Biking is accessible movement
Biking is a very accessible mode of transportation and way to exercise, however I think a lot of people don't know that, since there are a lot of countries, who don't have the right infrastructure (which is sad). So, this post is me showing y'all how biking is very accessible.
I am writing this from the perspective of someone with mild chronic pain, so I don't know the ins and outs, I have just seen all these bikes around on the streets, because here in the Netherlands they are very prevelant. I do want to say that biking is far easier on my joints than walking, except the knees, even with my unmodified bike.
An accessability feature that is not the bike itself, but often seen in traffic are the signs for hard of hearing people, which can be attached to the back of the bike to let others know that the person won't respond to audible traffic cues and to be careful.
Tumblr media
1. Not having the muscle mass or lung capacity for intense exercise
Electrical bikes used to be mostly associated with senior citizens, however in recent years it has become more popular with high schoolers, who have to bike long distances to school or adults, who don't want to arrive sweaty at work. They can either assist you or do the biking for you. Normal electric bikes can go up to 30 km/h, but the recently popular fatbike can go up to 60 km/h (which is a hazard and should be regulated, but I digress). Every bike type that follows after can be an eletric bike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Needing back support
Of course not everyone can sit on a bike, whose seating gives no support and for those there are lying bikes. Though being able to get up and down from a pretty low seat, which is less.
Tumblr media
3. Not having the balance for biking
One big thing with bikes is balancing, which is something I struggle with (shout out to physical therapy for helping with that). Once I'm on the bike it is easier for me, but I struggled a lot with getting on and off the bike for a while as well as balancing in general, so I had training wheels for a lot longer than most of my peers.
Luckily, there are a lot of options for people who have bad balance or for whom getting on and off a bike would be more of a struggle. A fatbike already makes for easier balance, however for more aid you have tricycles for adults, which are pretty common. And an extra wheel can also be put on a lying bike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Mental disabilities that limit safe independence in traffic
Not everyone can be in traffic unsupervised due to mental disabilities or brain damage, so not everyone can bike on their own. However, there are many ways to bike while having someone there for safety.
A tandem might seem like a gimmick to some, but it can allow someone to bike without needing to take into account all the moving traffic. And the dubble bike, which is more often used as a fun thing for tourist to explore a city while being able to chat, can provide the same for those with bad balance. If the person in question is smaller than the person supervising, such as a child or little person, than there is also a bike attachment for any bike with a luggage carrier.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. Using a mobility aid
A lot of people think that you can't bike when using a mobility aid, however biking is not the same as walking, so should your body allow it, biking is possible.
If a person uses a cane or crutches there are ways to hold them in place. A walker can also be attached to the back if it is foldable. If a person is in a wheelchair (depending on what kind) then a hand bike is an option, which allows for higher speeds than moving regularly, while not taking more energy. A person with a wheelchair can also be transported with a bike, if they are not able to move through traffic independently (i have been informed that this is for kids, so thank you for that addition).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Lifestyle makes it more difficult to bike
Some people can ride a bike, but aren't able of biking, because they have kids, pets or need to move more stuff. However, there are ways to still use a bike in those circumstances. Popular among people in busy cities with more than one kid is a cargo bike. A cargo bike is also avaible with three wheels for extra balance and both can be electric. For pet owners the trailer is more popular, since a pet cannot jump out of it, though I've also seen plenty of babies and toddlers in them. Both these options can naturally also hold stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course I totally understand that not everyone is able to bike and that not everywhere there is the infrastructure necessary. I am just passionate about it and I think that a lot of people might not realize that biking can be more accessible than it is often portrayed. I might have missed something, so feel free to add if you find anything and I would love to hear thoughts or just reactions :D

Why do I feel like Oscar is intentionally keeping Lando at a distance because he assumes it would never work out? And Lando kind of wishes Oscar would show an interest but he isn't so Lando pulls back too? Maybe I'm totally crazy but feels like they're doing a double fake out. If not then why not just be friendly the way they are with other guys?
@twinkodium helped talk me through this ask so a huge thank you to her <3
gonna put below a cut and include some other asks that aren't necessarily of interest to everyone and are kind of in the same vein (note the tag)
okay so "why not just be friendly like they are with other guys" is a pretty good thing to focus on bc when you actually break it down, Lando and Oscar define themselves as being pretty shy and they conceal a fair amount their lives and closest friends from the public. and truth is that it seems to take both of them at least a year of knowing someone before they open up - and even longer before they're as friendly as we see them with guys like Logan, Zhou, Carlos or Daniel. Lando lists the guys he's known since as far back as karting as his closest friends. so after just one season together, what we already have in terms of friendliness between Lando and Oscar is pretty damn good!
but honestly we can't say that either of them are really holding back at all when we've got Andrea and Zak constantly emphasizing how in sync they are and then of course how big they both show up for each other's wins/poles etc. whatever we don't get in terms of fun fandom content, we've got them showing each other mutual respect and support and sharing the same priorities. that's... really good imo.
it's what cracks me up abt everyone who went all 'planetf1 angry white dad in oakleys selfie in a truck comment section' over that recent Oscar quote. Lando's literally had everyone saying the same thing to him, directly and on social media ?? did they also decide that Martin Brundle, Natalie Pinkham, Lawrence Barretto and Jenson Button all despise Lando and want to take swipes at him by saying that his public flagellation feels of no use and worse, that it's probably a hindrance to his mindset? did Lando suddenly became loathed by all these people who SEEM to openly like or love him bc they said that ??
or did they expect Oscar to respond to that question with "oh no yeah it's cool that my teammate who I actually like shits all over himself and gives his haters ammo y'know to each their own whatever man" bc that WOULD actually be incredibly cold and hurtful asgajsgfljasf
I know fandom can go way off track and start expecting these men to talk like fan fic but the truth is that they view each other as professionals and fellow drivers first and friends (if they are) second. I won't repeat myself bc I've posted about it enough but none of the grid are a significant part of Lando or Oscar's life outside F1. Lando and Martin did a stopover in Perth (and apparently Martin even had work there?) for one day to ride dirt bikes at Daniel's ranch and Lando went to Carlos' sisters' gigantic state wedding lol. doesn't compare at all compared to Lando's time spent with Max F, the quadrant folks, his family, his Monaco friends and definitely not Martin Garrix. it also doesn't mean that they're not still friends with those guys on the grid - it's just not the same.
so the fact that Lando and Oscar aren't out here dishing out bromancey stuff where fans can see and hear definitely doesn't say that those bromances mean the drivers are actually any closer. Oscar relied on extroverts like Robert and Arthur to give him something to play off and Lando relied on Carlos and Daniel for the same. so when they're left without a gobby extrovert they do that cute thing of giggling and handing back and forth to each other. to me personally it's always kind of sweet ?? that Lando and Oscar do the thing of looking at each other for support to get through the cringey and awkward to camera stuff. sometimes when Lando is really feeling himself Oscar can just kick back and watch him. and as we saw w that helmet design video, even when Oscar isn't filming w Lando he hangs around offers support.
wow apparently I cannot stay on track today anon but idk I just personally think that it's the opposite of a mutual fakeout and they've bonded pretty well over both being shy, both being equally focused on their careers and also needing to switch off sometimes. finding out they spent the night after Lando's crash in Vegas together sharing "commiserations" is like, one in a long list of us hearing that they chose to hang out alone together and not publicize it.
all of us are on the outside of their friendship and as much as that suuuuucks for not getting as much content as we want, it's also really sweet and kind more likely to be genuine and lasting since they consider a lot of that relationship as private <3
Tumblr media
askgfka no prob!! tbh a lot of the stress and anxiety in other Lando ships is down to ppl getting way too comfy w the idea that real life partners either aren't "real" or that they're the only thing standing in the way of their ship becoming real.
and bc for some reason landoscar makes me want to write all of these essays I feel like it's kind of my responsibility to be like yeah, there's even more than just assuming ppl's sexualities and their real life partners stand between two ppl we like to imagine together actually getting together. rpf is heavy on the f and mostly what we're all actually enjoying are friendships. and as someone who is lucky to have them, I personally wouldn't be one of those ppl who said romantic partners and friendships are on some sliding scale of importance. they're just different!
ever since landoscar became a thing, Lily's been in Oscar's life and Lando's been pursued by every man who sees him and burning through baddies on Raya on a literal global scale. it's important to come back from rpf to that fact so we don't end up attraction those legions of people calling real life girlfriends "PR beards" or that Lando's dating app horniness is some front for him meeting up with Carlos or Daniel or whoever lol.
