from the start, he’s quite oblivious to certain things, (social ques, signs of romantic interest, etc.)

but when he’s observant with someone, then that totally means you’re special to him. does he realize how much he pays attention to you? hmm.. maybe?

he’s going to be the first one that notices you’re hungry, even if you don’t realize it yourself. he’s quick to grab a snack and break it open to you

same thing with being thirsty— if he notices that your water bottle is empty, he’ll quickly find the nearest vending machine and buy a bottle.

temperature is also no problem. he can immediately tell whenever someone’s cold; but he usually helps you first

too hot? he’s slowly putting down the room’s temperature

too cold? his left palm starts emitting some sort of heat in your direction, hoping it creates some sort of aid

if your shoelaces are undone, and/or he notices that there’s a button undone on your shirt— he’ll fix it for you

will ask to take your pictures on dates, and he’ll also help you pick out the best photo (not that any photo of you is short of any beauty)

in short— people will notice that he’s actually a big simp for you; because of how observant he is with you specifically.

katsuki bakugou

— THE TSUNDERE SIMP

just because he’s simping for you doesn’t mean he’ll treat you any differently. bakugou will be bakugou, and you eventually learn how to adapt to that.

but even so, his simp habits slip out sometimes.

when he’s cooking, he’ll accidentally make too much to eat, and he’ll coincidentally put the extras in another box and hand it to you

he’s a good student, even with studies. but would he say he’s a good teacher? hm. probably not

but if he notices you need help, he’ll sigh, feining annoyance as he decides to tutor y’all, because those ‘idiots’ are hopeless

rolls his eyes when he sees food on your cheek, but he’ll grab a tissue and wipe it off for you— claiming how you’re so messy.

he’ll act like he hates hearing your ‘annoying ass singing’ but he’ll lean against the doorway and listen to you rock out to whatever song you’re singing to.

denki will call him a simp for looking after you, and bakugou will just yell at him to “SHUT UP” >:T

he secretly likes taking care of you. his words aren’t the softest thing in the world, but his actions make up to it.

izuku midoriya

— THE DETAILED SIMP

as katsuki bakugou would call him; he is a nerd

he definitely meant that as an insult, but his input on detail makes it very useful in things like relationships

he remembers every detail of your quirk, your limits, potential secret moves.

it would’ve been stalker-ish, if it weren’t for the fact that deku does this out of admiration for his s/o

so if you so happen to collapse due to overusing your quirk— deku has a detailed plan on what to do. it’s almost scary.

he puts detail in a lot of things, anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, and so on.

deku’s also the type to plan things weeks before it actually happens. like.. planning out the perfect birthday gift

and with this, his memory is really good. so it’s very unlikely that he’ll just suddenly forget anniversaries and birthdays.

i hc deku as a bad cook, so he eats takeout food more than his homemade food

but he’s takes note of your allergies, your dislikes with food— and he finds himself mumbling small details to recall what you like

when you walk out in pretty/good outfits for dates

his face will break out into shades of red— suddenly rambling all the good details of your outfit, complimenting you while he’s at it

“y/n’s looks fantastic as always. i might die from their beauty”

if anyone calls him a simp, he’ll be really embarrassed about it. “me? a s-simp? is that a bad thing?”

— THE HYPEMAN SIMP

he worships the ground you step on, and hypes up everything you do

it’s so blantly obvious that he’s simping over someone, and everyone’s just kinda used to it at this point

whenever you’re sparring with someone, he’s always in the background like

when y’all weren’t together, the bakusquad was just tired of the constant romantic pining

it was really obvious that he was simping back then, and they’re not so sure as to how you didn’t say anything about it

so yeah!! it was a big relief when you got together with him. he never makes you feel terrible, because he’s always your #1 hypeman.

— THE HELPING SIMP (rip idk what to call this)

i didn’t really know what kinda name i went for this one but let me carry on

kiri upfront is very confident, and friendly. he never shows a mean side to anyone,

and there are rare cases of him being bashful

he’s kinda almost like a golden retriever? since he’s always nice and friendly to everyone

but then when you enter the room; he suddenly goes quiet, and he’s left alone with his rather loud thoughts about you

he didn’t really know how to properly approach you at first

but him being kiri, he’s still rather friendly to you (for now)

when he’s messing around, practically sharing one braincell with kami and sero

and then you suddenly walk in— he snaps out of his foolishness, and greet you with his very warm smile

“hey y/n!” he waves at you, and he hopes you don’t mention the teasing look on both kami and sero’s face

sometimes when he’s doing his close combat training, and he notices that he’s getting too close to you

he’ll be like “woah man, maybe we should move locations.” bc he doesn’t wanna hit you by accident ;;

kirishima prefers to not stand near you when his hair is all spiky. like he’s never conscious about it, until he’s around you

man poked sero with his hair before, and he doesn’t want to do that to you

kiri always looks at your hand, just to see if it’s occupied with something. his thoughts linger to what your hand might feel like

“their hand looks really.. soft. argh! i shouldn’t be thinking about these kind of things in public! im sorry y/n”

bakugou really only notices kirishima’s simping ways

bakugou always mentions the fact that kirishima goes really silent whenever you’re around—

and he’s secretly contemplating on having you around more so he can just shut up 。・°°・(＞_＜)・°°・。

moving aside all of that, kiri always carries your things.

you’ll beg him to give you at least one thing, and he’ll say no because it’s “not manly to let someone carry all of this.”

if you’re sad, he’s the first one to cheer you up— reassuring you that everything will be okay.

kiri’s just wants to be at your service at all times! it’s manly to help people, right?

hitoshi shinsou

— THE DISCREET SIMP

no one would be able to tell that he’s simping for someone

because unlike kaminari; he’s not like IM HITOSHI SHINSO AND IM ACTUALLY A SIMP

he’s a lot more discreet, and no one has really caught on, besides you and kaminari of course

he’s a lot less sarcastic with you, asking you about anything that’s happened instead of just being there

he prefers it to hear you talk. the way each word and syllable rolls off your tongue smoothly, and the way you use your hands to emphasize things

he’s amused.

oh and the way he looks at you? almost any normal person can sense the simp in him pop out (he’s so contained though)

he’s definitely the person that’ll get rid of any bug that’s terrifying you— even though he’d normally just leave it to them

he’ll do it, regardless if it’s the biggest fucking spider he’s ever seen, or the smallest spider

he’ll do it to make you feel safe.

he has these random spurs of compliments during the day

and they’re just so unexpected and out of the blue. hitoshi’s amused whenever he sees your reaction to his compliments

Ok so this didn’t turn out as clingy as I was hoping it would but I hope you still like it!

warnings: gn reader, mentions of vomit and other sickness symptoms

First and foremost, Camilo is dramatic af so if he literally just has the sniffles and/or a small cough he’s gonna be all “AYYyyyYyY!! I’m dyingggggg!” And he’ll request kisses and want to be pampered (it’s fucking adorable when he switches between 3-5 different ppl every time he sneezes)

So that’s how you know it’s really not that bad

But when it is bad it’s almost nothing like that. He’s definitely complaining but it’s not loud or super exaggerated like when it’s minor.

