Thing is it's got to be about equality- if you add the fs dungeon to Legend's story you gotta add the realm of memory to Four's, which would actually mean he's previously time traveled to two other eras- and would thus recognize the downfall duo's worlds

Frozen Through the Years
Yearly Spotlight: 2023
Written by @toriofthetrees
This year marked...
Frozen’s 10th Anniversary
It was wild.
Starting off with a bang, in February Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that Frozen III was in development, later confirmed by Josh Gad. Idina Menzel and Jen Lee confirmed it in June, with Jen Lee going on to say that she would not be directing this installment of the franchise. However, she confirmed that she knew the person who was, she loved their story, and she trusted them completely.
Her enthusiasm did not go unnoticed.
On top of the 10th Anniversary for Frozen (November 27) this year also marked the 100th Anniversary for Disney Studios as a whole (October 16). To commemorate both, much of the activity peaked towards the last three month of the year.
The hashtag #Frozen10 was created to celebrate the anniversary.
On October 11, the Forces of Nature podcast was released over several installments. It was met with mixed reviews; some enjoyed it, some were more critical of it, and most agreed that while it was fun, it did not have the chops to be a major installment of the Frozen franchise.
On October 16, Disney released a short film called Once Upon a Studio to commemorate their centennial celebration. It aired on ABC and showed the hustle and bustle of Disney Studios as everyone (all of our favorite characters) prepared for the big celebration! Elsa, Anna, Kristoff (and technically Hans) were among the many classic Disney characters that appeared!
Two novels were released this year. The first book was the first installment in the Disney Legends trilogy entitled Fixer Upper, written by Jen Calonita. It tells the story of Kristoff’s childhood and life before he met Anna in Frozen. The second novel, an anthology of short stories, was created specifically to celebrate #Frozen10. It is called All is Found, and it brought together 10 authors to write 10 short stories to celebrate the anniversary. It was edited by Heather Knowles and Mari Mancusi, veterans in non-film Frozen lore.
November is the month things started reallly picking up. The merchandising train at Disney rolled out a lot of Frozen merch, including limited edition dolls of the sisters specifically for the 10th anniversary. On November 16, Bob Iger announced a fourth installment of the franchise, with multiple voice actors and creators tied to the project confirming it later that same day. This coincided with the Grand Opening ceremony of the World of Frozen at Disneyland Hongkong. Jen Lee joined in this celebration, with the gates to the park opening four days later.
She informed the world on November 22 that Frozen III and Frozen IV were one story across two installments.
The anniversary itself was on November 27. Disney released a press release on their official website commemorating all that had happened in Frozen history (kind of like what we are doing with these blog posts). And, of course, the merchandising train spun out once again to give us all new merch specifically for the #Frozen10 celebration.
Towards the end of the month, the Frozen song playlist was added to Spotify and Season 5 of Disney Speedstorm was released with Frozen characters.
The year ended with exciting activity from the fandom! The Youtuber GeekCritique worked closely with the Arendelle Archives to create a video detailing the history of Arendelle. The video was released on December 23 and managed to make headlines! The other major project was a fanzine celebrating #Frozen10. Inspired by All is Found, several fans came together to create Water Has Memory: A Frozen Decade. Within the zine are the fandom's Frozen memories, presented in the form of Elsa & Anna accessing them together through Ahtohallan.
Needless to say, this year was a major leap forward for all things Frozen. It gave so much to look forward to, and it was a sizable way to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of this beloved story.
Stay Tuned for More

We look forward to seeing your memories ❄️

I really think at the Sandringham summit and beyond the family and staff put up extra rings of steel around the Queen where Harry and Meghan were concerned. I think it showed who some of the leaks were coming from, and showed that as long as they kept an arms length from the Sussexes it was best protection the Queen could have from the parasites. It totally floored Harry and Meghan when she was on her deathbed because they screwed themselves by taping the doc a month before and Meghan already gave that disastrous the Cut interview. The Queen passing when she did threw a total spanner in the works for them and their pr. So I agree with you Harry had to see for himself what was true this time with Charles’s cancer announcement.
This was the one year anniversary month of PP's death:
The Duke being Harry.
Describing the visit to see the Queen, which was not announced in advance, the duke said: "Being with her, it was great. It was so nice to see her... she's on great form."
"She's always got such a great sense of humour with me and I'm just making sure she's protected and got the right people around her," he added in a preview of the full interview, expected to air in the US later.
I will never understand how he went from her great sense of humor to making sure she is protected and has the right people around her.
He was giving off the impression that he has the power and authority to make those types of decisions when it came to the monarch.
How on EARTH would he know what type of people she was surrounded by. At that point he had been gone for two years.
The audacity is astounding.
Meghan also had released her podcast remember? Then the rumors was they had to go back in and edit the podcast because she did talk badly about the BRF. Spotify was smart enough to know that would go down like a lead balloon after the world watched the funeral and the massive outpouring of support for the BRF.

Classic Key Visual Novel ‘Kanon’ Adding English Support To Switch Version
From Noisy Pixel
Tumblr media
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic Key visual novel Kanon, Prototype has announced that the Nintendo Switch version of the title, currently only available in Japanese, will receive a free update, adding English and Chinese support.
Details on when this update would arrive were not provided.
The upcoming Steam port has been confirmed to feature Steam Deck and controller support.
Kanon tells the story of Yuichi Aizawa, a young man who stays with his aunt after his parents move overseas. Seven years have passed since he was last in this town, and his memories of then are fuzzy.
On the day he moves, a young girl called Ayu Tsukimiya bumps into him. Later, he will get to know other girls who’ll become important in his life, including his cousin, Nayuki Minase, who studies in the same class as him.
Kanon was recently released by Prototype on Switch, but that edition was only available in Japanese. This new Steam release marks the first time in 25 years that the game will have English subtitles as an option.
Kanon was Key’s debut title, with Jun Maeda at the helm of Makoto’s, Mai’s, and Sayuri’s routes while Naoki Hisaya handled the others. The duo had also worked together on MOON. and ONE, and are well-known for their relevance in establishing the nakige genre (visual novels that pull at your heartstrings).
Kanon will be released on PC via Steam at an unknown time. English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese subtitle support will be available.