Tumblr media
oh I am so not the person to answer abt this since I can't relate to wanting couples to get married or thinking that it's all that significant! I'm a huge romantic and I theoretically enjoy the idea of weddings/marriage but all the ppl I know who've gotten married out of college are already regretting or cheating it so it's put a real damper on it for me.
but that's as much as I want to speculate abt them bc I don't want to put anything out in the universe for ppl I'll never even know !!

2024: weeks 36 through 38
here are some things i had thrown into a note
beetlejuice beetlejuice (2024). cute! enjoyable but not mindblowing, but representative of a the middle class of films that no longer exists and which i miss dearly.
corridors of power (bbc, 2024). i'm still making my way through it, but if you're excited by seeing formerly powerful people say absolutely batshit crazy things about the exercise of that power, this might be for you too.
maria abramovich's this or that for GQ germany.
and now: LONDON (a chronological series of happenings)
airplanes: still miserable. i do think that we need to rethink international airtravel, because 23 hours in a plane is just ridiculous. nonetheless, in keeping with tradition, i had a pretty good 8-9 hours sleep, which i measured by having hotd on and every few hours waking up to wonder what all the screaming was about.
immediately spent money on clothes: it could not be helped. i've been staying walking distance from brick lane and these things happen. now i own a levis jacket that's as old as i am that fits me perfectly, as god intended.
food: part 1. took my cousin, who is also in london on holiday rn, to dishoom, per literally everyone's recommendation. you were all entirely correct.
food: part 2. abuelo in marylebone, served me some vanilla fig jam on a plate of random other foods that was, without exaggeration, the most delicious thing i have ever eaten. i literally asked if i could buy a jar. i could not, and i will feel sad about this for the rest of my life.
punished for the crime of being interested in a crime: the british museum. the parthenon room was closed, so what even was the point. anyway, i was generally unimpressed, with some exceptions (who amongst us is not moved by the existence of the rosetta stone, also a very good prints and drawings exhibition). but also my god, would it kill them to install some aircon (a sentiment i have felt applies to almost everywhere i have been in london thus far)?
very far away: kingsmeadow. opening week for my beloved chelsea, i could have wept from happiness. sat next to a local woman and her husband who come every week and talk about the team like they are each girl's parents and biggest stans, and it was entirely perfect.
did i mention: CHAPPELL FUCKING ROAN. yes, i queued for like five hours. i was 68th in the priority queue, which is behind the vips but in front of everyone else. all i did to get in that queue was buy an o2 sim card for £20, which i needed anyway. it was fun, everyone made friends, you could come and go as you pleased and we all made sure everyone got their spot back even as we were repeatedly shuffled up the side street behind the brixton o2. it was nice and wholesome and exactly what you would expect from the 99% of people who aren't assholes and also into this lovely woman. the rest is just a blur of askldhjalsk. objectively, she's not the best performer going right now, the show's not overly produced beyond a set list of songs and a bit of banter, and absolutely none of that matters in the face of how quietly charismatic she is and the absolutely insane set of pipes she's got. it was fucking intense, man. zero regrets about the time and money (oh my god, the money) it took to make this happen, delighted to have corrected my grievous mistake of choosing not to go to her show in melbourne last year.
i don't think my insurance covers this: ebiking across north and east london. first attempt was, uh. ill conceived, and i will never recover from seeing my phone go flying in one direction into the street as i went skidding along in the wet, still in the bike lane. phone's fine, i'm fine, not sure why i decided today was the day to ride a bike for the first time in 15 years. second attempt went much better.
sportsball 2: this time bigger! like the absolute turncoat that i am, i also went to arsenal's opener at emirates with 40k other people. sat next to a woman with her 13 year old daughter who come every few months and who noted early on, pointedly, that it was unfortunate we weren't sitting on the other corner, where we would have been closer to the WAGs. love this mum for this kid.
food: part 3. i just ate the most delicious burger i've ever eaten, wtf???
coming up: i fought a battle with booking.com, and i won, and tomorrow i'm off down the south coast for a few days. LA's roads didn't kill me, but london's might.

JACOB BUTCHER ( CORTEON MOORE ) is a TWENTY-EIGHT year-old TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER in NEW DELHI, INDIA. They were brought under Richard’s care when they were only TWENTY-EIGHT years old. They are known as THE CHARMER because they are EASY-GOING but also AVOIDANT.
BASIC INFORMATION
Full Name: Jacob Anthony Butcher
Nickname(s): Mostly just goes by 'Butcher' but JB and J are not uncommon
Date of Birth: May 15th 1976
Age: 28
Occupation: Travel Photographer (Travel enthusiast in general and extreme sports participator/admirer)
Current Residence: He was in Australia before deciding to make a stop at New Delhi on his way back to Woodrow, however he staid in India longer than he originally planned due to fun and work colliding a little too well.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
Hair: Curly, frizzy, untrimmed atm
Eyes: Light brown
Height: 5'9
Notable Features: Vitiligo over his hands, and barely noticeable by his right eye and bottom right of his chin. Scars all over his body acquired through sports and travel, a dashing smile of course...
PERSONALITY & BEHAVIOR:
Strengths: Determined when intrigued, loyal to a fault, charismatic
Weaknesses:Lonely, avoidant and lets his own stubbornness get in the way of things
Quirks: Rubs the back of his neck when nervous, left eyebrow raises and does a little twitch whenever he's lying (only a few of the wards are actually aware of this -- he, himself, is not)
Vices: Will try anything that seems 'exciting' to him, no matter how dangerous. Smokes cigarettes and occasionally does drugs. Rarely drinks.
INTEREST & HOBBIES:
Interests: Jacob has had a plethora of interests since childhood. From reading and acting out fantasy novels, to creating his own stories. From riding a bike, to quickly becoming interested in driving a helicopter. Driving, diving, surfing, parachuting, climbing, name a sport or an activity and he has likely tried it. His interests are heavy on the 'outdoors' and learning new things or polishing old skills.
Hobbies: Although he's a very physically active person, and those would certainly include most of his hobbies. Jacob finds that his 'relaxing' time is where his genuine hobbies truly flourish. He writes fantasy a lot, often inspired by his real experiences, and he is a photographer professionally, always pushing himself further to capture beautiful things on camera. He is hoping to collaborate with National Geographic in the future, but he has never told Richard about it out of fear that the old man would try and pull more strings for him. Besides those two hobbies, he also enjoys cooking and pottery a considerable amount.
Special Skills/Talents: He's actually got a lot of these due to his constant participation in weird and extreme sports. Perhaps the biggest skill/talent is staying alive.
BECOMING A WARD
Jacob has a very difficult time remembering much of his childhood. There are only few, very few vivid memories he held of his mother. Of a yellow closet with drawings stuck on it. And fire, smell of fire late at night as the screams echoed in the distance. Whenever he would ask Richard about his past, about his parents, about circumstances which led him to Woodrow -- he was met with a dismissive response. "They couldn't take care of you boy, you're better off here." and that was as far as he'd ever get. Over the years, he had tried to pry more information out of the old man, but he was never successful. Even when he tried to take matters into his own hands, and seek answers outside of Richards little safety bubble -- he came up with nothing. There was no records of a 'Jacob Anthony Butcher' to be found. So he assumed his name had been changed. His family was either incapable or unwilling to take care of him, and he was to take life for what it was and live on. Move on. And let the questions of his childhood vanish.