You will be pulled away from chores by any or every Madrigal for either situation.

When Camilo has a fever and his sinuses are clogged and his whole body aches he’s not going anywhere except the bathroom and maybe the kitchen. If he’s brave enough to drag himself out of bed for an arepa he’s gonna make it halfway down the stairs before he slumps over the railing for a break.

He might resume his journey, he might not, and if not someone (probably you or Pepa) finds him and hauls his ass back to bed. He gets his snack ofc bc he looks so pitiful that the person who found him can’t just not get him the food.

Buuuut if Camilo has a stomach bug there’s no way he’s keeping it down. Baby boy is not that strong no matter how much he likes to boast and show off.

You’ll sit next to him in front of the toilet and hold his hair away from his face and rub circles on his back as his body heaves and shakes. When it’s all out of his system you’ll scold him for not being careful about what he eats bc his stomach can’t handle it rn. But like I said before he just looks so friggin pitiful you can’t keep up the act.

You’ll clean him up and get him back to bed but he says you should get going bc he doesn’t wanna get you sick too. You pull a “well I guess if you really don’t want me here…” and stand from the foot of his bed.

Camilo immediately starts contradicting himself “wait wait wait nooo don’t leaveee”

You put your hands on your hips and raise a brow, biting back a smile. Camilo blushes and avoids eye contact which is out of character for him but being sick makes him shy. He opens his arms reaches out doing like grabby hands, and in the softest voice he asks “Stay? Please?”

You let the smile break through and roll your eyes “of course, amor. Now scoot over.”

The most excited but exhausted grin splits across Camilo’s face and he does as told and lets you settle in. As soon as you’re comfortable he’s so friggin close that he’s almost an top of you.

He snuggles into you and inhales deeply, then sighs “Gracias, [your name]. For taking care of me.”

You wrap your arms around him and press a few kisses to his forehead “always, Cami.”

A comfortable silence falls and you trace along his back, maybe rub his tummy, definitely play with his hair, and Camilo’s out like a light. You follow soon after

I had an idea…

So maybe one day you’re in the castle with Alcina and you mouth off, or you l misplace something, or maybe you’re too needy and you start grinding on her favorite pillow and it gets on her nerves. Whatever the reason, she decides she needs to teach you a lesson (while also distracting you long enough for her to get work done).

So, she decides to take you to a broom closet or a similarly small room, tie you up, and leave you there. (From here I have to note that this is consensual just bc). Outside the room, she posts a note that says something to the effect of:

“free to use. Only 2 rules. #1-don’t hurt my pet. #2-don’t let my pet cum”.

She leaves the door unlocked so anyone in the castle can come in and take a few minutes to relieve some stress. Throughout the day you get quite a few visitors. Each of the daughters (one at a time obvi) pop by to say hello.

Bela decides to take the opportunity to study what you like/dislike. She stimulates you here and there but doesn’t let you get close to the edge. After a while she sits on your face.

Cass decides to be a sadist and really edge you. She consistently brings you close, but instead pulls away and makes you cry a bit in frustration.

Dani brings you a glass of water and some food. You eat while she rides a conveniently placed strap.

maids stop by, mostly just to gawk but a few decides to take the opportunity. After all, if you’re good enough to please Lady Dimitrescu, who’re they to say no to such an opportunity.

You’re eventually buster by a certain shy doll maker, and a rather rough, tentacled pirate (idk how else to describe fem Sal). Even a curious blonde cult leader uses you for a while.

By the end of the day, you’re absolutely exhausted, and more than a little pent up. You hear the unmistakable footsteps of your lady, and soon enough, she opens the door. “Hello my darling, how was your day?” She coos, more than a little bit of sarcasm in her voice). She unties you and scoops you into her arms. It takes everything you have not to fall asleep as she carries you to her room. Once you’re settled on her bed, she takes off her dress. “You look so tried, Draga Mea. I hope you have the energy for one more round”.

Needless to say, she fucks you thoroughly, finally letting you cum, stretched around her finger. Once you’ve ridden out your high, she takes you to her bath and washes you tenderly. You find yourself wrapped up in the softest of blankets with your lover holding you close.

my family tries to tell me that i need other hobbies than just sitting in my room thinking about sambucky so here are some sambucky hcs because i don't care about what my family thinks :)

bucky hates the cold (bc trauma) so sam buys the softest blankets he can find anytime he goes to the store. their hall closet is full of blankets and matching fuzzy pillow cases

they both despise valentine's day.

sometimes bucky will just,,bring home a random animal. doesn't matter if it was hurt or it was just cute. so they end up buying a house on a bigger plot of land to keep them all

sam has a vast variety of cartoon character socks

they alternate between who cooks and who cleans daily

if one is having a bad day the other is so they curl up on the couch and watch whatever is on nickelodeon

bucky loves to read to an almost obsessive extent, they have fourteen small bookshelves and regular shelves that are full with books. and bucky has read every one of them. multiple times.

when sam was a kid he wanted to be a photographer so he has three shoe boxes in their closet full of pictures he took around the world.

sam told bucky about how scott beat him up so now every time they're together and bucky sees an ant he'll push sam out of the way and say "that was a close one, almost got your ass kicked again" with the most shit eating expression sam's ever seen

sorry it took me so long! I finally got the inspiration bc of LDOV, so here’s what Claire, Kaia, and Jack are doing to celebrate! featuring sickly sweet gays, gender-fuckery, and young dumbassery

Jody had made them promise not to drink. Like they would, with Jack right there. He may look like he’s their age, but that kid is… well, a kid. Claire had antagonized her purposely by pouring all their drinks into old empty bottles of margarita mix and tequila. Kaia reaches across her girlfriend to grab one now, swinging the Cuervo bottle of water toward their picnic setting. Jack and Claire may be cool enough to drink the homemade punch all day long, but Kaia’s teeth are starting to ache. Christ, she’s starting to sound as old as Dean and Sam.

“Babe, pass me the box over there.” Claire interrupts her thoughts. Kaia blinks and passes said cardboard over to Claire, realizing they don’t actually know what’s in this one. Claire grins, obviously recognizing her confusion. “Surprise, Jack, we’re actually here to celebrate.”

Jack’s whole face lights up. “Really? What? Is it someone’s birthday?”

Claire rolls her eyes and Kaia presses a smile into submission. “No, kid, it’s lesbian day of visibility,” she says. She hands Kaia a cupcake from the box then, one of the giant ones they sell at the supermarket, with Claire’s clear personal touch of ‘congrats, you’ve got taste’ written in icing over the top. Kaia lets out a short laugh, and Claire beams. Jack cranes his neck over to see the writing until Claire passes him his own cupcake. It distracts him long enough that Kaia can duck in for a long sweet kiss that leaves Claire blushing.