Special Edition Magazine Commemorates 80th Anniversary of The Black Sheep Squadron
January 4, 2024 Vintage Aviation News Articles, Press Releases 0
United Fuel Cells
Gregory ‘Pappy’ Boyington was a Marine Corps fighter pilot and the commanding officer of the VMF-214 Black Sheep Squadron in the Pacific during World War II. Boyington was a leading flying ace, Prisoner of War, and a recipient of both the Navy Cross and Medal of Honor.
Tumblr media
Probably one of the most famous photos Col Greg ‘Pappy’ Boyington (Photo by Mike Schneider Collection)
Boyington’s Black Sheep VMF-214 began in 1943, so this is the reason for the 80th Anniversary. VMF-214 Swashbucklers was in existence before Boyington took over the squadron number with a new group of pilots. The Swashbucklers had been in combat operations and just lost their commanding officer, and while they were out on R&R, higher command decided they needed more squadrons in the fight, right about the time that Boyington was lobbying to get a squadron. So, on paper the command of VMF-214 was given to Boyington, he collected from the the replacement pool a nucleus of pilots and also added new pilots to start their “VMF-214, and they came up with a new moniker, the Black Sheep.
The U.S. Marine Corps’ Black Sheep squadron has served the nation continuously for 80 years. A new special edition magazine commemorates the milestone and their legacy.
“The WWII Black Sheep were among the most effective combat units and their achievements made them legendary,” said Kevin Gonzalez, the magazine’s creator. “An ace is a military aviator credited with downing five or more enemy aircraft during aerial combat, and there were nine Black Sheep pilots who became aces.”
Tumblr media
Boyington – Black Sheep Leader is a special edition magazine that features historical articles, archival photographs, and original graphic novel art. A special art section includes a depiction of Pappy’s last dogfight, when he and his wingman Captain George Ashmun, were both shot down during a strike mission over Rabaul. Boyington survived the dogfight and was captured at sea by the crew of a Japanese submarine. He was never officially reported as a prisoner by the Japanese and was secretly held prisoner for 30 months. Eventually, he found his path to military aviation through an aviation cadet program, which then led to the Marine Corps Reserve in 1937 and flight training at Naval Air Station Pensacola.
Boyington was allowed to leave the Marines to join the American Volunteer Group, also known as the Flying Tigers, where he gained combat experience flying against the Japanese. After the U.S. entered WWII, he returned rejoin to the USMC. He wrote about his experiences in his best-selling book BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP, published in 1958, which later became the basis for a popular NBC television series for two seasons in the 1970s.
Ezoic
Colonel Gregory Pappy Boyington died on Jan. 11, 1988, in Fresno, Calif., and was buried at Arlington National Cemetery. In 2007, the local airport added the commemorative name Coeur d’Alene Airport/Pappy Boyington Field. In 2019, Boyington was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame.
The modern-day Black Sheep continues the squadron’s legacy. Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 214 (VMFA-214) is stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma and flies the F-35 B Lightning II, the Marine Corps variant of the Joint Strike Fighter, manufactured by Lockheed Martin.
Tumblr media
On March 25, 2022, the squadron was redesignated as Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 214 (VMFA-214) as it began accepting new F-35B Lightning II aircraft from the Lockheed Martin factory in Fort Worth, Texas
“Many of the graphic artists who contributed to this project are military veterans,” said Gonzalez. “It’s exciting to see their artwork on the pages of this magazine.”
Boyington – Black Sheep Leader is a special edition magazine from the creator of the Pappy Boyington Field documentary film. More information about Boyington at the website: PappyBoyingtonField.com

It seems that there are so many 🍬 that would require planning and preparation. Do you think they are just that good at improvising, or they really do plan these things (e.g. Bobo filming that extra video in red that day he was filming Monclear ads weeks/months ago just to post it today for the XFX 7th anniversary?)
Hi Anon!
Tumblr media
Fake, fan fiction, CPN.
Anon is talking about this video clip, which is 7 seconds long, where DD is wearing a Moncler Disney Roger Rabbit hoodie and red clothing that was posted at 7:07, on the 7th anniversary of XFX (GG's solo fandom).
Tumblr media
Regardless of whether it was pre-planned or not, I personally believe it was intended as a reference to the anniversary. After all, he's the captain of the GG fan club! 😅
I think it's almost impossible that the outfit was pre-planned to be an intentional reference to GG, though. That look was something he wore for a photo shoot in connection with Moncler's Disney Roger Rabbit partnership and would have been styled by the brand's people, and of course would have included rabbit clothing given the focus of the campaign.
I think that this clip was probably just one of many he records and keeps on hand. DD is known for filming a lot of these things at once and then releasing them in a trickle as time goes by. It could be that when he was at the Moncler photo shoot he took the opportunity in his downtime to film some video clips.
What I think is possible is that when he saw that he'd be wearing this rabbit stuff he consciously chose to film some clips to use when he wants to reference GG in a future post. It might have felt like a golden opportunity to drop some candy at some point, when he saw them dressing him all up in red with a rabbit sweater.
DD has been known to make posts that reference GG in some way. He used to do it a lot more back in 2020, but hasn't been doing it much lately (probably due to the tense climate in the biz right now).
Also, the way in which this post lines up so well with GG's hot pot post, I doubt that was an accident. I think it's likely they pre-planned that part of it. Perhaps they planned that the next personal post GG made would use the 👍🏽 and DD's would use the ✌🏻.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's one thing I think almost every BXG noticed immediately and went 👀 over.
For those who aren't familiar, GG and DD are frequently associated with those two emoji because of their use of those gestures during promo for The Untamed. The much-loved Sina Day photo features those gestures.
Tumblr media
There was a fake rumor a while back that referenced GG and DD using those same light toned ✌🏻 and darker toned 👍🏽, and BXG were already pretty excited to see GG use that same toned 👍🏽 for his hot pot post. Seeing DD use the ✌🏻 just a few weeks later made a lot of turtles happy!
Of course we'll probably never know for sure, but those are my thoughts on it.
Edit: More on this here.

What was Defense Witches 2?
Tumblr media
Announced during the fifth anniversary, Defense Witches 2 was the sequel only released in Japan (despite plans to release overseas) This game was only released for a short while, not even reaching it's first-year anniversary before the game shut down.