LIFE AS A WARD
Jacob has always had a knack for people, a longing for life, for opportunities, for adventure. As a child, he would spend hours lost in fantasy worlds, imagining himself riding dragons - or slaying them. Roping other wards into playing soldiers or vampires or whatever his latest obsession would have been. He would go as far as to make his own stories, makeshift his own toys, skate and run and swim around the Woodrow grounds without a care in the world. It is his genuine nature to be easy-going about things in life, and that always made people drawn to him. Everybody likes good company, and Jacob just so happens to like everybody. There was never much others could do to put him off, because above all, Jacob truly believed, as he continues to believe, that people had their reasons. For the good things, the bad things, and everything in-between. And nothing, not a damn thing was ever personal. So he took no offence, and he adapted, he forgave, he did his best to be there for others. His loyalty was always easily acquired, but not quite as easily lost. All that said, Jacob still struggled growing up. Mostly with poor focus and hyperactivity, and he often felt 'dumb' when participating in lectures with other wards, or having to take extra classes even after school to catch up with them. It did take a toll on his confidence at a certain point in life, but he learnt to hide it behind a nice smile and a pretence of 'not caring' which worked out for him in the end. As a young ward he found most joy in simply hanging out with his peers, and even more in getting Mrs. Tristans forehead vein to pump rather visibly. As Jacob grew older, he didn't grow more serious. But he developed a dose of charm inspired by the confidence he gained through surrounding himself with others. He knew that people gravitated towards him, and he found comfort in always having company, in meeting new people, trying out new things. So when the time came to pursue further education, he instead devised a plan to travel. To see the world. To truly live. It may have taken Richard some (a lot of) convincing, but eventually he agreed to let the boy go. Ever since, he has hardly stopped. Always one foot out the door. Always looking for the next rush of adrenaline, next adventure. Although his charm gets him through a lot in life, and allows him to form deeper attachments, he is not the one to settle down. To dream of a house with a picket fence, a family, a single partner for the rest of his life. His spirit runs wild, and he's always in his happiest when he's on the go. Perhaps, a part of him wonders at times if he's truly in a state of constant movement due his deep love for it, or because he is perhaps running. One thing is certain, he is incapable of staying alone, of standing still, only what would he be trying to outrun? At the end of the day, the only thing he actually had, was himself.
AESTHETIC
Butcher is mostly dressed casual and somehow always covered in dirt. This is why he rarely invests in any expensive or formal clothes, they are certain to get ruined. Comfort is the key, whereas aesthetics are more of an after-thought. Still, he is often seen wearing a silver necklace, whose story of acquirement always changes when asked about. And he also tends to wear a braided bracelet one of his fellow wards had gifted him shortly after his arrival at Woodrow. It's the sentiment, of course, more than genuine liking for the bracelet itself. He owns two black suits, one for weddings and the other for funerals. And a few neat black shirts and tops to match a pair of his 'clean' jeans whenever he needs to dress up. Butcher's also particularly fond of his leather jacket which went through hell and back with him and somehow still holds up pretty well.
EDUCATION
Jacob chose to attend a public school after his primary education, but Richard wouldn't allow him to go private as he needed more effort and guidance with education then other kids due to his hyperactivity and lack of focus. This was also the first and the only time Jacob and Richard had a real argument. Following this, Butcher spent the next couple of weeks moping around the house and giving an unusual dose of attitude to anyone he came to contact with, but then got over it when Mrs. Tristan properly explained why it was all for the best in the end and how he will soon be done with school and off to pursue his dreams. Of course, she was right, and his focus was soon somewhere else. But once that the school truly ended, and it was time to head off to University, he used his lack of choice on the matter to further convince Richard to let him travel instead of continuing further education. Ever the academic, it was tough to convince Richard that this was the right path for him, so they agreed on somewhat of a 'gap year' at first, which eventually became full-time travelling and working on the go.
EXTRACURRICULARS
Jacob participated in any extracurricular he could get his hands on. Even the ones he wasn't particularly interested in. He just enjoyed spending time with other wards, so if they had an interest of their own and wanted someone to tag along -- he would happily do it.
THEIR LIFE NOW
He has been travelling, mostly. The longest he ever staid in one place was a year before moving on to his next adventure. Most recently, he had climbed Mt Everest, his lifelong dream, and after that he moved on to a semi-professional surfing competitions in Australia where he did quite well. He considered staying in Australia for a while, but decided to head back to Woodrow instead as it has been months since he last visited. On the way though, he stopped in India where the Krishna Janmashtami festival was just around the corner and decided to stay for a while as well. He was still in New Delhi when he heard of Richard's passing.

2022 holiday card
hi friends.
I've been feeling like i can approach tumblr from a healthier perspective lately, so
i thought I'd write you my version of like those family newsletters you get in holiday cards to keep everyone in the loop.
Uh, TW for like terrible mental health issues and sexual assault.
I last posted in October 2021, so to cover that bit as well...
that month i set my hair on fire over my stove and had to cut it up to my chest to get rid of all the singed bits. I was sad that my long long hair was gone, so I had my coworker shave me a raddddd undercut
In November 2021 i started seeing a few therapists after spending almost the entire year trying to get started with one and increasingly relying on friends and crisis lines to keep myself here. I settled on one therapist i really liked and still see him weekly.
In December, my coworker began sexually harassing me. It's still an issue and I no longer work with him one on one. Its brought up a lot of past trauma. My mum came to pick me up and bring me home for Christmas, but instead got COVID and had to quarantine in my studio apartment with me for three weeks. I didn't get COVID, but between that and the coworker stuff, i felt pretty traumatized by January. Thank God i got the therapist thing covered in november.
In January one of my coworkers quit, leading to a mass exodus over the course of the year. I'm so proud of my coworkers for pursuing new positions and getting out of this poorly run organization. My visa renewal application also began in January and was approved a few weeks ago, meaning i can stay in the country until 2025! And my employer has agreed to sponsor my green card app, after which I too am outta this place. I've learned a lot about distancing myself from work when the situation is so far from ideal. I also opened up to my closest coworkers about being queer, my history with sexual assault, and what had happened with our coworker in December (which continued into January), and we came up with a safety plan, plus i felt a lot closer to them.
in March i was still really struggling and my therapist recommended medication. I got a wonderful psychiatrist who gently introduced me to the appropriate drugs, not so gently introduced me to the pathological understanding of my mental illnesses. The first week I was on meds my best friend from undergrad came to visit for a week and we saw Tame Impala, which was incredible. Plus did a whole bunch of other fun stuff. I hadn't seen her since like... 2018? Despite the side effects of meds, being upset over my clinical evaluation, and overwhelmed at getting back into like going out in public and doing things, being able to wake up without immediately feeling suicidal was a huge relief.
April I went to Philadelphia TWICE in two weeks. Once to cheer J on in a half marathon and then with my coworker to a conference and sightseeing. I had really wonderful visits and can't believe I had never visited before then!!!
In May, my best friend from grad school and I rode the five boro bike tour. I made a goal at the beginning of the year to ride across the Tappan Zee Bridge and back, which is over 100km (aka a century ride) from my house. This was supposed to be one of my big rides to gear up for the century. This ride was not as fun as 2021, there were so many people and dangerous casual riders on the route, then we spent four and a half hours trying to get home cause the ferries we're overwhelmed. I had fun with my friend but I'm not so sure about next year.
In June i visited J's beach house after a gruelling exhibition schedule through May and June. i had a lovely time until i had a meltdown on the third day. I went to the beach in a binder for the first time and decided to just wear my board shorts instead of taking them off to swim, which was nice. J and our other friend began using they/them pronouns and my nicknames L and LG when they were talking with me in person, and it was super heartwarming and exciting to experience. It made me feel very special.
In July, i had my first appointment for HRT. They prescribed me testosterone right away, but it took around a month to get a response from my insurance, which denied the claim. I was crazy busy at work from August to the end of September and things really fell apart for me. I hired C as my freelancer to help on the exhibition be sure now there was so more staff left, which went really well. However, i stopped taking my meds and all of my good habits fell to the wayside.
In August i went back to Canada to photograph my uncle's wedding WITH COVID. My mum insisted that i travel even though I was sick and then didn't let me stay home for the wedding, because they had asked me to photograph it. It was really uncomfortable, but they were happy i got their wedding photos. Although, i still have not found time to edit and send them. Ugh.
In September i completed a 75 mile (100+ km) ride, meeting my goal of doing a century, but it wasn't to the bridge! i did it alone and it made me super depressed during and after the ride. I'm still evaluating what i want my relationship with cycling to be now, cause long rides by myself aren't really conducive to good feelings for me rn.
when the show at work opened in October, i went to J's parents' house for a Canadian thanksgiving/harvest feast weekend, met their dog, sister, and parents, and had ANOTHER meltdown. They told me they were dating someone--and it was incredibly upsetting, but i didn't know how to bring up my feelings about this. After my month off meds, i was a mess again. After this weekend though, i opened up to many more people because I felt like I needed to extend my support network.
I came out as trans to all my friends and close coworkers (mostly now former coworkers) in the city, let them know I use gender neutral pronouns, that I enjoy my nicknames, and that I was beginning HRT. I went to the pharmacy and got my prescription filled even though I had to pay out of pocket. I started testosterone on October 14th!! I cannot overstate how incredibly important this was to me. It felt like the most meaningful thing I've done for myself in my life. Coming out to people who i knew were safe helped me feel closer to them, and almost everyone was amazingly supportive about hrt.
