#but xie lian is the one who pulls him close

forever obsessed with the way hua cheng didn’t really intend to enter xie lian’s life. he just wanted to see him. check on him. was pleasantly surprised to have such a nice chat. i get the feeling that he just wanted to make true on the promise he made as a wisp—“I want to protect them. […] then I won’t let them know I’m protecting them either.”
then when they arrived at puqi shrine, he had every intention of leaving—he already did everything he intended to. it’s xie lian who invites him in and asks him to stay at the shrine.

Hi! Can I request a Hua Cheng x bottom male reader x Xie Lian one shot? Maybe that the three of them are already in a relationship together. And maybe when they all go to Qi Rong's (the black water calamity) lair to kill him in that one chapter/episode, Before they start fighting Qi Rong starts flirting with reader and it makes HuaLian jealous as fuck. And so when they defeat him they drag reader back to the Puqi Shrine and reminds him who he belongs too 🤭
Also if possible can you make it smut?
Feel free to delete this ask if you want tho!
Look At Me
Hua Cheng x M!reader x Xie Lian
Tumblr media
Sorry it took so long I'm still in school guys 😞 at first I was confused because I thought you were talking about He Xuan because I was sure he was the black water calamity
I forgot the prince's name guys
I made up connections for Qi Rong and reader
Ignore grammar mistakes
Slight ooc?
Smut ahead!!!

They knew it wasn't going to be easy, nor was it going to feel good. Hua Cheng has meant to find Qi Rong, reveal the truth to Lan Qin Qao, and continue on with their lives. Well, he just wanted to beat the shit out of Qi Rong for what he did to Xie Lian.
All of you went to Qi Rong's lair, and watched Hua Cheng beat Qi Rong's face into the ground. Then you all got to listen to the truth about the banquet. So far so good. 'good' is an emotional ride for everyone there. But that was the whole point anyways.
Everything was going as planned, in Hua Cheng's book anyways. Until Qi Rong started slandering Hua Cheng and Xie Lian. He started yelling about how Hua Cheng was Xie Lian's dog, and how Xie Lian is so pure he must've been blinded by it.
You have a deep past with Xie Lian, and a relationship with both men so of course you aren't happy to hear these things. Especially from Qi Rong. You used to be close with him, of course you were. He was Xie Lian's cousin so obviously you would've met him. Now look at Qi Rong. It was truly pitiful.
You were upset by the words Qi Rong was saying, he used to be such a good child for you. The things he was saying weren't fair to your lovers, you also didn't want to see Qi Rong get beat up anymore. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng already had a go at him.
"Qi Rong you've grown to have such a vulgar tongue, please be quiet." You weren't going to hit anyone, you're too sweet for that, so you could only ask him nicely. It's the first thing you've said since you've been here. You haven't said anything, rather staying quiet instead. You just didn't want things to escalate further.
You hadn't expected it to work, Qi Rong is. . . Unstable, to put it nicely. Plus he hasn't looked at you this whole time you doubt he remembers you at all. It's been so long.
Qi Rong snaps his head towards you and his giggling dies down. "Y/n? Y/n is it really you? What a wonderful reunion this is!" Even though Qi Rong had just been upset about 'people throwing a party in his lair'.
"Come closer, come closer I want to see your face y/n. It seems you've been by my high and mighty cousin all this time." He grins widely. You don't reply to that, you don't know what to say. You had gone to step forward though, to allow Qi Rong to see your face after all these years.
Xie Lian stopped you though. Where he usually is so hesitant to touch you has been thrown away, he pulls you by the elbow, behind him now. Xie Lian doesn't know why he does it. Anger? Jealousy? Selfishness? Protectiveness? Hostility? Who knows but he knows that him and Hua Cheng will lose it if Qi Rong dares to spit harmful words towards you.
But Qi Rong doesn't. He does the contrary, as if Qi Rong had really missed you. As if he had a right to your person. He laughs, finding it hysterical how Xie Lian pulls you behind him. How his big cousin is selfish even though he acts like the most selfless person to ever breathe. "Hahaha! Look at you big cousin! Look, look! You've always been selfish! Selfish!" He laughs and laughs against the ground.
Qi Rong looks at you, what he can see peaking over Xie Lian's shoulder anyways. "Y/n, Y/n I've missed you over these 800 years. You must've been blinded by big cousin's light too! His pureness and selflessness right?! You should come with me instead. I miss Y/n's pretty face I haven't seen it in so long!" And he dares to try and reach a hand to your robes.
You don't know if he's being honest in his words or if he's saying it to piss off your lovers. You wouldn't put it past him. "Qi Rong please" you hiss through your teeth. You had been so focused on Xie Lian that you had completely forgotten about the seething ghost behind you.
Hua Cheng's devotion to Xie Lian is admirable and his devotion to you is the same. Qi Rong very quickly finds his face being slammed into the ground again. It's a very gruesome sight and you didn't enjoy it all. Hiding behind Xie Lian and covering your ears as Qi Rong continues to roll your name over his tongue.
Things pass, and tensions increase. Eventually leading to Qi Rong being cut in half and thrown into boiling liquids. Even though Xie Lian drags you off, you can't help but stare where Qi Rong was thrown.
Once the three of you are out of the lair, you're all interrupted by Shi Qingxuan and Feng Xin. Feng Xin wants the two of you to come back to the heavens. To come home. He demands it actually, threatening Hua Cheng with his bow and arrow. Shi Qingxuan stops him though. You and Xie Lian get pulled behind Hua Cheng.
Once things smooth over with them and Hua Cheng bullies Feng Xin with blood rain, you were expecting to go back to the heavens with Xie Lian. The two of you do need to get up there and explain everything that has happened. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng decide differently though. Instead you're dragged off and your lovers are eerily silent, seething quietly. You don't know what to say, because you don't know why they're upset. So you don't say anything you let them drag you along.
They've taken you to Puqi shrine. You can only assume that maybe after such a tiring day, that everyone is missing home. Maybe your lovers just want to spend a few hours with you and have some peace. To make what happened earlier a distant memory. Your mind is quickly changed.
Your assumptions prove wrong when Xie Lian drags you through the door and shoves you down on the mat. "H-hey! What is wrong with you?" You look away. Xie Lian grips your jaw and snaps your gaze back towards him. "Look at me, don't look away again" Xie Lian has never treated you so roughly. You've known him a long time and he's always treated you carefully. Not even in bed does he usually dare to treat you so hard.
You try to gain your balance, and to get off of the floor. You're quickly pulled back by your shoulders and your back meets Hua Cheng's chest. Leaving you between your two, seething lovers. And you? You poor, oblivious thing. You don't even understand why.
"A-Lian, San Lang! Why are you acting like this!?" You're left with no answer besides Xie Lian practically tearing at your robes and San Lang pinning your back against his chest. He's not giving you the chance to move away. Not that you would anyhow.
Hua Cheng being angry, and upset is nothing new. It's concerning sometimes but he tends to pout a lot so you expect it. Seeing Xie Lian angry, is frightening. Well, not exactly but you haven't seen him angry in a long time but he's never been angry with you. Ever.
You're stripped quickly, and your hands shoot out to Xie Lian's face. Holding his face in your hands, making him look at you, forcing him to pause in his ministrations. "A-Lian, what's wrong?"
Xie Lian's brow furrows and he lets out a shaky breath. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry y/n" he huffs softly and holds your wrist. He moves his face to the side and kisses your palm. "Qi Rong was right I am selfish. I am, I shouldn't be but I can help it. But I'm selfish for good reasons" he moves closer, nipping at your neck. His usual soft kisses, become possessive bites.
"I have a right to claim you, to touch you. You're mine. You're San Lang's. You're ours" he hisses through his teeth and he bites your shoulder hard. His hands roam while he talks, spreading your legs and his oiled fingers prod at your hole. Where did he get a bottle of oil? When did he even do that?
San Lang makes himself busy by kissing you and shoving his tongue down your throat. Stealing your breath as if it were his. Not that he needs to breathe.
Xie Lian continues, "But what right does he have to claim you? To try and take you away from me, from us?" Xie Lian growls out, and presses fingers up against your prostate. It didn't take long for him to find it, he's explored you many times. It causes you to arch against San Lang's chest and moan into his mouth.
Xie Lian doesn't feel like being nice today though because his fingers continue to rub and curl up against your prostate. You squirm against them both, moans being ripped out of you by Xie Lian nimble fingers. "A-Lian, A-Lian, please~!"
San Lang bullies you too, making you dizzy from his kisses and his forces your legs apart. He's encouraging Xie Lian to bully you. San Lang is good in bed and Xie Lian is usually obedient, but Xie Lian getting out of his shell to bully you? San Lang enjoys it thoroughly.
One of his hands wraps around your dick and he strokes you, he only makes it worse. The two take out their frustrations on you, leaving you to mumble their names. With both of them bullying your front and back, it's not long until your cumming. A long moan spills from your lips and your legs try to clamp shut. San Lang doesn't let them though.
You double over and heave a breath when they don't stop. Xie Lian bullies your prostate and San Lang moves his fingers faster around your dick. It quickly puts you into overstimulation and pretty tears drip from your eyes. "No, no, slow down~" You whine, and your legs shake into San Lang's hold.
"Tell us who's you are then" San Lang purrs in your ear. Another orgasm is forced out of you and you babble some more. "Xie Lian d-does, San Lang too. Please!" You squeal from the pleasure.
Those words are forced out of you many times that night, because they don't intend to let you get away so soon. They bully you for the rest of the night and when you show up in the heavens the next day you have a slight limp. The other officials are worried you were injured by Hua Cheng, but it was both Xie Lian and Hua Cheng who made you cry on their cocks.

