Hmm one day I’ll have to figure out my characters’ MBTI types.
#Personal#To be fair I’m super interested in this topic but#I’m just not sure my typing will be objective enough because most of them got their types on the very early stages of my writing x)#Anyway for now I’m sticking with Valerio being an ENFJ or ESFJ#He’s clearly a Fe dom user but honestly I’m not sure about his auxiliary function#I mean he might seem dwell into his past but he’s rather ignoring it which is why it can’t let him live a normal life#Hmm does it mean he’s in the Fe-Ne loop?#Like he tries to find different possibilities for having a bright future#but since he doesn’t rely on one of his main functions (Si) it doesn’t work out#Wait it does make sense#Akajjdkfm but I want him to be an ENFJ#I’ll need to think about it deeper someday#Okay so Ángel is clearly an ESFP and Frida is either an INFJ or INTJ#Matías seems like a Ti dom user because in his and Valerio’s duo he’s the one who always holds a braincell so he’s an ISTP#Emilio is an INTJ and he seems to be in the Ni-Fi loop#Verónica hmmmm ENTP maybe?#To be fair I barely know anything about her so I really don’t know XD#But she’s creative and can think objectively which does sound like NeTi I think#And INTJ and ENTP are the perfect match :D#As for Leticia I need to write her more often to figure it out but for now I think of her as an ENFP#And Gabe himself is an ESTJ#Wait wait wait wait coming back to Valerio’s MBTI#He does seem to be in the Fe-Se loop as well considering how much he cares about what other people will say about his scars#Like he cares about his image A LOT and wants others to perceive him as a wise and kind Señor Álvarez even though he’s not really is#And he tries to distract himself from his dark thoughts and memories via the sensory world which is kinda why he became a teacher#He just HAD to do something so he wouldn’t lose his mind#Plus the main thing about his arc is not accepting his past (although it’s still a big part of it)#but rather finding a true purpose in his life which is not teaching actually#Anyway Valerio clearly can’t be in both loops at the same time it’s just me trying to figure out his actual type aksjdmkf#But idk I might be biased but him being an ENFJ sounds more realistic because really he never used Si even when he’s not under stress

Sherlock MBTI analysis
Disclaimer: I’m not a professional when it comes to psychology, I’m also not planning to become one. I researched a lot on MBTI types, read about other people’s thoughts and experiences with their type and also read a lot of character analysis, not only for BBC Sherlock but also for other shows. I also included the cognitive functions that are the base of the MBTI types. I respect other opinions. That being said let’s dive into this analysis :>
Sherlock Holmes – INTP the Logician
Since Sherlock is the main character of the show, we have a lot of material to analyze and giving him a MBTI type was therefore easier than for side characters.
Sherlock is clearly an introverted person; I doubt anyone would object to that. He doesn’t like interacting with people and prefers to do things alone. If he would take the personality test himself, he’d probably get a relatively high score in introversion, above 90% I’d say. He doesn’t get his energy from interacting with people.
Moving on to the next letter, the N which stands for Intuition. I’ve seen some people arguing that he is in fact a sensor (an ISTP) but I’m quite sure he’s an Intuitive. He is able to completely ignore his surroundings, he was talking to John for hours without noticing that John wasn’t even there. Typically, sensors are very aware of their surroundings and find it difficult to ignore what is happening around them. Sensors live in the present while Intuitives live more in the future. Intuitves are also people who tend to see possibilities while sensors like to rely on experience. The reason why people confuse Sherlock for a sensor is because Sherlock is very detail oriented when inspecting a crime scene and when he wants to be he is very aware of his surroundings and notices every small detail. However, Sherlock always notices the big picture. INTPs also like to think through a lot of ideas, they spend a lot of time thinking while ISTPs always start doing things. Sherlock’s mind palace and how he uses it is extremely untypical for an ISTP or a sensor in general but fits an INTP very well. Also INTPs are better at longterm planning than ISTPs and Sherlock is actually good at planning things if he wants to.
Sherlock prefers thinking over feeling, I’ve never seen anyone type him as a feeler. Sherlock makes his decisions based on logic. That doesn’t mean that he is coldhearted or devoid of emotions and empathy, he just prefers to do things based on logic not on feelings.
Sherlock is also more perceiving that judging, I don’t see why anyone would type him as a judger. In the original ACD books he may an INTJ (which I don’t know because I didn't of them, shame on me) but definitely not in the BBC adaption. He doesn’t follow any routines, is always open to new things and goes through life and his cases how it seems right in the situation. That doesn’t mean he is unable to stick to plans, we have seen him making plans and following through with them, it just doesn’t seem to be his preferred way of doing things. He can adapt to unforeseen circumstances and find a solution in the moment. He is also a risk taker. Maybe this is a bit of a stereotype, but Judgers tend to be more organized with their belongings and living space. Sherlock however can work in the greatest chaos and doesn’t even mind it, I sometimes think he works better in a little chaos.
Cognitive functions: Ti-Ne-Si-Fe (These come from the 4 letters his MBTI consists of. You possess 4 cognitive functions: 2 introverted ones and 2 extraverted ones. All of these are developed differently, your primary function is your most developed one and your inferior function your most underdeveloped one.)
Primary function: Introverted thinking. He constantly keeps is mind open to new information and concepts that help him understand the world. He uses Ti to solve problems and quickly understands complex ideas.
Auxiliary function: Extraverted Intuition. He sees possibilities everywhere. He uses Ne to experiment with what could be and find new innovative ideas. He likes to learn about multiple possibilities and gets restless when the environment doesn’t promote experimentation.
Tertiary function: Introverted Sensing. He recalls logical concepts and ideas quickly. He stores and effectively recalls past information when needed.
Inferior function (underdeveloped function): Extraverted feeling. He feels strongly for other people but is unsure how to express feelings for them. He prefers to rely on logic and facts though. He can be very emotional under stress.
When giving someone an MBTI type I always consider the cognitive functions and in this case, they made me fairly sure of my decision because to me Sherlock is an Ne-Si user not a Se-Ni user or a Te user.

💗 Edogawa Ranpo: ENTP [BSD] 💗
Ne > Ti > Fe > Si
*Based off Season 1 of the anime [Chapters 1-12] with character-based spoilers from the Wikis. I’ve also read a synopsis of “The Untold Story of the Founding of the Detective Agency,” which gives lots of insight into Fukuzawa and Ranpo in particular, and also I know Yosano’s backstory. The Onsen Drama will also make an appearance occasionally. I feel like I have a good enough grasp on their characters for this and will only add more examples rather than changing types in the future. (At least, I think so.)
I’VE ALSO SEEN HIM TYPED AS: INTP, INTJ, ENTJ
Ranpo’s Ne is overwhelming (in a positive way, of course). In contrast to Ni, Ne prefers exploring already-established external ideas rather than focusing on creating a specific one for themselves. As a result, they have a more open appearance / attitude than an Ni-dom. Ne is well-known for its more childlike charm, which is often why people type Dazai as ENTP. (Ranpo’s fabulous extroverted intuition is what caused him to start that pillow fight at the onsen 🤭) Exxx types are more likely to be bored, as well, since they are in the external world. While introverts also get bored, they find that playing in their minds is pretty natural. Ne also prefers to take time working through different ways do go about things; Ni does this subconsciously and quite quickly, especially if Se is higher in a person’s function stack. When discussing what to do about Atsushi’s abduction, Ranpo suggested going to the police instead of pushing for Fe or Te like Tanizaki or Kunikida. Fe and Te are extroverted decision-making functions and Ne is an extroverted idea-exploring and information-gathering function. (His Ti is also very involved in that debate, but that goes without saying!) Ne’s ability to generate a plethora of ideas at once is probably the starting point of how his Ultra Deduction works. Si’s experience, Ti’s logic, and Fe’s understanding of others then whittles those possibilities down. But he’s also a genius. So take that process and amplify it. I’m also trying out this theory that generally someone’s likes and dislikes correspond to whether or not they’re a sensor or intuitive.
LIKES: Logical thinking, fantastic tales
DISLIKES: Common sense, useless knowledge
Literally 100% intuitive things.
Ti is, again, pretty much the deduction function, and is in the same position as Dazai's. During the Yamagiwa-Sugimoto case, both characters identified the killer correctly using this function but relied on different perceiving axes. Ti is also seen as very witty, fast, sharp, and sometimes subtle while Te is more overtly blunt and surface-level since it doesn’t care as much about Fe. I can’t see Ranpo using Te consciously, especially when considering his surprising use of Fe. I think the xNTJ perception of him comes from later on in the series, where he showcases a more serious and leaderlike persona. An ENTP’s shadow functions are Ni, Te, Fi, and Se -- you could think of it as a mini INTJ being inside of them. And if that INTJ-ness is being paired with his more extroverted nature, it’s understandable to peg him as an ENTJ. But still, I don’t think anyone would compare his usual self to Kunikida!
Like Dazai, Ranpo uses Fe for manipulation. However, this is more controlled, mainly directed towards enemies and suspects (or to get people to buy him snacks lol) while Dazai will even play mind games with ‘friends’ and allies. Remember him making Sugimoto cry when he revealed Yamagiwa’s last words? But honestly, I think Ranpo’s parents, Yosano, and Fukuzawa have really helped develop the greatest detective’s Fi. It’s one of the reasons I prefer Ranpo over Dazai; I don’t really have introverted feeling in my stack, so it’s not that I’m drawn to the same function in him. It’s the fact that Ranpo is more transparent about his intentions. Sure, he is a bit secretive in some ways, but he clearly loves the ADA and will do anything to protect those he cares about. It’s even revealed he fully knows that he doesn’t have an ability, but continues with the act in order to keep the harmony of the ADA. On another note, I’m not sure if he kept quiet at the onsen about not beng able to sleep when it’s completely dark: It could be that he was embarrassed about it or that he didn’t want to be an inconvenience. (I seriously doubt he just forgot to mention it until the lights were already out.) But either way, it makes me go 🥺. He also doesn’t resort to lying as quickly as Dazai does. It’s understandable why, but Dazai just doesn’t operate quite like this -- not yet, at least. And similarly to Sir Suicide™, Ranpo uses Fe to create a bit of a mask. It’s not for the same reasons, but it largely produces the same result. AND. I don’t know why people don’t really talk about this, but he took off his hat in respect when he saw Yamagiwa’s body and called her a lady -- without the teasing tone of voice Dazai might have. Maybe I’m just weird, but that scene really makes me happy, for some reason. Praise is also a very Fe-heavy thing, and I’m sure we all know how Ranpo is about praise LOL.
Frankly, Si is an interesting part of his personality. In the main series, it manifests as a distaste of ‘boring’ things, and he doesn’t seem particularly impressed with this function being Atsushi’s go-to. Inferior Si isn’t particularly good at remembering how to do things. Riding trains, anyone? On the other hand, his backstory actually has quite a bit of this. In The Untold Story of the Founding of the Detective Agency, Ranpo refuses to believe Fukuzawa that he’s incredibly gifted -- because he was clinging so tightly to his parents’ teachings. Right before Fukuzawa tells Ranpo that he has an ability, the latter told Fukuzawa to scold him, as he's dealt with it plenty of times already to know where the conversation is heading. (Excuse me while my heart shatters.) Regardless, after the lie, Ranpo ran off to stop the murder from taking place while deciding that “Since they’re ignorant infants--I’ll have to protect them!” Yes, his trademark cockiness is there, but that Si sense of duty and the Fe wish to protect is clearly present. I’d also like to point out that common sense and ‘useless’ trivia knowledge are literally Si incarnate.
