There's something incredibly sad and weird about the coquette aesthetic trying to bring back the frills and bows and skirts of an idealized female childhood and presenting this as a reclamation when little girls haven't dressed like that since around the 70s-80s if we're being generous.

What do you mean you're healing your inner child, your outer child was wearing a spangled scarf and a skirt over jeans in 2006.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT SPAWNED YOUR EXISTENCE?

Below the quote, near the very bottom of the page, is a tiny illustration of a very young Bill Cipher. He is drawn completely in grayscale, and is looking down at the ground angrily, fists clenched. He is wearing a pauper's cap and has bandages wrapped around his rightmost angle, which is noticeably longer and more acute than his other angles.

Sea Fairy and Pearl are the same coin but different sides. Pearl was never betrayed by Seaf, she believed it was Seaf who allowed them to be saved on that fateful day (which is true, Seaf ascended when called for), and it was her desire to be like Seaf that drew her to absorbing the Pearl and becoming Black Pearl.

Loyster isn’t sea fairy or moonlight cause he fundamentally lacked a level of awareness and respect for pearl that exists between the pure form of love shared between the sea and the moon, they used the analogy cause it’s a popular form of love language in the CR world. But Pearl knew it didn’t match what they had by the end…

Black Pearl is bitter towards everyone, likely including Seaf. That doesn’t mean she betrayed her or hurt her like Loyster did. It means Pearl is hurting and is externalizing this pain in ways that hurts herself and others.

If there’s any ship that is a SeaMoon allegory, it’s FrilledPearl. As Black Pearl has become the sea, never able to reach the light she longs for. And Frilled is the light that never goes out as the level title said— even without her memories she loves her.

i adored The Sea Beast but i am a little miffed that they absolutely chopped and screwed Red’s design so much like— i feel like it undercuts the point of the entire movie by making the most dangerous and feared monster look so uninteresting and nonthreatening… Maisie and Jacob befriending and absolutely terrifying looking creature despite her appearance would have been the final knot in an otherwise pretty tight story and message overall