Fic Finder
~*~
1. Hi, me again!! Returning to your amazing site!! I hope you can help me find this fic!! I'm looking for a fic where WWX doesn't die in his first life, but he ends up in a paperman and in Yummeng they have to find a way to returning him to his body!! Please help!! Be well :) @monicaop21
NOT FOUND! 🧡 a paper friend by soft_wanning (G, 4k, WangXian, Canon Divergence, Fluff, Paperman!WWX, Identity Porn, Meet-Cute, Different First Meeting) I'm not sure this is right but I'd thought I'd mention it just in case - Mod C
I remember this one but can't find it! Iirc, WWX was in a coma in Lotus Pier, but the rest of the cultivation world was told he was dead. Can't remember how his spirit ended up in a paperman, but all the Lotus Pier people knew, and eventually LWJ figured it out when he was visiting for a cultivation conference or something. I think they were trying to figure out how to get WWX back into his body when MXY did his ritual and WWXs spirit was pulled out of the paperman and everyone freaked out that he'd died for real this time
FOUND!🔒 something like by silversshadow (T, 69k, WangXian, XuanLi, SongXiao, Canon Divergence, Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Temporary Character Death)

2. Hi!! Thank you for all your hardwork here.
I was looking for this fic where Wei Wuxian doesn't get adopted by the Jiangs.( I'm not sure if it was because he retained his memories of his earlier life.) Anyway... he gets the Dafan Wens at Yiling and closes Yiling with a barrier that no one can break through.
At some point Lan Wangji comes by and meets Wei Wuxian and there's a little bit of an identity crisis happening because Wuxian doesn't want to tell Wangji who he is but the smart Lan figures it out (I think lol) Also the war happens (again not so sure) but anyway all the sects comes to ask for refuge at Yiling.
The part I remember really well is where The Jiangs come by boat and Yu furen is her usual self with her condescending attitude.
I also remember a section where, towards the beginning, Wuxian actually cures the Burial mounds and like the entire village just loves him and takes care of him because he's such an angel.
Please find this for me cuz I went through 115 pages in my history and still couldn't find it. @poetic-writes
FOUND? The Devil That You Forgot by pottedplnt (Not Rated, 20k, WIP, WangXian, Canon Divergence, BAMF WWX, YLLZ WWX, Rogue Cultivator WWX, WWX Isn't Adopted by the Jiāngs, Angst, Sentient Burial Mounds, Demonic Cultivation, Somebody Lives/Not Everyone Dies, Angst with a Happy Ending, Sunshot Campaign, Chronic Pain, JFM and YZY Bashing, Bad Parent YZY, Jiāng Family Bashing)

3. hiii for the next FF I’m looking for a modern wangxian fic where wy is a toymaker and LZ is a writer and single father to lsz. It’s largely comfort where wy reintroduces LZ to the magic of imagination I think and idk if it’s only where i stopped but the most recent scene was lz’s mother being stuck in the hospital. I also rmb that wy couldn’t leave the toy shop for long. @crazy-gay-killxr
FOUND! Pure Imagination by Witch_Nova221 (T, 119k, wangxian, LXC/NMJ, JYL/JZX, LSZ LWJ & WWX, modern w magic, Romance, Toys, Toy maker, Magic, Found Family, Family Feels, Family Drama, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, Angst with a Happy Ending, Hospitals, Mentions of Cancer, Minor Character Death, Grief/Mourning, Loss of Parent(s))

4. Hi!! Thanks for your work, I have been looking for a fic I read I while ago. It is a MDZSxTGCF crossover, it starts with Wei Ying arriving to ghost city after his death and Hualian finding him (I'm pretty sure he calls Xie Lian an angel at some point). Some time later, Lan Zhan travels to the ghost city to find Wei Ying, he doesn't find him but Hua Cheng lent him some luck so they can reunite soon.
Thank again for everything!!! @jesuqueso

5. hi! im looking for a fic where the juniors of lotus pier think wwx gives the worst punishment. in reality, wwx just deliveres them to the most appropriate adult to deal with it. like if the best punishment would be "im not mad just disappointed" lecture, then he'll drop the kids off to jaing yanli or if they need handstands then to lan wangji and so on.. but wwx himself rarely punished them and somehow the juniors came to the conclusion that he must give out the worst punishment
this was just a small scene from a long fic. not even related to plot, i think this scene was towards the end. @mumblerovertmblr
FOUND! I'm pretty sure 5 is And Time Is But a Paper Moon by sami (M, 139k, WangXian, XiChengQing, Time Travel, Fix-It, Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies, Healing, Mental Health Issues, PTSD, Hurt/Comfort, Depression, BAMF WWX, BAMF JC, BAMF LWJ, BAMF JYL, Getting Together) or one of its sequels / yes like previouly said, it is in And Time Is But A Paper Moon by sami, in chapter 20!
~*~
6. For the next Fic Finder – I was looking for a fic to suggest for an ITMF request, but I can’t find it! It’s a modern AU, where LQR suggests a marriage between JYL and LWJ (after a scandal with JGS comes to light, making JZX a bad option even though JYL still wants to marry him). But LWJ and WWX are already secretly dating, so WWX chaperones JYL and LWJ on a “date” where they finally tell her they are together, and then go about telling the rest of their family through the rest of the fic. @eorlgreylady
FOUND! I think 6 is A Sequence of coming out by kippalittlefox, but it seems to be deleted.
~*~
7. What I remember from it is that WWX was in the bath before some people broke into the jingshi and held him hostage when LWJ got back. He had a string to his throat, or a knife not fully sure. After the guys that broke in were killed and it was like the next day, JC came by and the three of them started talking in the middle of CR so that the others would know that LWJ killed the men because they tried to kill his husband and if they wanted to see the scar left across WWX's throat.
This part was at the end of it, but I don't remember it being long. Don't really remember honestly
FOUND! sounds like No journey is too long by dea_liberty (M, 12k, wangxian, Post-Canon, Found Families, Epilogue, Happy Ending, Some angst, a lot of feelings, WWX has some PTSD to deal with, Minor Violence) the last in a five-part post canon series. The incident takes place in an inn, not the Jingshi, but other details match
~*~
8. Hi! I’m kinda desperate now.
I’m looking for a fic where a-yuan or I think OC child is wwx and lwj biological child. I remember there is a chapter wherein before dying (due to canon stuff), wwx confessed to lwj that they had a child together. Then wwx died and I think they search for for the child (I forgot who saw the child but I sure it is either lxc or lwj)
I really appreciate it if you help me😭
~*~
9. Hey! I'm looking for a fic I've read once but can't seem to find it anymore.
It was a modern Wangxian au where LWJ is a motorbike racer and WWX is a single parent to A-Yuan. LWJ sees WWX on the street as he drives by and circles back just to ask him out on a date. Incredibly sweet fic and I would like to read it again.
Thank you! 😘 @lucica-stuff
FOUND! My Heart is the Finish Line by UseMyMuse (E, 29k, WangXian, Bikerji, dadxian, Mpreg)
~*~
10. There's a long modern au where lwj and lxc are art agents or something and wwx is an artist. But the main thing of the fic is that wwx hears from mxy that lwj FUCKS and might have a spreadsheet for it. This turns wwxs world upside down cause lwj is his best friend and he'd never known this. Then there's pining. Wwx painting a triptych, pining while fucking and finally the two idiots talk. There was also a b side version from lwjs pov. I cannot find this fic now. Help.
FOUND! show me a quiver, give me tonight by spookykingdomstarlight (E, 115k, wangxian, lwj/others, communication failure, mutual pining, artists, demisexual wwx, angst w/ happy ending)

11. hello! i need help looking for a fic please 🙏🏻
i remember a lot but these are the important bits: modern au, wwx & lwj used to be classmates, nhs finally convinced wwx to confess his feelings for lwj, and when he did (in public, blurting out loud cause he was VERY nervous), lwj thought it was a prank, got angry and rejected wwx. wwx was devastated, nhs felt guilty, planned to drink & then met wen xu. wwx and wen xu get together, but wwx ran away (?) with wx. he was actually in an abusive & manipulative relationship with wx. then wwx adopts wen yuan and he fled with wy. years later, wwx owns a cafe, wy is a teen and they accidentally meet lwj again at the cafe. the junior ensemble is there, things happen and wx finds wwx but there is a happy ending.
i have TRIED looking for it myself but to no avail. (This part added to an itmf)
we are blessed in this community for all the work that you do, thank you so much! 🙇🏻‍♀️ @emkaii

13. Hi can you guys help me find a fic? It was a modern au; it was about Lwj slowly realizing the Jiangs neglect Wwx or something along those lines. I remember two scenes, one where they were talking about gifts, and Wwx said Madam Yu got him shampoo and conditioner for his birthday, and Wwx thought that was normal. The second scene was Lwj learning Wwx is left alone in the house when the Jiang family goes on vacation.

14. this is for ficfinder.

15. For fic finder: It was a modern au about sport dueling. You could duel in pairs or one on one, and WWX and JC were raised to be a pair but Madame Yu kept them apart, I think? Anyhoo, JC goes on to pair with Jiang Yanli and WWX eventually teams up with LWJ and win the championship. I feel like someone got kidnapped halfway through?

16. Hi! I can't seem to find a fix I really loved -- I remember it was sort of cyberpunk cultivation world and wwx downloaded himself into a sexbot which fought with lwj who realized he was fully sentient and took him home. There's eventual wen remnants and wwx has a secret agenda.

