Buttonberry Rescue

Name: Stitchwick

Species: Buttonberry

Morph: None(standard Buttonberry morphs are round-headed, small-bodied bitties with button eyes and stitched smiles. Their limbs are floppy, and they have soft felt-like textures. Known for being extremely small and docile, they are emotionally sensitive and thrive on quiet affection and gentle environments.)

Age: 3 years

Size: 3 inches tall

Personality: Stitchwick is incredibly shy, preferring to stay in quiet corners or curled up in small spaces. He warms up slowly but loves soft words, gentle pats, and cozy nests. He's not talkative but will hum or softly squeak when content. Timid around loud voices or aggressive movements, Stitchwick relies heavily on calm, predictable routines to feel safe.

Compatibility: Stitchwick is most comfortable with other gentle bitties, especially Sans, Papyrus, and Grillby types. He will get along very well with a kind Brassberry, especially one who’s protective without being overbearing. He’s fearful of aggressive Edgy morphs, but with enough distance and no conflict, he can coexist. He also enjoys the company of his sibling species, Stitches, though they require occasional time apart to prevent emotional overload. Adopting another Swap Papyrus type can help with this as most arent as aggressive as Stitches types.

Main Info: Buttonberry bitties like Stitchwick are tiny and emotionally fragile, requiring slow introductions and extra care. Stitchwick may spend days tucked away before making contact, but once bonded, he becomes deeply loyal and affectionate in his own soft, quiet way. He is incredibly gentle and makes a great companion for calm households, though chaotic ones may stress him out.

Additional info: Stitchwick is prone to stress if handled too roughly or exposed to sudden noises. He needs a warm, padded nest or a bitty sized house to retreat into. He collects small scraps of fabric or thread and may use them to “decorate” his space.

Feeding habits: Prefers soft foods like warm pudding, mashed fruits, or blended soups. Must be hand-fed at first or provided with a shallow dish. Drinks very little at a time, often from a tiny dropper or spoon.

Injuries: No physical injuries, but shows signs of emotional neglect and mild anxiety from early abandonment.

Special requirements: Needs a quiet, low-stimulation environment, soft bedding, and plenty of patience. Avoid pairing with dominant or high-energy bitties unless extremely well-trained.

Warnings: May shut down emotionally if overwhelmed. Handle slowly and never force interaction. Requires daily check-ins to ensure he's eating and comfortable.

Reasons for rescue: Was dropped off at the foster home after previous caretakers could not meet his emotional needs.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Color/Pattern: Soft grey body with pale lavender stitching, white button eyes, and tiny sky-blue thread bows on wrists and ankles.