Here’s a short excerpt from Ranpo’s point of view: ‘The reason he gave me those glasses was also for my sake. I’m okay with that, for now at least. Special ability user has a cooler ring to it anyway. (I got praised, so it’s all good.)’ *playing with kitten* “Show me your tummy---!”
Fi Blind Spot: Like Dazai, this is relatively self-explanatory. He values Fi more than the ex-executive, but not to the degree someone with that function in their stack does. I mean, one of his quotes is even about his willingness to turn himself into a demon if it meant the ADA would be fine! That’s a pretty clear use of Fe and a disregard of Fi.
Ne-Fe Loop: ‘An ENTP in an Ne-Fe loop would imagine a bunch of negative future scenarios and lose sight of reality as they fail to apply logic to their unrealistic beliefs. In addition, they become extremely sensitive to others’ opinions of them and are extremely concerned with being accepted by those around them and feeling disliked.’ source Just head on over to  Fukuzawa and Ranpo’s Dynamic.

Game Fixes Episode 1: Mega Man X7
I'm gonna start my tenure with one of the most notorious games in all of Mega Man, not just the X series. I have several ideas that can make the game feel more in line with characters and feel less forced.
Of course this will come with general polish in many aspects including a redone script and voice work. No disrespect towards any actors/actresses in the games, of course, but the presentation needs some serious work. Anyway, let's start with the first change
Axl
No, I'm not gonna get rid of him. I think he's a welcome addition to the cast and, if worked right, could be made to be even more beloved in the game he debuted in, despite being the Silver the Hedgehog of the X series.
First idea would be an overhaul in his move set. I say ditch the lame Copy Shot thing for his charge. Also have him function more like Bass from Mega Man and Bass/Mega Man 10, where he stands in place and you aim manually from the start. In 3D, (because I'm not getting rid of 3D) this could even include a first person aim function so you can be more precise. Also a light will shine to show your path so you're not relying on blind fire. Now, I'm thinking he could still charge a shot. What would he shoot? Well you could target multiple enemies at a time, release, and shoot a spread shot of small homing missiles at enemies or even Mavericks which can take a lot of these shots, of course. This feels more like a proper special ability and something that requires a meter for. So what do we do with that Copy Ability that makes him special?
Bio Metal
Yep, the special little MacGuffins from the ZX series. The very same. I'm thinking Axl would be the first Reploid to be made with an early version of Bio Metal, allowing him to change forms at will. This would be his version of X's Weapon Systems. Axl would gain new armor and abilities from the Mavericks he fights to boost his arsenal. A regular shot and a special shot. For example, with Ride Boarski, you'd shoot his regular weapon, but his Special move could be a Tackling Dash that would plow through enemies until the Meter runs out. Flame Hyenard could give a flamethrower for the main shot and his special could give you a clone that shoots for a few seconds. Tornado Tonion could give his leaf shot as a main, and his special lets you throw a tornado and damage enemies in a wide pattern. That sort of thing. The Mavericks aren't the only ones you're getting Bio Metal data from, though. Before I talk about that, let's bring up the main boy himself.
X
I'm thinking X would still be unlockable just like normal, but you'd play as him through an intro stage to feel the power you need to have back. Is he moping about violence and sitting on the couch like a lump like before? Yes and no. X, after causing a serious accident and putting innocent lives in danger, requests to be taken out of active duty until he can sort himself out, but he doesn't want to stop helping. Seeing how lousy X treated our new friend in the real story gave me an idea. Make X train Axl as his superior officer! Axl could be a trainee Hunter, still dealing with his checkered past with Red Alert and realizing they were no better than murderers, thus joining the Maverick Hunters to pay his dues to himself and prove to himself he isn't evil. X, seeing some of his own plight in his Rookie apprentice, starts taking a liking to Axl's ideals, despite his hot-headed, quick-to-the-trigger tactics and lack of professionalism. They butt heads through the intercom, with X saying this needs to be done by the book, but Axl wanting to show how he can take on any challenge no sweat and all that. X would be the Navigator for Axl, though Alia would aid as well.
Unlocking X
While saving Reploids will still be a thing, X will be unlocked halfway through the game. The whole thing would be integrated into the story. Axl defeats 3 or 4 Mavericks. All the while, X is still dealing with his fear of becoming a Maverick, fearing all he lost and hating his carelessness. Before your 4th fight, X will start getting more hostile and snappy at Axl, making Alia worried for X, since she's never seen him so worked up at himself. Axl begins to suspect X going Maverick to himself (he'd think "H-he isn't going...nah, of course not. Commander X is too strong for that...but...) Once the 4th stage is complete we get a midstage, like in Mega Man 7 or 8. A Mechanaloid is causing havoc in the city and Axl offers to go help. However, X sees that it's the same one that he caused the accident with and this sends him spiraling into anger.
"It's still out there?! After all I did, it wasn't enough?!? Damn it!!"
"Commander! Let me go take it out! Those people are in danger!"
"Why? So you can cause more damage with your recklessness?! You want to be a Maverick Hunter? Act like one and grow up!"
"...that's it... I'm not taking this from an old man that's crying about one little mistake he made!"
"...tch...you can't go anyway...you have your mission... just... stand down for now, kid."
"Commander X, what are you-?"
"You're right, Axl. I've been stewing about this for too long. This guy's mine. I have to prove this to myself."
That's how I think the scene would go. You go in as X and fight the Mechanaloid after a short stage rescuing plenty of civilians along the way. Alia and Axl are watching the events and communicating with X as well. X wins the battle, but suddenly his Buster goes off out of nowhere again, nearly destroying something that would put civilians in harms way. They are saved in the nick of time by Axl, who ports in anyway to try to help. X starts to doubt himself again, but Axl could see that it was something out of his control. The two go back to Hunter Base to run diagnostics and they find a bug in X's Buster systems, a lesser string of the Sigma Virus. X gets repaired after seeing this virus as a warning that Sigma might be back. This snaps him out of it and this gets him to go out and fight. You can now choose to go out as Axl, X, or as a team. If you go solo, your shots will be stronger, but without the backup, you'll be left with less defense.
Zero?
Nope, I'm not forgetting our favorite robot swordsman. At all. He will not make a physical appearance at all in the game. Why? Well...the Mega Man Zero series is still a thing. While I like the idea that Zero's ending in X6 being at the very end of the series, I'm trying to keep a stronger set of continuity here. Zero would still be in stasis, though he could communicate with X, since I'm thinking this could be a precursor to Cyber Elves, having Zero be something like a separate AI that can still communicate. As for playing as him? Oh he's still available...as a Bio Metal! I'm thinking after your first Maverick stage, a Zero spirit will appear in a level (kinda like the X Hunters in X2 but less stupid). Go find it, and Axl will be challenged to a fight against Zero, or at least a Reploid being controlled by his spirit. Before Axl finishes it off, X tells him to stand down, and Zero comes back to talk with X. The Spirit also leaves behind the Z-Saber, and thus infusing Axl with Zero's abilities, thus creating a prototype of the Z-Type Bio Metal from ZX.
Red Alert
So, get this. What if Sigma really WAS technically gone forever? I mean the bodies are all used up. The Spirit lives on, yes, but ol' Siggy ran out of his own bodies. Humor me here. What if Red Alert became the new villain faction full time? What if Red became the new face of Sigma? We'll call it...Red Doom or something. Sigma basically integrated himself into Red's systems and basically became part of his robotic code as thoughhe was always Sigma. This could also explain more why Axl needed to leave Red Alert, but it also shows how much in denial he was about Red going Maverick, since Red taught Axl everything he knows.
Script Changes?
I made my case about where the plot should go, but lemme try to work out personalities I think everyone could get down with in general.
Axl is the cocky, hot-blooded new kid who wants to prove himself to be better than where he came from. No petulant, childish talking or stupidity here. He'd be more like Sonic the Hedgehog but still acting just a little green. Still taking things just seriously enough for his quips to be endearing.
X takes his role as a CO very seriously. He's to the point and ensures that Axl is taught the way a situation must be handled. He hates how lax Axl is during his missions and tries to get him to focus. In combat, X is a no nonsense fighter who is ready to bring in the Mavericks, by force if need be. He doesn't try to get them to go peacefully considering his experience. (in fact he'll say once "I guess I can't expect you to come quietly?") No more "Why must Reploids fight each other" and blah blah blah. We all heard this. While he hates the fight, he knows at this point that the world needs a warrior, sort of like Gohan if that helps.
Zero is supportive of X and does his best to help keep his mind out of darkness. He'll even say "You were willing to stand by my side when I feared going Maverick, so I'll be here to do the same."
Red is a lot more cold at the start, outright insulting Axl, saying that he's no more than a worthless prototype, and the next generation of Reploids will be far superior to Axl's faulty design, or taunting X saying "How the mighty hath fallen. How does it feel, X? How does it feel to have to watch as the world crumbles to nothing through the eyes of your good for nothing amateur all because you couldn't keep a tab on your trigger finger?" Red will also be a boss at the end of Axl's first stage before the Maverick fights, and you're meant to lose it to show how powerful he is. You can see shreds of Sigma in there, but he is woven into Red's thoughts and personality in a way that makes Sigma and Red seem equal in the body, though a body can still be created (basically Red Sigma will be put in a more "Sigma appropriate" body with the bald head and big ass chin. Basically Sigma takes Red completely in a way. They're both in control, like their souls combined if that makes sense.
Everyone else is how they should be. Alia, for example is more like how she was in X8.
These are just a few changes that would make Mega Man X7 a much more plot centered game that knows how to work with it's characters. Other fixes like making it faster, tweaking the weapons, making Dr. Light stay as an AI, all that feels superfluous, because a lot of that just makes sense to change. Same with presentation, but with a new script, new lines are inevitable, so duh.
Stay tuned for more Game Fixes! If you want to request a game, lemme know!

( PART 1: DA + ASTROLOGY )
PART 2: DIGIMON ADVENTURE + MBTI
Taichi - ESTP Yamato - INFP Sora - ENFJ Koushirou - INTJ Mimi - ESFP Jou - ISTJ Takeru - ENFP Hikari - ISFP Daisuke - ESFP Miyako - ENFP Iori - ISTJ Ken - INFJ
Discussion and Commentary below!
If you’ve read some of my previous headcanons about the MBTI, and in particular this very popular post from four (!) years ago, you may find I’ve changed my mind a lot.
An important thing about this typology (or any other one, really) is that it’s quite easy to just look into some websites and make decisions based on the keywords used to describe each type. Which is what I used to do. Keywords are helpful to help us get the “basic picture” (hence why I quote them in this post), but now I believe that you have to read actual theory in order to understand the subtle differences between each type and make more educated guesses.