In October i ALSO officiated my best friends' wedding. It was incredible, and really one of the best days of my life. Everyone in attendance was lovely. My speech and their vows went swimmingly. Everyone had so much fun and enjoyed ourselves into the early hours of the morning. My friends have the most wonderful community of people around them and I'm so glad I'm a part of their lives.
In November I got a new psychiatrist after my old one left the practice. She's ok, and urged me to get a primary care doc to begin keeping track of my blood work, so I'm building momentum for care in the new year. I scheduled an appt with a PCP at a queer-focused clinic in January. after a real scheduling snafu i got a follow up appointment for HRT in mid-December. I ended up missing two weeks of T because of this, which triggered a massive horrible period the day after my birthday. I missed two days of birthday celebrations, but the night out i did have with friends was pretty fun. Idk, i have mixed feelings about it.
things came to a head with J a couple weeks ago where they asked if I had romantic feelings for them, and when i affirmed that, they rejected me before i could say i didn't want to discuss it cause I couldn't handle the rejection in a healthy way. We haven't spoken since and I've been in a pretty bad place despite sticking to meds. However, I've been working through this stuff with my therapist since the incident in October and idk... learning about how fucked up i am is tough. I'm really sad about it all and still figuring out how to move forward.
I also tried to go to Canada for Christmas and couldn't because of the blizzard in buffalo, so I spent the holidays in my house again. at least my mum wasn't here this time.
I've been a little suicidal over the last couple of weeks even though I'm on meds, and only skipped a day recently. I skipped a few days right after the stuff with J happened and ended up going into withdrawal pretty bad, so I learned that lesson. So idk. I'm still trying to muddle through.
To end on a positive note, this morning i noticed that the hair around my belly button, the kind that like makes you the line down the centre of your torso, is getting darker. I feel a little bit scared but also excited. I love a lil bit of tummy fuzz and find it endearing that i can have some for myself. I've also gotten a bit more muscular just from the furniture lifting I do at work, and a few weeks ago I did planks for the first time without any shoulder pain since I injured it in 2012. I've picked a gym in my neighborhood to sign up for when i can get motivated to leave the house and return to strength training. One of the best things about being on T so far has been that it has virtually erased my chronic low body temp and reynauds symptoms, and is supposed to help alleviate my anemia, easy bruising, and PMS/PMDD (which have all been weakened but not yet eliminated). Like all this shit I've been told just sucks and I have to deal with is just disappearing. So eventually i can just be like, a person without symptoms of these conditions?!
Also, Fred and George are sliving. I found shelves on the street for them to climb way up high, and I started feeding the birds and squirrels from the windowsill. They love bouncing around the room and watching the backyard happenings.
I'm not sure I'm hopeful about the future yet cause things are still really hard, but I'm at least learning how to begin living on my own terms.

Father says we're gonna move to a new home in the spring
Spring is a funny time to choose to leave, it's the month of new beginnings
He says the move isn't just into a new neighborhood, he wants to move cities
He tells me to expand my map of the world, unlock a new area
As a kid I would go exploring, take my bike out and ride around the neighborhood
I'd mentally add to my mind map so I would never get lost, visit all those streets I'm not in
But this isn't adding to the map, it is expanding it, I have to find new routes
I'm no longer exploring for fun but out of necessity, I'm so used to never being lost
Father says we're going to move to a new home in the spring
I am no longer minutes away, I am hours, and it's hard enough to see my friends
It's my final year of highschool, my legacy is already built, I don't want to leave now
All my friends have lived and the distance of kilometers puts distance of time
I'm scared that my texts that appear every month will appear every year, or never at all
I don't see the people I want to see enough, we're all so busy, it's hard to meet up
Father says we're going to move into a new home in the spring
Spring is a new chapter, but I don't want to start over, try again
I hate the idea of having to open myself again as I am
It's hard enough to find people who get me the way my years of bonds have
I'll never find the same level of intimacy as them, all my plans are going to waste
They promise to go to prom, but I'm scared I'll be too far away
Father says we're moving into a new home in the spring

Are Mountain Bikes Good For Long Distance
Tumblr media
Hey there, I'm here to talk about mountain bikes and long distance riding. Whether you're an experienced rider looking for a new challenge or just starting out in the world of biking, this article is for you! Mountain biking has become increasingly popular over the past few years and it's no surprise why - its versatility makes it great for all kinds of terrain. But are they suitable for long-distance rides? In this article, we'll look at how mountain bikes stack up against other bike types when it comes to covering longer distances. So stick around to find out the answer!
The Benefits Of Mountain Biking
Mountain biking is becoming increasingly popular as a form of exercise and recreation, especially for those looking to take up an off-road sport. It's a great way to build skills like balance, agility, strength, and stamina while enjoying the outdoors. The terrain can be challenging but that just makes it more rewarding when you conquer it! One great benefit of mountain biking is the skill building opportunities. You'll learn how to handle turns, steep hills, obstacles like rocks and roots, mud pits and other hazardous surfaces with speed control techniques. With time, your bike handling will become second nature as you gain confidence in your abilities. Plus, this type of riding can help improve coordination since you have to think about what comes next on the trail. Plus, there's nothing quite like taking off on an adventure in the mountains or rolling through peaceful woods or along scenic trails full of wildlife - all from the comfort of your saddle! Mountain biking gives you access to places where few people get to explore and offers breathtaking views along the way. So if you're looking for a fun way to stay active and see some amazing sights then mountain biking could be perfect for you!
The Drawbacks Of Mountain Biking
Mountain biking can be a great way to get exercise and experience the outdoors, but it is not always ideal for long distance rides. For recreational riding, mountain bikes need specialized setup and adjustments that make them less than optimal for extended road trips. The design of modern mountain bikes does not lend itself well to the sustained speed of traditional touring. This means riders must take frequent breaks in order to rest from pedaling uphill or adjust the bike's components as needed. Additionally, most mountain bikes do not offer enough carrying capacity for supplies necessary on longer treks. All these drawbacks mean that while mountain biking is great for short jaunts, it may not provide the best option when undertaking a lengthy journey.
Gear Up For The Long Haul
I'm gearing up for a long haul and I'm wondering if mountain bikes are good for this. Essential gear for a long ride includes a comfortable seat, a reliable helmet, and plenty of water. Maintenance is also important, so I'm making sure to get my bike serviced before I go. Comfort is key, so I'm investing in good quality bike shorts and a handlebar bag for snacks and other items I may need. I'm also making sure to take regular breaks so I can stay comfortable throughout the ride. With all the gear and maintenance I'm doing, I'm confident that a mountain bike will be the perfect companion for my long journey. Essential Gear If you're looking to really get into long-distance mountain biking, then the right gear is essential. Bikepacking, for example, requires that you carry all your supplies and equipment with you on your bike so it's important to make sure you have the right bag systems and racks set up in order to keep everything safe and secure while also balancing weight distribution. Trail etiquette also plays a huge part when it comes to enjoying a successful ride; making sure to show respect to other trail users and taking only what photos or memories from nature without leaving any trace of having been there is key. Knowing how to be prepared before setting out can makes all the difference between an enjoyable experience and one filled with struggles. In conclusion, getting properly geared up for long distance mountain biking isn't just about bringing along essential items - it's also about understanding proper trail etiquette! Maintenance Once you've got the gear and etiquette down, it's time to think about maintenance for your long-distance mountain bike ride. Upgrading components of your bicycle is an important part of making sure that everything runs smoothly - from replacing worn out brakes or buying new tires, these small upgrades can make a big difference in how enjoyable your experience is! Also, don't forget about regular brake maintenance which should be done on a regular basis; after all, having working brakes is essential when biking any distance! It pays off to take the time to get familiar with simple do-it-yourself repairs such as changing inner tubes, fixing flats and lubricating parts like chains; while many people prefer taking their bikes into shops for more complex repair jobs, it's good to know at least some basic techniques so you're not left stranded if something goes wrong during your trip. In addition, carrying spare tools and extra supplies such as pump kits and multi-tools are also great items to have around just in case. At the end of the day, being prepared through proper maintenance before setting out will ensure that your journey remains comfortable and safe throughout its entirety. Comfort When you're gearing up for a long-distance mountain bike ride, it's important to remember that comfort is key. Rider positioning plays an important role in how comfortable your ride will be - making sure the handlebars and seat are adjusted correctly can go a long way towards avoiding pain or fatigue while on the trail. Additionally, having the right tire pressure can also make a huge difference; too much air pressure can lead to uncomfortable riding conditions whereas not enough air pressure may cause frequent flat tires. So take the time to adjust these components beforehand and make sure you have plenty of extra supplies like pumps just in case! With proper preparation, you'll feel more relaxed and prepared for whatever comes your way during your journey.