18. Hii I'm looking for these fics I read not long ago, couldn't find it anymore,
A) it's a short one I believe? Where nie huaisang kinda drags wwx with him to the past and wwx was livid (wwx chocked nhs or something), the scene happened in front alot of ppl .
B) I've read multiple like this one can't remember the exact one but it's where wwx was actually female, and hid her true ID from the jinags, and was discovered by the Lans or something
C) it's similar to b but I remember this scene it was an established Relationship post canon? Where wwx got her og body back after being resurrected by male mxy
Thanks in advance ☆ @karinasnowwwx

20. Hello! I’m trying to find a modern AU fic where the Lans still run a school, and in the backstory, WWX did something, got expelled over it (can’t remember why, it’s either punching JZX or messing with LWJ) and after being sent home, Madam Yu disowned him and threw him out of the house. There was also a mention that LQR was horrified, because the other times he expelled someone, they simply petitioned to be readmitted to the school and he was expecting that to happen with WWX.
Unfortunately that’s all I remember. Any ideas help!

You looked before you frowned, Something was off. You knew it. Never over the last 16 years have you felt such unease. "I wonder if they know about me?" you question yourself out loud not noticing your lover behind you." is something wrong sweetie" You look up only to see his honey-colored orbs covered with worry. despite breaking up the two of you still took care of each other, promising one another you would come to the place where the moon shone the brightest. Yu Jun Mountain, happy memories as well as bad ones.” do you wish to dance away the worries with me” he held out his hand. You took it. His touch felt like it would be the last you would feel it.’ well if all is
going to fall, I might as well enjoy my last ounce of freedom.” you thought as you forced a smile. The two of you danced, spin after spin, jump after jump. leap after leap, and when (e/hn) pulled you ever so close to his face, you rested your hands on his chest clutching them. Your lips were ever so lonely but when you felt his you felt complete as if you found the other piece of a puzzle. You were first to break the kiss gazing at him. ‘There's something I want to say to you” You hesitantly say. He grabs your hand and places it on this cheek before saying” Say whatever you wish but remember I love you” You smile ever so sadly” I’m yours you know and you’re mine Y/n…ahh” A bandage pulls him from the rooftop you too were on and throws him on the ground. As you try jumping to him a hand on your waist stops you.” so the rumors are true” you start trembling in his grasp” Hua cheng please let me go”. He tightens his hold on you.” oh how cute love asking me to let you go after all you did” you gasp you open your mouth to insult him but before you could a scream of agony rang filling in the silent night. you stop.. Tears falling “ let him go, please... Hua Cheng let him go ” He smiled as he warpes your tears ” Oh no we can’t he had you for so, so long and then he called you his quite the thief he..” Hua Cheng looked at you in disbelief..his hand on his cheek. you lept before he could stop you.  When you landed you saw Xie Lian standing above your ex-lover body, who was losing too much blood. you ran and kneeled beside him holding his passing body in your hands. He looked at you with dead eyes”’ p..please..ugh..kee.p m..y ring..i’ lo..ve you..” and with one more cough he passed eyes open his body turning into ashing? you cry, trying to grab hold of the ash, but a huge gust of wind blows them away.” why..why did you do that you..you monsters.” The two just stood there watching you cry until Hua Cheng had enough of it “ Stop wasting your tears it’s annoying” his sharp commanding voice made you fear what would happen to you. You sniffed looking at the ruby-cloured ring..at least you have it. Xie Lian who was still standing came to you and said” Look love we’re sorry but you know we have no choice but to keep you from him” he patted your head. “ how..how did you find me” you felt his hand take a strand of your silver hair before he smiled ”you still have your silver hair love” you shiver and then you start crying. what in heaven did you do wrong,. Lost in your thoughts you overlooked the fact that Xie Lian was carrying you. It was when you felt a needle in your arm and two faces looking at eyes filled with intense love “Rest love we’ll talk later” A tear dropped before your ever-bright eyes turned dull and closed.

Given the noises and scents emitting from the kitchen of their apartment, Xie Lian’s cooking wasn’t going… conventionally well.
Hua Cheng didn’t mind in the slightest, though, humming to himself softly as he twirled his chopsticks expertly around his long fingers. He’d offered his help already, as usual, and Xie Lian had declined, wanting to surprise him with some kind of odd, inventive meal, as usual.
He enjoyed being able to help Xie Lian in every way, but he didn’t argue too much about the cooking matter. Xie Lian was the first and only person who deigned to cook for him, and he seemed to take pleasure in preparing meals, so who was Hua Cheng to argue?
Tapping his chopsticks against the wood of their low-set dinner table gently, Hua Cheng tried to contemplate what Xie Lian had made today. It was an impossible endeavor based on smell alone, but he tried regardless, calling out guesses to amuse his husband.
“Is it… stew?”
“Nope,” Xie Lian called back over the sound of sizzles.
Hua Cheng considered the noises. “Is it… meat?”
“Wrong!”
“Really? Then, is it-”
A light laugh from the kitchen instantly warmed Hua Cheng’s heart. “Stop guessing, San Lang! Let me surprise you for once.”
“Oh, I’m always surprised by your cooking,” Hua Cheng replied sincerely, earning him another laugh.
“I’m almost done, okay? Just wait another minute or two,” Xie Lian told him.
Instantly, Hua Cheng rose from his seat on the floor. “Does gege want help carrying plates to the table?”
“I’m alright!” Xie Lian chirped. A series of sharp clatters met Hua Cheng’s ears and he winced, concerned. “Okay, close your eyes.”
Hua Cheng obeyed, covering his good eye with one hand. Soft footsteps announced the arrival of the martial god, followed by the sound of two plates being set down gracefully on the table in front of him.
“You can open your eyes now,” Xie Lian told him, and he moved his hand away.
The dish was, simply put, a monstrosity. Purple and pink bubbles popped at the surface of a thick, strange substance speckled with starbursts of orange and yellow. Equally horrible was the smell, pungent and awful. Hua Cheng looked up at his husband, seated to his left, with a grin.
“What is it called?”
“I call it ‘Dreams of Summer Nights Passed’,” Xie Lian replied.
Hua Cheng nodded affirmatively, picking up a spoon and stirring it through the plate. Beneath the pink and purple substance was a densely packed white… rock?
“And what’s in it?” Hua Cheng chipped away at the rock for a bite. He brought it up to his lips with a playful smile.
“It’s rice and strawberry curry. I put carrots and corn in it, too. Look, Ruoye helped me cut the carrots into neat pieces!”
Hua Cheng placed the bite in his mouth, chewing slowly. He scraped away at the rice-rock for another bite, mixing it with the curry again.
“It’s good,” he said when he’d finished chewing. “I like it. It’s one of your best.”
Xie Lian beamed at him and pulled his own plate closer to himself. “I’m glad you like my cooking, San Lang,” he told the Ghost King happily, spearing a carrot with the sharp end of his chopsticks.
“Of course I do. What’s not to like about it?”
The god gave him a half-amused, half-exasperated look. “Do you not remember what happened to poor Quan Yizhen?” He popped the carrot into his mouth and chewed thoughtfully.
“Well, it wasn’t your fault that he wasn’t strong enough to handle your food. I, for one, will never ever be sick of, or from, your cooking.”
“Does San Lang promise?” Xie Lian teased.
“Of course, gege,” was his easy response, and he prepared another bite. “I promise.”
Xie Lian grinned at him and Hua Cheng grinned back, savoring the taste of the strange curry and Xie Lian’s happiness.