Tumblr media
While not much was known about the story (and I think only 3 or 4 areas were released before the game shut down) from the official Twitter page (err x), it seemed like the game was originally going to go with three main protagonists Mint (girl in pink) Felt (girl with the hat) (also take these two names with a grain of salt I'm not positive I'm going based off google translate) and Cornet (who needs no introduction)
Tumblr media
The main girls from the first game were also brought over now a year older :D
Tumblr media
There seems to be a new villain whos this girl (idk her name)
(Edit) Her name is Celesta, and she is Cornet's Older Sister. Thank you @defense-witches for the information
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now what was new in Defense Witches 2?
A GACHA system for gaining access to new characters, leveling up characters, gaining equipment/pets, and more.
A class system for character organization (year 1, year 2, year 3, other)
An equipment system (yes for each individual character)
A world map where stages were posted (credit to one of the dw2 artists)
new place management system for the witches where they disappear if not on a purple square after cooldown is done (year 1 & 2)
Adding onto the top point there's a new character what adds more purple spaces
Witches (3rd years and Others) usually only allow for placement of one of them on the map
Events offering rewards for characters, equipment, or pets (seasonal offered limited-time characters)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
What Didn't Make It Into The Game? (But Was Revealed)
Given Felt and her sister were revealed as explosion types, Tiana might of played a bigger role (she is also one of the few original special witches to get a character redesign)
Chiara and a lot of the older witches were released after the initial release via updates however Lyra never made it into the game
They teased special moves that never made it in-game
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'll be posting more about the character that did make it into the game and some of the in-game manga at a later date

The last official Castlevania timeline from the defunct Japanese website
Before Konami restructured and renewed their old websites since some years ago, there was the official Japanese Castlevania website that was administered by Koji Igarashi himself, which was a more complete site than the western one. The timeline that was presented in the Japanese site was added so any Japanese fan could learn about the games' stories in their descriptions and how they are tied in the Castlevania universe. This official timeline stopped being updated before the release of the last DS game by Iga, which was Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Sadly, the website was deleted by Konami after Iga left them and since 2018 it has been replaced with one that is very basic, serves both Japanese and western fans, and focuses on news about the products and the physical releases in a chronological order of release, not a timeline anymore. Thankfully some fans have archived the old Japanese site for the sake of preserving it: https://web.archive.org/web/20180227155522/https://www.konami.com/games/dracula/product/data.html
Tumblr media
This is important to canon lore nerds because this is the only official timeline that has to be taken into account when discussing about what games are in and what not. Because there's still people that think that the American exclusive 20th anniversary timeline bundled with the special edition of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin in 2006 is the real deal, when in fact it only reflects the games that were available in the US and how they are aligned in a timeline that slightly differs to the Japanese one up in the website until that time.
Tumblr media
Castlevania: Dracula X on SNES for example is mentioned instead of Rondo of Blood because the game was never released officially outside Japan but until next year and the Castlevania 64 and Circle of the Moon games got also a mention -but without proper description unlike the rest- because Ecclesia was still not released until 2008 and was the definitive reason why Iga decided to fill the 1800s gap with it.
He later explained in a Japanese interview that these games were originally intended to be alternate continuities, spin-offs outside of the canon timeline and he only respected this, admitting he only left out on purpose Castlevania: Legends because it conflicted with Castlevania III and Symphony of the Night-.
Tumblr media
Anyway, here's my translation of the official timeline from the defunct Japanese website as it was in 2007. Naturally, Order of Ecclesia was not featured in it, but i added a plot synopsis just for the sake of having it complete.
1094-Castlevania: Lament of Innocence Episode depicting the beginning of the Belmont clan, the mysterious whip Vampire Killer, and Dracula. People look upon Leon Belmont as the strongest of knights. However, his destiny begins to change greatly when his fiancée is kidnapped. The stage of the battle is a vampire castle that rises in the forest called "Eternal Night". Armed with a whip given to him by the alchemist Rinaldo Gandolfi, Leon challenges the lord of the castle, Walter Bernhardt. But there a great tragedy awaits him.
Tumblr media
1476-Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse Europe in the Dark Ages. Count Dracula's genocide of humanity begins. Convinced that the count is a vampire, the Eastern Orthodox Church dispatches an army to slay him, but fails. A descendant of genuine vampire hunters, Trevor C. Belmont, will be asked to defeat him. Trevor succeeds in destroying the Count along with Grant Danasty, Sypha Belnades, and Count Dracula's son, Alucard, whom he meets in the battle. The Belmont clan, which was feared by the people for their great powers, started to be seen as heroes.
Tumblr media
1479-Castlevania: Curse of Darkness Three years have passed since Trevor C. Belmont destroyed Dracula. During the time when all of Europe was in chaos from the curse Dracula cast when he was destroyed, there was a man who lost his dearest love due to a witch hunt. That man's name was Hector. He was once one of Dracula's strongest soldiers, known as a Devil Forgemaster.... But three years ago he betrayed Dracula and broke away. Realizing the death of his lover was the work of his old friend, Isaac, he returns to his home, Valachia, for revenge.
Tumblr media
1576-Castlevania: The Adventure Count Dracula, who should have been destroyed, has come back to life. (There are rumors that the Bartley family is involved in this resurrection.) Christopher Belmont rises against the resurrected Count Dracula. Due to this resurrection, the legend that the Demon King is revived once every 100 years is born. After a fierce battle, Christopher seemed to put Count Dracula to sleep again, but that was just the beginning of another nightmare.
Tumblr media
1591-Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge Count Dracula was not destroyed. Although he lost his body, his soul remained in this world. In order to revive his body and take revenge on the Belmonts, he waits until Christopher's son, Soleil turns 15, and manipulates him to fulfill his ambitions.
Tumblr media
1691-Castlevania Count Dracula is resurrected for the second time at the call of evil humans. Thanks to the success of Simon Belmont, Count Dracula is put to sleep for a third time. His deeds become known all over the world, and he becomes one of the most famous heroes.
Tumblr media
1698-Castlevania II: Simon's Quest It has been 7 years since Simon Belmont destroyed Dracula. The Count was not simply destroyed. Before he died, he placed a curse on Simon that consumed his body. And when the curse completely consumes Simon, Count Dracula will be revived. Unless he gathers the 5 fragments of Count Dracula that have appeared scattered across the land and breaks the curse, it can't be prevented. Ignoring the decay of his body, Simon proceeds to fight once again.
Tumblr media
1748-Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance 50 years have passed since the battle of Simon. Suddenly, a mysterious castle appears. Is this Dracula's Castle? Juste Belmont explores a mysterious castle with Maxim Kischine to rescue their kidnapped childhood friend Lydie. After a fierce battle, the false Castle of Dracula disappears.