Preparing For Long-Distance Rides
When it comes to long-distance rides, mountain bikes are an excellent choice. Not only can they handle the rougher terrain you're likely to encounter on your journey, but also certain features of a mountain bike make them ideal for this kind of riding. First and foremost is the importance of getting a proper bike fit before setting off. A good fit helps ensure that you remain comfortable during those long hours in the saddle, so taking the time to get fitted properly will pay dividends down the line. Route planning is another important factor when preparing for a long-distance ride. Knowing where you’re going ahead of time allows you to prepare adequately for any potential challenges along the way, like rough patches or difficult climbs. It also gives you a better idea of how much food and supplies you'll need throughout your trip. You may even want to download maps or purchase printed versions so that you always have access if your phone dies or there's no service available. No matter what route you choose, having the right gear is essential for completing a successful long-distance ride on a mountain bike. With some preparation and due diligence, though, you can be sure to enjoy every minute of your adventure!
Safety Tips For Long-Distance Riding
I'm a big fan of mountain biking for long-distance rides. It's important to keep safety in mind when going on these excursions, however. Here are some tips for keeping yourself safe and having an enjoyable experience. First off, make sure you plan ahead with your nutrition needs before heading out. Hydration is key - bring plenty of water or electrolyte drinks to help prevent heat exhaustion while riding through hot climates. You may also want to bring energy bars or other snacks that will provide sustained energy over the course of your ride. Secondly, be aware of the terrain you'll be traversing during your journey! Be mindful of potential hazards like rocks, roots and bumps along the trail, as well as changes in elevation and weather conditions. Make sure you research what type of bike would best suit the area you're riding in beforehand so you don't find yourself stuck without appropriate equipment mid-ride. Finally, always wear protective gear like a helmet and pads when engaging in any kind of cycling activity - this goes double for longer rides where fatigue can set in more quickly than usual! Also remember to stretch both before and after each session so that your body stays limber and ready for action.
Frequently Asked Questions
What Is The Best Mountain Bike For Long-Distance Riding? When it comes to long-distance riding, the best mountain bike really depends on your body position and gear selection. If you're looking for a comfortable ride that won't leave you feeling sore after hours of pedaling, then consider getting a full suspension model with an adjustable seatpost or handlebars so that you can adjust your positioning as needed throughout the day. On the other hand, if speed is more important than comfort when tackling long distances, then opt for a hardtail mountain bike equipped with wide tires and lower gears so that you can pedal faster without sacrificing too much energy. Whatever type of mountain bike you choose, make sure it's suited to your needs and will provide you with enough support for those longer rides! How Much Should I Spend On A Mountain Bike For Long-Distance Riding? When it comes to selecting the right mountain bike for long-distance riding, there are some factors to consider. Firstly, you should think about how much you want to spend on a mountain bike. It's important not to go too cheap as this could mean sacrificing quality and safety. Generally speaking, expect to invest between $500-1000 depending on your needs. You'll also need to factor in brake maintenance and gear selection - both of which can be costly if done improperly or by an unqualified technician. Ultimately, with careful consideration and research, you should be able to find the perfect mountain bike that meets your budget and requirements for long-distance riding. Should I Use Clipless Pedals When Mountain Biking Long Distances? When it comes to mountain biking long distances, there are a lot of factors you need to consider. One of the most important ones is your pedal type – for instance, clipless pedals can offer improved power transfer and efficiency compared with flat or platform pedals. You also want to make sure that your bike has appropriate gear ratios so that you won’t struggle going up steep inclines on those longer rides. Ultimately, it's up to you decide which pedals work best for your riding style and terrain. How Often Should I Replace The Tires On My Mountain Bike? When it comes to mountain biking, one of the most important aspects is making sure your tires are in tip top shape. Depending on how often you're riding and the type of terrain, tire pressure and gear selection can affect how quickly they wear down. Generally speaking, if you’re a regular rider then you should check your tires regularly for cuts or bulges and replace them every 800-1500 miles, but this could vary depending on where you’re riding. Ultimately, keeping an eye on your tire condition will help ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable ride! Is A Full-Suspension Mountain Bike Necessary For Long-Distance Riding? When it comes to long-distance riding, a full-suspension mountain bike isn't necessarily required. However, there are some advantages to having one such as improved frame geometry and gear ratios that can make your ride smoother and more comfortable over longer distances. Ultimately, the choice of whether or not you need a full suspension bike depends on your personal preference and what type of terrain you'll be riding on.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the best mountain bike for long-distance riding depends on your needs and budget. If you're looking for a reliable ride that won't break the bank, then a hardtail mountain bike is a great option. Clipless pedals are recommended to maximize power transfer from your legs to the bike, while tires should be replaced at least once every two years or when they show signs of wear. A full-suspension bike might offer more comfort than a hardtail over longer distances, but isn't absolutely necessary if you don't mind some bumps along the way. Ultimately, it's up to you to decide what kind of mountain bike will work best for your style of riding and how much money you want to spend. Read the full article

i am so exhausted. i got back from ecuador more than a week ago and then went straight back to work, and it's just been Go Go Go ever since. today is finally my day off and i want to do absolutely nothing. yesterday i worked a double while the winter storm was going on, so no one came out and i barely made any money in a 12 hour day. but oh well. i got to hang out and drink with my friends at least.
ecuador was a really eventful trip. it's hard to describe. i felt so happy there - to be traveling again, and trying new foods, and speaking spanish with a level of fluency i didn't even realize i had. i felt so cared for by all the people around me. i don't know, i just felt like people were looking out for me and were genuinely curious about me. one of my favorite memories was taking a taxi from ambato to baños because i couldn't find the right bus, and the taxi driver picked up his son and then we all talked for the whole 90 minute drive. just getting to know each other and stuff. it was so wholesome. they bought me a sugar cane juice and took pictures of me standing in front of the entrance to baños. it was so nice to find connection with strangers like that.
and i loved my horseback riding day, too. it was just me and the guide. we rode our horses up into the cloud forest and it was so mystical and fun. we talked so much. he used to work in restaurants too, so we bonded over that. we just talked and talked and talked as he showed me all these beautiful moss-covered trees in the forest. i was able to have somewhat complex conversations for five hours in spanish! i am so proud of myself. i've never taken a real spanish class. i literally just learned an entire language on my own and i worked really hard to do so. and i did it!! i actually did it!
i went rock climbing in baños and it was incredibly challenging. i really didn't think i would make it. but i did! my second time climbing outdoors! it was a beautiful place, all green and lush with a little bit of rain. my guide was really encouraging and sweet. he bought me a sugar cane juice too and kissed me on the cheek when we said goodbye. and then i went paragliding, which was just really relaxing and not scary in the least. i wish i could have stayed up there longer, hanging out in the sky and looking down at all the little farm animals.
i rode a bike down this road full of waterfalls in the distance. it felt really freeing. and the big waterfall at the end was fun too - it was really touristy and there were tons of people there, but that made it fun somehow, like it was a big party. i also stumbled upon this random museum with the worst taxidermy i've ever seen and it cracked me up, i spent so long in the taxidermy room just looking at everything. it was fun. and i went to the hot springs too.
so i also got attacked by dogs when i was hiking along quilotoa lake, and then after baños i got mugged while i was getting into an uber and got my phone, passport, and wallet stolen. so i had to deal with that and go to the embassy and get my parents to wire money to random people i met and stuff. that was annoying. but it makes a hell of a story. when i tell people that though, it overshadows the fact that the trip was actually really fun and i was really happy for most of it. like i went to mindo after i got my new passport and it was so nice to just go birdwatching and walk around in the forest and see waterfalls and eat chocolate and stuff. i met a lot of fun people in the hostels and on my tours and it was nice to just meet travelers again.
it sucks that i got mugged and it's been so draining coming back and immediately having to work and then dealing with getting a new drivers license and insurance card and filing insurance claims and collecting receipts and stuff and using a ziploc bag as a wallet. and i've been socializing a lot too. i hung out with charlotte, whose ex owes her 12 grand, and liz, whose mom died suddenly. everyone is going through some shit. i hung out with coworkers tonight and it was honestly draining, they spent almost the entire time bitching about work and gossiping about this person and that person and how you can't trust this person and that person is a snake and this person did this petty thing and i just wanted to scream YOU GUYS!!! let's talk about ANYTHING else. i think i'm realizing that a lot of my coworkers are petty and love drama and that's all they talk about. it's toxic.
i'm thinking about the bigger picture of my life and it's still hard to make out. but traveling again reminded me that i love to travel and i love trying new things and i love telling stories. traveling has given me so many crazy stories and i love telling them and making people laugh and adding humor to my misfortunes. like THAT'S what i wish i could do for a job. i should write more. i'm good at it but i'm out of practice. if i could figure out how to write about my travels somehow in some cohesive manner, i think that would be a fun project for me. i don't know. for now i'm just stacking money and trying to have fun, but i'm tired. i've been tired for a long time. the past year has been a LOT. i went through two breakups, went crazy from depression twice, got my car stolen, flew off my bike into a brand new lexus, got attacked by dogs, got mugged, etc. i'm building character i guess lol. but i don't want to be so exhausted anymore.