Hua Cheng woke up feeling terribly, horribly, awfully, dreadfully ill.
He shuddered violently, and Xie Lian shifted in his arms. He froze immediately, then slowly disentangled himself from his sleeping husband, clenching his jaw against the waves of nausea rising up within him.
When Hua Cheng had stumbled out of the room and down the hall, he slumped against the wall and hugged his stomach, willing himself to stay strong.
You’re a Supreme Ghost King. You’re over eight hundred years old. You’ve lived through things that were thousands of times worse than this. This is ridiculous.
He sucked a breath in through aching lungs- then stopped.
The next thing he knew, he was heaving over the toilet.
Hua Cheng shivered miserably, silvery pinpricks of sweat rolling down his spine. The bathroom floor was cold, colder than he remembered, and he clenched the sides of the porcelain bowl with a vengeance.
Another wave of nausea came crashing over him, and he gave in to it, only caring now that his husband didn’t hear him.
A quiet minute passed, then two. Hua Cheng rose on shaking legs to walk to the sink. He caught sight of his own reflection and shuddered. His gaze averted quickly and he splashed water on his face, trying to rinse the foul taste out of his mouth.
What on earth was wrong with him?
He’d never before had this kind of reaction to the food that Xie Lian had cooked for him before. He’d prided himself in the way he never flinched, and had grown to thoroughly enjoy the food that was prepared for him with such love.
Hua Cheng despised this feeling of weakness.
As if on cue, he could feel his stomach churn in rebellion.
It was all he could do to lean over the toilet again, shove his long black hair out of the way, and not make a mess.
❀。• *₊°。 ❀°。
When his vision cleared and his consciousness drifted back into his aching body, Hua Cheng sat up. He rolled his neck, trying to work the stiffness out of it.
Judging by the slant of moonlight shifting through the window, only an hour or two had passed since he’d passed out, slumped against the wall.
Hua Cheng swiped a hand across his mouth, staring with disgust at the bile that came away on his fingers. He stood slowly, trying his best not to stumble, and washed off in the sink again.
Silently, he surveyed the bathroom. Despite his best efforts, he’d made a mess, one he’d rather die than leave for his husband to clean up.
Body still wracked with chills and tremors, Hua Cheng fished paper towels and a cleaning spray out from under the sink. He dropped heavily to his knees, ignoring the pain shooting through his stomach, and began to clean.
Tears began to prickle the corner of his eye and he closed his eyes. Self-hatred and confusion gripped him, and he clenched his fists.
Why would he be having this reaction? Was he really losing his powers? He hated this immensely, hated that he wasn’t strong enough for Xie Lian.
Hua Cheng disposed of the paper towels with shaking hands. He sat down again beside the toilet, hugging his knees, unable to stop the flow of tears down his face.
Slow, unsteady breaths filled his lungs, and he clamped his mouth over his sobs. He was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to crawl back into bed with the warmth of his husband tucked in the curve of his body.
But he still reeked and he would never, ever, ever want Xie Lian to see him like-
“San Lang?”
Hua Cheng froze, trying not to breathe too loudly, raising his other hand to try to stifle himself.
It’s not enough, though, and he let out a loud hic that echoes in the bathroom. Hua Cheng glared down at his hands, annoyed at the way his body seemed to be betraying him at every turn.
“San Lang?” Xie Lian’s voice was closer now, and Hua Cheng tried to sit up straighter. He hated that he’d made him get out of bed.
“Are you in the bathroom? Seriously, what are you doing in there?” Xie Lian’s voice is teasing and gentle until he flicks the light on. His mouth makes the shape of a soft o, unbound hair flowing freely around his shoulders. Lit by the silver light of the moon and the golden light of the bathroom, he looks beautiful, an untouchable god.
Hua Cheng was, by stark contrast, a complete mess. His hair was tangled and undone, falling in messy snarls around his shoulders. The front of his shirt was wrinkled and half-wet from his attempts to clean it off. His stomach still hurt and he could only imagine how pale his skin was.
It was mortifying to be seen like this. He tried not to sniffle, reaching up to wipe the tears off his face.
Xie Lian was quicker, dropping down with his usual grace to cup Hua Cheng’s face with his hands, running his thumbs over his cheeks tenderly. Hua Cheng’s best efforts couldn’t stop the low sob that escaped his lips. He lowered his eyes, embarrassed.
“What’s wrong, San Lang?” Xie Lian moved closer, forcing Hua Cheng to meet the concern in his ethereal golden eyes. He refuses to speak, closing his lips together tightly.
But his husband was perceptive, and the pain in his eye and the way one arm was still half-curled around his stomach protectively must’ve given it away.
“Oh, no.”
Hua Cheng began to cry again, for real this time, and Xie Lian pulled him close. His fingers combed through Hua Cheng’s hair.
“It’s alright. I’m here now. Oh, San Lang, why didn’t you wake me up? You don’t have to suffer alone.”
Hua Cheng’s instincts took over and, in a moment of physical and mental weakness, he finally reached up and pulled Xie Lian’s body close to his own. He tried not to care about how bad he probably smelled.
Xie Lian lost his balance with a soft oof, falling forward onto Hua Cheng’s body. He buried his face in Xie Lian’s soft hair, inhaling deeply. The familiar scent of lavender shampoo filled his senses.
“Will you tell me what happened?” Xie Lian asked Hua Cheng quietly, drawing back slightly to look at him. His voice was steady, and he didn’t pry when Hua Cheng shook his head and pointed to his mouth.
“Okay. I’ll help you up, is that okay?”
Hua Cheng hated feeling powerless, hated the dizziness that overcame him and pushed him to lean heavily on his husband’s side as they shuffled towards the sink together. “Ge.. ge…”
But Xie Lian was strong, and Hua Cheng knew that. “It’s alright, San Lang. Come, here’s your toothbrush. You got it? I can help you…”
Five thoroughly humiliating minutes passed by before they were on their bed, having successfully made it out of the stinking bathroom and into their shared room.
Xie Lian helped Hua Cheng recline his head against their propped-up pillows before he ducked out of the room. He returned with tall glass full nearly to the brim with water. His dependable hands didn’t spill a single drop when they brought the cup to Hua Cheng’s lips, allowing him to drink slowly.
When he was done, Xie Lian placed the cup on the bedside table before climbing into bed with Hua Cheng. He sat beside him, legs pressed against Hua Cheng’s side when he turned to face him. “Are you alright?”
Hua Cheng managed a nod, still too embarrassed to say much more. He found that he was even more reluctant to tell Xie Lian what happened now that he was out of the bathroom and with his husband.
“San Lang.” Xie Lian’s voice was reprimanding, yet kind. “Tell me what happened. Please?”
The two locked eyes, golden eyes determined and shining, black eye a swirl of conflicting emotions.
Hua Cheng could never deny his husband of anything he’d asked, however, and he told him the whole story in strung together pieces, trying desperately not to meet his eyes.
Xie Lian’s hand drifted over to cover Hua Cheng’s and he listened attentively, nodding when it was appropriate. When Hua Cheng finished, Xie Lian sat silently, as if contemplating something.
“San Lang, why wouldn’t you wake me up or tell me?”
“It’s… gege, I never get sick from your food and I don’t ever want you to stop cooking for me just because… because of something like this…” he trailed off, then closed his eyes. “And I don’t even know what caused it. I’m always fine and I love that you cook for m-”
“San Lang,” Xie Lian said, his hand squeezing Hua Cheng’s reassuringly. “Have you ever considered that you might just be… allergic to what I made?” Allergies. Hua Cheng’s mouth opened, then closed. It made sense, and he hadn’t even considered it. “Oh.”
Xie Lian smiled and moved closer, wrapping his arms gingerly around Hua Cheng’s torso and snuggling close. “My poor San Lang. Will you come wake me up if this ever happens?”
Hua Cheng laid his cheek against the top of Xie Lian’s head, nodding.
“Thank you. Do you want to sleep now? You must be tired.”
“Actually, gege… I’m a bit hungry. Any leftovers?”
Xie Lian looked up to gape at Hua Cheng. He chuckled quietly, turning to pull Xie Lian into his arms.
“Only joking, gege. Unless…”
His husband bumped the back of his head against the curve of Hua Cheng’s neck teasingly, and Hua Cheng laughed again, already feeling better.

Miya&Mia's Tickletober Day 14 - Roleplay
HuaLian
Tumblr media
A/N: It's still October 14th here! We have a rushed ugly fic but I hope you enjoy it! Also, no beta read! Sooorryyyyy
Tumblr media
Xie Lian giggled as he adjusted the eyepatch on his own right eye. He looked at himself in the mirror and his smile was so wide that Hua Cheng, who was watching from behind, almost felt heat on his always cold cheeks. Hua Cheng's red clothes were slightly loose and a little long, but from then on, the outfit fit him perfectly. Even that stupid hand-embroidered belt that hugged his waist.
"I didn't know gege would enjoy wearing my clothes this much," Hua Cheng purred, a smirk pulling at his lips. "His Highness should've told me earlier."
Xie Lian turned to face his husband and his eyes twinkled. It was rare to see Hua Cheng wearing such light-color clothing and Xie Lian had second thoughts about this little game. His worn white robe looked ridiculous on someone as elegant and absolutely breathtaking as Hua Cheng. He looked beautiful in every way, but the clothes did not do justice to everything that Hua Cheng was.
He hummed, frowning slightly.
"What is the matter, Your Highness? Do I make that face often? That is something terrible."
Hua Cheng's comment made Xie Lian's lips spread into a bright smile, something very unlikely in Hua Cheng.
"I am sure I do not tease you like that, gege," he said and he laughed loudly when Hua Cheng's eye widened. "What's the matter, gege? Did you like that so much?" His worries were quickly forgotten, he knew that Hua Cheng would never judge his clothes, in fact, he thought that after this little role-play, Hua Cheng would buy him three new tunics of the best fabric.
Hua Cheng opened and closed his mouth a few times like a fish out of water and Xie Lian had to laugh, but he tried to make his laughter sound a bit deep and teasy like Hua Cheng's. Smirking playfully and mischievously like Hua Cheng always did, he hugged his lover's waist, one stray hand going to grab his ass.
Hua Cheng gasped loudly, jumping a little. "Y-Your Highness! A-Ah," he gulped, jumping again when he felt another squeeze. "I- I mean, San Lang."
Xie Lian was around a head smaller than Hua Cheng, so he had to throw his head back a little to look at his husband's face directly. He chuckled when he saw how flustered he had become. His fair cheeks were as white as ever, no blood rushing through them, but he looked nervous and his eye was still wide, looking at Xie Lian.
Xie Lian giggled. "Good job, His Highness. Don't forget who you are right now."
"San Lang is teasing me too much," Hua Cheng said slowly and Xie Lian felt his ears getting a little hot when he heard that phrase he said at least twice a day.
"Oh? I thought gege loved it when I teased him. Don't you love me anymore, Your Highness?"
Hua Cheng was at a loss for words, and Xie Lian was very surprised to have his husband like this. It was extremely adorable, he thought he understood why Hua Cheng enjoyed teasing him so much.
Xie Lian giggled, suddenly lowering himself so he could pick Hua Cheng up, bridal style. Hua Cheng gasped, clinging to Xie Lian's neck as the Crown Prince walked them to their divan, where he placed Hua Cheng gently before laying on top of him.
Hua Cheng chuckled, his hands going to grab Xie Lian, but he held his wrists and quickly pinned them up above Hua Cheng's head, making him gasp.
"Oops, did gege want to hold me? What a shame, now he can't."
"S-San Lang," Hua Cheng whined. "Why- ah! G-Gege, wahait, nohohot-"
"Ah-ah, I am no gege, Your Highness. I am San Lang and San Lang loves to tickle His Highness."
Hua Cheng broke into loud giggles as he felt fingers skittering against one of his hips. He tried to pull his arms down, but Xie Lian was holding him tightly.
"G-Gegehehehe-"
"That's you, silly."
"Sahahan Lahahang! Plehehease, nohohot tihihick- AHAHA!"
Xie Lian giggled to himself as he squeezed Hua Cheng's hips, jumping from one to the other to have him jumping and shrieking with laughter. He knew his husband wasn't used to tickling at all, Xie Lian was on the receiving end most of the times, so a few squeezes were enough to have Hua Cheng laughing nearly in hysterics.
He was so cute.
"Oh? I always forget how ticklish His Highness is," he purred like Hua Cheng usually did. "I can't seem to get enough of his beautiful laughter so I must tickle him more!"
"S-SAHAHAN LAHAHANG! Plehehease, not thehehere!" He cackled when Xie Lian moved his hands to his inner thighs. "Unfahahair!"
"How is this unfair, gege? It's not my fault you are so ticklish!"
If Hua Cheng could blush, Xie Lian had a feeling he'd be flushing to his ears right now, or at least he knew he would be blushing out of his mind with his husband tickling him mercilessly, but that was something he often did.
"Maybe if gege gives me a kiss…"
"YEHEHES! Yehehehes, Sahahahan Lahahang!"
Xie Lian laughed, letting go of Hua Cheng's wrists and quickly burying his hands under his arms to keep tickling him. Hua Cheng's laughter ringed deliciously through the whole Manor as Xie Lian tickled him. He never thought he'd enjoy this silly idea so much, but he hoped Hua Cheng would be up to try this some other time again.
"I sahahahaid I'll kihihiss you!"
Xie Lian giggled, "ah you're right, but I will tell you when!"
"GEHEHEHEGE!"