Since then, I’ve been reading more deeply into MBTI and the Functions. Consequently, the way I understand the MBTI has changed significantly, and so have my Headcanons.
It’s been particularly interesting to learn about the Inferior Function, or the “dark side” of each personality type. The more I read about it, it became surprising that how it seemed to describe most of the adventure kids’ characters arcs incredibly well. This is another reason why the combination Chosen Children + MBTI is such a fascinating and fun thought exercise!
It should be noted that different authors can have widely different interpretations of types, which is why, for the sake of simplicity and coherence, I’ve only read 3-4 main sources when preparing this post. And I tried stay away from popular MBTI websites and resources that exist around the internet, most which can have a slightly misleading/superficial vision of each type.
However, this doesn’t mean my HCs are “RIGHT” or that other people can’t have better ideas. I’m as biased about the characters as anyone else. I’d be very happy to hear alternative takes!
***
Taichi - ESTP Dominant function: Se
Flexible and tolerant, they take a pragmatic approach focused on immediate results. Theories and conceptual explanations bore them - they want to act energetically to solve the problem. Focus on the here-and-now, spontaneous, enjoy each moment that they can be active with others. Enjoy material comforts and style. Learn best through doing.
Taichi is pretty easy to type, and most ESTP descriptions fit him nicely. Thompson notes the archetype of ESTP is James Bond and Xena the Warrior Princess; I think the character of Taichi, who represents Courage, fits in the same tradition — a bold, impulsive, adventurous leader who is good at strategizing and is able to make though decisions, but is is also very charismatic and charming.  Taichi’s tendency to become thoughtful, introspective, and indecisive under stress can be explained by the inferior function, Ni.
Yamato - INFP Dominant function: Fi
Idealistic, loyal to their values and to people who are important to them. Want an external life that is congruent with their values. Curious, quick to see possibilities, can be catalysts for implementing ideas. Seek to understand people and to help them fulfill their potential. Adaptable, flexible, and accepting unless a value is threatened.
By contrast, Yamato is always the most difficult to type! I ended up using INFP rather than INFJ, because I think it makes more sense for his dominant function to be Fi (introverted feeling): “Due to the introverted nature of Fi, INFPs’ status as feelers is not always evident from without. When immersed in Fi, they can seem a bit cool, aloof, or indifferent.“ (Drenthe). This type is pretty well representative of Yamato’s caring, passionate and caring side, and especially his conflict during Adventure is beyond, his search for self and meaning. Yamato’s more critical, aggressive, angry, and impetuous side is easily explained by him falling under the influence of the inferior function of this type, Te.
Sora - ENFJ Dominant function: Fe
Warm, empathetic, responsive, and responsible. Highly attuned to the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. Find potential in everyone, want to help others fulfill their potential. May act as catalysts for individual and group growth. Loyal, responsive to praise and criticism. Sociable, facilitate others in a group, and provide inspiring leadership.
Another character who’s relatively difficult to type. I see Sora as being in the middle of many of the Preference axis, hence why I initially typed her as something pretty difference different. But now I’m pretty convinced her dominant function is Fe, even though she’s probably only 51% Extroverted. She leans more towards iNtuition than Sensing: Sora’s definitely someone who can pick up things intuitively, especially when it comes to human relationships. So, ESFJ could probably work as well, but I see her as more of an NF type than a SJ type. Sora’s tendency to become hypersensitive, stubborn and withdrawn when under stress? That’s the inferior function, Ti.
Koushirou - INTJ Dominant function: Ni
Have original minds and great drive for implementing their ideas and achieving their goals. Quickly see patterns in external events and develop long-range explanatory perspectives. When committed, organize a job and carry it through. Skeptical and independent, have high standards of competence and performance - for themselves and others.
This is an example of how learning more about Functions made me change my mind! I believe Koushirou is the text-book definition of INTJ and the Ni function. Koushirou isn’t just someone who thinks — he creates knew knowledge and connects theoretical possibilities. One of the effects of the inferior function of this type, Ni, is an “Obsessive focus on external data”, which means that they can become obsessed with controlling small details, which is what Koushirou tends to do under stress.
Mimi - ESFP Dominant function: Se
Outgoing, friendly, and accepting. Exuberant lovers of life, people, and material comforts. Enjoy working with others to make things happen. Bring common sense and a realistic approach to their work, and make work fun. Flexible and spontaneous, adapt readily to new people and environments. Learn best by trying a new skill with other people.
Mimi is a rather obvious fit for this type, not only with her bubbly and happy exterior, but also her naïveté and compassion towards others (Crest of Purity).
Jou - ISTJ Dominant function: Si
Quiet, serious, earn success by thoroughness and dependability. Practical, matter-of-fact, realistic, and responsible. Decide logically what should be done and work toward it steadily, regardless of distractions. Take pleasure in making everything orderly and organized - their work, their home, their life. Value traditions and loyalty.
Jou’s type seems pretty straightforward. The characteristics of this type to fit him (and the Crest of Honesty) very well. The inferior Function of this type is Ni, manifested as impulsiveness and catastrophizing — classic Jou moves whenever he looses his cool.
Takeru - ENFP Dominant function: Ne
Warmly enthusiastic and imaginative. See life as full of possibilities. Make connections between events and information very quickly, and confidently proceed based on the patterns they see. Want a lot of affirmation from others, and readily give appreciation and support. Spontaneous and flexible, often rely on their ability to improvise and their verbal fluency.
Takeru is REALLY hard to type. Mostly because, just like his brother, he isn’t as transparent as he seems. Behind that charming, open, happy façade, Takeru runs deep. I ended up choosing ENFP is described as the most optimistic of all types (Crest of Hope), and they are very charismatic and inspiring as well. The “dark side” of this type can be hopelessness or depression (see also: tri. Chapter 3!)
Hikari - ISFP Dominant function: Fi
Quiet, friendly, sensitive, and kind. Enjoy the present moment, what's going on around them. Like to have their own space and to work within their own time frame. Loyal and committed to their values and to people who are important to them. Dislike disagreements and conflicts, do not force their opinions or values on others.
Hiakri is another one whose type isn’t obvious, but maybe for different reasons than the other characters I hesitated about — we just don’t see enough of her. I think you can make a strong argument for her being an Intuitive type, but ultimately I think Fi represents her better.
Daisuke - ESFP Dominant function: Se
I know it’s reductive to say Daisuke and Taichi have different personality type, but that’s easy to understand if you see them as being in different stages of type development.
Miyako - ENFP Dominant function: Ne
I’ve always thought Takeru and Miyako are pretty alike, hence why I think they would both fit this type.
Iori - ISTJ Dominant function: Si
Again, Iori and Jou are pretty alike, although at different stages of their personality development. I could see Iori a ISTP/ISTJ, too — to be fair, I haven’t made up my mind totally about him.
Ken - INFJ Dominant function: Ni
Seek meaning and connection in ideas, relationships, and material possessions. Want to understand what motivates people and are insightful about others. Conscientious and committed to their firm values. Develop a clear vision about how best to serve the common good. Organized and decisive in implementing their vision.
I’m just going to go and give Ken INFJ, although I’m not entirely sure it is the best fit. Ken is incredibly complex, but Ni seems to describe him fairly well. And certainly, the “dark side” of Ni, Se, can very well explain why Ken developed his Digimon Kaiser persona.
BONUS
A brief summary of the 8 Functions:
Introverted Intuition (Ni) collects conscious and subconscious information, and then synthesizes it to produce convergent impressions, insights, answers, and theories. It sees deep causes, patterns, and laws underlying sense data. It is characteristically penetrating and insightful.
Extraverted Intuition (Ne) surveys and creatively recombines a breadth of ideas, associations, patterns, and possibilities. It is characteristically innovative, divergent, open-ended, and non-discriminating. Outwardly, Ne users may present as scattered, random, quirky, witty, and ideationally curious.
Introverted Sensing (Si) retains, consolidates, and recollects historical and autobiographical information. It attends to and draws on a concentrated body of past experiences, routines, and traditions (i.e., the “tried and true”). It forgoes the constant pursuit of new or broad experiences, finding safety and security in stability and consistency. It also surveys inner bodily sensations.
Extraverted Sensing (Se) seeks extensive outer stimulation in the “here and now”—new sights, sounds, tastes, experiences, etc. It is open-ended and non-discriminating with respect to new experiences. It can also be associated with image-consciousness and observation skills, displaying a keen eye for detail. Outwardly, it may manifest as a recurrent desire for activities beyond talking (“Let’s do something!”).

“Introverted Thinking (Ti) utilizes deep and nuanced logic to examine techniques, problems, concepts, or theories. It seeks self-regulation and self-optimization through the development of personal skills, methods, and strategies. It takes a skeptical and reductive approach toward knowledge.
Extraverted Thinking (Te) uses explicit logic, including standardized methods, measurements, policies, and procedures, to make systems and operations more rational, efficient, or effective. This often involves working as part of an institution, be it corporate, scientific, academic, etc. Outwardly, Te delivers opinions and directives in a firm, direct, measured, and unemotional fashion. It may at times be perceived as harsh, tactless, or unsympathetic.”
“Introverted Feeling (Fi) explores and refines personal tastes and feelings, contributing to a strong sense of personal uniqueness. It is self-regulating and self-controlling, working to maintain inner emotional and moral order. It may also emotionally invest in a limited number of love objects, be they persons, animals, hobbies, or causes.
Extraverted Feeling (Fe) surveys a breadth of human emotions, values, and morals. It strives toward interpersonal rapport, consensus, and continuity. It can also be associated with effective communication and social intelligence, facilitating growth and transformation in others. Outwardly, it delivers opinions and directives in a direct yet tactful way, often with a sense of emotional urgency and conviction.

Haru Okumura
Tumblr media
INFJ
Functional Order: Ni - Fe - Ti - Se
Trigger warning
This article will contain spoilers about the main plot of the game and Haru’s confidant, as a way to provide the most comprehensive analysis.
On a side note, since Haru has a well-balanced stack, we didn’t focus our article on splitting her mourning from her cognition, due to how well she reacted.
Perceiving Functional Axis
Introverted Intuition (Ni) / Extroverted Sensing (Se)
Haru isn’t a textbook INFJ, but her stack is well balanced. This is especially true considering how well she reacted to her father’s death, never falling into loops or grips. Even if she isn’t the stereotypical INFJ, her dominant Ni is sound and only improves during her confidant. When we first meet Haru, she doesn’t even take into account the option to use Ni as a tool to assess her future: since her father owns a big company in the food market, he planned an arranged marriage for her, thus preserving the wellness of his business.
After her father’s death, though, Haru finds herself in a tough position. Talking about cognition, her Ni shows during her confidant, in which Haru understands how she can’t live her life following blindly her father’s will or, even worse, being under the influence of shareholders who only want to take advantage of her for the sake of mere profit. Therefore, Haru begins to question herself about what she really wants to do and her answer is to develop her passion for coffee beans and vegetables into a business, similarly to her grandfather’s café.