“Thanks, Claire. Let me see yours?”

Claire obediently takes the last cupcake out of the box and sticks a candle in the middle, not quite covering up her message that says ‘congrats, you escaped the evangelicals.’

“Impressed that fit on a cupcake,” Kaia teases. Claire waggles her eyebrows.

“I’m real talented with my fingers.”

Kaia nudges her with a snort. “What’s a lesbian?” Jack asks abruptly.

Kaia takes a peak at his own cupcake now as Claire lights it with the bic she keeps in her jacket. His says ‘congrats, your whole family is lesbian.’ “A lesbian,” Claire says studiously, lighting their and her own candle. “Is somebody who likes girls. Women. In a gay way.” She raises her eyebrows at him but he just blinks. “I’m a lesbian. They’re a lesbian.” She nods her head to Kaia. “Jody and Donna? Big ole d-” Kaia coughs loudly. “Lesbians. Sam and Eileen too, totally gay. And Dean and Cas don’t quite count, but they get an honorary title because it took them twelve years to figure out they were totally in love with each other.”

Kaia shakes her head. “True kid, you’ve only got lesbians. Good for you,” She extends a fist to Jack and he bumps it happily.

“Now blow out your candle.” Claire commands. They all take looks at each other to get on the same page and then blow them out at once. Well, Claire and Kaia blow theirs out. Jack huffs and puffs on his, but the stubborn thing stays lit. “Come on, Jack, blow it out!”

Kaia starts laughing when they realize, and they’re leaned all the way back in the grass before Claire leans over to check on them. God, their girlfriend is a bitch, and she loves her so much. “You fucker,” she whispers, pointing at the poor kid. He’s about to turn blue with effort all for a trick candle.

Claire winks. “That’s okay, Jack, I got you,” she licks her fingers and pinches the flame out, to Jack’s huge fucking amazement.

“How did you-”

She shows him her unburned fingers, grins. “I’m a badass.”

“Do it again!”

Claire laughs. “Later, dude. We’ve got plenty of flames to practice on tonight.” She sprawls out so her head’s in Kaia’s lap, apparently too good for the ground.

Kaia sits up to put a hand on her cheek and sends an exaggerated wink to Jack. “Remember, nothing to anybody, but especially not Jody or Cas,” She reminds him. They’d kill them all if they knew she and Claire had brought fireworks with them. But hey, it’s Lesbian Day. They’re allowed. Being gay and committing crimes, and all. Fireworks in an abandoned field? That’s nothing compared to what they do on the regular 9 to 5.

“I remember.” Jack solemnly swears. “But Kaia, I thought-” He stops, eyebrows twisting in confusion.

“What’s up, Jack?”

He hesitates again before continuing. “I thought you weren’t a girl. Aren’t lesbians supposed to be girls?”

Kaia grins. “Hm, kinda.” She looks down at Claire, whose eyes have fluttered shut with Kaia’s soft touches. She doesn’t open her eyes but must feel Kaia’s look, because she chips in.

“It’s more about loving girls in a gay way than being full-blown girl,” she tells him. Her hand seeks out the one of Kaia’s that’s not on her cheek and intertwines their fingers. Kaia’s heart flutters, and they can feel the tips of their ears flush. “Like Sam and Eileen. And Kaia.”

Kaia nods, thankful for the start of the explanation. “Gender’s complicated. And sexuality. But, uh, it’s more about what you feel. Than the labels or anything,”

“But being a lesbian’s great.” Claire says emphatically. “I mean, look at her.” She gestures wildly up to Kaia and ends up flopping a hand against her shoulder. “Sorry, babe,”

“‘S okay,” Kaia assures her. They look up to see Jack looking at them with like the softest eyes she’s ever seen. It makes her blush and look back at Claire, who has the good sense to keep her eyes shut when she’s being sappy.

“I wanna be a lesbian!”

Kaia grins, full-out this time, at the childlike wonder on his face. “Awesome, dude. Go for it.”

Claire reaches a blind hand out to do an awkward version of her and Jack’s secret handshake. He complies just as clumsily. “Hell yeah, Jack. It’s in your blood. But, y’know, live your truth or whatever.”

Kaia pats Claire on the cheek, once, twice, slapping a little harder each time until Claire’s eyes fly open and she tackles her. They tousle on the ground with Jack cheering and switching sides depending on who’s winning in the moment, until Claire rolls over and lets out a harsh gasp. Kaia stops immediately, turning her to look at the damage. “My fucking cupcake!” Claire cackles maniacally and shoves a handful of cake and icing at her face.

It devolves into a full-blown food fight. Kaia manages to eat most of her crushed cupcake through Claire’s repeated attacks with it, but once Jack gets involved, all bets are off. Jack squeezes a bottle of mayonnaise onto Claire’s shirt, and she upends the Tito’s bottle over his head. At one point Kaia gets hit with lunch meat (they make a vulgar joke that only Claire understands) and manages to get Claire in a headlock so Jack can smush the cupcake frosting he’d scraped off all over her face while she swears vengeance.

They sneak onto the nearest farm to hose each other off, during which Claire very nearly gets her revenge in a water fight until the farmer catches on and runs them off the property. They’re all breathing hard and laughing by the time they get back to their field, and they huddle under a horse blanket from the back of Jody’s truck while they watch their fireworks. It’s a good day.

Mammon sings in the shower

He thinks no one can hear him

however, everyone, in fact, is able to hear him

No one says anything though because his voice is actually amazing???

like duh they were all once angels, of course they’re all amazing singers

You definitely hear every one of them singing or humming a little tune every now and then

Beel has a super deep singing voice

that shit rumbles and it’s honestly hard not to be lulled by his voice

they low key (but not really) fight over who gets to sit next to you for movie nights

mammon is always quick to use his “I’m her first man” excuse, but that get’s old really quick

Lucifer and Satan are hella condescending about it and absolutely roast him

“N-NO! Why would I care about some dumb human?”

he fell asleep on you once when the both of you were hanging out in your room and woke up to the feeling of you running your hands through his hair

he’s so groggy he can’t find it in himself to muster up the tsundere act

he just nuzzles deeper into your hand

if Belphie finds you napping he is 10/10 times going to join you

You’re not “safe” napping alone anywhere that isn’t your room

so he just cuddles up next to you

at first this was especially shocking, not only to you but to the brothers as well but it soon became such an often occurrence that everyone stopped questioning it

partly because Belphie would never answer any questions, opting to just nonchalantly shuffle away

honestly it happens so often and you’ve grown so used to it that it’s more of a shock when you wake up and he isn’t there

is oddly protective of you

has a sixth sense whenever you’re in danger and will straight up materialize to scare away the threat by looming over them with his intimidating aura

asmo does everyone’s nails

asmo takes it upon himself to do their nails for them

the only other person who does it themselves is Levi, who paints his nails while binging long running shonen anime that only requires a part of his attention

they use gel nail polish so it dries quicker and doesn’t chip as easily

you’ve never had a better nail salon experience than at Asmodeous’s at Home Beauty Parlor