“Stop moving, I’m trying to sleep.”
— #39 from this prompt list
“San Lang, stop moving, I’m trying to sleep,” Xie Lian grumbled into the pillow.
No one answered him, but the movement didn’t stop. Annoyed, Xie Lian opened his eyes and turned around to check what his husband was up to when they’d agreed to sleep.
Hua Cheng wasn’t moving. But he was also much farther on the bed than what they usually settled for. Xie Lian blinked, trying to see what was up in the darkness of the room, only lit up by a few silver butterflies.
There was definitely something moving on the bed.
Between Hua Cheng and him was a lump under the covers that moved haphazardly, as if not knowing what to do. Xie Lian immediately sat up and pulled the covers off his body and the mattress next to him. It took him a few seconds to register what he was seeing, after which he couldn’t help but burst out laughing, trying to stay quiet so as to not wake up Hua Cheng.
“E’ming!” he exclaimed the most silently possible. “What are you doing here ah,” he said, picking up the saber and pulling the cover back on.
It seemed he hadn’t been quiet enough because Hua Cheng stirred next to them and sat up, looking sleepy and confused.
“Gege? Is something wrong?” He looked around the huge bed. “Why are you so far away?”
They weren’t far per say, but they really weren’t used to sleeping apart from each other.
“I didn’t move,” Xie Lian began, “I didn’t even fall asleep. It’s just…”
As he spoke, Hua Cheng shuffled closer to embrace him, but that was when he noticed E’ming, which Xie Lian still held in his arms.
“What— What?”
Xie Lian didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry. “I don’t know either. I couldn’t sleep because I felt movement on the bed; I thought it was you but it turned out to be E’ming.”
Hua Cheng blinked for a moment before settling down, seeming to understand something. “Oh.” He nodded.
“Oh?”
“Yes, I see. I know what happened.”
Xie Lian recognized to his tone that Hua Cheng was about to say nonsense again, and he started to smile despite himself.
“What happened?”
“Going for gege while his husband is asleep, what a coward,” Hua Cheng said, wrapping an arm around Xie Lian’s waist and (half-)jokingly glaring at E’ming, who trembled slightly. “Not only did it disturb you as you tried to rest, but its intentions were probably not so well-meaning if it waited until I was asleep to go to you. I suggest we throw it away.” With this, he gestured to reach for E’ming as the latter shook slightly in Xie Lian’s hold as if to say "no, no".
Xie Lian hummed. “I don’t think E’ming meant any harm. What if it was just afraid of you?”
“Nonsense.”
“Then what if it’s jealous?”
“Then perish,” Hua Cheng said.
The situation was too silly and Xie Lian couldn’t help but laugh. “Can’t E’ming sleep with us for tonight?”
Hua Cheng seemed to do his best to look annoyed. “Gege, if you spoil E’ming too much, who knows what it will ask for next?”
“I could say the same when it comes to you.”
Hua Cheng grinned. “What have I ever asked of gege that made him think he spoiled me too much?”
Too many things, Xie Lian thought. But he also couldn’t really complain about them.
He took a breath and settled more comfortably. “Anyway, E’ming came to me first, so I decide it can stay. It’s not a big deal.”
Hua Cheng hummed, looking at the sheathed scimitar with a suspicious look. “Alright, as gege wants.” He closed his eyes. “But one problem and I’m locking it in a room at the other end of Paradise Manor.”
Xie Lian closed his eyes too, smiling. “I’m sure E’ming won’t cause any disturbance.”
As Xie Lian expected, he slept very well with both E’ming and his husband in bed, and while Hua Cheng complained later that E’ming had indeed become spoiled, Xie Lian didn’t mind whenever it happened again.

Again, I know the narrative plays Xie Lian as a fool and a ditz in order to trick the audience into a false sense of understanding his character until the major reveals happen (and I know a large portion of fandom falls for this and actually believes that Xie Lian is a fool), but there’s no way this conversation between Xie Lian and the “teenage boy” play out and people came away with the belief that Xie Lian just accepted that this random teen just so happened to be an expert on the one calamity Xie Lian was most interested in without Xie Lian questioning anything. I mean, upon even meeting the kid, Xie Lian immediately feels like the teen could be the same man who escorted him on his mission:
Xie Lian recalled what he had seen under his veil on that night on Mount Yu Jun and couldn’t help but take a few more glances at those boots. After he confirmed that there weren’t any silver chains hanging on these boots that were made from who knows what kind of animal fur, he thought to himself, “This has to be some family’s Young Master who ran out to play, right?”
—Chapt. 13: Clothes Redder Than Maple, Skin as White as Snow (Part One)
He only backs off the assumption (even though he doesn’t disregard it, and he was right) because he doesn’t have proof for it and also his philosophy is that he does not need to dig into someone’s identity that the person is purposely concealing so long as that person does not appear as a threat. He knows something is off but chooses to accept it, just like during the mission, because it does him no harm to leave the other person their privacy.
On the other hand, Hua Cheng knows that Xie Lian knows. He doesn’t believe his god to be an idiot, so I don’t think the disguise was his attempt at worming his way under Xie Lian’s defenses so as to get close to him but rather his way of testing out whether or not Xie Lian would be accepting of a travel companion while keeping under Jun Wu’s radar. Probably also a hint of his insecurity about his appearance, but mostly the former. Because if he was really trying to hide his identity, he wouldn’t have pulled nearly the amount of shit he did during their journey, especially not in front of “Fu Yao” and “Nan Feng.”