Tumblr media
1792-Castlevania: Rondo of Blood Summoned by the dark priest Shaft, Count Dracula revives. Richter Belmont and Maria Renard, a girl he rescued from the castle, destroy Count Dracula. Afterward, Maria is adopted into the Belmont family.
Tumblr media
1797-Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Shaft was not dead. Moreover, he cursed Richter, who was exhausted from the battle with Count Dracula five years ago. And by manipulating Richter with that curse and using his power, he plots to revive the Count again. When the destined hunter wents missing, Count Dracula's son Alucard, who once fought alongside Trevor, wakes up from a sleep that should have been eternal. Due to his deeds, Count Dracula's resurrection is prevented. After this battle, the vampire killer will be handed over to the Morris family. However, why this happens is uncertain.
Tumblr media
1800s-Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Sometime in the 1800s, the Belmont clan has vanished and several organizations are created in order to research countermeasures against Dracula and his eventual return. Among these organizations, the most promising was the Order of Ecclesia, who created a triad of magical glyphs named Dominus. Shanoa is a member chosen by the order's leader, Barlowe, as the human vessel for Dominus. As the ritual begins, the Dominus glyphs are stolen by Shanoa's colleague Albus, and Shanoa loses her memories and emotions. She goes to retrieve them, unaware of his true intentions.
Tumblr media
1897-(None, it's worth to note that the book by Bram Stoker has never been added as the real event, but it's more likely that what happens here just references the novel.) Quincy Morris, who is a descendant from the Belmont family, subdues Count Dracula.
1917-Castlevania: Bloodlines World War I breaks out. Elisabeth Bartley, who claims to be Count Dracula's niece, plots to revive the Count, (she caused a war to revive the Count trying to obtain human souls from all over Europe), but she was defeated by Quincy's son John and his close friend Eric Lecarde.
Tumblr media
1944-Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin During the Second World War, the castle of Demon King Dracula, which caused chaos in the world many times in the past, is revived. Jonathan Morris, who inherits the legendary whip, and Charlotte Aulin, a genius wizard, go to the devil's castle to settle the situation, but it is not Dracula that ruled the castle, it was another vampire.
Tumblr media
1999-(None, but known as the "Demon Castle War" by fans) As predicted by Nostradamus, the Great King of Terror (Count Dracula) appears. In this battle, Count Dracula will be completely destroyed.
2035-Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow It is predicted that Dracula, who should have been completely destroyed, will resurrect again. And Dracula's castle, which should have been sealed in the eclipse, will also appear.
Tumblr media
2036 -Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow One year after the solar eclipse's Dracula uproar, Soma Cruz was in peace. However, the leader of a religious group, Celia Fortner, attacks Soma in broad daylight, aiming for his life. Afraid to involve Mina, Soma enters the cult's lair alone. With that, Celia began her plan for the advent of a new Demon Lord. By taking the life of Soma, who inherited the soul of the Demon Lord, she would create a new Demon Lord.
Tumblr media
There are some details here and there that enrich a bit the canon lore such as the Bartleys as the responsibles for plotting the resurrection of Dracula in The Adventure, something that was faithfully represented in the Belmont Legacy comic, that Simon's deeds made him famous across the world and the fact that Richter was possessed after being exhausted due to Dracula's battle and so on. Of course only Iga would add this for future references or just fun facts that only lore nerds will care about. It's sad that Konami deleted the timeline he supervised and wrote over the years. I hope they don't mess it up with future games.

A-T-3 259 Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Relax (Sex Mix)
Tumblr media
At the front of a pile of records is a copy of the Art Of Noise's Close Up, I'm looking at it convinced I have another copy with the same sleeve artwork but different tracks. Turns out ZTT put out at least four different 12" versions of Close Up/Close (To The Edit) all with the same sleeves and catalogue number but different tracks on them. That's what we have here with Relax by the same production team and on the same label as AON, there are at least seven variations of the UK 12", six variations of the European 12", and seven variations of the US 12" although I think the US 12s all have the same tracks on them
The UK 12"s either had the actual Sex Mix on it which is 16m24s long and doesn't get into the song we know from the single version, the 8m20s Sex Mix edit later named (Sex Mix (Edition 2)) with all the brackets which is confusingly also labelled as the Sex Mix on the records, and the U.S. Mix (which is called the New York Mix on compilations) this is 7m25s and essentially the single version with a long instrumental intro and it's also erroneously labelled Sex Mix on pressings. Three different mixes all labelled as the Sex Mix. In the UK it's the U.S. Mix that is most common. It's not easy to tell the different versions apart, you're looking at matrix numbers stamped into the vinyl, it's important because the 16 minute Sex Mix on the 1st pressing is a beast. It's just dawned on me as someone who buys and listens to records and who isn't subscribed to a streaming service finding the Sex Mix may be a lot easier now, especially as it's been compiled a few times
youtube
One of the reason for all these different versions in different territories was that Relax took a remarkable amount of time to become a hit. In the UK Relax was released in October 1983, it charted in the top 40 but hung around the lower end. In January 1984 Frankie Goes To Hollywood were invited to perform Relax on the 20th anniversary show of Top Of The Pops taking Relax from 22 to 6 in the charts. This led to BBC Radio 1 breakfast presenter Mike Read having a meltdown on-air about how disgusting the record was and refusing to play it. An outright ban rolled by the BBC and the record went to number 1. It stayed at number 1 for 5 weeks and was in the charts for a total of 70 weeks which at the time broke records for longest a song had been in the singles chart
I've sure the Mike Read rant was used on a 12" mix of a future Frankie Goes To Hollywood record. With the decision to ban Relax by the BBC the song about sexual freedom was made political. The fashion designer Katherine Hamnett was producing t-shirts with giant slogans on, I'm not sure if she designed the Frankie Say Relax t-shirts or they were an imitation of her designs, but, they were a fashion phenomenon... years later made into a joke on the US sitcom Friends
In the USA Relax hit in two waves, hence the different versions, once in 1984 and again in 1985. Maybe American's didn't get the innuendo, maybe they didn't care, MTV cared though and banned the video for it's depictions of gay sex - well done MTV!