He does the hand massage and everything, but only for you

He’s had millennia to practice his craft so if course you’ll be getting the best of the best with asmo

Satan is a closet weeb

he probably stumbled across one of levi‘s TSL collection and decided to investigate and was immediately enthralled by the plot and the amazing artwork they held

now he regularly checks out manga from the library and pre pre-orders new upcoming series that catch his eye

his favorited genre is romance, but he also gravitates to magical girl series

make no mistake tho, if you find out somehow, he will have to kill you

please give them affection, none of them are used to it and once you start being casually affectionate with them they’re hooked almost immediately

Obv some are less receptive at first than others - satan, belphie, luci - but that’s okay just give them time

Asmo and Beel are the most comfy with affection and are willing to initiate majority of the time

Asmo always has an arm linked with yours whenever he’s next to you, at the least. He likes to hug you from behind and rest his chin on your shoulder so he can nuzzle into your neck to tickle you

Beel will casually pick you up for hugs, and hold you in his arms to make you safe. he also likes to hold your hand just ‘cause

Levi and Mammon want in on the action once they see beel an asmo being so touchy with you, but are definitely in denial about it for like, a week before they give in and stop being so wussy about it

mammon likes to throw an arm around your shoulders just so others stay away, bc you’re HIS human ofc. also likes it when you play with his hair as previously stated.

Levi is a little more shy about it, but loves it when you link pinkies or choose to sit next to him at the dining table and link ankles with him. He’s also hella smug when you lean on him but is also a blushing mess.

Satan, Luci, and Belphie (for obvious reasons) take the longest to warm up to affection. Satan is the first of the three to warm up to it - he loves reading with you cuddled up beside him. not necessarily on him, but with your sides pressed together as you each read your own book or whatever it is you’re doing while he reads

belphie is next, before lucifer surprisingly. this is kinda when he starts joining you for naps and you’re kinda too scared to question it. also seeks you out to use your thighs as a pillow bc they’re the softest

Luci’s heart kinda melts when he sees you being so close with his brothers. His affection is typically head pats that are more him gently and barely combing his fingers through your hair and tucking it behind your ear

The pouring rain was the only think keeping you awake as your rushed back into the house, wet hair sticking to your face and all your clothes glued to your skin.

Your first outing in nearly a month and you had regretted ever even leaving the house. The cold November rain made you feel as if your very core was frozen — a very rude awakening at this late hour of the morning.

You slammed your door shut behind you as if keeping out the rain demons, leaning back against it and sighing out in relief that you were finally in a dry environment.

You shrugged off your sticky rain jacket, not even bothering to dry it off so that the drops wouldn’t puddle onto the hardwood floors. You hung it up, tossing your rainboots to the side as well. You dropped the full grocery bag to the floor, planning on putting the stuff away once you had regained your energy.

The house was quite, which was no surprise. Ron was fast asleep when you left that morning. He probably hadn’t even noticed you were out, really. He’d probably lose his mind once he found out, but he couldn’t have stopped you while sleeping so it wasn’t your fault.

You tiptoed over to your room, spotting the familiar head of ginger hair still sound asleep, a smaller mop of ginger hair resting against his chest. Your heart swelled at the sight and you left the room, letting the two of them catch up on much deserved sleep.

After your son was born, about a month ago, Ron went into full defence mode. He didn’t let you leave the house, too worried that something would happen to you. Maybe it was paranoia from the war many years ago, or maybe just because his inner protective dad side was coming through, but you loved him for it anyways.

He loved your newborn unconditionally. The two of them were inseparable and Ron didn’t seem to complain one bit. You’d often find them snoozing on the couch in the late afternoons or watching telly together — Ron loved to watch your son’s face light up at the silly cartoons.

Being as quiet as humanly possible, you snuck into the kitchen and opened the fridge, beginning to put away the food you had just bought and taking some stuff out to make him some breakfast. For a month now, Ron had been doing all the house work — cooking, chores, laundry — you thought it was about time you worked up the energy and did something for him.

You took a few eggs out of the fridge, along with the bacon that you had just bought, and began making him the first meal of the day while hoping the smell wouldn’t wake him or the baby up. The pouring rain continued on outside, which was no longer a pain considering you were becoming drier by the second.

After you had beautifully arranged a little tray, pouring him a cup of tea as well, you began slowly walking back into the bedroom. You stared at them for a little while, a bright smile on your face at how cute they were together. But, alas, you didn’t want the breakfast to grow cold.

You walked to his side of the bed, placing the tray down on the window sill and kneeling next to the bed, placing a quick kiss on Ron’s nose.

He scrunched up his face, “Mmm.. mornin’, darling.”

You smiled down at him, lifting your hand to run it gently through his hair. The morning sunlight was streaming through the windows, illuminating his bright hair and the freckles that were scattered faintly across his cheeks.

“Morning,” you smiled, “Made you breakfast.”

“Ah, I thought I smelled something,” he chuckled quietly, lifting both of his hands to place them on the sleeping baby still dozed off on his chest, “I can’t bring myself to wake him.”

You stood up and placed your hands around your son, “I’ll take him.” You lifted him off of Ron’s chest and cradled him in your arms, his big brown eyes waking up to look at you, “Hey, Ollie.”

Ron had fallen in love with the name Oliver — and luckily, you had too. When your son was born, there was no doubt in your mind that the name Oliver would suit him perfectly.

He fussed slightly, letting out a small cry before readjusting himself and resting his tiny head against your chest. Ron grinned at the two of you, standing up to grab the tray and sitting back down in bed.

“Come join me,” he pat your spot on the bed, lifting the covers a bit so you could come join him. You happily obliged, carefully sitting down without causing distress to your sleeping son.

“Thank you for this,” he motioned to the food, “Still love spoiling you more, though.”

“You always spoil me,” you replied with a grin, “Don’t know what I did to deserve it.”

He gave you a look of mock shock, “Don’t know what you did? Blimey, woman. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Don’t be pretending you’re not.”

Resting your head against his shoulder and letting out a laugh, you nodded, “Fine, as long as you also know you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Both of you are.” You gazed down at your son, his eyes shut and his mouth hanging open. He had so many of his father’s features and you couldn’t help but beam with pride. If he had his father’s personality as well — his drive, his passion, dedication, loyalty — you’d be the proudest mum there ever was.

Ron stuck out his hand, holding a piece of bacon. You gladly accepted it with your teeth, enjoying the savoury flavour and suddenly wondering why you hadn’t made breakfast for yourself.