[Kinktober 2022: Hate Sex (18+)]
QiuRong | Heaven Official’s Blessing Modern AU 23-10-2022
Day 23: C̷o̷c̷k̷b̷u̷l̷g̷e | [Hate Sex] | D̷e̷e̷p̷t̷h̷r̷o̷a̷t̷i̷n̷g̷&̷F̷a̷c̷e̷s̷i̷t̷t̷i̷n̷g
Lang Qianqiu and Qi Rong are caught in an argument with each other until Qi Rong hit a nerve and things quickly escalate in a way neither of them would have expected.
====
Neither of them really knew why they were there, at Xie Lian and Hua Cheng’s wedding. Well, Qi Rog knew, seeing he was Xie Lian’s cousin and they had been somewhat trying to get along since the man reappeared.
Though he had no clue why Lang Qianqiu was here, he didn’t know he was that close to the couple.
They had spent most of the day and night avoiding each other. They may hate each other and always be at each other’s throats, but they don’t necessarily want to ruin the day.
But then they end up in the same corner of the venue and try to have one decent discussion for once.
And of course, things quickly escalate.
Neither could really tell how they ended up at this point, Lang Qianqiu looking ready to punch him in the face while Qi Rong was mocking him and taunting him. “What is it, our golden prince doesn’t like being called an inexperienced virgin” Qi Rong grinned.
He didn’t back down even when he was grabbed by Lang Qianqiu, who was now really close to his face now. “I’m not!” he growled, which only made Qi Rong grin even more widely, seemingly thrilled by his reaction. He’s hit a nerve apparently.
“Then why don’t you show me” he laughs, throwing this without thinking too much about it.
“I’ll do!” Lang Qianqiu, took Qi Rong somewhat by surprise, yet they were too heated to stop himself.
“Yeah?” he asked, trying to grind on his nerve even more, see if he’ll back down.+
“Yeah!”.
He was surprised by the sudden aggressive kiss he received from Lang Qianqiu, quickly replied just as aggressively. It was all teeth and bites, grabbing at each other forcefully. They only pulled away for air, noticing that they had caught the attention of some people near them.
Then Lang Qianqiu dragged him out of the room, leaving him in the lobby as he went to book a room. They only got more heated as they got into the elevator, alone all the way to their floor, Lang Qianqiu seemingly tries to prove his experience by making out with him. Which admittedly wasn’t half bad.
Once in the room, clothes were quick to be ripped off of each other, lips barely leaving each other. Hands started running over Qi Rong’s body, exploring until he grabbed he grabs him, dragging him to the bed. He pushed Lang Qianqiu on it, climbing over him, pinning him down with a grin.
“Well? Are you going to let me do everything for you?” Qi Rong laughed.
His laughter was cut off quickly, yelping when the other man flipped them over, now towering above him. This was enough to get a smirk out of Qi Rong, amused by how fierce he was.
Then His wrist gets tied up with a tie Lang Qianqiu had apparently taken to the bed with them. “Kinky~” Qi Rong teased, letting his arm fall over his head. He watches as Lang Qianqiu leans down, “Don’t you ever shut up” he groans, before kissing him so he cannot reply.
Then hands are back to caressing all over his body, teasing him and searching where it felt the best for him. Once the man leaves his lips for air, he feels him kiss down his neck to his chest.
Everything feels too… nice. Soft. Gentle. He hates the way it makes him feel warm somehow.
Qi Rong has had many hookups in his life, a handful of semi-serious relationships, and never has he felt like this. People have always been mean and rough to him.
Never did anyone treats him so gently and softly, not even the handful of women he’s been with.
And the one person who does treat him good is the person who hates his gut (which is reciprocated).
He doesn’t want that. Doesn’t need to feel like that right now.
So he loops his arms behind Lang Qianqiu’s head, hand gripping his hair tightly, pulling him up again so he doesn’t just kiss his sternum nicely. “What a fucking softy, I thought you were trying to prove to me you’re good at fucking people,” Qi Rong says, “Are you just trying to delay fucking me for real” he grins.
He heard the man click his tongue, Qi Rong soon felt himself being flipped over on his stomach, laughing at how forceful he was being like this.
“You can check my pants pocket by the way” he commented, feeling like whatever he’d say, Lang Qianqiu wouldn’t be a huge fan of no lube.
Even if he was having some kind of hate sex to prove a point, he didn’t need to be in pain either.
So the man did check, arching a brow when he saw that Qi Rong was indeed carrying some condom and lube packet with him. “Always needs to be prepared for a good night” Qi Rong grinned from where he was laying on the bed.
“Not that a virgin like you would know” he mocked, yelping when he felt a hand land on his ass, spanking him.
Lang Qianqiu didn’t lose time starting to loosen him up, which wasn’t too hard honestly seeing he had been having some fun by himself the night before.
He had seemingly caught the drift of not needing to be gentle, hand rougher on Qi Rong. Good, like this he wouldn’t get weird ideas.
He would have to argue though, he could do without him teasing and seemingly trying to only milk him with his fingers, pressing all over his prostate. He did allow himself to be shamelessly vocal and loud, even exaggerating more than needed, seeing that it did seem to annoy Lang Qianqiu a little.
Then Lang Qianqiu finally decided it was enough after making him come at least once, burying himself in without leaving time to adapt. All in one go. And Qi Rong would need to admit, the man was actually pretty big, bigger than a lot of people he’s had sex with in the past actually.
The pace was fast and rough, although Lang Qianqiu indeed seemed to be knowing what he was doing. Hand gripping him tightly enough it would likely leave bruises the next day, sometimes going to torture his nipples a little, others simply teasing his cock just barely enough.
He couldn’t help but really moan at the feeling of teeth sinking in, the man leaving angry bite marks on his skin as Qi Rong kept taunting him. At least, when he had enough breath and mind to do so.
They kept going at it for multiple rounds. Until Qi Rong was just boneless on the bed, panting and whimpering from the multiple orgasms he had just had. Lang Qianqiu sure hadn’t been soft on him, he wonder how he’d be doing in the morning.
Somewhere along the way, it felt like they had lost focus as to why they had gotten into this room to begin with.
His wrists felt sore once they were finally released, Qi Rong tried to massage some feeling into them.
He watched as Lang Qianqiu dressed himself up again, looking ready to go. “The room's already paid for, you can stay if you want,” he said.
“How fucking generous of you” Qi Rong laughed, laying slightly on his side.
He didn’t miss the way Lang Qianqiu rolled his eyes at his words. “If you’re gonna leave do so already” he ended up adding, sitting up as he was ready to go take a shower.
He heard the door close as he entered the bathroom, telling him Lang Qianqiu was indeed gone now.
Good, better like this. He took a quick shower, trying to clean as best as he could despite still feeling like jelly.
Then he went back to the room with the hotel’s bathrobe on, ready to just go to sleep after the exhausting day and the night he had.
He closed the light, then went to fall into the bed which felt too big, empty and cold now…
====
(ngl, this was supposed to be just pwp, but I just had to sprinkle some angst in there. I feel like this is a start up for some enemy-to-friend-to-lover kinda story)