why ebikes are good to ride in busy city?
We are living in the future! In every way, technology has improved our lives, whether it's through breakthrough drugs, renewable energy or new exercise ideas that keep us active (and living) longer ...... One of these changes is the ebike. You've probably seen one of these zipping down your street. The question is, is it worth all the hype, especially for our cyclists? Nicknamed ebikes (also known as power bikes or booster bikes), it may be the biggest green transportation option of the decade. You might say bicycling is already green, but it's not just that. Consider using them instead of small gasoline scooters instead of regular bicycles. Electric bikes use rechargeable batteries and can reach top speeds of 25 to 45 mph - much faster than most people can ride a bicycle - allowing you to get to your destination faster and stay in better shape. In short, they offer a low-cost, energy-efficient and emission-free way to get around, while providing physical and health benefits. But why is this a good idea? Here are 7 benefits that will clear up any doubts you may have and get you thinking about buying an ebike, ready for the best ride of your life!
1. Assisted Cycling
Tumblr media
Electric bikes have what they call a battery-powered pedal assist. Technically, this is a machine integrated into the bike that enhances your pedaling ability. This reduces the strain and impact on your knees and thighs. Say goodbye to sweaty rides. Some e-bikes have specific boost technology that helps you conquer hills and slopes, such as the MTB type of e-bike. So you don't have to worry about any challenging terrain. People of all ages and health conditions can ride electric bikes perfectly for longer rides. Longer rides mean more scenery and more opportunities for lunch stops! If you want to learn about the most affordable pedal assist ebike to get some amazing benefits. We recommend you check out these ebike reviews.
2. Fast and nimble ebike
Tumblr media
This technology gives you the extra power you need to cover miles of distance with ease. You can also take advantage of multi-use bike lanes and unobstructed trails.  Which is great if you live in a city where you can cut your commute time. These cars are becoming increasingly popular in cities as governments and councils urge people to give up their cars. Because they are so fast, full-coverage bike helmets are highly recommended. These bikes have been in development for years and now look almost like a normal bicycle frame, with only a subtle buzz to expose them. Take advantage of the lightweight form and durability of an electric bike without anyone having to get any smarter!
3. cut expenses wih ebike
Tumblr media
4. They are the future of transportation
Tumblr media
5. Variety of styles
Tumblr media
6. Easy to get
Tumblr media
7. Bicycle Decorating Ideas
Bicycle decals are an emerging trend. More and more young people like to put some fun decals on their bike frames, and this amazing decoration is the perfect idea for any bike space. Custom decals are easy to use and super self-adhesive, so you can remove them at any time without any problems or residual stains. At breezeriderebike.com you can order any type of decal online, such as stickers for bike club names, logos, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

How do I unlock my electric bike?
If you're wondering how to unlock your electric bike, you're not alone. Many people are unsure of how to properly unlock their electric bike, but it's actually quite simple. With just a few steps, you can be on your way to unlocking your electric bike.
Why electric bikes are great?
According to E-Ride Centric, In recent years, electric bikes have become more popular as an alternative to traditional bicycles. Electric bikes are great for a number of reasons. First, they provide a boost of power that can be helpful when riding up hills or over long distances. Second, they can be more efficient than traditional bicycles since they don’t require as much effort from the rider. Finally, electric bikes are environmentally friendly since they don’t produce emissions like gas-powered vehicles do.
Tumblr media
If you’re considering an electric bike, there are a few things you should keep in mind. First, make sure to choose a reputable brand with a good warranty. Second, test ride the bike before you buy it to make sure it feels comfortable and has enough power for your needs. Finally, be prepared to spend a bit more on an electric bike than you would on a traditional bicycle.
How to charge an electric bike?
1. To charge an electric bike, first make sure that the bike is turned off. Next, find the charging port, which is usually located under the seat.
2. Plug the charging cable into the charging port and then into a power outlet. The bike will start charging immediately.
3. Depending on the battery size, it may take anywhere from 2-8 hours to fully charge the battery. Once the battery is fully charged, unplug the charger and safely store it away.
How to unlock an electric bike?
An electric bike, also known as an e-bike, is a bicycle with an electric motor that assists the rider. E-bikes have become increasingly popular in recent years, as they offer a green and convenient way to get around.
If you're new to e-biking, you may be wondering how to unlock your bike. Here's a quick guide:
1. Look for the locking mechanism on your bike. This is usually located near the rear wheel or on the frame.
2. Insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise to unlock the bike.
3. If your bike has a pedal-assist system, you'll need to switch it on before you can start riding. To do this, simply press the power button on the handlebar or controller.
Electric bike safety tips
As the weather gets warmer and people look for ways to get outside and get some exercise, many are dusting off their bikes or buying new ones. Electric bikes are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a little extra boost, making them ideal for hills or longer rides.
Tumblr media
But before you head out on your electric bike, there are a few things you should know to make sure you stay safe.
Here are some tips for staying safe on your electric bike:
Wear a Helmet: A helmet is always a good idea when riding a bike, but it's especially important when riding an electric bike. Because you can go faster on an electric bike, it's important to wear a helmet in case of an accident.
Be Visible: Make sure you're visible to other cyclists and motorists when riding your electric bike.
Conclusion
Electric bikes are becoming increasingly popular, as they offer a sustainable and fun way to get around. Here, we take a look at the benefits of riding an electric bike, from improving your fitness to saving money on transport costs.
Riding an electric bike is a great way to get some exercise, as you still have to pedal, but you can go further and faster with less effort. This makes it ideal for commuting or leisure rides. Electric bikes are also much cheaper to run than cars or public transport, so they can save you money in the long term.
Perhaps the biggest benefit of riding an electric bike is that it’s good for the environment. Electric bikes have zero emissions, so they don’t contribute to air pollution or climate change. If more people switch to electric bikes, we could make a real difference to the planet.

You had no idea what made him decide to do this, but now you hung to him tight as he wound through traffic, you were glad for it. Never once in your life did you think you would end up on the back of a motorcycle, but here you were. The wind wipped around you almost violently. You clung to the man in front of you, your head resting carefully on his shoulder. You could smell him and it was intoxicating. Feeling his muscles move as he worked the bike and the vibrations running through you was sending you reeling.
Billy had came home one day with a proud smirk plastered on his face. You had glared at him asking him what was going on before he took you down to his private garage, under Anvil, to show you the new toy. You weren’t sure about it, terrified was more the correct word but Billy had a very good way of convincing you. You swore your grip was like a vice and when Billy finally caught a red light his hands came up to rub at yours trying to relax you.
“You okay?” He spoke through the Bluetooth device in the helmets making you slightly jump.
“Um yeah I’m fine,” your voice sounded broken, like the man had been working you for hours.
  “You sure about that Princess?”
The nickname mixed with the smirk you knew was on his face, made you clench.
“You have your work cut out for you when we get back home.”
“Oh I do? Is this turning you on Princess hmmm?”
“Yes Sir,” your voice was almost too low you didn’t think he heard.
The chuckle you received before he took off told you he had. He took off past the cars around you and you once again took ahold of his shirt with a vice grip.
“Lean forward more and lay your front on my back Princess.”
He suddenly spoke and you did as instructed jumping as the vibrations hit right between your legs. Your eyes rolled at the feeling but it wasn’t enough.
  “Feels good doesn’t it Princess?”
“Not as good as you Sir,” you whimpered. “It’s not enough either.”