“Where’d you get the eggs? Could have sworn we were out,” Ron looked at you with furrowed eyebrows.

“We were,” you nodded, “I went to the grocery store this morning.”

He stared blankly at you, “You didn’t — Y/N, I told you not to go out there. You just had a baby, you need to rest up. Besides, I can hear the heavy rain hitting the roof. It’s miserable outside.”

You gave him a soft smile, “I know, Ron. But I was getting bored all cooped up. You’ve been doing everything, I wanted to do something for you.”

“And I appreciate it, darling, don’t get me wrong,” his eyes softened and he looked between you and Ollie, “I just worry about you. All the time.”

“I know, love,” you leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to his cheek, “If it makes you feel better, I did bring my wand.”

He pursed his lips and nodded his head, “Makes me feel a little better. But still. Next time, if you want to leave, we’ll go together, yeah?”

“Yes, Ron, we’ll go together,” you said slowly, like a child repeating orders from their parents. He seemed to accept your answer, though, for he went back to eating his breakfast, feeding you as well considering your stomach had begun to grumble loudly.

After you guys finished eating, you stood up and placed the still-sleeping baby in his crib, trying your best not to wake him as he looked incredibly peaceful. You smiled down at him before leaving the room and following Ron to the kitchen.

With a flick of his wand, the dishes were clean and began to float back to the cabinets where they belonged. You had barely had the chance to stand by his side before the cleaning had been done.

“Well, now we’ve got a whole morning of nothing to do,” he grinned, spinning around and wrapping his arms around you, pulling you flush to his warm body.

You lifted your hands and tamed his hair, “Wanna cuddle on the couch?”

“Of course. ‘S like you read my mind,” he smirked, pressing a kiss to your forehead and leading you to the couch, the two of you flipping down with you landing on top of him.

“Accio blanket,” you mumbled, the blanket from the other couch zooming over and enveloping the two of you in comfortable warmth.

Now comfortable and warm, you nuzzled your head into Ron’s chest, who had just turned on the telly to watch something about an upcoming football match — you were barely paying attention as you started zoning off in Ron’s arms.

“Go back to sleep, love,” he kissed the top of your head, rubbing his hand through your hair, “I’ll wake you up if there’s anything.”

“Mkay,” you mumbled, wrapping your arms around his torso, “Love you.”

The heavy rain nearly drowned out his words as he whispered back, “Love you too. To the ends of the earth.”

It was a cloudy day, perfect for students as they walked around aimlessly at the grounds before the anticipated quidditch match between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff started.

Hueningkai, the Hufflepuff seeker, should have been making his way down to the Quidditch Pitch.

That’s why Y/N was so confused why they chose to be up in the owlery—laughing maniacally at her in amusement.

“Why are you even here?” She whined, clutching her letter to her chest.

“Well, I was curious why you weren’t in the stands to cheer me and Taehyun on,” Kai grinned, wiggling his eyebrows in a teasing manner. “Clearly, you’re more interested in sending a letter to a certain Slytherin,”

Kai laughed again, dogding a flying shoe courtesy of the girl.

“Good aim, want me to train you for Chaser?” Kai said nonchalantly, walking closer to the owls.

“No, thank you. Shouldn’t you be down at the pitch?” Y/N sighed in irritation, clutching the letter closer to her as he scooted closer—his eyes trained on the small envelope.

“Not going without you,” Kai snorted, crossing his arms. “What did you even say in the letter?”

“I’m going to confess—tonight at the Astronomy tower,” Y/N declared firmly, before burning red again as she shot Kai a small pout. “Do you think he’ll like me.”

Kai only gave her a small smile.

“He’d be stupid if he didn’t,” Kai grinned, gesturing his head over to the envelope. “Now, come on. Send that off and let’s go, we have a match.”

Y/N huffed, raising the envelope to Beomgyu’s owl—watching as it opened its wings and flew off to drop the anonymous envelope to Beomgyu.

It’s been a year, huh? Can we meet at the astronomy tower at midnight? I have something to ask you about the Yule Ball in a few weeks. -your admirer.

Y/N has always been around Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Kai for as long as she can remember.

Growing up, the five boys were practically hounding at her every day.

Soobin was her older brother, the perfect brother one can have—doting but not too overbearing, talented and charming, smart but can be airheaded most times.

It was through him that she met Yeonjun, his soon-to-be best friend and new next-door-neighbor.

Of course, that automatically meant meeting Yeonjun’s little brother, Beomgyu.

The mischievous pest warmed up really quickly to her—what with their mutual desire to torture their older brothers with endless pranks.

Then, they met Taehyun and Hueningkai through their parents.

Kai’s mother and Taehyun’s father were good friends with their parents, as well as Yeonjun’s and Beomgyu’s.

Of course, a reunion between old friends means a meeting between their children—and the moment Y/N met Kai she swore she found her other half.

Platonically speaking.

Sure, Taehyun and Beomgyu were so in sync with him, and Soobin and Yeonjun were just the perfect hyungs to be.

Y/N was different.

She was instantly hooked the first time he gave her the softest smile—introducing himself as “Hueningie” instead of his actual name of Kai and offering a cuddle of his plushie as a welcoming gift.

It wasn’t until they were around 10 years old when Y/N started realizing what love was—it was what she felt for her other best friend—Beomgyu.

Of course, Hueningkai knew this.

Of course, he didn’t say anything.

Even if he knew her love would hurt him in the long run.

Y/N rushed, hands shaking as she made her way up the Astronomy to finally tell Beomgyu how she’s felt for years.

She made sure she wouldn’t make him wait—going there thirty minutes before even the agreed time.

But it seems like someone beat her to the punch—two someones.

By the observation deck stood Beomgyu, cheeks burning red as he conversed with a short girl with long brown hair.

Lee Daeun—Slytherin, one of the prettiest in her house, and Beomgyu’s crush since freshman year.

He swore up and down that he grew out of his crush on her—obviously not with the way he blushed a bright red.

“This is you?” Beomgyu asked as he held a couple of envelopes in his hands—all love letters that Y/N herself wrote throughout the duration of the year.

“Yes,” Daeun replied shyly as she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. “I really liked you, Beomgyu, so I thought I should send you some letters,”

Beomgyu smiled softly.

“You do?”

“I do,”

“What did you want to ask me?” Beomgyu asked gently, hand reaching out to grab the girl’s.

“Will you take me to the Yule Ball, Beomie?” Daeun asked, using Kai’s childhood nickname that only Y/N was allowed to use.

Instead of bringing that up, Beomgyu’s eyes brightened up as his smile widened even more.

As Y/N watched the scene from a the doorway, arms circled around her waist and a chin rested on her head.

“It’s okay,” Kai sighed, tightening his grip.

“What are you doing here?” Y/N asked, hand trailing down to grip his tightly.

