real time perspective of art and the #movements that came from the time periods #its just a shame i dont know the art movements very well off the top of my head otherwise itd be a more worthwhile class #i mean its already worthwhile but its a little hard to understand when we start discussing movements as a whole but it doesnt deteact too mu #much #anyways #was talking to my brother abt the art critic thing and his response was basically yeah you WOULD do well with a job that requires you to cri #criticize #he knows me so well lmao <3 #michi tag