Anne Yvonne Gilbert's brilliant illustration on the sleeve added to the controversy (the graphic design is an appropriation of Herbert Bayer's work in the 1920s)
Sexual taboos have changed enormously since Relax came out, Frankie Goes To Hollywood probably helped us as a society to relax just a little about sex, gay sex in particular, and that's a good thing. Of course there's still a long ways to go
I prefer music about sex than I do a pissing contests and committing violent acts (that's the music equivalent of American wrestling)

Asobimotto: Behind the scenes with KPRS
This interview was translated with help from DeepL and may contain inaccuracies. Interview and text by Masanori Suzuki via Bandai Namco’s Asobi Motto website.
Tumblr media
The Klonoa series celebrates its 25th anniversary. On this memorable milestone, a remastered version of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series was released! Asobimotto interviewed the production team behind the scenes of this work.
Twenty-five years ago, when the original PlayStation was still in use, elementary and junior high school students played this game with great enthusiasm. Among the many wonderful classics, many people may still remember Klonoa as one of the most memorable.
The first game in the series, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, was released in 1997 for the PlayStation® game console. It was highly acclaimed for its cute characters, pleasant action, excellent music, and surprising storyline, and in 2001, the numbered title Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil was released for the PlayStation 2. Later, in 2008, the first game was remastered for the Wii.
The year 2022 will mark the 25th anniversary of the first game's release. Finally, Klonoa is back, remastered. In this interview, we talked to Ryo Ishida, producer of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series released on July 7, 2022, and Moe Ikeuchi, in charge of marketing, about the behind-the-scenes development of the game.
--First of all, please tell us about the contents of the remastered version.
Ishida: This time, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is a remastered version of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile for Wii and Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil for PS2. The story, voices, and music from those games have been retained, but the graphics and modeling have been reworked to create a game with beautiful graphics that will allow players to reminisce about those days.
Tumblr media
--I played the first Klonoa game when it was released, and was surprised to see in the trailer that the resolution is much higher than in past games! I am glad to be able to explore the more beautiful stages with Klonoa.
Ishida: Graphics are a key element of the remastering, so we put a lot of effort into modeling and improving the resolution. For example, the screen ratio of Door to Phantomile was 4:3 to fit the size of TVs at the time, but we changed it to 16:9 to fit the current hardware. Remastering is like creating a new game with the same content as the original, so there was a lot of work to do.
We also added hints in the stages to improve usability, implemented a "dot-style filter" to reproduce the graphics of the time, and included various other elements such as the "costume change" and "time attack" functions that were popular in the Wii version.
--The Klonoa series is also known for its music.
Ishida: For the music and movie voices, we basically used the remastered original sound sources (Wii version for Door to Phantomile and PS2 version for Lunatea's Veil) throughout the entire game. On the other hand, the voices used in the play scenes of Door to Phantomile are from the PS version, as the Klonoa series is supported by a strong fan base.
Ikeuchi: To further encourage people to take the time to listen to the music, we have prepared a digital soundtrack that includes all of the music from Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series for the DLC (downloadable content) and digital deluxe editions.
--Soundtrack CDs were available at the time, but they are hard to find nowadays, so this is a nice element. By the way, how many songs are included?
Ishida: It contains 143 songs.
--143 songs!?
Ikeuchi: We packed as many songs as possible into the digital version because there is no limit of space! The theme songs, the boss battle themes, and the music for the title screens are also included.
Ishida: In addition to the soundtrack, the DLC and Digital Deluxe versions also include a "Digital Art Book" that contains setting materials and the latest visuals from the development of the game. This book was compiled by requesting materials from the development staff at the time.
-- It's nice to get a closer look at the meticulously rendered, original color stage materials and rough drawings! Now you are showing us the printed booklet art book, is this not for sale?
Ishida: The physical art book is enclosed in the Asobi Store special edition, as we thought there might be requests for people to actually have it on hand for their collection. In addition to the main game and art book, the special edition also includes the aforementioned soundtrack, sticker set, and original glass set.
Tumblr media
--This is something that I would like to have...... Perhaps the cover of the art book is inspired by the book shown in the ending of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile?
Ishida: That's right! I created it with the ending image in mind. How did you notice it?
Ikeuchi: The ending of the story would be a spoiler, so please stop from going any further (laughs).
--What was your first encounter with Klonoa?
Ikeuchi: Actually, the first game I ever bought was Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. I played the demo version and fell in love with Klonoa, so I begged my mother to buy it for me and played it over and over again. At the time, I found the sheet music for the Song of Rebirth at the end of the strategy guide book, so I would play it on my recorder with the katakana characters "do-re-mi-fa" written in Japanese.
Tumblr media
Ikeuchi: I was very happy when I was chosen to be in charge of this title because it holds a lot of memories for me. That's why I've been thinking about what I can do to help fans enjoy Klonoa and continue to love it in the future.
-This work was released 25 years ago, but you still see illustrations and videos posted on social networking sites and submission sites. I think the fact that there is such a strong response is proof that the work remains in people's memories.
Ishida: I was not able to experience the work at the time, but as I came into contact with the characters, story, and music, I realized that it is a work that will not fade away even today. After the project started, I became more and more absorbed in the world of the work as I discussed its appeal with other ardent fans in the company, including Ikeuchi.
Ikeuchi: When I played the game again after the remastering was decided, I found it to be as enjoyable as ever, even in this day and age when games have evolved so much. I hope that those who played the game back then will enjoy playing it while reminiscing about the old days, and I think that those who have never played it before will enjoy it for the first time as well. Of course, I believe that not only adults but also children in 2025 will be moved by this game, so I would be very happy if two generations of parents and children could enjoy it together!
Tumblr media
--Please tell us about the "Fan Contents Contest," which was part of the campaign. What was the story behind this contest?
Ikeuchi: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Klonoa, we held this contest in hopes of creating an event that would bring together fans before the release of the remastered version. 25 winners received framed artwork by Yoshihiko Arai, the character designer, as well as a special pin badge as a present.
Tumblr media
--What kind of works did you receive for the contest?
Ikeuchi: Fans express themselves in a variety of ways, so we dared not to limit the contest to illustrations alone this time and received a wide variety of submissions. As a result, we received submissions from a wide range of genres, including not only illustrations, but also embroidery, acrylic art, music, cooking, pixel art, and videos.
(Click here to see the results of the 25th Anniversary Fan Content Contest.)
--Some of the entries were written about memories, weren't they?