Hueningkai buried his face in her hair, muttering as his eyes locked onto the scene in front of him—Daeun giggling non-stop as Beomgyu smiled brightly.

“I’m here to tease you,”

“Then tease me,” Y/N replied, voice wavering. “Tell me how stupid I am for falling in love with one of my best friends.”

“Falling in love with your best friend isn’t stupid,”

Y/N didn’t reply, watching as Beomgyu leaned forward and planted a kiss on Daeun’s lips.

Kai didn’t speak as Y/N turned around, burying her head in his chest and starting to cry.

He just tightened his grip on her.

“Falling in love with your best friend hurts, Kai,”

Kai smiled sadly.

“I know,” Kai said. “I know how it feels,”

There, four beating hearts stood underneath the same bright stars—nothing but the shining moon to witness the pain and heartache.

The next day, Kai sat next to Y/N and Soobin in the Gryffindor table—chewing happily on a pancake.

Mina, the Gryffindor prefect passed by.

“Aren’t you supposed to be at the Hufflepuff table?”

Kai only grinned.

Soobin, who was the other Gryffindor prefect, waved his hand nonchalantly.

“It’s nothing big,” Soobin replied, tearing into another piece of bread—continuing his statement with a mouthful. “People do it all the time,”

“I’m sorry—house divisions exist for a reason. Tables are separate for a reason and—“ Mina’s eyes hardened, mouth opening to argue more.

A body decked in an emerald green plopped down next to Soobin with a groan.

“It’s 7:00 AM on a Sunday, Mina,” Yeonjun glared. “Literally take that stick out of your arse and leave us alone,”

“A Slytherin—“

“Leave or I’ll tell Professor Binns you cheated on your History of Magic exam yesterday, Ms. Prefect,” Yeonjun hissed, effectively shutting down the girl.

After Mina huffed and marched away, Yeonjun rolled his eyes.

“Good morning,”

Soobin greeted back—mouth still full of bread loaves—while Hueningkai waved.

Y/N just gave a weak smile.

“Why are you here?” Soobin asked once he swallowed down his food.

Taehyun arrived, sitting down next to Hueningkai—his blue robes standing out.

“Is it because Beomgyu and his new girlfriend are getting too disgusting?” Taehyun asked, reaching out to take a slice of meat from the serving plate in front of Hueningkai.

“It’s 7 in the morning—I have no patience for that crap—“ Yeonjun said, before raising his voice. “Or you, Mina—shut it!”

Soobin continued chewing, eyebrows furrowing inquisitively.

“Wait,” Soobin tilted his head. “He has a girlfriend now?”

“Yeah, Lee Daeun,” Yeonjun grumbled.

“But—“ Soobin started, is eyes falling on his sister. “Oh, so that’s why.”

“Can we not talk about this?” Y/N asked.

“Talk about what?” Beomgyu’s voice asked as he appeared behind them, hands on Y/N’s shoulders happily.

“Nothing,” Kai grumbled as Beomgyu raised an eyebrow.

“Okay?” He laughed, hand tugging on the sheepish girl behind him. “Everyone, this is Daeun. My girlfriend.”

Y/N didn’t react, only continuing to poke with her food.

“Hi,” Yeonjun grumbled.

“How exactly did this happen?” Soobin piped up.

“Or when?” Taehyun added.

“Last night,” Beomgyu recalled happily. “Remember the letters I’ve been getting? It’s all her.”

Soobin and Yeonjun—who both found out about the letters—and Taehyun—who, much to the dismay of Kai, suggested Y/N do the letters—all widened their eyes to look at the Slytherin girl giggling next to Beomgyu.

“No, she isn’t,” Yeonjun said, pursing his lips at the glare Kai sent his way.

“I am,” Daeun said happily, giggling as she leaned on Beomgyu’s arm. “And now we’re dating and going to the Yule Ball,”

Before anyone could say anything, Y/N slammed her fork on the table and wiped her lips with a napkin.

“I’m not hungry anymore.” Y/N said.

Beomgyu furrowed her eyebrows.

“Y/N, you barely ate.”

“I lost my appetite.”

“But why—“

“That’s because anyone would lose their appetite with you and your girlfriend around, Choi,” a voice declared. “I would retch.”

Kai groaned, head slamming on the table in exasperation.

Soobin continued eating as Yeonjun started to mix a cup of coffee for him and Taehyun—invested in the scene in front of them.

Beomgyu’s eyes immediately darkened as he looked over at the approaching Gryffindor.

It was true—no matter how much a Slytherin or a Gryffindor liked each others’ houses, there’s always that one person from another house that they hate.

In Beomgyu’s case, that was Song Hanbin.

“I don’t recall you being part of the conversation,” Beomgyu quipped to which Hanbin only smirked.

“I don’t recall your friends inviting you over to eat with them,” Hanbin shot back.

“Technically, we invited no one—they just came on their own,” Soobin said, which was ignored.

“Anyways, Choi, don’t worry your pretty little head—I’m not here for you,” Hanbin said. “I’m here for Y/N.”

The said girl’s head shot up, along with Kai’s.

Hanbin turned, smiling over at Y/N.

“I think you’re really beautiful, and I’ve been admiring you from afar for years now,” Hanbin started.

At this point, Hueningkai’s eyes were wide open—a signal for help sent to his hyungs, who were the only ones who knew about his feelings for Y/N.

Granted, he felt weird that her older brother was so invested in his sister’s love affairs.

Soobin and Yeonjun only exchanged a look of panic, Taehyun next to them signalling a cut across his neck.

“Stop it now!” Taehyun mouthed.

“I think you’re a really smart, captivating girl,” Hanbin continued. “And I’d really like it if you went to the Yule Ball with me,”

At this point, Y/N’s eyes darted all over her friends’ faces.

Beomgyu was positively fuming while Hueningkai was burning bright red in panic.

“She’s not going with you,” Beomgyu replied for Y/N.

“Well, that’s not your choice, is it? Focus on your girlfriend.” Hanbin replied, mocking Beomgyu before Y/N spoke.

“I’m not going with you—“ Y/N said. “I’m going with Hueningie,”

At this, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Soobin and even Kai himself stopped—freezing as Y/N smiled over at Hanbin.

“Thank you, Hanbin. I’m flattered, but I’m already going as Kai’s date.”

“You are?” Kai squeaked as Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows.

“That’s unfortunate,” Hanbin smiled, shrugging as he backed away. “Better luck next time, eh?”

“Sure,” Y/N nodded, looking back at Kai.

“You’re going with me?” Kai said, a hopeful tone to his voice.

“Of course,” Y/N started, but was cut off by Beomgyu shaking his head.

“No, you’re not?” Beomgyu said, making Y/N turn to him.

“Why not?”

“You don’t like him, right?” Beomgyu said. “Why are you going on a dance with him?”

“None of your concern, Beomie, or maybe I should just call you Beomgyu.” Y/N sighed, standing up and sending an exasperated nod to a frozen Daeun.