This is also a clear indicator of her well-developed inferior Se. Haru defines a concrete, plausible plan using Se as a tool to realize her wish. She doesn’t think about an abstract and intangible idea, she neither ruminates on future possibilities. On contrary, she listens to the protagonist’s advices, she clears her mind, and then she speaks to Okumura’s Food shareholders about her future in the company. So, in the end, she can follow her dream by taking concrete steps.
Haru’s inferior Se is initially less balanced though, she blindly follows Morgana without thinking about the consequences of her actions, and thus she finds herself questioning her behaviours. But as a healthy Se user, when the team tells her the truth she no longer lies to herself and accepts reality as it is.
Haru further nurtures her inferior Se growing vegetables on Shujin Academy’s rooftop. This may seem a little detail, especially compared to how her Se plays a role in her search for a meaningful activity to do as a living. But practical hobbies that require to use one’s senses are in general a great way to nurture inferior Se and Haru does it in a surprisingly healthy way.
Judging Functional Axis
Extroverted Feeling (Fe) / Introverted Thinking (Ti)
Haru is deeply concerned with the environment’s emotional state and her main focus is on the well-being of her teammates. When the phantom thieves help her to defeat Okumura’s shadow, she invites them to spend a night at Tokyo Destinyland, making a reservation for the entire park. Even in more trivial situations, Haru is always focused on people: she’s extremely polite, be it in face-to-face interactions or on the group chat, never stepping on someone’s toes, because breaking social harmony scares her and she really wants to get along with everyone.
Haru also has a surprisingly balanced Fe, especially considering how she reacted to her father’s death. She initially suspected the phantom thieves but, to be honest, this is a human reaction to a tragic event that left her in sorrow and without a stable emotional support system. Yet, after few days, Haru apologizes with the group, thus she starts again to use her Fe in an healthy way.
During her confidant, Haru’s Fe aids her dominant Ni when she tries to define a suitable and meaningful future for herself. Her wish to open a coffee chain like her grandfather did isn’t only a choice driven by Ni, as she also cares about how this activity will positively impact the life of her customers. Haru then uses her Fe to influence the emotional environment of Okumura’s Food shareholders. She takes action (Se) with a clear goal in mind (Ni), aware of her role in the company (Ti), to find a common ground for everyone (Fe).
Haru’s Fe is paired with tertiary Ti, although finding clues about her Ti isn’t simple. During her confidant, Haru takes her time to dissect Okumura’s Food, so she can understand “the rules of the game” and create an internal logical system to apply in her decision-making process. She then figures out the hierarchy in the company and the dynamics underlying it (this is also due to her Fe). So, even if the game focuses more on her tendency to ease the emotional environment and her research of a meaningful activity to do as a living, her Ti shows a little in her confidant. At the same time, Haru never makes choices based on the most efficient way to solve a problem and her approach is always people-oriented, which excludes Te from the equation. And given how we think it’s undeniable that Haru has Fe in a high position in the stack and that she’s an introvert, this implies tertiary Ti by a process of elimination. Finally, as a teenager, it’s common to have a tertiary function not so evident.
Also typed as: INFP, ISFJ
Another consideration about Haru revolves around how Ni and Fe may mimic Fi when placed in high positions in the stack. Haru’s auxiliary Fe is clearly visible in all her behaviours, but for the sake of discussion we would like to distinguish it from dominant Fi.
Ni and Fi are both introverted function, thus they are subjective. The biggest difference between them resides in how Ni searches for a meaningful future, opposed to how Fi prioritizes activities which enhance and express one’s sense of self. Dominant Ni, even if subjective, operates as a perceiving function, thus the judgement stems from the auxiliary one: Te or Fe. As we stated above, it is clear how Haru aids her choices not with a logical and efficient approach (Te), but rather with one based on people’s well-being (Fe). Dominant Fi may lead an IxFP to pursue a people-based cause, but Haru does it as a way to create and maintain social harmony, not because she thinks it’s right or her duty.
So, even if one doesn’t clearly see how Fe is Haru’s judging function, Fi can also be excluded since it implies Te and because there’s a difference between what is subjectively perceived as meaningful through Ni and what is subjectively felt as meaningful through Fi.
Another take on Haru’s type is ISFJ. We don’t think Haru is a Si-dom because her methods and motivations doesn’t remind of Si. As always, understanding the difference between two function is a process based on cognition rather than behaviours. Sure she is quiet and maybe one could say she’s traditionalist, but dominant Si means using the past and the information one gained as a constant comparison to find patterns that worked well and that can be applied to the present. Haru doesn’t do that, as her focus lays way more in the future and in how she envisions a meaningful outcome in her life.Haru doesn’t look at the future in a stereotyped Ni-dom way, something people may misinterpret as future forecasting or mind-reading. Haru, on the other hand, tries to unravel abstract patterns, thus finding what she really want to do as a lifelong activity. So, in a less stereotyped and more realistic process, Haru relies on her dominant Ni to delve into possibilities. Ni doesn’t only refer to the actualization of a single vision, since it’s tied to Se: a healthy Ni must consider more than one option and need to be flexible enough to adapt its vision to reality and its limits. What Haru does may seem simple: to open a business creating a pleasant environment for her customers. However, since society is complex and subject to constant change, this is a more tangled puzzle to solve.
So, especially seeing how many people unfortunately mistake Ni and Si motives with stereotypes based on the future and the past, it’s easy to mistype an INFJ as an ISFJ or vice-versa. The real difference is between how and why Haru consider the past and the future, not the mere focus on one or both of them.
Let’s look at both Makoto (ISTJ) and Haru’s confidant themes.
Makoto lived her life in a box with a narrow-minded attitude. At first she asks protagonist for help because she feels she reached a limit and wants to broaden her horizons and be more open (inferior Ne), and in the process she finds the true meaning of her studies and learns to be less judgy (healthy tertiary Fi).
Haru, on the other hand, perfectly knows that marrying Sugimura isn’t what will make her happy, but she needs to build the confidence to speak about it to the company because she doesn’t want to damage other people with a choice perceived as selfish (a problem tied to auxiliary Fe). Haru also knows that she want to create a meaningful business which can be both expression of her ideals and a place where people can find comfort. She spends some time reflecting upon it, but the association with her grandfather’s café doesn’t come because it was a thing that worked well in the past and that can be replied (on contrary, the shop wasn’t profitable), but rather because it’s something that’s close to her personal idea of a nice place built around people.

FE3H MBTI [Dimitri — ISFJ]
Tumblr media
lol so. it looks like a lot of people are subscribing to the idea that dimitri is an ENFJ, in contrast to edelgard, who is supposedly an ENTJ. i believe that misses the point of these characters — and their dynamic — almost entirely, especially in dimitri’s case. while i will say i think edelgard is an INTJ, at least that isn’t too far off from ENTJ. the cognitive difference between ISFJ and ENFJ though...oh boy, where do i start.
the whole dimitri/edelgard conflict isn’t so much a clash between Fe and Te as it is a clash between Si and Ni — with dimitri, of course, representing the former. Fe vs Te does come into play a little (ISFJ’s auxiliary Fe vs INTJ’s auxiliary Te), but i honestly think the main focus of their clash is the past vs future dynamic typical of Si/Ni conflict.
ISFP seems to be a popular choice for dimitri too, but tbh i think a lot of people are mistaking his Si for Fi. i just want to say, right now, that this man...does not have Fi. lol. not in his main functions anyway (yes i will be getting into shadow functions, and cognitive loops, and all that good stuff, so if that’s not your cup of tea then here’s your warning!) ...but yeah let’s get into it.
Dominant Si
“I must never forget that day. I must never allow their deaths to be forgotten.”
dimitri has a very strong connection to the past. and this doesn’t just apply to his past, but to the concept of the past in general. in stark contrast to edelgard, dimitri vehemently believes in “preserving what deserves to be preserved,” which is an important factor in why his methods are far less radical than hers. he believes it’s possible to improve the system currently in place without tearing it from the ground up the way edelgard does. he places a lot more focus on honoring the fallen, on reminiscing about days gone by, and on respecting tradition in general. and this isn’t to say he’s a dense fuck. dimitri is very much capable of criticizing tradition where it’s due, and we see him do this on multiple occasions. it’s just that he has a lot more appreciation for the positive aspects of tradition/“the past” which edelgard seems to ignore completely. where edelgard wishes her “worthless dreams of the past” would go away, dimitri legit admits to relying on his headaches/nightmares of the past as reminders because he is genuinely afraid to forget the faces of those he “let die,” along with those he killed. he believes forgetting their faces would be an insult to their memory. he talks about his history with edelgard far more than she talks about her history with him. he becomes furious when edelgard’s forces attack the holy tomb and “desecrate the dead.” i think you guys get where i’m going with this. while it’s true that a substantial amount of dimitri’s connection to the past is unhealthy, that’s largely due to the trauma he suffers, along with the cognitive imbalance stemming from his Si-Ti loop. obsessing over the past the way dimitri does is far more indicative of an unhealthy Si user than it is of shadow Si, which is more likely to just abandon the past altogether...or uh, “trample the past underfoot” (looking at you, hegemon edelgard).
“I owe you, just as I owe the spirits of those I let die.”
second point — duty. (i’m guessing this is the point a lot of people confuse for Fi. dimtiri’s pretty preachy, yeah, but not all talk about justice is inherently rooted in Fi. more on that later though.) this guy literally constructs his entire life around the idea of fulfilling his duty, be it his duty to his father, his duty to dedue’s people, his duty to his kingdom, etc. he constantly talks about his need to fulfill these duties, and pretty much all the effort he puts into anything is driven by this. even his earlier, more light-hearted supports tend to carry a running theme of him making promises (which he takes almost comedically seriously), encouraging his classmates to be responsible, creating debts to be repaid, and so on. the only reason he even goes to the academy in the first place is, by his own admission, to fulfill what he perceives as his duty as the Sole Survivor of the Tragedy of Duscur™. obsessive revenge is a fucked up conception of duty, sure, but it transforms into something healthier by the end of the story while remaining very distinctly Si. his duty to ghosts becomes his duty to the living — to the people in his kingdom who need him now. essentially, he develops a more constructive attitude toward duty that helps both him and the people he constantly feels he “owes.” my boi snaps out of his Si-Ti loop and becomes a bro again once dat aux Fe and inf Ne come back to balance shit out, y’know what i’m saying? anyway speaking of aux Fe,
Auxiliary Fe
“This victory is the result of everyone’s hard work. Thank you, my friends.”
academy phase dimitri (and i guess uh...post-post-timeskip dimitri) is just about the nicest guy ever. he can be stiff and awkward to the point of being comically serious at times, sure (thanks dominant Si), but he’s generally very polite and agreeable. he’s conscious of the atmosphere in his conversations and always makes an effort to keep things comfortable for everyone involved. tbh he could make do with less of the whole constantly-falling-over-himself-apologizing thing, and it would be kinda cool if “sorry” didn’t make up over 90% of his dialogue, but i digress. regret is dimitri’s middle name so it kinda makes sense for it to permeate even his most mundane interactions. ANYWAY my point is — dimitri’s always trying to make sure everyone gets along and he generally prioritizes harmony over being fully honest about his own feelings, which strikes me as a lot more Fe than Fi. a simple but hopefully effective example of this is his support with flayn where he eats her awful fucking food and tells her it’s delicious even though he can’t taste it. he later admits to her that he was only saying what he thought she’d want to hear, which is like...peak Fe my dudes. a good chunk of his support and even main story dialogue involves him trying to smooth things over, prevent conflict, let people know they did a good job, and so on. and this isn’t just with respect to the other blue lions, but to the other house leaders as well. a lot of the praise he dishes out commends hard work and effort (thanks dominant Si), but his focus is also largely on teamwork and cooperation.