Ishida: There was one with a message describing a memory of playing Klonoa with their grandfather when it was first released! We, the production team, were very moved when we read it. They also expressed the world of Klonoa with a decorated cake and played a song on a flute.
Ikeuchi: Anyway, all of the entries were so wonderful that it was impossible to select only 25 for the awards. I am very grateful to everyone who entered this year's contest.
--I am very grateful to everyone who entered this year's contest, and I am sure that this work is truly loved by many fans. After the remastering, I think there are high expectations for the future development of this work. To the extent that you can answer our questions, please tell us about future measures and developments.
Ikeuchi: We are planning a series of initiatives to please our fans. For example, we are working on a number of collaborations for goods, such as Nendoroid figures, hoodies, and iPhone cases, which we announced on SNS. We will continue to announce as we are able, so please look forward to it!
Tumblr media
--Finally, please give a message to those who have been supporting the Klonoa series.
Ikeuchi: We are very grateful that there are so many people in the world who still say "I love Klonoa," even though it has been a long time coming for our fans. I would be very happy if the release of Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series can be an opportunity for those who have loved the series as well as those who are playing for the first time to enjoy the world of Klonoa.
Ishida: For Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, we have added elements that make it easy to play even in this day and age, and we have done our utmost to respect the original work and allow people to enjoy the world view. On the 25th anniversary of the game, Klonoa and his friends are back. We hope you will enjoy another adventure with them!

TW: Suicide , Death , Sexual Assault/Harassment
She’s So Lucky, She’s A Star: The Life And Death of Ashley Massaro
Five years ago today , former WWE Diva , Actress, Reality Show Star , and Model, Ashley Massaro was found dead.
Ashley Massaro was born in New York City, New York on May 26, 1979 to Ronnie and Barbara Massaro. Her father , brother , and uncle competed in amateur wrestling in Babylon, New York, where she would spend the majority of her childhood. Massaro would finish high school in 1997 at John Glenn High School in Elwood , New York and soon furthering her education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, following it with a minor degree in Business from the State University of New York Albany before starting her career in the modeling industry.
Ashley Massaro started her modeling career by competing in the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Beauty Pageants. She won the title of Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA in 2002 and the same title for the Canada branch of the brand in 2004. She also posed for magazines such as Stuff, FHM, and Maxim before signing with WWE and posing for the cover of Playboy. However , she did pose for the magazine in 2003 and 2004. She auditioned for Playboy scouts when they were auditioning aspiring models for the 50th Anniversary Playmate Hunt. She also posed for Femme Fatales and Flex Magazines.
Massaro’s big break came in 2005 when she entered the WWE RAW Diva Search. She entered the search when she met with a WWE casting agent during a swimsuit competition. She won the competition after beating out seven other women. Her prize was $250,000 and a one year contract with the wrestling company. She was attacked by Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle on RAW a week later as a way to ‘ welcome ’ her to WWE. Alongside their enforcer, Victoria, they were known as Vince’s Devils, a stable of Divas who named themselves after WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon. Massaro made her debut alongside her trainer and friend, Trish Stratus, to help defeat the stable. Ashley soon had an another big feud, against Mickie James , who was also debuting around the same time as her. Stratus and James were in a storyline where Mickie was an obsessed fan of Trish. Thus, Ashley was thrown in there as Trish’s friend and was always attacked and losing matches thanks to Mickie’s jealousy and obsession with Trish.
Nevertheless , during the 2006 WWE Draft , she was drafted to Smackdown and soon became a valet for the tag team of Brian Kendrick and Paul London. She made her debut for the brand alongside Jillian Hall in a tag team match against Michelle McCool and Kristal Marshall. Massaro did have two well known matches. She faced Melina for the WWE Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 23 and a Playboy Lumberjill match at Wrestlemania 24.
In 2007, Massaro was the Diva to be chosen to be on the cover of Playboy Magazine. She also posed for a few magazines and starred in music videos as well as making a few appearances in TV shows. Ashley doing Playboy led her to be in a storyline with Jillian Hall, who became jealous of her popularity due to the magazine. She asked for her release from the company in 2008 to go take care of her young daughter, Alexa, who was sick at the time.
Ashley Massaro was a contestant on Survivor: China in 2007. She had a feud with another contestant on the show, Dave Cruser. They were both assigned to the Zhan Zu tribe. She was eliminated in the second episode of the show. The same year, Massaro and fellow WWE Wrestler, Kane, made guest appearances on the show, Smallville. She also appeared on the Fuse TV show , ‘ The Sauce ’. Massaro and a few other women’s wrestlers starred in Timbaland’s music video for his song , ‘ Throw It On Me ’. The following year , she was in the video for the band, Rev Theory, and their song , ‘ Hell Yeah ’. She also made her video game debut in Smackdown vs RAW 2008 and was added in the game the same year. She also was on Extreme Makeover : Home Edition with John Cena and Batista and as Danny Bonaduce’s personal trainer in Breaking Bonaduce. She also hosted a few episodes of Wild On! for the E! Entertainment Network in 2003. She returned to wrestling in 2017 on the independent circuit as a manager alongside Jillian Hall. They both worked for Zero1 Professional Wrestling USA. She spent the last part of her life as a radio DJ in 2018 in Long Island.
Massaro joined a Class Action Lawsuit against WWE in 2016 alongside another wrestler. This suit claimed that Vince McMahon concealed the risks of being injured to the point of neurological damage. She also stated that she was Sexually Assaulted during a WWE tour of a military base in Kuwait. McMahon told her not to report it as a way to keep the WWE ‘s reputation and relationship with the military going. She also stated that she was harassed by McMahon himself . She claimed that she saw him making out with other Divas and believed he tried to ruin her career after she rejected his advances.
Massaro struggled with her mental health in her later years. She didn’t show up for work on May 15, 2019 going into May 16 after replying to some fan mail. She was found unresponsive by paramedics at her home in Smithtown , New York. She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after. Ashley Massaro left behind her daughter , Alexa , her mother , Barbara, and her brother , Ronnie. Her cause of death was Suicide by hanging. Her death sparked a conversation about mental health in the wrestling business just as fellow wrestlers’ , Hana Kimura’s and Daffney’s did. Ashley Massaro is buried at St.James Episcopal Church Graveyard in Saint James , New York.