“Oh I know it’s not. That’s the point,” he smirked and you let out another whimper.
You swore Billy took you through places you had never been. You were almost to the point of begging him to take you home and do his worst when he turned and you could see the Anvil building in the distance. He pulled into the private garage kicking the stand but never turning off the bike.
“You stay right there Princess.” He smirked as he climbed off.
  “Yes Sir.”
You did as you were told sitting up on the bike and removing your helmet. When you looked over at Billy his helmet was gone and you were met with lust blown eyes.
“Now you are going to stay on the bike and I’m going to fuck that pretty pussy.”
“Ye…Yes Sir,” you looked up at him with the innocent look you knew he loved and he let out a soft growl as he leaned in kissing you deeply.
You melted into him wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him back with just as much want and hunger as he gave you. He didn’t waste much time undoing your pants and pulling them down your legs before removing himself from his pants. He slid into you hilt deep and your head flew back and moan falling from your lips. Then it hit you that the garage door was still open.
“What if someone sees us?” You panted as you looked back at Billy.
He pulled all the way out and then snapped his hips forward hard, “Let them see.”
He pulled back out again and snapped forward hard keeping a bruising grip on your hips and your eyes locked to his.
“Let them see you sprawled out on my bike cum dripping on the seat.”
Another full pull out and another hard snap in, “Let them see who you belong to.”
His forehead had fallen to yours, eyes still locked and he spoke the last sentence with lust dripping from every word. Then he was pounding in and out of you hard and fast. You were a mess forgetting completely that anyone could drive or walk by and see you at the mercy of this man who never let up. He kept you held to the seat that still vibrated through you as he kept going.
“I’m close,” you panted not really sure if he heard you.
“Look at me when you cum. Look me in the eyes,” he ordered and you snapped your head up forcing your eyes open.
You fought the urge to close your eyes as you tumbled off the edge. Your eyes locked with Billy’s and you let out a moan your body trembling as you came around him, gripping his cock like a vice. The whole scene pushed him over the edge right behind you and he snapped his hips one last time before emptying himself inside of you.
You both panted as you came back down. Billy pulled from you and helped to fix yourself before fixing himself. He turned the bike off and picked you up to help you off on it. He sat you down on jelly legs and you faltered slightly pulling a chuckle from him.
  “Easy there Princess.”
“Well if someone would not fuck me into next week…”
“Are you saying you didn’t enjoy that?”
He smirked at you and you glared at him but still held a playful smile. You watched as he dipped his finger wiping off the seat where your cum had leaked and then stuck his finger in your mouth. You clenched at the sight and gulped.
“Delicious and I plan to taste more when I get you inside.”
“You’re going to be the death of me Billy Russo.”
He pulled you to him and kissed you deeply.
“I think it’s the other way around Princess.”

Words: 2981
Warnings: none
Read this on AO3
Summary: You don't like Hawk. He's a bad person, that much you know for sure. You're ready to make his life miserable when he loses a bet with you, but then you actually have to spend time with him...
Tumblr media
   You didn't like this.
Forgiveness seemed to be a virtue that evaded you. Eagle-fang and Miagi-Do were uniting and everyone seemed to be all for the union – except for you.
Some things were simply unforgivable. For you, Hawk breaking Demetri's arm was one of them.
You and Demetri became nearly inseparable friends when you both joined Miagi-Do. He had told you all about his former friend Eli and how he'd abandoned him in the favor of bullying him in any way he could come up with; that bullying taking a turn to the extreme when Hawk took to breaking bones.
Demetri had since forgiven him, but you hadn't.
Demetri had a softer heart than he let on, and he missed Eli terribly, so when the latter suggested they work together he gladly accepted.
But you were more objective about the situation, as you weren't a part of it, and forgiving such cruelty was beyond you.
The one good thing about the dojos coming together was the intense dedication that grew on everyone. Now that you had a common enemy, many participants would hang around in Miyagi-Do's dojo long after training sessions, training until you could hardly move your limbs.
The sun had ago long fallen when you and the remaining students took places around a mat, ready for the sparring session to begin.
With Daniel and Sensei Lawrence gone, you had taken to writing down names and pulling them out of a bowl to decide on sparring partners.
All the negative emotions you felt channeled in to great excitement when Miguel called your name – followed by Hawk's.
You could have sworn you saw a look of something you couldn't read – concern, perhaps, or fear? Before he seemed to share your excitement as he stepped on to the mat with a grin that was almost predatory.
Two could play at that game.
“You're as good as dead,” you said, your voice dripping venom. Hawk's smirk just grew.
“Is that so, princess? I'd like to see you score as much as a point.”
A light bulb lit in your mind.
“Yeah?” you taunted. “What if I get three?”
Hawk laughed. “You got a lot of confidence, don't you? I'll tell you what. If you can score three points on me and win, I'll...” He bit his lip as he thought. “I'll let you boss me around for a week. Whatever you want.”
The blood rushed through your veins, ready more than ever to fight. You were grateful for the lack of your sensei, knowing this nonsense wouldn't stand if he were here.
    “Deal.”
“Are you guys done?” Miguel huffed, standing between you two, ready to referee. “Good. Bow.”
You bowed without intent and got straight to attacking. Hawk didn't expect it; he came from the dojo that prides itself on strike first and yours cared mainly about defense. You earned your first point within seconds.
That only served to throw Hawk off his game further. He dived in right away for the attack and was caught unprepared when you fell, sweeping his leg.
    You earned your second point.
By that point, Hawk might as well have been fuming out the ears. His brows furrowed in anger as he looked at you like you were the most vile thing he had ever seen; that satisfied something within you.
The flurry of hits and misses was so rapid you were caught unprepared when you managed to land a punch on Hawk, Miguel's voice rising as he named you victor.
Hawk huffed, clearly exerted. You smiled. “You're mine.”
You were fully intending to use this bet to its full potential.
The next day was Saturday, and Hawk, true to his word, showed up at your doorstep at 9 p.m sharp, just as you had ordered.
You paid him no kindness when you opened the door, not exchanging a word with him before demanding: “Helmet?”
Hawk handed you a helmet, not looking particularly pleased about the situation but not being able to stop himself from taking in an eyeful of you anyway.
You needed a ride to tonight's party – that's where Hawk came in, beginning his work for you as a personal valet. Accordingly for the event, you were dressed meticulously, showing off your best features – and if you were to judge by Hawks reaction, you were on your way to turn heads.
You climbed on the motorcycle after him, circling your arms around him loosely; but when he kicked off and started the ride, you couldn't help but tighten your hold.
The party was overcrowded with people from the moment you got there; Yasmine's parties tended to get a bit... excessive.
You ditched Hawk the moment you got sight of your friends, ditching the helmet on his bike to run over to Sam, Moon and Yasmine.
Yasmine didn't hide the dirty look she sent at Hawk. “Ew. Who's the freak?”
You grinned proudly. “My valet. Ignore him. Actually...”
You looked over to the drinks table; someone had tapped a keg and it was being swarmed with people.
    “Hey, Hawk!”
Hawk turned to you, the slightest furrow in his brow as he had already joined his own friends. You pointed at the drinks table. “Vodka soda!” you ordered.
He rolled his eyes, but did it anyway. Your friends watched wide-eyed as he obeyed you wordlessly, bringing over the drink. “Anything else, princess?”
“Yes,” you gave him a judging once-over. “Don't drink tonight. I want to get home in one piece.”
He bit his cheeks and glared at you before growling “Fine” and returning to his friends.
At some point you didn't even want a drink any more, it was just fun ordering Hawk to go fetch you another one; and so, you found yourself unintentionally drunk, laughing mindlessly at anything said and swaying on your feet.
You didn't even know how late it had gotten when Hawk came in the living room looking for you, ready to go home as most the others already had.
You had earlier made him promise to take you home as well, and – something you were quickly learning was, Hawk was definitely a man of his word. He spotted you half-sprawled on the couch, laughing with Yasmine at something you didn't fully register. Your cup was askew in your hand, contents about to spill over when Hawk grabbed it out of your hand, placing it on a table nearby.
“Come on, Y/n. It's time to go.”
“Not yet!” you grinned gleefully, taking hold of his wrist and shaking it dumbly as you spoke. “Later! We're having fun!”
Hawk placed his free hand on yours that held him. “It's four AM, Y/n, time to call it a night.”
You didn't reply, instead resorting to pouting like a child.
His eyes softened (the puppy eyes never failed to work) – but his jaw clenched. “If you don't come now I'm leaving you here.”