“I saved someone—saved you. That and that alone has always been my crutch.”
now on to the darker side of...not-so-healthy Fe users. dimitri openly admits to dedue that saving him gave him a reason to live, that it makes him think it was worthwhile that someone “like [him]” survived. and this savior complex doesn’t just apply to his relationship with dedue, but to his behavior and decisions in general. it’s exacerbated by the sense of genuine responsibility and duty he attaches to everything (thanks dominant Si), and it sparks up in many different ways. he admits that he feels like it’s his responsibility to help the orphans at the monastery, since he lost his family like they did. he tells byleth he wants to become like rodrigue, whom he describes as “someone who can reach out and save a lost soul.” he apologizes to byleth for not being able to save jeralt (?? BRUH.) he begs byleth to tell him how he can “save” the ghosts of his loved ones, even though they’re...you know. dead. i think this prob comes from his endless regret that he couldn’t actually stop anyone from dying in the tragedy, so he’s just obsessed with saving everyone he can now. in any case, dimitri feels the pain of loss in war very, very acutely, which is why he freaks the fuck out in remire. he later admits the flames in remire reminded him of the flames in duscur, which flung him into the same rage he associates with what happened in duscur, even though he had no particular connection to the villagers in remire. he absorbs the suffering of people around him like a sponge and surprise surprise it breaks his mind. eventually his Fe gets overloaded af and shuts down (hello Si-Ti loop), but even unhinged dimitri shows an occasional connection to others’ feelings — endearingly so when he pats a random orphan’s head, and eerily so when he sympathizes with fleche’s bloodlust and allows her to join the party because of it.
Tertiary Ti
“He’s dead. There goes our chance to gain more information.”
dimitri’s introverted realm is one of Si and Ti. he wants to reconcile his understanding of what happened in the past with a logical, substantial explanation, and he works tirelessly to find this explanation. this becomes increasingly apparent when he actually spends time alone — when he isn’t in the company of others, dimitri is far more research-oriented than he is overtly sentimental. he is interested in learning the facts of his circumstances, and he spends hours in the library looking for answers, trying to find out for himself what really happened. he is skeptical of the generally accepted “truth” that duscur itself is to blame, and instead believes that the blame foisted on it is meant to cover up something far more underhanded. of course, he is right about this, and he conducts as much research as he can to get to the bottom of the event. he spends hours in the library, late into the night. he reads about his uncle, lord arundel, and immediately suspects his involvement because the church’s records of his donations abruptly stop right before the tragedy. dimitri questions the man himself about this during their brief encounter pre-timeskip, though it (predictably) doesn’t really lead anywhere. he tries this again post-timeskip, but arundel dies before dimitri can pry too much out of him, which the latter bitterly laments.
“That is merely the logic of the living. It’s meaningless.”
much like dimitri’s Si, his Ti becomes warped once he enters his Si-Ti loop — feeding into a harsh, twisted, self-deprecating sort of logic that only reinforces itself and ignores other viewpoints (thanks to Fe and Ne shutting down). he becomes uncharacteristically blunt and critical, and the colder, more cynical view of the world we see glimpses of pre-timeskip becomes far more pronounced. in his mind, it doesn’t make sense for the living to move on in hopes of appeasing the dead. turning a blind eye to the dead is blasphemous, and anyone who believes that the dead would want the living to do so is merely adopting “the logic of the living” — a delusion to make themselves feel better. this belief likely helps him rationalize his own desire for revenge, and inability to let go of his past, and so the Si-Ti loop reinforces itself. to reiterate though, dimitri’s Ti is incredibly helpful and constructive when he isn’t loopy (ahahah. get it.) but anyway yeah, in short, his analytical process is typically far more introverted than the sensitive, emotion-focused approach he maintains externally. also, his attention to detail and refusal to accept things at face value are more subtle, covert elements of his personality, but they are definitely there. it’s not as pronounced as claude’s auxiliary Ti, sure, but tertiary Ti ain’t a force to be reckoned with either.
Inferior Ne
“Lineage, race, faith, ideologies... If we could just accept each other and make mutual concessions, one step at a time... Perhaps... Who knows if that’s even possible.”
again, this is one of claude’s functions but more baby. take upside down man’s dominant Ne and make it a bit smoller, more scared, and quicker to shut down. inferior Ne is brilliant, but unfortunately the fourth function tends to be one of insecurity. dimitri aspires to be open-minded and accepting (there’s a reason the inferior function is sometimes called the aspirational function), but it’s something he admittedly struggles with at times. he believes in compromise and understanding, and not just in an Fe way — dimitri advocates for reaching out to other perspectives in war, in politics, and in various other contexts throughout the story. it isn’t the first thing on his mind, but it’s an ideal he genuinely admires. and later in the game, once he snaps out of his loop (which is inherently tunnel-visioned due to its introverted nature), he opens up to the idea again and seeks to understand edelgard’s point of view. he asks to speak with her, to get a better idea of where she’s coming from, to negotiate and hopefully reach a mutual understanding. this echoes his dialogue in chapter 3, where he laments the incident with lord lonato and expresses his belief that they shouldn’t have cut him down, but talked to him instead. dimitri’s Si-Ti loop effectively shuts this desire down, for a very long time, but it finally wakes up again once byleth reminds him “there must be another way.”
“I wonder which is best, Professor... To cut away that which is unacceptable, or to find a way to accept it anyway.”
again, as long as byleth is there to steer him back on track, we all know the answer dimitri gets to this in the end. there is always an air of uncertainty about it all — and he definitely needs someone to help kick that inferior into “aspirational mode” — but he is ultimately capable of it. it begins as more of a question than anything, but with guidance it becomes an ideal he can properly believe in and seek for himself. it’s what allows him to finally reach for edelgard’s hand in the end. once he accepts the parts of himself he previously couldn’t, he finds himself able to accept edelgard as well — to extend that same mercy to her. once he’s out of his loop, he doesn’t just regain awareness of his loved ones’ needs with Fe, but becomes invested in understanding their perspectives and motivations again with Ne. he listens to people again, lets them help him, asks them questions, and shows genuine curiosity in their answers. claude would be proud eh?
Shadow Functions
okay here we go. i’m going to make this part shorter since it’s the main functions that matter most, and i know not everyone subscribes to the idea of shadow functions. but anyway here’s the dirt.
Opposing Se
“It’s not that I have grown weary...more that I find it difficult to be around everyone at the moment.”
this man literally cannot taste food. do i even need to elaborate? okay for real though, dimitri often finds it hard to remain present. he’s often caught up in his duties with Si, or worrying about the atmosphere with Fe, or stuck in his research with Ti, and so on. he is very much capable of making pleasant conversation, but actually feeling present is very difficult for him, and he even goes so far as to describe joy as “fleeting.” he struggles to enjoy festivities, claiming they “don’t suit [him],” and prefers instead to chat with byleth about his childhood. he can’t truly enjoy the meals he eats with others, but he remarks about the dishes he “used to love as a child.” trauma aside, dimitri finds genuine comfort in reminiscing about the past, and he often brings it up in his conversations with others. this is a classic dynamic between dominant Si and the opposing Se that comes along with it.
Critic Fi
“Whatever my feelings, it is all the act of a monster.”
dimitri’s personal feelings are...very, very low on his priority list. and despite all his preaching, he ultimately believes that whatever his personal moral compass may be, it doesn’t justify his actions. and he extends this belief to everyone else as well. simply put, dimitri doesn’t think any set of ideals or morals can justify the actions committed in war. as Aleczandxr words it, “the only reality of war is tragedy for him. there is no such thing as a ‘glorious’ or ‘romantic’ death, and sacrifice is blasphemy.” this is evident in his disgust at people trying to glorify glenn’s death (which dimitri ironically shares with felix — who of course has demon Fi — but that’s a topic for another time.) no subjective concept of morality could possibly justify murder, in any context, and this belief is a burden dimitri admits he believes he will carry forever. dimitri’s introverted realm is a reconciliation between Si and Ti, not Si and Fi. although he believes this should apply to everyone in theory, he often struggles to voice it outright, leading to the hypocritical dynamic that often comes with auxiliary Fe and critic Fi. an example of this is when he tells ashe not to beat himself up for what happened with lord lonato, in an attempt to comfort him, but then proceeds to beat himself up for the exact same thing as soon as ashe leaves. furthermore, the advice he gives marianne in his support with her is to understand that she doesn’t have to “force [her]self to smile as [her] soul bleeds,” though that is exactly what he does for the majority of the academy phase. in any case, the fact that he chooses to give her this specific advice, of all things, is telling.
Trickster Te
“I do not want you to die a death like that. Not even for the sake of loyalty or duty.”
dimitri struggles with efficiency. his intense loathing of sacrifice, regardless of context, makes it very difficult for him to strategize as a commander the way that edelgard does. his rational side is, for the most part, internal; he uses it for his research, his theorizing, his personal endeavors to obtain more information and better understand his circumstances. but he struggles to apply that same level of cold, hard logic while commanding his troops, especially in battle. this comes up in his support with ingrid, who remarks that any good king innately understands some of his soldiers’ lives must be sacrificed for the greater good. she then proceeds to call dimitri’s ideals soft-hearted, which is as good an encapsulation as any of how his Te compares to edelgard’s. war and battlefields aside, dimitri struggles with being harsh in general, preferring to speak to others in softer, more personal terms rather than being blunt. he translates his Ti findings into “acceptable” Fe terms, except for when he enters a loop and said Fe shuts down. during these phases, dimitri is harsh in a manner far more characteristic of “unfiltered” Ti than it is of unrestrained Te, as he snaps at others to leave him alone more than he is inclined to order them around.
Demon Ni
“Do I have the right to live for myself?”
as soon as dimitri snaps out of his Si-Ti revenge craze, his first instinct is to ask who or what he should live for now. and even after byleth tells him to live for what he believes in, it’s very clear in dimitri’s subsequent supports that “what he believes in” is still fulfilling his duty to his kingdom. the difference is that he now has a healthier conception of said duty, and is finally open to accepting his loved ones’ support. that said, he has never been naturally inclined to follow his more personal desires, plainly admitting that he has rarely — if ever — given his own dreams any thought. furthermore, he struggles considerably with looking toward the future, and is unable to do so without byleth, who needs to physically stop him from looking back and guide him onward in the final cutscene. even at his healthiest, dimitri is a defender of the past. he criticizes edelgard by asking her if she would really force people to “throw their lives away for the future,” and warns her that regardless of how strongly she believes in her vision, the future she creates will be “built on a foundation of tears.” this is because he understands, better than most, just how critical the past can be in any individual’s life.