My Final Thoughts:
Ashley Massaro was an amazing wrestler. I loved watching her as a kid and was devastated when she died. To me, she deserved so much better than how she was treated in WWE. I wish she would’ve reached out about her mental health. I also wish people believed her when she spoke about the trauma she went through. I know I believe her. Ashley, I am so sorry you had to go through Hell. I and many others will fight for you to get justice. We miss and love you!
Please reach out if you need a friend to talk to. I’ll do my best to try and help. You’re loved and you’re needed in this world!
Love You All My Readers,
- Kay

Billy Idol talks upcoming pre-Super Bowl show, recent Hoover Dam performance, working on a new album
Tumblr media
LOS ANGELES
Billy Idol normally takes advantage of riding his motorcycle on the open road knowing there’s hardly any traffic because millions are usually glued to watching the Super Bowl.
But this year, Idol’s bike won’t be leaving his garage on game day. Instead, the legendary British rocker will be strolling on stage to headline a pre-game concert in Las Vegas ahead of the big game on Feb. 11 just outside Allegiant Stadium, where the NFL’s two best teams face off.
Idol, 68, is expected to perform some of his biggest hits including “Dancing with Myself” “Mony Mony” and “Rebel Yell” during a 35-minute set on two different stages at On Location's Club 67 and Touchdown Club in front of nearly 9,000 anticipated guests. It’s the second time the singer has taken part in a pre-Super Bowl show after he rocked out with Miley Cyrus three years ago outside Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
In a recent interview, Idol exclusively chatted with The Associated Press about his Super Bowl halftime aspirations, the inspiration behind his Hoover Dam show, if he would ever consider doing Broadway and looking to soon release his first studio album in a decade.
Remarks have been edited for clarity and brevity.
AP: What will be your mentality heading into your show hours before the Super Bowl?
IDOL: It’s about adding excitement to the event. You’re pumping people up. That’s a fun feeling. You can tell the people are excited, what’s going to happen and you’re entertaining them in those moments before it really happens.
AP: Would you ever want to perform during Super Bowl halftime?
IDOL: That would be incredible. But I don’t know. It would be fantastic, but I cannot imagine me being asked to do it. It would be great. I’d love to do it. It would be amazing if it involved some other artists or a combination of people. That would be great. It would be one of the craziest things in the world to play. Everybody in the country watches it. Playing the pregame for me is good. Pumping people up before it and getting them ready is kind of a fun thought.
AP: You celebrated the 40th anniversary of your album “Rebel Yell” and had a five-night residency in Las Vegas last year. How does it feel to have your music still resonating today?
Tumblr media
IDOL: When we were starting out, I couldn’t have imagined the effect of (our) music. We were living one day at a time. The songs were for that time period. They were just for that moment. You weren’t thinking about any long-term effects. You’re just thinking right now. But the songs have legs. It’s like “Wow, people have really embraced this crazy idea I had years ago.” They’re still enjoying it, and I am too. Who would have thought that 40 years later? I’m still pinching myself.
Tumblr media
AP: You released a couple EPs and recently rereleased “Rebel Yell.” Will you drop any new music soon?
IDOL: We have a new album coming out in October this year. We’re still carrying on and enlarging what my music is about. I enjoy doing it. Me and (guitarist) Steve (Stevens) are still finding ways to excite ourselves. We’re not out there going through the motions. We’re actually out there taking prisoners. That’s how we feel.
AP: How far along are you in the process?
IDOL: We’ve got most of it recorded with just some finishing touches. We’re doing a cover. We’re thinking about videos and all the promotional things that go along with it. There’s a lot of stuff we’re going to be thinking about this year. But. .... playing at the Super Bowl, that’s pretty fantastic.
AP: You have a built-in fanbase. With your new album, have you taken a different approach musically with your upcoming project compared to past works?
IDOL: Not really. We’re bouncing off our last album “Kings & Queens of the Underground.” We did that in England and had strings on it. With this, we tried to make a lot more of an up-tempo album. There are nine songs and six of them are up-tempo. Three of them are kind of slower. It’s more of a youthful sounding record. I think it’ll allow our audience to have a lot of fun.
AP: What inspired you to perform at Hoover Dam?
IDOL: It was something like I would see in movies when I was a child. There was an Alfred Hitchcock movie (“Saboteur”) that referenced Hoover Dam. There was another film “711 Ocean Drive” that ended on the Hoover Dam. You know, it had a shootout. For someone like me, growing up in England, I saw this iconic place in movies then I got to play in front of it. Hoover Dam was right behind me with my logo on it, which was insane.
AP: Are there any other locations like Hoover Dam where you would like to perform?
IDOL: Mount Rushmore. I couldn’t have ever imagined Hoover Dam, so now the world is my oyster. There’s the incredible Crazy Horse statue that’s carved out in the Black Hills. We can play anywhere. Nothing can stop us.
AP: Have you ever thought about doing Broadway?
IDOL: Of course, we have. We haven’t quite worked out our direction. We’ve had several different ideas we’ve sort of fielded. Nothing has come to fruition yet. As you can see, they’re doing Prince’s “Purple Rain” on Broadway, so it’s not out of the question that we would do one. It’s just been sort of trying to work out how to do it. That’s what’s fun about having a catalog. It does resonate with a lot of people and there are possibilities like that in the future.

De-Evolution Is Real: The Restored Films of DEVO with Gerald Casale and Mark Mothersbaugh at The Museum of Modern Art
Tumblr media
Full gallery available on my website here.
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, The Museum of Modern Art screened restored videos from the Akron, OH band known as DEVO as a part of their “To Save and Project: The 20th MoMA International Festival of Film Preservation” series. The restoration and screening coincided with the 50th anniversary of the formation of the band.
I first discovered DEVO many years after the group was founded. They had a hit song with a single, “Whip It,” that was released the year I was born. The song would play on the radio and when I was older, I finally saw the video on MTV (or VH1) and was struck by the video. It made me laugh and I decided to check out more. I ended up purchasing a two CD compilation released in 1990: one disc was their Greatest Hits and the second disc was titled Greatest Misses. Their sense of humor was right up my alley. So was their weirdness and politics. In college, I enrolled in a class at Fordham University called “Popular Music As a Form of Communication.” One day, my professor, Anahid Kassabian, played DEVO’s cover of “(I Can’t Get Me No) Satisfaction” for the class and asked if anyone knew who the band was. I immediately knew but hesitated to answer. I looked around when I saw no other hands raised, I then put mine in the air and gave the answer, she smiled and seemed relieved that at least one young person knew the group’s music. Both of these aforementioned songs had their videos restored by Peter Conheim who was in conversation with Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale at MoMA last night.
