What does this mean? Lily is wearing a different type of clothes in this drawing. Also, Goth seems uncomfortable?

Goth suffers from canon info deficiency (and it might be worse than you think)

Remember Goth's origin story? 

Reaper met Geno, they... Did stuff, Goth appeared with them in the bed. Goth went on to live with Reaper in the Reapertale au and Goth only met Geno when he was a bit older due to Geno leaving so Goth wouldn't have to live in the depressing save screen, as Nekophy said.

Except it was all a lie, and Geno just left for ketchup🍅.

Wait what? Goth's only scraps of lore are not real? I really need someone to clear this up, because if it won't be cleared up...

Well. In the original Aftertale, before Geno met Sans, he was pretty unstable, plus he got manipulated by Gaster. He didn't know he could leave just by restoring his HP with a pie, how would he know if he hadn't figured things out with the help of Sans and Papyrus yet? So unless Reaper found Geno BEFORE he escaped, there was no way for Goth's story to make sense. Because that was the only way for Geno to still be stuck, without a possibility to care for Goth and with a need to stay in the Save Screen.

But the problem is. Even if it were the case, it would make Reaper's relationship with Geno impossible since he was more focused on erasing his universe ... Better yet, it would mean either the timeline went on and Geno could escape with help from Papyrus or Sans eventually, so Goth could get his father back, OR Geno got stuck in the save screen forever. It gets complicated, doesn't it?

To avoid this, Reaper would have to meet Geno AFTER he escaped. It would have to involve a bit of good old "got into the universe by accident" or some "alternative universe" shenanigans for them to meet instead of them being brough together by Reaper wanting to take his soul, but at least Goth could have his father back (although they would have to be careful not to turn Geno into dust in other ways, so Reaper and Geno would have to go into a time-stopping place to even TOUCH each other).

So. Did Geno just CHOOSE to stay in the save screen? Dumping all of the child-raising responsibilities on guys from Reapertale? Did he leave for ketchup? I'm sorry that you have such a bad father Goth 😔

Anyway. It means that if this is true, we don't really have much canon lore for Goth, except the fact that he likes butterflies, reading, and is a sarcastic goofball. Which makes me sad, because besides the Goth origin there wasn't much to learn about him