Conclusion
the internet needs to stop hating Si and just let characters be well-written “and Si” at the same time lol. especially in such obvious, practically textbook cases of high Si. one of the most common arguments against Si dimitri is that his devotion to the past is only caused by his trauma, and “isn’t the real him.” the fact of the matter is, dimitri’s Si manifests in so much more than just his duty to avenge the fallen. it plays a huge role in so many other elements of his personality, as do the other functions that come with being an ISFJ. i’m tired of these implications that Ni is some inherently higher, “healthier” form of being lying under literally any indication of Si, which automatically gets discarded as trauma or something lmao. c’mon guys ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

7KPP MBTI - over-long and completely unedited meta
I’m just copy/pasting this from my notes software with no editing. If you’re brave enough to read the whole thing, more power to you. It’s about 3K words all in all.
I was in a doctor's waiting room this morning (I have the flu and I was waiting for a chest x-ray) and while I waited, I was thinking about some recent thoughts I had about D&F, and how they've changed my mind on some MBTI typings I've had for the 7KPP NPCs. I've been musing on the MBTI subject on and off for as long as I've been playing the game (first post here: https://leahazel.tumblr.com/post/126655090075/congratulations-on-the-kickstarter-also-if), and I've typed most of my own MCs and other OCs. In fact, for some of them, their MBTI and enneagram types are pretty central to their character arc.
But some characters are more well-developed than others, and some are quite difficult to type. And, of course, impressions are subjective. Since I'm fluish and too tired to actually write any fanfic (I have several unfinished), I might as well do a proper post of all my typings.
If I were at full strength, I'd so a whole resources section with links about what MBTI is and how it works. Since I'm not, I'll give the bare minimum background. MBTI is a personality typing system based on Jungian cognitive function theory. You can find everything from official descriptions written by professionals, to jokey quizzes and Tumblr memes, all over the internet. My favorite fannish MBTI account is @funkymbtifiction. I love their character typings and I rely on them for nuanced takes on the different types.
Without getting too much into my typing philosophy, here are the 7KPP NPCs, grouped somewhat arbitrarily.
Introverted sensing types
The four types marked SJ use the introverted sensing function as either their primary or auxiliary cognitive function. Stereotypically, Si-using types are hidebound, dutiful and traditional, reliable but also stubborn and rigid. Certainly unhealthy SJ types act like this a lot of the time. More mature, healthier people of the same types have access to all of Si's strengths -- an eye for detail, conscientious work ethic, a strong sense of honor -- while being aware of their weaknesses, and compensating for them.
ISTJ - Cordelia and Jasper are both ISTJ types. They share some of the same strengths and vulnerabilities. Both are very emotionally contained, but have difficulty expressing affection openly. At the same time, they have a strong moral compass and inner sense of right and wrong. This is typical of the Te/Fi function pair in the secondary/tertiary positions. Both of them have personal dilemmas and character journeys revolving around the tension between tradition and novelty. When frustrated or at a loss, they're prone to retreating into loops of rumination (Si-Fi loop), or spiraling into anxiety about future possibilities and everything that can possibly go wrong (inferior Ne). Cordelia is the more stable of the two. When we meet Jasper, he's already in the midst of a personal crisis. I suspect Sayra is also an ISTJ and generally write her with this type in mind, but not enough is known of her to pin her type down.
ISFJ - Penelope and Ria are both ISFJ types. Both of them are kind, gentle and helpful as ISFJs often (stereotypically) are, and are prone to putting other people's needs ahead of their own, as Fe-users often are. ISFJs thrive on the power of friendship and community, and excel at promoting harmony for the benefit of all. Disharmony, cruelty and rudeness make them anxious and upset, but they also possess hidden reservoirs of both fortitude and courage, especially in defense of others. As Si-users, they have a keen appreciation for the aesthetics of small, everyday details, and as Fe-users, they feel a strong need to put up a persona that reflects what others expect of them. When their desires are at odds with group harmony, they can struggle to assert themselves. Both Penelope and Ria have character arcs that show them to be strongly motivated by a sense of justice and fairness, being stronger than they initially appear to be, and willing to come into conflict with established mores when necessary.
ESTJ - General Falon is an ESTJ, and I believe he's the only one out of the characters I've named here (there are some characters that I don't feel I know enough about to type). As Falon is a minor character and not very well-developed, he adheres closely to ESTJ stereotypes and doesn't provide much nuance. He's driven by duty and honor and values tradition, hierarchy and efficiency. When driven out of his comfort zone he becomes easily flustered. He has a hard time seeing things from other people's point of view, is weak at diplomacy, and his discourse style lacks tact. Many traits that are typical of the extroverted thinking function.
ESFJ - Emmett and Lisle are both ESFJ types, and both pretty typical, although in slightly different ways. Here's the controversial part: I now think Jarrod is also an ESFJ, and I'll explain why, but I want to start with the simpler, more linear characterization.
ESFJ types use extroverted feeling as their leading cognitive function. It's a powerful emotional function that excels at both reading people's behavior and intentions, and reflecting that behavior back at them. Fe-dom types, when healthy, switch handily between personas appropriate to their surroundings, they know how to read the room's mood, and when they want to influence people, they know how to form an argument that's tailored to their conversation partner. On the downside, Fe-users can get lost in their masks or lose sight of their own goals, because they read other people's desires so readily. When supported by Si, introverted sensing, their desire for stability and continuity can hinder them from considering the possibilities of positive change. They can be cautious to a fault. Lisle is a typical ESFJ and his difficulty in opening up about negative emotions can be attributed his the Fe-driven desire to promote social harmony above all. Emmett does not initially seem like an SJ type or a J type at all, because judging types are not usually perceived as being as open-minded and easy-going as he is. This however is more of an adaptation to the circumstances his family life thrust him into, not by his own decision, and Emmett several times expresses a desire for a more stable home and family life.
Now, about Jarrod. On the face of it, his behavior is more consistent with a thinking type than a feeling type. He has no patience for anything soft or tender, he's quite aggressive and demanding, comfortable handing out orders. These are behaviors associated especially with extroverted thinking, which would make one think he should be an ESTJ or ENTJ. Likely ESTJ, since he shows a clear preference for a stable subjective sensory environment, typical of an Si-user. In fact, I'd initially typed him as ESTJ and I was comfortable with that typing until recently. However! You can't type a character based only on a type's weaknesses. If he's really an ESTJ, he should have an ESTJ's strengths, too. Looking at General Falon, he might be hidebound and inflexible, but he's also hard-working, efficient, and has the kind of natural air of authority that's so useful to a general. Jarrod yells at servants, but struggles to get them to obey his orders. He's not very organized or efficient, and can't manage to wake up on time even with a battery of servants at his disposal. The only sphere he shows any discipline in at all is his physical training. He's... not very smart, and his week one dialogue shows a lack of basic strategic understanding, quite aside from being tragically ill-informed. Jarrod doesn't act like an ESTJ, he acts like someone trying to be an ESTJ and failing, badly.
In MBTI circles, a lot is made of statistics that show that thinking types are disproportionately men, and feeling types are disproportionately female. This affects a lot of people's self-typing, because it introduces bias. Gender norms in the 7KPP universe are based on our own, and while we haven't seen a lot of direct evidence of the idea that men are inherently more logical and less emotional than women... it's not implausible that this belief is just as common in the Seven Kingdoms as it is in reality. Jarrod's particular flavor of "rationality" looks a lot more like the rationalization of a feeling type, in the grip of his inferior thinking function. The Si/Ne function pair still fits, and so ESFJ is my conclusion. I would elaborate and say that the mimicking abilities  of extroverted feeling as a dominant function are especially suited to a young person attempting to emulate a stronger personality in order to gain acceptance and social cachet.
...Wow. That was long.
Extroverted sensing types:
SPs, sensing perceiving types, are very different from sensing judging types. The sensory cognitive function they use is extroverted, less subjective and personal than Si, more grounded in external reality. This makes them more flexible but also more disorganized. Part of the reason why so many cast members are Si-users is because the Summit itself is such a socially rigid environment, where perceiving types in general are less likely to fit in. Se-users especially are more impulsive and that's reflected well in the two main SP types in the cast, Hamin and Anaele. Both of them struggle with the strictures of the Summit's schedule and rigid behavioral codes, and are constantly seeking outlets for their enormous physical and social energy.
Aly has said explicitly that Hamin is an ESFP, and that tracks. His superficial behavior is driven overwhelmingly by the demands of the energetic Se function, which demands a lot of attention and forms most of his public persona, his reputation. His quieter, more hidden side is emotionally driven and has a strong moral core looking for an outlet, both in terms of his desire to do right in the world, and in terms of his strong interpersonal relationships. Subtler still, you can see the signs of his tertiary function, Te, in his leadership ability and his efficiency in accomplishing tasks -- as long as he deems them important enough to be worth his attention (Fi-Te). Thinking about the future makes him anxious, because his future-oriented inferior Ni function is weak and under-developed. That's the main thrust of his personal character arc.
I went back and forth on Anaele, but eventually typed her as an ESTP. ESTP and ESFP types can appear similar some of the time, simply because the leading function is so extroverted it can overwhelm the expression of the auxiliary function, especially in public. Ana's Ti function isn't always super obvious, but her tertiary Fe is evident in her constantly struggling with the idea of social consensus and social responsibility. Her reputation and the reputation of her warriors is important to her, as is Skalt's standing among the kingdoms and her standing with her mother. At the same time, she resents the need to fit in and to conform herself to other people's ideas about who she is and how she should behave. She also has some of the positive aspects of tertiary Fe, she can be charming and reassuring and supportive, and generally has a good grasp of how to influence the mood of the room, when she's willing to put in the effort. Her insistence on speaking with Skaltic cadences even though she knows they sound wrong to the speakers of the common language is exactly the kind of stubborn oppositional behavior typical of ESTPs who like to provoke a reaction, without necessarily thinking through what they're provoking.
Jaslen and Blain are also probably ESP types, but I'm not confident about their typing, at least not enough to pin a specific type.
Introverted intuition types:
NJ types are targets for all sorts of stereotypes and mystification in MBTI communities. In fiction, they often appear as extraordinary characters, world-changing types, great heroes or villains or even mentors. The Ni function is described as being big picture oriented, very abstract, intuitive and futuristic. Judging intuitives sometimes seem to be reaching for "a target no one else can see", which is probably why they're often seen as being intellectual or artistic geniuses. Or, at least, really good at faking it. NJ types in the 7KPP universe are usually characters who are hiding important secrets, mostly about things bigger than themselves. They're driven by great conviction and not easily derailed from their plans.
ENFJ: Aly has stated that this is her type and also Clarmont's type, and in fact a significant part of his characterization seems to revolve around it. Feeling types are more ethically-driven than thinking types, at least stereotypically, and Clarmont is not an exception. He has a vision for the future that he's willing to sacrifice for. He has deep convictions, but he's also able to dine and dance with his mortal enemies, without betraying his true thoughts or feelings. In fact, he so excels at hiding his intentions that the Matchmaker makes a point of remarking on it.