Tumblr media
Please be gentle this is my first ever posted fanfic so I apologize if anyone seems ooc. I thought I would try my hand at tickletober this year as an opportunity to practice my writing fanfic. I hope you all enjoy!
Tickletober prompt 9: Trapped
Pairing: Hualian
lee!huacheng, ler!xie lian
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trapped
This was ridiculous, so ridiculous in fact he couldn’t understand it.  He is Crimson Rain Sought Flower, a ghost king supreme for crying out loud!  He was strong and powerful, the entire world knew, so it didn’t make sense for when he found himself in this predicament….
Both of his index fingers are currently trapped in a finger trap, a damn toy, and he couldn’t seem to get his fingers out.   He pulled and tried and many other methods, they just won’t budge.
  “San Lang! I’m home, San Lang” Xie Lian says after coming home from his adventures of the day, he wore a bright smile as usual when he greets his husband, however it falters seeing that his husband seemed distracted by something.  “San Lang?” he says curiously, he approaches the man as he grabs his arm to see what’s gotten his lover’s attention.
  “Gege! When did you come home, I mean…” Hua Cheng is happy upon seeing his husband and granting him a welcome home kiss, almost forgetting about the situation.  Breaking away from the kiss, Xie Lian looks down at Hua Cheng’s hands and beems “oh is this one of those finger trap toys children play with?” Hua Cheng sighs, “mm” he confirms, “this lowly one… may be stuck.. gege don’t laugh” he pouts when Xie Lian couldn’t stop himself from laughing at his poor husband.
  “San Lang, oh San Lang, what am I going to do with you” Xie Lian says fondly as he takes hold of the ghost king’s hands, but before he was about to help, an idea popped into the prince’s head.  He lets go and stares at Hua Cheng with a smile that the other knows oh too well.  It’s his becoming-more common mischievous smile and the ghost king gasps when he feels a poke to his ribcage.
  “Okay okay, gege, whatever you’re about to do, can we talk about this” he pulls on his fingers again to no avail.  The crown prince giggled and seeing really that he could not escape he sneaks his hands through the other’s robes, who had already been in his night robes offering easy access to wiggly fingers that now scribble all over the ghost king’s ribs causing said ghost king to let out a squeak and loud laughter, and bending over trying to protect his sensitive spots.“GEGEEHEHEheh! nohoho ahaha!” Hua Cheng couldn’t keep his composure for long, after having been together for so long Xie Lian knew just the right spots to touch to wreck him.
Still trying to pull his fingers out of the trap he tries to escape the tickling “pleahehehse gege, haahahave merhehehcy”, he cackles when those teasy fingers make their way to his underarms.  By clasping his arms close they trap Xie Lian’s fingers, but that doesn’t make the tickling stop.  “But you didn't stop when you were tickling me the other day!” Xie Lian said as of matter of factly “it’s only fair that I get you back” his fingers scribbled down from his beloved’s underarms, down his ribs and finally getting to their final target that made Hua Cheng involuntarily gasp and tried to escape again and pulled on the finger trap.
Xie Lian stopped for a moment to give his husband a break, even though he did not need to breathe. The ghost king pouts “gege, stop teasing this lowly and one and help get this oahahf mehehe NO gehege dohohnt!” Xie Lian giggled “I haven’t even touched you yet” he says simply as his hands rest on the other’s hips, Hua Cheng’s worst spot.  His thumbs are laying on the hollows of his hip bones, amused with how tense in anticipation his husband has become.  Without warning the thumbs are drilling into the hollows, and his hands squeezing the hip bones with just the right pressure.
Hua Cheng barked out a loud laugh and threw his head back as his laughter grew hysterical and he ends up pressed against a wall and tickled to pieces. “AHAHAHA GEGE GEHEHEGE NOOHOHO AHAHAHA I CANT” he tries to slide down to the floor but his strong husband keeps him in place and even nibbles against the ghost king’s neck that drives him crazy.
  “Hehe tickle tickle San Lang, laugh for me”, so caught up in teasing his husband, what he doesn’t notice is during the whole tickle fiasco, Hua Cheng had been pulling at the finger trap whether on purpose or from the tickling.  He doesn’t notice the pop sound when the ghost king manages to break free of the finger trap from the constant force.  “HAHA SAN LANG NOOooo!”
As soon as he was free his hands shot down to tickle at Xie Lian’s sides, to get him to stop his own ticklish torment, but to also get him back. Xie Lian squealed and instantly withdrew his hands to protect his own body from the new onslaught of tickles given by his husband.
Hua Cheng only stopped when he came up with an idea of his own, that involves the finger trap, Xie Lian and a ticklish revenge, and maybe something spicier?Xie Lian is always eager to try something new, especially with his husband.
Modern Hualian AU where Xie Lian and San Lang are pinning, but for some reason, every time they both lean in for a kiss, their hands a little too handsy, Xie Lian pulls away at the last second in a cold sweat. San Lang of course never wants to do anything he’s uncomfortable with, but he observes after the third time (thanks to self deprivation) that his fear is far too primal than not being ready to date yet. When he tries to push him, Xie Lian quickly leaves in a rush, and doesn’t contact him for days.
Worried, San Lang goes to visit him, only to get attacked in the parking lot by a masked assailant. He easily deals with them and fears for Xie Lian, nearly knocking his door down. Seeing him with a cut on his cheek, Xie Lian falls into anguish, begging for his forgiveness as he finally admits he has a stalker, one that’s been around for a long time, always hurting, threatening, and has even killed people who dared get close to him. He never meant to get close to San Lang, but after being alone for so, so long, he’s come to miss the company of another, of being able to speak to someone, to be listened to, of hearing comforting words directed at him, and soft touches (what are those?). The more they hung out, fate making them cross paths, the more selfish Xie Lian became. Thanks to San Lang, he learned how simple it is to be happy. Due to his selfishness though, no matter how mutual it was, San Lang was now being targeted. In his car, his own home, his work (the CEO of the Gambler’s Den)
But San Lang won’t give up his heart’s dearest treasure easily. Knowing that someone else has and is still tormenting his beloved makes the devil burst from him. He has connections. He has power. And he rules a good portion of the Underworld. He makes the stalker’s life hell, enjoying the chase and torment, rubbing salt into the wounds as he keeps Xie Lian with him, keeping him safe, and loved.... until they reveal their true identity, which makes Xie Lian grow pale in disbelief. Maybe San Lang gets injured protecting Xie Lian, and he finally just loses it and takes them down, or Xie Lian protects San Lang, laughing weakly saying “Now I’ll never be yours.” He doesn’t die of course they save him in time fasdfasd what even is this i need to sleep
Tumblr media
Pairing: Hualian, Hua Cheng x Xie Lian, modern, but not a modern AU
Warnings: Toothrotting fluff, I cannot be held accountable for the cavities you may get.
*. : 。✿ * ゚ * .: 。 ✿ * ゚ * . : 。 ✿ **. : 。✿ * ゚ * .: 。 ✿ * ゚ * . : 。
The rain poured outside, it's pitter-patter hitting the roof casting a soothing ambiance in Xie Lian and Hua Cheng's home. Xie Lian had proposed a movie night. It had been a while since the two of them were able to spend time with each other.
As the way the economy was working began shifting a long time ago the two of them found themselves having to adjust to 'modern' life. They found jobs for a while. His San Lang was quick to establish his own company.
When it became a hit Hua Cheng had told him there wasn't any need for him to work anymore, he could stay home and spend his days as he wished.
But, Xie Lian found he quite liked working. Though, he did cut back to working only part time. He enjoys seeing fresh faces and occasionally making a new friend.
He smiles to himself as he thinks back on a few of the fun personalities he's met. He finishes adjusting the pillows and blankets he's made a pile out of, and moves the snacks he'd grabbed from the pantry to the side so they're out of the way for the two of them to settle down.
He turns off the overhead lights, leaving only the lamps on so the room is dimmer.
As he stands with his hands on his hips, smiling proudly to himself he feels a hand sneak around him and a kiss to the side of his temple.
He smiles as he turns to Hua Cheng. His husband squeezes him closer with one arm while the other supports a tray with popcorn, hot chocolate, and a plate of cookies they'd made the night before.
The cookies didn't come out great, but at least they were only burnt this time.
Hua Cheng scans the pile of blankets in front of the couch and gives Xie Lian a cheeky smile, "It looks like Gege had a fun time in here? The few refreshments I brought pale in comparison to your work."
He's teasing and Xie Lian knows it, but he still smiles sheepishly as Hua Cheng let's go to place his tray to the side with the snacks.
"I just wanted to make sure the floor would be comfortable for us, And I appreciate San Lang's snacks very much." He takes a seat in the blanket pile and grabs Hua Cheng's sleeve to pull him in.
Hua Cheng lands with a soft 'oof' even though they both know Xie Lian wasn't using enough strength to really pull him down. The two of them laugh for a moment as Hua Cheng wraps an arm around shoulders and pulls him in close.
Xie Lian grabs the remote and turns on the TV. As the movie began, their focus shifted entirely to the screen.
The first movie that came on was an action-packed adventure, filled with a classic hero and villain dynamic and epic battles. They exchange whispers of excitement when they remark the thrilling scenes. Xie Lians eyes shine with awe as he finds one actors stances, fake or not, to be exceptional.
Occasionally Xie Lian leans into Hua Cheng's embrace, though Hua Cheng's body us naturally cold he feels warmth and love there.
After the action movie, Xie Lian quickly flips the channel to find a heartwarming romantic comedy. He selects it, knowing that Hua Cheng, whether he'll admit it or not, has a soft spot for such stories.
The characters on the screen navigated through comedic misunderstandings and eventual confessions of love. Xie Lian couldn't help but giggle at certain witty dialogues, glancing sideways at Hua Cheng who sported an affectionate smile.
As the movie went on, Xie Lian found himself growing drowsy. Though he doesn't need sleep as a heavenly official he's noticed every now and then when he and Hua Cheng are wrapped around each other like this he feels sleepy like this.
He let's his eyelids droop, his weight slowly leaning on Hua Cheng's chest. Feeling his beloved's fatigue, Hua Cheng wraps his other arm around Xie Lian, holding him close and providing a comfortable resting space.
Softly, Hua Cheng murmured, "Rest, my precious Gege. I'll keep you safe and warm."
With that Xie Lian's eyes fluttered closed, lulled by the soothing sounds of the rain outside and the movie playing in the background. They remained like that, intertwined on the couch, as he drifted off.
When Xie Lian awoke the movie was long over. Hua Cheng had covered them both with a blanket, shieldinf them from the chilly air. Xie Lian smiled, feeling a deep sense of gratitude for the love and care Hua Cheng constantly showered upon him.
He remembers a time when he was so alone, he thought the whole world had abandoned him.
While he's certain he'll never forget those events, he's glad as he can feel himself slowly for getting what it feels like to be so alone.
"Thank you, San Lang." Xie Lian whispers, his voice almost silent as he drifts off again.
A/N: This takes place in modern times but it isn't a modern universe.
Hua Cheng cracks his eye open, pressing a gentle kiss to Xie Lian's nose, causing an amused puff of air to leave him.
"Anything for my beloved Dianxia."
This is just me assuming the two of them make it to the modern day.
I'd like to believe they do, regardless of if it's cannon or not!
Side note, does anyone know how to center text on tumblr?
I tried to figure out how to center with html for like an hour and just couldn't get it to work for some reason.