Before the restored videos were screened, MoMA curator Josh Siegel talked about his connection with the band before introducing ex-Negativland member Conheim who worked on the restoration of these videos. The earlier ones that were shot on film were restored from the negative, but the later videos that were shot and edited on video were more difficult to upgrade, and some are still in progress. The item in the program that I was most excited to see was the live footage of the band’s first performance in New York City at Max’s Kansas City in 1977. They were introduced to the stage by David Bowie and wore extremely short shorts in this performance. It was definitely of those things that I truly wish I was alive to witness in person. When “Freedom of Choice” was shown, I realized that it was the second time in one day I saw a man on a leash (photos of the first instance are to come hopefully tomorrow). I also saw someone get spanked earlier in the day, just like in one of DEVO’s videos, too.
After the videos were shown on the large screen of Theater 1, Conheim was joined by Mothersbaugh and Casale who spoke candidly about their band. Casale appreciated that the audience laughed when a baby was thrown in the air. We also clapped excitedly after each video was shown. Casale admitted that the record executive character in a couple of their videos was based on an amalgam of people and the things he said were direct quotes. One of the questions from the audience was regarding Mothersbaugh’s commercial work and he revealed that he did a Hawaiian Punch commercial and added in a subversive message of “sugar is bad for you.”
DEVO were just at Sundance Festival for their documentary and hopefully that film, plus these restored videos become available commercially for fans to see at some point in the future. Images from the Q&A session appear in the above gallery, and many thanks to Peter Conheim for his efforts in restoring DEVO’s videos and for Gerald and Mark for taking the time to make an appearance at MoMA last night.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
On October 17, I got to work on making this Paramount Home Entertainment-themed cover art of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa early on its 15th anniversary. Cropped any unnecessary edges and loose ends that remained via Microsoft Paint for good measure.
As with my previous PHE cover art, I used the apps on my phone, Image Warp and PhotoLayers, to make the slanted versions of the covers.
Now the cover itself was a challenge as I wanted to make it reminiscent to the theatrical poster. As I had the benefit of minimal space for the DVD cover, I had to edit the background without the background characters (which, oddly, were taken from a screenshot from the movie itself). With the use of Background Eraser and PhotoLayers, I made the background all gradient green.
After making the front covers for Escape 2 Africa's 15th anniversary, that meant making the back covers the next day. My first attempt was a bust as I had no room for the bar code which would cover Gloria and Mort, so I started over and went with using the gradient green background, used for the front cover art, again with a PNG of the Zoosters and company on a jeep from the original front cover art (which is pretty memorable, in my opinion) while there was enough space so that you could see all the characters; what remained for the DVD's were the screenshots on the bottom.
As I got the back covers done, the DVD's on October 18; the Blu-ray's on October 19; and the 4K's on October 21, next was adding the text: the accolade and the synopsis. It took several tries, but I finally got 'em the way they needed to be for the spacing and alignment.
With the credits, as my previous Paramount/DreamWorks cover art, they were taken from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's 2018 Blu-ray with the background removed and made transparent and scaled down with a colored background.
I used the back cover art templates from my Shrek the Third back cover art and used that for this as the backgrounds were both green.
The extras listed used the fonts "Prankster JNL" (for the "Feature Film + Special Features" text) and "Las Vegas" (for the listed special features); the "Prankster JNL" font, in particular, was used in the original back covers of the DVD and Blu-ray releases of the movie.
I would have posted this sooner, but I was away at my mom's for nearly five days (while enjoying myself there) and had to wait until I was back home. Here they are now, uploaded later in the day.

BTS’s J-Hope Spoils His Future Schedules After Military Discharge
Tumblr media
He shared it in details on “Suchwita.”
On July 18, BTS member J-Hope appeared as a guest on Suga’s YouTube show Suchwita and revealed some exciting news about his future activities.
Tumblr media
As Suga has mentioned before, he started Suchwita to give his members a platform to promote their works as they venture into solo music careers. J-Hope’s episode was filmed months earlier, on February 17, to be exact. But it was released later to coincide with the first anniversary of his solo album Jack In The Box.
Tumblr media
To celebrate the occasion, J-Hope had prepared ahead to release physical versions of the album. So, even though he is currently serving in the military, this episode technically had this new version of the album to promote. However, like the sly host that Suga is, he managed to extract some exclusive updates about J-Hope’s upcoming schedules as well!
Tumblr media
Emphasizing how meticulous J-Hope is about his planning, Suga mentioned that he already has a six-month plan post his discharge from mandatory military duty. Since the host insisted, J-Hope ended up spoiling a significant bit of his future projects that were already in the works before he even enlisted!
Tumblr media
“It’s not that grand,” J-Hope clarified and said the major project he recently worked on was shooting new content for Jack In The Box physical albums. Suga then nudged him more, saying, “I heard you’re also into editing these days.” In response, J-Hope discussed his collaboration with J. Cole for the “Hope On The Street” single. But it turns out the single is not an isolated release. He has also shot a documentary by the same name, which will be released in 2024!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Talking about the documentary’s content, J-Hope revealed that it will be based on his life and his journey as a dancer. It will feature multiple talented dancers from all around the world that he personally met and filmed with.
Tumblr media
On the one hand, the BTS member wishes to push the Street Dancing scene into the limelight with this documentary, and on the other, he hopes that it will be a treat for fans who were “bummed out” because they didn’t get to see him dance a lot during his solo promotions.
Tumblr media
J-Hope also took special care in curating the documentary and got involved with the editing hands-on.
Tumblr media
In April, J-Hope surprised fans with an original choreography to Suga’s then-newly-released song “People Pt 2.” It turns out that was a part of his Hope On The Street content. The “More” singer additionally revealed that he has also made a choreography to RM’s song “Still Life” for the documentary.
Tumblr media
Hope On The Street will also have an OST album, which will include six songs. “It’s just really light music this time. Song you can dance to,” J-Hope added.
Tumblr media
Hearing about his groupmate’s extensive plans, Suga couldn’t help but say, “These guys are crazy about music.”
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, J-Hope started his mandatory military service on April 18 and is expected to complete it by October 2024. It might be a long time before fans get to see what he has prepared so carefully with Hope In The Box, but the BTS members tend to make the wait worth it.