INFJ: Look, I know I just said that feeling types are ethical, but the prototypical INFJ in the 7KPP verse is Gisette. It's easiest to explain by contrasting her with Avalie. Both Gisette and Avalie show certain common traits: they are contained, composed, ambitious, manipulative, and unscrupulous. They both know how to pull people's strings and like peeking inside people's heads to see through to their true intentions. The difference is, the way they do it is different. Avalie is a thinking type, and she operates like a chess player. She sets people in scenarios that cause them to reveal themselves. Gisette is an INFJ, and her auxiliary function is extroverted feeling. To execute her grand vision (Ni), she manipulates people through social convention, using gossip to tear down reputations and carefully curating her own public image. Gisette's weak one event is absolutely typical of an amoral FE-user. She doesn't hesitate to use the power of social convention to position people according to her needs. He tertiary Ti function shines through in her tactical thinking skills, and her inferior Se function is apparent in her love of fashion, as well as her ability to pounce on opportunities when her carefully laid plans go awry.
As a side note, I believe that Countess Yvette is also an INFJ, but it's harder to gather evidence for it, since she has a fairly minor role, all in all.
INTJ: Avalie and Woodly are both INTJs. INTJ is often touted as the chessmaster type, and it makes perfect sense as a type for people who prefer pulling strings in the background, as opposed to openly passing out orders, like General Falon. Not much more to be said about that, except that the manifestation of INTJ functions can be affected by social convention. Avalie is an attractive young woman and Woodly is an older man who is much more socially established, and naturally this affects how agreeably they interact with others. Thinking types are not stereotypically known as being particularly polite or graceful, in the social sense. But, the introverted intuition function is very calculating, and the extroverted thinking function is results-driven. With time, a woman with a TJ type can learn to mimic behaviors that create the illusion of the feminine softness that's expected of her. Avalie in particular does this very well.
ENTJ: My second controversial typing, I insist that Zarad is an ENTJ. The persona he puts up is that of an ESFP, like Hamin, but as his opening narration says, no one whose reputation is that consistent can be exactly what he seems. Zarad's public persona, that of the careless flirt and black sheep, is a bit too much of a textbook description of an ESFP. It lacks the depth and nuance of Hamin's internal conflict. Putting up an elaborate facade for years on end is not something that an Fi-user, like an ESFP, is typically proficient in. A judging type is more likely to succeed at this, specifically either an Fe-dom or a Te-dom. The reason why I zeroed in on ENTJ for his true type, is that ENTJs and ESFPs have the same cognitive functions, but in a different stacking. This commonality would allow Zarad to more effectively access the thought process that would be typical of the type he's assuming -- it's all there under the surface, it's just not his natural, instinctual behavior. I also think part of the reason that he and Hamin collaborate so well is that they're not the same type, but rather they complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. The confounding factor is that the difference between Hamin and Zarad is not just in type, but in environment. Hamin definitely couldn't maintain the type of long-term deceit that Zarad engages in, but maybe an ESFP who was raised in the secretive and backstabbing Corvali imperial court could.
Extroverted intuitive function:
The only NP type in the cast, as far as I can tell, is Lyon. He is canonically an INTP, which Aly has confirmed is based on several of her family members. His introverted thinking function fixates on the idea of an internal, consistent and logical inner world, at the cost of interacting with the messy and subjective outer world. This causes him to rationalize emotional behavior patterns and close himself off. As part of his character arc, the auxiliary function of extroverted intuition opens up possibilities for him, because what Ne excels at most is offering up lots of alternative explanations based on existing parameters. For example, "what if not everyone hates me?" or, "what if sometimes things actually go right?" I'm being sarcastic about this because I'm an Ne-user myself, so I'm allowed.
Odds and ends:
Minor characters like Imogen and Mrs. White don't have types, because we don't know them well enough. Specifically, we don't get to contrast their typical, healthy behavior with their behavior under stress. Kade, Leala and Greer don't yet have types or enough characterization for typing, but based on my intuition and what I've learned about Aly's writing, I have preliminary predictions. Leala is probably an ESFP like Hamin. Greer is most likely an INTP, or else possibly an ISTJ or even ESTJ. I would guess that she's an introvert, but as her leading function is definitely a thinking one (as her blunt speaking style reveals), Te-dom is also a possibility. Kade is a bit of a wild card, but I'm placing bets on either ISTP or ENTP, just for the sake of novelty.
Among my own problem princesses, I have an assortment of at least three quarters of the types. Least represented are the FP types, excepting Princess Felicity, who's an ENFP, and widow Selene, who's an ISFP. If you add in the supporting OCs, they really run the gamut.

Jung’s Ni, Abridged
These articles are an attempt to condense Chapter X of Psychological Types into a more readable format. I’ve tried to stay as true to the original texts as possible. Enjoy!
Foreword
Introverted Intuition
Introverted Intuition is directed at the contents of the unconscious. However, just as our senses only give us an approximate image of the objective world, so does Ni give an approximate image or impression of the inner world and its contents. Although it may be triggered by an external stimulus, it doesn’t focus on the external possibilities, but on what images are released in the psyche. Unlike Si, these images don’t concern the course of sensations, but their underlying causes or hidden meanings. However, since the Ni type represses Sensation, he rarely manages to connect the resulting hunches to himself or his bodily existence, instead seeing them as if they had an objective existence of their own.
Just as Ne chases every possibility in the outer world, Ni chases every image that arises from the inner world, “the teeming womb of the unconscious”. Again, the Ni type doesn’t connect them to himself, and since he’s only concerned with perceiving them, he isn’t impelled to shape them into rational judgements like Ti or Fi. The latter are also only affected by the images subconsciously -- by contrast, Ni seeks to explore every detail of them, with the same clarity that Se has with respect to the outer world.
Ni is the function which is most intimately connected with the collective unconscious. The archetypal patterns, which have evolved over millions of years to represent eternal patterns of life, are the main source of the insight which Ni often provides. Its tendency to project into the future is thanks to an almost direct consultation with these archetypes. If paired with Feeling, it has the potential to paint a more or less complete picture of another person’s psychology.
The Introverted Intuitive Type
This type is oriented by his inner vision, and the more intensely he relies on intuition, the more he is divorced from tangible reality. In exceptional cases he might be something like a seer, or an artist whose work is far-off and psychedelic -- all at once beautiful and grotesque, since it represents the Janus-faced nature of the psyche. If he neglects to share or express his perceptions, he might become an eccentric or a crank, someone completely incomprehensible to his peers.
The pure type stops at the perception his vision, and perhaps the aesthetic shaping of it in art. He suppresses any attempt to make it into a moral problem. However, as soon as he differentiates an auxiliary Judging function, he begins to face certain questions. What does this image mean for me and for for others? What task or duty does it represent for me? He begins to dimly perceive that he is actually connected to his vision, and subsequently feels he has to actualise it somehow. However, since he’s more adapted to his inner world than present-day reality, he has great difficulties in bringing his vision to his society. His life becomes symbolic, with little relevance to any concrete reality. His arguments fall short, since his reasoning functions are secondary to his vision, and at a certain point he can only claim “I just know”.
This type is characterised by a risky tendency to suppress concrete reality. Even the normal type has trouble connecting his inner vision to his own life. He might becomes increasingly unaware of his bodily existence or its effect on others. If he becomes completely one-sided, his outer life hits him through Sensation in his unconscious, causing a neurotic, compulsive dependence on concrete reality. He begins to suffer from all kinds of hypochondrial symptoms, hypersensitivity to sensations, and exaggerated ties to certain objects and people.

@emeraldlatias I’m Replying to you here so i don’t make a HUGE wall of text when reblogging my ask...
Thanks for the input! This was an interesting read, but tbh I still would argue with most of your typings.
For Squall, I still find him a heavy Ni user, just cause he doesn’t apparently plan ahead it doesn’t mean he’s not an NJ (this feels like bad use of Te), he’s merely a teenager really close to enter adulthood and is struggling with the same problems just like everyone that age, he is cold, arrogant, pushes everyone away from him, this is very typical immature INTJ behaviour, thinking he can do everything by himself, being detached, and almost living completely in his head. His inner monologues feel Very Ni-Fi also, and he doesn’t have much concern for duty, responsibility and being of help to a community, he was always difficult to work with, and resented assuming leadership, even though he is the first to ensure that what is necessary gets done (all sounds very Ni-Te, capable of carrying out duties but resents it). He is capable and assumes responsibility, but in a very forceful manner, he even dislikes it when he is appointed commander of Balamb Garden, and also when ppl start giving him orders he becomes frustrated as well (this is near opposite of Si, and tertiary Fi acting up taking things too personally), he’s very anti-social. Overall he is heavily independent (a very big INTJ trait) and I simply don’t see inferior Ne in him at all, a Si-dom would do their utmost to reject Ne in order to protect their ego-image as a “careful, reliable, and thoughtful” person, and this isn’t what Squall does at all.
For Rinoa, this one I could agree with you, she is definitely a EXFJ and the inferior Ti is clear, but to me she felt more Ni-Se, rather than Si-Ne. Like Squall she is another struggling teenager, she is very stubborn, naive, often does what she wants and acts in a rebellious manner (particularly towards her father) and she is quite impulsive, acting without thinking and often getting in trouble (this feels like Se acting up, ignoring Ni and inferior Ti manifesting itself). A function like Si is not impulsive nor is Ne (in a big way) when tertiary or inferior, Rinoa gets often too caught up in the moment (rather than in the past) which even makes her look like a xxxP type, but this is ENFJ’s Se acting up (whom are sometimes even confused with ESFPs). Like u said, she’s an ideas person, u can even see her in the Balamb Garden library (reading books?) when she’s not with the party, but i still find it she has Ni, rather than Si. Ni itself is about seeing future outcomes, and planning based on those visions would come with Fe/Te, but since she has Fe she does not plan with facts or logic, but rather the emotions of others, values, ethics etc… this in exchange shows her poor Ti and how she failed to carry out plans correctly (like in the Train with the president). She could easily be an ENFJ just like ESFJ, not really far off the mark.
Laguna… this is one I can also agree with being ENFP cause I debated him being ENFP too. What made me decide go for ESFJ however was how much he felt like a Fe-dom user, he felt slightly like Rinoa and could have gone for ENFJ too but that didn’t seem right, it felt like he had the Si&Ne pair instead. He feels like a direct opposite of Squall, (having INTJ and ESFJ in mind, they don’t share any common functions and do everything differently). Unlike the rest of the cast he is older, 22 in flashbacks and 44 in the main story, so he is gonna have a more balanced functional stack there and looks like a mature ESFJ. In the flashbacks he is awful at following up to plans requiring external consideration of facts, logic and reason (much like Rinoa, another Ti inferior user), he thinks he is going well with his course of action but then he realises he is mistaken and clueless as to what to do (much to the frustration of his comrades) however he thinks about others and finds his way to get out of those situations, has this big concern for external harmony so I couldn’t help but Type ESFJ. His style of combat also feels like relying on past experience heavily, i didn’t feel like he was Si inferior but I can see why you type him as and ENFP and can agree with that too.