@voidrest xie lian had encountered many, both in his time as crowned prince and as a martial god. there had been those of opulence, some whose hearts were mantled in the darkness of rapacity, deceit flowing like blood through their veins. he had also spent time in the slums offering freshly picked cherries, juicy, luminous and red, to the children who called mu qing, and, later xie lian by gege and had shared them without selfishness. there were those of ill will, their intentions debased by greed and iniquity and those whose intentions were good, they need not always be benevolent but xie lian had cultivated the ability to tell one from the other; san lang, was the latter without incertitude. to be in his company had filled xie lian with a sense of serenity, as if their steps in tandem were as innate to him as the beat of his heart or a breath of fresh air. after many years without a place of his own, their shrine, dilapidated as it once was, had become such because san lang was there with him. when their eyes would meet, fleeting or otherwise, xie lian would find himself smiling, that world of theirs, closed to others in that moment, felt the most important to him. upon that afternoon, as rubiscent ribbons wreathed through the skies, the color now a unity of muted peach and soft mauve, they had decided to travel to the nearest city for the market. there would be a myriad of fresh fruits and vegetables and xie lian was anticipating the meal san lang might make of them. many of their nights now, after the shrine had been swept and catered to, were spent cooking together. xie lian felt now,he was almost capable of doing so with his own hands, san lang had not seemed quite so convinced. xie lian had laughed, mellifluous and assured him that no sickness would come from a meal xie lan would cook for him. the carriage they rode upon, stacked high with golden straw, was that of an old farmer who lived not far from the shrine. In the passing weeks he had familiarized himself with the two of them, visiting the shrine most mornings to light incense and pray to their patron deity. sometimes, he brought tea to share with them, or fruits he had picked from his orchard. when xie lian had mentioned in passing they were becoming short on supplies he had offered, quite insistently, to have them accompany him on his next trip into the city. reluctantly, xie lian had complied and so they rode together with the market their destination. san lang’s teasing was gentle,  as was the dark obsidian of his eye. xie lian smiles, svelte fingers resting against his own, only just.  “  i quite like traveling with san lang like this.” his words were soft, his own hair caught upon playful zephyrs and rustled with the wind. their gazes meet and hold one another with an immensity much more profound than the moment they found themselves in.  “ i trust san lang.” tentatively,  he allowed his fingers to fall beneath san langs. there had been times where they had been close, so close and san lang had retreated as if burnt, xie lian treats that comfort paramount, thus looks to him from assurance. silently, he had yearned for these moments to last and for san lang’s touch to find him but was also content with how things were. “ if the market is to be dangerous, I will also protect san lang.”  to return to him this favor, to prevent him from slipping through xie lian’s fingers, which had somehow always felt a possibility when his dark eye grew distant or he pulled away from xie lian’s touch.
TGCF SPOILAS
-------------------------------
E'MING IS SO CUTE THOO and this whole scene, lmao Pei Ming is like what is this cutsey family bs (minus hua cheng being mean to E'ming lol) I'm seeing in the middle of the bloodiest battle in history, like nope, I'm out
E'ming, who tried so enthusiastically to offer itself up but ended up soblatantly rejected, weepingly hopped back to Hua Cheng’s side. Hua Cheng didn’t even spare it a look before he smacked it with a backhand slap.
“What are you crying about? Isn’t it because you’re useless? Trash!”
E'ming fell flat on the ground like a piece of unwanted scrap metal, like it dropped dead from that strike. Xie Lian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, and immediately picked E'ming up in his arms and stroked it a few times.
“Nothing of the sort. Don’t listen to him, you’re not trash, you’re very useful!”
Pei Ming couldn’t stand the mood in the circle anymore. He stepped out, standing at the boundary, slowly pulling out his sword once more.
YOOO REUNION TIME??? KE MO???
Xie Lian's reaction after his cunning little plan is successful, like I can't with him, so precious
Xie Lian wiped away his cold sweat. “It’s nothing, it’s nothing, much ashamed.”
THIS WHOLE SCENE LMAOO I WAS DYING
Xie Lian also didn’t think this looked serious at all, and said courteously, “General Pei, stepping on legs really isn’t very convincing, can you maybe…make him think you’ve got him by something critical?”
“Your Highness, don’t say something like that so easily,” Pei Ming said. “If it wasn’t because I refuse to do something so classless, you think I’d want to step on legs? Why don’t you come grab him where it hurts?”
“…”
In any case, neither of them were willing to grab that kind of critical place.
LMao, i loved this part so much, I can't pick if I liked Rong Guang's reaction more or whatever the heck Xie Lian and E'Ming were doing lol
It was only some praise, no big deal. So Xie Lian said, “Very well. E'ming, listen closely: you are handsome and carefree, cute and kind, clever and intelligent, gentle and determined, number one in the world…
He trailed off, then stopped. Pei Ming started clapping soundly. Outside the circle, Ming'guang had a face full of disbelief, and was crying furiously.
“WHAT KIND OF WICKED SPELL IS THIS? HOW COME I’VE NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE?!”
EFNEBJFBE BANYUE??? PEI SU?? HIGH SCHOOL REUNION BASiCALLY?? alsooo hmm,,, rain master is here?? Pei Ming has some grudges against the water master so he is not a part of the 'benefits' that were negotiated....I wonder why he's here
Not PEI MING BEING NO.1 HUALIAN SHIPPER, but also does no one in heaven have any sense of privacy??? First Jun Wu and now him??
Xie Lian almost fell over from shock. When he turned his head to look, Pei Ming was crouched down next to him.
Sounding unusually indignant and resentful, Xie Lian said, “General Pei, can you not look?!”
Pei Ming raised his hands. “Alright, alright, alright, I won’t look.”
Ok hold up, I'm confused;
And this fight was the last battle of his life
So are heavenly officials dead, and THEN they ascend? Or are they still alive, and then they ascend? Cuz I remember Xie Lian's third and first ascensions were when he was alive and well... Unless it's case by case, and some ascend alive while some ascend after dying? Ya, I'm confused cuz how else could this be Pei Ming's final battle during his life? I'm pretty sure he fought more battles after ascension? Wait, the sword snapping WAS his means to ascension, correct?
“Sleeping with you was the best sleep I’ve gotten in years.”
— #13 from this prompt list
Morning. The sun was softly shining through the gaps in the curtains of Xie Lian's room, illuminating and warming the fabrics of the covers under which Hua Cheng and Xie Lian were still sleeping, tangled together.
It was Xie Lian who woke up first. Slowly, gently, the same way a dream begins and ends — a fade in and out from one thing to another. One moment he was asleep, another he was awake, and yet the transition felt long enough that it was not brutal.
He blinked his eyes open, feeling so warm, so comfortable, taking in the weight of Hua Cheng's arm around him and the lovely feeling of their tangled legs, the sight of his lashes resting softly on his cheeks as he slept, the messy hair who was usually so well brushed.
A smile of overwhelming joy grew on Xie Lian's face, liquid warmth making its way down his throat and onto his chest until he couldn't help but giggle from sheer joy alone.
Despite his efforts to be quiet, his movements must have woken Hua Cheng as he stirred, only scooting closer, seeking Xie Lian's touch.
When he opened his eyes, his smile mirrored Xie Lian's one and his gaze was full of love.
"Good morning," Hua Cheng rasped, finding Xie Lian's hand to lace their fingers together and place a kiss on the back of his hand. "Slept well?"
Xie Lian's cheek already hurt from the smiling. "Perfect," he whispered in reponse. "How about San Lang?"
"Sleeping with you was the best sleep I've gotten in years." He closed his eyes and let his forehead touch Xie Lian's.
"Really?"
"Really," he confirmed with a soft laugh before pulling back and gazing at Xie Lian again. He let go of Xie Lian's hand to raise it instead, pushing a few strand of hair out of his face and cupping Xie Lian's cheek. "I'm looking forward to waking up like this every day of my life now," he said.
Xie Lian huffed a laugh, looking away. "San Lang..."
He glanced back and was met with a grin. "What? We're boyfriends now, right? Let a man dream. I would propose to you right now if it wasn't too early."
"Is it too early?"
"It's only 9am, isn't that too early? I think it can wait at least until we eat breakfast."
"That's not...!" Xie Lian started, but gave up, laughing along instead.
It was a bit early, as Hua Cheng and him had only confessed to each other last night in a wild turn of events and had only spent their first night together, but he couldn't deny the impatience simmering deep inside of him.
The impatience to start being a couple with San Lang. To do what lovers did. To fall asleep and wake up together everyday. To go on dates and buy flowers and gifts for each other and kiss, and touch, and more, and he couldn't wait to discover even more of what all of that entailed.
It wouldn't change much — they already behaved pretty much like a couple, almost anyway, according to their friends — but it'd still be new. Like a new layer to their already blooming relationship.
Xie Lian wrapped his arms around Hua Chengs neck and hugged him close.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you," Hua Cheng whispered into his ear. "Now let's get up and get breakfast so that I can propose to you faster."
— end
Fengqing 12: Live
There was movement as someone slid into their bed.
Mu Qing, groggy with sleepiness, felt strong arms wrap around his waist in bed. He felt warm, safe, and comfortable. He felt at home. There was no need to open his eyes; he knew who it was. Feng Xin had come home.
Arms tightened around his waist, pulling him closer, and soft lips nuzzled against his neck and shoulders. He shivered as he felt Feng Xin’s warm breaths lingering on his skin.
"Mmm, Feng Xin," Mu Qing mumbled out sleepily, eyes still closed. He turned around to face Feng Xin, and pulled him into a long, slow, and soft kiss.
"I care for you, I love you. You know that?" Feng Xin says as he pulls away from the kiss. His amber eyes are looking right into Mu Qing’s soul as he gently cups his soft face with strong hands.
"I love you so much, remember that," he adds softly, his hand moving from Mu Qing’s jaw to push his hair behind his ears. "But I have to go now," he says with a gentle smile. "You’ll be okay,"
Mu Qing, still groggy with sleepiness and mild lust, opens his eyes fully and sees clearly as Feng Xin slowly fades away into darkness. This isn’t right. His heart beats faster.
“Mu Qing, you need to wake up,” he hears Feng Xin softly, his fading face still holding a smile.
No-
He got up immediately, his eyes sore and tired, as if he’d been crying for a while. It was a dream. There was no Feng Xin in bed with him. He could feel his left hand still clutching tightly onto Feng Xin’s favourite yellow hair ribbon, and his bloodshot eyes landed on the large wooden bow on his table, still covered in dark brown spots of dried blood. His heart sank.
Mu Qing wailed.
His Feng Xin, who fought three devastation ghosts alone for two days to protect his worshippers, until pain and exhaustion overtook him, resulting in fatal stabs into his stomach, chest, and heart.
It was too late by the time Mu Qing, held up by his own battles, arrived at the scene of a lifeless god in the middle of a destroyed village.
He dropped to his knees next to his god’s cold body, and noticed that Feng Xin was smiling, even in death.
He misses that stupid smile. He misses the way Feng Xin furrows his eyebrows and scratches his head when he’s confused. He misses his angry, loud, thunderous voice when Mu Qing annoys him. He misses the way his eyes would soften when he mentioned his favorite flower, the one he never fails to get for Mu Qing every month. He misses Feng Xin so much.
A light knock on the door pulls him back to reality.
"Mu Qing, are you ready?" Xie Lian walks into his room, his own face filled with somberness. "The funeral’s starting soon," He sees Mu Qing sitting up in bed, still in his sleeping robe. "I’ll let them know we need a few more minutes," he smiles sadly.
"Thank you, your highness," Mu Qing replied, his voice soft and raspy, as he got out of bed to get ready. "It won’t take long."
Xie Lian leaves and closes the door behind him. Mu Qing starts his bath, using only Feng Xin’s favourite scented soaps and oils.
He’ll live, he tells himself as he soaks into the warm bath. He knows it won’t be easy without Feng Xin, but he’ll live.
For Feng Xin.