“Fine!” you hurriedly rose to your feet, using Hawk for balance. “Bye,” you pouted at Yasmine childishly as Hawk pulled you away from her and out of the house.
The sudden quiet of the outside was nearly overwhelming, Hawk's voice sounding too loud for you. “How am I supposed to get you home when you're this drunk?”
“I'm not drunk,” you answered instinctively, knowing that you very well were.
“If you can make it to the bike in a straight line, I'll believe you.” You look at his bike, ten feet ahead. You decide to keep holding on to him. “That's what I thought. Listen. You gotta stay awake, okay? I can't have you falling off in the middle of the road, or making me sway, because then we're both dead. Got it?”
    “Dead. Got it.”
Hawk didn't look convinced, but placed a helmet on you and buckled it anyway.
It was about ten minutes in to the ride when Hawk pulled over. He turned to you, his voice as serious as he could make it; you simply smiled, somewhat dazed. “This isn't going to work.”
    “Hm?”
“Y/n!” Hawk called, trying to wake you up a little. “Don't fall asleep!”
“Yes, sensei.” you slurred. Had you been any more awake, you might have noticed the way Hawk's eyes widened at that.
Hawk had to refocus himself to go on. “I'm serious. Look... My house is closer than yours. You can sleep it off at mine, and I'll take you wherever tomorrow. Okay?”
“Okay,” you shrugged, your mind not caring about much other than regaining the warmth of Hawk's body pressed against yours.
Minutes later you pulled up at an unfamiliar house. Hawk unbuckled your helmet and set it aside, helping you off the bike and guiding you inside, motioning Shhh as he led you through the corridor of his darkened house until you reached his room.
The most natural thing for you to do the moment you saw a bed was to collapse on it. In the seconds Hawk turned his back on you to find you Pj's to wear, you had fallen asleep.
Looking at you on his bed, Hawk exhaled heavily. He was very aware of your hatred of him; what he couldn't understand was, if everyone else forgave him, why not you?
It certainly didn't help that you looked the way you do, that you were talented, and that everyone loved you.
So Hawk undid your shoes and pulled them off, laying a blanket on you before leaving you to sleep.
You woke up groggy, somewhat hungover and in a strangers room; an interesting start to the day.
You didn't really want to leave the comfort of your lonesome in the room but it was clear you would have to face the music at some point, so you womaned up and left the room.
Following the smell of food cooking, you walk down a hallway to find a red-haired man in the kitchen, his tattooed back to you, muscles flexing as he flipped a pancake.
With his hair down, it took you a moment to register who you're seeing; who's bed you spent the night in.
    Hawk.
Your first instinct was to groan, to cower in to yourself in regret; but then you remember how tenderly he treated you the night prior, making sure you got safely to a bed, letting you have his bed.
You swallowed your pride and stepped in to the kitchen. “Morning.”
Hawk's shoulders jumped in fright as you startled him; you couldn't help but giggle. He quickly rightened himself, straightening his back and flexing his abs as he turned to you.
He was good looking and he knew it. You hated him.
However, you felt your power returning to you as he couldn't help but look you up and down, your disheveled clothes revealing a bit more than they had the night before. Hawk inhaled sharply, reminding himself of who he was, how he was supposed to act: unfazed.
    “Bout time you got up.”
You frowned, looking at the kitchen clock. “What do you mean about time? It isn't even noon yet.”
“Yeah, well,” Hawk flipped a pancake on to a nearby plate. “You wanted me to take you to the mall today, right? I have practice later, so it's gotta be now.” The Eagle-fangs were holding weekend practices of their own, something you weren't a fan of.
“Jeez, fine,” you sneered, allowing yourself to sit at the kitchen table. Amidst the chaos that was waking up in Hawks bed, you had totally forgot you previously asked him to take you out today. Yasmine's parents were making her take tutoring lessons, Moon was doing some spiritual healing thing and Sam was with Miguel, so you were left all alone – but you certainly didn't intend on spending Sunday at home, doing nothing.
Hawk finally shut off the burner and joined you at the table with a stack of pancakes and two plates in tow. “Eat away your hangover. I'm not gonna hold your hair up if you hurl.”
Breakfast with Hawk ended up being a surprisingly civil affair; so was shopping. There was something exciting about dragging him along after you, shop after shop, having him carry your bags and modeling clothes for him. And honestly, you were loving the effect you had on him. You knew he was trying to hide it, but you could see the way he grew antsy when you tried on bikinis. You loved teasing him, knowing he couldn't have you.
What also didn't hurt was the way you two turned heads walking down streets together. You were undeniably gorgeous, and he... While at first you thought it was the bright red mohawk that grabbed peoples eyes, after a close inspection you couldn't deny he had fair features, too. You had to look away whenever he tensed his jaw, accentuating his jawline, or if God forbid he smiled, you had to deny the way his smile made your stomach knot up.
As though to top off the experience of him, by the time you finished shopping, Hawk would have been late if he was to take you home, so you suggested he take you to practice with him and just take you home once he was finished. And oh my... You did not need to see him fighting. Having a whole hour to see his biceps flexing as the threw punches was doing you no favors; when you were both practicing you were too busy with yourself to notice him, but right then you had a whole hour to do nothing but stare.
At the end of the practice you rose when Hawk approached you, ready to go. When his sensei understood you were waiting there for him, he asked Hawk, “Yours?”
Hawk didn't answer; he merely smirked that Hawk smirk of his. His sensei nodded proudly. “Nice.” Creep.
You had a couple more days to squeeze the most you could out of your bet, and by all means were you planning on using them.
Hawk was taking you to school and home every day on the back of his bike – to Miyagi-do, too. It became a regular thing to see you two together, and if anyone was expecting you, they expected Hawk, too.
Just as the previous mornings, you and Hawk walked in to school together. Seeing your friends, you bid him goodbye and went to join them, your eyes lingering on him a bit too long as he said hello to Miguel.
Yasmine's jaw dropped as she looked at you, her expression scandalized. “What?” you asked.
“You're totally in to the freak!”
“What? No,” you denied – but even as the words left your mouth, you could hear your lack of conviction. “No.”
You looked back to where Hawk and Miguel stood; this time, he caught your eye. Then, with total audacity, he winked at you.
You felt heat rush through your body.
The smirk that grew on him suggested he knew exactly what he was doing to you.
    You hated it.
Deciding to put an end to this madness, you wordlessly leave your friends and march up to Hawk, a new rage running though you.
He stopped talking with Miguel when you reached him; Miguel visibly tensed at what he felt was a dangerous situation for him to be in.
    “Sidebar,” you ordered. Hawk smirked.
    “After you, princess.”
You hoped no one would notice when you lured him in to an empty classroom, but in all honesty, it was you and Hawk. There were always eyes on you two.
You turned to him once you were engulfed in the silence of the room. “Listen. I don't know what you're playing at, but cut it out. I own you, got it? Don't go winking at me in the hallway like I'm your girlfriend or something.”
You expected to see him cower, blush, show any sign of intimidation – but there was no such emotion. The smirk he wore only grew in confidence. “You sure about that?” he asked cheekily. “Because it seems to me like you'll find any excuse to be around me.”
You couldn't believe the audacity of this boy. You were stunted for words; he went on. “Be honest with yourself. Once the week is up, you'll still find reasons to talk to me.”
You bit your cheeks; you hated how he was right, how he read you so easily. “And look, I'm done playing this game too.”
Your stomach dropped. Was he about to reject you, without you even confessing? “I'm not playing with you,” you tried to say intimidatingly, but your voice came out too small for comfort.
“Me neither. So...” Hawk looked down at you; you could have drowned in his ocean eyes. You averted your gaze to the side, crossing your arms.
“Fine. We can call it off early.”
Hawk chuckled. You wanted to punch him. “You still don't get it, do you?”
You returned your eyes to Hawk, ready to chew him out when he placed his hands on your cheeks, pulling you to him for a kiss.
You could feel yourself melting in to the kiss, feeling a rush of adrenaline run through you as you finally got to experience what you didn't want to admit to yourself that you craved so deeply.
When he finally pulled away, he kept his hands on you, your noses nearly touching. “I've wanted to do that for a long time,” Hawk admitted.
You half-smiled. “It's only been a week.”
Hawk had burst in laughter, his thumbs caressing your cheeks. “You still don't get it.” Before you could protest his words, his lips met your once more.
Maybe you could find it in you to forgive him, after all.