“Huh?” Beomgyu asked.

“Have a nice day,” Y/N cracked a small smile as she nodded over to the couple.

As she left, Kai stood up—shooting Beomgyu an incredulous look.

“Next time, try to clarify who exactly you’re talking to and meeting,” Kai said. “Daeun didn’t send those letters.”

Kai left, following Y/N.

One by one, Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun took their leave.

Hogsmeade—the district next to Hogwarts where students frequent to do their purchases and spend on a whim during their stay in Hogwarts.

Soobin and Yeonjun—one of the most sought-after in the school—decided to play a prank on their admirers by going to the ball together.

When offered to buy dress robes together, Yeonjun and Soobin refused to go with Kai and Y/N, choosing to go to instead head to the Shrieking Shack (which the both of them have seen a couple of times already, but still frequent to scare the innocent students looking at it for the first time).

Taehyun decided to be a lone wolf—stating that he’d either leave early or make fun of people with Soobin and Yeonjun.

For dress robes, he said he made a promise to go with his Ravenclaw buddies.

No one has talked to Beomgyu since that day with Daeun.

All five promised to meet up at Three Broomsticks at exactly 7 in the evening. It was currently only 2 in the afternoon.

Kai and Y/N found themselves in Gladrag’s Wizardwear—only among the selected few who decided to go for dressrobes first.

Taehyun was already finished by the time they arrived—waving a goodbye and promising to be at Three Broomsticks.

“Yeonjun and Soobin are going to be stuck in line later,” Y/N said as she thumbed through the selection of dresses.

Kai, with arms already holding a brand new set of plain black dress robes, snorted.

“We did tell them to come with us,” Hueningkai said, eyes locking onto Y/N’s arms. “Will you be wearing all of these?”

“Trying out some of them, yeah,”

“I think you look really beautiful in blue,” Kai said, burning bright red when Y/N looked at him in shock. “Just—Just a suggestion,”

Y/N smiled softly.

“What about red?”

“I think you look beautiful in everything,” Kai said, coughing akwardly as he looked off to the side. “I just really like blue.”

“Okay,”

In the end, Y/N got a beautiful blue dress and they left the store with bags carried in Kai’s left hand, and Y/N holding the other.

Hands still tightly clutched in Hueningkai’s, Y/N pouted as she tried to choose what flavor of no-melt ice cream she would purchase for the day.

“Maybe mint chocolate?” Kai suggested making the girl wince, looking over at the boy who was already eating his own ice cream in the wretched flavor.

“That’s disgusting,” Y/N hissed, scrunching her nose up in disgust. “It’s like eating cold toothpaste.”

“No, it’s not!” Hueningkai argued, making the girl roll her eyes and settle on a flavor.

“Vanilla with Cookie Dough, please,” Y/N requested.

“That’s so boring,” Kai commented as Y/N received her own cup.

“You’re boring!” Y/N shot back.

With a grin, Hueningkai shoved a spoonful of mint chocolate ice cream in Y/N’s mouth—laughing maniacally.

Y/N whined as she pulled the spoon out.

“It tastes so weird,” Y/N groaned.

Hueningkai laughed as Y/N continued to whine, stopping when he saw Y/N’s lips with a small crumb of ice cream.

“Your—uh—“ Kai said. “You have um—“

“What?”

Kai didn’t reply, reaching out and brushing the corner of her lips.

Y/N’s eyes widened as Hueningkai blushed, brushing the crumb off of his hand.

“You had a—“ Hueningkai stopped, eyes locking with Y/N’s. “Something.”

Y/N didn’t speak, eyes searching his as Hueningkai started to lean down.

“Excuse me, are you guys still in line?”

Y/N flinched, stepping back in surprise as Hueningkai turned to a bored-looking Slytherin.

“Oh, uh, no,” Kai replied, hastily pulling Y/N out of the way. “Sorry,”

“Next time, make out somewhere more private than a sweets shop.”

Y/N blushed red as Hueningkai stammered.

Next to them, the ice cream clerk was smiling.

Y/N sat next to Hueningkai in Three Broomsticks—laughing loudly as Yeonjun and Soobin started to argue about some stupid things.

Taehyun smirked off at the side, chiming in every once in a while to aid either party to make the argument bigger and bigger.

Hueningkai and Y/N sat side by side, hands awfully close to one another.

The Hufflepuff breathed deeply, ready to grab Y/N’s hand and intertwine it with his before—

“Hi,” A voice greeted meekly, revealing a shy Slytherin walking up to the table.

“Beomgyu?” Y/N asked in surprise as Beomgyu stepped forward. “Where’s Daeun?”

Beomgyu pursed his lips, shaking his head.

Y/N’s eyes turned sympathetic, hand reaching out to land on Beomgyu’s arm.

“Beomie, it’s okay, you don’t deserve a liar,” Y/N said, smiling.

Beomgyu only smiled, squeezing her hand on his arm.

“Will you meet me at the Astronomy Tower tonight, then?”

Y/N chuckled.

“Sure, if you sit down and eat right now.” Y/N smiled back.

Yeonjun snorted, resuming his argument with Soobin.

Beomgyu smiled and took a seat next to Y/N.

At the side, Hueningkai retracted his hand next to Y/N’s.

He’ll probably have to stay with Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun for the Yule Ball.

Y/N reached the top of the Astronomy Tower, smiling slightly at the sight of Beomgyu sitting on the ledge of the observation deck.

“Hey,”

“Hi,” Beomgyu replied, still looking up at the stars.

“Just you?” Y/N asked, making Beomgyu laughed as he glanced over at her.

“I promise—no Daeun this time,” Beomgyu said, patting the spot next to him. “Sit.”

“What if I fall?”

“I won’t let you,” Beomgyu smiled, hand steadying the girl as she plopped on the spot next to the boy.

There was a beat of silence before Beomgyu sighed.

“This is how it should have been,” He started, eyes drifting towards Y/N. “Isn’t it?”

Y/N only hummed, chuckling softly.

“Maybe, but things happen.”

Beomgyu smiled, raising an eyebrow.

“So you made me all those letters, huh?”

Y/N winced, shrugging.

“Yeah, blame Taehyun.”

“Oh, I will,” Beomgyu snorted. “He told me you didn’t like me,”

Y/N laughed, looking at Beomgyu. “Well, I told him to.”

Beomgyu only sighed, smiling as he combed a hand through her hair.

“I liked you, Y/N, I always have.” Beomgyu said. “If it was you, and not Daeun, that I met up here that night, it would have been you and me,”

“I was up here, that night,” Y/N shared, shaking her head. “I saw what happened—how she told you it was her and everything.”

“And the kiss?”

“Yeah,”

Beomgyu winced, making Y/N chuckle.

“It’s fine, you know. I had Kai—he followed me,” Y/N explained.