Quistis: Classic overachiever could very well relate to INFJ, specially to reaffirm that she is smart (Ni). Ni does not mean intelligence, but it does bring a degree of “know it all” confidence to assert themselves quietly (in the case of an INFJ). We can agree she uses secondary Fe and tertiary Ti, however Se seems more befitting as inferior, she is not impulsive at all and has a very stoic, composed aura (ISFJs would a appear more warm, accommodating and serene). Ne inferior would make the Si-dom not apt to radical or risky thought/behavior, but this isn’t a problem for Quists (cause she has Ni). She does not go wild, but she can think differently (plus she is not stuck on the past, more like on ideas and the feelings she has about others). Also I don’t see how doubting self-worth/talent and seeking out others to listen is a Si-Fe and Inferior Ne trait, this is something all types can experience and is not particular to ISFJ behaviour. As for what happened in Deling City, she was stressed and conflicted to act efficiently, this a mistake a normal INFJ could make cause they value external harmony a lot, Ti acting up blocking the insight of Ni can make the INFJ make this mistake. You seem to be very biased with Ni-users thinking they are very strict planners who follow up through their plans no matter what but the rest of the functions can bring information Ni hasn’t taken and make them doubt themselves/ act in irrational ways / change their course of action abruptly. Ni gives you visions and insights, and the functions that build the plans using this information is Te and Fe, not Ni.
Seifer being ESFP is the one i have most conflict with (even ESTP would have been more accurate), his bullying tendencies seem to manifest from inferior Fi, he is the typical Te-dom bully who’s very conflicted internally and takes out his anger on others to compensate. He is rude and has been picking on other kids since young (ESFPs bully others if they are getting in the way of their fun, Seifer however does not seem worried about this at all). He also has many parallels with Squall being both TJs, saying he is ESFP contrasts a lot with him, and both are fighting to prove their superiority. The only Se I would see in him is how impulsive he can get, defies authority figures and considers that others should defer to taking orders from him, but again this is Te and inferior Fi acting up, he loves being boss and having others do what he wants. Also Being unable to let go of the Romantic Dream™  is inferior Fi and Te acting up, he has extreme loyalty to Edea and his actions feel very Si paired with Te. Plus he is the head of the disciplinary committee, this screams Te, he is responsible and has no trouble performing tasks (unless he is internal conflicts start acting up).
Overall I wasn’t really off the mark with my typings (it was mostly Ni-Si differences) and Selphie and maybe Laguna are the only ones I can see being mistyped but not the rest. But tbh I can accept everyone has different perceptions on each character’s type and I find it difficult for everyone to agree with them so lmao, If you have more to say i’ll gladly listen! It’s fun discussing type theory, but i’ll leave my typings the way they are lmao.

Trump`s Grandfather Worked Under John D. Rockefeller, Uncle Translated Tesla`s Stolen Work
Before you trust a power gamer, checked out up on their history.
The history, family members, and associations of a power player are essential requirement information, if an individual genuinely wants to understand who they are and also what they do.
Since we're required to manage Head of state Donald Trump, let's have a look at what he was born right into. He inherited numerous bucks from his US military associated real estate baron father, Fred Trump.
His uncle, John G. Trump, was an engineer functioning with the military commercial complex associated school MIT, as well as examined fantastic engineer Nikola Tesla's stolen documents after his death.
Donald Trump's grandfather Frederick Trump was an immigrant from Germany to the US. Fred and John G. Trump inherited the structure of their chance from Frederick.
Frederick Trump had issues with immigration in his life time, and was denied the ability to again become a German resident, after leaving to the US to evade army service (not that there is anything incorrect with staying clear of offering in the armed force of a federal government you do not think in).
At the age of 16, in 1885 Friedrich Trump landed in New York after emigrating from Kallstadt, Germany. He succeeded in the Pacific Northwest during the gold-rush era, selling dining establishment rooms with prostitutes and alcohol to miners attempting to find gold.
He functioned under the direction of John D. Rockefeller's investment near Seattle in the last years of the 1800's. Inning accordance with a write-up by researcher Gwenda Blair released in Politician:
"Friedrich Trump's Seattle restaurant flourished, however he maintained his ears open-- another aspect of the Trump household MO. In 1894, he listened to that John D. Rockefeller, the wealthiest male in the world, was moneying a mining procedure in a little community north of Seattle called Monte Cristo. Without delay, Trump scoped out the very best place there, secured it by submitting a fraudulent mineral case, developed a resort on the parcel even though it didn't really belong to him, and also started offering the clients, again, exactly just what they wanted: plenty to eat, great deals to consume alcohol as well as of course women.
When Monte Cristo verified slow to supply on its promise, Rockefeller publicly repeated his assistance while secretly arranging a departure. In the summer of 1897, Trump also determined to squander and also return to Seattle-- making him, along with Rockefeller, one of the couple of financiers in Monte Cristo to end up champions instead of losers.'
Although this doesn't indicate any kind of sort of close partnership in between Rockefeller and also Trump, it is telling somehow that they both made their ton of moneys in the same environment. It paints an image of where power today originates as well as just how it inherently behaves.
Whether or otherwise John D. Rockefeller had a relationship with Friedrich Trump, Donald Trump today has a connection with Rockefeller's Requirement Oil company, which is currently ExxonMobil.
Donald Trump's Secretary of State is Rex Tillerson, ex-Exxon executive.
Continuing from the article:
' In the New Arctic Dining establishment as well as Resort, which he opened in the raw new community of Bennett in Could 1898, he once more provided 'exclusive boxes' for women, facilities that included not just a bed, but a range for considering the gold dirt used to pay for solutions.
It was the most effective dining establishment in community, one newspaper reported at the time, but included that it 'would not recommend respectable females to go there to rest as they are reliant listen to that which would be repugnant to their sensations and uttered, too, by the depraved of their own sex."
The tale is proceeded by Wikipedia:
' He acquired all the needed supplies, sold his remaining property in Monte Cristo as well as Seattle, and also moved his 40 acres in the Pine Lake Plateau to his sis Louise. In 1900, Louise sold the building for $250. In the winter season following Trump's departure from Monte Cristo, the community suffered some of the most awful avalanches and also floodings in its short background, and also this time around, Rockefeller rejected to rebuild the virtually vital railway to Everett.'
The same author created an additional short article in the Week, proceeding the tale into the 20th Century. It states:
' Friedrich died in Might 1918, prior to completion of World Battle I. There was a rising trend of anti-German sentiment in America, materialized in accusations of disloyalty versus individuals with German backgrounds, diatribes versus music by German authors, even bonfires of publications by German writers. People with German names transformed them, and readership plummeted for the country's numerous German-language publications.
This intolerant atmosphere had a profound influence on Friedrich's older son, Fred (named after Friedrich yet in an Americanized form). Just 12 years of ages when his dad died, Fred was now the guy of the house, and also he started to meddle with his family history-- that is, to tell it like it wasn't. Despite growing up in a German-speaking home and also speaking his moms and dads' language on brows through to Kallstadt, he said he didn't recognize German, and by the start of Globe War II, he stated his family members was from Sweden.'
So that brings us to Donald Trump's dad, Fred Trump. When Fred Trump's father Freidrich died, 13 year old Fred became the male of the house.
By age 15, his mother aided him begin a profession in building houses and also real-estate, using the wide range built up by Freidrich: Donald Trump's dad was provided a more modest silver spoon compared to Donald, however a silver spoon nonetheless. With the inheritance from his dad as well as his operate in real estate, Fred Trump aided his bro John G. Trump go into academia.
Fred Trump became a millionaire dealing with the United States Armed force in WWII, developing barracks and also homes. Inning accordance with Wikipedia:
' During The second world war, Trump built barracks as well as garden apartments for UNITED STATE Navy workers near major shipyards along the East Shore, including Chester, Pennsylvania, Newport Information, Virginia, and Norfolk, Virginia.
After the battle he expanded right into middle-income real estate for the families of returning professionals, developing Shore Place in Bensonhurst in 1949, and also Beach Sanctuary near Coney Island in 1950 (an overall of 2,700 apartments). In 1963-1964, he developed Trump Town, an apartment building in Coney Island, for US$ 70 million.'
This is how Donald Trump was born into a position to develop his own lot of money, following his father right into the realty business with both his cash and also service connections.
The precise amount Donald received from his papa to start his life is questioned. Hillary Clinton (not that she is to be relied on or appreciated) declared he received $14 million.
Donald Trump asserted he obtained a 'small' sum of $1 million to start, as well as other proof recommends that he got other finances from his dad. He likewise obtained a $1 million count on, as did his brother or sisters. Inning accordance with the Washington Blog post:
' The online casino paper listings numerous various other car loans from Trump's dad to his kid, including a $7.5 million loan with at least a 12-percent passion price that was still superior in 1981.
In a 2007 deposition, Trump admitted he had actually borrowed "a percentage" from his father's estate: 'I think it was like in the $9 million variety."
During the moment that Fred Trump gained his ton of money, his bro and also Donald's uncle John G. Trump was dealing with the mad scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), de-coding fantastic designer Nikola Tesla's taken papers.
MIT is a main center of scientific research for the army commercial facility, as we have actually damaged the surface area of in previous articles. Scientist and also writer Peter A. Kirby extensively exposed the root of geoengineering (spraying the skies) in MIT, and his most recent post could be found here.
John G.'s association to Tesla was summed up by Huge Think:
' A few days after Tesla died on January 8th, 1943, his ownerships were confiscated by officials from the amazingly-named government Office of Alien Property. Regarding 3 weeks then, all of Tesla's things as well as documents were offered an extensive exam by a team of FBI representatives that consisted of none various other compared to John G. Trump."
John G. Trump created concerning Tesla's taken documents, but possibly his declaration was suggested to discourage individuals from believing they found something of worth in them, to keep the searchings for a secret. He said:
Tesla's ' ideas and also initiatives throughout at the very least the previous 15 years were mainly of a speculative, thoughtful, as well as somewhat marketing personality," but "did not include brand-new, audio, convenient principles or approaches for understanding such outcomes."
More standard info concerning John G. Trump could be gathered from Wikipedia:
' During 1942, Trump became Assistant of the Microwave Board, a sub-committee of the NDRC. The director of the Microwave Board was Alfred Lee Loomis, the millionaire physicist, that determined to develop a laboratory. He selected a site for it, selected a suitably discreet and also unclear name for it and also moneyed the construction, up until the Federal administration was developed. The new institution was the MIT Radiation Laboratory, or the 'Rad Lab'.'
So what does this say concerning Donald Trump? Something is particular: he is not brand-new to the game of political power, to the military industrial facility, or to wealth.
He has never ever had a history of caring concerning our course of individuals, and he has actually filled up the White Residence with nothing however lenders, oil barons as well as individuals who loot as well as loot our class of people.
Just as Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama stood for forces bigger compared to them, from Goldman Sachs to the contemporary incarnation of Rockefeller's Criterion Oil (ExxonMobil), every one of them approve cash and also instructions from the precise same entities.
It is purposefully hard to differentiate who is against who in this powerstructure, yet it's risk-free to say none of them have our ideal interest at heart.