Beomgyu nodded, hand taking hers.

“You know, Y/N,” Beomgyu said. “If you asked me now, I’d say yes.”

Y/N smiled softly—the past few weeks rolling around in her brain.

The one person who cared about her enough to follow her every step of the way, who was there when she got hurt that night.

The one who was there to pick up the pieces and side with her throughout all this time.

The one who always hid in the shadows and backed off when Y/N decided that, no, she wanted to be with Beomgyu instead of him.

She stayed silent, only looking up at Beomgyu who grinned understandingly.

“Yeah, okay,” Beomgyu laughed, making Y/N smile in relief. “So, you don’t like me anymore?”

“Oh, I do,” Y/N laughed. “You’re my best friend, Beomie—I’ll always like you,”

“But?” “Not as much as I used to,” Y/N snorted.

Beomgyu raised an eyebrow as Y/N fiddled with her fingers.

“There’s someone else.”

“Oh?”

“I, uh, realized I always liked him—I just never knew.” Y/N explained, groaning at Beomgyu’s teasing smirk. “Shut up, Choi.”

“I didn’t say anything!”

“I know you’re thinking it!”

Beomgyu laughed shaking his head as he leaned back on his hands.

“In the back of my mid, I kind of always knew.” Beomgyu hummed, making Y/N sigh.

Beomgyu turned to his best friend, dusting his robes.

“Do you want me to walk you back to the Gryffindor tower?”

“I think I’ll stay for a bit.”

Beomgyu nodded, smiling and kissing her on the cheek.

“Good luck,” he said.

“Thank you,” Y/N muttered, eyes trained up as her heart felt a little lighter.

There she sat, under the shine of the stars—her heart admitting the words her heart always knew.

Hueningkai stammered as Beomgyu dragged him to the Gryffindor tower, straight from the entrance of the Hufflepuff dorms.

“Beomgyu, wh—“

Hueningkai fussed, successfully shaking the boy off of his arm by the entrance to the Gryffindor towers.

“Kau, where the hell were you?” Yeonjun whined.

Soobin only tilted his head inquisitively as Taehyun seemed unbothered.

“I was—I was planning to come to the Great Hall when the ball started—“

“You had a date,” Beomgyu hissed. “Dude, really?”

Kai furrowed his eyebrows.

“But—“ Kai stammered. “I thought you and her—“

“No, Kai,” Beomgyu sighed, an exasperated smile on his face.

“Oh,”

“Hueningie?”

Kai jumped in surprise, heads turning to Y/N as she exited the Gryffindor tower with a soft smile.

Hueningkai melted on the spot as he saw the blue dress Y/N had picked on their trip to Hogsmeade when he mentioned he liked blue.

He stammered on the spot as Y/N walked over.

Yeonjun and Soobin looked on in amusement, wiping fake tears off of their faces as they muttered about how “they grow up so fast,”

Taehyun and Beomgyu looked on proudly, chattering amongst themselves.

“You look beautiful tonight,” Hueningkai started as he offered out his arm, scrunching his face. “I meant you look beautiful every night, but especially tonight—I—“

“Thanks, Kai,” Y/N smiled, looping her arm through his. “You look beautiful too.”

He only smiled.

A swirl of colors mixed on the dance floor.

Laughter and excitement filled the Great Hall.

By the buffet table, Yeonjun and Soobin fought over the last piece of loaved bread.

Taehyun and Beomgyu idly conversed in a nearby table.

Kai and Y/N awkwardly held hands, slow-dancing upon the insistence of Beomgyu and Taehyun. (Yeonjun and Soobin actually couldn’t be bothered because they were more concerned with the food table.)

Kai coughed softly, blushing a bright red as Y/N smiled in amusement.

“Are you feeling weird?” Y/N asked making Hueningkai shake his head.

“No, I’m okay,”

“You feel awkward?” Y/N laughed as Kai shook his head. “Come on, let’s go out,”

Kai breathed heavily as Y/N pulled him away, her eyes locking with Beomgyu who shot her a thumbs up.

Hueningkai burned a bright red as they exited the Great Hall and made their way to the Black Lake.

“What, are you drowning me today?” Kai teased as he sat by the shoreline.

Y/N snorted, tilting her head.

“Yeah, probably,” Y/N grinned, about to take a seat if it wasn’t for Hueningkai gasping.

“Wait, no—“

Hueningkai pulled off his dress robes and set it on the ground.

Y/N shot him a tiny smile and sat, arms wrapping around her knees.

“So,” Hueningkai said, pursing his lips as Y/N glanced up at the bright moon.

“Remember how we used to look up at the night sky when we were kids?” Y/N asked, making Kai laugh.

“Yeah,” Kai snorted. “I remember we used to say we’d run away with Beomgyu, Taehyun, Soobin and Yeonjun on broomsticks and live off of Chocolate Frogs and Licorice Wands,”

“Simpler times,” Y/N smiled. “That was before I had a crush on Beomgyu.”

At the mention of the older Slytherin, Hueningkai practically deflated on the spot.

He looked back up at the night sky, eyes trailing over at the moon.

“I think I’m like the stars,” Hueningkai said.

“Hm?”

“I’m always there, always shining and waiting for someone to see me—but I always get ignored for the moon,” Hueningkai explained, a penchant look on his face as Y/N turned to him. “but even if I am, I’ll stay there—waiting for that one shot to be seen, even if it’s the time I fall,”

Y/N didn’t reply, leaning her head on her knees as Kai continued to rant.

“I-I—“ Kai said, looking back down at the girl. “I’m a star just waiting for you to see me,”

Y/N smiled softly as Kai continued.

“Y/N, I like you,” Kai breathed heavily, almost as if relieved he spoke the words. “I’ve been holding this back for years and now it’s out. I like you.”

Y/N straightened up, smiling widely.

“Really?”

“Really, and it feels so light to say it—wow. I mean I know you like Beomgyu, and by all the means go for him, but I just really want to admit it and—“

Courage is one of the qualities encompassed by a Gryffindor.

It took great courage for Y/N to lean forward to plant a quick kiss on Hueningkai’s lips.

Kai stopped his rambling, eyes wide as he looked over at Y/N.

His first kiss.

Y/N pulled away, smiling shyly as she looked back up.

“Yeah, yeah,” She scoffed lightheartedly. “I like you, too.”

Hueningkai blinked, hand creeping up to touch his lips.

“You-You kissed me?”

“Shut up,” Y/N snorted, burning bright red in embarrassment. “It was my first kiss too, you know,”

Hueningkai’s smile slowly appeared, widening rapidly as he relaxed in his seat.

Y/N shifted, leaning over to rest her head on his shoulders.

“The stars look beautiful tonight—“ Y/N said. “Brighter than the moon, even.”

Hueningkai only smiled, turning his head to the side as he laid another soft kiss on her lips underneath the blanket of the brightest stars.
